[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on August 10, 2023, with application number 202311009884.2 and application name “A method and device for determining a HARQ process identifier”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0003] The embodiments of the present application relate to the field of communication technology, and in particular, to a method and apparatus for determining a HARQ process identifier. Background Art
[0004] With the continuous development of wireless communication systems, data transmission latency continues to decrease, and transmission capacity is increasing. Wireless communication systems are gradually infiltrating services that require high real-time performance and data capacity, such as video transmission, cloud gaming (CG), and extended reality (XR). XR refers to an environment that combines the real and virtual, enabling human-computer interaction, created through computer technology and wearable devices. It is a general term for various forms of reality, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
[0005] For example, in XR services, uplink service data can be transmitted between access network equipment and terminals via a configured grant (CG). A CG cycle includes one or more CG transmission opportunities. Determining the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier for a CG transmission opportunity is a research topic.
[0006] Summary of the Invention
[0007] An embodiment of the present application provides a method and apparatus for determining a HARQ process identifier to determine the HARQ process identifier of a target CG transmission opportunity.
[0008] In the first aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided, wherein the execution subject of the method is a terminal, or a module in the terminal (for example, a chip or circuit), etc. Taking the terminal as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the terminal receives first configuration information from an access network device, and the first configuration information is used to configure N time units of a configuration authorization CG cycle period, where the N time units include time units corresponding to CG transmission opportunities, and N is an integer greater than 1; the terminal determines a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier of a target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with N.
[0009] Through the above design, in the scenario where multiple CG transmission opportunities are configured in a CG cycle period, it is determined that the number of HARQ processes is equal to N. Further, the HARQ process identifier corresponding to the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period can be determined based on the number of HARQ processes N. It should be noted that in one design, in the scenario where a CG transmission opportunity is included in a CG cycle period, the access network device can configure the number of HARQ processes for the terminal, and the value of the number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device for the terminal is an integer between 1 and 16. If the above design is applied to the scenario where a CG cycle period includes multiple CG transmission opportunities, it may cause the number of HARQ processes to not match the CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period, thereby resulting in a degradation in transmission performance. For example, if 17 CG transmission opportunities are configured in a CG cycle period, then according to the above design, the maximum number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device is 16, resulting in two CG transmission opportunities sharing one HARQ process, and the transmission performance of the two CG transmission opportunities may be degraded. In the first aspect, a CG cycle period occupies N time units. According to the design that a CG transmission opportunity occupies one time unit, or a CG transmission opportunity occupies multiple time units, the number of CG transmission opportunities is less than N. Therefore, in the first aspect, setting the number of HARQ processes equal to N can ensure that a CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period occupies a HARQ process exclusively, thereby solving the problem of decreased transmission performance due to multiple CG transmission opportunities sharing a HARQ process and improving transmission performance.
[0010] In a second aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided. The method is performed by an access network device, or a module (such as a chip or circuit) in the access network device, or a logical node, logical module, or software that fully or partially implements the functions of the access network device. Taking the access network device as the performing entity as an example, the method includes: the access network device sends first configuration information to the terminal, the first configuration information is used to configure N time units of the configuration authorization CG cycle period, the N time units including the time units corresponding to the CG transmission opportunities, and N is an integer greater than 1; the access network device determines the hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with N. This second aspect is the counterpart of the first aspect, and the beneficial effects can be found in the description of the first aspect.
[0011] In one design, in the first aspect or the second aspect, the HARQ process ID satisfies: HARQ process ID = [X*floor(S / T)] mod N+M;
[0012] Where X represents the number of CG transmission opportunities, T represents the duration of the CG period, floor() represents rounding down, mod represents the modulo operation, M is an integer greater than or equal to 0, and S satisfies:
[0013] S=(SFN×numberOfSlotsPerFrame×numberOfSymbolsPerSlot+slot number in the frame×numberOfSymbolsPerSlot+symbol number in the slot);
[0014] Among them, SFN represents the system frame number of the first time unit, numberOfSlotsPerFrame represents the number of time units included in the system frame, numberOfSymbolsPerSlot represents the number of symbols included in one time unit, slot number in the frame represents the index of the first time unit in the system frame, symbol number in the slot represents the index of the starting symbol in the first time unit, and the first time unit is the first time unit among N time units.
[0015] With the above design, in the process of determining the above HARQ process identifier: the number of HARQ processes is set to N. For example, in the above formula for determining the HARQ process, a modulo operation is directly performed on N. Since one CG cycle period corresponds to N time units, in a scenario where one CG transmission opportunity occupies one or more time units, it can be ensured that one CG transmission opportunity in one CG cycle period exclusively occupies one HARQ process, thereby avoiding transmission performance degradation caused by multiple CG transmission opportunities sharing one HARQ process.
[0016] According to a third aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided, wherein the execution subject of the method is a terminal, or a module in the terminal (for example, a chip or circuit), etc. Taking the terminal as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the terminal receives second configuration information from the access network device, and the second configuration information is used to configure multiple configuration authorization CG cycle periods; the terminal determines, for one CG cycle period among multiple CG cycle periods: a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier of a target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and the first CG cycle period has the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among multiple CG cycle periods.
[0017] In the above design, by constraining the number of HARQ processes in a CG cycle period to be equal to the largest number of CG transmission opportunities K among the configured multiple CG cycle periods, it is possible to ensure that the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a configured CG cycle period is less than or equal to the number of HARQ processes K. In a CG cycle period, one CG transmission opportunity exclusively occupies one HARQ process, thereby improving transmission performance.
[0018] In the fourth aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided. The execution subject of the method is an access network device, or a module in the access network device (such as a chip or circuit, etc.), or a logical node, logical module or software that fully or partially implements the functions of the access network device. Taking the access network device as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the access network device sends a second configuration information to the terminal, and the second configuration information is used to configure multiple configuration authorization CG cycle time periods; the access network device is configured to determine a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier for a target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle time period for one of the multiple CG cycle time periods. The HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle time period, and the first CG cycle time period has the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among the multiple CG cycle time periods. The fourth aspect is the counterpart of the third aspect, and the beneficial effects can be found in the description of the third aspect.
