[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This disclosure is based on the Chinese patent application with application number 202311265770.4, application date September 27, 2023, and invention name “A battery and electrical device”, and claims the priority of the Chinese patent application. The entire content of the Chinese patent application is hereby introduced into the present disclosure as a reference. Technical Field
[0003] The present disclosure relates to the field of battery technology, and in particular to a battery and an electrical device. Background Art
[0004] In recent years, batteries, as a crucial component of the new energy industry, have received increasing attention. New energy batteries are finding increasingly widespread application in daily life and industry. For example, battery-powered new energy vehicles are already widely used, and batteries are also increasingly being used in energy storage applications.
[0005] The battery includes a container and a plurality of battery cells. The plurality of battery cells are arranged in the container and are electrically connected to each other in series or parallel to realize charging and discharging.
[0006] The housing of the battery cell is provided with components having various functions, and therefore, a protrusion is formed on the outer contour of the housing.
[0007] The presence of the protrusions causes the maximum three-dimensional dimension of the battery cell to be larger than the maximum three-dimensional dimension of the housing. To fully accommodate the battery cell, the space inside the housing box must be larger than the maximum three-dimensional dimension of the battery cell. This increases the overall three-dimensional dimensions of the battery, hindering battery layout and space utilization.
[0008] Summary of the Invention
[0009] In view of this, embodiments of the present disclosure aim to provide a battery and an electrical device that can reduce the size.
[0010] To achieve the above objectives, the technical solution of the embodiment of the present disclosure is implemented as follows:
[0011] An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a battery, which includes a storage box and a battery cell. The storage box is provided with a storage cavity, and the battery cell is arranged in the storage cavity. The storage box is provided with an avoidance area, which protrudes in a direction away from the battery cell to form a boss, so that the inner wall of the corresponding storage cavity is recessed to form a storage groove, and a protrusion is formed on the outer surface of the battery cell, and at least a portion of the protrusion is located in the storage groove.
[0012] The battery in the embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with an avoidance area on the storage box so that the protrusion on the battery cell can extend into the storage groove, thereby helping to reduce the distance between other areas of the inner wall of the storage cavity and the battery cell, and helping to reduce the volume of the storage cavity; and by forming a boss, it is helpful to make the thickness of the avoidance area consistent with the thickness of other areas on the storage box, thereby helping to reduce the thickness of other areas on the storage box, and further helping to reduce the three-dimensional dimensions of the storage box, reducing the overall volume of the battery, and facilitating improving the energy density and space utilization of the battery.
[0013] In some embodiments, the height of the boss is no more than twice the height of the raised portion in the receiving groove.
[0014] In this way, while meeting the requirement that the space of the accommodating groove can accommodate the protrusion, the size of the boss is reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the outer contour size and volume of the battery, improving the adaptability of the battery, and facilitating the improvement of the battery's energy density and space utilization.
[0015] In some embodiments, the distance between the sidewall of the receiving groove and the protrusion is no greater than 30 mm. This helps reduce the size of the protrusion, thereby reducing the outer dimensions and volume of the battery, improving the battery's fit, and facilitating increased energy density and space utilization.
[0016] In some embodiments, a pole is provided on the protrusion, and the pole is located in the receiving groove and spaced apart from the inner wall of the receiving groove.
[0017] In this way, on the one hand, the pole is separated from the storage box, which reduces the risk of short circuit in the pole and the probability of the battery colliding with the pole due to vibration, collision, etc. during operation, thereby protecting the pole; on the other hand, components such as busbars can be arranged in the gap to achieve the purpose of meeting the normal operation of the battery while improving the space utilization of the storage tank.
[0018] In some embodiments, the spacing between the bottom wall of the receiving tank and the terminal post is no greater than 20 mm. This reduces the risk of the terminal post short-circuiting due to contact with the receiving tank, and reduces the chance of the battery colliding with the terminal post due to vibration, collision, etc. during operation. Furthermore, components such as a busbar can be arranged between the two, improving the space utilization of the receiving tank.
[0019] In some embodiments, there are multiple battery cells, and the multiple battery cells are divided into at least one group. The number of the avoidance areas is the same as the number of groups of battery cells, and the protrusions of the battery cells in each group are located in the same receiving groove.
