Abstract
Description
Information processing device, information processing method, and program
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program.
[0002] Kindergarten children travel to kindergartens by bus or other vehicle. Therefore, there is a need for a technology that can prevent children from being left behind while traveling to kindergarten. For example, Patent Literature 1 discloses a system that can monitor a person to be supervised, such as a child, riding in a vehicle. In this system, a facial recognition camera is installed around the entrance and exit of the vehicle to capture an image of the person to be supervised, and facial recognition using an image acquired from the facial recognition camera is used to determine whether the person to be supervised has entered or exited the vehicle.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2022-69033
[0004] The technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 can determine whether a child is getting on or off a vehicle. However, a child who gets on a vehicle may not necessarily enter the nursery school, for example, if the child gets lost on the way to the nursery school. Since the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 does not know whether a child who gets on a vehicle has entered the nursery school, it is difficult to prevent children from being left behind on the way to the nursery school.
[0005] In consideration of such problems, the present disclosure aims to provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that can prevent children from being left behind while on their way to kindergarten.
[0006] The information processing device disclosed herein comprises a first identification means for identifying, by facial recognition, a child who is riding in a vehicle bound for a nursery school; a second identification means for identifying, by facial recognition, a child who has entered the nursery school; and a determination means for determining whether or not the child who is riding in the vehicle has entered the nursery school by comparing the identification result of the child who is riding in the vehicle with the identification result of the child who has entered the nursery school.
[0007] In the information processing method disclosed herein, a computer uses facial recognition to identify children who have boarded a vehicle bound for a nursery school, uses facial recognition to identify children who have entered the nursery school, and compares the identification results of the children who have boarded the vehicle with the identification results of the children who have entered the nursery school to determine whether the children who have boarded the vehicle have entered the nursery school.
[0008] The program disclosed herein causes a computer to execute a process of identifying, by facial recognition, children who have boarded a vehicle bound for a nursery school, identifying children who have entered the nursery school, and determining whether or not the children who have boarded the vehicle have entered the nursery school by comparing the identification results of the children who have boarded the vehicle with the identification results of the children who have entered the nursery school.
[0009] The present disclosure makes it possible to provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that can prevent children from being left behind while on their way to kindergarten.

[0011] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In each drawing, the same or corresponding elements are designated by the same reference numerals, and for clarity of explanation, duplicate explanations will be omitted as necessary.
[0012] First Embodiment First, the configuration of an information processing device 100 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the information processing device 100 according to the present disclosure.
[0013] As shown in Fig. 1, the information processing device 100 includes a first identification unit 101, a second identification unit 102, and a determination unit 103. The first identification unit 101 identifies, by facial recognition, a child who is riding in a vehicle bound for a nursery school. The second identification unit 102 identifies, by facial recognition, a child who has entered the nursery school. The determination unit 103 compares the identification result of the child who is riding in the vehicle with the identification result of the child who has entered the nursery school to determine whether the child who is riding in the vehicle has entered the nursery school.
[0014] The information processing device 100 according to the first embodiment can detect whether a child in a vehicle has entered the nursery school, and can therefore prevent a child from being left behind on the way to the nursery school.
[0015] Second Embodiment Next, the configuration of an information processing system 2 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram showing an example of the configuration of the information processing system 2 according to this embodiment. Fig. 3 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the information processing system 2 according to this embodiment. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the information processing system 2 includes an information processing device 10, a first authentication device 20, a second authentication device 30, a leader terminal 40, and a parent terminal 50.
[0016] The information processing system 2 is used when one or more children go to the nursery school. In the information processing system 2, the children are led to the nursery school by a chaperone, such as a teacher. The children also go to the nursery school in a vehicle such as a bus. The vehicle departs from the nursery school with the chaperone on board to pick up the children. The vehicle then stops at one or more stops as passing points, such as the children's homes or gathering places. After the vehicle stops, the chaperone gets off the vehicle and leads each child into the vehicle. Each child gets into the vehicle accompanied by the chaperone. The vehicle then departs for another stop or for the nursery school, which is the destination. If the vehicle departs for another stop, after the vehicle stops at another stop, the chaperone gets off the vehicle and leads each child into the vehicle. Each child then gets into the vehicle accompanied by the chaperone. On the other hand, if the vehicle departs for the kindergarten, after the vehicle stops near the kindergarten as the final destination, the chaperone and each child get off the vehicle. Then, each child enters the kindergarten accompanied by the chaperone.