[0019] In one design, the HARQ process identifier of the third aspect or the fourth aspect satisfies: HARQ process identifier = [X*floor(S / T)] mod K+M;
[0020] Among them, X represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period, T represents the duration of a CG cycle period, floor() represents rounding down, mod represents modulo operation, K represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and M is an integer greater than or equal to 0; for the conditions satisfied by S, please refer to the description in the second aspect.
[0021] In the fifth aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided, wherein the executing subject of the method is a terminal, or a module in the terminal (for example, a chip or circuit), etc. Taking the terminal as the executing subject as an example, the method includes: the terminal receives third configuration information from the access network device, and the third configuration information is used to configure N time units of the authorized CG cycle period and the number of hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ processes of the CG. The minimum value of the number of HARQ processes is N, and N is an integer greater than 1; the terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0022] Through the above design, in the scenario where multiple CG transmission opportunities are configured within a CG cycle period, the terminal determines the number of HARQ processes using the new parameters configured by the access network device. Further, the HARQ process identifier is determined based on the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameters. Furthermore, since in the scenario where a CG transmission opportunity occupies one or more time units, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period is less than the number of N time units corresponding to a CG cycle, that is, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period is less than N. In the fifth aspect, the access network device configures the minimum number of HARQ processes configured for the terminal by adding new parameters, which is equal to N. That is, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle is less than the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameters. Therefore, within a CG cycle, a CG transmission opportunity can occupy one HARQ process exclusively, thereby improving transmission performance.
[0023] In the sixth aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided. The execution subject of the method is an access network device, or a module in the access network device (such as a chip or circuit, etc.), or a logical node, logical module or software that fully or partially implements the functions of the access network device. Taking the access network device as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the access network device sends a third configuration information to the terminal, and the third configuration information is used to configure the N time units of the authorized CG cycle period and the number of hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ processes of the CG. The minimum number of HARQ processes is N, and N is an integer greater than 1; the access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes. The sixth aspect is the counterpart of the fifth aspect. The beneficial effects can be found in the description of the fifth aspect.
[0024] In the seventh aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided, wherein the execution subject of the method is a terminal, or a module in the terminal (for example, a chip or circuit), etc. Taking the terminal as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the terminal receives fourth configuration information from the access network device, the fourth configuration information is used to configure multiple configuration authorization CG cycle periods and the number of hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ processes of the CG, the minimum value of the number of HARQ processes is the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and the first CG cycle period is the one with the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among multiple CG cycle periods; the terminal determines, for one CG cycle period in multiple CG cycle periods: the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0025] Through the above design, the number of HARQ processes in any one of the multiple CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information is constrained to the number K of the largest number of CG transmission opportunities in the multiple CG cycle periods, and the number of CG transmission opportunities included in any one of the CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information is less than or equal to the number K of HARQ processes, thereby ensuring that the CG transmission opportunities in any one of the CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information can exclusively enjoy one HARQ process, thereby improving the transmission performance.
[0026] In the eighth aspect, a method for determining a HARQ process identifier is provided. The execution subject of the method is an access network device, or a module (such as a chip or circuit, etc.) in the access network device, or a logical node, logical module or software that fully or partially implements the functions of the access network device. Taking the access network device as the execution subject as an example, the method includes: the access network device sends fourth configuration information to the terminal, and the fourth configuration information is used to configure multiple configuration authorization CG cycle periods and the number of hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ processes of the CG. The minimum value of the number of HARQ processes is the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and the first CG cycle period is the one with the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among multiple CG cycle periods; the access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period for one of the multiple CG cycle periods, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes. The eighth aspect is the counterpart of the seventh aspect, and the beneficial effects can be found in the description of the seventh aspect.
[0027] In the first aspect to the eighth aspect, the CG configured by the access network device for the terminal may be a type 1 CG or a type 2 CG. The configuration information sent by the access network device to the terminal, such as the first configuration information, the second configuration information, the third configuration information, or the fourth configuration information, may be high-layer signaling, such as an RRC message or a MAC CE.
[0028] In the first to eighth aspects, the terminal may determine the duration T corresponding to a CG cycle period based on the configuration information sent by the access network device; for example, the configuration information sent by the access network device may include indication information of the duration T corresponding to a CG cycle period, etc. The terminal determines the N time units corresponding to a CG cycle period based on T. Based on the N time units, one or more CG transmission opportunities configured in the N time units are determined. For example, in a TDD scenario, the terminal determines one or more CG transmission opportunities in the N time units based on the TDD uplink and downlink ratio.
[0029] In aspects 1 to 8, the target CG transmission opportunity may be one or more CG transmission opportunities, and the target CG transmission opportunity is used for the terminal to send uplink service data to the access network device. For example, the target CG transmission opportunity can be used to transmit XR services.

[0053] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of this application more clear, the application will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The specific operation methods and functional descriptions in the method embodiments can also be applied to the device embodiments or system embodiments.
[0054] FIG1 is a schematic diagram illustrating a possible, non-limiting system. As shown in FIG1 , a communication system 10 includes a radio access network (RAN) 100 and a core network (CN) 200. Optionally, the Internet 300 is also included.
[0055] The RAN 100 includes at least one RAN node (e.g., 110a and 110b in FIG. 1 , collectively referred to as 110) and at least one terminal (e.g., 120a to 120j in FIG. 1 , collectively referred to as 120). The RAN 100 may also include other RAN nodes, such as wireless relay equipment and / or wireless backhaul equipment (not shown in FIG. 1).
[0056] Terminal 120 can be connected to RAN node 110 wirelessly. RAN node 110 is connected to core network 200 wirelessly or by wire. The core network device in core network 200 and RAN node 110 in RAN 100 can be different physical devices, or they can be a single physical device that integrates the logical functions of the core network device and the logical functions of the radio access network.
[0057] RAN 100 may be a cellular system related to the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), such as a fourth generation (4G) mobile communication system, a fifth generation (5G) mobile communication system, or a future-oriented evolution system, such as a sixth generation (6G) mobile communication system. RAN 100 may also be an open access network (O-RAN or ORAN), a cloud radio access network (CRAN), or a wireless fidelity (WiFi) system. RAN 100 may also be a communication system that integrates two or more of the above systems.
