Abstract
Description
Composite connection gun, composite connection socket and charging equipment used for charging equipment
[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on September 30, 2023, with application number 202311288728.4 and application name “Composite connection gun, composite connection socket and charging device for charging equipment”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0003] The present application relates to the field of vehicles, and in particular to a composite connection gun, a composite connection socket and a charging device used in a charging device. Background Art
[0004] There are two main ways to recharge electric vehicles: charging and battery swapping (replacing the battery). Charging is limited by the battery's charging speed, typically taking 1-2 hours to fully charge, which doesn't meet the rapid charging needs of electric vehicles. Therefore, battery swapping has gained popularity in some passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks. Current electric vehicle battery swapping stations typically serve only a single or a few brands, limiting the number of vehicles and the number of users. Furthermore, battery swapping stations are relatively expensive to build, making it difficult to generate operating returns and imposing high user costs.
[0005] With breakthroughs in high-rate battery technology for 3C and above, high-rate supercharging is now also possible for lithium batteries, significantly increasing charging speeds. However, high-rate supercharging places higher demands on the battery management system, which needs to quickly dissipate the heat during supercharging. Improving the vehicle's battery management system's heat dissipation capabilities is costly, and this improvement is only effective during charging; it is redundant in other operating conditions, increasing vehicle weight and increasing energy consumption.
[0006] Summary of the Invention

The plug-in end also includes a first connection confirmation terminal, one end of the first connection confirmation terminal is used to connect to a first connection confirmation socket of the on-vehicle connection socket, and the other end of the first connection confirmation terminal is used to connect to a first connection confirmation circuit. When the first connection confirmation terminal is connected to the first connection confirmation socket, the first connection confirmation circuit and the connection confirmation circuit connected to the first connection confirmation socket form a first connection confirmation circuit, which is used to confirm the connection status of the liquid supply plug and the liquid return plug with the on-vehicle connection socket.
[0009] In the technical solution provided by this application, when the under-vehicle connection gun is plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket, the coolant line between the liquid cooling unit and the battery management system can be connected. [0065] For ease of understanding, let's first explain the application scenarios of the under-vehicle connection gun and on-vehicle connection socket involved in this application. The under-vehicle connection gun provided in an embodiment of the present application can be adapted to form a connection device with the on-vehicle connection socket provided in an embodiment of the present application. This connection device can be used in vehicles, such as electric vehicles such as electric sedans and electric heavy trucks, or hybrid vehicles. During vehicle charging, this connection device can connect the coolant pipeline of the under-vehicle (off-vehicle) liquid cooling unit with the coolant pipeline of the battery management system (BMS) on the vehicle (on the vehicle), enabling coolant transfer between the liquid cooling unit and the BMS, thereby improving the BMS's heat exchange capacity for the vehicle's batteries. The connection device can also electrically connect charging equipment such as charging piles with the vehicle's battery (or battery pack), enabling electrical energy transfer between the charging equipment and the vehicle's battery, thereby charging the vehicle's battery. When the connection device can transfer both coolant and electrical energy, the under-vehicle connection gun can also be called a composite connection gun, and correspondingly, the on-vehicle connection socket can also be called a composite connection socket. It can be understood that the under-vehicle connecting gun and the on-vehicle connecting socket provided in the embodiment of the present application are not limited to mutual adaptation. That is to say, the under-vehicle connecting gun provided in the embodiment of the present application can also be adapted with other on-vehicle connecting structures to form a connecting device with the above-mentioned functions. Similarly, the on-vehicle connecting socket provided in the embodiment of the present application can also be adapted with other under-vehicle connecting structures to form a connecting device with the above-mentioned functions.
[0066] In related technologies, high-rate supercharging places higher heat dissipation requirements on the battery management system, which must quickly dissipate the heat generated by the battery during supercharging. Improving the vehicle's battery management system's heat dissipation capabilities to accommodate supercharging is not only costly, but also only effectively utilized during battery charging, becoming redundant in other operating conditions. It also increases vehicle weight and leads to higher energy consumption.
[0067] Based on this, an embodiment of the present application provides a connecting device, as shown in Figure 1, the connecting device 3 can connect the liquid cooling unit 2 outside the vehicle 1 and the coolant pipeline of the battery management system on the vehicle 1, and use the liquid cooling unit 2 under the vehicle to improve the heat dissipation capacity of the battery management system on the vehicle 1 for the power battery of the vehicle 1, meet the battery supercharging heat dissipation requirements, reduce the cost of upgrading and transforming the battery management system of the vehicle 1, avoid waste of resources when not charging, and have little impact on the weight and energy consumption of the entire vehicle 1.