[0020] In this way, on the one hand, it is helpful to reduce the number of bosses, thereby reducing the manufacturing steps of the bosses, reducing the assembly difficulty during battery assembly, and improving the efficiency of manufacturing operations; on the other hand, it is also convenient to use the same receiving slot to realize the electrical connection of each battery cell in the same group.
[0021] In some embodiments, the battery cells in each group are divided into two parallel rows, and the battery cells in the two rows are arranged in the same direction. The protrusion of each battery cell is located in the same receiving groove, and the protrusion is located at one end of the battery cell close to the battery cells in the other row.
[0022] In this way, only an avoidance area needs to be set up on the receiving box to accommodate the protrusions in two rows of battery cells, which is beneficial to reducing the number of bosses, thereby reducing the manufacturing steps of the bosses, reducing the assembly difficulty during the battery assembly process, and improving the efficiency of the manufacturing operation; at the same time, it is convenient to achieve high-voltage connection between battery cells in different rows through the same receiving slot.
[0023] In some embodiments, at least one group of the battery cells is arranged along the length direction of the container, and the avoidance areas corresponding to the group of battery cells are symmetrically arranged with respect to a first central plane in the width direction of the container.
[0024] In this way, it is beneficial to form a large flat area on both sides of the outer surface of the storage box with a boss along the width direction of the boss, which is convenient for arranging other components with larger outer contour dimensions in the battery in this area, providing convenience for the arrangement of other components in the battery.
[0025] In some embodiments, at least one group of the battery cells is arranged along a first direction, and at least one group of the battery cells is arranged along a second direction, and the first direction is orthogonal to the second direction.
[0026] In this way, on the one hand, the adaptability to the sizes of different types of battery cells can be improved; on the other hand, the two groups of battery cells arranged in two orthogonal directions can further strengthen the strength of the battery, thereby improving the overall structural strength of the battery.
[0027] In some embodiments, the number of the protrusions is two, each of the protrusions is provided with a pole with opposite polarity, the two protrusions are respectively located at one end of the battery cell along the length direction of the battery cell, and the number of the avoidance areas is at least two, so that the two protrusions on the battery cell are respectively located in different receiving grooves.
[0028] In this way, the probability of short circuit caused by electrical connection between poles of different polarities due to reasons such as accidental contact is reduced, thereby improving the safety of battery use.
[0029] In some embodiments, the plurality of battery cells are arranged in a row along a first direction, there are two avoidance areas and both extend along the first direction, the two avoidance areas are respectively located at one end of the container along a second direction, and the first direction and the second direction are orthogonal.
[0030] In this way, a relatively large flat area is formed between the two avoidance areas, which facilitates the arrangement of other components in the battery with relatively large outer contour dimensions in the area, thus providing convenience for the arrangement of other components in the battery.
[0031] In some embodiments, the plurality of battery cells are divided into two rows and arranged side by side, the battery cells in each row are arranged along a first direction, the avoidance area extends along the first direction, the avoidance area is multiple and includes a first sub-area and a second sub-area, the second sub-area is located between the two first sub-areas and is spaced apart from the two along the second direction, the two first areas are respectively located at one end of the containing box along the second direction, one of the protrusions of the battery cells in each row is located in the containing groove corresponding to the first sub-area, and the other protrusion and one of the protrusions of the battery cells in another row are located together in the containing groove corresponding to the first sub-area, and the first direction and the second direction are orthogonal.
[0032] In this way, it is easy to adapt to battery cells of different sizes along the second direction, and it is easy to electrically connect battery cells in different rows through the busbars.
[0033] In some embodiments, the battery includes a busbar, the number of the battery cells is multiple, the multiple battery cells are divided into at least one group, the battery cells in each group form a row, the protrusion is provided with a pole, the number of the poles is two and the polarities are opposite, the busbar electrically connects the two poles of opposite polarities of two adjacent battery cells in each group, the poles of two adjacent battery cells in each group are correspondingly arranged so that the poles of the battery cells in each group are arranged to form two rows, and the polarities of the poles in each row are the same. In this way, the battery cells of the same model are arranged in a unified arrangement direction, which is conducive to simplifying the model of the battery cells in the battery, simplifying the battery process, and reducing production costs;
[0034] Alternatively, the polarities of two adjacent poles in each row are opposite, so that the distance between two poles with opposite polarities of adjacent battery cells in the same group is shortened, thereby facilitating shortening the connection length of the busbar.
