Abstract
Description
[0001] TRAY FOR PRODUCTS WITH INTEGRATED DIVIDERS FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002]
[0001] The present invention describes a tray for products with integrated dividers. More specifically, it comprises a tray designed to store products, primarily food products, including refrigerated garlic bread at low temperature and high humidity. Furthermore, the tray can also be applied in ambient temperature and humidity conditions and can be used to package various types of products, food or otherwise, as long as they suit the packaging constructiveness.
[0003]
[0002] This new construction aims to replace Styrofoam / plastic trays with cardboard trays, offering sustainability gains due to being manufactured with material from renewable and recyclable sources. Furthermore, when compared to Styrofoam / plastic trays, cardboard trays have a smaller volume, taking up less space and resulting in gains in transportation and storage logistics.
[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0005]
[0003] Garlic bread storage trays are containers specially designed to keep the product fresh and preserved in refrigerated conditions. The concept of these trays is to provide a suitable solution for storing the product at low temperatures and high humidity, extending its shelf life and maintaining its quality.
[0006]
[0004] These trays are designed for use in refrigerators or cold rooms, where temperature and humidity are maintained at levels suitable for food preservation. They are generally made of durable, refrigeration-safe materials such as plastic or expanded polystyrene (EPS), which help insulate and preserve the product from the external environment. These trays generally have dividers to separate the garlic breads, allowing them to be displayed vertically at the point of sale.
[0007]
[0005] These trays are designed to meet specific storage needs in refrigerated environments, providing food safety and practicality.
[0008]
[0006] However, the present inventor, seeking to improve this packaging model, developed a tray with integrated dividers, manufactured from a single piece of corrugated cardboard, equipped with a set of panels, cutting points, and folding points that allow practicality and ease of assembly, resulting in a product manufactured with raw materials from renewable and recyclable sources. Furthermore, the tray has a smaller volume when compared to Styrofoam / plastic trays, resulting in gains in transportation and storage logistics, allowing a larger quantity of trays to be transported per container and taking up less storage space. Because of its smaller volume, this tray also allows for a smaller master carton, reducing raw material consumption and costs.
[0009]
[0007] In research carried out in the state of the art, we identified several documents that claim trays for food products, where we can highlight the following documents:
[0010]
[0008] Document USD759479 (World Centric. 2015) describes a tray not made of corrugated cardboard and which provides for the use of independent dividers to segregate products, which makes transportation and storage logistics difficult.
[0011]
[0009] Document JP2022095261 (Toppan. 2020) describes a lightning-shaped paper container for freezing food products, but it does not have separation items to segregate the products inside the tray.
[0012]
[0010] Document US5353984 (Liu Yuan, 1993) describes a non-slip paperboard container for food products made from a single piece of cut paperboard, with embossed folding lines and heat sealed to form a container. However, it does not have separating elements to segregate the products inside the tray, in addition to having a larger gross area, consuming a greater amount of raw material for its production. It also uses cardboard laminated with polyethylene in its manufacture.
[0013]
[0011] Document BR3020170023665 (Copobras. 2017) describes a tray made of plastic with an ornamental pattern different from that developed in cardboard.
[0014]
[0012] Document BR3020220037451 (Companhia Sulamericana. 2022) describes a tray not made of cardboard with an ornamental pattern different from that developed in cardboard.
[0015]
[0013] Thus, the present invention encompasses a tray with integrated dividers, manufactured from a single piece of corrugated cardboard, equipped with a set of panels, flaps, and folding points that allow for practicality and ease of assembly, resulting in a sustainable product that promotes logistics and storage gains by reducing packaging volume. This tray was developed primarily to store food products, such as garlic bread, refrigerated at low temperatures and high humidity. This new design aims to replace Styrofoam / plastic trays with cardboard trays, offering sustainability gains due to its manufacture with material from a renewable and recyclable source. [0032] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0033]
[0030] The tray for products with integrated dividers, which is the object of the present invention, comprises a tray (100) equipped with a panel (10) equipped with flaps (20)(20A)(30)(30A) and a set of dividers (11).
[0034]
[0031] The panel (10), with chamfered corners, is equipped with a set of dividers (1 1) equipped with folding points (1 11) and cutting points (112) that result in small trapezoidal locks (12) that are opened and are projected to form the internal dividers for separating the product.
[0035]
[0032] The flaps (20)(20A) are linked to the panel (10) through folding points (21)(21A) and provided with tabs (22)(22A) through folding points (221)(221 A). The flaps (22)(22A) are slightly arched and provided with a folding point (222)(222A) that allow the arrangement and positioning next to the chamfer of the panel (10) and the fixing with the flaps (30)(30A).
[0033] The flaps (30)(30A) are linked to the panel (10) through a folding point (31)(31A), allowing the folding in the vertical position for the fixing and gluing of the flaps (22)(22A).
[0036]
[0034] The tray (100) is assembled by folding the flaps (20)(20A) so that the flaps (22)(22A) are positioned and glued together with the flaps (30)(30A) forming the tray structure. Thus, before positioning the product, the set of dividers (11) is activated so that the trapezoidal locks (12) are projected, allowing separation between the products.
[0037]
[0035] In a second construction modality, a tray (200) is described, equipped with a panel (10) and a set of flaps (20)(20A)(30)(30A), said panel having a set of dividers (11A) that have locks (12A), folding points (1 11 A) and cutting points (112A) and dividers (1 1 B) equipped with locks (12B) with folding points (11 1 B) and cutting points (112B), allowing the formation of some more dividing points inside the tray, with the aim of storing smaller products, such as, for example, garlic bread balls.
[0036] The trays (100)(200) and dividers (11 )(1 1 A)(1 1 B) may be formed with the aid of a mold, and may be transported disassembled from the packaging manufacturer to the producer, taking up less space and avoiding damage to the structure of the dividers.
[0038]
[0037] Trays (100)(200) may have different amounts of locks (12)(12A)(12B) and dividers (1 1)(11A)(11 B), depending on the amount of products to be packaged.
[0039]
[0038] Optionally, the cardboard used in the manufacture of these trays (100)(200) may receive a treatment to provide a barrier to grease and moisture.
