Description

Method for providing a used device transaction service based on a blockchain network and a used device transaction service server device

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for providing a used device transaction service based on a blockchain network and a used device transaction service server device. More specifically, the present invention relates to a service that records device management data in a block of an NFT linked to the device on a blockchain network, thereby enabling verification of the device's management data during a used device transaction.

[0002] The size of the used goods transaction market is expected to reach 25 trillion won in 2022 and 43 trillion won in 2025, showing rapid growth every year.

[0003] With the growth of the secondhand market, terms related to secondhand transactions, such as "second hand" and "resale," are gaining attention. The conceptualization of secondhand transactions and their contribution to the environment are being emphasized. In line with the era of high prices, the secondhand market is expected to expand and globalize thanks to advancements in information technology, with significant social and economic impacts.

[0004] However, the current secondhand trading system is plagued by persistent problems, including fraud, due to its imperfect system. Typical secondhand trading platforms essentially provide an online platform where buyers and sellers can verify information about used goods. Transactions rely on mutual trust between sellers and buyers, leading to a steady increase in fraud or limited transactions, such as direct transactions.

[0005] However, the blockchain technology of the present invention is a technology that provides reliable management records of used goods even without a middleman, and can safely conduct transactions by replacing middlemen by verifying data through a consensus process among multiple individuals and storing the verified information in a ledger of a blockchain structure.

[0006] Blockchain is a tamper-proof technology based on distributed computing technology. It stores small data sets called "blocks" in a peer-to-peer (P2P) chain-like structure, linking them together to prevent arbitrary modification and allowing anyone to view the results of any changes. Blockchain is designed to prevent arbitrary manipulation by distributed node operators by recording continuously changing data on a change list across all participating nodes.

[0007] One embodiment of the present invention seeks to solve the above-described problem and proposes a technology for issuing an NFT linked one-to-one with a device and storing management data of the device in a block of the NFT on a blockchain network.

[0008] Another embodiment of the present invention provides a service that provides an NFT viewer to a used goods purchaser through a used goods transaction service server, and allows the purchaser to check device management data details and make a purchase.

[0009] The problems to be solved by the present invention are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned can be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the technical field to which the present invention belongs from the description below.

[0011] The above token may be characterized in that it includes an NFT and is issued when the device is first used in a form in which unique information of the device is mapped.

[0012] Sharing management data of the above device may further include a first route in which the data is shared directly from the device having a communication function; and a second route in which the data is shared from a service center terminal that maintains the device.

[0013] The management data of the device shared through the first route may be characterized by including at least one of the frequency of use, actual use time, and use period of the device.

[0014] The management data of the device shared through the second route may be characterized by including a periodic diagnosis or repair history of the device.

[0015] According to another embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a second-hand transaction service based on a blockchain network system may be characterized by including the steps of: authenticating ownership of a device and requesting generation of a token linked to the device from a first user terminal; when ownership of the device is completed, transmitting a request for generation of a token linked to the device from a seller terminal to a second-hand transaction service server; receiving the token generation request from the second-hand transaction service server, and generating a first smart contract in the blockchain network system that issues a token linked to the device to a blockchain account of the first user terminal; issuing a token linked to the device according to the first smart contract; sharing management data of the device by the first user terminal with the second-hand transaction service server; verifying the management data of the device by the second-hand transaction service server and recording the management data of the device in a block for a token linked to the device; and confirming management data details of the device by the second-hand transaction service server and purchasing the device.

[0016] The above token may be characterized in that it includes an NFT and is issued when the device is first used in a form in which unique information of the device is mapped.

[0017] The method for providing the above-mentioned second-hand transaction service includes a first route step in which the device having a communication function directly shares the management data of the device with the second-hand transaction service server;

[0018] The method may further include a second route step in which a service center terminal that maintains the device shares management data of the device; and a step in which the second-hand transaction service server records the shared management data of the device in a block for a token linked to the device.

[0019] The management data of the device shared through the first route may be characterized by including at least one of the usage frequency, actual usage time, and usage period of the device.

[0020] The management data of the device shared through the second route may be characterized by including a periodic diagnosis or repair history of the device.

[0021] According to one embodiment of the present invention, history management can be performed by linking a physical device and an NFT and recording various information of the physical device in NFT metadata.

[0022] According to another embodiment of the present invention, by providing the recorded history of a device as reliable data in a second-hand transaction, second-hand transactions can be encouraged and reliability can be increased.