[0058] The RAN node 110, sometimes also referred to as access network equipment, RAN entity, or access node, constitutes part of the communication system and facilitates wireless access for terminals. In the subsequent description of this application, unless otherwise specified, the term "access network equipment" is used. Multiple RAN nodes 110 in the communication system 10 can be of the same type or different types. In some scenarios, the roles of the RAN node 110 and the terminal 120 are relative. For example, network element 120i in Figure 1 can be a helicopter or drone, which can be configured as a mobile base station. For terminals 120j accessing the RAN 100 via network element 120i, network element 120i is a base station; however, for base station 110a, network element 120i is a terminal. RAN nodes 110 and terminals 120 are sometimes referred to as communication devices. For example, network elements 110a and 110b in Figure 1 can be understood as communication devices with base station functionality, and network elements 120a-120j can be understood as communication devices with terminal functionality.
[0059] In one possible scenario, a RAN node may be a base station, an evolved NodeB (eNodeB), an access point (AP), a transmission reception point (TRP), a next generation NodeB (gNB), a next generation base station in a 6G mobile communication system, a base station in a future mobile communication system, or an access node in a WiFi system. A RAN node may be a macro base station (such as 110a in FIG1 ), a micro base station or an indoor station (such as 110b in FIG1 ), a relay node or a donor node, or a wireless controller in a CRAN scenario. Optionally, a RAN node may also be a server, a wearable device, a vehicle or an onboard device. For example, an access network device in vehicle to everything (V2X) technology may be a road side unit (RSU). All or part of the functions of the RAN node in the embodiments of the present application may also be implemented by software functions running on hardware, or by virtualized functions instantiated on a platform (such as a cloud platform). The RAN node in the embodiments of the present application may also be a logical node, a logical module, or software that can implement all or part of the functions of the RAN node.
[0060] In another possible scenario, multiple RAN nodes collaborate to assist the terminal in achieving wireless access, and different RAN nodes respectively implement part of the functions of the base station. For example, the RAN node can be a centralized unit (CU), a distributed unit (DU), a CU-control plane (CP), a CU-user plane (UP), or a radio unit (RU). The CU and DU can be set separately, or they can be included in the same network element, such as a baseband unit (BBU). The RU can be included in a radio frequency device or radio frequency unit, such as a remote radio unit (RRU), an active antenna unit (AAU), or a remote radio head (RRH).
[0061] In different systems, CU (or CU-CP and CU-UP), DU or RU may also have different names, but those skilled in the art can understand their meanings. For example, in the ORAN system, CU may also be called O-CU (Open CU), DU may also be called O-DU, CU-CP may also be called O-CU-CP, CU-UP may also be called O-CU-UP, and RU may also be called O-RU. For the convenience of description, this application uses CU, CU-CP, CU-UP, DU and RU as examples for description. Any unit of CU (or CU-CP, CU-UP), DU and RU in this application can be implemented by a software module, a hardware module, or a combination of a software module and a hardware module.
[0062] A terminal may also be referred to as a terminal device, user equipment (UE), mobile station, mobile terminal, etc. The terminal can be widely used in various scenarios, such as device-to-device (D2D), vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, machine-type communication (MTC), Internet of Things (IOT), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), industrial control, autonomous driving, telemedicine, smart grid, smart furniture, smart office, smart wearable, smart transportation, smart city, etc. The terminal can be a mobile phone, a head-mounted display device, a tablet computer, a computer with wireless transceiver function, a wearable device, a vehicle, a drone, a helicopter, an airplane, a ship, a robot, a robotic arm, a smart home device, etc. The embodiments of the present application do not limit the device form of the terminal.
[0063] In an embodiment of the present application, the access network device can configure the terminal to transmit uplink data in a configured grant (CG) manner. CG means that the uplink transmission of the terminal does not require scheduling by the access network device, and the terminal performs uplink transmission according to the configuration information. In one design, a CG transmission opportunity can be configured in a CG cycle, and a CG transmission opportunity corresponds to a HARQ process. The access network device can configure the number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes through an RRC message. For example, the value range of the number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device for the terminal is an integer between 1 and 16. In extended reality (XR), a scenario of configuring multiple CG transmission opportunities in a CG cycle is introduced. In this scenario, how to determine the number of HARQ processes and further determine the HARQ process identifier corresponding to the CG transmission opportunity is a problem to be solved. The embodiment of the present application provides the following interactive schematic diagrams of the four communication methods. The four communication methods can all determine the HARQ process identifier corresponding to the CG transmission opportunity. Please refer to the following description for details.
[0064] The following is an explanation of some nouns or terms used in the application examples, which are also considered part of the application examples.
[0065] 1. CG
[0066] CG means that the uplink transmission of the terminal does not require scheduling by the access network device, and the terminal performs uplink transmission according to the configuration information. CG can also be called grant free (GF) or scheduling-free. There are two types of CG, namely type 1 CG and type 2 CG. The difference between the two is that all parameters in type 1 CG are pre-configured by the access network device. Therefore, when the terminal uses type 1 CG to send uplink service data, it can directly use the parameters pre-configured by the access network device without additional scheduling information. When the terminal uses type 2 CG to send uplink service data, it needs to receive an additional trigger information before it can perform uplink data transmission.
[0067] For type 1 and type 2 CGs, one or more of the following information can be pre-configured through high-level parameters: frequency hopping mode, demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration, modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table selection, frequency domain resource allocation mode selection, physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource block group (RBG) size configuration selection, power control loop selection, open-loop power control parameters (including target signal-to-noise ratio and path loss compensation factor, etc.), number of HARQ processes, number of retransmissions, redundant version sequence, or period, etc.
[0068] Furthermore, for type 1 CG, the above configuration information may include, in addition to one or more of the above information, time-frequency resource allocation, time domain offset, antenna port, precoding, number of layers, sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indication, modulation order, target code rate, transport block size, frequency hopping offset, path loss reference index, bias value (Beta-offset) indication, etc.
[0069] For type 2 CG, the resource allocation serves the configuration of the above-mentioned high-level parameters. In addition, the terminal needs to receive the trigger information before it can perform uplink transmission of the CG.
