[0058] An optical touch sensing device (200) can be combined with a display module (100) to detect a user's touch. This optical touch sensing device (200) can include a guide frame (210), an optical touch sensing unit (220), a cover glass (230), and a front cover (240).

[0059] The guide frame (210) can support the lower part of the frame of the cover glass (230) and the side of the cover glass (230). This guide frame (210) can ensure that the optical touch sensing device (200) is installed in the display module (100) at an accurate position and can provide a space where the optical touch sensing unit (220) is installed.

[0060] The guide frame (210) can guide the position where the cover glass (230) providing the touch surface is installed. That is, the touch surface of the cover glass (230) can be arranged to correspond to the display area of the display module (100) by the guide frame (210).

[0061] As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 8, the guide frame (210) may include a pair of first frames (211) extending in a first direction and a pair of second frames (215) extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction. For example, the second frame (215) may extend in a direction perpendicular to the first frame (211).

[0062] The first frame (211) may include a first vertical portion (211A) corresponding to a side of the cover glass (230) and a first horizontal portion (211B) having a shape that is bent and extended from the first vertical portion (211A).

[0063] A first groove (211BA) may be provided on the upper surface of one of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second horizontal portion (215B), for example, one end of the first horizontal portion (211B). A first catch (211BB) having a shape corresponding to the first groove (211BA) may be provided on the lower surface of the other end of the first horizontal portion (211B).

[0064] One of the first vertical portion (211A) and the second vertical portion (215A), for example, one end of the first vertical portion (211A), may be provided with a first flange (211AA) having a first through-hole (211AB) extending in a first direction and into which a screw can be inserted in a second direction. In addition, the other end of the first vertical portion (211A) may be provided with a second flange (211AC) having a second through-hole (211AD) extending in the first direction and into which a screw can be inserted in a direction perpendicular to a plane formed by the first and second directions.

[0065] The second frame (215) may include a second vertical portion (215A) corresponding to a side of the cover glass (230) and a second horizontal portion (215B) having a shape that is bent and extended from the second vertical portion (215A).

[0066] A second groove (215BA) having a shape corresponding to the first groove (211BA) may be provided on the upper surface of one end of the second horizontal portion (215B), and a second catch (215BB) having a shape corresponding to the first groove (211BA) may be provided on the lower surface of the other end of the second horizontal portion (215B).

[0067] At one end of the second vertical portion (215A), a third flange (215AA) extending in the second direction and corresponding to the second flange (211AC) and having a third aperture (215AB) corresponding to the second aperture (211AD) may be provided.

[0069] As described above, the first groove (211BA) of one end of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second catch (215BB) of the other end of the second horizontal portion (215B) can be combined, and the first catch (211BB) of the other end of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second groove (215BA) of one end of the second horizontal portion (215B) can be combined. Accordingly, the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) can be combined to complete the guide frame (210).

[0070] A screw may be inserted into the first through hole (211AB) and the screw hole (215AC) so that one side of the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) may be joined. Here, a portion of the screw that has passed through the first through hole (211AB) may be inserted into the screw hole (215AC), thereby joining the first frame (211) and the second frame (215).

[0071] Screws may also be inserted into the second aperture (211AD) and the third aperture (215AB) so that the other sides of the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) may be joined. Here, a portion of the screw that has passed through the second aperture (211AD) may be inserted into the third aperture (215AB), thereby joining the first frame (211) and the second frame (215). In particular, since the second aperture (211AD) is provided in the second flange (211AC) and the third aperture (215AB) is provided in the third flange (215AA), screw fastening may be performed from the outside of the guide frame (210). Accordingly, since the screws for fastening the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) do not interfere with the inner space of the guide frame (210), it is possible to implement an ultra-slim optical touch sensing device (200) and a display device (1000).

[0072] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first groove (211BA) and the second catch (215BB) are coupled, and the second groove (215BA) and the first catch (211BB) can be coupled. Therefore, even when external stress is applied, the twisting of the guide frame (210) can be prevented by the coupling structure of the first groove (211BA) and the second catch (215BB) and the coupling structure of the second groove (215BA) and the first catch (211BB).

[0073] Meanwhile, in the above, it has been described that the first groove (211BA) of one end of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second catch (215BB) of the other end of the second horizontal portion (215B) are combined, and the first catch (211BB) of the other end of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second groove (215BA) of one end of the second horizontal portion (215B) are combined, thereby combining the first frame (211) and the second frame (215), but the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0074] Below, with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5, another combination structure of the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) is described.

[0075] As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, a first groove (211BA) may be provided on the upper surface of both ends of the first horizontal portion (211B). In addition, a second catch (215BB) having a shape corresponding to the first groove (211BA) may be provided on the lower surface of both ends of the second horizontal portion (215B).

[0076] A first flange (211AA) having a first hole (211AB) extending in a first direction and into which a screw can be inserted in a second direction may be provided at both ends of the first vertical portion (211A). In addition, a screw hole (215AC) corresponding to the first hole (211AB) and into which at least a portion of a screw inserted into the first hole (211AB) may be inserted may be provided at both ends of the second vertical portion (215A).

[0077] The first frame (211) and the second frame (215) having the structure described above can be combined to complete the guide frame (210). Here, the first groove (211BA) at both ends of the first horizontal portion (211B) and the second catches (215BB) at both ends of the second horizontal portion (215B) can be combined. Therefore, even if external stress is applied, the twisting of the guide frame (210) can be prevented by the combined structure of the first groove (211BA) and the second catches (215BB).

[0078] Additionally, a screw may be inserted into the first through hole (211AB) and the screw hole (215AC) to connect the first frame (211) and the second frame (215). By inserting a portion of the screw that has passed through the first through hole (211AB) into the screw hole (215AC), the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) may be connected.

[0079] Below, another combination structure of the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) is described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8.