[0017] The information processing device 10 is, for example, a server. The information processing device 10 communicates with a first authentication device 20, a second authentication device 30, a leader terminal 40, and a parent terminal 50. The information processing device 10 includes a registration unit 11, a first identification unit 12, a second identification unit 13, a determination unit 14, a notification unit 15, and a storage unit 16.
[0018] The information processing device 10 is a specific embodiment of the information processing device 100 according to the first embodiment. The first identification unit 12, the second identification unit 13, and the determination unit 14 correspond to the first identification unit 101, the second identification unit 102, and the determination unit 103 of the information processing device 100 according to the first embodiment, respectively.
[0019] The registration unit 11 links information about the children (hereinafter referred to as child information), information about the chaperones who escort the children (hereinafter referred to as chaperone information), information about the children's guardians (hereinafter referred to as guardian information), and information about the kindergarten to which the children belong (hereinafter referred to as kindergarten information) and registers them in the storage unit 16. For example, the registration unit 11 registers each piece of information in the storage unit 16 according to information input from a registration terminal (not shown) such as a smartphone. The child information includes identification information and facial information about the children. The facial information is information that indicates facial features. The chaperone information includes identification information about the chaperone, facial information about the chaperone, and terminal information about the chaperone terminal 40. The terminal information is information for identifying the terminal, such as an address. When there are multiple children in a chaperone's care, the chaperone information is linked to the child information of the multiple children. The guardian information includes identification information about the guardian and terminal information about the guardian terminal 50. If the guardian has multiple children under their care, the guardian information is linked to the child information of the multiple children. The nursery information includes the nursery's identification information and the terminal information of the nursery terminal 60. The identification information may be face information.
[0020] The first identification unit 12 identifies the chaperone and the children aboard the vehicle through facial recognition. Specifically, the first identification unit 12 acquires a photographed image of the chaperone in the boarding area from the photographing unit 21 of the first authentication device 20. The first identification unit 12 extracts facial information of the chaperone from the photographed image and identifies the chaperone through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the chaperone and the facial information of the chaperone stored in the memory unit 16. A deep learning model such as a convolutional neural network (CNN) model is used for the facial recognition. After identifying the chaperone, the first identification unit 12 begins facial recognition of each child being led by the chaperone. The first identification unit 12 acquires a photographed image of the children in the boarding area from the photographing unit 21. The first identification unit 12 extracts the children from the photographed image and identifies the children through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the children and the facial information of the children stored in the memory unit 16. Here, the first identification unit 12 may also determine whether the extracted facial information of the kindergartener is linked to the facial information of the identified chaperone, and if so, may determine that the kindergartener has been identified.
[0021] The second identification unit 13 identifies the chaperones and children who enter the nursery school through facial recognition. Specifically, the second identification unit 13 acquires photographed images of the chaperones and children passing through the entrance area from the photographing unit 31 of the second authentication device 30. The second identification unit 13 extracts facial information of the chaperone from the photographed images and identifies the chaperone through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the chaperone and the facial information of the chaperone stored in the memory unit 16. The second identification unit 13 also extracts children from the photographed images and identifies the children through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the children and the facial information of the children stored in the memory unit 16. The second identification unit 13 may track the chaperones and children as they pass through the entrance area and perform facial recognition once their faces have been identified. Here, when the second identification unit 13 identifies the chaperone who entered the nursery school by facial recognition, the second identification unit 13 may also identify the children who entered the nursery school within a predetermined time before and after the timing when the chaperone who entered the nursery school was identified by facial recognition. The second identification unit 13 may also determine whether the extracted facial information of the children is linked to the facial information of the identified chaperone, and if linked, may determine that the children have been identified.
[0022] The determination unit 14 compares the identification result of the child who got on the vehicle with the identification result of the child who entered the nursery school. Based on the comparison result, the determination unit 14 determines whether the child who got on the vehicle entered the nursery school.
[0023] The notification unit 15 sends a notification according to the determination result of whether the target child who got on the vehicle has entered the nursery school to at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the target child, the parent terminal 50 used by the parent of the target child, and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs. Specifically, when it is determined that the child who got on the vehicle has entered the nursery school, the notification unit 15 sends a notification indicating that the target child has entered the nursery school to at least one of the parent terminal 50 used by the parent of the target child and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs. When it is determined that the child who got on the vehicle has not entered the nursery school, the notification unit 15 sends a notification to the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the target child to issue a warning.