[0046] In this specification, it is assumed that a device refers to an electronic device.

[0047] FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a blockchain network according to one embodiment.

[0048] Blockchain is a technology based on cryptography and distributed systems. It is a method in which each transacting party cannot deny transaction details even if a specific third party does not guarantee the transaction in an open network environment. It can refer to a technology that operates and manages a network and database that can transmit transaction details (or transactions) or ledger data. Hereinafter, for convenience of explanation, the aforementioned network and database will be referred to as a blockchain network. In this case, transaction details may refer to transaction records transmitted and received between participants in a blockchain network and stored. Depending on the embodiment, transaction details may be referred to as transactions, transaction information, transactions, transaction records, or transaction data, and are not limited to the examples described above. Specifically, a blockchain network is similar to a distributed database, but differs in that members (e.g., nodes) participating in a network that connects and stores transaction details or ledger data mutually verify the integrity of the ledger data and then store the verified ledger data on each node. In other words, blockchain is a storage platform designed to make arbitrary manipulation of data difficult.

[0049] The operating principle of a blockchain network is as follows. A block can be created based on data generated over a certain period of time (e.g., transaction history or ledger data). Newly created blocks are sequentially linked in a chain structure based on causal relationships with previously created blocks. These sequentially accumulated blocks are linked in a chain and synchronized with other nodes in the blockchain network based on a pre-established consensus algorithm. If more than 51% of all nodes determine a block to be invalid, the block is deemed to have been misused or has been forged / tampered with. Accordingly, if an invalid block is detected, it can be removed from the blockchain network, thereby maintaining the integrity of the blockchain. For example, referring to Figure 1, A can request a transaction from B (S100), and information regarding the transaction can be stored in a block (S110). Blocks are transmitted to each node in the blockchain network (S120), and each node can verify the validity of the block (S130). Blocks deemed valid are linked to the existing blockchain (S140), and the corresponding transaction can be completed (S150). However, blocks deemed invalid are removed from the blockchain network.

[0050] Services provided based on blockchain networks include cryptocurrencies, collectively known as digital assets, NFTs (Non-Tangible Tokens), decentralized application services (DApps), and decentralized finance (DeFi). More specifically, while traditional application services store information in a database on a central server and operate the application on the central server, DApps allow multiple nodes in the blockchain network to share the authority previously held by the central server without a separate central server. According to DApps, unlike traditional applications that store data in a centralized database, storing important data on a decentralized blockchain can improve data security and transparency. DeFi is a financial service that utilizes blockchain technology, and refers to financial services that anyone can freely use in a decentralized environment without a central authority.

[0051] A smart contract is a set of executable software instructions stored and executed by a blockchain network. Smart contracts are typically stored unencrypted and are therefore visible to all participants in the blockchain network. Participants in a blockchain network can create and publish their own smart contracts, and can also typically invoke smart contracts already deployed on the blockchain network. Because the set of instructions available for smart contracts is typically Turing complete, smart contracts can support complex logic to support a variety of business scenarios.

[0052] Figure 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for providing a used goods transaction service according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0053] First, a request for ownership authentication and token generation is transmitted from the first user terminal (200) to the seller terminal (100) (S2001). The first user terminal (200) may be a terminal possessed and controlled by a user who purchased the device product. The seller terminal (100) may be a terminal controlled by a company or seller that manufactures, distributes, and sells the device product. Consumers and users who purchase the device product sold by the seller may authenticate ownership by authenticating themselves using the first user terminal and request token generation linked to the purchased device. Alternatively, ownership authentication may be performed upon device purchase and token generation linked to the device may be requested. Alternatively, when a consumer purchases a device product, the manufacturer may issue and provide a token together with the device product.

[0054] Upon receiving a token generation request from the first user terminal, the seller terminal (100) can transmit a message to the secondhand transaction service server requesting the issuance of a token linked to the actual device (S2002). While consumers can make the request directly, the reason for requesting token issuance through the seller terminal is that the institution needs to verify that the seller is the actual owner of the device. If the owner can prove ownership of the product, it is also possible to request token issuance directly.

[0055] At this time, the request message can also include information such as the device's unique information, sales date, production date, etc. When issuing a token by linking the device's unique information with the token, the unique information can be mapped.

[0056] Upon receiving a token issuance request, the second-hand transaction service server (500) can generate a first smart contract and deploy it on the blockchain network (S2003). As described above, a smart contract refers to a protocol on the blockchain. Specifically, the second-hand transaction service server (500) can generate a first smart contract that issues an NFT linked to the device on the blockchain and distributes it to the wallet of the first user terminal.