[0080] As illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8, a second groove (215BA) may be provided on the upper surface of both ends of the second horizontal portion (215B). In addition, a first catch (211BB) having a shape corresponding to the second groove (215BA) may be provided on the lower surface of both ends of the first horizontal portion (211B).

[0081] A second flange (211AC) may be provided at both ends of the first vertical portion (211A) that extends in the first direction and has a second through hole (211AD) into which a screw can be inserted in a direction perpendicular to the plane formed by the first and second directions. A third flange (215AA) may be provided at both ends of the second vertical portion (215A) that has a third through hole (215AB) corresponding to the second through hole (211AD) and extends in the second direction.

[0082] The first frame (211) and the second frame (215) having the structure described above can be combined to complete the guide frame (210). Here, the second grooves (215BA) at both ends of the second horizontal portion (215B) and the first catches (211BB) at both ends of the first horizontal portion (211B) can be combined. Therefore, even if external stress is applied, the twisting of the guide frame (210) can be prevented by the combined structure of the second grooves (215BA) and the first catches (211BB).

[0083] Additionally, screws may be inserted into the second hole (211AD) and the third hole (215AB) so that the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) may be combined. Here, a portion of the screw that has passed through the second hole (211AD) may be inserted into the third hole (215AB), so that the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) may be combined.

[0084] In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 8, a substrate fixing member (227) may be provided on the portion where the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) are coupled, i.e., the portion where the second flange (211AC) and the third flange (215AA) are coupled. The substrate fixing member (227) is positioned in close contact with the side portions of the first circuit board (221B) and the second circuit board (225B), thereby preventing the first circuit board (221B) and the second circuit board (225B) from moving due to external impact or stress.

[0085] The optical touch sensing unit (220) includes a light emitting unit (221) and a light receiving unit (225), and can be installed in the guide frame (210). In one embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting unit (221) and the light receiving unit (225) of the optical touch sensing unit (220) include a movement prevention unit (221D, 225D) to prevent movement, and thus, the touch sensitivity can be improved.

[0086] The light emitting unit (221) may include a light source (221A), a first circuit board (221B), a first optical filter (221C), and a first flow prevention unit (221D).

[0087] The light source (221A) is provided at a certain distance from the first optical filter (221C) and can be mounted on the first circuit board (221B). The light source (221A) can generate and emit light, for example, infrared rays. The light emitted from the light source (221A) can be incident on the light receiving portion (225).

[0088] The first circuit board (221B) may have a shape extending in a direction perpendicular to the display panel or cover glass (230) of the display module (100). The first circuit board (221B) provides a space in which a light source (221A) can be mounted, and may be installed in a part of the guide frame (210), for example, one of a pair of first frames (211) and one of a pair of second frames (215). Here, the first vertical portion (211A) of the first frame (211) and the second vertical portion (215A) of the second frame (215) may provide a space in which the first circuit board (221B) is installed.

[0089] For example, the first vertical portion (211A) and the second vertical portion (215A) may include a first extension portion (210A) that extends in a direction perpendicular to the cover glass (230) and covers a side of the display module (100), a second extension portion (210B) that is bent from the first extension portion (210A), and a third extension portion (210C) that is bent from the second extension portion (210B) and is parallel to the first extension portion (210A). Here, a first circuit board (221B) may be installed within a space formed by the first extension portion (210A), the second extension portion (210B), and the third extension portion (210C). In addition, a recess (210D) may be provided in the first extension portion (210A) of the first frame (211) and the second frame (215), and a step may be provided on the edge of the recess (210D). The first circuit board (221B) may be installed in the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) in a form that is inserted into the step-shaped area of the recess (210D) formed by the step. In addition, the recess (210D) may space the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) from the first circuit board (221B).

[0090] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, it has been described as an example that the first circuit board (221B) is installed in one of the pair of first frames (211) and one of the pair of second frames (215), but it is not limited thereto. For example, the first circuit board (221B) may be installed in only one of the pair of first frames (211) or in only one of the pair of second frames (215).

[0091] The first optical filter (221C) is arranged at the upper end of the first vertical portion (211A) and the second vertical portion (215A), and may be provided between the light source (221A) and the light receiving portion (225) in the light propagation path. The first optical filter (221C) may filter out light having a wavelength other than that used for touch detection among the light emitted from the light source (221A). For example, the first optical filter (221C) may transmit infrared rays among the light emitted from the light source (221A), and filter out light other than infrared rays.

[0092] At least a portion of the first optical filter (221C) may be provided with a first reflective surface (221CR) inclined along the light propagation path. A first reflective member (not shown) capable of reflecting light may be provided on the first reflective surface (221CR). Light reflected from the first reflective surface (221CR) may travel along the surface of the cover glass (230) to the light receiving unit (225).

[0093] On a plane parallel to the cover glass (230), the first optical filter (221C) may not overlap with the cover glass (230). For example, on a plane parallel to the cover glass (230), the first optical filter (221C) may be positioned spaced apart from the cover glass (230).

[0094] The first flow prevention unit (221D) may be positioned between the first circuit board (221B) and the third extension unit (210C). Furthermore, the first flow prevention unit (221D) may be formed of an elastic material. For example, the first flow prevention unit (221D) may be formed of urethane foam.

[0095] The first flow prevention unit (221D) can guide the first circuit board (221B) on which the light source (221A) is mounted so that it is installed in an accurate position. For example, when the first circuit board (221B) is installed in the guide frame (210), the first flow prevention unit (221D) can guide the installation position of the first circuit board (221B) on which the light source (221A) is mounted. Therefore, the first flow prevention unit (221D) can improve the touch sensitivity of the optical touch detection device (200) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0096] The first flow prevention part (221D) made of an elastic material can fix the position of the first circuit board (221B) and prevent movement of the light source (221A) and the first circuit board (221B) even when an external impact occurs.

