Abstract
Description
Whole cabinet server
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on September 27, 2023, with application number 202311272064.2 and application name “Whole Cabinet Server”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The embodiments of the present application relate to the field of terminal technology, and in particular to a whole-cabinet server. Background Art
[0003] A whole-rack server consists of a cabinet and multiple server nodes. Multiple server nodes can be stacked vertically within the cabinet. Multiple whole-rack servers can be arranged side by side horizontally. As the power consumption of whole-rack servers increases, existing air cooling methods are increasingly unable to meet cooling requirements. Therefore, liquid cooling has become the mainstream cooling solution for whole-rack servers. Liquid cooling involves heat exchange between a liquid cooling medium and a heat source, with the cooling liquid then transferring the heat away. In related art, after a server node is installed and secured within the cabinet, it is necessary to manually connect the water pipe connector on the server node to the water pipe connector outside the cabinet using a hose. Simultaneously, it is necessary to manually connect the power supply connector on the server node to the power supply connector using a cable with an adapter plug. However, the manual connection of the power supply and liquid supply during the whole-rack server assembly process requires sufficient operating space behind the whole-rack server, resulting in a relatively large actual footprint for the whole-rack server, which is detrimental to space utilization in the computer room. Furthermore, this affects the efficiency of server node and cabinet assembly. Therefore, during the assembly process of server nodes and cabinets, how to improve assembly efficiency while reducing the actual floor space occupied by the entire cabinet server becomes an urgent problem to be solved.
[0004] Summary of the Invention
[0005] The embodiment of the present application provides a whole-cabinet server, which can improve the efficiency of assembling server nodes and cabinets and reduce the actual floor space occupied by the whole-cabinet server.
[0006] An embodiment of the present application provides a whole-cabinet server, which includes a cabinet and a server node.
[0007] The cabinet includes a cabinet body, a first backplane, and a second backplane. Both the first backplane and the second backplane are connected to the cabinet body. The cabinet body includes two side panels, which are spaced apart horizontally. The cabinet body has a front mounting opening. The first backplane includes a power bus, which is disposed facing the front mounting opening. The second backplane includes a liquid distribution pipeline, which is disposed facing the front mounting opening. The power bus includes a positive plate and a negative plate, which are spaced apart. The liquid distribution pipeline includes a first liquid inlet connector and a first liquid return connector. The server node includes a power connector and a liquid cooling blind-plug connector. Both the power connector and the liquid cooling blind-plug connector are disposed on the back of the server node. The power connector includes a first elastic connector and a second elastic connector. The liquid cooling blind-plug connector includes a second liquid inlet connector and a second liquid return connector. When the server node is inserted into the cabinet body through the front mounting opening and into the mounting position, the first elastic connector abuts the positive plate, while the second elastic connector abuts the negative plate. The second liquid inlet connector plugs into the first liquid inlet connector. The second liquid return connector plugs into the first liquid return connector.
[0008] In the whole cabinet server of the embodiment of the present application, the cabinet is provided with a power supply bus and a liquid distribution line, and the server node is provided with a power supply connector and a liquid cooling blind plug connector. The operator inserts the server node into the cabinet from the front of the cabinet. When the server node is inserted into the installation position of the cabinet, the first elastic connector and the second elastic connector in the power supply connector can be electrically connected to the positive plate and the negative plate respectively to achieve electrical connection between the server node and the power supply bus, and at the same time, the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector in the liquid cooling blind plug connector can be docked with the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector respectively to achieve connection between the server node and the liquid distribution line. Therefore, in the whole cabinet server of the embodiment of the present application, the operator only needs to insert the server node in the front of the cabinet so that the server node is installed and fixed in the installation position in the cabinet and the power supply and liquid supply connection operations of the server node are completed at the same time. Thus, the operator does not need to move to the back of the cabinet to manually perform the power supply and liquid supply connection operations, which is conducive to improving the efficiency of the assembly of the server node and the cabinet, and no additional space for personnel activities is required at the back of the cabinet arranged in the computer room of the data center, thereby reducing the actual floor space of the whole cabinet server.
[0009] In a possible implementation, the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate both extend in the vertical direction and are spaced apart in the horizontal direction.
[0010] The direction in which the positive and negative plates extend is the same as the stacking direction of the server nodes, so that the positive and negative plates arranged in the vertical direction can be easily electrically connected to each server node and can be electrically connected to the server nodes at any position.
[0011] In a possible implementation, the power supply bus further includes an insulating isolation column, one end of which is connected to the positive plate, and the other end of which is connected to the negative plate.
[0012] By using insulating isolation columns to connect the positive plate and the negative plate, on the one hand, it can help ensure the relative position stability of the positive plate and the negative plate, making it difficult for the positive plate and the negative plate to be displaced due to external forces, ensuring that the power supply connector and the power supply bus can be accurately connected; on the other hand, the insulating isolation columns can ensure that the positive plate and the negative plate maintain an effective insulation state, reducing the possibility of the positive plate and the negative plate coming into contact due to external forces and causing a short circuit.
[0013] In one possible embodiment, the first elastic connector includes two sets of first elastic clips spaced apart from each other. The second elastic connector includes two sets of second elastic clips spaced apart from each other. The server node is inserted into the cabinet to its installation position. The two sets of first elastic clips clamp the positive plate, and the two sets of second elastic clips clamp the negative plate.
