AI Technical Summary
Existing shorts with pelvic floor feedback devices struggle to accurately measure myoelectric potential due to inadequate adhesion of sensor electrodes to the anal sphincter area.
The design incorporates a short body with a band-shaped member that is fixed to the shorts body by first and second fixing parts, featuring electrodes exposed inside the crotch portion, and an output mechanism to detect and output the myoelectric potential. The band-shaped member is pressed from the buttocks or crotch, enhancing the adhesion of the shorts to the body and ensuring the electrodes are in close contact with the perineum.
This configuration improves the adhesion of the shorts to the body, reduces noise in myoelectric potential measurements, and allows for more convenient and hygienic monitoring of pelvic floor muscles without the need for inserting devices into the body.

Abstract
Description
shorts
[0001] The present disclosure relates to shorts.
[0002] US Patent Application Publication No. 2022 / 0007992 A1 discloses a shorts-shaped garment equipped with a device for pelvic floor feedback.
[0003] In the technology disclosed in U.S. Patent Application Publication No. 2022 / 0007992(A1), a sensor electrode is attached to a garment at a position that contacts the wearer's anal sphincter. Here, in shorts-shaped garments equipped with such electrodes, the electrodes are required to accurately measure myoelectric potentials. The accuracy of measuring myoelectric potentials is improved by the electrodes being in close contact with the measurement portion.
[0004] In consideration of the above, the present disclosure provides shorts for measuring myoelectric potentials of the pelvic floor muscles, which allow electrodes to easily come into close contact with the measurement parts.
[0005] The first embodiment of the shorts comprises a shorts body, a band-shaped member extending from the front to the rear of the shorts body inside the shorts body and fixed to the shorts body with a first fixing portion at the front and a second fixing portion at the rear, an electrode fixed and exposed to the shorts body or the band-shaped member on the inside of the crotch, and an output mechanism that outputs the wearer's myoelectric potential detected by the electrode, wherein the length between the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion on the band-shaped member is shorter than the length between the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion on the shorts body.
[0006] In the shorts of the first aspect, a belt-shaped member is fixed to the shorts main body by a first fastening portion and a second fastening portion. The length between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion of the belt-shaped member is shorter than the length between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion of the shorts main body. Therefore, when a wearer puts on the shorts, the belt-shaped member is pressed against the wearer's buttocks and crotch. This causes the shorts main body outside the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion to be pulled toward the belt-shaped member. This improves the fit of the shorts main body to the body.
[0007] The electrodes are fixed to the shorts body or the belt-shaped member in an exposed state inside the crotch area. When the electrodes are fixed to the shorts body, the shorts body adheres better to the body, and the electrodes are more closely attached to the body. On the other hand, when the electrodes are fixed to the belt-shaped member, the electrodes are more closely attached to the body as the belt-shaped member is pressed against the wearer's buttocks or crotch.
[0008] The pelvic floor muscles include the levator ani, external urethral sphincter, transverse perineal muscle, and coccygeus muscle. To measure the myoelectric potential of the pelvic floor muscles, it is sufficient to measure at least one of these muscles. To measure the myoelectric potential of the pelvic floor muscles, it is preferable to measure the perineal muscles. This is because the measurement can be performed from outside the wearer's body (perineum). Thus, in this embodiment, the electrodes are more easily attached to the wearer's perineum, which serves as the measurement site, compared to when a belt-shaped member is not used. The electrodes' close contact with the perineum reduces noise during myoelectric potential measurement, facilitating stable myoelectric potential measurement. This eliminates the need to insert a device to monitor pelvic floor muscle movement into the body, such as the vagina. This allows for easier measurement than methods that involve insertion into the body, and is also more hygienic.
[0009] In the shorts of a second aspect, in the shorts according to the first aspect, the belt-shaped member is fixed to the shorts main body only by the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion.
[0010] In the shorts of the second aspect, the belt-shaped member is not fixed to the shorts body at any point other than the first and second fixing portions. Therefore, there are fewer fixing points compared to when the belt-shaped member is fixed at three or more points. Therefore, the belt-shaped member is more likely to deform when pressed by the body. This increases the effect of pulling the shorts body together.