[0070] 2. Time Unit
[0071] A time unit is a time domain unit used to transmit information. In the embodiments of the present application, there is no limitation on the unit or granularity of the time unit. For example, the unit or granularity of the time unit can be: a radio frame, a subframe, a slot, a mini-slot, or a time domain symbol.
[0072] In one design, a radio frame may include one or more subframes, a subframe may include one or more subframes, a subframe may include one or more time slots, a time slot may include one or more mini-slots, a time slot or mini-slot may include one or more time domain symbols, etc. The time domain symbol may be simply referred to as a symbol. The time domain symbol may be an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, or an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol based on discrete Fourier transform spread (DFT-s-OFDM), etc. A mini-slot, also known as a mini-slot, may be a unit smaller than a time slot. For example, a time slot may include 14 or 12 time domain symbols, and a mini-slot may include 2, 4, or 7 time domain symbols.
[0073] Different time slot lengths can be used for different sub-carrier spacings (SCS). For example, when the sub-carrier spacing is 15 kHz, one time slot is 1 millisecond (ms); when the sub-carrier spacing is 30 kHz, one time slot is 0.5 ms.
[0074] Taking a 15kHz subcarrier spacing as an example, a radio frame can last 10ms, a radio frame includes 10 subframes, a subframe lasts 1ms, a subframe includes one time slot, a time slot lasts 1ms, and a time slot includes 14 time domain symbols. Furthermore, a mini-slot can include 4, 2, or 7 time domain symbols.
[0075] FIG2 is an interactive diagram of a communication method provided by an embodiment of the present application. In the communication method, the number of HARQ processes is associated with N time units of a CG cycle. For example, the number of HARQ processes may be equal to N. The communication method shown in FIG2 at least includes:
[0076] Step 210: The access network device sends first configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal receives the first configuration information from the access network device. The first configuration information is used to configure N time units of the CG cycle period, and the N time units include time units corresponding to CG transmission opportunities. N is an integer greater than 1.
[0077] Step 220: The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with N.
[0078] Step 230: The access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with N.
[0079] In one design, the CG configured by the first configuration information in step 210 may be a type 1 CG, or a type 2 CG, etc. For the information included in the first configuration information, please refer to the explanation of [CG] in the previous text. Optionally, the first configuration information may be a high-level configuration signaling, such as a radio resource control (RRC) message, or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), etc. The CG transmission opportunity is also called CG PUSCH, and the CG transmission opportunity is an uplink resource used to transmit uplink service data. The CG cycle period refers to the time period corresponding to a CG cycle. A CG cycle period includes one or more CG transmission opportunities, etc.
[0080] In one design, the first configuration information in step 210 includes information indicating a CG cycle period T. For example, the CG cycle period T is equal to 16.67 ms. The terminal determines a duration T of a CG cycle period based on the first configuration information. The terminal determines N time units corresponding to a CG cycle period. The unit or granularity of the time unit can be a radio frame, a subframe, a time slot, a mini-time slot, or a time domain symbol, etc., without limitation.
[0081] Take the time slot as an example where the unit or granularity of the time unit is a time slot. For example, the duration of the CG cycle period configured by the first configuration information is equal to 16.67ms. At a subcarrier spacing of 15kHz, one time slot is 1ms. Then, within a CG cycle period, CG transmission opportunities can be configured within 17 consecutive time slots. That is, the value of N is equal to 17. That is to say, in an embodiment of the present application, the duration of the CG cycle period may not be equal to the duration corresponding to N consecutive time units.
[0082] The value of N may be specified by the protocol, or configured by the access network device to the terminal. For example, the first configuration information may also include information indicating the value of N. Alternatively, the terminal or access network device may determine the value of N based on a first rule. For example, the first rule satisfies: Indicates rounding up 。 The first rule may be specified by a protocol, or determined by an access network device and configured for the terminal, etc.
[0083] In one implementation, in a time division duplex (TDD) scenario, the terminal performs uplink and downlink transmission in a time-division manner. The terminal can determine the CG transmission timing included in N time units based on the uplink and downlink ratio of TDD. The uplink and downlink ratio of TDD can be specified by the protocol, or configured to the terminal by the access network device, etc., without limitation. For example, the access network device can send TDD configuration information to the terminal, and the TDD configuration information includes the uplink and downlink ratio of TDD, etc. The TDD configuration information and the first configuration information mentioned above can be two independent information.
[0084] In the embodiment of the present application, the correspondence between CG transmission opportunities and time units is not limited. For example, one CG transmission opportunity may occupy one time unit, or one CG transmission opportunity may occupy multiple time units, or multiple CG transmission opportunities may occupy one time unit, etc.
[0085] As shown in Figure 3, taking the time unit as a time slot and one CG transmission opportunity occupying one time slot as an example, the uplink and downlink ratio of TDD is 1:4. Then in CG cycle period 1, the first two time slots (time slot 0 and time slot 1) are pre-agreed as downlink time slots, which are used for the terminal to maintain synchronization with the access network equipment, and time slot 2 is the uplink time slot. Afterwards, the terminal configures an uplink time slot every four downlink time slots according to the uplink and downlink ratio of TDD, and one CG transmission opportunity occupies one uplink time slot. It can be seen that the 17 time slots corresponding to GG cycle period 1 include three CG transmission opportunities. The 17 time slots corresponding to CG cycle period 2 include four CG transmission opportunities. In Figure 3, the downlink time slot is referred to as downlink (downlink, D) and the uplink time slot is referred to as uplink (uplink, U).
[0086] It can be understood that in the TDD scenario, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in different CG cycle periods can be the same or different without limitation.
[0087] In another implementation, in a frequency division duplex (FDD) scenario, the terminal performs uplink and downlink transmissions using frequency division. Each of the N time units corresponding to a CG cycle period can be used as a CG transmission opportunity. For example, if a CG cycle period corresponds to 17 time slots and a CG transmission opportunity occupies one time slot, then a CG cycle period includes 17 CG transmission opportunities.
[0088] The implementation process of the terminal determining the HARQ process identifier in step 220 is similar to the implementation process of the access network device determining the HARQ process identifier in step 230. In the following description, the process of the terminal determining the HARQ process identifier is taken as an example.