[0068] Referring to Figure 2, a schematic diagram of the structure of the connection device provided by the present application is shown. In the following figures, the coordinate directions indicated by the x-axis represent the first direction, the y-axis represents the second direction, and the z-axis represents the third direction. The second direction may be perpendicular to the first direction, and the third direction may be perpendicular to both the first and second directions. As shown in Figure 2, the connection device provided by an embodiment of the present application may include an under-vehicle connection gun 100 and an on-vehicle connection socket 200 that can be plugged together along a first direction. The first direction described above is the plugging direction between the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200, referred to as the plugging direction. The second and third directions are perpendicular to the plugging direction, respectively. In actual application, the plugging direction may be horizontal, or it may be tilted upward at a certain angle relative to the horizontal. The on-vehicle connection socket 200 may be fixedly connected to the vehicle. The off-vehicle connection gun 100 may include a first housing 101, and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 may include a second housing 201. When the off-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are plugged together, the first end of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 in the plugging direction may be plugged into the first end of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 in the plugging direction. In this case, the first end of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 in the plugging direction may also be referred to as the plugging end of the off-vehicle connection gun 100, and correspondingly, the first end of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 in the plugging direction may also be referred to as the plugging end of the on-vehicle connection socket 200. Specifically, the first end of the first housing 101 in the plugging direction may be docked with the first end of the second housing 201 in the plugging direction, that is, the first end of the first housing 101 in the first direction may be docked with the first end of the second housing 201 in the first direction. The second end of the first housing 101 in the first direction may be connected to an air conditioning liquid cooling unit outside the vehicle. The second end of the second housing 201 in the first direction may be connected to the coolant line of the vehicle's battery management system.
[0069] FIG3 illustrates a schematic structural diagram of the under-vehicle connection gun provided herein. As shown in FIG3 , in a specific implementation, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may further include a first connection confirmation terminal 102, a liquid supply plug 103, and a liquid return plug 104. The first connection confirmation terminal 102, the liquid supply plug 103, and the liquid return plug 104 may be respectively disposed at the first end of the first housing 101 along a first direction. The liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 may have the same length protruding from the first end of the first housing 101 in the first direction. The liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 may be spaced apart in a second direction. The liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 may each be connected to a liquid cooling unit (or air conditioning liquid cooling unit) outside the vehicle via a pipeline. Coolant may flow through the liquid cooling unit. The first connection confirmation terminal 102 may be located between the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 in the second direction. The first connection confirmation terminal 102 is connected to a first connection confirmation circuit. The first connection confirmation circuit may be provided on the under-vehicle connection gun 100 or on the liquid cooling unit. For example, the first connection confirmation circuit may be integrated into the liquid cooling unit controller.
[0070] FIG4 illustrates a schematic structural diagram of the vehicle connection socket provided herein. As shown in FIG4 , the vehicle connection socket 200 may further include a first connection confirmation socket 202, a liquid inlet socket 203, and a liquid outlet socket 204. The first connection confirmation socket 202, the liquid inlet socket 203, and the liquid outlet socket 204 may be respectively disposed at the first end of the second housing 201 along a first direction. The liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 may be disposed at equal lengths protruding from the first end of the second housing 201 in the first direction. The liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 are spaced apart in a second direction. The liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 may each be connected to a coolant line of the vehicle's battery management system via a pipeline. Coolant may flow through the coolant line of the battery management system. The first connection confirmation socket 202 may be located between the liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 in the second direction. The first connection confirmation socket 202 is connected to a third connection confirmation circuit of the vehicle. The third connection confirmation circuit may be disposed on the vehicle connection socket 200 or in the vehicle itself. For example, the third connection confirmation circuit may be integrated into the vehicle controller. When the off-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are plugged in, the first connection confirmation terminal 102 of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 can be electrically connected to the first connection confirmation socket 202 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200, thereby connecting the first connection confirmation circuit and the third connection confirmation circuit. The first connection confirmation circuit and the third connection confirmation circuit constitute a first connection confirmation loop, thereby confirming the connection status of the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 with the liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 respectively.
[0071] In actual application, when the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 and the on-vehicle connecting socket 200 are plugged in, the first end of the first shell 101 along the first direction is docked with the first end of the second shell 201 along the first direction, the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 are interconnected, and the liquid return plug 104 and the liquid outlet socket 204 are interconnected. At this time, the structural conditions for the coolant pipelines of the liquid cooling unit and the battery management system to be interconnected to transmit the coolant are met. When the first connection confirmation terminal 102 of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 is electrically connected to the first connection confirmation socket 202 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the first connection confirmation circuit is connected to the third connection confirmation circuit to form a first connection confirmation loop. The vehicle controller confirms that the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 of the off-vehicle connection gun 100 are respectively successfully connected to the liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200. At this time, the vehicle controller can respond. Specifically, the vehicle controller can control the coolant pipeline of the battery management system to open. The vehicle controller and the liquid cooling unit controller can communicate. The liquid cooling unit controller can control the liquid cooling unit to open, so that the coolant pipeline of the battery management system and the liquid cooling unit can transmit coolant through the interconnected liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 and the interconnected liquid return plug 104 and the liquid outlet socket 204. The liquid cooling unit can assist the battery management system in dissipating heat for the vehicle power battery, thereby utilizing the liquid cooling unit under the vehicle to improve the heat dissipation capacity of the on-vehicle battery management system for the vehicle power battery, thereby meeting the battery supercharging heat dissipation requirements. By utilizing the under-vehicle connection gun 100 or the on-vehicle connection socket 200 provided in the embodiment of the present application, it is possible to meet the heat dissipation requirements of the vehicle battery during overcharging without upgrading or modifying the battery management system on the vehicle, or to upgrade and modify the battery management system on the vehicle to a relatively small extent. This can reduce the cost of upgrading and modifying the battery management system on the vehicle, and to a large extent avoid the waste of resources caused by upgrading and modifying the battery management system on the vehicle when the battery is not charging, and will hardly increase the overall weight of the vehicle, nor will it increase the energy consumption of the vehicle.
