AI Technical Summary
In workplaces such as gravel fields and mines, different vehicle driving routes lead to uneven heat and wear of tires, resulting in early damage or accidental failure of tires. The prior art fails to fully consider tire heat issues when choosing driving routes, resulting in uneven tire life.
By obtaining tire heat information, route information and multiple parameter information, estimate the heat changes of tires on different routes, providing optimized driving routes and conditions to reduce tire heat fluctuations and wear.
Effectively extend tire life, reduce the risk of tire failure, and improve the operational efficiency and safety of vehicles in the workplace.

Abstract
Description
Information processing device, information processing method, and information processing program
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and an information processing program.
[0002] There is known a technique for determining a travel path of a mobile object equipped with tires and loaded with goods. For example, a technique for determining a travel path of a mobile object based on the topography, the amount of goods, the travel distance of the mobile object, etc. has been proposed (see, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 2019-160093).
[0003] At work sites such as quarrying sites and mines, road conditions, such as elevation changes, the number and curvature of curves, the load capacity of transported goods, and unevenness, vary greatly depending on the driving route. This means that the load on tires varies depending on the route, resulting in different heat generated in tires and different tire deterioration. For this reason, tires mounted on vehicles that frequently travel routes with heavy loads tend to deteriorate or break down early, while tires mounted on vehicles that frequently travel routes with lighter loads tend to be usable for longer periods. Tire life is therefore not uniform. In such usage environments, unexpected tire failures and shortened tire life may occur, posing challenges for tire utilization. To address this issue, a method of selecting a driving route that takes tire load into consideration has been proposed. However, simply determining a vehicle's route based on the terrain, the vehicle's travel distance, etc., as described in Patent Document 1, may result in the determined route generating more heat in the tires than other routes and causing more rapid tire deterioration, and may not be the optimal route for the vehicle. Therefore, there is room for improvement in vehicle operation support for the travel of vehicles equipped with tires. Furthermore, for example, when controlling a vehicle using an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS), it is necessary to take into consideration the heat generated in the tires.
[0004] The technology disclosed herein includes an acquisition unit that acquires tire heat information including the temperature of tires attached to a moving body, route information indicating at least one of a plurality of routes along which the moving body will travel from a first point to a second point different from the first point, and a plurality of parameter information including pre-designated parameter information related to the traveling of the moving body; and an estimation unit that estimates the tire heat information, the route information indicating the at least one route, and tire heat state information indicating the thermal state of the tires corresponding to the plurality of parameter information when the moving body travels along at least one of the plurality of routes, based on the tire heat information, the route information, and the plurality of parameter information acquired by the acquisition unit.

[0006] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Components and processes that perform the same actions and functions are given the same reference numerals throughout the drawings, and duplicated descriptions may be omitted as appropriate. Furthermore, the present disclosure is not limited to the following embodiments, and can be implemented with appropriate modifications within the scope of the purpose of the present disclosure.
[0007] <Information Processing System> Fig. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of an information processing system 1. The information processing system 1 is a system that collects information related to tires attached to a mobile object 2, such as a vehicle traveling through a mine, and performs processing related to the tire condition of the tires. As shown in Fig. 1, the information processing system 1 includes a user terminal 3 and a server device (hereinafter referred to as "server") 5 that operates as an information processing device. The server 5 is an example of an information processing device disclosed herein.
[0008] The user terminal 3 and the server 5 are connected to each other via a network 6. The network 6 is any network that can be connected by wire or wirelessly, such as a telephone line, a LAN, a WAN, the Internet, a wide area Ethernet network, etc. The network 6 may be configured such that the mobile object 2 is equipped with a communication device (not shown) and is connected to the mobile object 2 so that information can be transmitted and received.
[0009] The information processing system 1 may be realized by including a configuration of a network environment including a virtual network in which some networks and some or all devices are virtualized in a virtual space called a cloud. For example, the server 5 may be formed in a virtual space called a cloud, and a client terminal known as a client-server system may be connected to the server 5 via a network 6 to operate the server 5. Furthermore, to ensure redundancy of the information processing system 1, multiple servers 5 may be connected via a network.