[0089] In one design, the terminal may determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity based on N. The target CG transmission opportunity is the CG transmission opportunity for the terminal to transmit uplink service data with the access network device. Alternatively, in one description, the terminal may set the number of HARQ processes to be equal to N, and the terminal may determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG transmission opportunity based on the number of HARQ processes N. For example, the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity satisfies: HARQ process identifier = [X*floor(S / T)] mod N+M; Formula (1)
[0090] Wherein, X represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period, T represents the duration of the CG cycle period, floor() represents rounding down, mod represents modulo operation, and M is an integer greater than or equal to 0.
[0091] The value of M is explained as follows: If the target CG transmission opportunity occupies the first time unit in N time units, the value of M is equal to 0, otherwise the value of M is greater than 0. When the value of M is greater than 0, the specific value of M is related to the position of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period. Or,
[0092] In another description, the value of M is set to 0, and the terminal can use the above formula (1) to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle period. The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of a CG transmission opportunity in the CG cycle period based on the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit, where the CG transmission opportunities included in the CG cycle period include the target CG transmission opportunity mentioned above.
[0093] For example, as shown in Figure 3, CG cycle period 1 includes 3 CG transmission opportunities. Setting the value of M to 0, the terminal can use formula (1) above to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time slot in CG cycle period 1 (i.e., time slot 0, which is a downlink time slot, represented by D). In CG cycle period 1, there are 3 CG transmission opportunities, so the value of X is equal to 3. In CG cycle period 1, the value of N is equal to 17. By setting M to 0, N to 17, and X to 3, the following formula (2) can be obtained in formula (1) above: HARQ process identifier = [3*floor(S / T)] mod 17; Formula (2)
[0094] If the HARQ process ID corresponding to the first time slot in CG cycle period 1, i.e., time slot 0, is determined using formula (2), it is equal to 0. Therefore, the HARQ process IDs of the three CG transmission opportunities included in CG cycle period 1 can be incremented by 1 based on the value 0, and the HARQ process IDs of the three CG transmission opportunities are 1, 2, and 3, respectively. In Figure 3, the HARQ process ID is abbreviated as HARQ process ID (HPID).
[0095] Continuing with FIG3 , CG cycle period 2 includes four CG transmission opportunities. Similarly, M is set to 0. The terminal can use formula (1) above to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time slot in CG cycle period 2 (i.e., time slot 17, which is an uplink time slot, denoted as U). CG cycle period 2 includes four CG transmission opportunities, so the value of X is equal to 4. In CG cycle period 2, the value of N is equal to 17. Substituting M equal to 0, N equal to 17, and X equal to 4 into formula (1) above, the following formula (3) can be obtained: HARQ process identifier = [4*floor(S / T)] mod 17; Formula (3)
[0096] If the above formula (3) is used, the HARQ process identifier of the first time slot in CG cycle period 2, that is, time slot 17, is equal to 0. Since the first CG transmission opportunity in CG cycle period 2 occupies time slot 17, the HARQ process identifier of the first CG transmission opportunity in CG cycle period 2 is equal to 0, and the HARQ process identifiers of the remaining three CG transmission opportunities in CG cycle period 2 are 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
[0097] Optionally, in the above formulas (1) to (3), S can be called the current symbol (current_symbol), and S satisfies:
[0098] S=(SFN×numberOfSlotsPerFrame×numberOfSymbolsPerSlot+slot number in the frame×numberOfSymbolsPerSlot+symbol number in the slot); Formula (4)
[0099] Where SFN represents the system frame number of the first time unit, numberOfSlotsPerFrame represents the number of time units in the system frame, numberOfSymbolsPerSlot represents the number of symbols in a time unit, slot number in the frame represents the index of the first time unit in the system frame, symbol number in the slot represents the index of the starting symbol in the first time unit, and the first time unit is the first time unit among N time units. It can be understood that in formula (4), the granularity or unit of the time unit is the time slot.
[0100] In an embodiment of the present application, a CG cycle period may specifically include one or more CG transmission opportunities. The terminal may transmit uplink service data in all or part of the CG transmission opportunities in a CG cycle period. In an embodiment of the present application, the CG transmission opportunity for transmitting uplink service data may be referred to as a target CG transmission opportunity, that is, the target CG transmission opportunity may be one or more CG transmission opportunities.
[0101] In the embodiment of the present application, there is no restriction on the uplink business data transmitted in the CG transmission opportunity. In one implementation, the CG transmission opportunity can be used to transmit XR business data. XR business includes VR and AR business. Cloud virtual reality (cloud VR) and cloud augmented reality (cloud AR) introduce the concepts and technologies of cloud computing and cloud rendering into business applications such as VR or AR. With the help of high-speed and stable wireless networks, the display output and sound output of the cloud are encoded and compressed and transmitted to the terminal. Since the XR business has the characteristics of relatively large data packets and periodic business data, multiple CG transmission opportunities can be configured in a CG cycle period. The terminal can use the configured multiple CG transmission opportunities to send XR business data to the access network device in a CG cycle period. Furthermore, the access network device can send the XR business data received from the terminal to the cloud or remote edge of the XR business. The cloud or edge includes the server of the XR business. In downlink transmission, the cloud or edge of the XR business can send downlink XR business data to the access network device, and the access network device sends the downlink XR business data to the corresponding terminal. In the embodiments of the present application, the focus is on the uplink data transmission of the terminal, and no further explanation is given for the downlink data transmission. In one design, since the transmission period of the XR service is 16.67 ms, the duration of a CG cycle period can be set to 16.67 ms.
[0102] In an embodiment of the present application, the terminal and the access network device may adopt the HARQ mechanism to transmit uplink services. In one implementation, the access network device may configure the terminal to adopt the CG method to transmit uplink service data. It can be seen from the foregoing description that the access network device can configure the duration T of a CG cycle period through the first configuration information, and the N time units of a CG cycle period include one or more time units corresponding to CG transmission opportunities. One CG transmission opportunity corresponds to one HARQ process. In an embodiment of the present application, the terminal and / or the access network device may adopt the method of the process of Figure 2 to determine the HARQ process identifier corresponding to a CG transmission opportunity. Optionally, for the terminal and / or the access network device side, a HARQ process may have an independent buffer.
