Description

Sole parts for spike shoes, soles for spike shoes, and spike shoes

[0001] The present disclosure relates to sole parts for spiked shoes (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as "sole parts") to which cleats can be removably attached, soles for spiked shoes (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as "sole"), and spiked shoes.

[0002] Conventionally, spiked shoes with protrusions on the ground surface are known to have two types: those in which the protrusions are permanently attached to the sole and are integral with it, and those in which the protrusions are detachably attached to the sole. In the latter type of spiked shoes, the protrusions are also called cleats, and the sole is provided with seats to hold the cleats.

[0003] Cleats are typically made of metal, and the seats that hold the cleats are also typically made of metal. Meanwhile, soles are typically made of non-metallic materials such as resin or rubber, so metal seats are typically embedded in the non-metallic sole. A document disclosing such spiked shoes with seats embedded in the sole is, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2000-166614 (Patent Document 1). From the perspectives of facilitating manufacturing and increasing the fixing strength, it is preferable to embed the seats in the sole by so-called insert molding.

[0004] Meanwhile, in recent years, shoes have become popular that have a highly rigid fiber-reinforced resin plate in the sole to suppress dorsiflexion that occurs in the sole, particularly during running, thereby increasing forward propulsion force when pushing off. For example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 2018-529461 (Patent Document 2) discloses shoes with this type of sole.

[0005] JP 2000-166614 A JP 2018-529461 A

[0006] Here, if it is assumed that spike shoes are equipped with the above-mentioned high-rigidity plate made of fiber-reinforced resin, it is conceivable to embed the seat portion in the high-rigidity plate by insert molding.

[0007] However, unlike typical resins used in insert molding, fiber-reinforced resin is not easy to mold. Moreover, from the viewpoint of weight reduction and performance, the high-rigidity plate made of fiber-reinforced resin needs to be relatively thin, whereas the height of the seat portion is significantly greater than the thickness of the relatively thin high-rigidity plate made of fiber-reinforced resin.

[0008] For these reasons, it is extremely difficult to integrate the seat portion into a high-rigidity fiber-reinforced resin plate by insert molding while satisfying the required performance requirements, such as durability and lightweight. In particular, to improve durability, it is important to ensure sufficient bonding strength between the high-rigidity fiber-reinforced resin plate and the seat portion, and some kind of ingenuity is essential in this regard.

[0009] Therefore, the present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and makes it possible to provide sole parts for spiked shoes, soles for spiked shoes, and spiked shoes in which a seat for attaching cleats is provided in a plate portion made of fiber-reinforced resin by insert molding, while still ensuring sufficient bonding strength between the plate portion and the seat.

[0010] A spike shoe sole part according to the present disclosure includes a plate portion and a seat portion. The plate portion has a first main surface and a second main surface opposite the first main surface. The seat portion is a part of the plate portion that can detachably mount a cleat, and is partially embedded in the plate portion. The seat portion is made of a metal member including a tubular portion for receiving and holding the cleat and a flange portion that protrudes outward from the outer circumferential surface of the tubular portion. The plate portion is made of a molded product made of fiber-reinforced resin that includes at least a reinforced region in which reinforcing fibers are embedded in a resin matrix. The seat portion is embedded in the plate portion with an end portion of a hollow portion, which is the space inside the tubular portion, on the first main surface side in the axial direction exposed to the outside, so that a cleat can be attached and detached on the first main surface side. When viewed in a direction parallel to the axial direction of the hollow portion, the plate portion includes an overlapping region that overlaps the seat portion and a non-overlapping region that does not overlap the seat portion. The reinforced region is located across at least the overlapping region and the non-overlapping region. The reinforced region in the overlapping region is fixed to the surface of the flange on the first main surface side, the surface of the flange on the second main surface side, and the outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion. The average length of the reinforcing fibers contained in the reinforced region in the overlapping region and the non-overlapping region is longer than the length of the flange protruding from the tubular portion.

[0011] The sole for spiked shoes according to the present disclosure includes the above-described sole part for spiked shoes according to the present disclosure.

[0012] A spiked shoe according to the present disclosure includes the spiked shoe sole according to the present disclosure described above, and an upper provided above the spiked shoe sole.

[0013] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide sole parts for spiked shoes, soles for spiked shoes, and spiked shoes in which a seat for attaching cleats is provided in a fiber-reinforced resin plate portion by insert molding, while still ensuring sufficient bonding strength between the plate portion and the seat.

[0015] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the embodiments described below, the same or common parts are denoted by the same reference numerals in the drawings, and the description thereof will not be repeated.

[0016] <First Embodiment> Fig. 1 is a side view of a cleated shoe according to a first embodiment, as seen from the outside of the foot, and Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the cleated shoe shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a bottom view of the cleated shoe sole part shown in Figs. 1 and 2, and Fig. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line IV-IV in Fig. 3. First, the configurations of a cleated shoe 1, a cleated shoe sole 3, and a cleated shoe sole part 5A according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 4.

