[0081] FIG. 2A is a perspective view illustrating an electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0082] Figure 2b is a perspective view showing the electronic device of Figure 2a as viewed from the rear.
[0083] Referring to FIGS. 2A and 2B , an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a housing (210) that includes a first side (or front side) (210A), a second side (or back side) (210B), and a side surface (or side wall) (210C) that surrounds a space between the first side (210A) and the second side (210B). As another example, the housing may be referred to as a structure that forms at least a portion of the first side (210A), the second side (210B), or the side surface (210C) of FIGS. 2A and 2B .
[0084] According to one embodiment, the first side (210A) of the electronic device (101) may be formed at least in part by a display (201).
[0085] Although FIGS. 2A and 2B of the present disclosure illustrate that the display (201) forms the front surface of the electronic device (101) without a front plate, this is merely an example. For example, the first side (210A) of the electronic device (101) may be formed by a front plate (e.g., a glass plate including various coating layers, or a polymer plate) that is at least partially substantially transparent.
[0086] According to one embodiment, the second side (210B) may be formed by a substantially opaque back cover (211). For example, the back cover (211) may be formed by a coated or colored glass, ceramic, polymer, metal (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel (STS), or magnesium), or a combination of at least two of the materials described above.
[0087] According to one embodiment, the side (210C) of the electronic device (101) may be coupled with the display (201) and the back cover (211) and may be formed by a side member (215) comprising a metal and / or polymer. As another example, the back cover (211) and the side member (215) may be formed integrally and may comprise substantially the same material (e.g., a metal material such as aluminum).
[0088] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include at least one of a display (201), an audio module (170), a sensor module (204), a first camera module (205, 206), a key input device (217) (also referred to herein as a side key (217)), a first connector hole (208), or a second connector hole (209). For another example, the electronic device (101) may omit at least one of the components or additionally include another component.
[0089] According to one embodiment, the display (201) may be coupled to or disposed adjacent to a touch sensing circuit, a pressure sensor capable of measuring the intensity (pressure) of a touch, and / or a digitizer capable of detecting a magnetic field type stylus pen.
[0090] According to one embodiment, an audio module (e.g., an audio module (170) of FIG. 1) may output sound or receive sound through a microphone hole (203), at least one speaker hole (207), and a call receiver hole (214). For example, a microphone of the audio module (170) for acquiring external sound may be placed inside the microphone hole (203). For example, a plurality of microphones may be placed in the microphone hole (203) to detect the direction of sound.
[0091] As another example, at least one speaker hole (207) and a call receiver hole (214) may be implemented as one hole with the microphone hole (203), or a speaker may be included without at least one speaker hole (207) and a call receiver hole (214) (e.g., a piezo speaker).
[0092] In one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a sensor module (204) and may generate an electrical signal or data value corresponding to an internal operating state of the electronic device (101) or an external environmental state. For example, the sensor module (204) may further include a proximity sensor disposed on a first side (210A) of the housing (210), a fingerprint sensor integrated into or disposed adjacent to the display (201), and / or a biometric sensor (e.g., an HRM sensor) disposed on a second side (210B) of the housing (210). For example, the electronic device (101) may further include a sensor module (e.g., a gesture sensor, a gyro sensor, a barometric pressure sensor, a magnetic sensor, an acceleration sensor, a grip sensor, a color sensor, an infrared (IR) sensor, a biometric sensor, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, and / or an illuminance sensor) that is not illustrated.
[0093] The sensor module (204) of the present disclosure may correspond to the sensor module (176) of FIG. 1. For example, the description of the sensor module (176) may be applied to the sensor module (204).
[0094] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a second camera module (255) disposed on the second surface (210B). The first camera modules (205, 206) and the second camera module (255) may include one or more lenses, an image sensor, and / or an image signal processor. A flash may be disposed on the second surface (210B). For example, the flash may include a light-emitting diode or a xenon lamp. As another example, two or more lenses (an infrared camera, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens) and image sensors may be disposed on one surface of the electronic device (101).
[0095] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may be positioned on a side (210C) of the housing (210). For example, the side key (217) may include at least one of a fingerprint sensor or a touch panel.
[0096] According to one embodiment, the connector holes (208, 209) may include a first connector hole (208) that can accommodate a connector (e.g., a USB connector) for transmitting and receiving power and / or data with an external electronic device, and / or a second connector hole (e.g., an earphone jack) (209) that can accommodate a connector for transmitting and receiving audio signals with an external electronic device.
[0097] In FIGS. 2A and 2B , the electronic device (101) is illustrated as being of the bar type, but this is merely an example, and in reality, the electronic device (101) may correspond to various types of devices. For example, the electronic device (101) may correspond to a foldable device, a slidable device, a wearable device (e.g., a smart watch or wireless earphones), or a tablet PC. Therefore, the technical idea disclosed in the present disclosure is not limited to the bar type device illustrated in FIGS. 2A and 2B , and may be applied to devices of various types.
[0098] Although a non-foldable display (201) is shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, this is merely an example. For example, the display (201) may be a flexible display that folds or unfolds around a first axis (e.g., the x-axis).
[0099] FIG. 2C is a drawing illustrating a side member and a side key of an electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0100] Referring to FIG. 2C, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a side member (215) forming at least a portion of a side surface (210C). The side member (215) may include a first side surface portion (231), a second side surface portion (232), a third side surface portion (233), and / or a fourth side surface portion (234).
[0101] According to one embodiment, the side member (215) may form at least a portion of a side surface (210C) of the electronic device (101). For example, the first side surface (231) may form at least a portion of a first side surface (241) of the electronic device (101). The second side surface (232) may form at least a portion of a second side surface (242) of the electronic device (101). The third side surface (233) may form at least a portion of a third side surface (243) of the electronic device (101). The fourth side surface (234) may form at least a portion of a fourth side surface (244) of the electronic device (101).
[0102] In FIG. 2C of the present disclosure, for convenience of explanation, the side portions (e.g., the first side portion (231)) included in the side member (215) are described as forming the side portion (210C) of the electronic device (101), but this is merely an example. For example, the side member (215) may also be expressed as forming the side portion (210C) of the electronic device (101) without defining the side portions. For example, the side member (215) may form the first side portion (241) of the electronic device (101).
[0103] In one embodiment, the side member (215) may include a conductive material. For example, the side member (215) may be formed of a conductive material (e.g., aluminum).
[0104] According to one embodiment, the side member (215) may have a seamless loop shape. For example, the side member (215) may form the side member (210C) in a seamless loop shape. For example, the side member (215) may be formed in a loop shape without a segment including a non-conductive material (e.g., an injection-molded member). For example, the first side portion (231) may be connected to the second side portion (232) and the fourth side portion (234), and the fourth side portion (234) may be connected to the first side portion (231) and the third side portion (233). As a result, the side member (215) may have a seamless loop shape.
[0105] As another example, the side member (215) may have a continuous loop shape.
[0106] According to one embodiment, the first side portion (231) can be substantially parallel to the third side portion (233), and the second side portion (232) can be substantially parallel to the fourth side portion (234). At least a portion of the first side portion (231) can be substantially perpendicular to the second side portion (232) and the fourth side portion (234). At least a portion of the third side portion (233) can be substantially perpendicular to the second side portion (232) and the fourth side portion (234).
[0107] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may be a component or device that identifies a location of contact and / or information that there is contact when a user or an object (e.g., a pen) makes contact with the side key (217). For example, the side key (217) may identify that a user's body (e.g., a finger) is in contact with or is located within a specified distance from the side key (217), and may transmit a signal or information indicating to the processor (120) that the user input (e.g., a touch input) has been identified.
[0108] According to one embodiment, the signal indicating that the user input has been identified may be a trigger or event that causes the electronic device (101) to perform wireless communication by selecting an antenna other than the antenna including the groove (250) between the conductive portion of the side key (217) and the side member (215). For example, as will be described later, the electronic device (101) may implement an antenna (e.g., the antenna (501) of FIG. 5) that utilizes a potential difference between the side member (215) in which the groove (250) is formed and the conductive portion of the side key (217). For example, when the user brings a part of the body (e.g., a finger) close to the side key (217) while the electronic device (101) is performing wireless communication in a designated frequency band through the antenna, the electronic device (101) may identify a signal indicating that the user input has been identified from the side key (217). In this case, the electronic device (101) can perform wireless communication in a designated frequency band by using other antennas within the electronic device (101) instead of the antenna using the side member (215) and side key (217) in which the home (250) is formed.
[0109] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) can be implemented in various ways. For example, the side key (217) can include a resistive touch panel using transparent electrode layers. For example, the side key (217) can include a capacitive touch panel that identifies a user input (e.g., a touch input) using a potential difference. According to one embodiment, the side key (217) can form at least a portion of the first side (241) together with the first side portion (231) of the side member (215). For example, the side key (217) can be disposed within a groove (250) formed in the first side portion (231). The side key (217) disposed within the groove (250) can form the first side (241) together with the first side portion (231).
