AI Technical Summary
During the production and manufacturing process of lithium-ion batteries, the battery cell shell is prone to deform after vacuuming out the internal gas, and the inside is in a negative pressure state, which can easily cause the electrolyte liquid spraying phenomenon.
A housing assembly is designed, including exhaust holes and liquid injection holes that penetrate the housing. The exhaust holes extend from the large holes to the small holes to improve exhaust efficiency. The liquid injection holes guide the electrolyte to the bottom of the battery cell through a multi-communication hole structure.
By simultaneously injecting and pumping liquid, the shell deformation and electrolyte liquid spraying are avoided, and the yield and production efficiency of the battery are improved.

Abstract
Description
Housing components and batteries
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on September 22, 2023, with application number 202322607890.X. The entire contents of the above application are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the field of battery technology, and in particular to a housing assembly and a battery. Background Art
[0003] Lithium battery technology is increasingly used in energy fields such as 3C consumer electronics, power batteries, and energy storage. It can be divided into three categories based on the packaging shell: stainless steel cylindrical batteries, aluminum or stainless steel square batteries, and soft-pack batteries. Among them, stainless steel cylindrical batteries are made of a combination of stainless steel and caps. The cap includes sealing rings, thermistors, exhaust valves and other components. The above components are often stacked. Compared with soft-pack batteries, stainless steel batteries have a more compact structure, which makes space utilization higher than soft-pack batteries, further improving the energy density of the battery.
[0004] At present, lithium-ion batteries need to be injected with electrolyte during the production process. At this stage, there is usually only an injection hole on the top cover of the lithium-ion battery. This injection hole has both vacuuming and injection functions, that is, the internal gas must be vacuumed out first, and the internal pressure of the battery cell must be in a negative state before the electrolyte can be injected. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] However, after the internal gas is evacuated, the battery cell shell is easily deformed, and the negative pressure inside is also likely to cause electrolyte spraying.
[0006] In a first aspect, the present application provides a housing assembly, comprising:
[0007] shell;
[0008] an exhaust hole extending through the casing and provided at one end of the casing; and
[0009] The liquid injection hole passes through the shell and is arranged at the other end of the shell.
[0010] In a second aspect, the present application provides a battery, comprising:
[0011] battery cells; and
[0012] As in the above-mentioned housing assembly, the battery cell is located inside the housing assembly. Beneficial effects
[0013] The housing assembly provided in the present application has a housing cavity for accommodating a battery cell. An exhaust hole and an injection hole are provided at each end of the housing, communicating with the cavity, to simultaneously inject liquid and evacuate air. The exhaust hole extends from the first end to the second end, and the aperture of the exhaust hole gradually decreases in the direction of extension of the exhaust hole, thereby improving exhaust efficiency. The injection hole also includes a first connecting hole, a second connecting hole, and a third connecting hole with a guiding function, which guide the flow direction of the electrolyte and guide the electrolyte to the bottom of the battery cell during injection. The two holes work together to prevent deformation of the housing. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0023] A possible implementation of the present application provides a housing assembly and a battery, which are described in detail below.
[0024] 1A and 1B are schematic structural diagrams of a housing assembly provided by a possible implementation of the present application.
[0025] 1A and 1B , a possible implementation of the present application provides a housing assembly 100 , wherein the housing assembly 100 includes a housing 10 ;
[0026] an exhaust hole 20 penetrating the housing 10 and disposed at one end of the housing 10; and
[0027] The liquid injection hole 30 passes through the housing 10 and is provided at the other end of the housing 10 .
[0028] Specifically, the shell assembly 100 includes a shell 10, and the material of the shell 10 includes but is not limited to one of stainless steel or aluminum alloy materials, so as to ensure the safety of the shell. An injection hole 30 is provided at one end of the shell 10, and the electrolyte is injected into the battery cell from the injection hole 30. An exhaust hole 20 is provided at the other end of the shell 10, and the internal gas is discharged from the exhaust hole 20. Both injection and exhaust can be carried out at the same time. When the electrolyte flows to the bottom of the battery cell, the gas flows to the top of the battery cell, and the internal space of the battery cell gradually decreases, which promotes the circulation of internal gas, thereby accelerating the gas discharge and improving the battery yield.
[0029] FIG2 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the exhaust hole provided by a possible implementation of the present application.
[0030] Please refer to FIG. 2 . In a possible implementation of the present application, the housing 10 assembly further includes a hollow exhaust guide portion 21 , one end of which is connected to the exhaust hole 20 .
