Abstract
Description
[0001] Device for conveying products
[0002] State of the art
[0003] The invention relates to a device for conveying products, in particular food products, with at least one conveying unit, wherein the conveying unit comprises at least one drive shaft, a supporting structure, a conveyor belt and a guide unit
[0004] Such devices are often used to transport food products such as meat, cheese, or sausage in portions or as a whole from one machine to another. Typically, such a device is arranged between a slicing device and a packaging machine, with the portioned food products being transported via the device to the packaging machine. A conveyor belt is driven by a drive shaft, so that the food products are transported in one conveying direction to the desired destination. To increase the flow of food products and, under certain circumstances, to transport different food products simultaneously, such devices frequently comprise multiple conveyor units driven by a drive shaft.Using only one drive shaft for all conveyor units saves the effort of providing a separate drive and control for each conveyor unit.
[0005] It is particularly desirable to design these conveyor units with tilting capabilities. This advantageously allows for height differences to be compensated for, or for food products at different heights to be transferred to a subsequent machine. For example, it is conceivable to sort out food portions that do not meet certain requirements and not transport them to a subsequent packaging machine. For this purpose, the support structure is designed as a tilting table.
[0006] Such rocker tables are known from the prior art and are pivotably mounted around the drive shaft. Wear and friction losses occur particularly when multiple conveyor units are pivotally mounted on the drive shaft. Furthermore, such devices are often operated at high speeds, which intensifies the negative effects. Furthermore, the large number of bearings required to pivot multiple conveyor units simultaneously on the drive shaft requires a high degree of manufacturing precision for the relevant components. Furthermore, the bearings require sealing, as the food industry's application places particularly stringent hygiene demands. Furthermore, access to the middle conveyor belts is particularly difficult due to the conveyor units mounted in series on the drive shaft. As a result, such systems are highly complex, expensive to manufacture, and difficult to maintain or clean.
[0007] To circumvent these problems, the prior art discloses conveyor units with articulated arm assemblies on the support structure, wherein the articulated arm assemblies are movably mounted on a support element spaced apart from the drive shaft. The pivotability is thus achieved by the articulated arm assembly, whereby the articulated arm assembly forces rotation about a virtual axis of rotation. However, this virtual axis of rotation remains the axis of rotation of the drive shaft. However, an articulated arm assembly requires significantly more installation space, and this space is very limited, especially when multiple conveyor units are used. Furthermore, the articulated arm assemblies must be dismantled for maintenance and repair work, and in addition, the complexity is only marginally improved by an articulated arm assembly.
[0008] Against this background, the task is to provide a more compact and simpler device which at the same time enables simplified maintenance and repair.
[0009] Disclosure of the invention
[0010] The object is achieved by a device for conveying products, in particular food products, with at least one conveyor unit, wherein the conveyor unit comprises at least one drive shaft, a support structure, a conveyor belt and a guide unit, wherein the conveyor belt can be driven by means of the drive shaft, wherein the support structure is connected to the device by means of a length-adjustable support element, wherein the guide unit comprises a guide element and a counter-guide element, wherein the guide element is fixedly connected to the device and the counter-guide element is connected to the support structure in a rotationally fixed manner, wherein the guide element engages with the counter-guide element in such a way that the support structure can be rotated about a virtual axis of rotation generated by the guide unit by means of a change in the length of the support element.
[0011] The device according to the invention has the advantage that one or more conveyor units can be pivoted about a respective virtual axis of rotation by means of an arrangement of a guide element and a counter-guide element. The device according to the invention is designed to be compact and, due to its low complexity, can be easily maintained or repaired. The device according to the invention only requires a support element for a conveyor unit, which can be understood as the drive for the rotational movement, and the guide unit, which can specify the rotational movement about a virtual axis of rotation. The guide unit can advantageously be integrated directly into the conveyor unit in order to make the device even more compact.