[0010] 1 also shows an example in which a user terminal 3 is connected to the network 6. The present disclosure is not limited to a case in which one user terminal 3 is connected to the network, and multiple terminal devices may be connected as the user terminal 3. For example, the user terminal 3 may include one or more terminals provided within the same company or base. An example of multiple user terminals 3 may include a worker terminal used by a user who is a worker performing work related to mobile objects and tires, a manager terminal used by a user who is a manager who manages the work, and a supervisor terminal used by a user who is a supervisor who oversees the work, all of which may be linked together.
[0011] In the present disclosure, the term "tire" refers to an elastically deformable member attached to a moving body 2 such as a vehicle traveling through a mine, and is a concept that includes a member that can be attached and detached from the moving body. The tire in question includes a pneumatic tire.
[0012] Tire thermal information is an example of a physical quantity that indicates the tire's thermal state, and is a concept that includes at least the tire's temperature. Tire thermal information can include the internal pressure, such as the air pressure of a pneumatic tire, and the internal temperature of the pneumatic tire. That is, the tire thermal information can be, for example, a physical quantity that indicates the thermal state of a tire component. Examples of tire component components include a bead, a carcass, a belt, and tread rubber. Furthermore, the temperature of a tire component can be, for example, applied to the physical quantity that indicates the thermal state of a tire component.
[0013] Generally, the temperature of a tire during running varies for each component. The temperature of each tire component can be calculated, for example, by attaching a temperature sensor to a chamber (i.e., the space between the inner surface of the tire and the rim / wheel), measuring the temperature in the chamber, and converting the measured temperature in the chamber into the temperature of each tire component. For example, by using a predetermined calculation formula to convert the temperature in the chamber into the temperature of each tire component (tread, belt, bead, etc.), the temperature of the component (tread, belt, bead, etc.) can be calculated from the measured temperature in the chamber. Furthermore, the temperature of each tire component (tread, belt, bead, etc.) can also be calculated by adding a constant based on past data, etc., to the measured temperature in the chamber.
[0014] Alternatively, the tire temperature can be predicted by known prediction methods depending on the tire's surrounding environment and tire running conditions.
[0015] The mobile object 2 travels from a first point, which is a point from the current location to a destination, to a second point via an arbitrary route. The route from the first point to the second point may be a single route or a series of routes passing through multiple points. At work sites such as quarrying sites and mines, tire temperature changes depending on at least one of the travel distance, travel speed, load, and elevation difference between the stopping point and the travel point. That is, at work sites such as quarrying sites and mines, the heat generated in the tires changes depending on the travel route. For this reason, it is preferable to consider the tire temperature for each route traveled by the mobile object 2. Therefore, in this embodiment, the heat generated in the tires is considered for each route traveled by the mobile object 2 (details will be described later). The information indicating the heat generated in the tires to be considered is tire heat state information indicating the thermal state of the tires along the route, and tire temperature increase / decrease information indicating the amount of increase / decrease in tire temperature during travel can be applied.
[0016] The driving information is an example of a physical quantity indicating the tire condition related to tire driving. For example, the driving information may include information such as the tire's driving time, driving distance, driving speed, and tire rotation count. The driving information may also include information such as the remaining tread depth (RTD), which is the amount of change in the tire structure that occurs with driving. Other examples of the amount of change in the tire structure include the shape, width, and depth of the grooves provided in the tire, the thickness of the tire tread, and the degree of wear of the tire tread, such as uneven wear. The driving distance is preferably used as the driving information. For example, a known sensor capable of measuring at least one of the time and distance traveled by the tire by sensing tire rotation can be used as the measurement unit for measuring the driving information. Furthermore, the remaining tread depth may be measured directly by a measurement sensor or derived from an image captured by a camera or the like. The driving distance may be measured using, for example, a GPS record.
[0017] The tire temperature change information is a physical quantity indicating a change in tire temperature that changes in the tire traveling along the route. This tire temperature change information may be a tire temperature change degree that indicates a degree of change in the tire temperature according to heat generated in the tire.
