Description

Camera devices and optical instruments

[0001] The present embodiment relates to a camera device and an optical device.

[0002] A camera device is a device that takes pictures or videos of a subject, and is installed in optical devices such as smartphones, drones, and vehicles.

[0003] Camera devices feature an autofocus function that automatically adjusts focus based on the distance to the subject. They also feature image stabilization to prevent focus fluctuations caused by hand tremors.

[0004] However, as image sensors have become more pixel-rich and the diameter of the lens has increased, the weight of the lens has increased, making it difficult to secure electromagnetic force to move the lens for autofocus and image stabilization functions.

[0005] (Patent Document 1) US 2013-0016427 A1

[0006] The present embodiment provides a camera device in which a heavy lens is fixed and a relatively light image sensor moves to perform an autofocus function and an image shake correction function.

[0007] A camera device according to the present embodiment may include a fixed part; a housing movably disposed on the fixed part; a carrier disposed within the housing; a first coil that moves the carrier in an optical axis direction; a second coil that moves the housing in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction; a magnet that interacts with at least one of the first coil and the second coil; and an image sensor that moves integrally with the carrier.

[0008] The camera device includes a lens coupled to the fixing member, and when current is applied to the first coil, the lens is fixed and the image sensor can move in the optical axis direction.

[0009] When current is applied to the second coil, the lens is fixed and the image sensor can move in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction.

[0010] The magnet may overlap the first coil and the second coil in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction and may be positioned between the first coil and the second coil.

[0011] The above camera device may include a first elastic member coupled to the housing and the carrier.

[0012] The camera device may include a second elastic member coupled with the housing; and a wire having one end coupled with the fixing member and the other end coupled with the second elastic member.

[0013] The camera device may include a first substrate electrically connected to the image sensor and movably supporting the image sensor.

[0014] The first substrate includes a sensor arrangement portion, a terminal portion arranged on the outside of the sensor arrangement portion, and a connecting portion connecting the sensor arrangement portion and the terminal portion, and the connecting portion may include a shape that is folded multiple times.

[0015] The above connecting portion includes a first bend portion bent around a virtual first bend axis and a second bend portion bent around a virtual second bend axis, wherein the first bend axis may be arranged parallel to an optical axis, and the second bend axis may be arranged perpendicular to the optical axis.

[0016] The camera device includes a second substrate coupled to a lower surface of the sensor arrangement portion of the first substrate and including a hole; and a stiffener coupled to a lower surface of the second substrate, wherein the image sensor can be coupled to an upper surface of the stiffener and placed in the hole of the first substrate.

[0017] The first coil may be placed on the carrier, and the magnet may be placed on the housing.

[0018] The camera device includes a lens, the fixing member includes an upper cover coupled with the lens, and a lower cover coupled with the upper cover, and the second coil can be disposed on the upper cover.

[0019] The camera device may include a ball disposed between the upper cover and the housing.

[0020] The upper cover may include a terminal coupled to the second coil and a conductive line connected to the terminal.

[0021] An optical device according to the present embodiment may include a main body; the camera device disposed in the main body; and a display disposed in the main body and outputting at least one of an image and a video captured by the camera device.

[0022] In this embodiment, a heavy lens is fixed and a relatively light image sensor moves to perform autofocus and shake correction functions.

[0023] Therefore, even if the diameter and weight of the lens increase, the auto focus function and image stabilization function can be performed smoothly.

[0024] Additionally, the amount of power consumed when performing autofocus and image stabilization functions may be reduced.

[0025] Additionally, the size of the coil and magnet for the autofocus and image stabilization functions can be reduced, allowing for a smaller camera device. Consequently, the height of the camera device protruding from the smartphone can be minimized, or the camera device can be prevented from protruding from the smartphone.

[0026] Furthermore, since the lens is fixed, a structure can be provided in which the aperture can be easily installed between multiple lenses.