[0024] The determination unit 14 may further determine whether a child who rode in a vehicle within a predetermined time before and after the chaperone entered the nursery school has entered the nursery school. The notification unit 15 provides a notification according to the determination result of whether a target child who rode in a vehicle within a predetermined time before and after the chaperone entered the nursery school to at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the target child, the parent terminal 50 used by the parent of the target child, and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs. Specifically, when it is determined that a child who rode in a vehicle within a predetermined time before and after the chaperone entered the nursery school, the notification unit 15 provides a notification indicating that the target child has entered the nursery school to at least one of the parent terminal 50 used by the parent of the target child and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs. On the other hand, when it is determined that the target child who rode in the vehicle within a predetermined time before and after the chaperone entered the nursery school has not entered the nursery school, the notification unit 15 issues a notification to at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the target child and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs, to prompt a warning. Note that when it is determined that the target child who rode in the vehicle within a predetermined time before and after the chaperone entered the nursery school, the notification unit 15 may notify at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the target child and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the target child belongs of the time elapsed since the chaperone entered the nursery school. For example, the notification unit 15 may notify at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 and the nursery school terminal 60 that several minutes have passed since the chaperone entered the nursery school, but the target child who rode in the vehicle has not entered the nursery school.
[0025] The first authentication device 20 is, for example, a terminal device, and is a device that performs biometric authentication of a target. The first authentication device 20 is installed in an area where it is determined that a target has entered a vehicle (hereinafter referred to as the boarding area), such as the entrance to the vehicle, an aisle or a seat inside the vehicle. The first authentication device 20 includes an imaging unit 21. The imaging unit 21 is, for example, a camera, and captures an image of an area including the boarding area. The imaging unit 21 captures an image of the chaperones and children in the boarding area, i.e., the chaperones and children getting into the vehicle, and transmits the captured image to the information processing device 10 via a network.
[0026] The first authentication device 20 may have the function of the first identification unit 12 and may perform face authentication processing. The photographing unit 21 of the first authentication device 20 may be realized as an imaging device that is a device different from the first authentication device 20, as long as it is installed to photograph an area including the boarding area. For example, the photographing unit 21 is a camera dedicated to authentication or a surveillance camera installed inside or outside the vehicle. A plurality of such imaging devices may also be installed. The first authentication device 20 may also include an output unit, such as a display, that receives the target face authentication result from the information processing device 10 and outputs the received authentication result by voice or display.
[0027] The second authentication device 30 is, for example, a gateless authentication device, which is a device that performs biometric authentication of a target without a gate. The second authentication device 30 is installed in an area where it is determined that a target has entered the target nursery school (hereinafter referred to as the entrance area), such as the entrance to the nursery school. The second authentication device 30 includes a photographing unit 31. The photographing unit 31 is, for example, a camera, and photographs an area including the entrance area. The photographing unit 31 photographs the chaperones and children passing through the entrance area, i.e., the chaperones and children who have entered the nursery school, and transmits the photographed images to the information processing device 10 via a network.
[0028] The second authentication device 30 may have the function of the second identification unit 13 and may perform facial authentication processing. The photographing unit 31 of the second authentication device 30 may be realized as an imaging device that is a device different from the second authentication device 30, as long as it is installed to photograph an area including the entrance area. For example, the photographing unit 31 is a camera or surveillance camera dedicated to authentication that is installed in the park. A plurality of such imaging devices may also be installed. The second authentication device 30 may also include an output unit, such as a display, that receives the target facial authentication result from the information processing device 10 and outputs the received authentication result by voice or display.
[0029] The chaperone terminal 40 is a terminal such as a smartphone or a PC (Personal Computer) that is used by a chaperone leading the children. When the chaperone terminal 40 receives a notification from the information processing device 10, it outputs the received notification by voice or display.
[0030] The parent terminal 50 is a terminal such as a smartphone or a PC used by a parent of a child. When the parent terminal 50 receives a notification from the information processing device 10, the parent terminal 50 outputs the received notification by voice or display.
[0031] The nursery terminal 60 is a terminal such as a smartphone or a PC, and is used by the nursery school to which the child belongs. When the nursery terminal 60 receives a notification from the information processing device 10, it outputs the received notification by voice or display.
[0032] Next, the operation of the information processing system 2 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
[0033] 4 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation of the information processing device 10 of the information processing system 2 of this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 4, first, in step S101, the registration unit 11 of the information processing device 10 links information about the children (child information), information about the chaperones who escort the children (chaperone information), information about the children's guardians (guardian information), and information about the kindergarten to which the children belong (school information) and registers the linked information in the storage unit 16. For example, the registration unit 11 registers each piece of information in the storage unit 16 according to information input from a registration terminal (not shown) such as a smartphone.