[0103] It can be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, the number of HARQ processes and the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period can be the same, or different, etc., without limitation. For example, in a scenario where a CG transmission opportunity occupies one time unit, in TDD, the number of HARQ processes N is less than the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period. For example, the number of HARQ processes N is equal to 17, and the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period is 3 or 4, etc. In FDD, the number of HARQ processes is the same as the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle. For example, the number of HARQ processes and the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period are both equal to 17.
[0104] In one design, the terminal uses the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period to send uplink service data to the access network device. For the terminal side, the uplink service data can be stored in the buffer of the HARQ process corresponding to the target CG transmission opportunity. When receiving the uplink service data, the access network device can determine whether the transmission of the uplink service data is correct; if the uplink service data is correctly transmitted, the access network device sends a positive acknowledgment (ACK) HARQ feedback to the terminal. If the uplink service data is transmitted incorrectly, the access network device can store the uplink service data of the transmission error in the buffer corresponding to the HARQ process of the target CG transmission opportunity, and send a negative acknowledgment (NACK) HARQ feedback to the terminal. Optionally, the HARQ feedback sent by the access network device to the terminal may also include the HARQ process identifier of the uplink service data.
[0105] On the terminal side, if an ACK HARQ feedback is received, the terminal deletes the uplink service data stored in the corresponding buffer according to the HARQ process identifier in the HARQ feedback. If a NACK HARQ feedback is received, the redundant version of the uplink service data stored in the buffer is updated, and the uplink service data with the updated redundant version (which may be called retransmitted uplink service data) is sent to the access network device. The uplink service data may carry the corresponding HARQ process identifier. The access network device may obtain the initially transmitted uplink service data in the buffer and soft-merge the initially transmitted uplink service data and the retransmitted uplink service data.
[0106] In one implementation, the terminal may use the CG mode for initial transmission of uplink service data. There is no restriction on the transmission mode of the terminal side for retransmission of uplink service data.
[0107] In an embodiment of the present application, an application scenario is provided for the terminal side: the terminal can receive first configuration information from an access network device, and the first configuration information includes the number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device, and the value range of the number of HARQ processes is an integer between 1 and 16. For example, the first configuration information includes a HARQ process number (nrofHARQ-Processes) information element, which is used to configure the number of HARQ processes, etc. When at least one CG cycle period configured by the first configuration information includes multiple CG transmission opportunities, the terminal ignores the number of HARQ processes configured by the first configuration information, sets the number of HARQ processes to be equal to N, and uses the method in the previous article to determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period based on N.
[0108] An application scenario is provided for the access network device side: the access network device sends first configuration information to the terminal, and the first configuration information includes the number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device. When the access network device finds that at least one CG cycle period configured by the first configuration information includes multiple CG transmission opportunities, the access network device ignores the number of HARQ processes configured by the first configuration information, sets the number of HARQ processes to be equal to N, and uses the method described above to determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period based on N.
[0109] Through the above design, in the scenario where multiple CG transmission opportunities are configured in a CG cycle period, it is determined that the number of HARQ processes is equal to N. In the communication method of Figure 2, one CG cycle period occupies N time units. According to the design that one CG transmission opportunity occupies one time unit, or one CG transmission opportunity occupies multiple time units, the number of CG transmission opportunities is less than N. Therefore, in the communication method of Figure 2, the number of HARQ processes is equal to N. This can ensure that one CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period exclusively occupies one HARQ process, thereby solving the problem of decreased transmission performance due to multiple CG transmission opportunities sharing one HARQ process and improving the transmission performance.
[0110] As shown in FIG4 , an interactive schematic diagram of a communication method is provided. In this communication method, the number of HARQ processes is associated with the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG transmission opportunity in multiple CG cycles configured by the access network device. The first CG transmission opportunity is the one that includes the largest number of HARQ processes in the multiple CG cycle periods configured by the access network device. For example, the number of HARQ processes is equal to the number K of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG transmission opportunity, where K is an integer greater than 1. The communication method shown in FIG4 includes at least:
[0111] Step 410: The access network device sends second configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal receives the second configuration information from the access network device, where the second configuration information is used to configure multiple CG cycle time periods.
[0112] In one design, the CG configured by the second configuration information may be a CG of type 1, or a CG of type 2, etc., without limitation. The second configuration information includes at least the duration T of the CG cycle period, etc. The terminal may determine multiple CG cycle periods based on the duration T of the CG cycle period configured by the second configuration information, etc. A CG cycle period includes one or more CG transmission opportunities. Optionally, in a TDD scenario or an FDD scenario, the terminal determines that a CG cycle period includes a CG transmission opportunity based on the duration T of the CG cycle period configured by the second configuration information, as described in the communication method of Figure 2. In one implementation, the second configuration information may be high-level configuration signaling, such as an RRC message, or a MAC CE, etc. Optionally, in addition to the duration T of the CG cycle period, the second configuration information may also include at least one of the information in the above introduction to [CG].
[0113] For one CG period among multiple CG periods:
[0114] Step 420: The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and the first CG cycle period has the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among multiple CG cycle periods.
[0115] Step 430: The access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period.
[0116] The manner in which the terminal and the access network device determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission timing is similar. In an embodiment of the present application, the manner in which the terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission timing is used as an example for illustration.
[0117] In the communication method of Figure 4, the target CG transmission opportunity is the CG transmission opportunity for uplink service data transmission between the access network device and the terminal. The target CG transmission opportunity can be one or more CG transmission opportunities, etc., without limitation. For example, for a CG cycle period, the terminal can use all or part of the CG transmission opportunities configured in the CG cycle period for uplink service transmission. The target CG transmission opportunity can be the CG transmission opportunity for uplink service transmission between the terminal and the access network device in a CG cycle period.
[0118] In one design, the terminal may determine multiple CG cycle periods configured by the second configuration information. The terminal determines the CG cycle period that includes the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among the multiple CG cycle periods. The terminal refers to the CG cycle period that includes the largest number of CG transmission opportunities as the first CG cycle period. It can be understood that, among the multiple CG cycle periods, there may be multiple CG cycle periods that include the largest number of CG cycle periods at the same time. At this time, any one of the multiple CG cycle periods may be referred to as the first CG cycle period. The terminal may determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity based on the number K of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period. Alternatively, in another description, the terminal may make the number of HARQ processes equal to the number K of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and the terminal may determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity based on the number K of HARQ processes, and the like.