[0011] The shorts of a third aspect are the shorts of the first aspect, wherein the electrode is provided in the crotch portion of the shorts body, and the first fixing portion is arranged behind the electrode.
[0012] In the shorts of the third aspect, the electrode is provided in the crotch region of the shorts body, and the first fixing part is located behind the electrode. Therefore, when the wearer puts on the shorts, the shorts body and the electrode in the crotch region are pulled toward the band-shaped member pressed by the buttocks.
[0013] This allows the electrodes to be easily attached to the perineum simply by putting on the shorts, eliminating the need for the wearer to check whether the electrodes are in the correct position each time they take a measurement.
[0014] Furthermore, by providing the electrodes on the shorts body, the output mechanism and electrodes can be formed integrally on the shorts body, which makes manufacturing the shorts easier than when, for example, the electrodes are provided on a belt-shaped member and the output mechanism is provided on the shorts body.
[0015] The shorts of a fourth aspect are the shorts described in the third aspect, wherein the shorts body comprises an outer fabric and an inner fabric, the outer fabric having a front body, a back body, and a gusset connecting the front body and the back body at the crotch, the inner fabric is positioned to cover the inside of the front body and the gusset and fixes the electrode, and the first fixing part is positioned at the connecting part between the back body and the gusset.
[0016] In the shorts of the fourth aspect, the shorts body has a double structure with an outer fabric and an inner fabric, and the outer fabric has a front body, a back body, and a gusset that connects the front and back bodies at the crotch area, so that the outer fabric provides the function of wearing the shorts as underwear.
[0017] On the other hand, the electrodes are arranged in the inner fabric that covers the inside of the front body and the gusset. Therefore, for example, when the electrodes and the output mechanism are integrally formed, the inner fabric can be formed with the electrodes arranged in the crotch gusset and the output mechanism arranged in the front body. This makes it less likely to affect the comfort of the shorts compared to a configuration in which the output mechanism is arranged in the crotch. Furthermore, by sewing the inner fabric to which the electrodes and output mechanism are previously fixed to the outer fabric, the electrodes and output mechanism can be easily formed on the shorts.
[0018] The shorts of the fifth aspect are the shorts described in the first aspect, wherein the shorts body comprises an outer fabric and an inner fabric, the outer fabric having a front body, a back body, and a gusset connecting the front body and the back body at the crotch, the inner fabric is positioned to cover the inside of the front body and the gusset and fixes the electrode, the front portion of the belt-shaped member is positioned between the inner fabric and the outer fabric, and the first fixing part is positioned at the connection between the front body and the gusset.
[0019] In the fifth embodiment, the shorts have a double-layered structure with an outer fabric and an inner fabric. The outer fabric has a front body, a back body, and a gusset that connects the front and back bodies at the crotch. This allows the outer fabric to provide the shorts with the functionality required for wearing them as underwear.
[0020] On the other hand, the electrodes are arranged in the inner fabric that covers the inside of the front body and the gusset. Therefore, for example, when forming the electrodes and the output mechanism integrally, the inner fabric can be formed with the electrodes arranged in the crotch gusset and the output mechanism arranged in the front body. This does not affect the comfort of the shorts as much as a configuration in which the output mechanism is arranged in the crotch. Furthermore, by sewing this inner fabric to the outer fabric, the electrodes and output mechanism can be easily formed on the shorts.
[0021] In addition, in these shorts, the electrodes, inner fabric, belt-shaped member, and gusset are arranged in this order from the wearer's side in the crotch area. Therefore, when the belt-shaped member is pressed against the wearer's crotch, the reaction force from the belt-shaped member presses the electrodes against the body via the inner fabric. This makes it easier for the electrodes to fit closely to the perineum.
[0022] The shorts of a sixth aspect are the shorts of the first aspect, wherein the belt-shaped member is provided across the crotch portion, and the electrodes are provided on the belt-shaped member.
[0023] In the shorts of the sixth aspect, the belt-shaped member is provided across the crotch area. Therefore, when the wearer puts on the shorts, the belt-shaped member and the electrodes are pressed against the wearer's crotch. This makes it easy for the electrodes to fit tightly against the perineal area simply by putting on the shorts. Therefore, the wearer does not need to check whether the electrodes are in the appropriate position every time they take a measurement.