[0072] In a specific implementation, the liquid supply plug 103 can be connected to a liquid cooling unit outside the vehicle via a pipeline, and the liquid supply plug 103 is sealed to the pipeline. The sealing method can be to use a sealing ring structure at the connection, or to achieve sealing by glue filling at the connection. Similarly, the liquid return plug 104 can be connected to a liquid cooling unit outside the vehicle via a pipeline, and the liquid return plug 104 is sealed to the pipeline. The liquid inlet socket 203 can be connected to the coolant pipeline of the vehicle's battery management system via a pipeline, and the liquid inlet socket 203 is sealed to the pipeline. The liquid outlet socket 204 can be connected to the coolant pipeline of the vehicle's battery management system via a pipeline, and the liquid outlet socket 204 is sealed to the pipeline.
[0073] The vehicle controller can detect changes in the voltage of the first connection confirmation circuit to determine whether the first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 are connected and conductive, that is, to determine whether the first connection confirmation circuit is connected to the third connection confirmation circuit. Specifically, when the first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 are electrically connected, the vehicle controller detects a change in the voltage of the first connection confirmation circuit. The vehicle controller then determines that the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are successfully connected. The vehicle controller then controls the battery management system to open the coolant line. The vehicle controller then communicates with the liquid cooling unit controller, which controls the liquid cooling unit controller to open the coolant line, enabling coolant transfer between the liquid cooling unit and the battery management system. This improves the heat exchange capacity of the battery management system and the heat exchange capacity of the battery management system for the vehicle battery. It is understood that the battery management system can dissipate heat from the vehicle battery or heat the vehicle battery. The liquid cooling unit can improve the heat dissipation capacity of the battery management system for the vehicle battery or improve the heating capacity of the battery management system for the vehicle battery.
[0074] Figure 5 shows a partial schematic diagram of the structure of the fluid supply plug for the under-vehicle connection gun provided in this application. As shown in Figure 5 , in one possible design, the fluid supply plug 103 may include a sleeve 1031 and a piston tube 1032. The sleeve 1031 and piston tube 1032 can be connected in a first direction. The piston tube 1032 may be a hollow tubular structure having a first end and a second end. The first end of the piston tube 1032 is open, while the second end is closed. The first end of the piston tube 1032 can be connected to the on-vehicle connection socket 200, and the second end of the piston tube 1032 can be connected to a liquid cooling unit via a pipeline. A through hole 1033 is provided on the sidewall of the piston tube 1032 near the second end, connecting the pipeline to the piston tube 1032. The piston tube 1032 and the sleeve 1031 can move relative to each other in a first direction, so that the sleeve 1031 avoids or closes the through hole 1033 of the piston tube 1032, thereby connecting the piston tube 1032 to the pipeline through the through hole 1033 to connect with the liquid cooling unit, or disconnecting the piston tube 1032 from the pipeline to disconnect the liquid cooling unit. Specifically, when the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is not connected to the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the sleeve 1031 closes the through hole 1033, thereby blocking the passage between the pipeline and the piston tube 1032. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is connected to the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the sleeve 1031 avoids the through hole 1033, thereby connecting the pipeline and the piston tube 1032.
[0075] During specific implementation, the piston tube 1032 can be movably sleeved in the sleeve 1031, and the piston tube 1032 can move relative to the sleeve 1031. A spring can be provided in the sleeve 1031, and the two ends of the spring are respectively connected to the piston tube 1032 and the sleeve 1031. When the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 and the on-vehicle connecting socket 200 are plugged in, the piston tube 1032 moves relative to the sleeve 1031.
[0076] The return plug 104 can have the same structure as the supply plug 103, and the liquid inlet and outlet receptacles 203 and 204 can also have the same structure as the supply plug 103. For example, the liquid inlet and outlet receptacles 203 and 203 can have the same structure as the supply plug 103. The supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet and outlet receptacles 203 form a pair of male and female connectors. The sleeve of the liquid inlet and outlet receptacles 203 avoids or closes the through-hole of the piston tube, allowing the piston tube to connect or disconnect with the coolant line of the vehicle's battery management system through the through-hole. Similarly, the return plug 104 and the liquid outlet receptacle 204 can also form a pair of male and female connectors.
[0077] Taking the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 as an example to form a pair of male and female connectors, when the connectors are not connected, the sleeve 1031 of each connector closes the through hole 1033 on the piston tube 1032 under the elastic force of the spring. When the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 and the on-vehicle connecting socket 200 are plugged in, the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 are connected, and the piston tubes 1032 of the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 push against each other. The liquid supply plug 103 and the piston tube 1032 of the liquid inlet socket 203 move separately, and the through hole 1033 on the piston tube 1032 is avoided by the sleeve 1031, so that the two connectors are connected to each other, and the coolant can flow between the coolant pipeline of the liquid cooling unit and the battery management system of the vehicle; the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 When disconnected from the vehicle's connection socket 200, the liquid supply plug 103 separates from the liquid inlet socket 203. The piston tubes 1032 of the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 each move in opposite directions under the elastic force of the spring. The through-holes 1033 on the piston tubes 1032 of each connector are sealed by the sleeve 1031, effectively sealing both connectors and preventing leakage. Similarly, the liquid return plug 104 and the liquid outlet socket 204 form a pair of male and female connectors. When connected, the two connectors communicate with each other, and when separated, they are each sealed.