[0018] <Mobile object> Fig. 2 is a conceptual diagram showing an example of a mobile object 2 such as a vehicle traveling in a mine. The example shown in Fig. 2 conceptually shows a configuration including an on-board device 24 that collects tire heat information and the like.
[0019] In this embodiment, the moving object 2 has a total of six tires 20, one tire each on the front left and right and two tires each on the rear left and right. The tires 20 are each equipped with a sensor module 22. The sensor module 22 measures the tire condition, i.e., acquires and transmits tire heat information. The sensor module 22 may measure driving information in addition to the tire heat information. In this embodiment, the sensor module 22 measures and transmits at least the tire heat information. Note that in FIG. 2 , the tires 20 and the sensor modules 22 are assigned reference symbols according to their positions on the moving object 2. That is, the tire on the front right side of the moving object 2 in the traveling direction is indicated as tire 20 (FR), and the tire on the front left side is indicated as tire 20 (FL). Furthermore, of the two tires 20 on the rear right side, the outer tire is indicated as tire 20 (BRO) and the inner tire is indicated as tire 20 (BRI). Similarly, of the two tires 20 provided on the rear left side, the outer tire is indicated as tire 20 (BLO) and the inner tire is indicated as tire 20 (BLI). In the following explanation, when describing the position of the tires on the moving body 2, reference numerals are used, but in other cases, the tires 20 and sensor module 22 are collectively referred to.
[0020] In this embodiment, the mobile body 2 is described as having six tires 20, but the technology of the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the technology of the present disclosure is applicable to a mobile body 2 having three or more tires 20. Preferably, the technology is applicable to a mobile body 2 having four to ten tires 20, and is also applicable to a mobile body 2 having ten or more tires 20. Furthermore, the arrangement of the tires 20 on the mobile body 2 is not limited to an equal number of tires on the left and right, but the number may be determined depending on the position of the tires 2 relative to the mobile body 2. Furthermore, the arrangement of the tires 20 is not limited to front-to-back or left-to-right. For example, the tire 20 may be arranged in the center between at least one of the front-to-back and left-to-right positions.
[0021] The mobile object 2 is equipped with an on-board device 24 that collects and transmits information related to the tires (including at least tire temperature data in this embodiment). The on-board device 24 acquires information from each sensor module 22. The sensor module 22 is attached to the wheel of the tire 20, or inside or outside the tire on the vehicle body, and measures at least the temperature of the tire 20 and transmits the measured temperature data to the on-board device 24.
[0022] The vehicle-mounted device 24 receives the temperature data of each tire sent from the sensor module 22 and controls the transmission of the tire temperature data associated with the tire's mounting position to the outside of the mobile object 2. The tire's mounting position can be identified from a correspondence table that matches the tire's mounting position with the unique identification code of the sensor module 22 of that tire. The vehicle-mounted device 24 includes an electronic control unit (ECU), a transceiver unit, and a memory (not shown). The memory (not shown) can record the correspondence table that matches the tire's mounting position with the unique identification code of the sensor module 22, as well as information from the sensor module 22 (temperature data of the tire 20) as a log. The vehicle-mounted device 24 can also have a function to output the log recorded in the memory (not shown) to the outside of the mobile object 2.
[0023] In this embodiment, a case will be described in which the in-vehicle device 24 acquires and records temperature data from the sensor module 22 and outputs the temperature data to the outside of the mobile object 2, but the present disclosure is not limited to this. For example, data from the sensor module 22 may be output directly to an external device such as the server 5 via the network 6 without going through the in-vehicle device 24. In this case, the correspondence table related to the sensor module 22 may also be stored in a device included in the information processing system 1 (for example, the server 5) without being stored in the in-vehicle device 24.
[0024] Furthermore, the tire temperature data is provided with time information when the data is transmitted from the sensor module 22. This makes it possible to identify the date and time of the tire temperature data.