[0017] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, spike shoes 1 include an upper 2 and a sole 3. The sole 3 is a member that supports the sole of the wearer's foot and has a generally flat shape. The sole 3 has a ground contact surface 3a on its underside that comes into contact with the ground when the wearer is walking, running, or otherwise using the shoe. The upper 2 is a member that receives and holds the wearer's foot and is shaped to cover almost the entire portion of the wearer's foot distal to the ankle when inserted. The upper 2 is located above the sole 3. The upper 2 and sole 3 are joined together, for example, by adhesive bonding.

[0018] The sole 3 is divided along the front-to-back direction (left-to-right direction in FIG. 1, up-to-down direction in FIG. 2), which is the direction that coincides with the longitudinal direction of the wearer's foot when viewed in a plane, into a forefoot portion R1 that supports the toes and tread of the wearer's foot, a midfoot portion R2 that supports the arch of the wearer's foot, and a rearfoot portion R3 that supports the heel of the wearer's foot.

[0019] Here, if the front end of the sole 3 is taken as the reference point, and the position corresponding to 40% of the longitudinal dimension of the sole 3 from the front end is taken as the first boundary position, and the position corresponding to 70% of the longitudinal dimension of the sole 3 from the front end is taken as the second boundary position, the forefoot R1 corresponds to the portion included between the front end of the sole 3 and the first boundary position along the longitudinal direction, the midfoot R2 corresponds to the portion included between the first boundary position and the second boundary position along the longitudinal direction, and the rear foot R3 corresponds to the portion included between the second boundary position and the rear end of the sole 3 along the longitudinal direction.

[0020] As shown in FIG. 2 , the sole 3 is divided along the left-right direction (left-right direction in the drawing), which is the direction that matches the width direction of the wearer's foot when viewed in a plan view, into an inner foot side portion (the portion on the S1 side shown in the drawing), which is the midline side (i.e., the side closer to the midline) of the anatomical orthotopic position of the foot, and an outer foot side portion (the portion on the S2 side shown in the drawing), which is the opposite side of the midline side of the anatomical orthotopic position of the foot (i.e., the side farther from the midline).

[0021] Here, the boundary line dividing the sole 3 into the medial and lateral portions of the foot is the so-called shoe center SC. This shoe center SC is the line obtained when a standard wearer with a foot size suitable for the spike shoes 1 wears the shoes and projects a line connecting the area between the wearer's first and second toes and the center of the calcaneus (the so-called heel center (the heel center is indicated by the symbol HC in Figure 2 and other figures)) in the vertical direction onto the sole 3. The front end and rear end of the sole 3 described above are the ends of the sole 3 located on this shoe center SC.

[0022] 1 and 2, the sole 3 mainly comprises a midsole 4, a sole part 5A, an inner outsole 6A, and an outer outsole 6B. The midsole 4 defines the upper surface of the sole 3 to which the upper 2 is attached, and is configured to be relatively thick. The sole part 5A is configured to be thinner than the midsole 4, and is attached to the midsole 4 so as to cover part of the lower surface of the midsole 4. The inner outsole 6A and the outer outsole 6B are attached to the midsole 4 so as to cover predetermined positions on the lower surface of the midsole 4.

[0023] More specifically, in the spike shoes 1 according to the present embodiment, the sole parts 5A are exposed to the outside in the forefoot region R1 and the midfoot region R2, and in order to prevent the sole parts 5A from being exposed to the outside in the rearfoot region R3, the sole parts 5A except for their rear ends are attached to the underside of the midsole 4, and the rear ends of the sole parts 5A are embedded inside the midsole 4. Furthermore, the medial outsole 6A and the lateral outsole 6B are attached to the underside of the midsole 4 in the portions where the sole parts 5A are embedded.

[0024] As a result, the above-mentioned ground contact surface 3a of the sole 3 is defined mainly by the sole parts 5A in the forefoot portion R1 and midfoot portion R2, and is also defined mainly by the medial outsole 6A and lateral outsole 6B in the rearfoot portion R3. Note that in the portions of the underside of the sole 3 where the above-mentioned sole parts 5A, medial outsole 6A, and lateral outsole 6B are not provided, the ground contact surface 3a is defined by the underside of the midsole 4 in the portion exposed to the outside.

[0025] Here, the assembly of the sole part 5A to the midsole 4 and the assembly of the medial outsole 6A and lateral outsole 6B to the midsole 4 can be performed by, for example, adhesive bonding. In addition, a specific method for embedding the rear end of the sole part 5A inside the midsole 4 in the rear foot region R3 can be achieved, for example, by dividing the midsole 4 into multiple members and sandwiching the rear end of the sole part 5A between these multiple divided midsole 4 members.

[0026] It should be noted that the sole parts 5A do not necessarily have to be partially embedded in the midsole 4, and the sole parts 5A may be assembled to the midsole 4 so as to cover almost the entire lower surface of the midsole 4. In that case, the medial outsole 6A and lateral outsole 6B described above are not necessarily required and can be omitted. In addition, in this embodiment, the outsole is configured from two members, the medial outsole 6A and lateral outsole 6B, but they may be configured from one member or from three or more members.