[0078] As a possible embodiment, as shown in FIG2 , the first housing 101 may be provided with a first positioning through-hole 105. The first positioning through-hole 105 may be located near the first end of the first housing 101 along the first direction. A locking portion 300 may be fixedly connected or pluggably connected to the first positioning through-hole 105. The second housing 201 may be provided with a second positioning through-hole 205. The second positioning through-hole 205 may be located near the first end of the second housing 201 along the first direction. The position of the second positioning through-hole 205 corresponds to the position of the first positioning through-hole 105 in the second direction or the third direction.
[0079] When the undercarriage connection gun 100 and the oncar connection socket 200 are plugged in, the locking portion 300 can extend vertically from the first positioning hole 105 into the second positioning hole 205 along the first direction, or the locking portion 300 can extend vertically from the first positioning hole 105 into the second positioning hole 205 along the third direction, to lock the relative position of the first housing 101 and the second housing 201, thereby locking the relative position of the undercarriage connection gun 100 and the oncar connection socket 200, preventing the undercarriage connection gun 100 from being uncontrollably removed. In a specific implementation, the first positioning hole 105 can be provided at the top or side of the first housing 101, and correspondingly, the second positioning hole 205 can be provided at the top or side of the second housing 201. In this way, when the undercarriage connection gun 100 and the oncar connection socket 200 are plugged in, the locking portion 300 can be located at the top or side of the undercarriage connection gun 100 and the oncar connection socket 200 as a whole, making it easier to operate the locking portion 300. Specifically, the locking portion 300 may be an electronic lock, which may be controlled by a vehicle controller or a liquid cooling unit controller.
[0080] In a specific implementation, the locking portion 300 can also be fixedly connected or pluggably connected in the second positioning through hole 205. When the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 and the on-vehicle connecting socket 200 are plugged in, the locking portion 300 can extend from the second positioning through hole 205 vertically along the first direction into the first positioning through hole 105 to lock the relative positions of the first shell 101 and the second shell 201.
[0081] As a possible embodiment, as shown in FIG3 , the first shell 101 may be provided with a power-assisting handle structure 400. The power-assisting handle structure 400 may include a gripping portion 403, a first connecting portion 401 and a second connecting portion 402. The first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 are spaced apart, and the first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 are respectively connected to the two ends of the gripping portion 403. In a specific implementation, the first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 may be respectively connected to the two opposite sides of the first shell 101 along the second direction. In a specific implementation, the power-assisting handle may be similar to a U-shaped structure, with the first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 serving as two opposite sides of the U-shaped structure. Specifically, the first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 may both be strip-shaped structures, with one end of the first connecting portion 401 being free, and one end of the second connecting portion 402 being free, and the other end of the first connecting portion 401 and the other end of the second connecting portion 402 being connected through the gripping portion 403, thus forming a U-shaped structure. The gripping portion 403 may be a strip-shaped structure, and the gripping portion 403 may be provided with a groove to conform to the shape of a human hand for stable grip. The first connecting portion 401 and the second connecting portion 402 may be connected to the left and right sides of the first shell 101, respectively, or to the upper and lower sides of the first shell 101, respectively. The specific connection method may be a hinged connection method. In actual application, the power-assisting handle structure 400 can be rotated within a certain angle range relative to the under-vehicle connection gun 100 to facilitate adjustment of the power-assisting angle, making it easier to plug the under-vehicle connection gun 100 into the on-vehicle connection socket 200.
[0082] In a specific implementation, the power-assisting handle structure 400 may include only a grip portion 403, which may be positioned near the second end or the first end of the first housing 101 along the first direction. The grip portion 403 may be U-shaped, curved, or similar, in which case both ends of the grip portion 403 may be fixedly connected to the first housing 101. Alternatively, the grip portion 403 may be linear, curved, or similar, in which case one end of the grip portion 403 may be fixedly connected to the first housing 101, while the other end is free. During actual use, the operator can hold the grip portion 403 and apply force to the under-vehicle connection gun 100, causing the under-vehicle connection gun 100 to plug into the on-vehicle connection socket 200.
[0083] Figure 6 shows a schematic structural diagram of the under-vehicle connection gun provided by the present application. As shown in Figure 6, the connection device provided in the embodiment of the present application may also include a plug-in auxiliary structure 500. In a specific configuration, the plug-in auxiliary structure 500 can be installed on the vehicle. The plug-in auxiliary structure 500 may include a traction frame 501 extending and movable along a first direction. One end of the traction frame 501 can be movably connected to the vehicle, and the other end of the traction frame 501 can be provided with an abutment portion 502. The traction frame 501 can be installed at the same position on the vehicle as the on-vehicle connection socket 200. The traction frame 501 can cover the on-vehicle connection socket 200 in the first direction.