[0012] The device according to the invention has at least one conveyor unit, wherein the conveyor unit has at least one drive shaft, a support structure, a conveyor belt and a guide unit. It is conceivable for a conveyor unit to have several conveyor belts arranged parallel to one another in order to increase the product flow. Furthermore, the support structure can be designed in one piece or in multiple pieces. The conveyor unit can have at least one conveying direction, wherein it is conceivable for the conveyor belt to be able to be driven forwards and backwards. Essentially, the conveyor unit can transport a food product or a food portion from a first machine to a second machine, wherein it can be advantageous, particularly in the event of complications, for the conveyor belt to be able to be moved counter to the actual conveying direction.According to the invention, the conveyor unit has a length-adjustable support element, wherein the support element can preferably be adjusted continuously in length. The support element establishes a direct connection between the support structure of the respective conveyor unit and the device. Furthermore, the support element, in combination with the guide unit, ensures that the support structure can be pivoted relative to the device. For this purpose, the guide unit comprises at least one guide element and a counter-guide element. The at least one guide element is connected to the device in a stationary and / or rotationally fixed manner, such that this guide element cannot move or rotate relative to the device. It is conceivable that the guide element is, in particular, screwed or welded to the device.Furthermore, the support structure has a counter-guide element, wherein the counter-guide element and the guide element engage with each other in such a way that the support structure can be forced into rotation about a virtual axis upon a change in length of the support element. Preferably, either the guide or the counter-guide element is designed such that the support structure rotates about a fixed virtual axis of rotation. It is conceivable that the virtual axis of rotation lies outside the conveyor unit. Preferably, the virtual axis of rotation is spaced from the axis of rotation of the drive shaft. Advantageously, the support structure is rotated about a virtual axis of rotation in such a way that no additional stresses occur on the respective conveyor belts of the respective conveyor units.
[0013] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the device has a plurality of conveyor units, wherein the conveyor units are arranged substantially parallel to one another. The plurality of conveyor units preferably have substantially parallel conveying directions. Advantageously, the product flow can be increased with a plurality of conveyor units. Alternatively, it is conceivable for the conveyor units to be arranged in such a way that they supply different packaging machines. Each conveyor unit has at least one support element. Thus, the conveyor units are particularly preferably individually pivotable. It is also conceivable for the plurality of conveyor units to be driven jointly via a drive shaft. Alternatively, a conveyor unit can also have a separate drive. Furthermore, it is conceivable for a portion of the conveyor units to be driven via a drive shaft. For example, it would be conceivable for a first half of the multiple conveyor units to be driven by a first drive shaft, and the second half by a second drive shaft. This could, for example, allow different speeds to be achieved for different food products.
[0014] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the guide unit comprises several, in particular two, guide elements and counter-guide elements. Advantageously, the several guide elements create stability in the conveyor unit. Furthermore, the rotational movement can be initiated by changing the length of the support element, whereby the several guide elements can create a controlled and more stable rotation around the virtual axis.
[0015] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the guide element has a slotted bore or is designed as a bolt, wherein the counter-guide element is designed as a bolt if the guide element has the slotted bore, or has a slotted bore if the guide element is designed as a bolt. If the guide element has a slotted bore, it is preferably designed as a plate, wherein the plate can have a main extension plane. The main extension plane can be arranged parallel to the conveying direction and / or the support structure. The slotted bore can be introduced into the guide element either as a through-bore or as a recess. Suitable for this, the support structure can have a bolt, wherein the bolt is preferably arranged within the slotted bore. The bolt can be connected to the support structure in a rotationally fixed manner and have no direct connection to the device or the guide element. A direct connection to the device would prevent any relative movement of the support structure to the device. Alternatively, the guide element can be designed as a bolt. The bolt can be fixedly connected to the device. To match this, the counter-guide element can have a slotted hole. If the counter-guide element has a slotted hole, it is preferably designed as a plate, wherein the plate can have a main extension plane. The main extension plane can be arranged parallel to the conveying direction and / or the support structure. The slotted hole can be introduced into the guide element either as a through-hole or as a recess.Particularly preferably, the bolt is guided through the elongated hole and is firmly connected to the device on both sides of the conveyor unit parallel to the conveying direction. This enables the most stable rotation possible. Preferably, the elongated hole forces the bolt, which can move freely in the hole or recess, to follow the shape of the elongated hole, especially when the support structure is moved by the support element.
[0016] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, a guide element has a plurality of elongated holes or bolts and / or the counter-guide element has a plurality of bolts or elongated holes.