[0014] When the server node is inserted into the cabinet and positioned at the installation location, the two sets of first spring clips respectively abut against the positive plate from both sides of the positive plate. The manner in which the two sets of first spring clips abut against the positive plate can help improve the stability and reliability of the connection between the first elastic connector and the positive plate, and reduce the possibility of poor contact between the first elastic connector and the positive plate. When the server node is inserted into the cabinet and positioned at the installation location, the two sets of second spring clips respectively abut against the negative plate from both sides of the negative plate. The manner in which the two sets of first spring clips abut against the negative plate can help improve the stability and reliability of the connection between the second elastic connector and the negative plate, and reduce the possibility of poor contact between the second elastic connector and the negative plate.
[0015] In one possible embodiment, the power supply connector further includes an insulating seat. The first elastic connector and the second elastic connector are both disposed on the insulating seat. The insulating seat has a guide portion. The guide portion is disposed between the first elastic connector and the second elastic connector.
[0016] During the docking process between the power supply connector and the power supply bus, the guide portion can provide guidance for the power supply connector to ensure that the power supply connector and the power supply bus are docked accurately and smoothly.
[0017] In one possible embodiment, the liquid distribution line includes a liquid inlet pipe and a liquid return pipe. The liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe are arranged horizontally at intervals. The first liquid inlet connector is connected to the liquid inlet pipe. The first liquid return connector is connected to the liquid return pipe.
[0018] There is a distance between the liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe, which helps to prevent the heat released by the higher-temperature coolant in the liquid return pipe from being relatively easily transferred to the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe, thereby preventing the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe from rising in temperature and affecting the heat dissipation effect of the server node.
[0019] In a possible embodiment, the liquid separation pipeline further includes a discharge valve and a liquid collection pipe. The discharge valve is connected to the top of the liquid inlet pipe. The liquid collection pipe is connected to the discharge valve.
[0020] When too many bubbles are mixed in the liquid inlet pipe or the pressure in the liquid inlet pipe exceeds the predetermined pressure, the discharge valve can be opened to discharge the bubbles in the liquid inlet pipe or reduce the pressure in the liquid inlet pipe, which helps to reduce the possibility of the cooling effect of the coolant being reduced due to too many bubbles mixed in the coolant or the possibility of the liquid inlet pipe being damaged due to excessive pressure in the liquid inlet pipe.
[0021] In a possible embodiment, the liquid separation pipeline further includes a leakage collection pipe. The server node includes a leakage discharge portion. The leakage discharge portion is configured to communicate with the leakage collection pipe.
[0022] In the event of a coolant leak in a server node, the leaked coolant can flow to the leakage discharge portion and then into the leakage collection pipe, thereby preventing the leaked coolant from accumulating inside the server node and causing the coolant to submerge the internal power supply unit or other components, thereby causing a short circuit in the internal power supply unit or other components.
[0023] In one possible embodiment, the liquid distribution line further includes a mounting bracket. The liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe are both connected to the mounting bracket. The first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are both disposed on the mounting bracket.
[0024] By connecting the mounting bracket to the liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe, the relative positions of the liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe can be stabilized, making them less susceptible to positional displacement due to external forces. This ensures that an effective spacing is maintained between the liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe, preventing heat released by the higher-temperature coolant in the return pipe from being relatively easily transferred to the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe, thus preventing the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe from experiencing a temperature rise that could affect the heat dissipation of the server node. Both the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are disposed on the mounting bracket. The overall structure formed by the liquid inlet pipe, the liquid return pipe, and the mounting bracket has relatively high mechanical strength, making the mounting bracket less susceptible to positional displacement, thereby facilitating accurate docking of the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector with the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector, respectively.
[0025] In one possible embodiment, the mounting bracket includes a fixed base, an elastic member, and a movable base. Both the liquid inlet pipe and the liquid return pipe are connected to the fixed base. The movable base is slidably connected to the fixed base. The elastic member is disposed between the fixed base and the movable base. Both the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are disposed on the movable base.
[0026] During the process of inserting the server node into the cabinet, after the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector respectively contact the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector, the elastic member can always apply a reaction force to the movable seat, so that the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector respectively maintain a tight fit with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector, which is conducive to ensuring a smooth docking process. When the server node is inserted into the cabinet to the installation position, the elastic member can always apply a reaction force to the movable seat, so that the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector respectively maintain a tight fit with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector, preventing the first liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector from loosening, and the first liquid return connector and the second liquid return connector from loosening.
[0027] In the event that there are machining errors or assembly errors in the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector of the slide rail or the server node, when the server node is inserted into the cabinet to the installation position, there is a problem that the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector cannot be tightly docked with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector, respectively, resulting in leakage of coolant at the docking point. In an embodiment of the present application, by arranging the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector on a movable seat and applying elastic force to the movable seat through an elastic member, it is helpful to avoid the above-mentioned problem, thereby effectively avoiding the situation where the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector respectively dock with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector, and at the same time, the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector can have fault tolerance to compensate for machining errors or assembly errors, thereby reducing the difficulty of machining or assembly.