[0110] Although the side key (217) is described as corresponding to a key button in FIG. 2C of the present disclosure, this is merely an example. For example, the side key (217) may include a key button (260) that operates based on physical pressure. In this case, when a user applies pressure to the side key (217) using a part of the body (e.g., a finger), the side key (217) can identify whether a user input has been input based on the presence or absence of physical pressure as well as the potential difference of the side key (217).
[0111] As another example, the side key (217) itself may perform a key button function that operates based on physical pressure. For example, when a user applies pressure to the side key (217) using a part of the body (e.g., a finger), the side key (217) may identify the user input to the side key (217) based on the pressure as well as the potential difference.
[0112] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) includes a touch panel, and the side key (217) may be configured to identify a user's touch input to the touch panel or to identify pressure applied to the touch panel, and to transmit a signal to the processor (120) indicating the presence of the user's input based on the touch input or the pressure.
[0113] The term “home” in the present disclosure may be replaced with the terms slit, hole, opening portion, opening, slot or pit.
[0114] The term “side key” in the present disclosure may be replaced with the terms touch panel, touch screen, touch display, or touch screen panel (TSP).
[0115] The term “side member” in the present disclosure may be replaced with the terms “frame forming the side”, “housing portion forming the side”, or “conductive side member”.
[0116] The term "side portion" in the present disclosure may be replaced with terms such as side member, part, part, or conductive portion. For example, the first side portion (231) may be replaced with terms such as first side member, first part, first part, first frame, or first conductive portion.
[0117] Although the electronic device (101) of the present disclosure has been described as not including segments or non-conductive materials that physically separate the side members (215), this is merely an example. For example, the electronic device (101) may include at least one segment or non-conductive material, and the side members (215) may be divided into side portions by at least one segment or non-conductive material. For example, a first segment including a non-conductive material may be disposed between a first side portion (231) and a second side portion (232), and a second segment including a non-conductive material may be disposed between the second side portion (232) and a third side portion (233).
[0118] FIG. 2d is an exploded view of an electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0119] Referring to FIG. 2d, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a rear cover (211), a side member (215), a side key (217), a first printed circuit board (310), a second printed circuit board (311), a battery (320), and / or a display (201).
[0120] In one embodiment, the side member (215) can surround a space between the display (201) and the rear cover (211). For example, the side member (215) can form or define an interior space of the electronic device (101) by being coupled to the display (201) and the rear cover (211).
[0121] According to one embodiment, various electronic components may be arranged in the internal space of the electronic device (101) formed or defined by the side member (215), the display (201), and the rear cover (211). For example, a first printed circuit board (310), a second printed circuit board (311), and / or a battery (320) may be arranged in the internal space of the electronic device (101).
[0122] According to one embodiment, the battery (320) may provide power to at least some of the electronic components included in the electronic device (101). For example, the battery (320) may supply power for a wireless communication circuit (e.g., a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC)) described below.
[0123] The battery (320) of the present disclosure may correspond to the battery (189) of FIG. 1, and therefore, the description of the battery (189) of FIG. 1 may be applied to the battery (320).
[0124] According to one embodiment, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may be positioned at different positions relative to the battery (320). For example, the first printed circuit board (310) may be positioned in an upward direction (e.g., +y direction) relative to the battery (320). The second printed circuit board (311) may be positioned in a downward direction (e.g., -y direction) opposite to the upward direction relative to the battery (320).
[0125] For another example, the first printed circuit board (310) may be placed at an upper portion of the electronic device (101). The second printed circuit board (311) may be placed at a lower portion of the electronic device (101). The upper portion may be referred to as a portion of the electronic device (101) positioned in an upward direction (e.g., +y direction) with respect to the battery (320). The lower portion may be referred to as a portion of the electronic device (101) positioned in a downward direction (e.g., -y direction) with respect to the battery (320).
[0126] According to one embodiment, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may be physically separated but electrically connected. For example, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may be electrically connected through a conductive member (e.g., a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB)).
[0127] According to one embodiment, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may provide electrical connection paths for various components within the electronic device (101) or provide spaces for various components to be placed. For example, the processor (120) may be placed on the first printed circuit board (310), and the first printed circuit board (310) may provide a conductive path for electrically connecting the side key (217) and the processor (120). For example, the power management module (188) may be placed on the first printed circuit board (310), and the first printed circuit board (310) may provide a conductive path for electrically connecting the power management module (188) and the battery (320).
[0128] The processor (120) of the present disclosure may include at least one processor as described in FIG. 1. For example, the processor (120) may include an application processor (AP) and a communication processor (CP). In another example, the processor (120) may include only an AP.
[0129] Although FIG. 2d of the present disclosure describes that the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) are positioned at different positions relative to the battery (320), this is merely an example. For example, the first printed circuit board (310) may be laminated on the second printed circuit board (311). In this case, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may be electrically connected via an interposer.
[0130] Although the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) are described as separate configurations in FIG. 2d of the present disclosure, this is merely an example. For example, the first printed circuit board (310) and the second printed circuit board (311) may be formed as a single printed circuit board. In this case, the battery (320) may be positioned or arranged in the -z direction or the +z direction of the single printed circuit board.
[0131] FIG. 3A is a diagram illustrating a wireless communication circuit and processor connected to a side key disposed within a home according to one embodiment.
[0132] Referring to FIG. 3A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a home (250), a side key (217), a first printed circuit board (310), a wireless communication circuit (321), and / or a processor (120).
[0133] According to one embodiment, a groove (250) may be formed within the side member (215). For example, the groove (250) may be formed within the first side portion (231) of the side member (215).
[0134] According to one embodiment, the groove (250) may have various shapes. For example, the groove (250) formed in the side member (215) may be formed to extend in a third direction (e.g., +y direction). For another example, the groove (250) may have a rectangular shape, an oval shape, or a polygonal shape. For example, the groove (250) may have a shape corresponding to the side key (217).
[0135] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be disposed on or within the first printed circuit board (310). For example, the processor (120) may include an AP, and the AP may be disposed on the first printed circuit board (310). As another example, the processor (120) may include an AP and a CP, and the AP and the CP may be disposed on the first printed circuit board (310).
[0136] However, although FIG. 3A illustrates that the processor (120) is disposed on the first printed circuit board (310), this is merely an example, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, among the processors (120), the AP may be disposed on the first printed circuit board (310), and the CP may be disposed on the second printed circuit board (311).
[0137] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) may be disposed on or within the first printed circuit board (310).
[0138] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) may include an intermediate frequency integrated circuit (IFIC) and / or an RFIC. For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may process RF signals below the FR1 frequency band (e.g., 7.125 GHz), in which case the wireless communication circuit (321) may only include an RFIC. In one example, the RFIC of the wireless communication circuit (321) may convert baseband (BB) signals received from the CP in the processor (120) into RF signals and transmit the RF signals to an antenna radiator (e.g., a side member (215)).
[0139] For another example, the wireless communication circuit (321) can process RF signals above the FR2 frequency band (e.g., 24.25 GHz), in which case the wireless communication circuit (321) can include an IFIC and an RFIC. In one example, the IFIC of the wireless communication circuit (321) can convert BB signals received from the CP of the processor (120) into IF signals and transmit the IF signals to the RFIC, and the RFIC of the wireless communication circuit (321) can convert the IF signals into RF signals and transmit the RF signals to the antenna radiator.
[0140] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may include a first conductive connection member (350). For example, the first conductive connection member (350) may be configured to have wires formed or arranged therein for transmitting signals for the side key (217). In one example, the signal for the side key (217) may include an input signal that the side key (217) transmits to the processor (120) based on a user input and / or a control signal that the processor (120) transmits to the side key (217) for controlling the side key (217).
[0141] According to one embodiment, the wires included in the first conductive connecting member (350) can be used as a power supply line for supplying power to the side member (215) in which the groove (250) is formed.
[0142] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) may be electrically connected to a first conductive connection member (350) of a side key (217) disposed within the home (250). For example, the side key (217) may include the first conductive connection member (350), and a first conductive line (361) may be formed on the first printed circuit board (310) to electrically connect the wireless communication circuit (321) and the first conductive connection member (350). For example, the first conductive line (361) may include a conductive connection line, a conductive via, and / or an interposer formed in a plurality of layers of the first printed circuit board (310).
[0143] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) may be electrically connected to the first conductive connection member (350) via the first conductive line (361), such that the wireless communication circuit (321) may power the side member (215) via the first conductive connection member (350). For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit RF signals of a designated frequency band (e.g., about 3 to 6 GHz) to the side member (215) via the first conductive connection member (350).
[0144] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be electrically connected to a side key (217) disposed within the home (250). For example, the side key (217) may include a first conductive connection member (350), and a second conductive line (362) may be formed on the first printed circuit board (310) to electrically connect the processor (120) and the first conductive connection member (350).
[0145] According to one embodiment, as the processor (120) is electrically connected to the side key (217) through the first conductive connecting member (350), the processor (120) can transmit control signals for controlling the side key (217) to the side key (217) and receive input signals received from the side key (217). In one example, the input signals can be referred to as signals indicating the presence of a user input based on a user input (e.g., a touch input) to the side key (217).
[0146] Although the first conductive connection member (350) is described as being included in the side key (217) in FIG. 3A of the present disclosure, this is merely an example. For example, the first conductive connection member (350) may not be formed integrally with the side key (217), and may be described as a separate component that can be coupled to the side key (217).
