[0048] In some embodiments, the battery may be an energy storage device, including an energy storage container, an energy storage cabinet, and the like.
[0049] Since the battery cells in the battery generate gas during the charge and discharge process, these gases will accumulate in the battery cells, causing the internal pressure of the battery cells to increase, which can easily cause the electrode terminals to fall off from the end caps, affecting the use of the battery cells.
[0050] In order to reduce the risk of electrode terminals falling off and improve the reliability of battery cells, some embodiments of the present application provide an end cap assembly for a battery cell, wherein the end cap assembly includes an end cap, an electrode terminal, and a fixing member. The main body of the electrode terminal covers at least a portion of the electrode lead-out hole of the end cap in the thickness direction of the end cap, and a limiting portion is protruded from the outer peripheral surface of the main body. The fixing member is connected to the side of the end cap facing away from the electrode assembly, and at least a portion of the limiting portion is disposed in a recess provided on the side of the fixing member facing the end cap. In the above structure, since the fixing member is connected to the end cap, and at least a portion of the limiting portion of the electrode terminal is disposed in the recess of the fixing member, the electrode terminal and the fixing member are hooked and connected together, and the electrode terminal is not easily detached from the end cap, so that the battery cell has good reliability.
[0051] The end cap assembly of the battery cell described in the embodiments of this application is applicable to battery cells, batteries, and electrical devices using the batteries. [0056] Please refer to Figure 2, which is an exploded view of the battery 100 provided in some embodiments of the present application. The battery 100 includes a housing 10 and a battery cell 20, and the battery cell 20 is accommodated in the housing 10. Among them, the housing 10 is used to provide a storage space for the battery cell 20. There can be multiple battery cells 20 in the battery 100, and the multiple battery cells 20 can be connected in series, in parallel, or mixed. Mixed means that the multiple battery cells 20 are both connected in series and in parallel. The multiple battery cells 20 can be directly connected in series, in parallel, or mixed together, and then the whole formed by the multiple battery cells 20 is accommodated in the housing 10; of course, the battery 100 can also be a battery module formed by first connecting multiple battery cells 20 in series, in parallel, or mixed, and then the multiple battery modules are connected in series, in parallel, or mixed to form a whole, and accommodated in the housing 10.
[0057] The housing 10 may include a first housing 101 and a second housing 102. The first housing 101 and the second housing 102 cover each other to define a storage space for accommodating the battery cells 20. The first housing 101 and the second housing 102 may have various shapes, such as a rectangular parallelepiped, a cylinder, etc. The first housing 101 may be a hollow structure with one side open, and the second housing 102 may also be a hollow structure with one side open. The open side of the second housing 102 covers the open side of the first housing 101, thereby forming the housing 10 with a storage space.
[0058] The battery 100 may further include other structures. For example, the battery 100 may further include a busbar component for achieving electrical connection between the plurality of battery cells 20 .
[0059] Each battery cell 20 may be a secondary battery or a primary battery, and may also be a lithium-sulfur battery, a sodium-ion battery, or a magnesium-ion battery, but is not limited thereto. The battery cell 20 may be cylindrical, flat, rectangular, or in other shapes.
[0060] In some embodiments of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , a battery cell 20 includes a housing 202 and an electrode assembly 201, with the electrode assembly 201 housed within the housing 202. The housing 202 may be a wall structure disposed on the periphery of the battery cell 20, which may form a cavity 203 for accommodating the electrode assembly 201 and other components of the battery cell 20, as well as an electrolyte. The electrode assembly 201, as a component housed within the housing 202, is in contact with the electrolyte, allowing active ions (e.g., lithium ions) to be conducted between the electrode assembly 201 and the electrolyte.
[0061] The housing 202 includes an end cover assembly 1 and a shell 2 . The shell 2 has an opening, and the end cover 11 covers the opening.
