[0030] Exemplary embodiments will be described in detail herein, with examples illustrated in the accompanying drawings. In the following description, when referring to the drawings, identical numerals in different figures represent identical or similar elements, unless otherwise indicated. The embodiments described in the following exemplary embodiments are not intended to represent all embodiments consistent with the present application. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present application, as detailed in the appended claims.

[0031] In order to better understand the technical solution provided by this application, the technology involved in this application is first introduced.

[0032] A small-granularity FlexeSubclient is created based on a Flexible Ethernet Port FlexeClient or an Ethernet Port (in small-granular mode). The end-to-end layer corresponds to an end-to-end small-granularity FlexeSubchannel, which includes single-point small particles (FlexeSubclient) and cross connections (FlexeSubclient CC).

[0033] As shown in Figure 1, the end-to-end granule in the figure traverses three Flexible Ethernet channels (FlexeChannels): Flexible Ethernet Channel 1 (FlexeChannel 1), Flexible Ethernet Channel 2 (FlexeChannel 2), and Flexible Ethernet Channel 3 (FlexeChannel 3). The endpoints of Flexible Ethernet Channel 1 and 3 are traditional Flexible Ethernet ports, while the endpoints of Flexible Ethernet Channel 2 are Ethernet ports (in small-granule mode). Small-granule FlexeSubclients are created on the endpoints (FlexeClients or Ethernet ports) of each Flexible Ethernet channel. Every two adjacent small-granule FlexeSubclients form an LC (Link Connection) or CC (Cross Connection). An LC represents a pair of FlexeSubclients with the same client number (client number) at a single point; a CC corresponds to the binding relationship between a pair of FlexeSubclients on the left and right sides of a network element (the client numbers may not necessarily be the same). In the example in Figure 1, the end-to-end granule includes three LCs and two CCs. In addition, among the six flexesubclients included in this end-to-end granule, the two on the edge are terminal and the four in the middle are non-terminal, that is, the flexesubclients that form a cross are non-terminal, and those that do not form a cross are terminal.

[0034] FIG2 shows a flow chart of a method for transmitting a service provided by an exemplary embodiment of the present application. The method can be executed by an electronic device, which may include a network-side device. In other words, the method can be executed by software or hardware installed in the electronic device. The method includes the following steps:

[0035] Step S210: In response to a third network element being connected between the first network element and the second network element, a second small particle channel corresponding to the first small particle channel is constructed through the port small particles of the third network element.

[0036] The third network element is a network element used for capacity expansion, and the first small-granularity channel is a small-granularity channel between the first network element and the second network element before access to the third network element.

[0037] It is understandable that the port types of the first network element, the second network element, and the third network element can be flexible Ethernet ports or ordinary Ethernet ports with a small-granule mode, and each port includes a small granule. A small-granule channel refers to a service transmission path, and the two ends of the service transmission path are small granules. Then, the first small-granule channel is the transmission path for the target service from the first network element to the second network element. Through the small granules of the port of the third network element, a second small-granule channel corresponding to the first small-granule channel is constructed. Then, one of the two ends of the second small-granule channel is the small granule of the port of the third network element. In other words, the small granule of the port of the third network element can split the first small-granule channel into two, and the second small-granule channel can be a small-granule channel between the first network element and the third network element, or a small-granule channel between the third network element and the second network element.

[0038] Step S220: deploying the target service to the second small-granularity channel for transmission.

[0039] It can be understood that the second small-granularity channel is a new transmission path determined for the target service, that is, the target service is transmitted through the first small-granularity channel before capacity expansion, and after capacity expansion, the service transmission can be completed on the second small-granularity channel.

[0040] In an embodiment of the present application, by responding to a third network element connected between the first network element and the second network element for capacity expansion, a second small-particle channel corresponding to the first small-particle channel is constructed according to the port small particles of the third network element, and then the second small-particle channel is used to transmit the target service. This can provide an additional service transmission path, achieve smaller-granularity capacity expansion on the basis of improving the utilization rate of the third network element, more accurately improve the utilization rate of the network, and meet the transmission needs of more services. In one implementation method, it can also share the load of the original network link, thereby enhancing the reliability and redundancy of the network.