[0147] Although the electrical connection relationship between the wireless communication circuit (321) and the processor (120) is not illustrated in the present disclosure, the wireless communication circuit (321) and the processor (120) may be electrically connected. For example, the processor (120) may include a CP, and the CP may be electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit (321). The wireless communication circuit (321) may receive BB (baseband) signals from the CP and upconvert the BB signals into RF signals. In this case, the wireless communication circuit (321) may directly convert the BB signals into RF signals depending on the frequency band it supports, or may convert the BB signals into IF signals and then convert the IF signals into RF signals.
[0148] Although FIG. 3A of the present disclosure illustrates that the groove (250) is formed in the first side portion (231) of the side member (215), this is merely an example. For example, the groove (250) may be formed in the second side portion (232), the third side portion (233), and / or the fourth side portion (234) of the side member (215).
[0149] In FIG. 3A of the present disclosure, the side key (217) is described as being positioned within the groove (250), but this can be replaced with various expressions. For example, the side key (217) can be expressed as being entered within the groove (250). For example, the side key (217) can be expressed as being coupled with the groove (250). For example, the side key (217) can be expressed as being fixed to the groove (250). For example, the side key (217) can be expressed as being fastened to the groove (250). For example, the side key (217) can be expressed as being adhered to the groove (250).
[0150] FIG. 3b is a drawing illustrating a side key arranged within a home according to one embodiment.
[0151] Referring to FIG. 3B, the side key (217) according to one embodiment may have a width and a height corresponding to the width and height of the groove (250). For example, since the side key (217) must be positioned within the groove (250), it may have a first width (W1) that is less than or equal to the width of the groove (250). The side key (217) may have a first height (H1) that is less than or equal to the height of the groove (250).
[0152] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may include a first conductive connection member (350). For example, the first conductive connection member (350) may include a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) or a flexible RF circuit (FRC).
[0153] In one embodiment, the first conductive connection member (350) may include a first conductive path (371) for RF signals transmitted from the wireless communication circuit (321) to the side member (215). For example, the first conductive connection member (350) may include a first conductive path (371) for power supply.
[0154] According to one embodiment, the first conductive connection member (350) may include a second conductive path (372) for a control signal transmitted from the processor (120) to the side key (217), for example, the first conductive connection member (350) may include a second conductive path (372) for transmitting and / or receiving the control signal.
[0155] According to one embodiment, the first conductive connecting member (350) may include a first connecting portion (351) and a second connecting portion (352). For example, the second connecting portion (352) may be a portion located at the rear surface (217b) of the side key (217). For example, the first connecting portion (351) may be a portion extending from the second connecting portion (352) and connected to the first printed circuit board (310). For example, a first end of the first connecting portion (351) may be connected to a connector of the first printed circuit board (310) (e.g., connector (312) of FIG. 4b), and a second end of the first connecting portion (351) may be connected to the second connecting portion (352).
[0156] For another example, the second connecting portion (352) of the first conductive connecting member (350) may be a portion that extends in a third direction (e.g., +y direction). The first connecting portion (351) may be a portion that extends in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) from the second connecting portion (352). In one example, the first direction (e.g., -x direction) may be perpendicular to the third direction (e.g., +y direction).
[0157] Although the first conductive connecting member (350) is described as a separate component included in the side key (217) in FIG. 3b of the present disclosure, this is merely an example. For example, the first conductive connecting member (350) may be described as a part of the side key (217).
[0158] In the present disclosure, the front side (217a) of the side key (217) may be a side facing the outside of the electronic device (101), and the rear side (217b) of the side key (217) may be a side facing the inside of the electronic device (101). However, this is a definition for convenience of explanation, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, the front side (217a) may be defined as a first side, and the rear side (217b) may be defined as a second side opposite to the first side.
[0159] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may include a first fill-cut region (353a) (or a non-grounded region, a non-conductive region) in which a first conductive path (371) (or a first feed line, a transmission line) is exposed. For example, the second connection portion (352) of the first conductive connection member (350) may include a first fill-cut region (353a) in which the first conductive path (371) is exposed. In one example, the first fill-cut region (353a) may be a part of a layer of the first conductive connection member (350) formed of a non-conductive material for feeding power as a non-conductive region.
[0160] For example, if the first conductive connecting member (350) is a printed circuit board (PCB), the first layer (or upper layer) and the area from the first layer to a designated layer (e.g., the fifth layer) may be a fill-cut area (353a). The area from the layer below the designated layer (e.g., the sixth layer) to the lower layer may be a wiring layer including transmission lines.
[0161] For example, in order for the first conductive path (371) of the first conductive connecting member (350) to be electrically connected to the side member (215), a portion of the conductive layer forming the surface of the first conductive connecting member (350) (e.g., FPCB) may be removed to expose a non-conductive material, and the first conductive path (371) may be disposed on the non-conductive material. For example, the first conductive connecting member (350) (e.g., FPCB, PCB, or part of a display) may include a first fill-cut area (353a) on which the first conductive path (371) for power supply is disposed on the non-conductive material. As the first conductive path (371) is exposed on the first fill-cut area (353a), the first conductive path (371) may be electrically connected to the second conductive connecting member (353).
[0162] However, for the convenience of explanation in the present disclosure, it has been described that a part of the conductive layer forming the surface of the first conductive path (371) is removed for electrical connection of the first conductive path (371), but this is only an example and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, a part of the non-conductive layer located on the surface of the first conductive connection member (350) may be removed for electrical connection of the first conductive path (371). For example, the first conductive path (371) may be formed to be exposed up to the surface of the first conductive connection member (350) without removing the non-conductive layer for electrical connection of the first conductive path (371). For example, when the first conductive connection member (350) is a PCB, the first conductive path (371) may not be directly exposed to the surface of the first conductive connection member (350) but may be electrically connected to the side member (215) through a conductive via formed in the PCB.
[0163] According to one embodiment, a first conductive connecting member (350) including a ground (e.g., a conductive portion (341)) may be electrically connected to a ground included in the first printed circuit board (310) and / or the second printed circuit board (311), or may be electrically connected to a ground included within the electronic device (101).
[0164] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a second conductive connection member (353), and a first conductive path (371) may be electrically connected to the second conductive connection member (353) on the first fill-cut area (353a). For example, the second conductive connection member (353) may be disposed on the first fill-cut area (353a). The first conductive path (371) may be electrically connected to the second conductive connection member (353) by making contact with the second conductive connection member (353) on the first fill-cut area (353a). For example, the first conductive line (361) and the first conductive path (371) may correspond to conductive paths, power supply lines, and / or transmission lines for supplying power to the first side portion (231). For example, the first conductive line (361) and the first conductive path (371) may be connected to a second conductive connecting member (353) (e.g., a C-clip and / or a conductive foam) to form at least a portion of a conductive path, a power supply line, or a transmission line for supplying power to the first side portion (231). For example, the first conductive line (361) and the first conductive path (371) may be connected to the second conductive connecting member (353) to configure the wireless communication circuit (321) to perform wireless communication.
[0165] According to one embodiment, in the first fill-cut region (353a), a first conductive path (371) may be exposed to the outside as at least a portion of the non-conductive material (or dielectric) formed on the surface of the first conductive connection member (350) is removed, and the first conductive path (371) exposed to the outside of the first conductive connection member (350) may be electrically connected to the second conductive connection member (353).
[0166] For example, the second conductive connecting member (353) may include a C-clip, a conductive gasket, or a pogo-pin.
[0167] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) may include a conductive portion (341) and a non-conductive portion (342) disposed along an edge of the conductive portion (341). For example, the conductive portion (341) may include a substrate or panel for the side key (217) to identify a user input (e.g., a touch input). As another example, the conductive portion (341) may include a metal layer included in the side key (217).
[0168] For example, the non-conductive portion (342) can be formed to surround the conductive portion (341). When the side key (217) is positioned within the groove (250), the non-conductive portion (342) can be positioned between the side member (215) and the conductive portion (341), and a separation distance between the side member (215) and the conductive portion (341) can be secured. For example, the non-conductive portion (342) can be used to secure a separation distance between the groove (250) of the side member (215) and the conductive portion (341).
[0169] According to one embodiment, the non-conductive portion (342) may include an adhesive material (e.g., a non-conductive adhesive member, a non-conductive adhesive tape).
[0170] In one embodiment, the adhesive material of the non-conductive portion (342) can secure the side key (217) to the groove (250). For example, the non-conductive portion (342) can contact the first side portion (231) when the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), and the side key (217) can be secured to the groove (250) through the adhesive material of the non-conductive portion (342).
[0171] The first connection portion (351) and the second connection portion (352) of the first conductive connection member (350) described in FIG. 3b of the present disclosure may be replaced with various expressions referring to portions. For example, the first connection portion (351) and the second connection portion (352) may be replaced with the first portion and the second portion, respectively. For example, the first connection portion (351) and the second connection portion (352) may be replaced with the first part and the second part, respectively.
[0172] The term “fill-cut region” in the present disclosure may be replaced with one of cutting area, cutting portion, removal portion, removal region, or fill-cut region.