[0097] As described above, the first movement prevention unit (221D) can guide the installation position of the first circuit board (221B) and simultaneously fix the positions of the light source (221A) and the first circuit board (221B). Therefore, the first movement prevention unit (221D) can ensure that the first circuit board (221B) is installed in the correct position and prevent movement of the light source (221A) and the first circuit board (221B) due to external impact.

[0098] In a typical touch sensing device, the circuit board may move within the guide frame due to external impact or stress. If the circuit board moves, light emitted from a light source mounted on the circuit board cannot accurately enter the light-receiving element. However, an optical touch sensing device (200) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first movement prevention member (221D) that can fix the first circuit board (221B). Since the first movement prevention member (221D) fixes the first circuit board (221B), movement of the light source (221A) and the first circuit board (221B) within the guide frame (210) can be prevented even when an external impact is applied. Therefore, even when an external impact or stress occurs, light emitted from the light source (221A) can accurately enter the light-receiving element (225A).

[0099] As described above, the first flow prevention unit (221D) guides the light source (221A) and the first circuit board (221B) to be installed in the correct position, and prevents flow, thereby enabling the light emitting unit (221) and the light receiving unit (225) to be accurately aligned.

[0100] In one embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting portion (221) may face the light receiving portion (225). Accordingly, light emitted from the light source (221A) of the light emitting portion (221), for example, infrared light, may be directed toward the light receiving portion (225) along the surface of the cover glass (230).

[0101] The light receiving unit (225) may include a light receiving element (225A), a second circuit board (225B), a second optical filter (225C), and a second flow prevention unit (225D).

[0102] The light receiving element (225A) is provided at a certain distance from the second optical filter (225C) and can be mounted on the second circuit board (225B). The light receiving element (225A) can detect light emitted from the light source (221A) and convert it into an electrical signal. Therefore, the light receiving element (225A) must be positioned corresponding to the path along which light travels.

[0103] The second circuit board (225B) may have a shape extending in a direction perpendicular to the display panel or cover glass (230) of the display module (100). The second circuit board (225B) provides a space in which a light-receiving element (225A) can be mounted, and may be installed in a part of the guide frame (210), for example, the other of a pair of first frames (211) and the other of a pair of second frames (215). Here, the first vertical portion (211A) of the first frame (211) and the second vertical portion (215A) of the second frame (215) may provide a space in which the second circuit board (225B) is installed. For example, another one of the first frames (211) and another one of the second frames (215) may have the same shape as the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) on which the first circuit board (221B) described above is installed.

[0104] The second circuit board (225B) can be installed in the first frame (211) and the second frame (215) in a form that is inserted into the step-shaped area of the step-shaped portion (210D) formed by the step-shaped portion. In addition, the step-shaped portion (210D) can separate the second frame (215) and the first circuit board (221B) from the second frame (215).

[0105] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, it has been described as an example that the second circuit board (225B) is installed in the other of the pair of first frames (211) and the other of the pair of second frames (215), but it is not limited thereto. For example, the second circuit board (225B) may be installed in only the other of the pair of first frames (211) or may be installed in only the other of the pair of second frames (215).

[0106] The second optical filter (225C) is arranged at the upper end of the first vertical portion (211A) and the second vertical portion (215A), and may be provided between the light emitting portion (221) and the light receiving element (225A) in the light propagation path. The second optical filter (225C) can filter light other than wavelengths corresponding to light detectable by the light receiving portion (225). For example, the second optical filter (225C) can filter light other than infrared rays. Therefore, the second optical filter (225C) can prevent the light receiving element (225A) from malfunctioning due to external natural light or visible light from an image implemented in the display module (100).

[0107] At least a portion of the second optical filter (225C) may be provided with a second reflective surface (225CR) inclined along the light propagation path. A second reflective member (not shown) capable of reflecting light may be provided on the second reflective surface (225CR). Light reflected from the second reflective surface (225CR) may proceed to the light receiving element (225A).

[0108] On a plane parallel to the cover glass (230), the second optical filter (225C) may not overlap with the cover glass (230). For example, on a plane parallel to the cover glass (230), the second optical filter (225C) may be positioned spaced apart from the cover glass (230).

[0109] The second flow prevention unit (225D) may be positioned between the second circuit board (225B) and the third extension unit (210C). In addition, the second flow prevention unit (225D) may be made of an elastic material, like the first flow prevention unit (221D).

[0110] The second flow prevention unit (225D) can guide the second circuit board (225B) on which the light receiving element (225A) is mounted so that it is installed in the correct position. For example, when the second circuit board (225B) on which the light receiving element (225A) is mounted is installed in the guide frame (210), the second flow prevention unit (225D) can guide the installation position of the second circuit board (225B) on which the light receiving element (225A) is mounted.

[0111] The second flow prevention part (225D) made of an elastic material can fix the position of the second circuit board (225B) and prevent movement of the light receiving element (225A) and the second circuit board (225B) even when an external impact occurs.

[0112] As described above, the second movement prevention unit (225D) can guide the installation position of the second circuit board (225B) and simultaneously fix the position of the second circuit board (225B). Therefore, the second movement prevention unit (225D) can ensure that the light receiving element (225A) and the second circuit board (225B) are installed in the correct position, and can prevent movement of the light receiving element (225A) and the second circuit board (225B) due to external impact.

[0113] In a typical touch sensing device, the circuit board may move within the guide frame due to external impact or stress, and when the circuit board moves, the light-receiving element mounted on the circuit board moves out of alignment with the light source. However, an optical touch sensing device (200) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a second movement prevention part (225D) that can fix a second circuit board (225B). Since the second movement prevention part (225D) fixes the second circuit board (225B), even when an external impact is applied, the movement of the light-receiving element (225A) and the second circuit board (225B) within the guide frame (210) can be prevented. Therefore, even when an external impact or stress occurs, the light emitted from the light source (221A) can be accurately incident on the light-receiving element (225A).