[0119] It will be appreciated that in the embodiments of the present application, the concept of a "first CG cycle period" is introduced for ease of description. During actual operation of the terminal, the terminal may obtain the number of CG transmission opportunities included in one CG cycle period from among the multiple CG cycle periods configured by the second configuration information. The HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity is determined based on the largest number of CG transmission opportunities, K, among the multiple CG cycle periods. Alternatively, the following can be described as follows: assuming the number of HARQ processes is equal to K, the terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity based on the number of HARQ processes, K.
[0120] In one design, the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period satisfies: HARQ process identifier = [X*floor(S / T)] mod K+M; Formula (5)
[0121] Wherein, X represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period, T represents the duration of a CG cycle period, floor() represents rounding down, mod represents modulo operation, K represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period, and M is an integer greater than or equal to 0; for the conditions satisfied by S, please refer to the description of formula (4) in the communication method of Figure 2.
[0122] It can be understood that if the target CG transmission opportunity occupies the first time unit in a CG cycle period, the value of M is equal to 0, otherwise the value of M is greater than 0. At this time, the specific value of M is related to the position of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period. Or, in another description,
[0123] In formula (5), the value of M is set to 0. Then, using formula (5) above, the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle period can be determined. The terminal can determine the HARQ process identifiers of the CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period based on the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle period.
[0124] For example, as shown in Figure 5, the access network device configures two CG cycle periods for the terminal through the second configuration information. In TDD mode, CG cycle period 1 includes three CG transmission opportunities, and CG cycle period 2 includes four CG transmission opportunities, with one CG transmission opportunity occupying one time slot. The maximum number of CG transmission opportunities included in the two CG cycle periods is four, that is, the value of K is 4.
[0125] In CG cycle period 1, the terminal can use the above formula (5) to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in CG cycle period 1 (that is, time slot 0, which is a downlink time slot and is represented by D in Figure 5). CG cycle period 1 includes 3 CG transmission opportunities, so the value of X is equal to 3. The maximum number of CG transmission opportunities in the two CG cycle periods configured by the second configuration information is equal to 4, that is, the value of K is 4. Substituting M equal to 0, X equal to 3, and K equal to 4 into the above formula (5), it can be obtained: HARQ process identifier = [3*floor(S / T)] mod 4; Formula (6)
[0126] Using formula (6), the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit (i.e., time slot 0) in CG cycle period 1 can be determined. If the HARQ process identifier of time slot 0 in CG cycle period 1 is equal to 0, then the identifiers of the three CG transmission opportunities included in CG cycle period 1 are 1, 2, and 3, respectively. In Figure 5, the HARQ process identifier is abbreviated as HPID. It can be understood that the target CG transmission opportunity in the process of Figure 4 can be any one, any two, or all of the three CG transmission opportunities in CG cycle period 1.
[0127] Similarly, in CG cycle period 2, the terminal can use the above formula (5) to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in CG cycle period 2 (i.e., time slot 17, which is the uplink time slot and is represented by U in Figure 5). CG cycle period 2 includes 4 CG transmission opportunities, so the value of X is equal to 4, and the value of K is also equal to 4. Substituting M equal to 0, X equal to 3, and K equal to 4 into the above formula (5), we can obtain: HARQ process identifier = [4*floor(S / T)] mod 4; Formula (7)
[0128] Using formula (7), the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit (i.e., time slot 17) in CG cycle period 2 can be determined. If the HARQ process identifier of time slot 17 in CG cycle period 2 is 0, since the first CG transmission opportunity in CG cycle period 2 occupies time slot 17, the HARQ process identifier of the first CG transmission opportunity in CG cycle period 2 is 0. The HARQ process identifiers of the remaining three CG transmission opportunities in CG cycle period 2 are 1, 2, and 3, respectively.
[0129] It can be understood that a CG cycle period corresponds to N consecutive time units, and within a CG cycle period, CG transmission opportunities are configured in N consecutive time units. The duration of a CG cycle period is not completely equal to the duration of N consecutive time units. Generally speaking, the duration of N consecutive time units is greater than or equal to the duration of a CG cycle period. In the embodiment of the present application, for the convenience of description, the description of "the CG cycle period includes one or more CG transmission opportunities" is adopted. If there is no special explanation, the description can be replaced with "one or more CG transmission opportunities configured in the N time units corresponding to the CG cycle period" or can be simply described as "one or more CG transmission opportunities corresponding to the CG cycle period" and the like.
[0130] In the communication method of FIG4 , the terminal sends uplink service data to the access network device at the target CG transmission opportunity. There is no restriction on the type of uplink service data. In one design, the uplink service data may be XR service data.
[0131] In one design, the second configuration information sent by the access network device to the terminal includes the number of HARQ processes. In the communication method of FIG4 , if the terminal or the access network device finds that the number of CG transmission opportunities included in any one of the multiple CG cycle periods configured by the second configuration information is greater than one, the terminal or the access network device ignores the number of HARQ processes configured by the second configuration information, sets the number of HARQ processes to K, and uses the communication method of FIG4 , based on K, to determine the HARQ process identifiers of the CG transmission opportunities included in any one of the multiple CG cycle periods.
[0132] In the communication method of Figure 4, by constraining the number of HARQ processes in a CG cycle period to be equal to the largest number of CG transmission opportunities K among the configured multiple CG cycle periods, it is possible to ensure that the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a configured CG cycle period is less than or equal to the number of HARQ processes K. In a CG cycle period, one CG transmission opportunity exclusively occupies one HARQ process, thereby improving transmission performance.
[0133] As shown in FIG6 , an interactive schematic diagram of a communication method is provided. In this communication method, an access network device can configure the number of HARQ processes for a terminal. The minimum number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device for the terminal is equal to N. The communication method shown in FIG6 includes at least:
[0134] Step 610: The access network device sends third configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal receives the third configuration information from the access network device. The third configuration information is used to configure N time units of the CG cycle period and the number of HARQ processes of the CG. The minimum value of the number of HARQ processes is N, and N is an integer greater than 1.