[0035] An embodiment of the present disclosure further provides an electrical device, which includes the battery in the aforementioned embodiment, and the battery serves as a power source for the electrical device.
[0036] In this way, the above-mentioned electrical device, by adopting the battery in the above-mentioned embodiment, is conducive to improving the energy density and space utilization of the battery. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0072] The following describes the embodiments of the present disclosure in detail.
[0073] The battery cells have a housing with components such as explosion-proof valves and terminals mounted on it. These components protrude from the outer contour of the housing, forming protrusions on the housing. These protrusions cause the maximum dimension of the battery cells along the protruding direction of the protrusions to be larger than the dimensions of the housing along that direction. To accommodate these batteries with protrusions, the sidewalls of the internal space of the battery container must be larger than the maximum dimension of the battery cells along that direction. This creates a gap between the sidewalls of the internal space and the housing, wasting space within the container and increasing the overall volume of the battery.
[0074] The embodiment of the present disclosure aims to provide a battery, wherein a boss is provided on a storage box of the battery, and a space is provided inside the boss that is connected to a storage cavity in the storage box to accommodate the protrusion of the battery cell located in the storage cavity, thereby facilitating reducing the three-dimensional size of the storage box and improving space utilization.
[0075] Specifically, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a battery 10. Referring to Figures 1 to 4, the battery 10 includes a storage box 11 and a battery cell 12. The storage box 11 is provided with a storage cavity 11a, and the battery cell 12 is arranged in the storage cavity 11a. The storage box 11 is provided with an avoidance area 11b, and the avoidance area 11b protrudes in a direction away from the battery cell 12 to form a boss 111, so that the inner wall of the corresponding storage cavity 11a is recessed to form a storage groove 11c, and a protrusion 121 is formed on the outer surface of the battery cell 12, and at least a portion of the protrusion 121 is located in the storage groove 11c.
[0076] The storage box 11 forms a storage cavity 11a for accommodating the battery cell 12, providing movement protection for the battery cell 12. At the same time, a heat dissipation device and a heating device can be provided in the storage box 11 to provide a suitable working temperature for the battery cell 12.
[0077] The battery cell 12 , also known as a battery cell, refers to the smallest unit in the battery 10 that can generate electrical energy.
[0078] The number of battery cells 12 in the battery 10 is not limited and can be one or more. The multiple battery cells 12 are electrically connected in series or in parallel via the busbar 13 to achieve synchronous charging and discharging of the battery cells 12 .
[0079] The battery cell 12 includes a shell, an electrode assembly, a pole 122 and an explosion-proof valve. The shell provides installation space for the electrode assembly and plays a protective role. At the same time, the shell is used to fill the electrolyte. The electrode assembly is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator. During the charge and discharge process of the battery cell 12, the active ions (such as lithium ions) in the electrolyte are embedded and extracted back and forth between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and an electrochemical reaction occurs. The separator is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, which can prevent the positive and negative electrodes from short-circuiting and allow active ions to pass through. The pole 122 is provided on the shell and is electrically connected to the electrode assembly to conduct the current generated by the electrode assembly. The explosion-proof valve can be opened selectively to open and release pressure in the event of thermal runaway of the electrode assembly, thereby reducing the probability of explosion of the battery cell 12.
[0080] The protrusion 121 on the surface of the battery cell 12 is a structure protruding from the outer surface of the housing. The specific form of the protrusion 121 is not limited, for example, an explosion-proof valve, a terminal 122, etc.
[0081] The avoidance area 11b is formed with a boss 111 and a receiving groove 11c, wherein the receiving groove 11c is used to accommodate the protrusion 121. The receiving groove 11c and the boss 111 are formed on the inner and outer surfaces of the receiving box 11 at the same position, which helps to make the thickness of the avoidance area 11b consistent with the thickness of other areas of the receiving box 11.
[0082] The battery 10 in the embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with an avoidance area 11b on the accommodating box 11, so that the protrusion 121 on the battery cell 12 can extend into the accommodating groove 11c, thereby facilitating the reduction of the distance between other areas of the inner wall of the accommodating cavity 11a and the battery cell 12, and facilitating the reduction of the volume of the accommodating cavity 11a; and by forming a boss 111, it is facilitated to make the thickness of the avoidance area 11b consistent with the thickness of other areas on the accommodating box 11, thereby facilitating the reduction of the thickness of other areas on the accommodating box 11, and further facilitating the reduction of the three-dimensional dimensions of the accommodating box 11, reducing the overall volume of the battery 10, and facilitating the improvement of the energy density and space utilization of the battery 10.