[0114] As described above, the second flow prevention unit (225D) guides the light receiving element (225A) and the second circuit board (225B) to be installed in the correct position, and prevents flow, thereby enabling the light emitting unit (221) and the light receiving unit (225) to be accurately aligned.

[0115] A cover glass (230) may be provided on the upper portion of the display module (100). The cover glass (230) can absorb external impact and prevent the display panel of the display module (100) from being damaged.

[0116] The cover glass (230) can provide a touch surface that detects touch coordinates by a user's hand or pen, etc. That is, the cover glass (230) can constitute a main part of the optical touch sensing device (200) together with the optical touch sensing unit (220).

[0117] An adhesive member (AD) may be provided between the cover glass (230) and the guide frame (210). The adhesive member (AD) may be made of a double-sided tape or adhesive.

[0118] A front cover (240) is provided on the side of the cover glass (230), the guide frame (210), and the optical touch detection unit (220), so as to prevent the side of the cover glass (230), the guide frame (210), and the optical touch detection unit (220) from being exposed to the outside. This front cover (240) can fix the cover glass (230), the guide frame (210), and the optical touch detection unit (220) to the display module (100).

[0119] As described above, an optical touch sensing device (200) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a guide frame (210), an optical touch sensing unit (220), a cover glass (230), and a front cover (240).

[0120] Below, with reference to FIGS. 9 to 12, an assembly process of a display device (1000) including an optical touch sensing device (200) according to one embodiment of the present invention is described.

In this case, a catch (311BB) may be provided at one end of the other of the first horizontal portion (311B) and the second horizontal portion (315B), and a groove (315BA) may be provided at the other end of the other of the first horizontal portion (311B) and the second horizontal portion (315B).

[0150] A first flange (311AC) may be provided at both ends of the first vertical portion (311A) that extends in a first direction and has a first through-hole (311AD) into which a screw can be inserted in a direction perpendicular to a plane formed by the first and second directions. A second flange (315AA) may be provided at both ends of the second vertical portion (315A) that has a second through-hole (315AB) corresponding to the first through-hole (311AD) and extends in the second direction.

[0151] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, it has been described as an example that a first flange (311AC) and a second flange (315AA) are provided at both ends of the first vertical portion (311A) and the second vertical portion (315A), but it is not limited thereto. For example, a first flange (311AC) may be provided at one end of the first vertical portion (311A), and a second flange (315AA) may be provided at the other end of the first vertical portion (311A). In addition, a first flange (311AC) may be provided at one end of the second vertical portion (315A), and a second flange (315AA) may be provided at the other end of the second vertical portion (315A).

[0152] A first frame (311) and a second frame (315) having the structure described above can be combined to complete a guide frame (310). Here, a groove (315BA) and a catch (311BB) at both ends of the first horizontal portion (311B) and the second horizontal portion (315B) can be combined. Therefore, even if external stress is applied, the twisting of the guide frame (310) can be prevented by the combined structure of the groove (315BA) and the catch (311BB).

[0153] As illustrated in Fig. 18, screws may be inserted into the first hole (311AD) and the second hole (315AB) so that the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) may be coupled. Here, a portion of the screw that has passed through the first hole (311AD) may be inserted into the second hole (315AB), so that the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) may be coupled.

[0154] As illustrated in FIG. 19, a substrate fixing member (327) may be provided on a portion where the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) are coupled, i.e., a portion where the first flange (311AC) and the second flange (315AA) are coupled. The substrate fixing member (327) is positioned in close contact with the side portions of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B), thereby preventing the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) from moving due to external impact or stress. In one embodiment of the present invention, the substrate fixing member (327) may be fixed to a portion where the first flange (311AC) and the second flange (315AA) are coupled. Additionally, the substrate fixing member (327) may be fixed to the first flange (311AC) and the second flange (315AA) via screws for coupling the first flange (311AC) and the second flange (315AA).

[0155] In one embodiment of the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 20, a first connector (321E) may be provided on a first circuit board (321B), and a second connector (325E) may be provided on a second circuit board (325B). The first connector (321E) and the second connector (325E) may be electrically connected via a wiring cable (329), such as a TCP (Tape Carrier Package). Accordingly, the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) may be electrically connected.

[0156] The optical touch sensing unit (320) includes a light emitting unit (321) and a light receiving unit (325), and can be installed in the guide frame (310). The light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) can have similar configurations. For example, the configurations of the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) can be the same except for the light source (321A) and the light receiving element (325A).

[0157] Below, each of the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) is described in more detail.

[0158] The light emitting unit (321) may include a light source (321A), a first circuit board (321B), a first optical filter (321C), and a first flow prevention frame (321D).

[0159] The light source (321A) is provided at a certain distance from the first optical filter (321C) and can be mounted on the first circuit board (321B). The light source (321A) can generate and emit light, for example, infrared rays. The light emitted from the light source (321A) can be incident on the light receiving portion (325).

[0160] The first circuit board (321B) may have a shape extending in a direction perpendicular to the display panel or cover glass (330) of the display module (100). The first circuit board (321B) may provide a space in which a light source (321A) may be mounted. The first circuit board (321B) may be installed on a part of the guide frame (310), for example, on one of a pair of first frames (311) and one of a pair of second frames (315), via a bonding member. Here, the bonding member may be a double-sided tape or an adhesive.

[0161] In one embodiment of the present invention, a first coupling protrusion (311AP) may be provided on a portion of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), and a first coupling hole (321BA) may be provided on the first circuit board (321B). The first coupling hole (321BA) is arranged to correspond to the first coupling protrusion (311AP), and the first coupling protrusion (311AP) may be inserted into the first coupling hole (321BA). Therefore, as illustrated in FIG. 21, the first coupling protrusion (311AP) of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) may be coupled with the first coupling hole (321BA) to guide the installation position of the first circuit board (321B).