[0017] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the elongated hole extends substantially parallel to a conveying direction of the conveying unit and has a radius of curvature, wherein the radius of curvature is defined relative to a center of curvature, wherein the center of curvature is the virtual axis of rotation. Preferably, the elongated hole is curved with a radius (radius of curvature) around a center of curvature, wherein the elongated hole can be merely a part of the arc length of the circle with the defined radius. Preferably, the elongated hole spans an angular range of a circular sector of 0-90°, in particular of 0-60°, of the circle with the radius of curvature. The curvature of the elongated hole can thus define the virtual axis of rotation, since the elongated hole forces the counter-guide element, for example the bolt, into the desired rotation around the center of curvature. If the guide unit has multiple guide elements configured as elongated holes, the multiple elongated holes are preferably arranged at different radii of curvature around the same center of curvature. At least one counter-guide element can then be assigned to each elongated hole. This advantageously allows the virtual axis of rotation to remain unchanged, but the stability of the rotation can be further increased, particularly for heavier goods to be transported and wide conveyor units.
[0018] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the guide element is arranged substantially perpendicular to the counter-guide element. The counter-guide element is preferably arranged substantially perpendicular to the guide element to enable the most uniform rotation of the entire conveyor unit around the virtual rotation axis. Furthermore, increased local wear and the risk of jamming of the two elements can be reduced by angularly positioning them relative to each other.
[0019] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the conveyor unit has at least one deflection roller, wherein the deflection roller is connected to the conveyor belt in such a way that the conveyor belt is kept under tension. The deflection roller can serve to maintain or generate tension in the conveyor belt. Furthermore, the deflection roller can also enable the deflection of the conveyor belt, so that the conveyor unit is designed to be as compact as possible and, in particular, a wrap angle range of the conveyor belt on the drive shaft can be set between 30 and 270°. Preferably, at least one deflection roller is arranged on the surface of the support structure in such a way that the conveyor belt runs essentially parallel to the support structure and is preferably only a short distance from the support structure.
[0020] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the virtual rotation axis corresponds to the rotation axis of the deflection pulley. Preferably, the tension of the conveyor belts is primarily adjusted by means of the deflection pulley or pulleys. The virtual rotation axis can be adjusted as desired by the guide unit, wherein the rotation axis of a deflection pulley is advantageously selected as the virtual rotation axis. Particularly preferably, the rotation axis of a deflection pulley is selected as the virtual rotation axis such that the rotation of the support structure has no or only a minimal effect on the tension in the conveyor belt. In order to maximize the durability of such a conveyor unit, it can be advantageous not to generate increased tension on the conveyor belts. In a further embodiment of the invention, the conveyor unit has an additional or alternative deflection roller that is movably mounted. The deflection roller can be fixed in a desired position. This allows the tension in the conveyor belt to be either increased or decreased, or the conveyor belt to be more easily removed from the conveyor unit. This can, in particular, improve the cleaning and maintenance of the conveyor unit.
[0021] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the guide element is fixedly connected to the device by means of a connecting element. The connecting element can be selected depending on the guide element in question.
[0022] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the support element comprises a cylinder arrangement, in particular a pneumatic cylinder, or a spindle arrangement, wherein the support element is driven in such a way that a change in the length of the support element is adjustable. The support element is preferably formed from a driving element and a driven element. Furthermore, the support element can comprise a drive, wherein the drive drives the driving element in such a way that the driven element moves relative to the driving element. Cylinder arrangements such as pneumatic cylinders are particularly conceivable here. The cylinder can be the driving element here, with compressed air being introduced into the cylinder so that the piston (driven element) is moved out of the cylinder arrangement. Alternatively, the support element can also comprise a spindle arrangement. The support element is, in particular, continuously adjustable.
[0023] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the support element is connected to the support structure by means of an elongated bore. This allows an offset between the support structure and the support element to be compensated for during a rotational movement of the support structure without introducing additional stresses into the conveyor unit. For this purpose, either the support structure or the support element can have the bore, and the respective other element can have a counter element. Preferably, the counter element is arranged substantially perpendicular to the bore in which the counter element is movably mounted. The counter element is preferably designed as an axle.