[0084] In a specific configuration, the outer wall of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 can be provided with a protrusion 109. Specifically, the outer wall of the first housing 101 can be provided with the protrusion 109. The protrusion 109 can be located near the first end of the first housing 101 along the first direction. In the first direction, the projection of the protrusion 109 at least partially overlaps with the projection of the abutment 502. When the traction frame 501 moves toward the on-vehicle connection socket 200 along the first direction, the protrusion 109 abuts the abutment 502. The traction frame 501 can help overcome resistance to the connection between the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 (such as the elastic force of the spring described above with respect to the liquid supply plug 103), pulling the under-vehicle connection gun 100 from the first position to the second position, that is, pulling the under-vehicle connection gun 100 toward the on-vehicle connection socket 200, thereby enabling the under-vehicle connection gun 100 to be connected to the on-vehicle connection socket 200, thereby facilitating the connection between the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200.
[0085] In actual configuration, the traction frame 501 can be connected to a power source of the vehicle. For example, the traction frame 501 can be connected to an air source of the vehicle. Specifically, the traction frame 501 can be connected to an air cylinder of the vehicle, and the air cylinder drives the traction frame 501 to move, thereby achieving movement of the traction frame 501 in the first direction.
[0086] In a specific implementation, when the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is connected to the on-vehicle connection socket 200 and the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is in the first position, the towing frame 501 pulls the under-vehicle connection gun 100 from the first position to the second position, fully connecting the under-vehicle connection gun 100 with the on-vehicle connection socket 200. This means that the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are successfully connected. As shown in Figures 3 and 4 , the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may further include a signal trigger terminal 106, which may be disposed at a first end of the first housing 101 along a first direction. The on-vehicle connection socket 200 may further include a signal trigger socket 206, which may be disposed at a first end of the second housing 201 along a first direction. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is in the first position, the signal trigger socket 206 and the signal trigger terminal 106 may be electrically connected to the vehicle's control circuitry, thereby confirming the connection position of the under-vehicle connection gun 100. The vehicle's control circuitry may be integrated into the vehicle controller. For example, the traction frame 501 is connected to the cylinder of the vehicle. When the signal trigger socket 206 and the signal trigger terminal 106 are electrically connected, the vehicle controller responds. Specifically, the vehicle controller controls the operation of the cylinder, thereby controlling the movement of the traction frame 501, so that the traction frame 501 pulls the under-vehicle connection gun 100 from the first position to the second position, completing the connection between the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200.
[0087] In a specific implementation, the signal trigger terminal 106 can be located between the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 in the second direction, and the signal trigger terminal 106 and the first connection confirmation terminal 102 are spaced apart in the third direction. The first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the signal trigger terminal 106 can be arranged in a row in the third direction. The signal trigger socket 206 can be located between the liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 in the second direction, and the signal trigger socket 206 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 are spaced apart in the third direction. The first connection confirmation socket 202 and the signal trigger socket 206 can be arranged in a row in the third direction.
[0088] In the first direction, the length of the first connection confirmation terminal 102 protruding from the first housing 101 and the length of the first connection confirmation socket 202 protruding from the second housing 201 is L3. The length of the signal trigger terminal 106 protruding from the first housing 101 and the length of the signal trigger socket 206 protruding from the second housing 201 are L2, where L3 < L2. During the plugging process between the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the signal trigger terminal 106 and the signal trigger socket 206 are connected first, followed by the first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the first connection confirmation socket 202. Specifically, when the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is in the first position, the signal trigger terminal 106 and the signal trigger socket 206 are electrically connected, while the first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 are disconnected. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is in the second position, the first connection confirmation terminal 102 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 are electrically connected. Figure 7 illustrates a schematic diagram of the terminals of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 and the sockets corresponding to the terminals. In Figure 7, the plug represents the gun side (or plug side), which corresponds to the under-vehicle connection gun 100; the socket represents the vehicle side (or socket side), which corresponds to the on-vehicle connection socket 200; CC3 respectively represents the length of the first connection confirmation terminal 102 exposed from the first shell 101 and the length of the first connection confirmation socket 202 exposed from the second shell 201, and CC2 respectively represents the length of the signal trigger terminal 106 exposed from the first shell 101 and the length of the signal trigger socket 206 exposed from the second shell 201. As shown in Figure 7, d3>d2 (or d3'>d2'), which illustrates the above-mentioned L3<L2.
[0089] In actual application, when the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is in the first position, it can correspond to the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 being in a semi-connected state. At this time, the signal trigger terminal 106 and the signal trigger socket 206 are electrically connected, and the vehicle controller controls the traction frame 501 to move to pull the under-vehicle connection gun 100 from the first position to the second position, so that the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket 200, that is, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are fully connected. When the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 is in the second position, that is, when the under-vehicle connecting gun 100 is fully connected to the on-vehicle connecting socket 200, the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 are interconnected, the liquid return plug 104 and the liquid outlet socket 204 are interconnected, and the coolant pipelines of the liquid cooling unit and the battery management system are interconnected to meet the structural conditions for transmitting coolant. At this time, the first connection confirmation terminal 102 is electrically connected to the first connection confirmation socket 202, the vehicle controller controls the coolant pipeline of the battery management system to open, the vehicle controller communicates with the liquid cooling unit controller, the liquid cooling unit controller controls the liquid cooling unit to open, and the coolant pipeline of the battery management system and the liquid cooling unit can transmit coolant.