[0162] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, the first coupling hole (321BA) of the first circuit board (321B) is coupled with the first coupling protrusion (311AP) of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 22, separate holes are provided in the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), the first coupling hole (321BA) of the first circuit board (321B) is arranged to correspond to the separate hole, and screws may be inserted into the first coupling hole (321BA) and the separate hole so that the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) and the first circuit board (321B) are coupled.

[0163] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first vertical portion (311A) of the first frame (311) and the second vertical portion (315A) of the second frame (315) may provide a space in which the first circuit board (321B) is installed. For example, the first vertical portion (311A) and the second vertical portion (315A) may include a first extension portion (310A) that extends in a direction perpendicular to the cover glass (330) to cover a side of the display module (100), and a second extension portion (310B) that is bent from the first extension portion (310A). Here, the first circuit board (321B) may be installed in a form in which the surface opposite to the surface on which the light source (321A) is arranged is in close contact with the first extension portion (310A). Additionally, one end of the first circuit board (321B), for example, the lower end of the first circuit board (321B), may be in contact with the second extension (310B) and supported by the second extension (310B).

[0164] In addition, as illustrated in Fig. 17, a yoke (310D) may be provided in the first extension portion (310A) of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315). The yoke (310D) as described above may separate the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) from the first circuit board (321B).

[0165] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, it has been described as an example that the first circuit board (321B) is installed in one of the pair of first frames (311) and one of the pair of second frames (315), but it is not limited thereto. For example, the first circuit board (321B) may be installed in only one of the pair of first frames (311) or in only one of the pair of second frames (315).

[0166] The first optical filter (321C) is arranged at the upper end of the first vertical portion (311A) and the second vertical portion (315A), and may be provided between the light source (321A) and the light receiving portion (325) in the light propagation path. The first optical filter (321C) may filter out light having a wavelength other than that used for touch detection among the light emitted from the light source (321A). For example, the first optical filter (321C) may transmit infrared rays among the light emitted from the light source (321A), and filter out light other than infrared rays.

[0167] The first optical filter (321C) can be installed on the upper portions of the first vertical portion (311A) and the second vertical portion (315A) through a bonding member such as double-sided tape or adhesive.

[0168] At least a portion of the first optical filter (321C) may be provided with a first reflective surface (321CR) inclined along the light propagation path. A first reflective member (not shown) capable of reflecting light may be provided on the first reflective surface (321CR). Light reflected from the first reflective surface (321CR) may travel along the surface of the cover glass (330) to the light receiving unit (325).

[0169] On a plane parallel to the cover glass (330), the first optical filter (321C) may not overlap with the cover glass (330). For example, on a plane parallel to the cover glass (330), the first optical filter (321C) may be positioned spaced apart from the cover glass (330). Accordingly, the area lost in a portion of the cover glass (330), particularly in the edge area of the cover glass (330), may be minimized.

[0170] The first flow prevention frame (321D) is arranged between the first circuit board (321B) and the front cover (340) to prevent the first circuit board (321B) from flowing. The first flow prevention frame (321D) may include a first region (321DA) extending parallel to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), a second region (321DB) extending between both ends of the first region (321DA) toward the first circuit board (321B), and a third region (321DC) extending parallel to the second region (321DB) from the lower end of the first region (321DA).

[0171] As illustrated in FIGS. 23 and 24, a first screw hole (321DAH) into which a screw can be inserted is provided in the lower portion of the first region (321DA), for example, in the region corresponding to the second extension portion (310B), and a second screw hole (311BH) corresponding to the first screw hole (321DAH) can be provided in the second extension portion (310B). When screws are coupled to the first screw hole (321DAH) and the second screw hole (311BH), the first region (321DA) and the second extension portion (310B) can be fastened.

[0172] By fastening the first region (321DA) and the second extension (310B), the second region (321DB) can apply pressure to the first circuit board (321B). By the pressure applied by the second region (321DB) of the first flow prevention frame (321D), the flow of the first circuit board (321B) can be prevented.

[0173] The upper surface of the third region (321DC) may be in contact with the lower surface of the second extension portion (310B), and at least a portion of the second extension portion (310B) may be inserted into the space formed by the first region (321DA), the second region (321DB), and the third region (321DC). Accordingly, the third region (321DC) may support the second extension portion (310B) from below.

[0174] Additionally, the extended length of the third region (321DC) may be greater than the extended length of the second region (321DB). This is because the distance between the first region (321DA) and the first extension (310A) is greater than the distance between the first region (321DA) and the first circuit board (321B).

[0175] The first flow prevention frame (321D) as described above includes a first region (321DA), a second region (321DB), and a third region (321DC), and the lower portion of the first region (321DA) is coupled to the second extension portion (310B) via a screw, and the first region (321DA) can be pressed by the front cover (340). Accordingly, the upper portion of the first region (321DA) applies pressure to the first optical filter (321C), and the first optical filter (321C) applied pressure by the first region (321DA) can apply pressure to the upper portion of the first circuit board (321B). In addition, the second region (321DB) can apply pressure to the lower portion of the first circuit board (321B). As the first region (321DA) and the second region (321DB) apply pressure to the first circuit board (321B), the flow of the first circuit board (321B) can be prevented.

[0176] As described above, the first flow prevention frame (321D) can prevent the light source (321A) and the first circuit board (321B) from flowing due to external impact by pressing the first circuit board (321B).

[0177] In a typical touch sensing device, the first circuit board (321B) may move within the guide frame (310) due to external impact or stress. If the first circuit board (321B) moves, the light emitted from the light source (321A) mounted on the first circuit board (321B) cannot accurately enter the light receiving element (325A). However, in the optical touch sensing device (300) according to one embodiment of the present invention, the first circuit board (321B) is fixed by the first movement prevention frame (321D) and movement can be prevented. Therefore, even if an external impact or stress occurs, the light emitted from the light source (321A) can accurately enter the light receiving element (325A).