[0057] In a blockchain network, a token linked to a device can be issued using the wallet held by the first user terminal according to the first smart contract (S2004). Tokens linked to a physical device can be issued in a form (address) that maps the device's unique information, such as a serial number. The purpose of mapping the device's unique information is to enable device tracking by viewing the NFT. One unique NFT is issued per device, and device management information can be stored in the block associated with the NFT.

[0058] Users can hold NFTs in the wallet of the first user terminal and share various management information generated while using the device with the second-hand transaction service server (S2005).

[0059] Management data may include information about how the user cleans, repairs, or upgrades the device. For example, if the device is a car, the owner may purchase quality engine oil, purchase hand wash products, or have the device serviced regularly at a car service center. The owner can then keep a record of these maintenance activities.

[0060] When the owner shares the record with the service server, the server can verify the shared information (S2006). The core of the present invention lies in establishing a trustworthy secondhand trading system, and thus, by verifying information through the server, the reliability of that information is enhanced.

[0061] Management data may include user management activity information, usage information, device usage count, repair history, etc.

[0062] Management data can also be transmitted directly from the device to the secondhand transaction service server (S2007). In this case, the device may be an electronic device with a communication unit. The device can record management data, such as the number of uses, and transmit this data to the secondhand transaction service server. Sharing the information recorded by the device without user intervention can further enhance reliability.

[0063] Management data can also be shared from the service center terminal to the secondhand transaction service server (S2009). A service center refers to an organization that repairs, manages, and inspects devices. The service center can conduct periodic inspections and share the data with the service server via the terminal. When a user requests device repair (S2008), the service center can perform the repair and inspection and record the failure and repair history. These records can be shared with the secondhand transaction service server.

[0064] The second-hand transaction service server can create a transaction that records management data shared from the first user terminal, device, and service center terminal in a block of an NFT linked to the device on the blockchain network.

[0065] By recording the NFT associated with a device in a block, a tamper-proof and highly reliable device management information history can be created.

[0066] A second user terminal may transmit a message requesting confirmation of the management history of a device to be purchased to a second-hand transaction service server (S2011). At this time, the second-hand transaction service server may provide an NFT viewer that allows second-hand transaction buyers to check the second-hand transaction device and the NFT containing the management data history of the device. Buyers can check the management data history of the device to be purchased through the NFT viewer. In order to provide the NFT viewer, when the second-hand transaction service server receives a data confirmation request from a second user terminal, the server generates a transaction requesting data to enable viewing of the block record of the NFT linked to the device on a blockchain network (S2012), and receives a data query result for the transaction from the blockchain network (S2013), and provides the second user terminal with a means to check the management history of the device (S2014).

[0067] Buyers can use a secondary user terminal to view used items for sale through the NFT viewer provided by the server, review management history, and make a purchase decision. When purchasing a used device, buyers can send a purchase request message to the used device transaction service server via the secondary user terminal (S2015).

[0068] The second-hand transaction service server that has received a purchase request from a buyer can transmit a purchase request message to the first user terminal (S2016).

[0069] If there is an intent to sell, the owner can sell the device through the first user terminal and transfer the NFT associated with the device to the second user terminal (S2017). At this time, the second-hand transaction service server can create a second smart contract to transfer the NFT.

[0070] Figure 3 is a configuration diagram of a used goods transaction service system and a blockchain network system according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0071] The second-hand transaction service system is a system that independently creates records for each device (300) regarding management data generated during the use of the device (300), such as manufacturing, distribution, purchase, sale, second-hand transaction, repair, and use of the device (300), and provides a service that shares such records. For example, the device (300) may include an automobile, a refrigerator, a mobile phone, a TV, or other home appliances. However, the types of devices (300) to which the embodiments of the present invention can be applied are not limited to the examples described above, and the present invention may be applied to various electronic devices having the ability to communicate with a network.

[0072] Referring to FIG. 3, the second-hand transaction service system is linked with a blockchain network system (600), thereby transmitting transaction information generated by entities participating in the second-hand transaction service to the blockchain network system (S3001), and enabling the transaction processing to be processed by nodes that are entities constituting the blockchain network system (600) (S3002).

[0073] A used goods transaction service system according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a seller terminal (100), a first user terminal (200), a device (300), a service center terminal (400), a used goods transaction service server device (500), and a second user terminal (700).