[0034] After step S101, the vehicle carrying the parent / guardian departs the nursery school to pick up one or more children. The vehicle then stops at each bus stop. After the vehicle stops, the parent / guardian gets off the vehicle and leads each child into the vehicle. Each child is led by the parent / guardian into the vehicle.
[0035] Next, in step S102, the first identification unit 12 identifies the chaperone and the children aboard the vehicle through facial recognition (first identification).
[0036] After step S102, the vehicle departs for another bus stop or departs for the destination, the kindergarten. If the vehicle departs for another bus stop, the process returns to step S102 after the vehicle stops at the other bus stop. On the other hand, if the vehicle departs for the kindergarten, the chaperone and each child enter the kindergarten after the vehicle stops at the kindergarten. Then, the process proceeds to step S103.
[0037] Next, in step S103, the second identification unit 13 identifies the chaperone and the children who have entered the nursery school through facial recognition (second identification). Specifically, the second identification unit 13 acquires a photographed image of the chaperone and the children passing through the entrance area from the photographing unit 31 of the second authentication device 30. The second identification unit 13 extracts facial information of the chaperone from the photographed image and identifies the chaperone through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the chaperone and the facial information of the chaperone stored in the memory unit 16. The second identification unit 13 also extracts children from the photographed image and identifies the children through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the children and the facial information of the children stored in the memory unit 16. Here, if the second identification unit 13 has identified the chaperone who has entered the nursery school through facial recognition, it may also identify children who have entered the nursery school within a predetermined time period before and after the timing at which the chaperone who entered the nursery school was identified through facial recognition. The second identification unit 13 may also determine whether the extracted facial information of the child is linked to the facial information of the identified chaperone, and if so, may determine that the child has been identified.
[0038] Next, in step S104, the determination unit 14 compares the identification result of the children who got on the vehicle (first identification result) with the identification result of the children who entered the nursery school (second identification result).
[0039] Next, if there are multiple children in the vehicle, the processes of steps S105 to S109 are executed for each child. In step S105, the determination unit 14 determines whether or not the child in the vehicle (the target child) has entered the nursery school based on the collation result. If it is determined that the target child in the vehicle has entered the nursery school (YES in step S105), the process proceeds to step S106. On the other hand, if it is determined that the target child in the vehicle has not entered the nursery school (NO in step S105), the process proceeds to step S109.
[0040] In step S106, the determination unit 14 determines whether the target child entered the nursery school within a predetermined time before or after the chaperone entered the nursery school. The predetermined time before or after is, for example, within 10 minutes before or after. If it is determined that the target child entered the nursery school within the predetermined time before or after the chaperone entered the nursery school (YES in step S106), the process proceeds to step S107. On the other hand, if it is determined that the target child did not enter the nursery school within the predetermined time before or after the chaperone entered the nursery school (NO in step S106), the process proceeds to step S109.
[0041] The information processing device 10 does not need to execute the process of step S106. In this case, if it is determined in step S105 that the target child who got into the vehicle has entered the nursery school (YES in step S105), the process proceeds to step S107. On the other hand, if it is determined that the target child has not entered the nursery school within a predetermined time before or after the chaperone entered the nursery school (NO in step S106), the process proceeds to step S109.
[0042] In step S107, the notification unit 15 sends a kindergarten attendance completion notification to the parent / guardian terminal 50 of the parent of the target kindergartener. The kindergarten attendance completion notification is a notification indicating that the target kindergartener has completed attending the kindergarten. Next, in step S108, the notification unit 15 sends an attendance notification to the kindergarten terminal 60 of the kindergarten to which the target kindergartener belongs. The attendance notification is a notification indicating that the target kindergartener will be attending the kindergarten. Furthermore, in step S109, the notification unit 15 sends an alarm to at least one of the parent / guardian terminal 40 of the parent / guardian of the target kindergartener and the kindergarten terminal 60 of the kindergarten to which the target kindergartener belongs.
[0043] As described above, the information processing system 2 according to the first embodiment can determine whether a child riding in a vehicle has entered the nursery school, thereby preventing children from being left behind while walking to the nursery school. Furthermore, if the information processing system 2 determines that a child riding in a vehicle has not entered the nursery school, it sends an alarm to the chaperone terminal 40 of the child's chaperone. The information processing system 2 prevents children from being left behind while walking to the nursery school, allowing the chaperone to quickly respond if a child is left behind while walking to the nursery school. Furthermore, if the information processing system 2 determines that a child riding in a vehicle has not entered the nursery school, it also sends the alarm sent to the chaperone terminal 40 of the child's chaperone to the nursery school terminal 60 of the nursery school to which the child belongs. Therefore, since the chaperone may not notice the warning, the information processing system 2 also alerts the nursery school, thereby notifying a larger number of people. By doing so, the information processing system 2 can reduce the risk of children being left behind.