[0041] In one implementation, step S220 may include: constructing a second small-particle channel corresponding to the first small-particle channel using a port small particle of a third network element based on the type of the first small-particle channel. The types of the first small-particle channel include a termination type and a crossover type. The termination type indicates that the small-particle channel terminates on both the first network element and the second network element, while the crossover type indicates that the small-particle channel crosses at least one of the first network element and the second network element. In this embodiment of the present application, the types of the first small-particle channel may include the following: termination type and crossover type. A termination type indicates that the first small-particle channel terminates between the first network element and the second network element, i.e., a small-particle channel that terminates on both the first network element and the second network element. In other words, there is no crossover connection within the first network element and the second network element. A crossover type indicates that the first small-particle channel passes through either the first network element or the second network element, i.e., a small-particle channel that crosses at least one of the first network element and the second network element. In other words, there is a crossover connection within the first network element or the second network element. For example, as shown in FIG3 , small-particle channel 1 is of the termination type, while small-particle channels 2 and 3 are of the crossover type.

[0042] The following describes the expansion strategies corresponding to the two types of first small particle channels mentioned above:

[0043] 1. The type of the first small particle channel is the terminal type.

[0044] In one implementation, when a first small-granularity channel is of a terminated type, constructing a second small-granularity channel corresponding to the first small-granularity channel through a port small granule of a third network element based on the type of the first small-granularity channel may include: constructing, through the port small granule of the third network element, a first small-granularity sub-channel terminating between the first network element and the third network element, and a second small-granularity sub-channel terminating between the third network element and the second network element, wherein the second small-granularity channel includes the first small-granularity sub-channel and the second small-granularity sub-channel. For example, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, small-granularity channel 1 in Figure 3 is the first small-granularity channel. By adding a third network element, it is divided into the first small-granularity sub-channel and the second small-granularity sub-channel, the first small-granularity sub-channel being located between the first network element and the second network element, and the second small-granularity sub-channel being located between the third network element and the second network element. The transmission path of the target service is the second small-granularity channel, i.e., the second small-granularity channel can be the first small-granularity sub-channel or the second small-granularity sub-channel.

[0045] In one implementation, dividing the first small-granularity channel into a first small-granularity sub-channel terminated between the first network element and the third network element and a second small-granularity sub-channel terminated between the third network element and the second network element may include the following steps:

[0046] Step 1: Create a second virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the first virtual Ethernet port on the first port granule of the third network element, and construct a first granule sub-channel through the first virtual Ethernet port and the second virtual Ethernet port. The first virtual Ethernet port is the virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the first granule channel on the port granule of the first network element.

[0047] As shown in Figure 5, the first port granule of the third network element refers to the port granule close to the first network element, the first virtual Ethernet port is vei 1 on the port granule of the first network element, and the second virtual Ethernet port is vei 2 on the port granule of the third network element. Vei 1 and Vei 2 can construct a first granule sub-channel.

[0048] The number of first virtual Ethernet ports corresponding to the port small particle of the first network element can be multiple, so the same number of second virtual Ethernet ports as the virtual Ethernet ports on the port small particle of the first network element can be created on the first port small particle of the third network element. One first virtual Ethernet port and one second virtual Ethernet port can constitute a first small particle sub-channel. Therefore, there can be multiple first small particle sub-channels, and the target service can be deployed to any first small particle sub-channel.

[0049] Step 2: Create a fourth virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the third virtual Ethernet port on the second port granule of the third network element, and construct a second small-granule sub-channel through the third virtual Ethernet port and the fourth virtual Ethernet port. The third virtual Ethernet port is the virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the first small-granule channel on the port granule of the second network element.

[0050] Continuing to refer to Figure 5, the second port granule of the third network element refers to the port granule close to the second network element, the third virtual Ethernet port is vei 3 on the port granule of the second network element, and the fourth virtual Ethernet port is vei 4 on the port granule of the third network element. Vei 3 and Vei 4 can construct a second granule sub-channel.