[0135] In one design, the type of CG configured by the access network device for the terminal can be type 1 CG, type 2 CG, etc., without limitation. The third configuration information can be high-layer signaling, which can configure the terminal to use CG for uplink data transmission. The third configuration information can be an RRC message, a MAC CE, etc.
[0136] In one design, a new parameter may be added to the third configuration information, and the new parameter includes the number of HARQ processes of the CG, and the minimum value of the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameter is N. Optionally, the new parameter may be the number of HARQ processes - version 18 (nrofHARQ-processes-r18). Furthermore, the third configuration information may also include a parameter for the original configuration of the number of HARQ processes, which may be the number of HARQ processes (nrofHARQ-processes), and the value range of the number of HARQ processes configured by the original parameter is an integer between 1 and 16. In an embodiment of the present application, when the terminal and / or access network device discovers that a CG cycle period includes multiple CG transmission opportunities, the number of HARQ processes configured by the original parameter may be ignored, and the terminal and / or access network device uses the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameter to determine the HARQ process identifier.
[0137] Step 620: The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0138] Step 630: The access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0139] The process of the terminal and the access network device determining the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity is similar. Take the terminal determining the HARQ process identifier as an example: wherein the target CG transmission opportunity is one or more CG transmission opportunities in a CG cycle period. The terminal can use the target CG transmission opportunity to send uplink service data to the access network device. In one design, the terminal can determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle based on the number of HARQ processes whose minimum value is equal to N. The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity based on the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit. In one design, the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle period satisfies: HARQ process identifier = [X*floor(S / T)] mod Y; Formula (8)
[0140] Wherein, X represents the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period, T represents the duration of the CG cycle period, floor() represents rounding down, mod represents modulo operation, and Y represents the number of HARQ processes, where Y is an integer greater than or equal to N.
[0141] For example, if the target CG transmission opportunity is a CG transmission opportunity, if the target CG transmission opportunity occupies the first time unit in a CG cycle, the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity is the same as the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit. Otherwise, based on the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit, 1 is added sequentially to determine the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity.
[0142] The terminal can use the target CG transmission opportunity to send uplink service data to the access network device, without limiting the type of uplink service data. For example, the uplink service data can be XR service data.
[0143] Through the above design, in the scenario where multiple CG transmission opportunities are configured within a CG cycle period, the terminal determines the number of HARQ processes using the new parameters configured by the access network device. Further, the HARQ process identifier is determined based on the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameters. Furthermore, since in the scenario where a CG transmission opportunity occupies one or more time units, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period is less than the number of N time units corresponding to a CG cycle, that is, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle period is less than N, and in an embodiment of the present application, the access network device configures the minimum number of HARQ processes for the terminal by adding new parameters, that is, the number of CG transmission opportunities included in a CG cycle is less than the number of HARQ processes configured by the new parameters, so that within a CG cycle, a CG transmission opportunity can occupy one HARQ process exclusively, thereby improving transmission performance.
[0144] As shown in FIG7 , an interactive schematic diagram of a communication method is provided. The difference between the communication method shown in FIG7 and the communication method shown in FIG6 is that the minimum number of HARQ processes configured by the access network device for the terminal is equal to K. The communication method shown in FIG7 includes at least:
[0145] Step 710: The access network device sends fourth configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal receives the fourth configuration information from the access network device. The fourth configuration information is used to configure multiple CG cycle periods and the number of HARQ processes of the CG. The minimum value of the number of HARQ processes is the number K of CG transmission opportunities included in the first CG cycle period. The first CG cycle period has the largest number of CG transmission opportunities among multiple CG cycle periods, and K is an integer greater than or equal to 1.
[0146] In one design, the fourth configuration information can configure a type 1 CG, or a type 2 CG, etc., without limitation. The fourth configuration information is used to configure the terminal to adopt the CG mode for uplink data transmission. Optionally, for the type 1 CG or the type 2 CG, the information included in the fourth configuration information can refer to the description of [CG] in the previous text. The fourth configuration information includes at least the number of HARQ processes of the CG, and the minimum number of HARQ processes is equal to K.
[0147] In one implementation, the fourth configuration information includes a newly added parameter, which includes the number of HARQ processes of the CG, and the minimum value of the number of HARQ processes configured by the newly added parameter is K. Optionally, the newly added parameter may be the number of HARQ processes - version 18 (nrofHARQ-processes-r18). Furthermore, the fourth configuration information may also include a parameter of the originally configured number of HARQ processes, which may be the number of HARQ processes (nrofHARQ-processes), and the value range of the number of HARQ processes configured by the original parameter is an integer between 1 and 16. In an embodiment of the present application, when the terminal and / or access network device discovers that a CG cycle period includes multiple CG transmission opportunities, the number of HARQ processes configured by the original parameter may be ignored, and the terminal and / or access network device uses the number of HARQ processes configured by the newly added parameter to determine the HARQ process identifier.
[0148] For one CG period among multiple CG periods:
[0149] Step 720: The terminal determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0150] Step 730: The access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in a CG cycle period, and the HARQ process identifier is associated with the number of HARQ processes.
[0151] In the communication method of FIG7 , the implementation manner in which the terminal and / or access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity is similar to the implementation manner in which the terminal and / or access network device determines the HARQ process identifier of the target CG transmission opportunity in the communication method of FIG6 , and the two refer to each other. It should be noted that if, in the communication method of FIG7 , formula (8) in the communication method of FIG6 is used to determine the HARQ process identifier of the first time unit in a CG cycle period, then in formula (8), the value range of Y is an integer greater than or equal to K.
[0152] Through the above design, the number of HARQ processes in any one of the multiple CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information is constrained to the number K of the largest number of CG transmission opportunities in the multiple CG cycle periods, and the number of CG transmission opportunities included in any one of the CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information is less than or equal to the number K of HARQ processes, thereby ensuring that the CG transmission opportunities in any one of the CG cycle periods configured by the fourth configuration information can exclusively enjoy one HARQ process, thereby improving the transmission performance.