[0027] The midsole 4 preferably has a moderate strength and excellent cushioning properties, and from this viewpoint, for example, a resin foam material containing a resin material as a main component and a foaming agent and a cross-linking agent as secondary components is used as the midsole 4. Alternatively, a rubber foam material containing a rubber material as a main component and a plasticizer, a foaming agent, a reinforcing agent, and a cross-linking agent as secondary components may be used.

[0028] Examples of the resin material that can be used include ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), polyolefin resin, thermoplastic polyurethane, thermoplastic polyamide elastomer (TPA, TPAE), thermoplastic polyester elastomer, etc. Examples of the rubber material that can be used include butadiene rubber.

[0029] As a result, the midsole 4 is generally made of a soft material with a low elastic modulus, and therefore the midsole 4 elastically deforms relatively easily when subjected to a compressive load, thereby providing excellent cushioning properties.

[0030] On the other hand, the sole part 5A is a composite part consisting of a plate portion 10 and multiple seat portions 20, as described below, and is made of a material with higher rigidity than the material constituting the midsole 4. The plate portion 10, which forms the base of the sole part 5A, is made of a fiber-reinforced resin. Examples of reinforcing fibers include carbon fiber, glass fiber, cellulose fiber (including cellulose nanofiber), aramid fiber, Dyneema fiber, Zylon fiber, and boron fiber. On the other hand, the resin used as the base material can be a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin, such as epoxy resin, polyester resin, phenolic resin, polyamide resin, polypropylene resin, polyethylene resin, or polyurethane resin.

[0031] As a result, the sole part 5A is made of a hard material with a significantly high elastic modulus. Therefore, the sole part 5A undergoes elastic deformation when subjected to a high load during kicking off, and the restoring force generated in the sole part 5A due to this elastic deformation acts on the ground as a high repulsive force. Therefore, by providing the sole part 5A to the sole 3, it is possible to dramatically increase the forward propulsion force during kicking off.

[0032] Here, the effect of improving forward propulsion during kick-off using the above-mentioned rebound force is exerted mainly by the plate portion 10 of the sole part 5A. That is, the plate portion 10 of the sole part 5A functions as a so-called high-rigidity plate. In contrast, the multiple seat portions 20 integrated with the plate portion 10, when fitted with cleats 30, enhance the propulsion during kick-off, as will be described in detail later.

[0033] It is preferable that the medial outsole 6A and the lateral outsole 6B have excellent wear resistance and grip, and from this perspective, the medial outsole 6A and the lateral outsole 6B are made of a hard resin or rubber material that has a higher elastic modulus than the midsole 4.

[0034] 1 to 4, the sole part 5A is made up of a generally plate-shaped member overall, and includes a plate portion 10 and a plurality of seat portions 20. The plate portion 10 is the base of the sole part 5A, and each of the plurality of seat portions 20 is a portion that receives and holds a cleat 30. The cleat 30 protrudes in a pin-like shape from the ground contact surface 3a of the sole 3 to increase propulsion force during kick-off.

[0035] The plate portion 10 has a first main surface 10a located on the ground surface 3a side and a second main surface 10b (see Figure 4) located on the opposite side of the first main surface 10a, and each of the multiple seat portions 20 is embedded in the plate portion 10 so as to be exposed on the first main surface 10a side.

[0036] 2 and 3, the plate portion 10 corresponding to the forefoot portion R1 has an opening 11 extending in the front-to-rear direction at its center. As a result, in the forefoot portion R1, the plate portion 10 extends in a generally U-shape in plan view, along the toe, medial side, and lateral side. In the midfoot portion R2 and rearfoot portion R3, the plate portion 10 is positioned across the medial side and lateral side.

[0037] The plurality of seats 20 include a total of four seats, specifically, seat 20A located near the front end of forefoot R1 and on the medial side, seat 20B located near the rear end of forefoot R1 and on the medial side, seat 20C located near the front end of forefoot R1 and on the lateral side, and seat 20D located near the rear end of forefoot R1 and on the lateral side. All of these four seats 20A to 20D have the same shape.

[0038] Here, the sole part 5A is a so-called insert-molded product, and is a composite part formed by integrating a plate portion 10 and a plurality of seat portions 20. Specifically, the sole part 5A is produced by attaching the pre-molded plate portion 10 so that it covers a portion of the surface of each of the plurality of seat portions 20 when molding the plate portion 10, and then solidifying the plate portion 10 while molding in this state. As a result, a portion of each of the plurality of seat portions 20 is assembled to the plate portion 10 in a state embedded in the plate portion 10 as described above, and the plate portion 10 is fixed to the surface of the seat portion 20 at the boundary between the plate portion 10 and each of the plurality of seat portions 20.

[0039] As shown in Figures 3 and 4, each of the seats 20 has a nut shape with an internal thread 20a, while as shown in Figure 4, each of the cleats 30 has a pin shape with an external thread 30a.