[0051] The number of third virtual Ethernet ports corresponding to the port granule of the second network element can be multiple. Therefore, the same number of fourth virtual Ethernet ports as the virtual Ethernet ports on the port granule of the second network element can be created on the second port granule of the third network element. One third virtual Ethernet port and one fourth virtual Ethernet port can constitute a second granule sub-channel. Therefore, there can be multiple second granule sub-channels, and the target service can be deployed to any second granule sub-channel. In traditional capacity expansion methods, when the network expands or contracts, the system automatically detects the change and updates the virtual router information and access device configuration accordingly, allowing the network to adapt to the new scale and needs. However, this capacity expansion method directly expands the network element, meaning that the expanded network element can only be used to transmit a single service. In this implementation, the expanded third network element can be used to transmit multiple services. It should be noted that multiple granule sub-channels can be created on a single granule channel. The virtual Ethernet interfaces on both sides of each granule sub-channel have the same VLAN and IP address in the same network segment.

[0052] In another implementation, the IP address corresponding to the second virtual Ethernet port is set to the IP address corresponding to the port granule of the first small-granule channel on the second network element; or, the IP address corresponding to the fourth virtual Ethernet port is set to the IP address corresponding to the port granule of the first small-granule channel on the first network element. It is understandable that before the expansion, the transmission path of the target service is the first small-granule channel. When the first small-granule channel type is a termination type, the starting point of the first small-granule channel is the port granule of the first network element and the end point is the port granule of the second network element. If the first small-granule sub-channel is selected to transmit the target service, then the starting point of the first small-granule sub-channel is the same as the starting point of the first small-granule channel, and the end point is the second virtual Ethernet port on the first port granule of the third network element. Therefore, the IP address corresponding to the second virtual Ethernet port needs to be set to the IP address corresponding to the port granule of the first small-granule channel on the second network element. Similarly, if the second small-granule sub-channel is selected to transmit the target service, then the starting point of the second small-granule sub-channel is the same as the end point of the first small-granule channel, and the starting point is the fourth virtual Ethernet port on the second port small particle of the third network element. Therefore, the IP address corresponding to the fourth virtual Ethernet port needs to be set to the IP address corresponding to the port small particle of the first small-granule channel on the first network element.

[0053] 2. The type of the first small particle channel is a cross type.

[0054] In one implementation, when the first small-granule channel is of a cross-type, a second small-granule channel corresponding to the first small-granule channel is constructed through the port small granules of the third network element, including: constructing the second small-granule channel by passing the first small-granule channel through the third network element in a cross-type manner. Continuing with reference to FIG3 , small-granule channel 2 intersects with the second network element, i.e., small-granule channel 2 passes through the second network element, forming a cross-connection CC within the second network element; small-granule channel 3 intersects with the first network element and the second network element, i.e., small-granule channel 3 passes through the first network element and the second network element, forming cross-connections CC within the first network element and the second network element, respectively. This indicates that small-granule channel 2 and small-granule channel 3 do not terminate at the second network element, i.e., the services corresponding to small-granule channel 2 and small-granule channel 3 need to continue to be transmitted to the next network element. Therefore, as shown in FIG6 , after the third network element is expanded between the first network element and the second network element, small-granule channel 2 and small-granule channel 3 will continue to pass through the third network element, i.e., they will not terminate at the third network element. Then, by passing the first small-granularity channel through the third network element in a cross-shaped manner, a second small-granularity channel can be constructed, but the starting point of the second small-granularity channel will not change.

[0055] In one implementation, before constructing a second small-granule channel corresponding to the first small-granule channel through the port small particles of the third network element, it may also include: when it is determined that the protection path meets the transmission requirements of the target service, forcibly switching the target service to the protection path. In another implementation, deploying the target service to the second small-granule channel for transmission includes: when it is determined that the second small-granule channel meets the transmission requirements of the target service, forcibly switching the target service from the protection path to the second small-granule channel. It can be understood that expansion and contraction in the optical transmission network means that when a certain area needs to add or delete new sites in the original network due to an increase or decrease in business volume, it is necessary to disconnect the optical fiber of the adjacent site and add the new site. In addition to the hardware operations of cutting fibers, adding sites, and connecting fibers, the expansion and contraction process also requires relevant data configuration on the network management system in terms of software. During capacity expansion, because the target service is already running on the original network, fiber optic cables must be disconnected during the expansion. Therefore, to ensure that the target service is not affected during the expansion process, a forced switching operation must be performed on the network management system before the expansion. This switching operation will be switched to the protection path. After confirming that the fiber disconnection has no impact on the target service, the expansion operation can be started. After the expansion is completed, the network management system must distribute the configuration data to the site where the data was changed, and the previous protection switching operation must be cleared, allowing the target service to return to the newly determined working path for transmission.