[0024] Furthermore, compared to when electrodes are provided on the shorts body that is pulled in by the belt-shaped member, the reaction force from the belt-shaped member pressed against the crotch region makes it easier for the electrodes to adhere to the perineum.
[0025] The shorts of a seventh aspect are the shorts according to the first aspect, wherein the second fixing part is arranged on the waist part of the shorts main body.
[0026] In the shorts of the seventh aspect, the second fixing part is located on the waist part of the shorts main body, so that tension can be applied to the belt-shaped member from a high position when the belt-shaped member is pressed, which makes it easier for the electrode to come into close contact with the perineum when worn compared to when the second fixing part is located in front (below) of the waist part.
[0027] The shorts of an eighth aspect are the shorts of the first aspect, wherein the shorts main body is provided with an elastic portion that biases the shorts main body in a direction that contracts the shorts main body in the front-to-rear direction along the belt-shaped member.
[0028] In the shorts of the eighth aspect, the shorts main body is provided with a stretchable portion that urges the shorts main body in a direction that shrinks the shorts main body in the front-to-back direction along the belt-shaped member. This allows the shorts main body to easily deform along the wearer's body. Furthermore, when the stretchable portion is held in a stretched state, the force of the shorts main body shrinking attracts the electrodes to the belt-shaped member. This improves the adhesion of the electrodes compared to a configuration without a stretchable portion.
[0029] The shorts of a ninth aspect are the shorts according to the first aspect, wherein the planar area of the electrode is 100 mm 2 More than 2000mm 2 The following is the result.
[0030] In the shorts of the ninth aspect, the planar area of the electrode is 100 mm 2 That's all. 2 Compared to when the electrode is less than 100 mm, it is easier for the electrode to come into contact with the perineum, and fluctuations in the measurement results can be reduced.
[0031] In addition, in these shorts, the planar area of the electrode is 2000 mm 2 Therefore, 2000 mm 2Compared to when the electrode is larger, it is less likely that the myoelectric potential of areas other than the perineum will be included in the measurement results. In addition, adhesion is improved, and the cost of the electrodes can be reduced.
[0032] The shorts of a tenth aspect are the shorts according to the first aspect, wherein the electrodes have a stretchable conductor layer containing a conductive filler and a flexible resin.
[0033] In the shorts of the tenth aspect, the electrodes have a stretchable conductor layer, which allows the electrodes to easily stretch in unison with the stretching of the shorts body or the belt-shaped member, making them less comfortable to wear.
[0034] The shorts of an eleventh aspect are the shorts described in the first aspect, wherein the electrode is a laminate in which a first stretchable conductor layer and a second stretchable conductor layer are stacked in the thickness direction, the first stretchable conductor layer contains carbon-based particles, and the second stretchable conductor layer contains metal-based particles, and the first stretchable conductor layer is provided on the inside.
[0035] The electrode in the shorts of the eleventh aspect has a first elastic conductor layer containing carbon-based particles on the inside. This prevents metal from coming into contact with the wearer's skin, making it less likely to cause allergic reactions. The electrode also has a second elastic conductor layer containing metal-based particles. This provides higher conductivity and makes it easier to detect myoelectric potentials compared to when only the first elastic conductor layer is used.
[0036] The shorts of a twelfth aspect are the shorts described in the first aspect, wherein the output mechanism has wiring electrically connected to the electrodes and a connector connected to the wiring and to which a detachable electronic unit can be connected.
[0037] In the shorts of the twelfth aspect, the output mechanism has wiring and a connector. A detachable electronic unit can be connected to this connector. This allows the myoelectric potential measured by the electrodes to be recorded in the electronic unit or wirelessly transmitted via the electronic unit.
[0038] The shorts of a thirteenth aspect are the shorts according to the first aspect, wherein the binder width at the leg openings of the shorts body is 1 cm or more.
[0039] In the shorts of the thirteenth aspect, the binder width at the leg openings is 1 cm or more. This makes the openings less likely to twist than when the binder width is less than 1 cm. This makes it possible to prevent the electrodes from shifting due to twisting at the openings.
[0040] By using the shorts of the present disclosure, the electrodes can be easily attached to the measurement area, allowing for more accurate measurement of the myoelectric potential of the pelvic floor muscles.