[0090] Figure 8 shows another schematic diagram of the structure of the under-vehicle connection gun provided by this application. Figure 9 shows another schematic diagram of the structure of the on-vehicle connection socket provided by this application. As shown in Figure 8 , the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may also include multiple charging plugs 107. In this case, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 can transmit both coolant and electrical energy, and the under-vehicle connection gun 100 can be referred to as a composite connection gun. The multiple charging plugs 107 can be disposed at the first end of the first housing 101 along the first direction. One end of the charging plug 107 can connect to the power module of the charging device, and the other end of the charging plug 107 can output direct current. As shown in Figure 9 , corresponding to the under-vehicle connection gun 100, the on-vehicle connection socket 200 may also include multiple charging sockets 207. Similarly, the on-vehicle connection socket 200 can transmit both coolant and electrical energy, and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 can be referred to as a composite connection socket. The multiple charging sockets 207 can be disposed at the first end of the second housing 201 along the first direction, and the multiple charging sockets 207 can be electrically connected to the vehicle's battery. The length of the first end of the charging plug 107 protruding from the first housing 101 in the first direction is the same as the length of the first end of the charging socket 207 protruding from the second housing 201 in the first direction. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the multiple charging plugs 107 are electrically connected to the multiple charging sockets 207 in a one-to-one correspondence, allowing the charging device to charge the vehicle's battery.
[0091] In a specific implementation, for example, the undercar connection gun 100 includes three charging plugs 107 , which serve as the positive (DC+), negative (DC-), and ground (PE) poles of the undercar connection gun 100 . The onboard connection socket 200 includes three charging sockets 207 . Similarly, the three charging sockets 207 serve as the positive (DC+), negative (DC-), and ground (PE) poles of the onboard connection socket 200 . When the undercar connection gun 100 and the onboard connection socket 200 are plugged in, the three charging plugs 107 are electrically connected to the three charging sockets 207 in a one-to-one correspondence. Specifically, the positive charging plug 107 is electrically connected to the positive charging socket 207 , the negative charging plug 107 is electrically connected to the negative charging socket 207 , and the ground charging plug 107 is electrically connected to the ground charging socket 207 .
[0092] In a specific implementation, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may further include a second connection confirmation terminal 108, which may be disposed at the first end of the first housing 101 along the first direction. The second connection confirmation terminal 108 may be located between the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid return plug 104 in the second direction, and spaced apart from the first connection confirmation terminal 102 in the third direction. The first connection confirmation terminal 102, the signal trigger terminal 106, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108 may be arranged in a row in the third direction. The second connection confirmation terminal 108 is connected to a second connection confirmation circuit. The second connection confirmation circuit may be disposed on the under-vehicle connection gun 100 or on the charging device; for example, the second connection confirmation circuit may be integrated into the charging device controller. Corresponding to the under-vehicle connection gun 100, the on-vehicle connection socket 200 may further include a second connection confirmation socket 208, which may be disposed at the first end of the second housing 201 along the first direction. The second connection confirmation socket 208 can be located between the liquid inlet socket 203 and the liquid outlet socket 204 in the second direction, and the second connection confirmation socket 208 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 can be spaced apart in the third direction. The first connection confirmation socket 202, the signal trigger socket 206, and the second connection confirmation socket 208 can be arranged in a row in the third direction. The second connection confirmation socket 208 is connected to a fourth connection confirmation circuit. The fourth connection confirmation circuit can be provided in the vehicle connection socket 200 or in the vehicle. For example, the fourth connection confirmation circuit can be integrated into the vehicle controller.
[0093] When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are plugged in, the second connection confirmation terminal 108 of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 can be electrically connected to the second connection confirmation socket 208 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200, thereby connecting the second connection confirmation circuit and the fourth connection confirmation circuit. The second connection confirmation circuit and the fourth connection confirmation circuit form a second connection confirmation loop, which can then confirm the connection status of the charging plug 107 of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the charging socket 207 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200. When the second connection confirmation terminal 108 and the second connection confirmation socket 208 are electrically connected, the second connection confirmation circuit and the fourth connection confirmation circuit form a second connection confirmation loop, and the vehicle controller confirms that the charging plug 107 of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is successfully connected to the charging socket 207 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200. At this time, the vehicle controller can respond. Specifically, the vehicle controller can control the charging circuit of the vehicle's battery to be turned on, the vehicle controller and the charging device controller can communicate, and the charging device controller can control the charging circuit of the charging device to be turned on, so that the charging device and the vehicle's battery can transmit electrical energy through the electrically connected charging plug 107 and the charging socket 207, so that the charging device can charge the vehicle's battery.