[0056] An application scenario of each of the above embodiments is described below. As shown in FIG7 , another schematic diagram of end-to-end small particles provided by an exemplary embodiment of the present application may include the following steps:

[0057] Step S710: Determine the link mode.

[0058] If the link mode is an Ethernet mode link, go to step S720; if the link mode is a Flexe mode link, go to step S730; if the link mode is a small-granularity mode link, go to step S750.

[0059] Step S720: perform capacity expansion according to the contents in the embodiments shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 6 .

[0060] Step S730: Determine whether the flexible Ethernet port in the Flexe mode link is enabled for small granularity.

[0061] If the flexible Ethernet port in the Flexe mode link is not small-granularity enabled, go to step S720 ; if the flexible Ethernet port in the Flexe mode link is small-granularity enabled, go to step S740 .

[0062] Step S740: creating port granules at the left and right ends of the third network element respectively.

[0063] The third network element is a network element connected between the first network element and the second network element for capacity expansion.

[0064] Step S750: Determine the type of each pair of corresponding small particles between the first network element and the second network element.

[0065] The type includes: shared and other, where other refers to ordinary small particles in the small particle mode port or small particles in the flexible Ethernet port flexeclient mode. If the type of each pair of corresponding small particles between the first network element and the second network element is shared, go to step S760; if the type of each pair of corresponding small particles between the first network element and the second network element is other, go to step S770;

[0066] Step S760: Generate end-to-end small particles, virtual Ethernet interfaces, and virtual Ethernet sub-interfaces on both sides of the third network element.

[0067] Step S770: Generate a first small particle and a second small particle on both sides of the third network element respectively, and form a cross connection between the first small particle and the second small particle.

[0068] Step S780: Data deployment.

[0069] Among them, an interface call for updating the end-to-end small-granularity routing is added to the deployment process before capacity expansion. The interface is provided by the end-to-end component.

[0070] In this embodiment, different expansion strategies are selected based on different link modes. Ethernet mode links can be expanded according to the embodiments shown in Figures 1-6 above. Flexe mode links, on the other hand, need to determine whether small granules are enabled. If small granules are enabled, the expansion strategy is determined based on the type of each pair of small granules between the first and second network elements. For small granule mode links, the expansion strategy is determined based on the type of each pair of small granules between the first and second network elements. Therefore, this embodiment allows for flexible expansion strategies based on different application scenarios.

[0071] In each of the above embodiments, the capacity of the network transmission path is expanded by adding a third network element. For example, when the third network element is idle due to a decrease in business volume in a certain area, the third network element can be removed from the original network, that is, the third network element needs to be deleted from the original network. Since the types of the first small-granularity channel include termination type and cross-type, that is, the type of the first small-granularity channel corresponds to two expansion modes, in one implementation, the type of the first small-granularity channel can also correspond to two reduction modes:

[0072] (1) After constructing a first small-particle channel terminating between the first network element and the third network element and a second small-particle channel terminating between the third network element and the second network element through the port small particles of the third network element, the method further includes: in response to removing the third network element between the first network element and the second network element, docking the first small-particle channel with the second small-particle channel to obtain a first small-particle channel.

[0073] (2) After constructing a second small-particle channel by passing the first small-particle channel through the third network element in a cross form, the method further includes: in response to removing the third network element between the first network element and the second network element, deleting the cross node corresponding to the port small particle of the third network element on the second small-particle channel passing through the third network element in a cross form, thereby obtaining a first small-particle channel.