[0028] In a possible implementation manner, one of the movable seat and the fixed seat is provided with a guide post, and the other is provided with a guide hole that is slidably engaged with the guide post.
[0029] In one possible embodiment, the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector further includes a first positioning portion. The mounting bracket further includes a second positioning portion. When the server node is inserted into the cabinet to the installation position, the first positioning portion is plugged into the second positioning portion.
[0030] When the operator inserts the server node into the cabinet, the first positioning part and the second positioning part can be pre-positioned and matched to ensure that the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are accurately docked with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector respectively, avoiding the situation where the first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are not docked smoothly with the second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector respectively, resulting in the need to plug and unplug the server node multiple times to try to achieve docking.
[0031] In a possible implementation manner, one of the first positioning portion and the second positioning portion is a positioning hole, and the other is a positioning pin.
[0032] In a possible embodiment, the liquid separation pipeline further includes a sealing component. The first liquid inlet connector and the first liquid return connector are both provided with a sealing component.
[0033] When the first liquid inlet joint and the first liquid return joint are respectively docked with the second liquid inlet joint and the second liquid return joint, the sealing component can play a sealing role at the docking point, which is helpful to avoid coolant leakage at the docking point.
[0034] In a possible embodiment, the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector includes a sealing component. The second liquid inlet connector and the second liquid return connector are both provided with a sealing component.
[0035] When the first liquid inlet joint and the first liquid return joint are respectively docked with the second liquid inlet joint and the second liquid return joint, the sealing component can play a sealing role at the docking point, which is helpful to avoid coolant leakage at the docking point.
[0036] In one possible embodiment, the cabinet further includes slide rails. The side panels are provided with the slide rails. The server nodes are connected to the slide rails, thereby facilitating the insertion and fixation of the server nodes into the cabinet or the convenient removal of the server nodes from the cabinet.
[0037] In one possible embodiment, the slide rail includes a first clamping portion, the server node includes a second clamping portion, the server node is inserted into the cabinet to an installation position, and the first clamping portion is clamped with the second clamping portion. [0079] Data centers typically house multiple rack-mount servers to meet data processing capacity requirements. These servers can be arranged in rows for a compact and organized layout. Between rows of facing racks, walking space can be reserved to create a corridor, allowing operators to operate or monitor server nodes from the front.
[0080] FIG1 schematically illustrates a partial structure of a rack-mount server 10. Referring to FIG1 , an embodiment of the present application provides a rack-mount server 10. The rack-mount server 10 may include a rack 20 and server nodes 30 installed in the rack 20. The number of server nodes 30 may be one or more. The rack 20 may be provided with mounting locations for mounting fixed server nodes 30. For example, the number of mounting locations may be the same as the number of server nodes 30.
[0081] FIG2 schematically shows a partial structure of a server node 30. Referring to FIG2 , an embodiment of the present application provides a server node 30. For example, the server node 30 can be a general-purpose server node 30 or a dedicated server node 30. The embodiment of the present application does not limit the specific type of the server node 30. The server node 30 includes a housing 31, multiple loads, and an internal power supply device 32. The housing 31 includes a storage space. Multiple loads and the internal power supply device 32 can be arranged in the storage space of the housing 31. The internal power supply device 32 is electrically connected to the load. The internal power supply device 32 can supply power to the load.
[0082] The server node 30 also includes a liquid cooling assembly. The liquid cooling assembly includes an inlet hose 33, a return hose 34, and a liquid circulation module 35. The inlet hose 33, the return hose 34, and the liquid circulation module 35 are disposed within the housing 31. The liquid circulation module 35 can be used to distribute the circulating flow of the coolant. For example, the inlet hose 33 and the return hose 34 can each be a rubber hose. Both the inlet hose 33 and the return hose 34 are connected to the liquid circulation module 35. The inlet port of the inlet hose 33 is used to input the coolant. The return port of the return hose 34 is used to discharge the coolant. The coolant used in the liquid cooling assembly generally has conductive properties; for example, the coolant can be water. The liquid circulation module 35 can direct the coolant to the corresponding component locations to cool the corresponding components. Components refer to devices with relatively high power consumption. For example, components can include, but are not limited to, processors (central processing units, CPUs).
[0083] In the related art, the server node 30 is pre-installed and fixed to the installation position of the cabinet 20 from the front. After the server node 30 is installed and fixed to the predetermined position in the cabinet 20, the operator needs to move to the back of the cabinet 20 and manually use additional connecting pipes to connect the liquid inlet and return port to the liquid infusion pipe outside the cabinet 20. Then, the operator also manually uses additional cables to connect the power connector to the power supply connector, which results in a long assembly process. At the same time, space for personnel to move around needs to be reserved at the back of the cabinet 20, resulting in a larger actual area occupied by the server 10 in the entire cabinet 20.
[0084] The whole cabinet 20 server 10, the server node 30 and the cabinet 20 of the embodiment of the present application are assembled with high efficiency, and the operator only needs to operate the server node 30 in front of the whole cabinet 20 server 10, so that no additional space for personnel activities is required behind the cabinet 20, which is conducive to reducing the actual footprint of the whole cabinet 20 server 10.
[0085] The server 10 in the entire cabinet 20 according to the embodiment of the present application is further described below.