[0083] The battery 10 can be used in, but is not limited to, electrical devices such as vehicles, ships, or aircraft. A power supply system for the electrical device can be composed of battery cells, batteries, and the like in the disclosed embodiments.
[0084] The battery 10 can also be used, but is not limited to, in energy storage power systems, vehicles, ships, aircraft, and other electrical devices. Using batteries can provide a higher total energy. Furthermore, the battery 10 is formed by placing multiple battery cells 12 in a sealed enclosure, which provides more reliable dust and water resistance. Therefore, it can be used in harsh, humid, and even submerged environments.
[0085] The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an electrical device including the battery 10 or the battery 10 for providing electrical energy. The electrical device may be, but is not limited to, a mobile phone, a tablet, a laptop computer, an electric toy, an electric tool, a battery-powered vehicle, an electric car, a ship, a spacecraft, etc. The electric toy may include a fixed or mobile electric toy, such as a game console, an electric car toy, an electric ship toy, and an electric airplane toy, etc. The spacecraft may include an airplane, a rocket, a space shuttle, and a spacecraft, etc.
[0086] In the following embodiments, for the convenience of description, the electric device of one embodiment of the present disclosure is taken as an example of a vehicle 1000. The following description is made with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0087] Figure 25 is a schematic structural diagram of a vehicle 1000 provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure. The vehicle 1000 may be a fuel vehicle, a gas vehicle or a new energy vehicle. The new energy vehicle may be a pure electric vehicle, a hybrid vehicle or an extended-range vehicle, etc. As shown in Figure 25, a battery 10 is provided inside the vehicle 1000. The battery 10 may be provided at the bottom, head or tail of the vehicle 1000. The battery 10 may be used to power the vehicle 1000. For example, the battery 10 may serve as an operating power source for the vehicle 1000. The vehicle 1000 may further include a controller 200 and a motor 300. The controller 200 is used to control the battery 10 to power the motor 300, for example, for starting, navigating and operating power requirements of the vehicle 1000 during driving.
[0088] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the battery 10 can serve not only as an operating power source for the vehicle 1000 , but also as a driving power source for the vehicle 1000 , replacing or partially replacing fuel or natural gas to provide driving power for the vehicle 1000 .
[0089] The battery 10 may include multiple battery cells 12, which may be connected in series, in parallel, or in a hybrid configuration. A hybrid configuration refers to a combination of series and parallel configurations within the battery cells 12. The battery cells 12 may be directly connected in series, in parallel, or in a hybrid configuration, and then placed within the container 11. The battery 10 may also include other structures, such as a busbar 13 for electrically connecting the multiple battery cells 12.
[0090] In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the battery cell 12 may be a secondary battery. A secondary battery refers to a battery cell 12 that can be continuously used by activating active materials by charging after the battery cell 12 is discharged.
[0091] The battery cell 12 can be a lithium ion battery, a sodium ion battery, a sodium lithium ion battery, a lithium metal battery, a sodium metal battery, a lithium sulfur battery, a magnesium ion battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, a nickel cadmium battery, a lead storage battery, etc., which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0092] As an example, the battery cell 12 can be a cylindrical battery cell, a prismatic battery cell, a soft-pack battery cell or a battery cell of other shapes. The prismatic battery cell includes a square-shell battery cell, a blade-shaped battery cell, a polygonal battery, and a polygonal battery such as a hexagonal battery. There is no special limitation in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0093] The battery 10 in some embodiments of the present disclosure is described in detail below.
[0094] It is understandable that the protrusion 121 may be entirely located in the accommodating groove 11 c or partially located in the accommodating groove 11 c.
[0095] The specific method of forming the receiving groove 11 c and the boss 111 in the avoidance area 11 b is not limited. For example, the receiving box 11 is made of metal, and the receiving groove 11 c and the boss 111 are formed at one time by a stamping process.
[0096] It can be understood that the protruding direction of the boss 111 is the same as the sinking direction of the accommodating groove 11 c.