[0173] The term “conductive path” in the present disclosure may be replaced with the term “transmission line”, “conductive line” or “feeding path”.
[0174] FIG. 4A is a drawing illustrating a side key that is inserted into a home from the outside of an electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0175] Referring to FIG. 4A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a support member (410), a connector (312), and / or a first protrusion (420).
[0176] According to one embodiment, the side key (217) can be inserted into the groove (250) from the outside of the electronic device (101) and can be arranged within the groove (250). For example, the side key (217) located outside the electronic device (101) can be inserted into the groove (250) by moving in a first direction (e.g., -x direction), and the side key (217) can be coupled with the groove (250) or fixed to the groove (250). In one example, after the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), a non-conductive portion (342) can be arranged between the groove (250) and the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217).
[0177] In the present disclosure, it has been described that when the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), a non-conductive portion (342) is arranged between the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217) and the groove (250), but this is only an example. For example, a non-conductive region may be formed or configured along the border or edge of the groove (250), and in this case, when the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), the non-conductive region of the groove (250) may be arranged or positioned between the groove (250) and the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217).
[0178] For another example, a side key (217) located outside of an electronic device (101) can be moved in a direction from the outside of the electronic device to the inner space of the electronic device (101) to be inserted into the home (250), and the side key (217) can be coupled with the home (250). For another example, a side key (217) located outside of an electronic device (101) can be moved in a direction toward the opening of the home (250) to be inserted into the home (250), and the side key (217) can be coupled with the home (250).
[0179] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a support member (410). The support member (410) may support a side key (217) inserted into a groove (250) or may secure the side key (217) to the groove (250). For example, the support member (410) may contact a rear surface of the side key (217) (e.g., the rear surface (217b) of FIG. 3B) and may support the side key (217) or secure the side key (217) to the groove (250).
[0180] According to one embodiment, the support member (410) may include a hole (421) into which a first connecting portion (351) of a first conductive connecting member (350) is inserted. When the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), the first conductive connecting member (350) of the side key (217) may be inserted into the hole (421) and connected to the connector (312).
[0181] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a connector (312). For example, the connector (312) may be formed or arranged on a first printed circuit board (310). For example, the connector (312) may be configured to provide an electrical connection between the side key (217) and components (e.g., wireless communication circuit (321), processor (120)) arranged on the first printed circuit board (310).
[0182] According to one embodiment, the connector (312) can electrically connect the wireless communication circuit (321) and the side key (217). For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) can be electrically connected to the connector (312) via the first conductive line (361), and the side key (217) can be electrically connected to the connector (312) via the first conductive connection member (350). Consequently, the wireless communication circuit (321) and the side key (217) can be electrically connected via the first conductive line (361), the connector (312), and the first conductive connection member (350).
[0183] According to one embodiment, the side member (215) may include a first protrusion (420). For example, a first side portion (231) of the side member (215) may include the first protrusion (420).
[0184] According to one embodiment, the first protrusion (420) may be a portion that extends from the side member (215) by a specified length. For example, the first protrusion (420) may be a portion that extends in a first direction (e.g., +y direction) from the first side portion (231) of the side member (215). For example, the first protrusion (420) may be a portion that extends by a specified length from an adjacent portion (431) of the side member (215) adjacent to the first end (250a) of the groove (250). For example, the first protrusion (420) may be a portion that extends from the adjacent portion (431) in a direction from the first end (250a) of the groove (250) toward the second end (250b). For example, the first protrusion (420) may be a portion that extends in a direction parallel to the first side portion (231) (e.g., +y direction).
[0185] In the present disclosure, the term “support member (410)” may be replaced with the term “support plate”, “support substrate”, “plate” or “substrate”.
[0186] The term “protrusion” in the present disclosure may be replaced with “protruding portion”, “extension”, or “extended portion”.
[0187] The interior or internal space of the electronic device (101) of the present disclosure may be referred to as a space surrounded by the display (201), the rear cover (211), and the side member (215). In addition, the exterior or external space of the electronic device (101) may be referred to as a space other than the space surrounded by the display (201), the rear cover (211), and the side member (215).
[0188] The term “adjacent portion (431)” in FIG. 4A of the present disclosure may be replaced with other terms referring to a portion of the side member (215) adjacent to the groove (250). In addition, the size and shape of the adjacent portion (431) in FIG. 4A are illustrated for convenience of explanation, and thus the size and shape of the adjacent portion (431) may vary.
[0189] FIG. 4b is a diagram illustrating a wireless communication circuit that supplies power to a first side portion when a side key is inserted into a home according to one embodiment.
[0190] Referring to FIG. 4B, a side key (217) positioned on the outside of an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment can be moved in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) and inserted into a groove (250). For example, a side key (217) positioned on the outside of an electronic device (101) can be moved in a direction toward a groove (250) (e.g., -x direction) and coupled to or fixed to a groove (250).
[0191] According to one embodiment, as the side key (217) is inserted into the home (250), the second conductive connection member (353) positioned on the first fill-cut area (353a) of the first conductive connection member (350) may be electrically connected to the first protrusion (420). For example, as the side key (217) moves in the first direction (e.g., the -x direction), the second conductive connection member (353) may come into contact with the first protrusion (420). The second conductive connection member (353) may be electrically connected to the first protrusion (420).
[0192] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) can supply power to a first point (F1) of the first side portion (231) via the first conductive connection member (350) of the side key (217). For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) can be electrically connected to a second conductive connection member (353) (e.g., a conductive gasket) via the first conductive line (361) and the first conductive path (371). Since the second conductive connection member (353) is electrically connected to the first protrusion (420) of the first side portion (231), the wireless communication circuit (321) can supply power to the first point (F1) via the first conductive path (371), the second conductive connection member (353), and the first protrusion (420).
[0193] According to one embodiment, the first point (F1) may be a point adjacent to a groove (250) among the side members (215). For example, the first point (F1) may be a point adjacent to a groove (250) among the first side portions (231). For example, the first point (F1) may be a point adjacent to a first end (250a) of the groove (250). For example, the first point (F1) may be included in a first portion of the side member (215) described later in FIG. 5 (e.g., the first portion (510) of FIG. 5).
[0194] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) can transmit and / or receive RF signals of a specified frequency band (e.g., about 3 to 6 GHz) based on an electrical path formed in a portion of the side member (215) corresponding to the home (250) (e.g., the first portion (510) of FIG. 5) and a conductive portion of the side key (217) (e.g., the conductive portion (341) of FIG. 3b) by supplying power to the first point (F1) of the first side portion (231).
[0195] Below, in FIG. 5, the electrical path formed in the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) is described.
[0196] The designated frequency band of the present disclosure may include various frequency bands. For example, the designated frequency band may include a frequency band of about 3 to 6 GHz. For example, the designated frequency band may include at least a portion of the FR1 band (e.g., about 7.125 GHz or less). For example, the designated frequency band may include at least a portion of the FR2 band (e.g., about 24.25 to about 52.6 GHz).
[0197] In FIG. 4b of the present disclosure, the wireless communication circuit (321) is described as being supplied to the first point (F1) of the first side portion (231), but the wireless communication circuit (321) may also be expressed as being supplied to the first point (F1) of the side member (215). In addition, the wireless communication circuit (321) may be supplied to various points of the first side portion (231) other than the first point.
[0198] FIG. 5 is a drawing illustrating electrical paths formed in the conductive portions of the side member and the side key as the wireless communication circuit according to one embodiment supplies power to the side member.
[0199] Referring to FIG. 5, the side member (215) according to one embodiment may include a first portion (510) including a conductive material. For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) surrounding an edge of a groove (250). For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) corresponding to or including an edge of the groove (250). For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) including the groove (250). For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) in which the groove (250) is formed. For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) adjacent to the groove (250). For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) including a first point (F1) for power supply. For example, the side member (215) may include a first portion (510) including an electrical path formed along an edge of the groove (250).
[0200] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) can power a first point (F1) of the side member (215). For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) can power a first point (F1) of a first portion (510) of the side member (215).
[0201] The first portion (510) of the present disclosure is a term used to refer to a region or portion surrounding a groove (250) among the side members (215). The size and boundary of the first portion (510) illustrated in FIG. 5 of the present disclosure may vary. For example, the first portion (510) may have a size and boundary different from the size and boundary disclosed in FIG. 5. For another example, the first portion (510) may have various shapes other than a rectangle.
[0202] According to one embodiment, when the wireless communication circuit (321) supplies power to the first point (F1) of the side member (215), a first electrical path (521) may be formed in the first portion (510) of the side member (215), and a second electrical path (522) may be formed in the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217). For example, when the side key (217) is seated in the groove (250), a non-conductive portion (342) may be formed between the first side portion (231) and the conductive portion (341). The non-conductive portion (342) may substantially form a slit. The wireless communication circuit (321) may supply power to the first point (F1) across the non-conductive portion (342) forming the slit, thereby forming electrical paths around the non-conductive portion (342). In one example, a first electrical path (521) may be formed in the first portion (510), and a second electrical path (522) may be formed in the conductive portion (341). In this case, an antenna (501) (or slot antenna) including the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) as radiators may operate based on the first electrical path (521) and the second electrical path (522).