[0040] As a result, the male threads 30a on each of the cleats 30 are threadedly engaged with the female threads 20a on each of the seats 20, thereby fixing each of the cleats 30 to the corresponding seat parts 20, thereby enabling the attachment of the cleats 30 to the sole part 5A. The cleats 30 are attached to and detached from the sole part 5A in the direction of arrow DR shown in Figure 4.

[0041] 1 to 3, a plurality of protrusions 18 are provided at predetermined positions on the first main surface 10a of the plate portion 10, in a portion that does not have the above-described plurality of seats 20. Similar to the above-described plurality of cleats 30, these plurality of protrusions 18 protrude from the ground-contact surface 3a of the sole 3 to increase propulsion force during kick-off.

[0042] 2 and 3, the plurality of protrusions 18 are positioned so as to surround the plurality of seat portions 20. Therefore, some of the plurality of protrusions 18 are positioned so as to be continuous between pairs of adjacent seat portions of the plurality of seat portions 20 (i.e., between seat portion 20A and seat portion 20B, between seat portion 20A and seat portion 20C, and between seat portion 20C and seat portion 20D).

[0043] As a result, a pair of adjacent seats 20 are intermittently connected by the plurality of protrusions 18 provided between them. In other words, the plate portion 10 between a pair of seats 20 provided at different positions and a distance from each other is provided with a plurality of protrusions 18 serving as ribs that intermittently connect the pair of seats 20. With this configuration, the plurality of protrusions 18 serving as ribs not only contribute to improving the propulsive force during kick-off as described above, but also function to reinforce the portion of the plate portion 10 located between the seats 20.

[0044] The detailed structure of the portion of the sole part 5A where the seat portion 20 is provided and the vicinity thereof will be described below, with particular reference to Fig. 4. Note that Fig. 4 is a diagram showing a cross section of the seat portion 20D and its vicinity, one of the four seats 20A to 20D provided in the sole part 5A, but as described above, these four seats 20A to 20D all have the same shape, and the structures around these four seats 20A to 20D are also substantially the same, so they will not be distinguished from each other in the following description.

[0045] As shown in FIG. 4 , the seat 20 includes a cylindrical portion 21, a bottom portion 22, and a flange portion 23. The cylindrical portion 21 is a portion for receiving and holding the cleat 30 and has a hollow portion 24 therein. The inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 21 is provided with the above-mentioned female thread portion 20a. The bottom portion 22 closes the end of the hollow portion 24 on the second main surface 10b side in the axial direction (the direction of the axis AX shown in the figure) and has a generally circular plate shape. The flange portion 23 protrudes outward from the outer circumferential surface 21a of the cylindrical portion 21 and has an annular plate shape that goes around the circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion 21.

[0046] Here, the flange 23 may be provided at any position along the axial direction of the tubular portion 21, but is preferably provided at a midpoint along the axial direction of the tubular portion 21 or at the end of the tubular portion 21 on the side where the bottom portion 22 is provided (i.e., the end on the second main surface 10b side). Note that in the illustrated sole part 5A, the flange 23 is provided at a midpoint near the end of the tubular portion 21 on the side where the bottom portion 22 is provided.

[0047] As described above, the seat portion 20 is embedded in the plate portion 10 so as to be exposed on the first main surface 10a side. More specifically, the seat portion 20 is embedded in the plate portion 10 so that the end of its hollow portion 24 in the axial direction on the first main surface 10a side is exposed to the outside. This exposes the hollow portion 24 provided inside the seat portion 20 to the outside, allowing the cleat 30 to be inserted into the hollow portion 24, thereby enabling the cleat 30 to be attached and detached on the first main surface 10a side.

[0048] The seat 20 is made of a metal member, such as aluminum, iron, titanium, or an alloy thereof. The size of the seat 20 is not particularly limited, but its inner diameter is preferably, for example, 5.0 mm to 19.0 mm, and its height (length in the axial direction) is preferably, for example, 4.6 mm to 6.0 mm. The thickness of the flange 23 is preferably, for example, 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, and its protruding length D from the outer peripheral surface 21 a of the cylindrical portion 21 is preferably, for example, 1.0 mm to 12.0 mm.

[0049] On the other hand, the plate portion 10 is made of fiber-reinforced resin as described above. Here, the plate portion 10 includes a reinforced region in which reinforcing fibers 13 are embedded in the resin 12 as a base material. The reinforced region may be provided over the entire plate portion 10, or may be provided over only a part of it. However, the reinforced region must be provided in at least the portion of the plate portion 10 that straddles the overlap region A and the non-overlap region B described below, and this point will be described in detail later.

[0050] When viewed in a direction parallel to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24 of the seat portion 20, the plate portion 10 includes an overlapping region A that overlaps with the seat portion 20, and a non-overlapping region B that does not overlap with the seat portion 20. Here, the overlapping region A includes not only the portion that overlaps with the cylindrical portion 21 and the bottom portion 22 of the seat portion 20, but also the portion that overlaps with the flange portion 23.

