At this time, the first electrode terminal (1220) joined to the first sub-plate (1230) can be inserted through the opening.

[0105] The third insulating member (1250) is formed between the first sub-plate (1230) and the cap plate (1100), so as to separate the first sub-plate (1230) from the cap plate (1100).

[0106] FIG. 9 is a drawing showing a method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 10 is a drawing showing a step of preparing a first electrode terminal in step (c) of FIG. 9.

[0107] A method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to one embodiment of the present invention may include, as illustrated in FIG. 9, (a) a step of preparing a cap plate (1100) having a first receiving hole (1110) formed therein, (b) a step of forming a first insulating portion (1240) having a first through-hole (1242) between a first terminal plate (1210) and a cap plate (1100), (c) a step of preparing a first electrode terminal (1220) formed by stacking a first material and a second material, (d) a step of joining a first sub-plate (1230) formed of a second material to a lower portion of the first electrode terminal (1220), and (e) a step of joining the first terminal plate (1230) to an upper portion of the first electrode terminal (1220) by inserting it into the first through-hole (1242).

[0108] Specifically, the step (a) is a step of preparing a cap plate (1100) that is formed to cover the upper portion of the housing (3000) and has a first receiving hole (1110) formed at least partially through the housing so that the inside and the outside of the housing (3000) are connected.

[0109] In the above step (a), a first receiving hole (1110) can be formed by penetrating the cap plate (1100) so as to connect the lower and upper parts of the cap plate (1100).

[0110] In the above step (a), a first support hole (1120) can be formed by vertically penetrating at least a portion of the cap plate (1100).

[0111] In the above step (a), an electrolyte injection port, a vent hole, a terminal hole, etc. can be formed in the cap plate (1100), and after the electrolyte is injected, a sealing plug (not shown) for sealing the electrolyte injection port can be prepared.

[0112] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the step (b) is a step of installing a first terminal plate (1210) formed of a first material and installed on the upper portion of the cap plate (1100) so as to be connected to a bus bar from the outside of the housing (3000), on the upper portion of the cap plate (1100), while spacing the first terminal plate (1210) and the cap plate (1100) apart, and forming a first insulating portion (1240) having a first through hole (1242) penetrating from the upper portion to the lower portion.

[0113] Specifically, in the step (b) above, the cap plate (1100) and the first terminal plate (1210) may be insert-molded to form the first insulating portion (1240) between the cap plate (1100) and the first terminal plate (1210).

[0114] Fig. 14 is a perspective view showing a step of forming the first insulating part in step (b).

[0115] As illustrated in FIG. 14, a first insulating portion (1240) can be formed by injecting a molten material around the first receiving hole (1110) of the cap plate (1100) and between the cap plate (1100) and the first terminal plate (1210) in a mold to which the cap plate (1100) and the first terminal plate (1210) are fixed.

[0116] In the above step (b), a first insulating portion (1240) can be formed that includes a fixing groove portion having a shape surrounding a protrusion formed around the first terminal plate (1210) so that the first terminal plate (1210) can be fixed to the first insulating portion (1240).

[0117] In the above step (b), at least a portion of the first insulating portion (1240) may be formed on the inside of the first receiving hole (1110) so that the inner surface of the first receiving hole (1110) is blocked from the outside.

[0118] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the step (c) is a step of preparing a first electrode terminal (1220) formed by stacking a first material and a second material different from the first material in the width or length direction of the cap plate (1100).

[0119] Specifically, the step (c) may include, as shown in FIG. 10, (c-1) a step of preparing a core material portion (1221-1), (c-2) a step of joining the periphery of the core material portion (1221-1) with a clad portion (1222), and (c-3) a step of forming a first electrode terminal (1220).

[0120] FIG. 15 and FIG. 16 are drawings showing the formation of the first electrode terminal (1220) in the above step (c-1), the above step (c-2), and the above step (c-3).

[0121] In the above step (c-1), a core material portion (1221-1) formed of a first material and extended to a predetermined length in the longitudinal direction can be prepared so as to be joined to a first terminal plate (1210).