[0203] For example, as the wireless communication circuit (321) supplies power to the first point (F1) of the first portion (510), a first electrical path (521) may be formed along the edge of the home (250), and a second electrical path (522) may be formed along the edge of the conductive portion (341).
[0204] For example, when the wireless communication circuit (321) supplies power to the first point (F1) of the first portion (510), current can flow from the first portion (510) to the conductive portion (341) through a coupling connection or an electromagnetic connection due to the potential difference between the first point (F1) adjacent to the home (250) and the conductive portion (341). Accordingly, a first electrical path (521) and a second electrical path (522) can be formed.
[0205] Hereinafter, in the present disclosure, an antenna radiator that transmits and / or receives RF signals of a designated frequency band based on a first electrical path (521) and a second electrical path (522) is referred to as an antenna (501). That is, from now on, the antenna (501) may include an antenna radiator that includes a first portion (510) of a side member (215) and a conductive portion (341) of a side key (217). As another example, the antenna (501) may include an antenna radiator that includes a first portion (510) and a conductive portion (341).
[0206] According to one embodiment, the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) of the side member (215) can be spaced apart from each other with the non-conductive portion (342) of the side key (217) therebetween. For example, the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) can be spaced apart so as to enable electromagnetic connection. For example, the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) can be spaced apart by a specified distance so as to enable capacitive connection. For example, the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) can be arranged so as to be spaced apart by a specified distance so as to enable coupling connection.
[0207] According to one embodiment, the ground (530) may be electrically connected to the conductive portion (341). For example, the ground (530) may be included in an electronic component (e.g., FPCB, FRC) included in the first printed circuit board (310) and / or the electronic device (101).
[0208] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit and / or receive RF signals based on or using an electrical path (520). For example, the frequency band of the transmitted and / or received RF signals may be based on the length of the electrical path (520).
[0209] The electrical path of the present disclosure may be understood as a flow of current formed based on a power supply or a flow of current formed based on a potential difference.
[0210] Although FIG. 5 of the present disclosure illustrates that the ground (530) is electrically connected to the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217), this is merely an example. For example, the ground (530) may be connected to a conductive portion (341) other than the point illustrated in FIG. 8. For example, the ground (530) may be electrically connected to one point of the first side portion (231) of the side member (215).
[0211] In FIG. 5 of the present disclosure, it is described that a first electrical path (521) is formed in a first portion (510) of a side member (215) when the wireless communication circuit (321) supplies power to a first point (F1) of a side member (215), but this is only an example. For example, the description may be based on the first side portion (231) rather than the side member (215). For example, it may also be described that a first electrical path (521) is formed in a first portion (510) of the first side portion (231) when the wireless communication circuit (321) supplies power to a first point (F1) of the first side portion (231).
[0212] Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view along line AA' of the first part according to one embodiment.
[0213] Referring to FIG. 6, the first protrusion (420) according to one embodiment may be formed to extend from the first side portion (231) in a third direction (e.g., +y direction).
[0214] According to one embodiment, a first conductive path (371) may be formed on a first fill-cut area (353a) formed on a second connection portion (352) of a first conductive connection member (350). For example, the first conductive path (371) may be positioned or formed on the first fill-cut area (353a) so as to be in contact with another connection member (e.g., a second conductive connection member (353)).
[0215] According to one embodiment, a second conductive connecting member (353) may be disposed between the first protrusion (420) and the second connecting portion (352). For example, the second conductive connecting member (353) may be disposed between the first protrusion (420) and the first fill-cut area (353a) of the second connecting portion (352). For example, the second conductive connecting member (353) may be disposed between the first protrusion (420) and the first conductive path (371) formed in the first fill-cut area (353a).
[0216] For another example, the second conductive connecting member (353) may be positioned in a second direction (e.g., +x direction) with respect to the first fill-cut area (353a). In this case, the first protrusion (420) may be positioned in a second direction (e.g., +x direction) with respect to the second conductive connecting member (353).
[0217] According to one embodiment, the ground (530) may be formed on the first printed circuit board (310). For example, the first printed circuit board (310) may include a plurality of conductive layers and non-conductive layers that are alternately arranged, and at least some of the plurality of conductive layers may correspond to the ground (530).
[0218] Although the ground (530) is described as being formed on or included in the first printed circuit board (310) in FIG. 6 of the present disclosure, this is merely an example. For example, the ground (530) may be formed on the second printed circuit board (311). As another example, the ground (530) may be formed on other electrical materials or conductive parts included in the electronic device (101).
[0219] According to one embodiment, the ground (530) may be connected to the side key (217) at the second point (G1). For example, the ground (530) may be electrically connected to the side key (217) at the second point (G1) via a third conductive path (673). The electrical path from the side key (217) to the ground (530) may be substantially a ground path of a conductive portion of the side key (217) (e.g., conductive portion (341) of FIG. 5).
[0220] According to one embodiment, the first side (641) formed by the first side portion (231) and the front surface (217a) of the side key (217) may form substantially the same plane. For example, the first side (641) and the front surface (217a) may be positioned on substantially the same plane. For example, the first side (641) and the front surface (217a) may form substantially the same surface without steps. The first side surface (641) of FIG. 6 of the present disclosure may substantially correspond to the first side surface (241) of FIG. 2c.
[0221] For another example, the first side (641) of the electronic device (101) and the front side (217a) of the side key (217) may be spaced apart from the edge (620) of the first printed circuit board (310) by substantially the same distance. For example, the first side (641) may be spaced apart from the edge (620) of the first printed circuit board (310) by a first distance (D1). The front side (217a) may be spaced apart from the edge (620) of the first printed circuit board (310) by a first distance (D1).
[0222] According to one embodiment, since the first side (641) and the front surface (217a) of the side key (217) are formed seamlessly in the same plane without a step, the electronic device (101) can prevent or reduce foreign substances (e.g., water or dust) from entering the electronic device (101) from the outside.
[0223] FIG. 7 illustrates a current distribution formed along the edge of the home and the edge of the side key when a wireless communication circuit according to one embodiment is powered on a side member including a home.
[0224] Referring to FIG. 7, a wireless communication circuit (321) according to one embodiment can supply power to a side member (215) including a home (250), and based on the supply, a current can be formed along the edge of the home (250) and the edge of the side key (217).
[0225] The wireless communication circuit (321) can transmit and / or receive RF signals of a designated frequency band based on currents formed along the edge of the home (250) and the edge of the side key (217).
[0226] FIG. 8 is a graph of radiation efficiency when a wireless communication circuit according to one embodiment is powered on a side member including a home.
[0227] Referring to FIG. 8, a first graph (810) according to one embodiment is a radiation efficiency graph of an antenna (501) including a first portion (510) of a side member (215) and a conductive portion (341) of a side key (217) when a wireless communication circuit (321) is supplied to the first portion (510).
[0228] According to one embodiment, the first graph (810) shows a value of about -15 dB or more in a frequency band of about 2.5 to about 6 GHz. Accordingly, the wireless communication circuit (321) can secure a radiation efficiency of a specified value (e.g., about -15 dB) or more by using the antenna (501) including the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341).
[0229] However, the frequency band of about 2.5 to about 6 GHz is only an example, and the operating frequency band of the antenna (501) is not limited to the frequency band of about 2.5 to about 6 GHz. For example, the frequency band that the wireless communication circuit (321) transmits and / or receives using the antenna (501) including the first portion (510) and the conductive portion (341) may vary. For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit and / or receive RF signals in a frequency band of about 2.5 GHz or less. For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit and / or receive RF signals in a frequency band of about 6 GHz or more.
[0230] FIG. 9A is a drawing illustrating a side key coupled to a home in a direction toward the exterior of an electronic device from the interior of the electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0231] Referring to FIG. 9A, a side key (217) according to one embodiment may be coupled or fixed to a home (250) in a direction facing outward from the inside of the electronic device (101) (e.g., +x direction). For example, a side key (217) located inside the electronic device (101) may move in a second direction (e.g., +x direction) and be inserted into the home (250). In another example, a side key (217) located inside the electronic device (101) may move in a direction toward the home (250) (e.g., +x direction) and be inserted into or coupled with the home (250).
[0232] In the embodiment of FIG. 9A of the present disclosure, unlike the embodiment of FIG. 4A, the side key (217) can be engaged with the home (250) inside the electronic device (101). For example, in the embodiment of FIG. 4A, the side key (217) can move in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) outside the electronic device (101) to be engaged with the home (250). On the other hand, in the embodiment of FIG. 9A, the side key (217) can be engaged with the home (250) inside the electronic device (101) to be engaged in a second direction (e.g., +x direction).
[0233] According to one embodiment, the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217) coupled to the groove (250) may be spaced apart from the groove (250) by a specified distance. For example, even if the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250) and coupled with the groove (250), the non-conductive portion (342) may be positioned between the groove (250) and the conductive portion (341). In this case, the conductive portion (341) and the first side portion (231) may be spaced apart by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the non-conductive portion (342) with the non-conductive portion (342) therebetween.
[0234] FIG. 9b is a drawing illustrating a fixing member for fixing a home when a side key is coupled to the home inside an electronic device according to one embodiment.