[0042] Hereinafter, shorts according to an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. Components indicated by the same reference numerals in the various drawings are the same components. However, unless otherwise specified in the specification, each component is not limited to one, and may be present in multiple numbers.
[0043] Furthermore, descriptions of overlapping configurations and symbols in each drawing may be omitted. Note that the present disclosure is not limited to the following embodiments, and may be implemented by making appropriate modifications, such as omitting configurations, replacing them with different configurations, or combining one embodiment with various modified examples, within the scope of the purpose of the present disclosure.
[0044] 1A and 1B show shorts 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The shorts 10 are, for example, underwear worn during pelvic floor muscle training. The shorts 10 are, for example, clothing that allows the wearer to monitor the movement of their pelvic floor muscles while training. The shorts 10 are configured to include an outer fabric 12, an inner fabric 14, a belt-shaped member 16, and an input / output device 18. In this specification, the outer fabric 12 and the inner fabric 14 may be collectively referred to as the shorts body.
[0045] (Outer Fabric) The outer fabric 12 is a garment that shapes the shorts 10 so that they can be worn, and is formed by sewing together the front body 20, the back body 22, the gusset 24, and the binder 26. The front body 20, the back body 22, the gusset 24, and the binder 26 are formed of stretchable fabric.
[0046] The front body 20 is fabric that is positioned in front of the wearer when the garment is worn. On the other hand, the back body 22 is fabric that is positioned behind the wearer when the garment is worn. The gusset 24 is fabric that connects the front body 20 and the back body 22 in the front-to-back direction. The gusset 24 is sewn to both the front body 20 and the back body 22 (seamed portions S1 and S2) and is positioned opposite the wearer's crotch, including the perineum, when the garment is worn.
[0047] The front body 20 and the back body 22 are sewn together in the vertical direction at the front side when the garment is worn (seamed portion S4). Two openings V1 are formed in the area surrounded by the front body 20, the back body 22, and the gusset 24. The openings V1 are portions through which the wearer's legs are inserted.
[0048] The binder 26 is a piece of fabric that surrounds the opening V1 and is sewn to the front body 20, the back body 22, and the gusset 24 (seamed portion S5). The width W1 of the binder 26 (binder width) is not particularly limited, but is preferably 1 cm or more, for example. As another example, it is preferable that the binder width W1 be 10 cm or less.
[0049] An opening V2 through which the wearer's torso is inserted is formed in the area surrounded by the front body 20 and the back body 22. Gathers G1 are formed in the horizontal direction in this waist area. The gathers G1 are formed by twisting fabric together using stretchy twisted yarn or the like, and bias the front body 20 and the back body 22 in a direction that shrinks them horizontally.
[0050] 1B and 3, gathers G2 are formed on the back body 22. The gathers G2 are formed from the rear end to the center of the back body 22. Furthermore, gathers G3 are formed from the center of the back body 22 to the gusset 24.
[0051] Gathers G2 and G3 are arranged on the same straight line along a belt-shaped member 16 (described later) on the surfaces of the back body 22 and the gusset 24. Gathers G2 and G3 also bias the back body 22 and the gusset 24 in a direction that shrinks them in the front-to-back direction. Gathers G3 have a greater biasing force that biases the fabric in a direction that shrinks them in the front-to-back direction than gathers G2.
[0052] In this specification, the "front-to-back direction" refers to the curved direction from the wearer's waist to their buttocks and crotch toward their navel when the shorts 10 are worn. The terms "front direction," "front side," "rear direction," and "rear side" refer to directions along this curved direction. For example, "front of the crotch" refers to the part closer to the navel than the crotch in this curved direction. Furthermore, "rear of the crotch" refers to the part closer to the waist than the crotch. The direction indicated by the arrows in Figures 2 to 6A, "F," indicates the front direction, and "R" indicates the rear direction.
[0053] Figure 2 shows the shorts 10 unfolded at the seam S4 shown in Figure 1A. This figure shows the inner portion of the shorts 10 that comes into contact with the wearer's skin when worn. As shown in this figure, a belt-shaped member 16, which will be described later, is fixed to the back body 22. For ease of explanation, the seam S4 is indicated by a reference numeral in Figure 2.