[0094] In a specific embodiment, in the first direction, the length of the first connection confirmation terminal 102 exposed from the first housing 101 and the length of the first connection confirmation socket 202 exposed from the second housing 201 are L3, the length of the second connection confirmation terminal 108 exposed from the first housing 101 and the length of the second connection confirmation socket 208 exposed from the second housing 201 are L1, and L1 ≤ L3. Referring again to FIG. 7 , in FIG. 7 , CC1 represents the length of the second connection confirmation terminal 108 exposed from the first housing 101 and the length of the second connection confirmation socket 208 exposed from the second housing 201, respectively. As shown in FIG. 7 , d1 ≥ d3 (or d1' ≥ d3'), indicating the aforementioned L1 ≤ L3.
[0095] During the process of plugging the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the on-vehicle connection socket 200, there can be two connection situations for the connection confirmation terminals. One is that the first connection confirmation terminal 102 is connected to the first connection confirmation socket 202 first, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108 is connected to the second connection confirmation socket 208 later. The other is that the first connection confirmation terminal 102 is connected to the first connection confirmation socket 202 while the second connection confirmation terminal 108 is connected to the second connection confirmation socket 208. These two connection situations can ensure that the vehicle is charged while being connected to the liquid cooling unit. The vehicle can be connected to the liquid cooling unit first and then powered on by the charging equipment, ensuring that the heat dissipation requirements of the vehicle's battery supercharging can be met, and ensuring the safety and stability of supercharging.
[0096] In a specific implementation, in addition to the arrangement shown in FIG3 , the first connection confirmation terminal 102, the signal trigger terminal 106, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108 may also be arranged in other arrangements. For example, the first connection confirmation terminal 102, the signal trigger terminal 106, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108 may be arranged in a row in the second direction, or the first connection confirmation terminal 102, the signal trigger terminal 106, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108 may be arranged in multiple rows in the second and third directions. The first connection confirmation socket 202, the signal trigger socket 206, and the second connection confirmation socket 208 may also be arranged in other different arrangements. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket 200, they can be electrically connected to the first connection confirmation terminal 102, the signal trigger terminal 106, and the second connection confirmation terminal 108, respectively.
[0097] As a possible embodiment, a cooling pool can be provided in the undercar connection gun 100, and the cooling pool can be in thermal contact with the charging plug 107. Specifically, the cooling pool can be formed in the first shell 101. The thermal contact mentioned here can be direct contact or indirect contact. A cable electrically connected to the charging plug 107 can be provided inside the first shell 101 to achieve electrical connection between the charging plug 107 and the charging device, and the cooling pool can also be in thermal contact with the cable electrically connected to the charging plug 107.
[0098] The cooling pool has a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. The liquid inlet and the liquid outlet can be respectively arranged at the second end of the first housing 101 along the first direction, and the liquid inlet and the liquid outlet are spaced apart in the second direction. The liquid inlet and the liquid outlet can be connected to a liquid cooling unit outside the vehicle through pipelines. The projection of the cooling pool along the vertical direction (such as the third direction) of the plug-in direction can cover at least a portion of the charging plug 107 and at least a portion of the cable electrically connected to the charging plug 107, so that the liquid cooling unit can dissipate heat from the cable when the charging device is charging the vehicle's battery.
[0099] In a specific implementation, a pipeline can be arranged within the first housing 101, serving as a cooling pool for the coolant. The two ends of the pipeline serve as a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, respectively. Vertically relative to the plugging direction, the pipeline's routing path can overlap with the routing locations of at least a portion of the charging plug 107 and at least a portion of the cables electrically connected to the charging plug 107. Alternatively, a cavity can be formed within the first housing 101, serving as a cooling pool for the coolant. The cavity has a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, and vertically relative to the plugging direction, the cavity can cover at least a portion of the charging plug 107 and at least a portion of the cables electrically connected to the charging plug 107. Multiple cooling pools can be arranged within the first housing 101, each of which can share a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. The multiple cooling pools can correspond to the cables electrically connected to the multiple charging plugs 107, thereby providing heat dissipation for each of the different cables. Exemplarily, two cooling pools are provided inside the first shell 101, and the two cooling pools correspond to the cable settings electrically connected to the positive pole (DC+) and negative pole (DC-) of the under-vehicle connecting gun 100, that is, the two cooling pools correspond to the positive cable and negative cable settings of the under-vehicle connecting gun 100, so as to dissipate heat for the positive cable and the negative cable respectively.
[0100] As a possible implementation, the first end of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may further include an auxiliary power plug. One end of the auxiliary power plug can be connected to the auxiliary power socket of the on-vehicle connection socket 200, and the other end of the auxiliary power plug can be connected to the low-voltage auxiliary power supply of the charging device. Correspondingly, the first end of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 may further include an auxiliary power socket. One end of the auxiliary power socket can be connected to the auxiliary power plug of the under-vehicle connection gun 100, and the other end of the auxiliary power socket can be connected to the vehicle's battery management system. In actual application, the low-voltage auxiliary power supply can be used to power the battery management system.
[0101] The first end of the undercar connection gun 100 may also include a communication plug, one end of which can be connected to the communication socket of the onboard connection socket 200, and the other end of which can be connected to the controller of the charging device. Correspondingly, the first end of the onboard connection socket 200 may also include a communication socket, one end of which can be connected to the communication plug of the undercar connection gun 100, and the other end of which can be connected to the vehicle's battery management system. In actual use, after the communication plug and the communication socket are connected, communication between the charging device controller and the vehicle's battery management system can be achieved.