[0235] Referring to FIG. 9B, an electronic device (101) according to an embodiment may include an injection molded member (920). For example, the injection molded member (920) may be a non-conductive material formed on the first side portion (231). For example, the injection molded member (920) may be an anodized member on the first side portion (231). For example, the injection molded member (920) may be a double-injected member.
[0236] For example, the injection member (920) may be formed at a position corresponding to the position of the first side portion (231). For example, the injection member (920) may be positioned so that at least a portion thereof is in contact with the first side portion (231). For example, the injection member (920) may be positioned so as to be aligned with the first side portion (231). For example, the injection member (920) may be formed to extend in a third direction (e.g., +y direction) corresponding to the first side portion (231).
[0237] According to one embodiment, the injection member (920) may include an opening (910) that at least partially overlaps a groove (250) formed in the first side portion (231). For example, the opening (910) of the injection member (920) may include a first region (911) and a second region (912). The first region (911) may overlap the groove (250) in a first direction (e.g., -x direction), and the second region (912) may extend from the first region (911) and not overlap the groove (250). For example, the opening (910) may include a second region (912) that extends from the first region (911) and overlaps the first side portion (231).
[0238] For example, the first region (911) may be an area that overlaps the home (250) and the electronic device (101) in a direction toward the home (250), and the second region (912) may be an area that extends from the first region (911) and does not overlap the home (250).
[0239] For another example, the first region (911) may be a region formed in the injection member (920) to correspond to the home (250), and the second region (912) may be a recess additionally formed in the first region (911).
[0240] According to one embodiment, the first region (911) of the opening (910) may be a region for passing the side key (217). For example, the side key (217) may pass through the first region (911) of the opening (910) of the injection member (920) and be fixed to or coupled to the groove (250).
[0241] According to one embodiment, the second region (912) of the opening (910) may be a region for electrical connection between the first conductive path (371) of the first conductive connection member (350) and the first side portion (231). For example, when the second region (912) is formed, contact between the fourth conductive connection member (922) (e.g., a C-clip) and the first side portion (231) may be possible. For example, when the second region (912) is not formed, even if the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), the fourth conductive connection member (922) and the first side portion (231) cannot be electrically connected due to the injection member (920). On the other hand, when the second region (912) according to one embodiment is formed, the fourth conductive connection member (922) can be electrically connected to the first side portion (231). That is, the fourth conductive connecting member (922) can be electrically connected to the first side portion (231) of the side member (215) through the second region (912).
[0242] According to one embodiment, the fourth conductive connecting member (922) may extend in a fourth direction (e.g., -y direction) from the second connecting portion (352) of the side key (217) and may contact the first side portion (231).
[0243] Although FIGS. 9A and 9B of the present disclosure illustrate that the injection member (920) is formed on the first side portion (231), this is merely an example. For example, the injection member (920) may not be formed on the first side portion (231). For example, the injection member (920) may be omitted.
[0244] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) can supply power to the first side portion (231) via the first conductive line (361), the first conductive path (371), and the fourth conductive connecting member (922), and can transmit and / or receive RF signals of a designated frequency band.
[0245] FIG. 10a is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB' of a side member according to one embodiment.
[0246] Referring to FIG. 10A, a side key (217) according to one embodiment can be inserted into a groove (250) formed in a first side portion (231) and an opening (910) of an injection member (920). As at least a portion of the side key (217) is inserted into the opening (910), the injection member (920) can secure the opening (910).
[0247] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a support member (1010). For example, the support member (1010) may be positioned to contact the rear surface of the side key (217) (e.g., the rear surface (217b) of FIG. 3B) and may secure the side key (217) within the groove (250).
[0248] According to one embodiment, the support member (1010) may include a conductive material and / or a non-conductive material. For example, the entirety of the support member (1010) may be formed of a conductive material. For example, the support member (1010) may include a conductive material and a non-conductive material. For example, the entirety of the support member (1010) may be formed of a non-conductive material (e.g., an injection-molded material).
[0249] For example, the support member (1010) may include a first non-conductive material (1011) and a second non-conductive material (1012). The first non-conductive material (1011) and the second non-conductive material (1012) may be formed at a position corresponding to the non-conductive portion (342) of the side key (217). For example, the first non-conductive material (1011) and the second non-conductive material (1012) may be positioned or formed in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) with respect to the non-conductive portion (342) of the side key (217). For example, the first non-conductive material (1011) and the second non-conductive material (1012) may be positioned or formed to be aligned with the non-conductive portion (342) of the side key (217). For example, the first direction (e.g., -x direction) may be a direction perpendicular to the first side portion (231). For example, the first direction may be a direction toward the inside of the electronic device (101) with respect to the first side portion (231).
[0250] FIG. 10b is a drawing illustrating the home illustrated in FIG. 10a before and after being inserted into the side key according to one embodiment.
[0251] Referring to FIG. 10b, a side key (217) disposed inside an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment can be moved in a second direction (e.g., +x direction) and inserted into a home (250) and combined with the home (250).
[0252] FIG. 10c is a drawing illustrating a process of a side key being inserted into a groove when a fixing member according to one embodiment is formed within a first side portion.
[0253] Referring to FIG. 10c, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a non-conductive member (1050) disposed within a first side portion (231). For example, a recess (1060) may be formed within the first side portion (231), and a non-conductive member (1050) may be disposed within the recess (1060). As another example, the recess (1060) may be filled with a non-conductive member (1050) (e.g., an injection-molded member).
[0254] In FIG. 10c of the present disclosure, unlike the embodiment of FIG. 3b, a non-conductive member (1050) disposed between the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217) and the first side portion (231) may be formed within the first side portion (231). For example, in the embodiment of FIG. 3b, a non-conductive member (342) disposed between the conductive portion (341) and the first side portion (231) may be included in the side key (217). On the other hand, in the embodiment of FIG. 10c, a non-conductive member (1050) disposed between the conductive portion (341) and the first side portion (231) may be included in the first side portion (231).
[0255] In the embodiment of FIG. 10c of the present disclosure, unlike the embodiments of FIGS. 10a and 10b, the non-conductive member (1050) may be positioned within the first side portion (231). For example, in the embodiments of FIGS. 10a and 10b, the non-conductive member (342) is positioned within the side key (217), whereas in the embodiment of FIG. 10c, the non-conductive member (1050) may be positioned within a recess (1060) formed within the first side portion (231). That is, in the embodiments of FIGS. 10a and 10b, the non-conductive material disposed between the home (250) and the side key (217) may correspond to the non-conductive portion (342) of the side key (217), and in the embodiment of FIG. 10c, the non-conductive material disposed between the home (250) and the side key (217) may be a non-conductive member (1050).
[0256] FIG. 11 illustrates a current distribution formed along the edge of the home and the edge of the side key when the wireless communication circuit of FIG. 10a according to one embodiment is powered on the side member including the home.
[0257] Referring to FIG. 11, a wireless communication circuit (321) according to one embodiment can supply power to a side member (215) including a home (250), and based on the supply, a current can be formed along the edge of the home (250) and the edge of the side key (217).
[0258] Referring to the current distribution diagram shown in Fig. 11, it is confirmed that current is formed along the edges of the home (250) and side key (217) similar to the current distribution diagram shown in Fig. 7.
[0259] Accordingly, even when the side key (217) moves toward the groove (250) from the inside of the electronic device (101) and is coupled to the groove (250) as in the embodiment of FIG. 10a, a current can be formed along the edges of the first side portion (231) where the groove (250) is formed and the side key (217) as in the case where the side key (217) moves toward the groove (250) from the outside of the electronic device (101) and is coupled to the groove (250).
[0260] FIG. 12 is a graph of radiation efficiency when the wireless communication circuit of FIG. 10a according to one embodiment is powered on a side member including a home.
[0261] Referring to FIG. 12, a first graph (1210) according to one embodiment is a radiation efficiency graph of an antenna (501) including a home (250) and a conductive portion (341) of a side key (217) when the side key (217) is coupled with a home (250) inside an electronic device (101).
[0262] According to one embodiment, the first graph (1210) shows a value of about -15 dB or more in a frequency band of about 2.75 to about 6 GHz. Accordingly, the wireless communication circuit (321) can secure a radiation efficiency of a specified value (e.g., about -15 dB) or more by using the antenna (501) including the groove (250) and the conductive portion (341).
[0263] However, the frequency band of about 2.75 to about 6 GHz is only an example and does not limit the present disclosure. The frequency band that the wireless communication circuit (321) transmits and / or receives using the antenna (501) including the groove (250) and the conductive portion (341) may vary. For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit and / or receive RF signals in a frequency band of about 2.75 GHz or less. For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) may transmit and / or receive RF signals in a frequency band of about 6 GHz or more.
[0264] FIG. 13 is a drawing illustrating an electronic device including a second protrusion according to one embodiment.
[0265] Referring to FIG. 13, an electronic device (101) according to an embodiment may include a plurality of protrusions (1320). For example, the electronic device (101) may include a first protrusion (1321) extending from a first adjacent portion (1331) of a side member (215) adjacent to a first end (250a) of a groove (250). For example, the electronic device (101) may include a second protrusion (1322) extending from a second adjacent portion (1332) of a side member (215) adjacent to a second end (250b) of the groove (250). For example, the first adjacent portion (1331) of FIG. 13 of the present disclosure may correspond to the adjacent portion (431) of FIG. 4A.