[0054] (Inner Fabric) An inner fabric 14 is disposed inside the shorts 10. The inner fabric 14 is formed from a stretchable fabric.
[0055] The inner fabric 14 is disposed so as to cover the inside of the front body 20 and the gusset 24 of the outer fabric 12. An input / output device 18, which will be described later, is fixed to the inner fabric 14.
[0056] (Strip-shaped member) The strip-shaped member 16 is arranged along the back body 22 of the outer fabric 12. The strip-shaped member 16 extends from the front to the back of the back body 22. The strip-shaped member 16 has a shape in which the width gradually decreases from the back to the front. The strip-shaped member 16 is made of a stretchable fabric.
[0057] (Input / Output Device) The input / output device 18 is configured to include electrodes 30, wiring 40, and a connector 50. The electrodes 30, wiring 40, and connector 50 are integrally formed using a conductive sheet-like stretchable material, and are fixed in an exposed state to the inner fabric 14. Methods for fixing them to the inner fabric 14 include, for example, thermocompression bonding using a hot melt layer, sewing, etc.
[0058] The electrode 30 contacts the wearer's crotch, particularly the perineum, to detect myoelectric potential. The electrode 30 is a component that is fixed in an exposed state to the shorts body, inside the crotch portion (the portion where the gusset 24 is located) of the shorts 10. In this embodiment, the electrode 30 is fixed to the inner fabric 14 that is located inside the gusset 24 of the outer fabric 12. The area of the electrode 30 in a plan view is 100 mm 2 More than 2000mm 2 It is preferable to do the following:
[0059] The connector 50 acquires the wearer's myoelectric potential detected by the electrodes 30 via the wiring 40. The connector 50 has terminals 52, which are exposed to the outside of the shorts 10 as shown in FIG. 1A . A detachable electronic unit 100 can be fixed to the terminals 52. The connector 50 is an output mechanism that outputs the wearer's myoelectric potential detected by the electrodes 30 to the electronic unit 100.
[0060] The connector 50 is provided in a region corresponding to the wearer's lower abdomen or navel when the device is worn. The connector 50 and the electrode 30 provided in a region corresponding to the wearer's crotch are connected by wiring 40.
[0061] (Detailed Structure of the Electrode) The electrode 30 has a stretchable conductor layer containing a conductive filler and a flexible resin. The electrode 30 is a laminate in which a first stretchable conductor layer and a second stretchable conductor layer are stacked in the thickness direction. The first stretchable conductor layer contains carbon-based particles as a conductive filler. The second stretchable conductor layer contains metal-based particles such as silver as a conductive filler. The first stretchable conductor layer is provided on the inner side (wearer side). Examples of flexible resins include thermoplastic resins, thermosetting resins, and rubber. However, rubber or urethane is preferred to achieve stretchability. Examples of rubber include urethane rubber, acrylic rubber, silicone rubber, butadiene rubber, nitrile group-containing rubbers such as nitrile rubber and hydrogenated nitrile rubber, isoprene rubber, vulcanized rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, and vinylidene fluoride copolymer. Examples of carbon particles that can be used include graphite powder, flake graphite powder, activated carbon powder, and Ketjenblack.
[0062] (Joining of outer fabric, inner fabric, belt-shaped member, and input / output device) Fig. 3 shows an exploded view of the outer fabric 12, inner fabric 14, belt-shaped member 16, and input / output device 18. Hatching drawn on the peripheral edges of the inner fabric 14 and belt-shaped member 16 indicates the fixing points (sewing points) to the outer fabric 12.
[0063] As shown in this figure, the outer edge of the inner fabric 14 is shaped to follow the seams S2, S4, S5 and gathers G1 of the outer fabric 12. The inner fabric 14 is sewn to the outer fabric 12 at the locations of these seams S2, S4, S5 and gathers G1.
[0064] The belt-shaped member 16 is fixed only at both ends in the front-to-rear direction to the outer fabric 12. Specifically, the belt-shaped member 16 is sewn to the outer fabric 12 at the positions of the seam S2 and the gathers G1.