[0031] Specifically, the other end of the exhaust guide 21 extends away from the accommodating cavity, and the exhaust guide 21 has a certain length for guiding the exhaust. The length size is set according to the actual application and is not specifically limited in this application, as long as it can guide the exhaust normally and does not affect the operation of the battery.
[0032] In a possible implementation of the present application, the housing 10 has a housing cavity for accommodating the battery cell; the exhaust hole 20 is connected to the housing cavity; the exhaust hole 20 includes a first end 201 and a second end 202, the first end 201 is close to the housing cavity, and the second end 202 is away from the housing cavity, and the aperture of the second end 202 is smaller than the aperture of the first end 201.
[0033] Specifically, the exhaust hole 20 may be funnel-shaped, but is not limited thereto.
[0034] In a possible implementation of the present application, the exhaust hole 20 extends from the first end 201 to the second end 202 to the accommodating cavity and is connected to the accommodating cavity. In the extending direction of the exhaust hole 20, the aperture of the exhaust hole 20 gradually decreases.
[0035] Specifically, the flow rate of the gas is greater than the flow rate of the liquid, and the gradually decreasing aperture of the exhaust hole 20 makes it easier to adjust the exhaust rate of the gas and avoid deformation of the housing 10 .
[0036] 3A and 3B are schematic structural diagrams of the liquid injection hole provided by possible implementations of the present application.
[0037] Please refer to Figures 1A to 3B. In a possible implementation of the present application, the liquid injection hole 30 includes a first connecting hole 301, a second connecting hole 302 and a third connecting hole 303. The second connecting hole 302 connects the first connecting hole 301 and the third connecting hole 303 respectively, and the third connecting hole 303 connects the accommodating cavity. The apertures of the first connecting hole 301 and the third connecting hole 303 are larger than the aperture of the second connecting hole 302.
[0038] Please refer to FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B . In a possible implementation of the present application, the diameter of the first communication hole 301 is smaller than or equal to the diameter of the third communication hole 303 .
[0039] Specifically, the diameter of the third connecting hole 303 is larger than the diameter of the first connecting hole 301, which helps diffuse the electrolyte when it is injected into the battery cell, thereby improving injection efficiency. Alternatively, the diameter of the third connecting hole 303 can be equal to the diameter of the first connecting hole 301. This application does not impose any specific limitations on possible implementations, and actual applications will determine the specific implementation.
[0040] In a possible implementation of the present application, the corners connecting the first connecting hole 301 , the second connecting hole 302 , and the third connecting hole 303 are rounded corners A.
[0041] Specifically, the corner connecting the first connecting hole 301 and the second connecting hole 302 is rounded A; the corner connecting the second connecting hole 302 and the third connecting hole 303 is rounded A. The radius of rounded corner A ranges from greater than 0.1 mm to less than 1 mm. The cross-section of the first connecting hole 301 includes, but is not limited to, an elliptical, circular, or polygonal shape; the cross-section of the second connecting hole 302 includes, but is not limited to, an elliptical, circular, or polygonal shape; and the cross-section of the third connecting hole 303 includes, but is not limited to, an elliptical, circular, or polygonal shape. The radius of rounded corner A can be selected based on actual needs.
[0042] It should be noted that, in the actual process of injecting electrolyte into the interior of the battery using the injection hole 30, the electrolyte flows from the first connecting hole 301 into the second connecting hole 302, and then into the third connecting hole 303. Therefore, in the actual process of injecting electrolyte into the interior of the battery using the injection hole 30, even if there is electrolyte remaining in the injection hole, it can flow into the electrolyte pool of the battery based on the fact that the corners connecting the first connecting hole 301, the second connecting hole 302 and the third connecting hole 303 are chamfered corner A structures, thereby avoiding the residue of electrolyte in the injection hole.
[0043] It can be understood that a possible implementation method of the present application is to set the corners connecting the first connecting hole 301, the second connecting hole 302 and the third connecting hole 303 to be a chamfered corner A structure, so that in the actual process of injecting electrolyte into the battery using the injection hole 30, the electrolyte is guided, and the electrolyte flows from the injection hole 30 to the bottom of the battery. At the same time, the gas flows to the exhaust hole 20, and the exhaust hole 20 is used for exhaust.
[0044] It should be noted that in a possible implementation of the present application, the corners connecting the first connecting hole 301, the second connecting hole 302 and the third connecting hole 303 are rounded corners A for illustration. In another possible implementation, the corners connecting the first opening and the second opening can be, for example, an obtuse angle. The angle of the obtuse angle can be selected according to actual needs, and the possible implementation of the present application does not impose any specific restrictions on this.