[0074] The service server device (500) is operated by an entity providing a used goods transaction service. The service server device (500) issues application accounts and blockchain accounts to users of the used goods transaction service, and stores information about the issued accounts.

[0075] Users of the second-hand transaction service may include various organizations that provide services that help end consumers use devices, such as manufacturing, distribution, and repair of devices, as well as users who purchase and actually use devices.

[0076] A user using the second-hand transaction service can access the second-hand transaction service with an application account through a terminal managed by the user (e.g., seller terminal (100), first user terminal (200), second user terminal (700), service center terminal (400)) and use various services according to the embodiment described below, and can access the blockchain network system (600) with a blockchain account and operate as a node constituting the blockchain network (600).

[0077] The seller terminal (100) may be a terminal managed by an organization that provides services that assist end consumers in using the device (300), such as device manufacturing, distribution, transaction agency, and repair. The seller terminal (100) may store an application for accessing the used goods transaction service provided by the service server device (500) and the blockchain network system (600). The seller terminal (100) may access the blockchain network system (600) and operate as a seller node.

[0078] The first user terminal (200) is a terminal managed by the actual user of the device (300), the end consumer who purchases and uses the device. The first user terminal (200) can store an application for accessing the second-hand transaction service provided by the service server device (500) and the blockchain network system (600). The first user terminal (200) can access the blockchain network system and operate as a user node.

[0079] The device (300) may be an electronic device that includes a communication unit. As described above, the device (300) may include, but is not necessarily limited to, a car, a refrigerator, a mobile phone, a TV, or other home appliances capable of communicating with a network. As described above, the device (300) may also directly transmit management data generated during the user's use of the device to the service server device (500) via the communication unit.

[0080] The service center terminal (400) may be a terminal managed by an organization that provides services to assist end consumers in maintaining and using the device (300) by repairing and inspecting the device (300). The service center terminal (400) may store an application for accessing the used goods transaction service provided by the service server device (500) and the blockchain network system (600). The service center terminal (400) may access the blockchain network system (600) and operate as a service center node.

[0081] The second user terminal (700) may be a terminal managed by a buyer willing to purchase a used device through a second-hand transaction service. The second user terminal (700) may store an application for accessing the second-hand transaction service provided by the service server device (500) and the blockchain network system (600). The second user terminal (200) may also access the blockchain network system (600) and operate as a user node.

[0082] The seller terminal (100), the first user terminal (200), the service center terminal (400), the used goods transaction service server device (500), and the second user terminal (700) may be implemented as various types of devices capable of transmitting and receiving information through a network. For example, they may include portable communication devices, smart phones, computer devices, portable multimedia devices, laptops, tablet PCs, etc. In addition, the seller terminal (100), the first user terminal (200), the service center terminal (400), the used goods transaction service server device (500), and the second user terminal (700) may be connected to operate through a communication network and transmit and receive information. For example, the communication network may include wired and wireless communication networks such as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a virtual network, and remote communication.

[0083] Figure 4 is a diagram for explaining the linkage between NFT and real assets according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0084] Users can own individual NFTs for each device in their wallet.

[0085] A user may have an NFT associated with each device. For example, the first device (301) may be a car. An NFT (601) associated with the first device may be issued. At this time, relevant data may be stored by registering the physical authentication of the first device (301) on the NFT (601) block.

[0086] A user can also issue an NFT for a second device (302). There is no limit to the number of NFTs a user can possess, and each device is associated with one NFT mapped to its unique information. The second device may be, for example, an appliance such as a refrigerator. The second device may be associated with a second NFT (602). Similarly, information about the device can be stored through physical authentication registration (S4002).

[0087] Figure 5 is an example diagram illustrating a method for sharing real-world history data to NFTs linked to real-world assets.

[0088] Device users can record device management data on social media, etc. (S5001). This device management data may include the user's regular checkup history. Users can share the recorded device management data on NFTs via the first user terminal (S5002).

[0089] The user can access the blockchain account associated with the device management from the electronic wallet stored on the first user terminal (S5003). Once the user completes authentication to access the blockchain account, the connection is completed (S5004). Once connected, the user can check the list of NFTs associated with their device (S5005). The user can update the management data they wish to share by selecting the NFT associated with the device (S5006).