[0065] The location where the front end of the belt-shaped member 16 is fixed (the location of the stitched portion S2) is an example of a first fixed portion in the present disclosure. The location where the rear end of the belt-shaped member 16 is fixed (the location of the gather G1) is an example of a second fixed portion in the present disclosure. In the following description, the first and second fixed portions may be referred to as fixed portions T1 and T2, respectively. This specification mainly describes an example where the first and second fixed portions secure the belt-shaped member 16 to the outer fabric 12 using both ends of the belt-shaped member 16. However, the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the first and second fixed portions may secure the belt-shaped member 16 to the outer fabric 12 using a location other than the end of the belt-shaped member 16, as long as the effects of the present disclosure are achieved.
[0066] The input / output device 18 is fixed to the inner fabric 14. An adhesive layer is interposed between the input / output device 18 and the inner fabric 14, and the entire surface of the input / output device 18 is fixed to the inner fabric 14. Through holes H1, through which terminals 52 of the input / output device 18 are inserted, are formed in the outer fabric 12 and the inner fabric 14. By inserting the terminals 52 into the through holes H1 from the inside, the terminals 52 are exposed to the outside and front surface of the shorts 10, as shown in FIG. 1A .
[0067] 4 is a schematic diagram showing the cross-sectional structure of the shorts 10. In this figure, the ends of the front body 20, the back body 22, the gusset 24, the inner fabric 14, and the belt-shaped member 16 in the outer fabric 12 are shown as spaced apart points.
[0068] As shown in this figure, the length between the fixed portions T1 and T2 in the belt-shaped member 16 is shorter than the length between the fixed portions T1 and T2 in the back body piece 22.
[0069] The electrode 30 is provided in the crotch portion of the inner fabric 14 (the inner portion of the gusset 24 of the outer fabric 12), and the fixed part T1 is located behind the electrode 30. Specifically, the fixed part T1 is located at the seam S2 that is the connection between the back body 22 and the gusset 24.
[0070] The fixed part T2 is disposed at the waist part of the shorts body (outer fabric 12), i.e., at the position where the gathers G1 are located.
[0071] <Functions and Effects> In the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the belt-shaped member 16 is fixed to the outer fabric 12, which is the shorts main body, at the fixed portion T1 and the fixed portion T2, as shown in Fig. 4. The length between the fixed portion T1 and the fixed portion T2 on the belt-shaped member 16 is shorter than the length between the fixed portion T1 and the fixed portion T2 on the outer fabric 12.
[0072] Therefore, when a wearer puts on the shorts, the belt-shaped member 16 is pressed against the wearer's buttocks and crotch as shown by arrow P. This causes the outside of the fixed part T1, i.e., the shorts main body (inner fabric 14) in front of the fixed part T1, to be pulled toward the belt-shaped member 16 as shown by arrow M. This improves the fit of the inner fabric 14 to the body compared to when the belt-shaped member 16 is not present.
[0073] The electrode 30 is fixed in an exposed state to the inner fabric 14 on the inside of the crotch region, so that the electrode 30 comes into close contact with the perineum as the inner fabric 14 adheres more closely to the body.
[0074] In this manner, in this embodiment, the electrodes 30 are more likely to adhere to the wearer's perineal region than when the belt-shaped member 16 is not present. The electrodes 30 are more likely to adhere to the perineal region, making it easier to measure myoelectric potentials stably and reducing the amount of noise that can be introduced during myoelectric potential measurement. This eliminates the need to insert a device into the vagina to monitor pelvic floor muscle movement.
[0075] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the belt-shaped member 16 is not fixed to the outer fabric 12 at any points other than the fixing portions T1 and T2. Therefore, there are fewer fixing points compared to when the belt-shaped member 16 is fixed at three or more points. Therefore, the belt-shaped member 16 is easily deformed when pressed by the body. Therefore, the belt-shaped member 16 is highly effective in pulling the inner fabric 14 together.
[0076] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the electrode 30 is provided in the crotch portion of the inner fabric 14, and the fixing part T1 is disposed behind the electrode 30. Therefore, when a wearer puts on the shorts 10, the inner fabric 14 in the crotch portion and the electrode 30 are pulled toward the belt-shaped member 16 pressed from the buttocks, as shown by the arrow M.
[0077] This allows the electrodes 30 to easily come into close contact with the perineal region simply by the wearer putting on the shorts 10. Therefore, the wearer does not need to check whether the electrodes 30 are in the appropriate position every time they take a measurement.