[0178] In one embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting portion (321) may face the light receiving portion (325). Accordingly, light emitted from the light source (321A) of the light emitting portion (321), for example, infrared light, may be directed toward the light receiving portion (325) along the surface of the cover glass (330).

[0179] The light receiving unit (325) may include a light receiving element (325A), a second circuit board (325B), a second optical filter (325C), and a second flow prevention frame (325D).

[0180] The light receiving element (325A) is provided at a certain distance from the second optical filter (325C) and can be mounted on the second circuit board (325B). The light receiving element (325A) can detect light emitted from the light source (321A) and convert it into an electrical signal. Therefore, the light receiving element (325A) must be positioned corresponding to the path along which the light travels.

[0181] The second circuit board (325B) may have a shape extending in a direction perpendicular to the display panel or cover glass (330) of the display module (100). The second circuit board (325B) may provide a space in which a light-receiving element (325A) may be mounted.

[0182] The second circuit board (325B) can be installed to a part of the guide frame (310), for example, to the other one of the pair of first frames (311) and the other one of the pair of second frames (315), via a bonding member. Here, the bonding member can be a double-sided tape or an adhesive.

[0183] In one embodiment of the present invention, a second coupling protrusion (315AP) may be provided on a portion of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), and a second coupling hole (325BA) may be provided on the second circuit board (325B). The second coupling hole (325BA) is arranged to correspond to the second coupling protrusion (315AP) provided on a portion of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), and the second coupling protrusion (315AP) may be inserted into the second coupling hole (325BA). Therefore, as illustrated in FIG. 21, the second coupling protrusions (315AP) of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) may be coupled with the second coupling hole (325BA) to guide the installation position of the second circuit board (325B).

[0184] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, the second coupling hole (325BA) of the second circuit board (325B) is coupled with the second coupling protrusion (315AP) of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 22, separate holes are provided in the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), the second coupling hole (325BA) of the second circuit board (325B) is arranged to correspond to the separate hole, and screws may be inserted into the second coupling hole (325BA) and the separate hole so that the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) and the second circuit board (325B) are coupled.

[0185] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first vertical portion (311A) of the first frame (311) and the second vertical portion (315A) of the second frame (315) can provide a space in which the second circuit board (325B) is installed. For example, the other one of the first frames (311) and the other one of the second frames (315) can have the same shape as the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) in which the first circuit board (321B) described above is installed. Here, the second circuit board (325B) can be installed in a form in which the surface opposite to the surface on which the light-receiving element (325A) is arranged is in close contact with the first extension portion (310A). Additionally, one end of the second circuit board (325B), for example, the lower end of the second circuit board (325B), may be in contact with the second extension (310B) and supported by the second extension (310B).

[0186] The second circuit board (325B) can be installed in the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) in a form that is inserted into the step-shaped area of the step-shaped portion (310D) formed by the step-shaped portion. In addition, the step-shaped portion (310D) can separate the second frame (315) and the first circuit board (321B) from the second frame (315).

[0187] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, it has been described as an example that the second circuit board (325B) is installed in the other one of the pair of first frames (311) and the other one of the pair of second frames (315), but it is not limited thereto. For example, the second circuit board (325B) may be installed only in the other one of the pair of first frames (311) or only in the other one of the pair of second frames (315).

[0188] The second optical filter (325C) can be installed on the upper portions of the first vertical portion (311A) and the second vertical portion (315A) through a bonding member. Here, the bonding member can be a double-sided tape or an adhesive.

[0189] The second optical filter (325C) may be provided between the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving element (325A) in the light propagation path. The second optical filter (325C) may filter light other than wavelengths corresponding to light detectable by the light receiving unit (325). For example, the second optical filter (325C) may filter light other than infrared rays. Therefore, the second optical filter (325C) may prevent the light receiving element (325A) from malfunctioning due to external natural light or visible light from an image implemented in the display module (100).

[0190] At least a portion of the second optical filter (325C) may be provided with a second reflective surface (325CR) inclined along the light propagation path. A second reflective member (not shown) capable of reflecting light may be provided on the second reflective surface (325CR). Light reflected from the second reflective surface (325CR) may proceed to the light receiving element (325A).

[0191] On a plane parallel to the cover glass (330), the second optical filter (325C) may not overlap with the cover glass (330). For example, on a plane parallel to the cover glass (330), the second optical filter (325C) may be positioned spaced apart from the cover glass (330).

[0192] The second flow prevention frame (325D) is placed between the second circuit board (325B) and the front cover (340) to prevent the flow of the second circuit board (325B).

[0193] The second flow prevention frame (325D) may include a fourth region (325DA) extending parallel to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), a fifth region (325DB) extending toward the second circuit board (325B) between both ends of the fourth region (325DA), and a sixth region (325DC) extending parallel to the fifth region (325DB) from the lower end of the fourth region (325DA).

[0194] A third screw hole (325DAH) into which a screw can be inserted is provided in the lower part of the fourth region (325DA), for example, in the region corresponding to the second extension portion (310B), and a fourth screw hole (325BH) corresponding to the third screw hole (325DAH) can be provided in the second extension portion (310B). When screws are coupled to the third screw hole (325DAH) and the fourth screw hole (325BH), the fourth region (325DA) and the second extension portion (310B) can be fastened.

[0195] By fastening the fourth region (325DA) and the second extension (310B), the fifth region (325DB) can apply pressure to the second circuit board (325B). By the pressure applied by the fifth region (325DB) of the second flow prevention frame (325D), the flow of the second circuit board (325B) can be prevented.

[0196] The upper surface of the sixth region (325DC) may be in contact with the lower surface of the second extension portion (310B), and at least a portion of the second extension portion (310B) may be inserted into the space formed by the fourth region (325DA), the fifth region (325DB), and the sixth region (325DC). Accordingly, the sixth region (325DC) may support the second extension portion (310B) from below.