[0074] As shown in Figure 8, small-granular channel 5 terminates between the first network element and the third network element, and small-granular channel 6 terminates between the third network element and the second network element. Therefore, when the third network element is removed, i.e., the capacity is reduced, small-granular channel 5 and small-granular channel 6 can be merged to form a third small-granular channel. Alternatively, as shown in Figure 9, small-granular channel 7 does not terminate between the first network element and the second network element, but instead crosses the third network element in an intersecting manner. Therefore, when the third network element is removed, i.e., the capacity is reduced, the intersection node between small-granular channel 7 and the third network element can be deleted. The starting and ending points of small-granular channel 7 do not change. Therefore, only the intersection node with the third network element needs to be deleted to form the first small-granular channel.

[0075] This implementation does not support scaling down the network element (NE) at the endpoint of a crossing small-granularity channel. The service corresponding to a small-granularity channel can be a dedicated line service, for example. Scaling down the tunnel PE node is prohibited. Furthermore, scaling down the NE at the endpoint of E1 over fiber transmission is also not supported.

[0076] For the first small-granule sub-channel and the second small-granule sub-channel, after shrinking and matching the newly formed first small-granule channel, the IP addresses corresponding to the virtual Ethernet ports at both ends need to be adjusted to meet the docking requirements. For the shrinking method shown in Figure 8, the IP address corresponding to the port small particle on the first network element can be set to the IP address corresponding to the fourth virtual Ethernet port, or the IP address corresponding to the port small particle on the second network element can be set to the IP address corresponding to the third virtual Ethernet port. The third virtual Ethernet port is the virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the first small-granule sub-channel on the port small particle of the third network element, and the fourth virtual Ethernet port is the virtual Ethernet port corresponding to the second small-granule sub-channel on the port small particle of the third network element. For the shrinking method shown in Figure 9, since the shrinking action does not change the endpoints and length of the small-granule channel 7, the IP addresses corresponding to the virtual Ethernet ports at both ends do not need to be adjusted.

[0077] Before determining that the third network element between the first and second network elements is removed, the method may further include: deleting a small-granule channel that terminates at the third network element and does not match a port granule on the second network element. For example, as shown in FIG8 , during capacity expansion, the IP address corresponding to the virtual Ethernet port of small-granule channel 5 on the third network element is set to the IP address corresponding to the port granule of the first small-granule channel on the second network element. During capacity reduction, small-granule channel 5 may match a port granule on the second network element with the same IP address corresponding to the virtual Ethernet port on the third network element. In this case, small-granule channel 6 corresponding to the port granule may be used as the small-granule channel matched with small-granule channel 5. As shown in FIG10 , small-granule channel 4 is used to transmit a first service. The first service terminates at the third network element and does not involve a small-granule channel between the third and second network elements. Therefore, no small-granule channel matching small-granule channel 4 exists on the second network element. Therefore, small-granule channel 4 may be deleted before removing the third network element. In this way, by deleting the small-particle channel that terminates at the third network element and is not matched to the port small particle on the second network element, the problem of the small-particle channel error caused by the removal of the third network element, which in turn affects the transmission of the service, can be avoided, and the reliability and fault tolerance of network transmission can be improved after scaling down.

[0078] In this embodiment, after using the second small-granularity channel to transmit the target service, capacity reduction can be achieved by removing the third network element. This capacity reduction reduces the use of unnecessary hardware and resources, thereby achieving the goal of saving network operating costs. It also reduces the complexity of the network system and simplifies network management and maintenance. Since the third network element is removed, the number of nodes in the service transmission path is reduced, which can improve the speed of service transmission.

[0079] As shown in FIG11 , which is another schematic diagram of a service transmission method provided by an exemplary embodiment of the present application, a third target network element is connected between the first target network element and the second target network element through a small port granularity, and the method may include the following steps:

[0080] Step S1110: In response to the third target network element being removed between the first target network element and the second target network element, a second target small particle channel corresponding to the first target small particle channel is constructed by adjusting the port small particle of the first target small particle channel on the third target network element.