[0097] In some embodiments, referring to FIG3 , the height of the boss 111 is no more than twice the height of the portion of the protrusion 121 in the receiving groove 11 c .
[0098] The height of the boss 111 refers to the maximum dimension of the boss 111 protruding from the outer surface of the battery cell 12 along the protruding direction.
[0099] The height of the portion of the protrusion 121 in the receiving groove 11 c refers to the dimension of the protrusion 121 in the receiving groove 11 c along the protruding direction of the boss 111 .
[0100] In this way, while meeting the requirement that the space of the accommodating groove 11c can accommodate the protrusion 121, the size of the boss 111 is reduced, which is beneficial to reducing the outer contour size and volume of the battery 10, improving the adaptability of the battery 10, and facilitating improving the energy density and space utilization of the battery 10.
[0101] The specific multiple relationship between the height of the protrusion 121 in the receiving groove 11 c and the height of the boss 111 is not limited, for example, 1.2 times, 1.5 times, 2 times, etc.
[0102] It is understandable that in some embodiments, the edge of the open position of the receiving groove 11c is aligned with the portion of the battery cell 12 outside the protrusion 121, so that the protrusion 121 is completely located in the receiving groove 11c, thereby fully utilizing the space in the receiving groove 11c.
[0103] The specific method for measuring the height of the boss 111 is not limited. For example, the distance between the end surface of the boss 111 away from the other parts of the container 11 along the protruding direction and the outer surface of the container 11 can be measured using a vernier caliper.
[0104] The specific method for measuring the height of the protrusion 121 is not limited. For example, the distance between the end surface of the protrusion 121 away from the other parts of the battery cell 12 along the protruding direction of the boss 111 and the outer surface of the battery cell 12 can be measured using a vernier caliper.
[0105] In some embodiments, referring to FIG3 , the distance between the sidewall of the receiving groove 11 c and the protrusion 121 is no greater than 30 mm (millimeter). In other words, L3 ≤ 30 mm.
[0106] The side wall of the receiving groove 11 c refers to a portion of the inner wall of the receiving groove 11 c that is perpendicular to the sinking direction of the receiving groove 11 c.
[0107] This is beneficial for reducing the size of the boss 111 , thereby reducing the outer dimensions and volume of the battery 10 , improving the adaptability of the battery 10 , and facilitating improving the energy density and space utilization of the battery 10 .
[0108] It can be understood that a gap of a certain size is formed between the side wall of the accommodating groove 11c and the protrusion 121, thereby reducing the probability of interference between the two during the installation of the battery 10 and reducing the difficulty of assembly; and other components of the battery 10 can be arranged in the gap formed, thereby improving the space utilization of the accommodating groove 11c.
[0109] The specific size of the distance between the side wall of the receiving groove 11c and the protrusion 121 is not limited, for example, 5mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, etc.
[0110] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 3 , a post 122 is provided on the protrusion 121 . The post 122 is located in the receiving groove 11 c and is spaced apart from the inner wall of the receiving groove 11 c .
[0111] In this way, on the one hand, the pole 122 is separated from the receiving box 11, which reduces the risk of short circuit of the pole 122 and the probability of the battery 10 colliding with the pole 122 due to vibration, collision, etc. during operation, thereby protecting the pole 122; on the other hand, components such as the busbar 13 can be arranged in the gap, thereby achieving the purpose of satisfying the normal operation of the battery 10 while improving the space utilization of the receiving slot 11c.
[0112] In some embodiments, referring to FIG3 , the distance between the bottom wall of the receiving groove 11 c and the terminal 122 is no greater than 20 mm. In other words, L4 ≤ 20 mm.
[0113] The bottom wall of the receiving groove 11 c refers to a portion of the inner wall of the receiving groove 11 c that is away from the open position along the sinking direction of the receiving groove 11 c.
[0114] In this way, on the one hand, the risk of short circuit caused by contact between the pole 122 and the receiving box 11 is reduced, and the probability of the battery 10 colliding with the pole 122 due to vibration, collision, etc. during operation is reduced; on the other hand, components such as the busbar 13 can be arranged between the two, thereby improving the space utilization of the receiving slot 11c.
[0115] The specific size of the distance between the bottom wall of the accommodating groove 11 c and the terminal 122 is not limited, for example, 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, etc.
[0116] It is understandable that the specific arrangement of the protrusions 121 is related to the arrangement of the battery cells 12 .