[0090] FIG. 6 is an exemplary diagram of an NFT viewer provided by a used goods transaction service server according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0091] Users can check each NFT they own through the NFT viewer provided by the second-hand transaction service server (S6001). Not only users, but also buyers who wish to purchase items can check the management data history recorded in the NFT of the device they wish to purchase through the NFT viewer provided by the second-hand transaction service. When selecting an NFT for which information is desired in the NFT viewer, the NFT history viewer allows users to view the management data history of the device recorded in the block of the NFT associated with the device (S6002). The device's management data may be stored as a link, and the link allows access to the device's management data uploaded to social media (S6003).

[0092] Figure 7 is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of a used goods transaction service server device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0093] Referring to FIG. 7, a second-hand transaction service server device (hereinafter referred to as service server device (500)) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one memory (501), a processor (502), an input / output interface (503), and a transceiver (504). However, the configuration of the service server device (500) is not limited and may additionally include or omit additional components.

[0094] The memory may include an application DB, a subscriber information DB, and a command DB.

[0095] The application database (DB) may store a software program that provides a used goods transaction service according to an embodiment of the present invention. The software program may include an interface for controlling the used goods transaction service and the blockchain network system (600).

[0096] The application DB can store detailed information about the device (300). For example, detailed information about a part can include information about material, weight, purpose, manufacturer, year of production, brand of each part, category, model year, operating method, color, material, model name, size, and price.

[0097] The subscriber information database can store the institution / user's subscription information for the second-hand transaction service, the institution / user's blockchain account information, and information transmitted and received from the institution / user's terminal. For example, the institution's subscriber information may include information submitted by the institution to verify that the institution provides services that assist end consumers in using mobile devices, such as manufacturing, distribution, repair, and trading of devices (300). For example, the user's subscriber information may include information about the user submitted by the user who owns the mobile device to authenticate the device. For example, the blockchain account information may include information (e.g., public key, token information) that identifies the blockchain account mapped to each subscriber's information.

[0098] The instruction database can store instructions that can cause the processor to perform operations. For example, the instruction database can store computer code that causes the processor to perform operations corresponding to the operations described below.

[0099] The processor (502) controls the overall operation of the service server (500). The processor (502) may implement a control module, a contract module, and a compensation module. The processor (502) may execute instructions stored in the memory (501) to drive the control module, the contract module, and the compensation module.

[0100] The control module can control the overall operation of the processor. It can analyze information received from the seller terminal (100) and the first and second user terminals (200, 700). The control module can perform a predetermined operation depending on the type of information received. The control module can transmit the calculated information externally or, based on the calculated information, generate a specific transaction in the blockchain network system (600).

[0101] The contract module can control the overall operation related to the blockchain network system (600). The contract module can determine the protocol to be distributed to the blockchain network system (600). For example, the contract module can create and distribute a smart contract that has rules regarding the issuance, issuance amount, incineration amount of tokens, the amount of tokens to be added or incinerated when certain conditions are met, conditions under which tokens can be transferred, information that must be included in a transaction to activate the smart contract, and an entity that can activate the smart contract. Nodes participating in the blockchain network system (600) can activate the smart contract by transmitting a transaction that satisfies certain conditions according to the rules set in the smart contract.

[0102] The reward module can perform overall operations related to currency transfers or rewards. The term "currency," used without modifiers in the embodiments of the present invention, can include physical currency, digitally expressed account balances in bank accounts, cryptocurrencies, and tokens, as a general means of exchange for facilitating the exchange and circulation of goods. For example, the reward module can verify the history of cryptocurrency or token transfers between nodes recorded on the blockchain, as well as the history of transfers to actual bank accounts.

[0103] The operations performed by the above-described control module, contract module, and compensation module can be understood as operations performed by the processor (502).

[0104] The input / output interface (503) may include a hardware interface or software interface that allows an administrator controlling the service server device (500) to input specific information or output specific information to the administrator.

[0105] The communication interface (504) enables the transmission and reception of information between components included in the second-hand transaction service system and the blockchain network system (600). To this end, the communication interface (504) may include a wireless communication module or a wired communication module.

[0106] It is assumed that the operations performed by the blockchain network (600) as a subject are performed within the blockchain network system (600) from the creation of transactions to verification, recording, and compensation by a full node group.

[0107] However, the method of distributing, verifying, and recording transactions among nodes is not limited to the examples described above, and various methods can be applied.

[0108] It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit and essential characteristics of the present invention.

[0109] The above detailed description should not be construed as limiting in any respect and should be considered illustrative only. The scope of the present invention should be determined by a reasonable interpretation of the appended claims, and all modifications within the equivalent scope of the present invention are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.