[0062] Some embodiments of the present application provide an end cap assembly 1 of a battery cell 20, as shown in Figure 4, the end cap assembly 1 includes an end cap 11, an electrode terminal 12 and a fixing member 13, the end cap 11 is provided with an electrode lead-out hole 111, the electrode terminal 12 is arranged on the end cap 11, the electrode terminal 12 includes a main body 121 and a limiting portion 122 protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the main body 121, the main body 121 covers at least part of the electrode lead-out hole 111 in the thickness direction of the end cap 11, the limiting portion 122 is located on the side of the end cap 11 away from the electrode assembly 201 of the battery cell 20, the fixing member 13 is arranged on the side of the end cap 11 away from the electrode assembly 201 and is connected to the end cap 11, the side of the fixing member 13 facing the end cap 11 is provided with a recess 1321, and at least part of the limiting portion 122 is arranged in the recess 1321.
[0063] The end cap 11 may be a component of the end cap assembly 1 used to cover the opening of the housing 2. Together with the housing 2, the end cap 11 forms a cavity 203 for accommodating components such as the electrode assembly 201 and the electrolyte. For example, the end cap 11 may be connected to the opening of the housing 2 by welding, so that the materials of the end cap 11 and the housing 2 are fused together, which helps to improve the sealing of the battery cell 20.
[0064] The electrode lead-out hole 111 can be a through-hole structure opened on the end cap 11, which is used to install the electrode terminal 12. The electrode lead-out hole 111 can communicate with the cavity 203 inside the battery cell 20, so that the electrode terminal 12 can be electrically connected to the electrode assembly 201 in the cavity 203. For example, the electrode lead-out hole 111 can be formed by a machining process such as milling or drilling, or can be formed simultaneously with the end cap 11 through an integral molding process such as stamping.
[0065] The electrode terminal 12, as a component provided on the end cap 11, can be used to electrically connect to an external power device or charging device of the battery cell 20 to facilitate charging and discharging of the battery cell 20. The electrode terminal 12 may include, but is not limited to, a columnar structure, and those skilled in the art may configure it according to actual circumstances.
[0066] The main body 121 may be the main structure of the electrode terminal 12. By covering at least a portion of the electrode lead-out hole 111 in the thickness direction of the end cap 11, it facilitates electrical connection between the electrode assembly 201 in the cavity 203 and the electrode terminal 12 via an electrical connector. The stopper 122 may be a structure protruding from the main body 121. By protruding from the outer circumferential surface of the main body 121 and being located on the side of the end cap 11 facing away from the electrode assembly 201, it prevents the electrode terminal 12 from falling into the cavity 203.
[0067] The fixing member 13 may be a component for fixing the electrode terminal 12, connecting the electrode terminal 12 to the end cap 11, thereby reducing the possibility of the electrode terminal 12 falling off the end cap 11. The fixing member 13 is disposed on the side of the end cap 11 facing away from the electrode assembly 201 and connected to the end cap 11. By providing a recess 1321 on the side of the fixing member 13 facing the end cap 11, at least a portion of the limiting portion 122 is disposed within the recess 1321, so that the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13 are hooked and connected together, the connection between the electrode terminal 12 and the fixing member 13 is firm and not easily disengaged, thereby preventing the electrode terminal 12 from falling off the end cap 11, thereby helping to improve the reliability of the battery cell 20.
[0068] In the above structure, since the fixing member 13 is connected to the end cover 11, and at least a portion of the limiting portion 122 of the electrode terminal 12 is disposed in the recess 1321 of the fixing member 13, the electrode terminal 12 and the fixing member 13 are hooked and connected together, so that the connection between the electrode terminal 12 and the fixing member 13 is firm and not easy to disengage, and the electrode terminal 12 is not easy to fall off from the end cover 11, so that the battery cell 20 has good reliability.
[0069] In some embodiments, the end cap assembly 1 further includes an insulating member 14 , which is connected to the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13 and insulates the limiting portion 122 from the fixing member 13 .
[0070] The insulating member 14 may be a component for insulating the limiting portion 122 from the fixing member 13. The insulating member 14 fills the recess 1321 and is connected between the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13. It can apply a force to the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13, thereby improving the firmness of the limiting portion 122 in the recess 1321 and ensuring a secure connection between the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13. It also insulates the limiting portion 122 from the end cap 11, rendering the end cap 11 electrically neutral.