[0051] The plate portion 10 is positioned to surround the periphery of the seat portion 20 so that the thickness direction of the plate portion 10 is parallel to the height direction of the seat portion 20. More specifically, the plate portion 10 covers a first main surface side surface 23a which is the surface on the first main surface 10a side of the flange portion 23, a second main surface side surface 23b which is the surface on the second main surface 10b side of the flange portion 23, and the outer peripheral surface 21a of the tubular portion 21, and also covers a surface 22a of the bottom portion 22 on the second main surface 10b side.

[0052] Here, since the sole part 5A is configured as a so-called insert molded product as described above, the plate part 10 is fixed to the surface of the seat part 20 at the boundary between the plate part 10 and the seat part 20. More specifically, the plate part 10 is fixed to each of the first main surface side surface 23a and the second main surface side surface 23b of the flange part 23 and the outer circumferential surface 21a of the tubular part 21, and is also fixed to the surface 22a on the second main surface 10b side of the bottom part 22.

[0053] By configuring it in this manner, all of the outer surface of the seat portion 20 except for the axial end face 21b on the first main surface 10a side is covered by the plate portion 10 and joined to it, thereby making it possible to increase the joining strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0054] Furthermore, since the flange portion 23, which protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 21a of the tubular portion 21, is covered by the plate portion 10, not only does the increased bonding area increase the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20, but the flange portion 23 is positioned so that it bites into the plate portion 10, which also increases the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0055] The plate portion 10 includes a thick portion 14 located outside the cylindrical portion 21 and closer to the cylindrical portion 21, and a thin portion 15 located outside the thick portion 14. The thick portion 14 includes portions of the plate portion 10 that are fixed to the first main surface 23a and the second main surface 23b of the flange portion 23 and the outer peripheral surface 21a of the cylindrical portion 21.

[0056] The portion of the first main surface 10a constituting the thick-walled portion 14 adjacent to the tubular portion 21 is continuous with the axial end face 21b on the first main surface 10a side of the tubular portion 21 that is exposed to the outside. By configuring in this manner, the thickness of the plate portion 10 adjacent to the seat portion 20 can be made sufficiently thick, thereby increasing the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0057] Furthermore, first main surface 10a of the portion constituting thick portion 14 moves toward second main surface 10b as it moves away from tubular portion 21, and includes first curved surface 16 that smoothly connects to first main surface 10a of the portion constituting thin portion 15. In addition, second main surface 10b of the portion constituting thick portion 14 moves toward first main surface 10a as it moves away from tubular portion 21, and includes second curved surface 17 that smoothly connects to second main surface 10b of the portion constituting thin portion 15.

[0058] As a result, the portion of the plate portion 10 surrounding the seat portion 20 has a shape that bulges in the thickness direction compared to its surroundings. With this configuration, it is possible to ensure a large bonding area between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20 while reducing the thickness of the plate portion 10 as a so-called high-rigidity plate, and it is possible to increase the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0059] Here, the thickness of the portion of the plate portion 10 that constitutes the thick portion 14 is not particularly limited, but is preferably 1.5 mm or more and 7.0 mm or less. On the other hand, the thickness of the portion of the plate portion 10 that constitutes the thin portion 15 is also not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.5 mm or more and 2.5 mm or less, provided that the thickness is smaller than that of the thick portion 14.

[0060] In the sole part 5A according to the present embodiment, a reinforced region provided in the plate portion 10, in which reinforcing fibers 13 are contained in the resin 12 as a base material, is located across the above-mentioned overlapping region A and non-overlapping region B. In other words, when viewed in a direction parallel to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24, the reinforced region extends in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24 so as to include the portion where the tip of the flange portion 23 is located, and in the illustrated sole part 5A, the entire plate portion 10 shown in the figure is configured as a reinforced region.

[0061] For example, this reinforced region may be a random orientation region in which the reinforcing fibers 13 are randomly oriented in the resin 12 as the base material, or a non-random orientation region in which the reinforcing fibers 13 are regularly oriented in the resin 12 as the base material. The non-random orientation region may be one in which the reinforcing fibers 13 are oriented in one direction, or one in which the reinforcing fibers 13 are oriented in multiple directions, such as two or three directions. In this embodiment, the reinforced region is a random orientation region.

[0062] The average length L of the reinforcing fibers 13 contained in this random orientation region is longer than the protruding length D from the outer peripheral surface 21 a of the flange portion 23 (i.e., the condition 1.0<L / D is satisfied). Note that for ease of understanding, the figure focuses on one reinforcing fiber 13 and represents its length as L, but the average length L of the reinforcing fibers referred to here is the average length of the multiple reinforcing fibers 13 contained in the random orientation region.

[0063] By configuring it in this manner, a large number of reinforcing fibers 13 are present in the resin 12 at the boundary between the overlapping area A and the non-overlapping area B, which is the weakest part due to the difference in rigidity between the plate part 10 and the seat part 20, so that the reinforcing effect of this part can be ensured and the breaking strength at the boundary between the plate part 10 and the seat part 20 can be dramatically increased.