[0078] Furthermore, since the electrodes 30 are provided on the inner fabric 14, the connectors 50 and the electrodes 30 can be formed integrally with the inner fabric 14. This makes it easier to manufacture the shorts 10 compared to, for example, a case in which the electrodes 30 are provided on the belt-shaped member 16 and the connectors 50 are provided on the inner fabric 14.
[0079] Furthermore, the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure have a double-layered structure in which the shorts body is provided with an outer fabric 12 and an inner fabric 14. The outer fabric 12 has a front body 20, a back body 22, and a gusset 24 that connects the front body 20 and the back body 22 at the crotch. Therefore, the outer fabric 12 provides the function of wearing the shorts 10 as underwear.
[0080] Meanwhile, the electrodes 30 and connectors 50 are arranged on the inner fabric 14 that covers the inside of the front body 20 and the gusset 24. Inside the inner fabric 14, the electrodes 30 are arranged in the gusset 24 portion of the crotch area, but the connectors 50 are arranged in the front body 20 portion. Therefore, compared to a configuration in which the connectors 50 are arranged in the crotch area, the wearing comfort of the shorts 10 is less affected.
[0081] Also, as shown in FIG. 3, if the inner fabric 14 to which the input / output device 18 has been fixed beforehand is sewn to the outer fabric 12, the input / output device 18 can be easily formed on the shorts 10.
[0082] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Fig. 4, the fixing part T2 is arranged at the waist part of the outer fabric 12. Therefore, when the belt-shaped member 16 is pressed, tension can be applied to the belt-shaped member 16 from a high position. Therefore, compared to when the fixing part T2 is arranged at the front (lower) of the waist part, the electrodes 30 are more likely to come into close contact with the perineum when worn.
[0083] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the outer fabric 12 is provided with gathers G2 and G3 as stretchable parts that urge the outer fabric 12 in a direction that shrinks it in the front-to-rear direction along the belt-shaped member 16. This allows the outer fabric 12 to easily deform along the wearer's body. Furthermore, when the gathers G2 and G3 are held in a stretched state, the force of the outer fabric 12 shrinking attracts the electrodes 30 toward the belt-shaped member 16. This improves the adhesion of the electrodes 30 compared to a configuration without gathers G2 and G3.
[0084] In addition, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the planar area of the electrode 30 is 100 mm 2 That's all. 2 Compared to when the electrode 30 is less than this, it is easier for the electrode 30 to come into contact with the perineum, and fluctuations in the measurement results can be suppressed.
[0085] In addition, in the shorts 10, the area of the electrode 30 in plan view is 2000 mm 2 Therefore, 2000 mm 2 Compared to when the electrode 30 is larger, the measurement result is less likely to include myoelectric potentials in areas other than the perineum. In addition, adhesion is improved, and the cost of the electrode 30 can be reduced.
[0086] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the electrodes 30 have a stretchable conductor layer. Therefore, the electrodes 30 easily stretch in synchronization with the stretch of the outer fabric 12, and are less likely to cause discomfort when worn.
[0087] The electrode 30 has a first elastic conductor layer containing carbon-based particles on the inside. The conductive layer of carbon-based particles is thin and soft, so it does not affect comfort. It also prevents metal from coming into contact with the wearer's skin, making it less likely to cause allergic reactions. The electrode 30 also has a second elastic conductor layer containing metal-based particles such as silver. This provides higher conductivity and lower contact resistance than the first elastic conductor layer alone or conductive yarn, making it easier to detect myoelectric potentials and allowing use even when dry.
[0088] In addition, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the input / output device 18 has wiring 40 and a connector 50. A detachable electronic unit 100 can be connected to this connector 50 as shown in Fig. 1A. This allows the myoelectric potential measured by the electrodes 30 to be recorded in the electronic unit 100 or wirelessly transmitted via the electronic unit.
[0089] Furthermore, in the shorts 10 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the binder width W1 at the leg openings is 1 cm or more. This makes the openings less prone to twisting compared to when the binder width W1 is less than 1 cm. This prevents the electrodes 30 from shifting due to twisting at the openings. Furthermore, the binder width W1 at the leg openings is 10 cm or less. This makes the shorts easier to put on and take off, and also makes the electrode portion less susceptible to the effects of body movement, reducing the likelihood of artifacts (noise) being introduced, compared to when the binder width W1 is greater than 10 cm.