[0117] Specifically, referring to FIG. 4 , there are multiple battery cells 12 , which are divided into at least one group. The number of avoidance areas 11 b is the same as the number of groups of battery cells 12 , and the protrusions 121 of each battery cell 12 in each group are located in the same receiving groove 11 c .
[0118] The battery cells 12 in each group are arranged in the same direction.
[0119] In this way, on the one hand, it is beneficial to reduce the number of bosses 111, thereby reducing the manufacturing steps of the bosses 111, reducing the assembly difficulty during the assembly of the battery 10, and improving the efficiency of the manufacturing operation; on the other hand, it is also convenient to use the same receiving groove 11c to realize the electrical connection of each battery cell 12 in the same group.
[0120] It is understandable that in each row of battery cells 12 , the battery cells 12 may be spaced apart from each other, or may be fitted together to improve space utilization.
[0121] It is understandable that the extension direction of the boss 111 and the receiving groove 11 c is the same as the arrangement direction of the corresponding group of battery cells 12 .
[0122] The specific number of groups formed by the battery cells 12 is not limited. For example, referring to Figures 1 and 4, multiple battery cells 12 are arranged in one group, and one protrusion 121 is provided correspondingly; for another example, referring to Figures 5 and 6, multiple battery cells 12 are arranged in two groups, and two protrusions 121 are provided correspondingly.
[0123] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 7 to 9, the battery cells 12 in each group are divided into two parallel rows, and the battery cells 12 in the two rows are arranged in the same direction. The protrusion 121 of each battery cell 12 is located in the same receiving groove 11c, and the protrusion 121 is located at one end of the battery cell 12 close to the other row of battery cells 12.
[0124] That is, the protrusions 121 of the two rows of battery cells 12 are located in the same receiving groove 11 c.
[0125] In this way, only an avoidance area 11b needs to be set on the receiving box 11 to accommodate the protrusions 121 in two rows of battery cells 12, which is beneficial to reducing the number of bosses 111, thereby reducing the manufacturing steps of the bosses 111, reducing the assembly difficulty during the assembly of the battery 10, and improving the efficiency of the manufacturing operation; at the same time, it is convenient to achieve high-voltage connection between battery cells 12 in different rows through the same receiving groove 11c.
[0126] The protrusion 121 of the battery cell 12 is located near one end of another row of battery cells 12 , which helps to reduce the distance between the protrusions 121 of the two rows of battery cells 12 , thereby helping to reduce the size of the boss 111 and the volume of the battery 10 .
[0127] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 10, 11, and 12, the battery cells 12 are divided into multiple groups. The battery cells 12 in each group are divided into two parallel rows arranged in the same direction. In each group of battery cells 12, the protrusion 121 of each battery cell 12 is located in the same accommodating groove 11c, and the protrusion 121 is located at the end of the battery cell 12 closest to the other row of battery cells 12. This facilitates accommodating battery cells 12 of different sizes within a given accommodating cavity 11a, thereby improving the space utilization of the accommodating cavity 11a.
[0128] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 6, 8, and 9, the battery 10 includes a reinforcing beam 114. The reinforcing beam 114 is disposed within the accommodating cavity 11a. The reinforcing beam 114 is located between two rows of battery cells 12 and connected to the inner walls of the accommodating cavity 11a on opposite sides. The reinforcing beam 114 extends in the same direction as the arrangement of at least one row of battery cells 12. Thus, the provision of the reinforcing beam 114 can improve the overall structural strength of the battery 10 and serve to separate different rows of battery cells 12 and constrain the positions of the battery cells 12.
[0129] It is understandable that the arrangement directions of the two rows of battery cells 12 on both sides of the reinforcing beam 114 may be the same, such as the embodiment shown in FIG. 9 ; or different, such as the embodiment shown in FIG. 14 .
[0130] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 , at least one group of battery cells 12 is arranged along the length direction of the container 11 , and the avoidance areas 11 b corresponding to the group of battery cells 12 are symmetrically arranged about the first center plane 11 d in the width direction of the container 11 .
[0131] The longitudinal direction of the storage box 11 refers to the direction of the longest dimension among the three-dimensional dimensions of the storage box 11 .
[0132] The width direction of the storage box 11 refers to a direction perpendicular to the length direction and the gravity direction of the storage box 11 in three dimensions.