[0197] Additionally, the extended length of the sixth region (325DC) may be greater than the extended length of the fifth region (325DB). This is because the distance between the fourth region (325DA) and the first extension (310A) is greater than the distance between the fourth region (325DA) and the second circuit board (325B).

[0198] The second flow prevention frame (325D) as described above includes a fourth region (325DA), a fifth region (325DB), and a sixth region (325DC), and the lower portion of the fourth region (325DA) is coupled to the second extension portion (310B) via a screw, and the fourth region (325DA) can be pressed by the front cover (340). Accordingly, the upper portion of the fourth region (325DA) applies pressure to the second optical filter (325C), and the second optical filter (325C) that is pressed by the fourth region (325DA) can apply pressure to the upper portion of the second circuit board (325B). In addition, the fifth region (325DB) can apply pressure to the lower portion of the second circuit board (325B). As the fourth region (325DA) and the fifth region (325DB) apply pressure to the second circuit board (325B), the flow of the second circuit board (325B) can be prevented.

[0199] As described above, the second flow prevention frame (325D) can prevent movement of the light receiving element (325A) and the second circuit board (325B) due to external impact by pressing the second circuit board (325B).

[0200] In a typical touch sensing device, the second circuit board (325B) may move within the guide frame (310) due to external impact or stress. If the second circuit board (325B) moves, the light emitted from the light source (321A) cannot accurately enter the light receiving element (325A) mounted on the second circuit board (325B). However, in the optical touch sensing device (300) according to one embodiment of the present invention, the second circuit board (325B) is fixed by the second movement prevention frame (325D) and movement can be prevented. Therefore, even if an external impact or stress occurs, the light emitted from the light source (321A) can accurately enter the light receiving element (325A).

[0201] As described above, the optical touch sensing unit (320) includes a light emitting unit (321) and a light receiving unit (325), and the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) can be installed in the guide frame (310). Here, the configurations of the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) can be the same except for the light source (321A) and the light receiving element (325A). That is, the light emitting unit (321) and the light receiving unit (325) may include a circuit board (321B, 325B) on which a light source (321A) or a light receiving element (325A) is mounted, an optical filter (321C, 325C) disposed on the upper portion of the circuit board (321B, 325B) and disposed between the light source (321A) and the light receiving element (325A) on the light propagation path, and a movement prevention frame (321D, 325D) that prevents movement of the circuit board (321B, 325B).

[0202] In one embodiment of the present invention, the flow prevention frame (321D, 325D) includes a first flow prevention frame (321D) and a second flow prevention frame (325D), wherein the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D) may have the same structure. That is, the flow prevention frame (321D, 325D) may include a first region (321DA) extending parallel to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), a second region (321DB) extending toward the circuit board (321B, 325B) between both ends of the first region (321DA), and a third region (321DC) extending parallel to the second region (321DB) from the lower end of the first region (321DA).

[0203] Here, the lower part of the first region (321DA) can be fastened to the second extension (310B) using a screw, and at least a portion of the second extension (310B) can be inserted into the space formed by the first region (321DA), the second region (321DB), and the third region (321DC). In addition, the extended length of the third region (321DC) can be greater than the extended length of the second region (321DB).

[0204] A cover glass (330) may be provided on the upper portion of the display module (100). The cover glass (330) can absorb external impact and prevent the display panel of the display module (100) from being damaged.

[0205] The cover glass (330) can provide a touch surface that detects touch coordinates by a user's hand or pen, etc. That is, the cover glass (330) can constitute a main part of the optical touch sensing device (300) together with the optical touch sensing unit (320).

[0206] An adhesive member (AD) may be provided between the cover glass (330) and the guide frame (310). The adhesive member (AD) may be made of a double-sided tape or adhesive.

[0207] A front cover (340) is provided on the side of the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320), so as to prevent the side of the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320) from being exposed to the outside. This front cover (340) can fix the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320) to the display module (100).

[0208] As illustrated in FIG. 25, the front cover (340) may include a first cover area (340A) covering a side surface of the guide frame (310), a second cover area (340B) bent from the upper portion of the first cover area (340A) to cover the upper portions of the first optical filter (321C) and the second optical filter (325C), a flow-preventing rib (340C) protruding parallel to the first cover area (340A) from a portion of the second cover area (340B) to prevent the flow of the first flow-preventing frame (321D) and the second flow-preventing frame (325D), and a hook portion (340D) protruding parallel to the second cover area (340B) from the lower portion of the first cover area (340A) to support the lower portions of the second extension portion (310B), the first flow-preventing frame (321D), and the second flow-preventing frame (325D). That is, the first region (321DA) of the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the fourth region (325DA) of the second flow prevention frame (325D) can be provided in a form inserted between the flow prevention rib (340C) and the hook portion (340D). Therefore, the assembly of the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D) and the front cover (340) is easy, and the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D) can be fixed to the front cover (340).

[0209] Meanwhile, a cut groove may be provided in a portion of the third area (321DC) of the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the sixth area (325DC) of the second flow prevention frame (325D). A hook portion (340D) of the front cover (340) may be inserted into the cut groove.

[0210] The corner bracket (350) may be installed at the lower portion of the portion where the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) are joined, as illustrated in Fig. 26. The corner bracket (350) may include a deformation prevention portion (350A) that prevents distortion of the guide frame (310), and an extension portion (350B) that extends from the deformation prevention portion (350A) to the lower portion of the display module (100).

[0211] The deformation prevention member (350A) may be provided at the lower portion of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), and may be fastened to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) via screws. Accordingly, the corner bracket (350) fastened to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) can fix the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), thereby preventing the twisting of the guide frame (310).