[0122] The above core material portion (1221-1) can be formed of the first material, such as aluminum or an aluminum alloy. At this time, the core material portion (1221-1) is illustrated as a circle in Fig. 15, but may have various shapes other than a circle, such as an oval or a square.

[0123] The above step (c-2) is a step of wrapping the perimeter of the core material part (1221-1) with a clad part (1222) formed of a second material so that it can be joined to the first sub-plate (1230).

[0124] Specifically, the above step (c-2) is a step in which the clad portion (1222) surrounds the core portion (1221) in a direction perpendicular to the axis, and the mutual tissue of the contact surfaces of the clad portion (1222) and the core portion (1221) is destroyed, combined, and stabilized to combine the contact surfaces with each other.

[0125] The above step (c-3) is a step of forming a first electrode terminal (1220) by cutting the core material portion (1221-1) wrapped with the clad portion (1222) in a direction perpendicular to the length direction, as illustrated in FIG. 15.

[0126] Thus, as shown in Fig. 16, a first electrode terminal (1220) can be formed with the longitudinally cut surface as the upper and lower surfaces.

[0127] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the step (d) is a step of joining the lower portion of the first electrode terminal (1220) to the first sub-plate (1230) formed of the second material and formed to conduct electricity with the first electrode terminal (1220).

[0128] Figure 18 is a drawing showing the first sub-plate (1230) and the first electrode terminal (1220) being joined in step (d).

[0129] As illustrated in FIG. 18, in the step (d), the first electrode terminal (1220) can be bonded to the upper surface of the first sub-plate (1230), for example, by direct bonding.

[0130] In the above step (d), the first sub-plate (1230) is joined to the first electrode terminal (1220), so that current flows from the first sub-plate (1230) to both the core portion (1221) and the clad portion (1222). At this time, since the resistance value is low at the joining surface between the first sub-plate (1230) and the clad portion (1222) formed of a material having the same main component, current can flow better.

[0131] In addition, the cladding portion (1222) and the first sub-plate (1230) are formed of a material with the same main component and can be joined by various methods such as physical / chemical bonding and welding.

[0132] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the step (e) is a step of bonding the first terminal plate (1210) to the upper portion of the first electrode terminal (1220).

[0133] Figure 20 is a drawing showing the first electrode terminal and the first terminal plate being joined in step (e).

[0134] As illustrated in FIG. 20, in the step (e), the first electrode terminal (1220) is inserted into the first through hole (1242) so that the first terminal plate (1210) can be electrically connected from the electrode assembly (2000) inside the housing (3000), and the first terminal plate (1210) can be joined to the upper portion of the first electrode terminal (1220).

[0135] In the above step (e), the core portion (1221) may be welded to the area formed on the upper portion of the first terminal plate (1210), and preferably, may be welded by laser welding. At this time, the first terminal plate (1210) and the core portion (1221) may be formed of a material with the same main component, so that they may be easily joined.

[0136] FIG. 13 is a drawing showing a method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 21 is a drawing showing the third insulating part being joined in step (f).

[0137] A method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to another embodiment of the present invention may include, as illustrated in FIG. 13, a step of (f) bonding a third insulating member (1250) prior to step (e).

[0138] As illustrated in FIG. 21, the step (f) is a step of supporting the first sub-plate (1230) by joining the third insulating member (1250) to the upper portion of the first sub-plate (1230).

[0139] Specifically, in the step (f) above, a cap plate (1100) may be installed by being coupled to the upper surface of the third insulating portion (1250), and a first sub-plate (1230) may be coupled to the lower surface of the third insulating portion (1250). At this time, a first electrode terminal (1220) bonded to the first sub-plate (1230) may be inserted through an opening formed by penetrating at least a portion of the third insulating portion (1250).

[0140] That is, the above step (f) is a step of combining a third insulating member (1250) between the first sub-plate (1230) and the cap plate (1100), thereby separating the first sub-plate (1230) from the cap plate (1100) and fixing the first sub-plate (1230) to the third insulating member (1250).