[0090] <Other Embodiments> In the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4 , the fixing portion T1 between the belt-shaped member 16 and the outer fabric 12 is disposed at the seam S2 that is the connection portion between the back body 22 and the gusset 24, but the embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited to this.
[0091] 5A and 5B, the fastening portion T1 between the belt-shaped member 16 and the outer fabric 12 may be located at the seam S1 that connects the front body 20 and the gusset 24. In this case, the front portion of the belt-shaped member 16 is located between the inner fabric 14 and the outer fabric 12.
[0092] 5B, an opening V3 for inserting the belt-shaped member 16 can be formed at the seam S2 between the inner fabric 14 and the outer fabric 12. In this embodiment, the length between the fixed portions T1 and T2 of the belt-shaped member 16 is shorter than the length between the fixed portions T1 and T2 of the back body 22 and the gusset 24.
[0093] 5C, in an example in which the fixing part T1 is disposed at the sewn part S1, the opening V3 for inserting the belt-shaped member 16 does not have to be formed at the sewn part S2. In other words, the belt-shaped member 16 may be fixed to the outer fabric 12 at three locations: the sewn part S1 (fixing part T1), S2, and the gather G1 (fixing part T2).
[0094] When the belt-shaped member 16 is configured in this manner, the electrodes 30, inner fabric 14, belt-shaped member 16, and gusset 24 are arranged in this order from the wearer's crotch. Therefore, when the belt-shaped member 16 is pressed from the wearer's crotch, the reaction force from the belt-shaped member 16 presses the electrodes 30 against the body via the inner fabric 14. This makes it easier for the electrodes 30 to come into close contact with the perineum.
[0095] In the above embodiment, the electrodes 30 are provided on the inner fabric 14, but the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, as shown in Figures 6A and 6B, a belt-shaped member 16 may be disposed across the crotch region, and the electrodes 30 may be provided on the belt-shaped member 16.
[0096] When the electrode 30 is disposed on the belt-shaped member 16, the electrode 30 is more likely to adhere to the perineum due to the reaction force from the belt-shaped member 16 pressed against the crotch area, compared to when the electrode is provided on the inner fabric 14. As shown in Figure 6B, the size of the electrode 30 can be changed as appropriate depending on the width of the object to be adhered, etc.
[0097] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the shorts body is formed using the outer fabric 12 and the inner fabric 14, but the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the inner fabric 14 may be omitted. In this case, the electrodes 30 can be fixed to the gusset 24 of the outer fabric 12. From the viewpoint of adhesiveness of the electrodes 30, it is preferable to omit the gathers G3 in the gusset 24. Furthermore, the connector 50 can be fixed to the front body 20 of the outer fabric 12.
[0098] In addition, in the above embodiment, the outer fabric 12 is formed by sewing together the front body 20, the back body 22, the gusset 24, and the binder 26, but the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the outer fabric 12 of the present disclosure may be formed from a seamless fabric (three-dimensional molding process) in which any or all of the seams S1 to S5 are not formed.
[0099] In the above embodiment, the belt-shaped member 16 is not fixed to the outer fabric 12 at any point other than the fixing portions T1 and T2, but the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the belt-shaped member 16 may be fixed to the outer fabric 12 at any point other than the fixing portions T1 and T2, i.e., at three or more points.
[0100] Furthermore, the location of the fastening portion T1 between the belt-shaped member 16 and the outer fabric 12 is not limited to the seam S1 or seam S2. The fastening portion T1 may be located, for example, between the seam S1 and seam S2 or in another location. Similarly, the fastening portion T2 between the belt-shaped member 16 and the outer fabric 12 is not limited to the gather G1 and can be located at any desired location.
[0101] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, gathers G2 and G3 are provided along the belt-shaped member 16, but the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, at least one of gathers G2 and G3 may be omitted. The effect of attracting the electrode 30 by the belt-shaped member 16 can be obtained regardless of the presence or absence of gathers G2 and G3. As such, the present disclosure can be embodied in various forms.