[0133] The first center plane 11 d refers to a reference plane perpendicular to the width direction of the battery 10 and located at half the width of the battery 10 .
[0134] In this way, it is beneficial to form a large flat area on both sides of the width direction of the boss 111 on the outer surface of the storage box 11 with the boss 111, which is convenient for arranging other components with larger outer contour dimensions in the battery 10 in this area, providing convenience for the arrangement of other components in the battery 10.
[0135] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 4 , the battery cells 12 are arranged in a group along the length of the container 11, and the avoidance areas 11b corresponding to the battery cells 12 in the group are symmetrically arranged about a first center plane 11d in the width direction of the container 11. This facilitates the arrangement of the battery cells 12 with the poles 122 located in the middle of the length of the battery cells 12, thereby shortening the current transmission path.
[0136] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 4 , the length direction of the battery cell 12 is the width direction of the container 11 ; in other embodiments, referring to FIG. 12 , the length direction of the battery cell 12 is the length direction of the container 11 .
[0137] It is understandable that the battery cells 12 at both ends of each row of battery cells 12 along the arrangement direction respectively abut against the inner walls of the accommodating cavity 11 a on two opposite sides along the arrangement direction, so as to achieve the purpose of restricting the position of the battery cells 12 .
[0138] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 13 and FIG. 14 , at least one group of battery cells 12 is arranged along a first direction, and at least one group of battery cells 12 is arranged along a second direction, and the first direction is orthogonal to the second direction.
[0139] In this way, on the one hand, the adaptability to the sizes of different types of battery cells 12 can be improved; on the other hand, the two groups of battery cells 12 arranged in two directions orthogonal to each other can further strengthen the strength of the battery 10, thereby improving the overall structural strength of the battery 10.
[0140] The specific directions of the first direction and the second direction are not limited. For example, referring to FIG. 1 , the first direction is the length direction of the battery 10 , and the second direction is the width direction of the battery 10 .
[0141] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 18 and 19 , two groups of battery cells 12 are arranged along a first direction, and two groups of battery cells 12 are arranged along a second direction. Furthermore, in the two groups of battery cells 12 arranged in the same direction, the protrusions 121 are located at one end of the battery cell 12 that is closest to the other row of battery cells 12. This improves the overall structural strength of the battery 10 while also reducing the number of protrusions 111, facilitating high-voltage connections between battery cells 12 in different rows arranged in the same direction through the same receiving slot 11c.
[0142] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 4 , a group of battery cells 12 are arranged along the length direction of the battery 10 , and each battery cell 12 is in contact with the inner walls of the accommodating cavity 11 a on both sides along the width direction of the battery 10 , thereby effectively improving the space utilization efficiency in the accommodating cavity 11 a and facilitating improving the overall structural strength of the battery 10 .
[0143] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 15, 16 and 17, the number of protrusions 121 is two, each protrusion 121 is provided with a pole 122 with opposite polarity, the two protrusions 121 are respectively located at one end of the battery cell 12 along the length direction of the battery cell 12, and the number of avoidance areas 11b is at least two, so that the two protrusions 121 on the battery cell 12 are respectively located in different accommodating grooves 11c.
[0144] That is, the two poles 122 of different polarities are respectively located in different receiving slots 11 c.
[0145] The length direction of the battery cell 12 refers to the direction of the largest dimension among the three-dimensional dimensions of the battery cell 12 .
[0146] In this way, the probability of short circuit caused by electrical connection between the poles 122 of different polarities due to reasons such as accidental contact is reduced, thereby improving the safety of the battery 10.
[0147] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 17 , multiple battery cells 12 are arranged in a row perpendicular to the length of the battery cells 12, with the protrusions 121 on one side of the length of the battery cells 12 located within the same receiving slot 11c. This facilitates the polarity of the posts 122 on adjacent protrusions 121 within the same receiving slot 11c along the arrangement direction of the battery cells 12. This allows posts 122 of different polarities to be electrically connected within the same receiving slot 11c via the busbar 13, which helps reduce the size of the busbar 13 and simplify its arrangement.
[0148] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 15 to 17, multiple battery cells 12 are arranged in a row along the first direction, the number of avoidance areas 11b is two and both extend along the first direction, the two avoidance areas 11b are respectively located at one end of the storage box 11 along the second direction, and the first direction and the second direction are orthogonal.