[0086] An embodiment of the present application provides a whole cabinet 20 server 10. The whole cabinet 20 server 10 includes a cabinet 20 and a server node 30. The cabinet 20 can be supported on a support platform such as the ground. The cabinet 20 has a predetermined height, width, and depth. Devices such as server switches and server nodes 30 can be set in the cabinet 20. A plurality of mounting positions for installing server nodes 30 are provided in the cabinet 20. The server node 30 can be installed in the mounting position along a preset installation direction. In the vertical direction, the plurality of mounting positions can be distributed in sequence from top to bottom, so that the plurality of server nodes 30 installed in the mounting positions are also stacked in sequence from top to bottom.
[0087] Fig. 3 schematically shows a partial structure of a cabinet 20. As shown in Fig. 3, the cabinet 20 of the embodiment of the present application includes a cabinet body 21, a first backplane 24, and a second backplane 25.
[0088] The cabinet 21 of the present embodiment includes two side panels 211. The two side panels 211 are spaced apart horizontally. The orientation of the two side panels 211 can also serve as the width of the servers 10 in the cabinet 20. The server nodes 30 are disposed between the two side panels 211. The server nodes 30 can be connected to the side panels 211 so that the side panels 211 provide support for each server node 30.
[0089] In some implementations, as shown in FIG3 , the cabinet 21 further includes slide rails 212 . The side panels 211 are provided with the slide rails 212 . During insertion of the server node 30 into the cabinet 21 , the server node 30 slides relative to the slide rails 212 . The slide rails 212 provide guidance and support for the server node 30 . After the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position in the cabinet 21 , the slide rails 212 provide support for the server node 30 . The server node 30 is connected to the slide rails 212 .
[0090] In some examples, two slide rails 212 may be provided for each server node 30. One slide rail 212 may be provided for each side panel 211 corresponding to each server node 30. The multiple slide rails 212 on a side panel 211 may be spaced apart in the vertical direction.
[0091] In some examples, the server node 30 is detachably connected to the slide rail 212, thereby facilitating the insertion and fixation of the server node 30 into the cabinet 21 or the convenient removal of the server node 30 from the cabinet 21. When the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position, the server node 30 is connected to the slide rail 212 to ensure the stability of the position of the server node 30 and prevent the position of the server node 30 from shifting.
[0092] In some examples, the slide rail 212 includes a first clamping portion (not shown in the figure). The server node 30 includes a second clamping portion (not shown in the figure). The server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, and the first clamping portion is clamped with the second clamping portion. When the server node 30 needs to be unplugged, a pulling force is applied to the server node 30 so that the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion are disengaged from the clamping state, so that the server node 30 can be separated from the slide rail 212. Exemplarily, the first clamping portion can be a clamping protrusion, and the second clamping portion can be a clamping recess. The first clamping portion and the second clamping portion are clamped by concave-convex matching.
[0093] The cabinet 21 has a front mounting opening 21a. Server nodes 30 can be inserted into the cabinet 21 through the front mounting opening 21a. When two adjacent rows of full cabinets 20 with servers 10 are arranged face to face, the front mounting opening 21a of one row of cabinets 21 faces the front mounting opening 21a of the other row of cabinets 21. Walking space is reserved between the two adjacent rows of full cabinets 20 with servers 10 facing each other, allowing operators to move freely and perform operations related to the server nodes 30 from the front of the cabinets 20, such as inserting or removing the server nodes 30 through the front mounting opening 21a of the cabinets 21.
[0094] The first backplane 24 and the second backplane 25 are both connected to the cabinet 21. The first backplane 24 includes a power bus 22. The second backplane 25 includes a liquid distribution line 23. Horizontally, the power bus 22 and the liquid distribution line 23 are spaced apart. The cabinet 21 is used to mount and secure server nodes 30. The power bus 22 is used to power the server nodes 30. The liquid distribution line 23 is used to transport relatively low-temperature coolant into the server nodes 30 and to recover relatively high-temperature coolant discharged from the server nodes 30.
[0095] The first backplane 24 and the second backplane 25 are both arranged corresponding to the front installation port 21a of the cabinet body 21. The power supply bus 22 is arranged facing the front installation port 21a, and the liquid distribution line 23 is arranged facing the front installation port 21a. For example, the first backplane 24 and the second backplane 25 are arranged at intervals in the horizontal direction, so that the power supply bus 22 and the liquid distribution line 23 are independent of each other and the horizontal spacing is relatively large, which is conducive to avoiding the situation where the power supply bus 22 is short-circuited due to leakage of the liquid distribution line 23 and the coolant contacts the power supply bus 22, thereby improving the safety and working reliability of the entire cabinet 20 server 10.
[0096] The power bus 22 in this embodiment includes a positive plate 221 and a negative plate 222 spaced apart from each other. The positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 are insulated from each other. The positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 are spaced apart to facilitate electrical connection between the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 and the server node 30, respectively. In some examples, both the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 may be copper plates.
[0097] Figure 4 schematically shows the local structure of the liquid distribution line 23. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the liquid distribution line 23 of the embodiment of the present application includes a first liquid inlet connector 23a and a first liquid return connector 23b. When the liquid distribution line 23 is connected to the server node 30, the first liquid inlet connector 23a is used to transport a relatively low temperature coolant into the server node 30. The first liquid return connector 23b is used to recover a relatively high temperature coolant discharged from the server node 30. In some examples, the number of first liquid inlet connectors 23a and the number of first liquid return connectors 23b can both be multiple. In the vertical direction, the multiple first liquid inlet connectors 23a are spaced apart, and the multiple first liquid return connectors 23b are spaced apart.