[0071] In some embodiments, the insulating member 14 can be formed by solidifying a plastic material, which is in a fluid state at a certain temperature, so that the plastic material can be easily filled between the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13. After the plastic material is solidified into the insulating member 14, the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13 are connected, and the limiting portion 122 and the fixing member 13 are insulated and isolated.
[0072] For example, the insulating member 14 may be covered by the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132 , so that more material is used for the insulating member 14 , which is beneficial to improving the overall structural strength of the insulating member 14 .
[0073] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 5 , the fixing member 13 includes a connecting portion 131 and a blocking portion 132 connected to each other. The connecting portion 131 is connected to the end cover 11 , and the blocking portion 132 is located outside the limiting portion 122 away from the end cover 11 and forms a recess 1321 .
[0074] The connecting portion 131 and the blocking portion 132 are two parts connected to each other on the fixing member 13. The connecting portion 131 is used to connect to the end cover 11, and the blocking portion 132 extends toward the outer side of the limiting portion 122 away from the end cover 11 and forms a recess 1321, which is used to block the limiting portion 122 from moving away from the end cover 11.
[0075] For example, the connection portion 131 can be connected to the side of the end cover 11 away from the electrode assembly 201 by welding, so that the connection between the connection portion 131 and the end cover 11 is firm, and the fixing member 13 can provide a large force to prevent the electrode terminal 12 from falling off.
[0076] In some embodiments, the surface roughness of the limiting portion 122 is greater than that of the main body 121 , the surface roughness of the blocking portion 132 is greater than that of the connecting portion 131 , and the insulating member 14 is connected to the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 .
[0077] By setting the roughness of the surface of the limiting portion 122 to be greater than the roughness of the surface of the main body 121, and setting the roughness of the surface of the blocking portion 132 to be greater than the roughness of the surface of the connecting portion 131, after the insulating material is filled between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122, the effect on the surface of the blocking portion 132 and the surface of the limiting portion 122 is stronger, which is beneficial to improving the connection strength between the insulating part 14 and the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122.
[0078] In some embodiments, the minimum thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 is 0.5 mm.
[0079] The minimum thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 is 0.5 mm, which may mean that the thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm. By setting the thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 to be greater than or equal to 0.5 mm, the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 has good insulation performance. Exemplarily, the thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 can be set to 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, or 1.2 mm. In some embodiments, the thickness of the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 can also be set to other values so that the insulating member 14 between the blocking portion 132 and the limiting portion 122 meets the insulation performance requirements.
[0080] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6 , the blocking portion 132 is bent to form a recessed portion 1321 , and the limiting portion 122 is bent toward the recessed portion 1321 and extends into the recessed portion 1321 .
[0081] By bending the blocking portion 132, the recess 1321 is formed on the blocking portion 132 of the fixing member 13, making it easier to form the recess 1321. The limiting portion 122 is bent toward the recess 1321 by bending the edge of the limiting portion 122 away from the main body 121 toward the recess 1321 and extending into the recess 1321. This allows the limiting portion 122 to be easily processed and hooked to the blocking portion 132.
[0082] In some embodiments, the bending angle range of the limiting portion 122 relative to the end cover 11 is set to be 15° to 75°.
[0083] By setting the bending angle range of the limiting portion 122 relative to the end cover 11 to 15° to 75°, the hook connection between the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132 is stable, and the limiting portion 122 is not easy to fall out of the recess 1321, thereby improving the reliability of the hook connection between the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132.
[0084] For example, the angle at which the limiting portion 122 is bent relative to the end cap 11 can be set to 30°, 45°, or 60°, so that the locking of the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132 is stable and the limiting portion 122 is not easily dislodged from the recess 1321. In some embodiments, the angle at which the limiting portion 122 is bent relative to the end cap 11 can also be set to other values to ensure stable locking of the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132.
[0085] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 7 , the limiting portion 122 is formed with a convex portion 1221 convex toward the blocking portion 132 , and at least a portion of the convex portion 1221 extends into the concave portion 1321 .
[0086] In addition to being formed by bending, recessed portion 1321 can also be a recessed structure provided on the surface of blocking portion 132 facing stopper 122, which is used to accommodate at least a portion of stopper 122. For example, recessed portion 1321 can be formed by machining the surface of blocking portion 132 facing stopper 122, such as milling, to remove material. Protruding portion 1221 can be a raised structure on the surface of stopper 122 facing stopper 132. By allowing at least a portion of protruding portion 1221 to extend into recessed portion 1321, stopper 122 and stopper 132 can be connected by hook.