[0102] The present application also provides a liquid cooling device, as shown in FIG1 . The liquid cooling device may include a liquid cooling unit 2 and the aforementioned under-vehicle connection gun 100. In this case, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may only function to transfer coolant, i.e., the under-vehicle connection gun 100 may not be a composite connection gun but simply a liquid connection gun. The liquid cooling unit 2 is located outside the vehicle 1, or under the vehicle. For example, the liquid cooling unit 2 may be located at a charging station or other location. The under-vehicle connection gun 100 may be connected to the liquid cooling unit 2 and, in turn, may be connected to the coolant pipeline of the battery management system of the vehicle 1 via an on-vehicle connection socket 200 or other on-vehicle connection structure. The under-vehicle connection gun 100 may be plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket 200. Thus, when the vehicle 1 is charging, the coolant pipelines of the liquid cooling unit 2 and the battery management system can communicate to transfer coolant, enabling the liquid cooling unit 2 to assist the battery management system in dissipating heat from the battery of the vehicle 1. Specifically, after the liquid supply plug and liquid return plug of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 are successfully connected to the vehicle's connection socket, the liquid cooling unit can output coolant to the vehicle's battery management system through the liquid supply plug to dissipate heat from the vehicle's battery 1. The liquid cooling unit can then receive coolant from the battery management system through the liquid return plug. This allows vehicle 1's battery to be overcharged without having to upgrade or modify the vehicle's battery management system. This not only saves on upgrade costs, but also avoids redundant upgrades when the battery is not charging, thus preventing an increase in vehicle 1's overall weight and energy consumption.
[0103] In a specific implementation, the liquid cooling unit may include a heat exchanger, a cold liquid tank, and a water pump. The liquid supply plug and the liquid return plug are connected to at least one of the heat exchanger and the cold liquid tank via pipelines. The cold liquid tank can hold coolant. The heat exchanger can receive coolant transferred from the liquid return plug via the pipeline. The water pump can drive the coolant to flow between the liquid supply plug, the liquid return plug, the heat exchanger, and the cold liquid tank.
[0104] The embodiment of the present application also provides a charging device, as shown in Figure 1, the charging device may include charging equipment such as a charging pile 4, a liquid cooling unit 2, a liquid cooling unit controller, a vehicle controller and the above-mentioned under-vehicle connection gun 100. In this case, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 can have both the function of transmitting coolant and the function of transmitting electrical energy, that is, the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is a composite connection gun. The charging pile 4 and the liquid cooling unit 2 can be arranged adjacent to each other or integrated into a whole to save layout space under the vehicle and facilitate centralized management and maintenance. The charging pile 4 may include a power module. While the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is connected to the liquid cooling unit 2, it can also be electrically connected to the power module of the charging pile 4. While the on-vehicle connection socket 200 is connected to the coolant pipeline of the battery management system of the vehicle 1, it can also be electrically connected to the battery of the vehicle 1. When the under-vehicle connection gun 100 is plugged into the on-vehicle connection socket 200, the liquid cooling unit 2 can assist the battery management system in dissipating heat from the vehicle 1 battery. Simultaneously, the charging station 4 can be electrically connected to the vehicle 1 battery, thereby enabling the charging station 4 to charge the vehicle 1 battery. Specifically, after the charging plug, liquid supply plug, and liquid return plug of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 are successfully connected to the composite connection socket or other on-vehicle connection structure, the power module can output DC power to the vehicle battery via the charging plug to charge the battery, the liquid cooling unit can output coolant to the vehicle battery management system via the liquid supply plug to dissipate heat from the battery, and the liquid cooling unit can receive coolant output from the battery management system via the liquid return plug.
[0105] In a specific implementation, the liquid cooling unit controller and the vehicle controller can be communicatively connected, for example, via a wireless module. When the first connection confirmation terminal 102 of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are electrically connected, the liquid cooling unit controller controls the liquid cooling unit 2 to transmit coolant to the under-vehicle connection gun 100, and the vehicle controller controls the coolant pipeline of the battery management system of the vehicle 1 to transmit coolant to the on-vehicle connection socket 200. As can be seen from the above description, when the first connection confirmation terminal 102 of the under-vehicle connection gun 100 and the first connection confirmation socket 202 of the on-vehicle connection socket 200 are electrically connected, the liquid supply plug 103 and the liquid inlet socket 203 are already connected, and the liquid return plug 104 and the liquid outlet socket 204 are also already connected. Thus, coolant can be transmitted between the liquid cooling unit 2 and the battery management system of the vehicle 1, and the liquid cooling unit 2 can assist the battery management system in dissipating heat from the battery of the vehicle 1, thereby meeting the heat dissipation requirements of the battery of the vehicle 1 during overcharging. The charging pile 4 and the vehicle controller can communicate with each other through a wireless module, etc. When the second connection confirmation terminal 108 of the connection gun 100 under the vehicle and the second connection confirmation socket 208 of the connection socket 200 on the vehicle are electrically connected, the charging plug 107 and the charging socket 207 are already electrically connected to each other. Thus, electric energy can be transmitted between the charging pile 4 and the battery of the vehicle 1, so that the charging pile 4 can charge the battery of the vehicle 1.