[0098] As shown in Figure 2, the server node 30 of an embodiment of the present application includes a power supply connector 36 and a liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37. The power supply connector 36 and the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 are spaced apart from each other, for example, the power supply connector 36 and the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 are spaced apart in the horizontal direction. The power supply connector 36 and the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 are both arranged on the back of the server node 30, so that the server node 30 can be connected to the power bus 22 and the liquid distribution line 23 respectively. When the server node 30 is installed in the cabinet 21, the back of the server node 30 faces the first backplane 24 and the second backplane 25. The positions of the power supply connector 36 and the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 on the server node 30 correspond to the positions of the power bus 22 and the liquid distribution line 23 respectively. After the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, the power supply connector 36 and the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 on the server node 30 are accurately docked with the power bus 22 and the liquid distribution line 23 respectively. Inserting the server node 30 into the cabinet 21 to the installation position means that the server node 30 is installed and fixed at a predetermined position in the cabinet 20 .
[0099] Figure 5 schematically illustrates a partial structure of the power connector 36. Referring to Figures 2 and 5, the power connector 36 of this embodiment of the present application includes a first elastic connector 361 and a second elastic connector 362. The first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 can each be electrically connected to the internal power supply 32 via internal wires of the server node 30. The first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 are respectively configured to electrically connect to the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222.
[0100] In some possible implementations, the power supply connector 36 includes an insulating seat 363. The first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 are both disposed on the insulating seat 363. The insulating seat 363 can be connected to the box body 31.
[0101] In some examples, the insulating seat 363 has a guide portion 363a. The guide portion 363a is disposed between the first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362. During docking of the power connector 36 with the power bus 22, the guide portion 363a provides guidance for the power connector 36, ensuring accurate and smooth docking of the power connector 36 with the power bus 22. After docking of the power connector 36 with the power bus 22, the guide portion 363a of the insulating seat 363 is positioned between the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222.
[0102] As shown in Figure 2 , the liquid-cooling blind-plug connector 37 includes a second liquid inlet connector 371 and a second liquid return connector 372. The second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 can be connected to the liquid inlet hose 33 and the liquid return hose 34 inside the server node 30, respectively. The second liquid inlet connector 371 and the liquid inlet hose 33 are used to deliver relatively low-temperature coolant into the server node 30. The second liquid return connector 372 and the liquid return hose 34 are used to recover relatively high-temperature coolant discharged from the server node 30.
[0103] During assembly of the server node 30 with the cabinet 20, the server node 30 can be inserted into the cabinet 21 through the front mounting port 21a of the cabinet 21 to the installation position. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, the first elastic connector 361 abuts the positive plate 221, while the second elastic connector 362 abuts the negative plate 222. Simultaneously, the second liquid inlet connector 371 plugs into the first liquid inlet connector 23a, while the second liquid return connector 372 plugs into the first liquid return connector 23b. Electrical connection can be achieved between the power bus 22 and the server node 30 via the positive plate 221, the negative plate 222, the first elastic connector 361, and the second elastic connector 362. The liquid distribution line 23 and the server node 30 can be connected via the first liquid inlet connector 23a, the second liquid inlet connector 371, the first liquid return connector 23b, and the second liquid return connector 372, allowing coolant to circulate between the liquid distribution line 23 and the server node 30, thereby facilitating heat dissipation from the server node 30.
[0104] In the case where the server node 30 needs to be inspected or maintained, the operator only needs to unplug the server node 30 from the cabinet body 21 from the front of the cabinet 20. During the unplugging operation, the first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 can be separated from the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222, respectively. The second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 can be separated from the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b, respectively. Therefore, in the whole cabinet 20 server 10 of the embodiment of the present application, in the case where the server node 30 needs to be unplugged, the operator does not need to go around to the back of the cabinet 20 and manually disconnect the connection pipelines and cables of the server node 30.
[0105] In the whole cabinet 20 server 10 of the embodiment of the present application, the cabinet 21 is provided with a power supply bus 22 and a liquid distribution line 23, and the server node 30 is provided with a power supply connector 36 and a liquid cooling blind plug connector 37. The operator gradually inserts the server node 30 into the cabinet 21 from the front of the cabinet 20. When the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position of the cabinet 21, the first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 in the power supply connector 36 can be electrically connected to the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 respectively to realize the electrical connection between the server node 30 and the power supply bus 22. At the same time, the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 in the liquid cooling blind plug connector 37 can be docked with the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b respectively to realize the connection between the server node 30 and the liquid distribution line 23. Therefore, for the whole cabinet 20 server 10 of the embodiment of the present application, the operator only needs to insert the server node 30 in the front of the cabinet 20 so that the server node 30 is installed and fixed in the installation position in the cabinet body 21, and at the same time complete the power supply and liquid supply connection operations of the server node 30, so that the operator does not need to move to the back of the cabinet 20 to perform the power supply and liquid supply connection operations manually, which is beneficial to improving the assembly efficiency of the server node 30 and the cabinet 20, and no additional space for personnel activities is required at the back of the cabinet 20 arranged in the data center computer room, thereby reducing the actual footprint of the whole cabinet 20 server 10.