[0024] Further details and advantages of the invention will be explained below with reference to the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawings. Figure 1 shows a side sectional view of a first exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention;
[0025] Fig. 2 is a side sectional view of a second embodiment of the device according to the invention;
[0026] Fig. 3 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the device with two conveyor units and one support element each; and
[0027] Fig. 4 shows the embodiment of Fig. 3 in an isometric view from above.
[0028] Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the device 1 according to the invention. The device 1 can transport any product, in particular food products. Such a device 1 is preferably placed between two machines in order to transport the products from a first machine via the device 1 to a second machine. In this case, the first machine can be a slicer machine, for example, and the second machine can comprise a packaging machine, for example. The slicer machine can cut a product, in particular a food product such as cheese, sausage or meat, into desired portions, whereby these portions must be conveyed to the respective packaging machine. In this case, it may be desirable to design the device 1 such that the support structure 3 is rotatable. The support structure 3 can thus be designed as a rocker table. This advantageously makes it possible, for example, to supply different inputs of a subsequent machine, to compensate for height differences or to sort out product waste.
[0029] For this purpose, the device 1 according to the invention comprises at least one conveyor unit 2, wherein the conveyor unit 2 comprises at least one drive shaft 5, a support structure 3, a conveyor belt 4 and a guide unit 6. The drive shaft 5 is preferably designed to be stationary on the device 1 and drives the conveyor belt 4. The axis of rotation of the drive shaft 5 is marked with a cross in Fig. 1. Furthermore, the conveyor unit 2 has a length-adjustable support element 9, wherein the support element 9 connects the support structure 3 to the device 1. According to the invention, the combination of the length-adjustable support element 9 and a guide unit 6 enables targeted rotation about a virtual axis of rotation 20 generated by the guide unit 6. A rotational movement of the support structure 3 is indicated in Fig. 1 with an arrow, whereby this represents only one direction of movement and does not exclude other directions of movement. The support element 9 moves the support structure 3, with the guide unit 6 forcing this movement into a targeted rotation around the virtual rotation axis 20. This is achieved in particular by the support structure 3 having a rotationally fixed counter-guide element 8 and the device 1 having a stationary guide element 7. Thus, a rotatable support structure 3 can be provided by only the support element 9 and the guide element 7 in conjunction with the counter-guide element 8, with the conveyor unit 2 being designed compactly. Furthermore, maintenance or assembly work is easy to accomplish due to the low complexity of the device 1.
[0030] From Fig. 1 it is clear that the guide element 7 is in engagement with the counter-guide element 8. In addition, a first position of the counter-guide element 8' and a second position of the counter-guide element 8" are shown. Correlating to this, Fig. 1 shows the first position of the support structure 3' and a second position of the support structure 3". The support element 9 is extended, whereby a rotational movement of the support structure 3 from the first position 3' to the second position 3" is possible (rotation indicated by an arrow). For this purpose, the counter-guide element 8 is moved from the first position 8' to the second position 8". The counter-guide element 8 is moved along a trajectory predetermined by the guide element 7.
[0031] In the present embodiment, the guide element 7 is designed as a slotted hole. The counter-guide element 8 is designed as a bolt or axle that engages with the guide element 7. The guide element 7 is stationary and can additionally or alternatively also be rotationally fixed, so that the counter-guide element 8 must follow the trajectory of the guide element 7. The trajectory is preferably predetermined by a radius of curvature of the slotted hole, with the center of curvature of the radius of curvature defining the virtual axis of rotation 20 of the support structure 3. This can be located outside or inside the conveyor unit 2. Particularly preferably, the virtual axis of rotation 20 is placed in a deflection pulley 10, so that the tension in the conveyor belt 4 does not increase significantly during a rotational movement of the support structure. The embodiment shows several deflection pulleys 10.At least one deflection roller 10' can be designed to be detachable in such a way that it is released during the rotational movement or for maintenance or cleaning measures and can be fixed again in a desired position of the support structure 3 or can even be completely removed, so that no undesirable high tensions act on the conveyor belt 4 during rotation.
[0032] The guide element 7 can be designed as a plate, wherein the plate has a main extension plane that is substantially parallel to the conveying direction of the products on the conveyor unit 2. The shape of the plate can be selected arbitrarily. In Fig. 1, the plate of the guide element 7 has the shape of a circular sector with a central angle of approximately 60 degrees. Alternatively, the guide element 7 can also be designed as a bolt that is fixedly connected to the device 1. In this case, the support structure 3 has at least one rotationally fixed counter-guide element 8, which is designed as a plate with a slotted bore. The bolt extends substantially perpendicular to the conveying direction and parallel to a conveying plane. In particular, the bolt extends at least across the entire width of the conveyor unit 2.