[0149] In this way, a relatively large flat area is formed between the two avoidance areas 11 b, which facilitates the arrangement of other components with relatively large outer dimensions in the battery 10 , thereby facilitating the arrangement of other components in the battery 10 .
[0150] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 20, 21 and 22, multiple battery cells 12 are divided into two rows and arranged side by side, the battery cells 12 in each row are arranged along the first direction, the avoidance area 11b extends along the first direction, there are multiple avoidance areas 11b and include a first sub-area 11e and a second sub-area 11f, the second sub-area 11f is located between the two first sub-areas 11e and is spaced apart from the two along the second direction, the two first areas are respectively located at one end of the accommodating box 11 along the second direction, a protrusion 121 of the battery cell 12 in each row is located in the accommodating groove 11c corresponding to the first sub-area 11e, and another protrusion 121 and a protrusion 121 of the battery cell 12 in another row are located together in the accommodating groove 11c corresponding to the first sub-area 11e, and the first direction and the second direction are orthogonal.
[0151] The first sub-region 11 e refers to the protrusion 121 on one row of battery cells 12 accommodated in the corresponding accommodation groove 11 c and located away from the other row of battery cells 12 .
[0152] The second sub-region 11f refers to the protrusions 121 on one row of battery cells 12 accommodated in the corresponding accommodation groove 11c, which are close to the side of the battery cells 12 in another row, and one of the two protrusions 121 of each battery cell 12 is located therein.
[0153] That is, of the two protrusions 121 of each battery cell 12, one protrusion 121 is located in the receiving groove 11c corresponding to the first sub-region 11e, and the other protrusion 121 and the protrusions 121 of the battery cells 12 in another row are located in the receiving groove 11c corresponding to the second sub-region 11f.
[0154] In this way, it is convenient to adapt to battery cells 12 of different sizes along the second direction, and it is convenient to electrically connect battery cells 12 in different rows through the busbars 13 .
[0155] It can be understood that a larger flat area is formed between the two first sub-areas 11e and the second sub-area 11f, which makes it easier for other components with larger outer contour dimensions in the battery 10 to be arranged in this area, thereby providing convenience for the arrangement of other components in the battery 10.
[0156] The specific method of connecting the poles 122 of each battery cell 12 through the busbar 13.
[0157] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 23 , the battery 10 includes a busbar 13 , a plurality of battery cells 12 , the plurality of battery cells 12 being divided into at least one group, the battery cells 12 in each group forming a row, a pole 122 being provided on the protrusion 121 , the number of the poles 122 being two and having opposite polarities, the busbar 13 electrically connecting two adjacent battery cells 12 in each group with opposite polarities, the poles 122 of two adjacent battery cells 12 in each group being arranged correspondingly so that the poles 122 of the battery cells 12 in each group are arranged to form two rows, and the poles 122 in each row have the same polarity.
[0158] In this way, the battery cells 12 of the same model can be arranged in a unified arrangement direction, which is beneficial to simplifying the models of the battery cells 12 in the battery 10 , simplifying the process of the battery 10 , and reducing production costs.
[0159] It can be understood that, referring to FIG. 23 , the poles 122 of adjacent battery cells 12 in each group are electrically connected by using the current bus 13 in a beveled manner.
[0160] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 24 , the battery 10 includes a busbar 13 , the number of battery cells 12 is multiple, the multiple battery cells 12 are divided into at least one group, the battery cells 12 in each group form a row, and poles 122 are provided on the protrusion 121 . The number of poles 122 is two and the polarities are opposite. The busbar 13 electrically connects the two poles 122 of opposite polarities of two adjacent battery cells 12 in each group. The poles 122 of two adjacent battery cells 12 in each group are correspondingly arranged so that the poles 122 of the battery cells 12 in each group are arranged to form two rows, and the polarities of the two adjacent poles 122 in each row are opposite.
[0161] In this way, the distance between two poles 122 of opposite polarities of adjacent battery cells 12 in the same group is shortened, thereby facilitating shortening the connection length of the busbar 13 .
[0162] In some embodiments, referring to Figures 4, 9, 12, 14, 17, 19 and 22, the storage box 11 includes a box cover 112 and a box body 113. The box cover 112 is placed on the top of the box body 113 to jointly form a storage cavity 11a.