[0106] In addition, since the whole cabinet 20 server 10 of the embodiment of the present application adopts liquid cooling technology, it is not necessary to use air cooling for heat dissipation, so the whole cabinet 20 server 10 does not need to be equipped with a corresponding air cooling device, such as a fan, on the outside of the server node 30. At the same time, since the operator does not need to perform relevant operations on the back of the cabinet 20, the two rows of whole cabinet 20 servers 10 can be arranged back to back, that is, the back of one row of cabinets 20 faces the back of the other row of cabinets 20. When air cooling is adopted in the related art, a large gap needs to be reserved between the two rows of whole cabinet 20 servers 10 arranged back to back to provide a better air flow channel. In the embodiment of the present application, a large gap does not need to be reserved between the two rows of whole cabinet 20 servers 10 arranged back to back, which is conducive to further reducing the actual footprint of the whole cabinet 20 server 10. In the whole cabinet 20 server 10 of the embodiment of the present application, there is no need to set up an additional liquid cooling door at the rear of the cabinet 20 for dissipating heat for the server node 30.
[0107] In some possible implementations, as shown in FIG3 , the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 of the power connector 36 both extend in the vertical direction. The positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 are spaced apart in the horizontal direction. Correspondingly, the first elastic connector 361 and the second elastic connector 362 are spaced apart in the horizontal direction. The direction in which the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 extend is the same as the stacking direction of the server nodes 30. Thus, the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 arranged in the vertical direction can facilitate electrical connection with each server node 30, and can be electrically connected to the server node 30 at any position.
[0108] In some examples, the power bus 22 further includes an insulating spacer 223. One end of the insulating spacer 223 is connected to the positive plate 221, and the other end is connected to the negative plate 222. To ensure that the power connector 36 on the server node 30 accurately connects with the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 of the power bus 22, the positions of the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 must remain stable after the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 are installed and fixed to the cabinet 21. By using insulating isolation columns 223 to connect the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222, on the one hand, it can help ensure the relative position stability of the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222, making the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 less likely to shift due to external forces, ensuring that the power connector 36 and the power bus 22 can be accurately connected. On the other hand, the insulating isolation columns 223 can ensure that the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 maintain an effective insulation state, reducing the possibility of the positive plate 221 and the negative plate 222 coming into contact due to external forces and causing a short circuit. Exemplarily, the insulating isolation columns 223 can be detachably connected to the cabinet 21. Exemplarily, there can be multiple insulating isolation columns 223. Multiple insulating isolation columns 223 can be spaced apart along the vertical direction.
[0109] In some implementations, as shown in FIG5 , the first elastic connector 361 includes two sets of first spring clips 361a spaced apart. Each set of first spring clips 361a may include one or more first spring clips 361a. The first spring clips 361a themselves have elastic deformation capabilities. For example, the first spring clips 361a may be copper sheets. The second elastic connector 362 includes two sets of second spring clips 362a spaced apart. Each set of second spring clips 362a may include one or more second spring clips 362a. The second spring clips 362a themselves have elastic deformation capabilities. For example, the second spring clips 362a may be copper sheets. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, the two sets of first spring clips 361a clamp the positive plate 221, while the two sets of second spring clips 362a clamp the negative plate 222.
[0110] When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 but has not yet reached the installation position, the two sets of first spring clips 361a of the first elastic connector 361 contact the positive plate 221. Under external thrust, the server node 30 continues to move toward the installation position, and the two sets of first spring clips 361a are pushed by the positive plate 221, causing them to move away from each other and accumulate elastic potential energy. Simultaneously, the positive plate 221 enters between the two sets of first spring clips 361a. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 and reaches the installation position, the two sets of first spring clips 361a abut the positive plate 221 from either side. This abutment of the two sets of first spring clips 361a on the positive plate 221 improves the stability and reliability of the connection between the first elastic connector 361 and the positive plate 221, reducing the possibility of poor contact between the first elastic connector 361 and the positive plate 221.
[0111] Accordingly, when the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 but has not yet reached the installation position, the two sets of second elastic clips 362a of the second elastic connector 362 contact the negative plate 222. Under external thrust, the server node 30 continues to move toward the installation position, and the two sets of second elastic clips 362a are pushed by the negative plate 222, causing the two sets of second elastic clips 362a to move away from each other and accumulate elastic potential energy. Simultaneously, the negative plate 222 enters between the two sets of second elastic clips 362a. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 and reaches the installation position, the two sets of second elastic clips 362a abut against the negative plate 222 from either side. This abutment of the two sets of first elastic clips 361a against the negative plate 222 can improve the stability and reliability of the connection between the second elastic connector 362 and the negative plate 222, reducing the possibility of poor contact between the second elastic connector 362 and the negative plate 222.
[0112] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG4 , the liquid distribution line 23 may include a liquid inlet pipe 231 and a liquid return pipe 232. The liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are independently provided. The liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are spaced apart in the horizontal direction. There is a distance between the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232, which helps to prevent the heat released by the higher-temperature coolant in the liquid return pipe 232 from being relatively easily transferred to the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe 231, thereby preventing the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe 231 from rising in temperature and affecting the heat dissipation effect of the server node 30. The first liquid inlet connector 23a is connected to the liquid inlet pipe 231, and the first liquid return connector 23b is connected to the liquid return pipe 232.