[0266] According to one embodiment, the first protrusion (1321) may be a portion formed to supply power to the side member (215) of the wireless communication circuit (321), and the second protrusion (1322) may be a portion formed for grounding.
[0267] The first protrusion (1321) of FIG. 13 of the present disclosure may correspond to the first protrusion (420) of FIG. 4, and the description of the first protrusion (420) of FIG. 4 may be applied to the first protrusion (1321) of FIG. 13.
[0268] According to one embodiment, the first protrusion (1321) may be a portion that extends a specified length from the first adjacent portion (1331) of the side member (215). For example, the first protrusion (1321) may be formed to extend in a third direction (e.g., +y direction) from the first adjacent portion (1331). For example, the first protrusion (1321) may be a portion that extends from the first adjacent portion (1331) in a direction from the first end (250a) of the groove (250) toward the second end (250b).
[0269] According to one embodiment, the second protrusion (1322) may be a portion that extends a specified length from the second adjacent portion (1332) of the side member (215). For example, the second protrusion (1322) may be formed to extend in a fourth direction (e.g., -y direction) from the second adjacent portion (1332). For example, the second protrusion (1322) may be a portion that extends from the second end (250b) of the groove (250) toward the first end (250a) from the second adjacent portion (1332).
[0270] Although FIG. 13 of the present disclosure describes the electronic device (101) as including a first protrusion (1321) and a second protrusion (1322) extending from the side member (215), this is merely an example. For example, the first protrusion (1321) and the second protrusion (1322) may also be described as concepts included in the side member (215).
[0271] The terms “first adjacent portion (1331)” and “second adjacent portion (1332)” in FIG. 13 of the present disclosure may be replaced with other terms referring to portions of the side member (215) adjacent to the groove (250). In addition, the sizes and shapes of the first adjacent portion (1331) and the second adjacent portion (1332) in FIG. 13 are illustrated for convenience of explanation, and the sizes and shapes of the first adjacent portion (1331) and the second adjacent portion (1332) may vary.
[0272] FIG. 14 is a drawing illustrating a side member including a plurality of protrusions and a side key including a plurality of fillet areas according to one embodiment.
[0273] Referring to FIG. 14, a side key (217) according to one embodiment may include a first conductive connecting member (350), and the first conductive connecting member (350) may include a first fillet area (353a) and a second fillet area (1413a).
[0274] According to one embodiment, a first conductive path (371) on the first fill-cut area (353a) may be connected to a second conductive connection member (353), and a third conductive connection member (1413) may be disposed on the second fill-cut area (1413a) and connected to a second protrusion (1322). For example, the second conductive connection member (353) and / or the third conductive connection member (1413) may be at least one of a conductive gasket, a C-clip, or a pogo-pin.
[0275] According to one embodiment, when the side key (217) is inserted into the home (250), the second conductive connecting member (353) can be connected to the first protrusion (1321), and the third conductive connecting member (1413) can be connected to the second protrusion (1322).
[0276] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) can supply power to the first point (F1) of the side member (215) through the first conductive line (361), the first conductive path (371), the first protrusion (1321) and the second conductive connecting member (353).
[0277] According to one embodiment, the ground (530) can be electrically connected to a third point (G2) of the side member (215) via the second protrusion (1322) and the third conductive connecting member (1413).
[0278] According to one embodiment, the fourth conductive path (1473) may electrically connect the switch circuit (1420) and the wireless communication circuit (321). For example, the electronic device (101) may include the switch circuit (1420) connected to the wireless communication circuit (321) via the fourth conductive path (1473). For example, the switch circuit (1420) may be formed or arranged in the second connection portion (352) of the side key (217).
[0279] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (321) and / or the processor (120) can transmit a control signal to control the switch circuit (1420) via the fourth conductive path (1473). For example, the wireless communication circuit (321) can be connected to the switch circuit (1420) via the fourth conductive path (1473) and can control the switch circuit (1420) to turn on / off or control the electrical connection between at least one lumped element in the switch circuit (1420) and the first side portion (231) via the control signal. For example, the processor (120) can control the switch circuit (1420) via the wireless communication circuit (321) or the processor (120) can be directly connected to the switch circuit (1420). According to one embodiment, the switch circuit (1420) can include at least one lumped element (e.g., a capacitor or an inductor), and the switch circuit (1420) can change the electrical length of an antenna (e.g., the antenna (501) of FIG. 5) using the at least one element. For example, the switch circuit (1420) can electrically connect a first inductor having a first inductance value to the first side portion (231) through the third conductive connecting member (1413) and the second protrusion (1322), and in this case, the electrical length of the antenna (501) including the first side portion (231) can be relatively increased compared to when the first inductor is not connected. For example, the switch circuit (1420) can electrically connect a second inductor having a second inductance value greater than the first inductance value to the first side portion (231), in which case the electrical length of the antenna (501) including the first side portion (231) can be relatively increased compared to when the first inductor is connected. For example, the switch circuit (1420) can connect a capacitor having a first capacitance value to the first side portion (231).In this case, the electrical length of the antenna (501) including the first side portion (231) can be relatively reduced compared to the case where the capacitor is not connected.
[0280] According to one embodiment, as the switch circuit (1420) is turned on and off, the electronic device (101) can secure electrical paths having various electrical lengths, and can transmit and / or receive RF signals of multiple frequency bands. For example, when the switch circuit (1420) is turned off, a third electrical path (1481) may be formed. For example, when the switch circuit (1420) is turned on, the ground (530) may be electrically connected to the first side portion (231) through the third conductive connecting member (1413) and the second protrusion (1322). In this case, a fourth electrical path (1482) may be formed. As the electrical path based on the antenna (501) changes from the third electrical path (1481) to the fourth electrical path (1482), the electrical length of the electrical path based on the antenna (501) may become relatively shorter. When the electrical length is shortened, the resonant frequency of RF signals can shift to a relatively high frequency band, and the electronic device (101) can implement multiple frequency bands.
[0281] For example, a change in the electrical length of the antenna (501) may be referred to as a change in the length of at least one of the first electrical path (521) or the second electrical path (522) on which the antenna (501) is based.
[0282] The term “switch circuit” in the present disclosure may be replaced with a matching circuit, a matching element, a switching circuit, or a switch module.
[0283] FIG. 15 is a CC' cross-sectional view of the side member of FIG. 14 according to one embodiment.
[0284] Referring to FIG. 15, a switch circuit (1420) according to one embodiment may be formed or placed on a third conductive path (673). For example, the switch circuit (1420) may be formed on a third conductive path (673) that electrically connects a ground (530) of a first printed circuit board (310) and a third conductive connecting member (1413).
[0285] Although FIG. 15 of the present disclosure illustrates that the switch circuit (1420) is formed on the third conductive path (673), this is merely an example and may be replaced with various expressions. For example, the switch circuit (1420) may be a component included in the third conductive path (673). As another example, the switch circuit (1420) may be a component electrically connected to the third conductive path (673).
[0286] According to one embodiment, the third conductive path (673) can be electrically connected to the third conductive connection member (1413) through the second fill-cut area (1413a), and the ground (530) can be electrically connected to the third point (G3) of the side member (215) through the third conductive path (673), the switch circuit (1420), and the third conductive connection member (1413).
[0287] According to one embodiment, the first conductive path (371) can be electrically connected to the second conductive connection member (353) through the first fill-cut area (353a), and the wireless communication circuit (321) can supply power to the first point (F1) of the side member (215) through the first conductive line (361), the first conductive path (371) and the second conductive connection member (353).
[0288] FIG. 16 is a graph of the radiation efficiency of an antenna including a home and side key according to a lumped element connected to a third conductive path according to one embodiment.
[0289] Referring to FIG. 16, a first graph (1610) according to one embodiment is a radiation efficiency graph of an antenna (501) including a groove (250) and a side key (217) when the switch circuit (1420) does not electrically connect the second protrusion (1322) to the ground (530). A second graph (1620) is a radiation efficiency graph of an antenna (501) including a groove (250) and a side key (217) when the switch circuit (1420) electrically connects the second protrusion (1322) to the ground (530) through a first inductor having a first inductance value (e.g., about 3.9 nH). The third graph (1630) is a radiation efficiency graph of an antenna (501) including a groove (250) and a side key (217) when the switch circuit (1420) electrically connects the second protrusion (1322) to ground (530) through a second inductor having a second inductance value (e.g., about 1 nH).
[0290] Comparing the first graph (1610) and the second graph (1620), it can be seen that the second graph (1620), which corresponds to the case where the first inductor is electrically connected to the third conductive path (673), is drawn at a relatively higher frequency band than the first graph (1610), which corresponds to the case where the second protrusion (1322) is not connected to the ground (530). For example, the first graph (1610) shows a maximum radiation efficiency value at a frequency of about 3 GHz, whereas the second graph (1620) shows a maximum radiation efficiency value at a frequency of about 3.5 GHz.