[0087] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6 , a rounded corner 1222 is formed on an edge of the limiting portion 122 away from the main body 121 .
[0088] By providing a rounded corner 1222 at the edge of the limiting portion 122 away from the main body 121 , the edge of the limiting portion 122 away from the main body 121 is less likely to cause damage to the insulating member 14 , which is beneficial to improving the life of the insulating member 14 .
[0089] In some embodiments, the end cap assembly 1 further includes an insulating layer 15 , the end cap 11 includes a first surface and a second surface spaced apart in its thickness direction, the connecting portion 131 is connected to the first surface, and the insulating layer 15 is disposed on the second surface.
[0090] The first surface and the second surface are two side surfaces of the end cover 11 that are relatively spaced apart in the thickness direction thereof, with the material forming the end cover 11 being located between the two. The first surface is the side facing away from the electrode assembly 201, and the second surface is the side facing the electrode assembly 201.
[0091] The insulating layer 15 is an insulating structural layer in the end cap assembly 1 , which is used to insulate and isolate the end cap 11 from components such as the electrode assembly 201 inside the battery cell 20 , thereby reducing the possibility of leakage of the end cap 11 .
[0092] For example, the insulating layer 15 can be formed of a plastic material, which provides excellent insulation and corrosion resistance. In some embodiments, the insulating layer 15 can be formed by curing the plastic material. When the plastic material is in a fluid state at a certain temperature, the plastic material can be easily applied to the second surface and fill the gap between the electrode terminal 12 and the inner wall of the electrode lead-out hole 111, thereby reducing the outflow of electrolyte from the cavity 203 of the battery cell 20.
[0093] In some embodiments, the end cover assembly 1 further includes a seal 16 , which is sandwiched between the limiting portion 122 and the end cover 11 .
[0094] The seal 16 can be a rubber sealing ring with good elasticity. When the seal 16 is clamped between the main body 121 and the end cover 11, the seal 16 will elastically deform and seal against the main body 121 and the end cover 11, making it difficult for the electrolyte in the cavity 203 of the battery cell 20 to flow out.
[0095] For example, the seal 16 is provided with a positioning structure 161, which is inserted into the electrode lead-out hole 111. The positioning structure 161 can be a structure for positioning the seal 16. When installing the seal 16, the positioning structure 161 can be first inserted into the electrode lead-out hole 111 to position the seal 16, and then the seal 16 can be clamped between the limit portion 122 and the end cap 11, making operation convenient.

[0097] Some embodiments of the present application further provide a battery 100 , which includes the battery cell 20 provided by the above technical solution.
[0098] Some embodiments of the present application further provide an electrical device, which includes the battery 100 provided by the above technical solution, and the battery 100 is used to provide electrical energy.
[0099] Some embodiments of the present application provide an end cap assembly 1, as shown in Figure 6, the end cap assembly 1 includes an end cap 11, an electrode terminal 12, a fixing member 13 and an insulating member 14, the electrode terminal 12 includes a main body 121 and a limiting portion 122 protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the main body 121, the fixing member 13 includes a connecting portion 131 and a blocking portion 132 connected to each other, the main body 121 covers at least a portion of the electrode lead-out hole 111 in the end cap 11 in the thickness direction of the end cap 11, the connecting portion 131 is connected to the side of the end cap 11 away from the electrode assembly 201, the blocking portion 132 is bent to form a recessed portion 1321, the limiting portion 122 is located between the end cap 11 and the blocking portion 132, and the edge of the limiting portion 122 away from the main body 121 is bent toward the recessed portion 1321 and extends into the recessed portion 1321, the insulating member 14 is connected between the limiting portion 122 and the blocking portion 132 and insulates the limiting portion 122 from the blocking portion 132. The roughness of the surface of the limiting portion 122 is greater than that of the main body 121 , and the roughness of the surface of the blocking portion 132 is greater than that of the connecting portion 131 .