[0113] In some examples, the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 may both be rigid pipes, so that the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are not easily deformed when subjected to force.
[0114] In some examples, the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 of the liquid distribution line 23 can be respectively connected to liquid pipelines provided in a data center computer room.
[0115] In some embodiments, the liquid separation line 23 further includes a drain valve 233 and a drainage collection pipe 234. The drain valve 233 can be connected to the top of the liquid inlet pipe 231. The drainage collection pipe 234 is connected to the drain valve 233. If excessive bubbles are mixed into the liquid inlet pipe 231 or the pressure in the liquid inlet pipe 231 exceeds a predetermined pressure, the drain valve 233 can be opened to discharge the bubbles or reduce the pressure in the liquid inlet pipe 231. This helps reduce the possibility of reduced cooling effect of the coolant due to excessive bubbles in the coolant or damage to the liquid inlet pipe 231 due to excessive pressure in the liquid inlet pipe 231. When the drain valve 233 is open, some coolant is discharged from the liquid inlet pipe 231 through the drain valve 233. The coolant discharged from the drain valve 233 can enter the drainage collection pipe 234. The coolant can be recovered through the drainage collection pipe 234.
[0116] The liquid distribution line 23 also includes a leakage collection pipe 235. The server node 30 includes a leakage discharge portion 38 (see FIG2 ). The leakage discharge portion 38 is used to communicate with the leakage collection pipe 235. When the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position, the leakage discharge portion 38 is connected to the leakage collection pipe 235. The leakage discharge portion 38 is the lowest point on the server node 30. In the event of a coolant leak in the server node 30, the leaked coolant can flow to the leakage discharge portion 38 and flow into the leakage collection pipe 235 through the leakage discharge portion 38, thereby preventing the leaked coolant from accumulating inside the server node 30 and causing the coolant to submerge the internal power supply unit 32 or other components, thereby causing the internal power supply unit 32 or other components to short-circuit. The leakage collection pipe 235 can recover the leaked coolant.
[0117] In some examples, the leakage drain portion 38 may be a leakage drain pipe. When the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position, the leakage drain pipe communicates with the leakage collection pipe 235. The leakage collection pipe 235 has a docking hole. When the server node 30 is inserted into the installation position, the leakage drain portion 38 can be inserted into the docking hole.
[0118] In the embodiment of the present application, Figure 6 schematically illustrates a partial cross-sectional view of the liquid distribution line 23. Figure 7 schematically illustrates a partial cross-sectional view of the entire cabinet 20 server 10. Referring to Figures 4, 6, and 7, the liquid distribution line 23 also includes a mounting bracket 236. Both the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are connected to the mounting bracket 236. One end of the mounting bracket 236 is connected to the liquid inlet pipe 231, and the other end is connected to the liquid return pipe 232. By connecting the mounting bracket 236 to the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232, the relative positions of the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are stabilized, making them less susceptible to displacement due to external forces. This ensures that an effective spacing is maintained between the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232, preventing heat released by the higher-temperature coolant in the liquid return pipe 232 from being easily transferred to the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe 231. This prevents the lower-temperature coolant in the liquid inlet pipe 231 from heating up and affecting the heat dissipation of the server node 30. Both the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are mounted on the mounting bracket 236. The overall structure formed by the liquid inlet pipe 231, the liquid return pipe 232, and the mounting bracket 236 has relatively high mechanical strength, making the mounting bracket 236 less susceptible to displacement, thereby facilitating accurate docking of the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 with the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b, respectively.
[0119] In some examples, the first liquid inlet connector 23 a and the first liquid return connector 23 b are both detachably connected to the mounting bracket 236 .
[0120] In some examples, the mounting bracket 236 includes a fixed seat 236a, an elastic member 236b, and a movable seat 236c. The liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 are both detachably connected to the fixed seat 236a. The movable seat 236c is slidably connected to the fixed seat 236a. The elastic member 236b is disposed between the fixed seat 236a and the movable seat 236c. The first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are both disposed on the movable seat 236c. When pressure is applied to the movable seat 236c, the movable seat 236c can slide relative to the fixed seat 236a and move closer to the fixed seat 236a. At this time, the movable seat 236c compresses the elastic member 236b, causing the elastic member 236b to accumulate elastic potential energy. When the pressure on the movable seat 236c is relieved, the elastic member 236b can release the elastic potential energy, pushing the movable seat 236c away from the fixed seat 236a and returning to its initial position. The first liquid inlet joint 23a and the first liquid return joint 23b both move synchronously with the movable seat 236c.
[0121] During the insertion of the server node 30 into the cabinet 21, after the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 respectively contact the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b, the elastic member 236b can continuously exert a reaction force on the movable seat 236c, thereby maintaining a tight fit between the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b, respectively, and thus ensuring a smooth docking process. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, the elastic member 236b can continuously exert a reaction force on the movable seat 236c, thereby maintaining a tight fit between the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b, respectively, and preventing the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the second liquid inlet connector 371, and the first liquid return connector 23b and the second liquid return connector 372 from loosening.