[0291] Comparing the first graph (1610) and the third graph (1630), it can be seen that the third graph (1630), which corresponds to the case where the second inductor is electrically connected to the third conductive path (673), is drawn at a relatively higher frequency band than the first graph (1610), which corresponds to the case where the second protrusion (1322) is not connected to the ground (530). For example, the first graph (1610) shows a maximum radiation efficiency value at a frequency of about 3 GHz, whereas the third graph (1630) shows a maximum radiation efficiency value at a frequency of about 4.5 GHz.
[0292] For example, the electronic device (101) can adjust the operating frequency band of the antenna (501) including the home (250) and the side key (217) by controlling the electrical connection of the lumped elements included in the switch circuit (1420) and the third conductive path (673). For example, the switch circuit (1420) can change the operating frequency band of the antenna (501) by adjusting the electrical length of the antenna (501).
[0293] FIG. 17 is a drawing illustrating a C-clip connecting a side member and a wireless communication circuit according to one embodiment.
[0294] Referring to FIG. 17, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a connection structure (1753) (e.g., a C-clip). For example, the connection structure (1753) may be positioned between the first protrusion (420) and the side key (217).
[0295] According to one embodiment, the connection structure (1753) can electrically connect the side member (215) and the wireless communication circuit (321). For example, the connection structure (1753) can electrically connect the first protrusion (420) and the first conductive path (371) of the side key (217). Since the first conductive path (371) is connected to the wireless communication circuit (321), the wireless communication circuit (321) can be connected to the first protrusion (420) of the side member (215) through the connection structure (1753).
[0296] In FIG. 6 of the present disclosure, a second conductive connecting member (353) (e.g., a conductive gasket) connects the first protrusion (420) and the first conductive path (371), whereas in FIG. 17 of the present disclosure, a connecting structure (1753) (e.g., a C-clip) can connect the first protrusion (420) and the first conductive path (371).
[0297] Although FIGS. 6 and 17 of the present disclosure illustrate that a second conductive connecting member (353) or connecting structure (1753) is positioned between the second connecting portion (352) and the first protrusion (420), this is merely an example.
[0298] For example, the second conductive connection member (353) or connection structure (1753) may be omitted, and the first conductive path (371) and the first protrusion (420) may be coupled or electromagnetically connected. In this case, the wireless communication circuit (321) may couple and supply power to the first protrusion (420) through the first conductive path (371). In this case, if the distance between the first conductive path (371) and the first protrusion (420) is longer than a distance at which coupling connection is possible, a separate coupler may be arranged between the first conductive path (371) and the first protrusion (420).
[0299] For example, the second conductive connecting member (353) or connecting structure (1753) may be omitted, and the first conductive path (371) and the first protrusion (420) may be directly connected through ultrasonic welding.
[0300] FIG. 18 is a drawing illustrating a supporting member including a conductive material and supporting a side key according to one embodiment.
[0301] Referring to FIG. 18, an electronic device (101) according to an embodiment may include a support member (1810). For example, the support member (1810) may be positioned to contact the rear surface of the side key (217) (e.g., the rear surface (217b) of FIG. 3b) and may secure the side key (217) within the groove (250).
[0302] In one embodiment, the support member (1810) may include a conductive material. For example, the entire support member (1810) may be formed of the conductive material.
[0303] According to one embodiment, the support member (1810) may include a hole (1821) into which a first connecting portion (351) of a first conductive connecting member (350) is inserted. For example, when the side key (217) is inserted into the groove (250), the first conductive connecting member (350) of the side key (217) may be inserted into the hole (1821) and connected to the connector (312).
[0304] According to one embodiment, the support member (1810) may be formed integrally with or joined to the side member (215).
[0305] In one embodiment, the support member (1810) may be at least partially spaced from the side member (215), and a non-conductive material or dielectric may be positioned between the support member (1810) and the side member (215).
[0306] FIG. 19 is a drawing illustrating a side key inserted into a hole of a support member including a conductive material according to one embodiment.
[0307] Referring to FIG. 19, a side key (217) according to one embodiment can be moved in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) and coupled to a groove (250). The side key (217) positioned within the groove (250) can come into contact with a support member (1810) including a conductive material, and can be fixed within the groove (250) by the support member (1810).
[0308] For example, when an impact or pressure is applied from the outside to the electronic device (101), the side key (217) can be fixed within the home (250) as the support member (1810) supports the side key (217).
[0309] Fig. 20 is a cross-sectional view taken along line DD' of the first side portion of Fig. 19.
[0310] Referring to FIG. 20, a support member (1810) according to one embodiment may be positioned in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) with respect to the side key (217).
[0311] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a fixing member (2010), and the fixing member (2010) may be positioned in a first direction (e.g., -x direction) with respect to the support member (1810). For example, the fixing member (2010) may support the support member (1810) or fix a side key (217) disposed within the groove (250) within the groove (250).
[0312] In one embodiment, the fixing member (2010) may comprise a non-conductive material. For example, the fixing member (2010) may be formed of an injection-molded material. For example, the fixing member (2010) may fix the support member (1810) and the side key (217).
[0313] Although FIG. 20 of the present disclosure describes the electronic device (101) as including a support member (1810) and a fixing member (2010), this is merely an example. The support member (1810) and the fixing member (2010) may be replaced with the terms “first support member” and “second support member,” respectively. As another example, the support member (1810) and the fixing member (2010) may be replaced with the terms “first fixing member” and “second fixing member,” respectively.
[0314] In the present disclosure, the term “support member (1810)” may be replaced with the term “support plate”, “support substrate”, “plate” or “substrate”.
[0315] Figure 21 is a drawing comparing the side key before and after it is inserted into the home.
[0316] Referring to FIG. 21, a support member (1810) according to an embodiment may include a first part (2111) and a second part (2112). For example, the first part (2111) may be a part that contacts the rear surface of the side key (217) (e.g., the rear surface (217b) of FIG. 3B) to support the side key (217). The second part (2112) may be a part that extends from the first part (2111) to support the first part (2111). For example, the first part (2111) may be a part that secures the side key (217) within the groove (250), and the second part (2112) may be a part that supports the first part (2111) so that the first part (2111) can be coupled with the first side portion (231).
[0317] According to one embodiment, a hole (1821) may be formed in the second part (2112). For example, the second part (2112) of the support member (1810) may include a hole (1821) for inserting a first connection portion (351) of the first conductive connection member (350).
[0318] FIG. 22 is a diagram illustrating a wireless communication circuit that supplies power to a conductive portion of a side key through a connecting member other than a first conductive connecting member according to one embodiment.
[0319] Referring to FIG. 22, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a connecting member (2210), and / or a wireless communication circuit (2221), a ground (2222).
[0320] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a connecting member (2210). For example, the electronic device (101) may include a connecting member electrically connected to the side key (217) in addition to the first conductive connecting member (350). For example, the connecting member may be at least one of an FPCB, a printed circuit board, or a FRC.
[0321] According to one embodiment, the connecting member (2210) may include a first fill-cut area (2211), a ground connection portion (2212), a first conductive connection path (2231), and / or a second conductive connection path (2232). For example, the first fill-cut area (2211) and the ground connection portion (2212) may be areas where conductive lines formed on the connecting member (2210) (e.g., FPCB) are exposed to the outside. For example, the first fill-cut area (2211) may be an area where the first conductive connection path (2231) is exposed.
[0322] According to one embodiment, the wireless communication circuit (2221) can power the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217) through the first fill-cut area (2211). For example, the wireless communication circuit (2221) can power a point of the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217) through a first conductive connection path (2231) and a connection structure (1753) (e.g., a C-clip) exposed on the first fill-cut area (2211). For example, the first conductive connection path (2231) can be exposed on the first fill-cut area (2211), and the first conductive connection path (2231) can be connected to the conductive portion (341) through the connection structure (1753). In this case, the wireless communication circuit (2221) can transmit and / or receive RF signals of a designated frequency band by supplying power to the conductive portion (341) through the first conductive connection path (2231) and the connection structure (1753).
[0323] According to one embodiment, the ground (2222) can be electrically connected to a fourth point (G4) of the side member (215) via the ground connection portion (2212). [0325] However, the location where the wireless communication circuit (2221) is placed is not limited to the connection member (2210), and the wireless communication circuit (2221) may be placed on a component other than the connection member (2210) (e.g., the first printed circuit board (310)).
[0326] According to one embodiment, the ground (2222) may be formed on or within the connecting member (2210). For example, the wireless communication circuit (2221) may be formed in at least one of the plurality of conductive layers of the connecting member (2210).
[0327] However, the location where the ground (2222) is formed is not limited to the connecting member (2210), and the ground (2222) may be formed in various electrical materials (e.g., the first printed circuit board (310)) included in the electronic device (101).
[0328] According to one embodiment, an electrical path may be formed between the conductive portion (341) and the first side portion (231) formed with the groove (250) as the wireless communication circuit (2221) supplies power to the conductive portion (341) of the side key (217). The wireless communication circuit (2221) may transmit and / or receive RF signals based on the electrical path.
[0329] Although FIG. 22 of the present disclosure illustrates that the wireless communication circuit (2221) supplies power to the conductive portion (341), this is merely an example.