[0064] In order to have a large number of reinforcing fibers 13 present in the resin 12 so as to straddle the above-mentioned boundary portion, the longer the length of the reinforcing fibers 13, the better, and it is preferable that the average length L of the reinforcing fibers 13 and the protruding length D from the outer peripheral surface 21a of the flange portion 23 satisfy the condition 1.08≦L / D, it is even more preferable that they satisfy the condition 1.15≦L / D, and it is even more preferable that they satisfy the condition 1.30≦L / D.

[0065] Furthermore, when the axial length of the tubular portion 21 located closer to the first main surface 10a than the flange 23 (i.e., the distance from the axial end surface 21b of the tubular portion 21 to the connection between the first main surface side surface 23a of the flange 23 and the outer circumferential surface 21a of the tubular portion 21) is H, it is preferable that the average length L of the reinforcing fibers 13, the protruding length D of the flange 23, and the axial length H of the tubular portion 21 further satisfy the condition 1<L / (D+H). In this configuration, it is possible to position more reinforcing fibers 13 so as to straddle the boundary portion, which further ensures an improvement in the fracture strength at the boundary between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0066] Here, it is preferable that the thickness of the randomly oriented region covering the first main surface 23 a of the flange 23 and the thickness of the randomly oriented region covering the second main surface 23 b of the flange 23 are each 0.5 mm or more. Considering that the volume content of reinforcing fibers in general fiber-reinforced resins is 20% to 60%, this configuration makes it possible to ensure a considerable number of reinforcing fibers 13 positioned across the above-mentioned boundary, thereby more reliably increasing the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0067] As described above, by providing the spike shoe sole part 5A of this embodiment, the spike shoe sole 3 equipped with the same, and the spike shoe 1 equipped with the same, it is possible to provide the seat portion 20 for attaching the cleats 30 by insert molding in the fiber-reinforced resin plate portion 10, while still ensuring sufficient bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0068] 5 and 6 are schematic diagrams for explaining a method for manufacturing a sole part for spiked shoes according to this embodiment. Hereinafter, the method for manufacturing the sole part 5A for spiked shoes according to this embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.

[0069] As described above, the sole part 5A according to this embodiment includes the plate portion 10 made of fiber-reinforced resin, and the plate portion 10 includes a random orientation region in a portion spanning the overlap region A and the non-overlapping region B. The sole part 5A having such a configuration can be manufactured, for example, through the following manufacturing process.

[0070] First, as shown in Fig. 5, a resin piece 10A is prepared as the raw material for the plate portion 10. The resin piece 10A contains a plurality of reinforcing fibers 13 inside a resin 12 as a base material, and the plurality of reinforcing fibers 13 are oriented so as to extend in one direction. The resin piece 10A is produced by cutting a larger resin sheet containing longer reinforcing fibers inside to a predetermined size, and the resin pieces 10A are prepared in the number required to manufacture the plate portion 10.

[0071] 6, the prepared resin pieces 10A are stacked together so that the thickness directions of the prepared resin pieces 10A are aligned and the pieces are oriented in random directions intersecting the thickness direction, thereby preparing an assembly of the resin pieces 10A, which is then cut to produce a resin plate 10B of a predetermined shape. Here, for convenience, the resin plate 10B is shown to have a generally rectangular outline in plan view, but in reality, a resin plate 10B with an outline corresponding to the shape of the plate portion 10 to be manufactured is prepared.

[0072] Next, the resin plate 10B is placed into a mold in which a plurality of seat portions 20 have been set beforehand, and then press molding is performed using the mold. As a result, the plate portion 10 including the random orientation region is molded, and the plurality of seat portions 20 are integrated with the plate portion 10. In the manufactured sole part 5A, the random orientation region is located in the portion spanning the above-mentioned overlapping region A and non-overlapping region B.

[0073] After the above-described manufacturing process, the entire plate portion 10 of the sole part 5A will be configured as a random orientation region, but when producing the resin plate 10B, it is possible to manufacture a sole part having a random orientation region only in a portion of the plate portion 10 by replacing a predetermined region therein with a resin piece different from the aggregate of the above-described resin pieces 10A (for example, a resin piece that does not contain reinforcing fibers or a resin piece that contains multiple woven reinforcing fibers), or by replacing it with a larger resin piece that contains multiple regularly oriented reinforcing fibers. However, even in this case, in order to obtain sufficient bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20, it is necessary to configure the portion spanning the above-described overlapping region A and non-overlapping region B with a random orientation region.

[0074] Furthermore, the method for manufacturing the sole part 5A for spiked shoes described above involves producing it by press molding, but it is also possible to produce it by autoclave molding.

[0075] Here, the manufacturing method of the sole part 5A for spiked shoes described above shows an example in which a random orientation region as a reinforced region is formed so as to straddle the overlap region A and the non-overlapping region B, but the reinforced region may also be a non-random orientation region as described above.

[0076] In this case, one example of a method for manufacturing spike shoe sole parts is to prepare in advance a reinforced fiber resin plate in which the reinforcing fibers are oriented in one or more directions, drill holes in the portion of this reinforced fiber resin plate where the seat will be embedded, fit the seat into that portion, and then press-molde or autoclave-molde the reinforced fiber resin plate in that state. In this case, if a portion in which the reinforcing fibers are oriented in one or more directions as described above is placed in the portion of the reinforced fiber resin plate that will become the boundary between the overlapping region A and the non-overlapping region B after molding, a non-randomly oriented region will be formed so as to straddle the overlapping region A and the non-overlapping region B.