[0044] Furthermore, when the information processing system 2 determines that the target child who got on the vehicle has entered the nursery school, it transmits a notification that the child has arrived at the nursery school to the parent / guardian terminal 50 of the parent / guardian of the target child. The information processing system 2 notifies the parent / guardian that the child has arrived at the nursery school, giving the parent / guardian a sense of security. Furthermore, when the information processing system 2 determines that the target child who got on the vehicle has entered the nursery school, it transmits an attendance notification to the nursery school terminal 60 of the nursery school to which the target child belongs. The information processing system 2 can inform the nursery school of the child who will be attending.
[0045] Furthermore, the information processing system 2 performs gateless authentication of chaperones or children at the entrance to the nursery school. Children often enter the nursery school holding hands with their chaperones. While a gate requires chaperones or children to line up in a single line, a gateless system eliminates the need to line up. Therefore, by employing gateless authentication, the information processing system 2 can prevent congestion at the entrance to the nursery school.
[0046] Third Embodiment Next, the configuration of an information processing system 3 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. The information processing system 3 aims to prevent children from leaving the nursery school and exposing themselves to danger after entering the nursery school. FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the information processing system 3 according to this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 5, the information processing system 3 includes a first authentication device 20, a second authentication device 30, a chaperone terminal 40, and a parent terminal 50, similar to the information processing system 2 according to the second embodiment. The information processing system 3 also includes an information processing device 70 and a third authentication device 80. The information processing device 70 is configured by adding the configuration of a third identification unit 17 to the configuration of the information processing device 10 according to the second embodiment.
[0047] The third identification unit 17 identifies the chaperones and children who have left the nursery school through facial recognition. Specifically, the third identification unit 17 acquires photographed images of the chaperones and children passing through the exit area from the photographing unit 81 of the third authentication device 80. The third identification unit 17 extracts facial information of the chaperone from the photographed images and identifies the chaperone through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the chaperone and the facial information of the chaperone stored in the memory unit 16. The third identification unit 17 also extracts children from the photographed images and identifies the children through facial recognition using the extracted facial information of the children and the facial information of the children stored in the memory unit 16.
[0048] When a child who has left the nursery school is identified, the notification unit 15 notifies at least one of the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the identified child, the parent terminal 50 used by the parent of the child, and the nursery school terminal 60 used by the nursery school to which the child belongs. Specifically, the notification unit 15 notifies the chaperone terminal 40 used by the chaperone of the child to issue a warning such as an alarm.
[0049] The third authentication device 80 is, for example, a gateless authentication device, which performs biometric authentication of a target without a gate. The second authentication device 30 is installed in an area where it is determined that a target has left the nursery school (hereinafter referred to as the exit area), such as an exit of the nursery school. The third authentication device 80 includes a photographing unit 81. The photographing unit 31 is, for example, a camera, and photographs an area including the exit area. The photographing unit 81 photographs the chaperones and children passing through the exit area, i.e., the chaperones and children who have left the nursery school, and transmits the photographed images to the information processing device 70 via a network.
[0050] The third authentication device 80 may have the function of the third identification unit 17 and may perform face authentication processing. The photographing unit 81 of the third authentication device 80 may be realized as an imaging device that is a device different from the third authentication device 80, as long as it is installed to photograph an area including the exit area. For example, the photographing unit 81 is a camera or surveillance camera dedicated to authentication that is installed in the park. A plurality of such imaging devices may also be installed. The third authentication device 80 may also include an output unit, such as a display, that receives the target face authentication result from the information processing device 10 and outputs the received authentication result by voice or display.
[0051] As described above, in the information processing system 3, when a child who has left the nursery is identified, a notification is sent to the chaperone or other person to issue a warning such as an alarm, thereby preventing the child from going outside the nursery and being exposed to danger after entering the nursery.
[0052] <Hardware configuration> The configuration of each device such as the information processing device 100 in the above-described embodiment, the information processing device 10 in the information processing system 2, and the information processing device 70 in the information processing system 3 is configured by hardware or software, or both, and may be configured by one piece of hardware or software, or may be configured by multiple pieces of hardware or software.