[0033] Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of the device 1 according to the invention, wherein compared to Fig. 1 only the guide unit 6 and the support element 9 have changed. The guide element 7 is firmly connected to the device 1 by means of two connecting elements, in particular screws. It is also conceivable to weld the guide element 7. Advantageously, the connection of the guide element 7 to the device 1 is designed to be detachable, since this component can undergo mechanical wear. In addition, the guide unit 6 has two counter-guide elements 8 in the form of bolts. Only a side view of the embodiment is shown here, so that only one side of the device 1 can be seen. The device 1 can, for example, also have a second guide element 7 on the other side of the conveyor unit 2.The combination of several guide and counter-guide elements increases the stability of the support structure 3 during rotation. Preferably, a guide element 7 is arranged on each of the sides of the conveyor unit 2 parallel to the conveying direction, wherein these are arranged to one another such that one or more counter-guide elements 8 engage essentially perpendicularly with the respective guide elements 7. Furthermore, it is conceivable that further guide elements 7 are arranged between the guide elements 7 arranged on the respective outer sides of the conveyor unit, in particular equidistant from one another. For this purpose, a conveyor unit 2 would have to have several conveyor belts 4, since the guide elements 7 must be fixedly connected to the device 1 by the conveyor belts 4. Here, the guide elements 7 would each be arranged on the outside and between the several conveyor belts 4.Preferably, the bolt, which is designed either as a guide or counter-guide element 7, 8, extends across the width between the two elongated holes, which are designed as guide or counter-guide elements 7, 8. Particularly preferably, the bolt also extends across the width between the two elongated holes and additionally across the width of the respective element, so that the bolts are countered from the outside with an additional element in such a way that the bolts do not fall out of the elongated hole.
[0034] Furthermore, Fig. 2 shows the connection of the support element 9 to the support structure 3. Here, the support element 9 has a slotted hole which engages with a counter element. This mobility along the slotted hole makes it possible to compensate for the offset of the support structure caused by the rotational movement. In Fig. 2, the support element 9 has a cylinder arrangement, a pneumatic cylinder being used in the present case. A piston can be extended using compressed air, the piston or a cylinder being fixedly connected to the device 1 so that the movement is passed on to the support structure 3. Alternatively, the support element 9 can also comprise a spindle arrangement, a drive driving a spindle such that a driven element is extended. The driven element has a thread matching the spindle. The support element 9 can thus be controlled, in particular, continuously.
[0035] Fig. 3 shows an isometric view of an embodiment of the device 1. Here, the device 1 has two conveyor units 2, which are arranged essentially parallel to one another relative to the conveying direction. Furthermore, the connection of the support element 9 to the support structure 3 is shown in more detail. A counter element 12 is designed as a bolt or axle. The support element 9 is arranged centrally below the support structure 3 and has a bore 11. The bore 11 is designed in particular as an elongated hole, with the counter element 12 being movably mounted in the bore. A conveyor unit 2 has at least one support element 9 and one counter element 12.
[0036] Alternatively, the support element 9 can comprise a bolt, which is movably mounted in a bore 11 in the support structure 3. For this purpose, the support structure 3 has at least one bore 11 on each of the sides substantially parallel to the conveying direction.
[0037] Furthermore, the counter element 12 in both of the above-mentioned embodiments is preferably designed substantially perpendicular to the respective bore 11.
[0038] Additionally, Fig. 3 shows the detachable deflection roller 10', which is designed to be removable. The deflection roller 10' rests merely in a recess, with the conveyor belt 4 resting on the deflection roller 10' in such a way that the deflection roller 10' is pressed into the recess 10' during operation.
[0039] Fig. 4 shows an isometric view of the embodiment of the device 1 shown in Fig. 3 from above. Here, the essentially parallel conveyor units 2 are again shown. The conveyor units 2 are spaced closely apart so that the device 1 can be designed as compactly as possible. The multiple conveyor units 2 are preferably adjustable separately from one another.