[0081] The first target small-particle channel is a small-particle channel between the first target network element and the second target network element before the third target network element is removed. The type of the first target small-particle channel may include a termination type and an intersection type. The termination type is used to indicate that the small-particle channel terminates at the first target network element and the second target network element, and the intersection type is used to indicate that the small-particle channel intersects at least one of the first target network element and the second target network element. When the type of the first target small-particle channel is a termination type, the first target small-particle channel includes a first target small-particle sub-channel that terminates at the first target network element and the third target network element, and a second target small-particle sub-channel that terminates at the third target network element and the second target network element.

[0082] Step S1120: deploy the target service to the second target small-granularity channel for transmission.

[0083] In an embodiment of the present application, by responding to removing the third target network element between the first target network element and the second target network element, and then adjusting the port small particles of the first target small particle channel on the third target network element, a second target small particle channel corresponding to the first target small particle channel is constructed, and then the second target small particle channel is used to transmit the target service. This can reduce the use of unnecessary hardware equipment and resources, thereby achieving the goal of saving network operating costs. At the same time, it can reduce the complexity of the network system and simplify network management and maintenance. Since the third target network element is removed, the number of nodes in the service transmission path becomes fewer, which can increase the speed of service transmission.

[0084] In one implementation, before constructing the second target small particle channel corresponding to the first target small particle channel, the method further includes: deleting the small particle channel that terminates at the third target network element and is not matched to a port small particle on the second target network element.

[0085] It should be noted that the specific content of this embodiment can be referred to the relevant description in the embodiments shown in Figures 1 to 10, and will not be repeated here.

[0086] In another implementation, the first target small particle channel includes a first target small particle sub-channel terminating at the first target network element and the third target network element, and a second target small particle sub-channel terminating at the third target network element and the second target network element. By adjusting the port small particles of the first target small particle channel on the third target network element, a second target small particle channel corresponding to the first target small particle channel is constructed, including: docking the first target small particle sub-channel with the second target small particle sub-channel to obtain the second target small particle channel.

[0087] It should be noted that the specific content of this embodiment can be referred to the relevant description in the embodiments shown in Figures 1 to 10, and will not be repeated here.

[0088] In another implementation, the first target small particle channel includes a small particle channel that passes through the third target network element in a cross form. By adjusting the port small particle of the first target small particle channel on the third target network element, a second target small particle channel corresponding to the first target small particle channel is constructed, including: deleting the cross node on the first target small particle channel corresponding to the port small particle of the third target network element to obtain the second target small particle channel.

[0089] It should be noted that the specific content of this embodiment can be referred to the relevant description in the embodiments shown in Figures 1 to 10, and will not be repeated here.

[0090] As shown in FIG12 , another schematic diagram of a service transmission method provided by an exemplary embodiment of the present application, which is applied to a third network element for capacity expansion, may include the following steps:

[0091] Step S1210: in response to the expansion request of the target small-granularity service between the first network element and the second network element, a small-granularity access is established between the first network element and the second network element through its port to construct a second small-granularity channel corresponding to the first small-granularity channel.

[0092] The first small-granularity channel is a small-granularity channel between the first network element and the second network element before expansion.

[0093] In an embodiment of the present application, in response to a capacity expansion request for a target small-granularity service, the third network element is connected to the first network element and the second network element through its port small granularity to construct a second small-granularity channel corresponding to the first small-granularity channel, thereby providing an additional service transmission path. This achieves capacity expansion at a smaller granularity while improving the utilization rate of the third network element, more accurately improving the utilization rate of the network, meeting the transmission needs of more services, and sharing the load of the original network link, thereby enhancing the reliability and redundancy of the network.

[0094] As shown in FIG13, a structural diagram of a small-particle scaling system provided by the present application based on the above-mentioned embodiments is shown. The small-particle scaling system 1300 includes: a scaling module 1310, a protection module 1320, an operation management and maintenance (OAM) / time-multiplexed switching (TMS) module 1330, and a protection module 1340. [0095] In this fine-grained scaling system, the scaling module leverages the computing power provided by the protection module and the OAM / TMS module to calculate segment-layer protection, TMS, and OAM in the shared ring scenario. The end-to-end component then obtains data change results for the shared ring tunnel, its TNP, and MPLS-TP tunnels, completing end-to-end service data deployment. The protection module, OAM / TMS module, and end-to-end component access data from the first and second database managers during the data change calculation process.