[0212] The extension portion (350B) can extend to the lower portion of the display module (100) to support the lower portion of the display module (100). Here, at least a portion of the extension portion (350B) can be bent to come into contact with the lower portion of the display module (100). In this way, since the extension portion (350B) of the corner bracket (350) supports the lower portion of the display module (100), movement of the display module (100) can be prevented even when an external impact occurs.

[0213] As described above, the optical touch sensing device (300) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a guide frame (310), an optical touch sensing unit (320), a cover glass (330), a front cover (340), and a corner bracket (350). In particular, the optical touch sensing unit (320) may include a first movement prevention frame (321D) and a second movement prevention frame (325D), thereby preventing movement of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B). Accordingly, movement of the light source (321A) mounted on the first circuit board (321B) and the light receiving element (325A) mounted on the second circuit board (325B) is prevented, and accordingly, the optical touch sensing unit (320) may maintain high touch sensitivity. Additionally, since a portion of the corner bracket (350) supports the lower portion of the display module (100), the display module (100) can be firmly supported.

[0214] In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 26, the optical touch sensing device (300) according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a display module support frame (360). The display module support frame (360) may be coupled to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) through a groove formed in the first area (321DA) of the first flow-preventing frame (321D) and the fourth area (325DA) of the second flow-preventing frame (325D). Here, at least a portion of the display module support frame (360) may be in contact with the lower portion of the display module (100). That is, the display module support frame (360) may support the lower portion of the display module (100). Therefore, the display module (100) may be firmly supported by the corner bracket (350) and the display module support frame (360).

[0215] Hereinafter, an assembly process of a display device (1000) including an optical touch sensing device (300) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 16 to FIG. 26. First, a guide frame (310) is installed along the edge of the display module (100). The guide frame (310) may be installed in such a way that one end of the first frame (311) is coupled to the other end of the second frame (315). For example, as illustrated in FIG. 18, after the first flange (311AC) of the first frame (311) and the second flange (315AA) of the second frame (315) are arranged to correspond, screws may be inserted into the first through-hole (311AD) and the second through-hole (315AB), so that the first flange (311AC) and the second flange (315AA) may be coupled.

[0216] Then, a first circuit board (321B) and a second circuit board (325B) are installed on a pair of first frames (311) and a pair of second frames (315). As illustrated in Fig. 21, the first coupling hole (321BA) and the second coupling hole (325BA) of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) can be coupled with the first coupling protrusion (311AP) and the second coupling protrusion (315AP) provided on the first frame (311) and the second frame (315). Alternatively, as illustrated in FIG. 22, the first coupling aperture (321BA) and the second coupling aperture (325BA) of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) may be arranged to correspond to the separate apertures of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315), and screws may be inserted to couple the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) with the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B). Accordingly, the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) can be accurately installed at the preset positions of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315).

[0217] Here, the first circuit board (321B) has a light source (321A) mounted thereon and can be installed on one of the pair of first frames (311) and one of the pair of second frames (315). The second circuit board (325B) has a light receiving element (325A) mounted thereon and can be installed on the other of the pair of first frames (311) and one of the pair of second frames (315). That is, the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) can be arranged to face each other.

[0218] After the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) are installed, the first optical filter (321C) and the second optical filter (325C) are installed. The first optical filter (321C) is installed on the upper portions of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) on which the first circuit board (321B) is installed, and the second optical filter (325C) can be installed on the upper portions of the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) on which the second circuit board (325B) is installed. In addition, a portion of the first optical filter (321C) and the second optical filter (325C) can be attached to the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) through a bonding member such as a double-sided tape or an adhesive.

[0219] After the first optical filter (321C) and the second optical filter (325C) are installed, the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D) are installed to prevent the flow of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B). Here, screws may be inserted into the first screw hole (321DAH) of the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second screw hole (311BH) of the second extension (310B) to fasten the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second extension (310B). In addition, screws may be inserted into the third screw hole (325DAH) of the second flow prevention frame (325D) and the fourth screw hole (325BH) of the second extension (310B) to fasten the second flow prevention frame (325D) and the second extension (310B).

[0220] As described above, as the first flow-preventing frame (321D) and the second flow-preventing frame (325D) are fastened to the second extension (310B), the second region (321DB) of the first flow-preventing frame (321D) can press the first circuit board (321B), and the fifth region (325DB) of the second flow-preventing frame (325D) can press the second circuit board (325B). Accordingly, the movement of the first circuit board (321B) and the second circuit board (325B) can be prevented.

[0221] After installing the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D), an adhesive member (AD) for attaching the cover glass (330) is placed on the upper surface of the guide frame (310). Here, the adhesive member (AD) may be a double-sided tape or an adhesive.

[0222] After placing an adhesive member (AD) on the upper surface of the guide frame (310), a cover glass (330) is installed. The cover glass (330) can be fixed to the upper surface of the guide frame (310) by the adhesive member (AD).

[0223] After installing the cover glass (330), the front cover (340) is installed. The front cover (340) is provided on the side of the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320), so as to prevent the side of the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320) from being exposed to the outside. In addition, the front cover (340) can fix the cover glass (330), the guide frame (310), and the optical touch detection unit (320) to the display module (100).

[0224] In particular, a first area (321DA) of a first flow prevention frame (321D) and a fourth area (325DA) of a second flow prevention frame (325D) can be inserted between the flow prevention rib (340C) and the hook portion (340D) of the front cover (340). Accordingly, the flow of the first flow prevention frame (321D) and the second flow prevention frame (325D) can be prevented.

[0225] After installing the front cover (340), a corner bracket (350) is installed at the lower portion of the portion where the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) are joined. The corner bracket (350) is fastened to the first frame (311) and the second frame (315) via screws, and can prevent twisting of the guide frame (310). In addition, a portion of the corner bracket (350) extends to the lower portion of the display module (100) to support the display module (100), thereby preventing movement of the display module (100) due to external impact.