[0122] In the event that there are machining errors or assembly errors in the slide rail 212 or the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 of the server node 30, when the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, there is a problem that the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b cannot be tightly docked with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, respectively, resulting in leakage of coolant at the docking points. In the embodiment of the present application, by disposing the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b on the movable seat 236c and applying elastic force to the movable seat 236c through the elastic member 236b, it is helpful to avoid the above-mentioned problem, thereby effectively preventing coolant leakage at the docking points of the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, respectively. At the same time, the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b can also have fault tolerance to compensate for machining errors or assembly errors, thereby reducing the difficulty of machining or assembly.
[0123] Exemplarily, the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b can be connected to the liquid inlet pipe 231 and the liquid return pipe 232 respectively through a hose 237, so that when the movable seat 236c moves relative to the fixed seat 236a, the hose 237 can deform freely, thereby avoiding the hose 237 from generating a large reaction force on the movement process of the movable seat 236c.
[0124] Exemplarily, the elastic member 236b may be a spring. For example, the elastic member 236b may be, but is not limited to, a coil spring.
[0125] For example, one of the movable seat 236c and the fixed seat 236a is provided with a guide post 98, and the other is provided with a guide hole 99 that slidably engages with the guide post 98. The guide post 98 is inserted into the guide hole 99. For example, the guide hole 99 can be provided on the movable seat 236c, and the guide post 98 can be provided on the fixed seat 236a.
[0126] In some examples, FIG8 schematically shows a partial structure of a server node 30. Referring to FIG7 and FIG8 , the liquid-cooled blind-plug connector 37 further includes a first positioning portion 373. The mounting bracket 236 further includes a second positioning portion 236d. When the server node 30 is inserted into the cabinet 21 to the installation position, the first positioning portion 373 and the second positioning portion 236d are plugged into each other. When the operator inserts the server node 30 into the cabinet 21, the first positioning portion 373 and the second positioning portion 236d can be pre-positioned and matched to ensure that the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are accurately docked with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, respectively, to avoid the situation where the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are not docked smoothly with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, respectively, resulting in the need to plug and unplug the server node 30 multiple times to try to achieve docking. When the server node 30 is plugged and unplugged multiple times in an attempt to achieve docking, the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b collide with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 respectively, and there is a risk of structural damage to the first liquid inlet connector 23a, the first liquid return connector 23b, the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372.
[0127] Exemplarily, one of the first positioning portion 373 and the second positioning portion 236d is a positioning hole, and the other is a positioning pin. For example, the first positioning portion 373 can be a positioning hole, while the second positioning portion 236d is a positioning pin. The number of positioning holes is the same as the number of positioning pins. For example, the liquid-cooled blind-mate connector 37 can have two positioning holes. The two positioning holes are spaced apart in the vertical direction. The positioning holes include a guiding slope 373a, which guides the positioning pin into the positioning hole for accurate and smooth insertion.
[0128] In some examples, the mounting bracket 236 includes a fixed seat 236a, an elastic member 236b, and a movable seat 236c. The second positioning portion 236d is disposed on the movable seat 236c.
[0129] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG7 , the liquid dispensing line 23 further includes a sealing component 100. When the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are respectively connected to the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the second liquid inlet connector 371 can jointly apply a compressive force to the sealing component 100 to enable the sealing component 100 to achieve a sealing function. Correspondingly, the first liquid return connector 23b and the second liquid return connector 372 can jointly apply a compressive force to the sealing component 100 to enable the sealing component 100 to achieve a sealing function.
[0130] In some examples, both the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are provided with a sealing member 100. When the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are respectively connected to the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, the sealing member 100 can provide a seal at the connection, thereby preventing coolant leakage at the connection.
[0131] Illustratively, the sealing component 100 may be a sealing ring. The first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b both have a cylindrical docking portion, and the sealing component 100 is sleeved onto the cylindrical docking portion. Illustratively, the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 both have a cylindrical docking portion. When the liquid distribution line 23 is docked with the liquid-cooling blind plug connector 37, the cylindrical docking portion of the first liquid inlet connector 23a is inserted into the cylindrical docking portion of the second liquid inlet connector 371, and the cylindrical docking portion of the first liquid return connector 23b is inserted into the cylindrical docking portion of the second liquid return connector 372.
[0132] For example, the material of the sealing component 100 may include but is not limited to rubber or silicone.
[0133] In this embodiment of the present application, the liquid-cooled blind-mated connector 37 further includes a sealing component 100. The sealing component 100 is provided on both the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372. When the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b are docked with the second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372, respectively, the sealing component 100 provides a seal at the docking point, helping to prevent coolant leakage at the docking point.
[0134] In some examples, the sealing component 100 may be a sealing ring. The second liquid inlet connector 371 and the second liquid return connector 372 both have a cylindrical docking portion, and the sealing component 100 is disposed inside the cylindrical docking portion. For example, the first liquid inlet connector 23a and the first liquid return connector 23b both have a cylindrical docking portion. When the liquid distribution line 23 is docked with the liquid-cooled blind plug connector 37, the cylindrical docking portion of the first liquid inlet connector 23a is inserted into the cylindrical docking portion of the second liquid inlet connector 371, and the cylindrical docking portion of the first liquid return connector 23b is inserted into the cylindrical docking portion of the second liquid return connector 372.