[0077] <Embodiment 2> Figure 7(A) is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main part of a spiked shoe sole part according to embodiment 2, and Figure 7(B) is a bottom view of the main part. A spiked shoe sole part 5B according to this embodiment will be described below with reference to Figures 7(A) and 7(B). The spiked shoe sole part 5B according to this embodiment is provided in the spiked shoe sole 3 and the spiked shoe 1 in place of the spiked shoe sole part 5A according to embodiment 1 described above.

[0078] As shown in FIG. 7A, the sole part 5B according to this embodiment differs from the sole part 5A according to the first embodiment described above only in the shape of the plate portion 10.

[0079] Specifically, in sole part 5B, first main surface 10a of the portion constituting thick portion 14 of plate portion 10 is inclined more significantly toward second main surface 10b as it moves away from cylindrical portion 21, so that the thickness of thick portion 14 is significantly reduced at positions closer to cylindrical portion 21 compared to that of sole part 5A according to embodiment 1 described above. Accordingly, thin portion 15 is also thinner compared to that of spiked shoe sole part 5A according to embodiment 1 described above.

[0080] Even with this configuration, effects similar to those described in the first embodiment can be obtained, and while the seat portion 20 for attaching the cleats 30 is provided by insert molding in the fiber-reinforced resin plate portion 10, not only can the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20 be sufficiently ensured, but the thickness of the thick-walled portion 14 and the thin-walled portion 15 is thinner, making the sole part 5A lighter than the sole part 5A of the first embodiment described above.

[0081] As shown in FIG. 7(B), in the sole part 5B according to this embodiment, the first curved surface 16 included in the first main surface 10a of the part constituting the thick portion 14 and the second curved surface 17 included in the second main surface 10b of the part constituting the thick portion 14 are both configured so that their curvatures change as they move away from the tubular portion 21, and the first imaginary line 16b connecting the first maximum curvature position 16a (see FIG. 7(A)), which is the position where the curvature of the first curved surface 16 is maximum, and the second imaginary line 17b connecting the second maximum curvature position 17a (see FIG. 7(A)), which is the position where the curvature of the second curved surface 17 is maximum, are configured so that they do not overlap when viewed along a direction parallel to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24 (i.e., the direction in which the axis AX shown in the figure extends).

[0082] With this configuration, it is possible to avoid arranging the first maximum curvature position 16 a and the second maximum curvature position 17 a, which may be weaker than the surrounding areas due to their structure, close to each other, thereby preventing damage to the thick portion 14 including the first maximum curvature position 16 a and the second maximum curvature position 17 a. This improves the strength of the sole part 5B as a whole, making it possible to provide excellent durability.

[0083] <First Modification> Fig. 8 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a first modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B1 according to the first modification will be described with reference to Fig. 8.

[0084] As shown in FIG. 8, the sole part 5B1 according to the first modified example is different from the sole part 5B according to the second embodiment in the shape of the flange 23.

[0085] Specifically, the flange portion 23 extends outward from the outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion so as to intersect with an imaginary plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24, and more particularly, the flange portion 23 extends in a curved manner toward the first main surface 10a as it moves away from the tubular portion 21.

[0086] When configured in this manner, not only are effects similar to those described in the second embodiment obtained, but since the curved flange portion 23 is covered by the plate portion 10, a so-called anchor effect is obtained, which further improves the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.

[0087] <Second Modification> Fig. 9 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a second modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B2 according to the second modification will be described with reference to Fig. 9.

[0088] As shown in FIG. 9, the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example is different from the sole part 5B according to the second embodiment in the shape of the flange 23.

[0089] Specifically, the flange portion 23 extends outward from the outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion so as to intersect with an imaginary plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the hollow portion 24, and more particularly, the flange portion 23 extends in a wedge-like manner, tilting toward the first main surface 10a as it moves away from the tubular portion 21.

[0090] When configured in this manner, not only are effects similar to those described in the second embodiment obtained, but since the wedge-shaped inclined flange portion 23 is covered by the plate portion 10, a so-called anchor effect is obtained, and as a result, the bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20 is further improved.

[0091] <Third Modification> Fig. 10 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a third modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B3 according to the third modification will be described with reference to Fig. 10.

[0092] As shown in FIG. 10 , the sole part 5B3 according to the third modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above only in the range of the random orientation region provided in the plate portion 10.

[0093] Specifically, in the sole part 5B3, the reinforcing fibers 13 are not located in the portion of the plate portion 10 that covers the surface 22a on the second main surface 10b side of the bottom portion 22 of the seat portion 20.

[0094] Even in this configuration, the same effects as those described in the second embodiment and the second modified example can be obtained.

[0095] <Fourth Modification> Fig. 11 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a fourth modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B4 according to the fourth modification will be described with reference to Fig. 11 .