[0141] FIG. 11 and FIG. 12 are drawings showing various embodiments of a step of preparing a first electrode terminal in step (c) of FIG. 9, FIG. 17 are drawings showing various embodiments of forming a first electrode terminal in step (c), and FIG. 19 are drawings showing the first subplate and the first electrode terminal being joined in step (d).

[0142] In a method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to another embodiment of the present invention, the step (c) may include, as illustrated in FIG. 11, (c-1) preparing a core material portion (1221-1), (c-2) joining the clad portion (1222) to wrap the periphery of the core material portion (1221-1), (c-4) cutting the core material portion (1221-1) wrapped with the clad portion (1222) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and (c-5) joining a flat base portion (1223) to the lower portion of the cut core material portion (1221-1) and the clad portion (1222) to form a first electrode terminal (1220).

[0143] The above steps (c-1) and (c-2) are the same as described above.

[0144] The above step (c-5) is a step of preparing a base part (1223) and joining the core material part (1221-1) and clad part (1222) cut in the above step (c-4) to the base part (1223).

[0145] Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 17, the step (c-5) is a step in which the base portion (1223) and the clad portion (1222) are joined by welding at least a portion of the circumference of the clad portion (1222) on the upper portion of the base portion (1223).

[0146] For example, in the above step (c-5), the upper surface of the base portion (1223) and the side perimeter of the clad portion (1222) can be welded and joined.

[0147] At this time, in the step (d), as shown in FIG. 19, the first sub-plate (1230) can be joined to the base portion (1223) by welding, and preferably, by laser welding.

[0148] In addition, in the method for manufacturing a cap plate assembly according to another embodiment of the present invention, the step (c) may include, as illustrated in FIG. 12, a step of (c-6) preparing a core portion (1221) formed of a first material so as to be joined to a first terminal plate (1210), and a step of (c-7) forming a first electrode terminal (1220) by joining a clad portion (1222) formed of a second material so as to be joined to a first sub-plate (1230) to at least a portion of the outer surface of the core portion (1221).

[0149] For example, in the step (c-6) above, a core part (1221) is prepared, and in the step (c-7) above, a clad part (1222) is laminated around the core part (1221) to individually form a first electrode terminal (1220).

[0150] FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view showing a battery cell according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 8 is an exploded perspective view showing a cap plate assembly of the battery cell of FIG. 7.

[0157] The first terminal plate (1210) may be formed of the first material and installed on the upper portion of the cap plate (1100) so as to be connected to the bus bar from the outside of the housing (3000).

[0158] The first insulating portion (1240) may be formed with a first terminal mounting portion (1241) on which a first terminal plate (1240) is mounted on the upper portion, a first through hole (1242) is formed inside the first receiving hole (1110), and may be formed to separate the first terminal plate (1240) and the cap plate (1100).

[0159] The first electrode terminal (1220) is formed by laminating a first material and a second material different from the first material in the width or length direction of the cap plate (1100), and can be inserted into and joined to the first through hole (1242) so as to conduct current from the inside of the housing (3000) to the first terminal plate (1210).

[0160] At this time, the first electrode terminal (1220) may include a core portion (1221) formed of a first material and having an upper surface joined to the first terminal plate (1210) and a clad portion (1222) formed of a second material and formed to surround the outer surface of the core portion (1221) and having a lower surface joined to the first sub-plate (1230).

[0163] The cap plate assembly (1000) may include a second electrode portion (1300) that is installed in an insulated state in a second through hole (1342) formed in the cap plate (1100) and connected to a second electrode (2300).

[0164] As illustrated in FIG. 8, the second electrode portion (1300) may include a second terminal plate (1310), a second insulating portion (1340), a second electrode terminal (1320), and a second sub-plate (1330).

[0165] The second terminal plate (1310) may be formed of the first material and installed to be seated on the upper portion of the cap plate (1100) so as to be connected to the bus bar.