[0045] In a possible implementation of the present application, the housing 10 further includes a hollow liquid injection guide portion 31 , one end of which is connected to the liquid injection hole 30 , and the end of the liquid injection guide portion 31 away from the liquid injection hole 30 is funnel-shaped.
[0046] Specifically, the other end of the injection guide portion 31 extends away from the accommodating cavity, and the injection guide portion 31 has a certain length for injection. The length size is set according to actual application and is not specifically limited in this application, as long as it can be injected normally without affecting the operation of the battery.
[0047] Specifically, the end of the liquid injection guide portion 31 away from the liquid injection hole 30 is funnel-shaped, but the present invention is not limited thereto, as long as it can improve the liquid injection efficiency.
[0048] FIG4 is a schematic diagram of a housing provided by a possible implementation of the present application.
[0049] Referring to FIG. 4 , in a possible implementation of the present application, a housing 10 of a housing assembly 100 includes:
[0050] A first top cover 101, a second top cover 102 and a shell body 103, wherein the first top cover 101 and the second top cover 102 are respectively arranged at the two ends of the shell body 103, and the shell body 103, the first top cover 101 and the second top cover 102 enclose a receiving cavity; wherein, one of the exhaust hole 20 and the liquid injection hole 30 is arranged on the first top cover 101, and the other is arranged on the second top cover 102.
[0051] Specifically, the first top cover 101 and the second top cover 102 can be detachably installed at both ends of the shell body 103, or can be fixedly installed at both ends of the shell body 103. The specific implementation depends on the actual application and is not limited in the possible implementation methods of this application.
[0052] Specifically, the exhaust hole 20 can be provided on the first top cover 101, and the injection hole 30 can be provided on the second top cover 102; or, the exhaust hole 20 can be provided on the second top cover 102, and the injection hole 30 can be provided on the first top cover 101. The specific application shall prevail and this application does not impose any restrictions.
[0053] A possible implementation of the present application provides a battery, which includes a battery cell and a housing assembly 100 in any possible implementation of the present application, wherein the battery cell is located in a receiving cavity of the housing assembly 100 .
[0054] In a possible implementation of the present application, the battery cell includes a main body and poles located on opposite sides of the main body, the two poles are respectively connected to the two ends of the main body, and one end of the two poles away from the main body protrudes from the first top cover 101 and the second top cover 102.
[0055] In a possible implementation of the present application, the vents 20 and injection holes 30 are provided on both upper sides of the housing 10. The upper sides may, for example, be in the opposite direction of the electrolyte flow. The electrolyte flows toward the bottom of the battery cell. The vents 20 and injection holes 30 are provided on both upper sides opposite to the electrolyte flow, so that the injection pressure avoids the battery cell and avoids damage to the battery cell. The electrolyte flows to the bottom of the battery cell, the internal space of the battery cell gradually decreases, and the gas flows to the top of the battery cell and is discharged through the vents 20, preventing deformation of the housing 10.
[0056] In possible implementations of the present application, the battery can be applied to electrical equipment in various fields such as automobiles, aircraft, and mechanical production equipment to provide electrical energy for the electrical equipment, and has strong practicality.
[0057] In summary, a possible implementation of the present application provides a shell assembly and a battery having at least the following working process or principle: the shell has a housing cavity for accommodating a battery cell, and both ends of the shell are provided with an exhaust hole and a liquid injection hole connected to the housing cavity, the exhaust hole is used to discharge the gas in the battery cell, and the liquid injection hole is used to inject electrolyte into the battery cell, and both can perform liquid injection and gas extraction at the same time to avoid deformation of the shell and electrolyte spraying. The exhaust hole extends from the first end to the second end, and the aperture of the exhaust hole gradually decreases in the extension direction of the exhaust hole, thereby improving the exhaust efficiency. The liquid injection hole includes a first connecting hole, a second connecting hole and a third connecting hole with a guiding function. The corners connecting the first connecting hole, the second connecting hole and the third connecting hole are rounded corners A, which guide the flow direction of the electrolyte. The rounded corner A also has the function of avoiding the residual electrolyte in the injection hole when the electrolyte enters the injection hole, and guiding the electrolyte to flow to the bottom of the battery cell. When the electrolyte flows to the bottom of the battery cell, the gas flows to the top of the battery cell, and the internal space of the battery cell gradually decreases, which promotes internal gas circulation and accelerates gas discharge. The two work together to improve battery yield and production efficiency.