[0096] As shown in FIG. 11 , the sole part 5B4 according to the fourth modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above only in the range of the random orientation region provided in the plate portion 10.

[0097] Specifically, in the sole part 5B4, the reinforcing fibers 13 are not located in the portion of the plate portion 10 that covers the second main surface 23b of the flange portion 23 of the seat portion 20.

[0098] Even in this configuration, the same effects as those described in the second embodiment and the second modified example can be obtained.

[0099] <Fifth Modification> Fig. 12 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a fifth modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B5 according to the fifth modification will be described with reference to Fig. 12 .

[0100] As shown in FIG. 12, the sole part 5B5 according to the fifth modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above only in the range of the random orientation region provided in the plate portion 10.

[0101] Specifically, in the sole part 5B5, the reinforcing fibers 13 are not located in the portion of the plate portion 10 that covers the first main surface 23a of the flange portion 23 of the seat portion 20.

[0102] Even in this configuration, the same effects as those described in the second embodiment and the second modified example can be obtained.

[0103] <Sixth Modification> Fig. 13 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a sixth modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B6 according to the sixth modification will be described with reference to Fig. 13 .

[0104] As shown in FIG. 13, the sole part 5B6 according to the sixth modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above in the shape of the plate portion 10.

[0105] Specifically, in the sole part 5B6, the plate portion 10 does not cover the surface 22a on the second main surface 10b side of the bottom portion 22 of the seat portion 20, and the surface 22a is exposed to the outside.

[0106] Even when configured in this manner, effects similar to those described in the above-mentioned second embodiment and second modified example can be obtained, and further, the weight of the sole part 5B6 can be reduced by the amount that the position where the plate portion 10 is provided is reduced.

[0107] <Seventh Modification> Fig. 14 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to a seventh modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B7 according to the seventh modification will be described with reference to Fig. 14 .

[0108] As shown in FIG. 14, the sole part 5B7 according to the seventh modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above in the shape of the seat portion 20.

[0109] Specifically, in the sole part 5B7, the seat portion 20 does not have a bottom 22, and the seat portion 20 is open at the end on the second main surface 10b side in the axial direction of the hollow portion 24, and the open end of the seat portion 20 on the second main surface 10b side is covered by the plate portion 10.

[0110] Even when configured in this manner, effects similar to those described in the above-mentioned second embodiment and second modified example can be obtained, and further, the weight of the sole part 5B7 can be reduced by the amount that the bottom 22 is not provided on the seat portion 20.

[0111] <Eighth Modification> Fig. 15 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a main portion of a spiked shoe sole part according to an eighth modification based on the above-described embodiment 2. Hereinafter, a spiked shoe sole part 5B8 according to the eighth modification will be described with reference to Fig. 15 .

[0112] As shown in FIG. 15, the sole part 5B8 according to the eighth modified example differs from the sole part 5B2 according to the second modified example described above in the shape of the plate portion 10 and the shape of the seat portion 20.

[0113] Specifically, in the sole part 5B8, the seat portion 20 does not have a bottom 22, the seat portion 20 is open at the end on the second main surface 10b side in the axial direction of the hollow portion 24, and the plate portion 10 does not cover the open end of the seat portion 20 on the second main surface 10b side.

[0114] Even when configured in this manner, effects similar to those described in the above-mentioned second embodiment and second modified example can be obtained, and furthermore, the weight of the sole part 5B8 can be reduced by the amount that the bottom 22 is not provided on the seat portion 20, and in addition, by the amount that the position where the plate portion 10 is provided is reduced.

[0115] <Embodiment 3> Figure 16 is a bottom view of a cleated shoe according to embodiment 3. A cleated shoe sole part 5C according to this embodiment will be described below with reference to Figure 16. Note that the cleated shoe sole part 5C according to this embodiment is provided in the cleated shoe sole 3 and the cleated shoe 1 in place of the cleated shoe sole part 5A according to embodiment 1 described above.

[0116] As shown in FIG. 16, a sole part 5C according to this embodiment differs from the sole part 5A according to the first embodiment described above only in the shape of the plate portion 10.

[0117] Specifically, the sole part 5C does not have the multiple protrusions 18 (see FIGS. 1 to 3 ) that the sole part 5A according to the first embodiment described above has. Instead, multiple protrusions 19 are provided on the first main surface 10a of the plate part 10. The multiple protrusions 19 are provided between pairs of adjacent seats among the multiple seats 20 (i.e., between seat 20A and seat 20B, and between seat 20C and seat 20D), and continuously connect these pairs of adjacent seats. In other words, the multiple protrusions 19 correspond to ribs that continuously connect pairs of adjacent seats 20, and function to reinforce the portion of the plate part 10 located between these seats 20.

[0118] Even with this configuration, effects similar to those described in the first embodiment can be obtained, and the seat portion 20 for attaching the cleats 30 can be provided by insert molding in the fiber-reinforced resin plate portion 10, while still ensuring sufficient bonding strength between the plate portion 10 and the seat portion 20.