[0166] The upper surface of the second terminal plate (1310) can be formed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the bus bar so that it can be combined with the bus bar, and can be surface-treated so as to increase the current-carrying efficiency when in contact with the bus bar.

[0167] A protrusion may be formed on the side of the second terminal plate (1310). The protrusion may be formed along the perimeter of the second terminal plate (1310) and may be formed as a protruding portion with a lower portion protruding than an upper portion of the side of the second terminal plate (1310).

[0168] The second terminal plate (1310) may be formed of a first material, and the first material may include aluminum, an aluminum alloy, or the like.

[0169] The second insulating portion (1340) may have a second terminal mounting portion (1341) formed thereon, on which the second terminal plate (1310) is mounted.

[0171] The above fixed groove portion can be formed in a shape corresponding to the protrusion portion at a position corresponding to the circumference of the second terminal plate (1310) in the second insulating portion (1340).

[0172] The second insulating portion (1340) may be formed at least partially on the upper portion of the cap plate (1100), and a second terminal mounting portion (1341) may be formed on the opposite surface that contacts the cap plate (1100), thereby separating the second terminal plate (1310) and the cap plate (1100).

[0173] The second insulating portion (1340) may have a second through hole (1342) formed inside the second receiving hole (1130). Specifically, at least a portion of the second insulating portion (1340) may be formed on the inside of the second receiving hole (1130), such that the inner surface of the second receiving hole (1130) is blocked from the outside.

[0174] At this time, the second receiving hole (1130) is not filled with the second insulating portion (1340), and a second through hole (1342) smaller than the second receiving hole (1130) is formed inside the second receiving hole (1130), and at least a portion of the second electrode portion (1300) can be inserted through the second through hole (1342).

[0175] The second receiving hole (1130) can be formed by penetrating through a hole of various shapes such as circular, oval, and square.

[0176] The second insulating portion (1340) may be formed to surround the second receiving hole (1130) of the cap plate (1100) and may be formed to secure the second terminal plate (1310).

[0177] Specifically, the second insulating portion (1340) can be formed by insert injection with the cap plate (1100) and the second terminal plate (1310).

[0178] That is, in a mold in which the cap plate (1100) and the second terminal plate (1310) are fixed, a molten material can be injected around the second receiving hole (1130) of the cap plate (1100) and between the cap plate (1100) and the second terminal plate (1310) to form a second insulating portion (1340).

[0179] At this time, the second insulating part (1340) may include a conductive polymer resin.

[0180] The second insulating portion (1340) is insert-molded between the cap plate (1100) and the second terminal plate (1310), so that the cap plate (1100), the second insulating portion (1340), and the second terminal plate (1310) can be easily joined without performing individual assembly processes.

[0181] In addition, the second terminal plate (1310) and the second insulation part (1340) can be easily fixed, and the space between the second terminal plate (1310) and the second insulation part (1340) can be sealed without sealing such as a gasket.

[0182] The second sub-plate (1330) is formed of the first material and is connected to the second electrode terminal (1320) so as to conduct electricity, and can be connected to the lower portion of the second electrode terminal (1320). For example, the second sub-plate (1330) is formed in a flat shape, one side of which is joined to the second electrode terminal (1320), and the other side of which is joined to a tab portion inside the housing, so that electricity can be conducted from the tab portion to the second electrode terminal (1320).

[0183] The second electrode terminal (1320) can be connected by inserting a terminal portion formed of the first material into the second through hole (1342) so that current can be transmitted from the inside of the housing (3000) to the second terminal plate (1310).

[0184] The second electrode terminal (1320) is formed of a first material including aluminum, an aluminum alloy, or the like, and can be formed as a single body. Thus, the second sub-plate (1330), the second electrode terminal (1320), and the second terminal plate (1310) are formed of the same material as the main component, thereby increasing power transmission efficiency.

[0185] While the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, these are merely exemplary, and those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible. Therefore, the true scope of technical protection of the present invention should be determined by the technical spirit of the appended claims.