[0025] Furthermore, the vehicle-mounted device 24 may acquire and transmit at least one of the travel amount of the tire (e.g., travel time of the tire, travel distance, tire rotation count, etc.) and the amount of change in the tire structure (e.g., remaining tread depth, etc.) as the travel information. Note that this travel information does not necessarily have to be acquired by the vehicle-mounted device 24. For example, the travel information may be acquired by measurement using an external device of the mobile object 2.
[0026] Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of the structure of the tire 20. Fig. 3 shows a tire tread portion TR, a tire belt BL, and a carcass CS as typical tire components of the tire 20. Information related to the tire 20 (e.g., remaining tread depth, temperature data of the tire 20) is measured by a measurement unit 34 such as a measurement device or a sensor module 22.
[0027] <User Terminal> Next, an example of the configuration of a terminal in the information processing system 1 according to the embodiment will be described. FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a user terminal 3. The user terminal 3 is a terminal device provided at a base where processing is performed on tires attached to a moving object 2 such as a vehicle (for example, a management base that manages the condition of the tires). A user operating the user terminal 3 performs processing on the tire based on the tire condition of the tire. The user terminal 3 transmits information related to the tire (for example, tire heat information, driving information, etc.) to the server 5 and receives a reply from the server 5 in response. Note that a general-purpose computer device such as a personal computer (PC) can be used as the user terminal 3.
[0028] The user terminal 3 includes a computer main unit 30, which includes a CPU 30A, RAM 30B, ROM 30C, and I / O 30D, all of which are connected to one another via a bus 30E. An auxiliary storage device 35, which may be implemented by a HDD or non-volatile flash memory, is connected to the bus 30E. Also connected to the I / O 30D are a communication unit 31 that communicates with external devices, an input unit 32 through which the user inputs data, and a display unit 33 through which the user can check the data.
[0029] The auxiliary storage device 35 can store a user terminal program 35P. The user terminal 3 reads the user terminal program 35P from the auxiliary storage device 35, loads it into RAM 30B, and executes the processing. As a result, the user terminal 3 that executes the user terminal program 35P operates as a device that performs processing on the tire condition of tires in the store. The user terminal program 35P may be provided on a recording medium such as a CD-ROM.
[0030] The auxiliary storage device 35 also stores various data 35D used by the user terminal 3.
[0031] The communication unit 31 can acquire information, that is, tire temperature data, which is tire heat information, from the vehicle-mounted device 24 of the moving object 2 via a wired or wireless connection.
[0032] A measurement unit 34 that measures the tire condition can be connected to the I / O 30D. The measurement unit 34 is a measurement device that measures information related to tire running. In this embodiment, information on remaining tread depth (RTD), which is the amount of change in tire structure, can be applied as an example of the information related to tire running, and a measurement device that measures the remaining tread depth of the tire 20 can be applied as the measurement unit that measures the remaining tread depth.
[0033] It is not essential that the measurement unit 34 be connected to the user terminal 3. For example, instead of the measurement unit 34, input may be made from the input unit 32.
[0034] <Server> Next, an example of the configuration of the server 5 will be described with reference to FIG. 5 . The server 5 is an example of a server device connected to the network 6, which has the function of acquiring information related to tire heat (e.g., tire temperature) from the user terminal 3 and transmitting information to assist in processing the traveling of the mobile object 2. The server 5 includes a computer main unit 50, which includes a CPU 50A, a RAM 50B, a ROM 50C, and an I / O 50D, all of which are connected to one another via a bus 50E. An auxiliary storage device 55 is also connected to the bus 50E. The I / O 50D is also connected to a communication unit 51 that communicates with devices on the network 6, an input unit 52 for user data input, and a display unit 53. Note that if the server 5 is configured to be operable by a client terminal (not shown), the input unit 52 and the display unit 53 are not required components.
[0035] The auxiliary storage device 55 stores various types of data 55D used by the server 5. The auxiliary storage device 55 also stores a table 55T indicating information that supports processing for the route of travel of the mobile object 2, and a server program 55P. The table 55T will be described later.
[0036] The server 5 reads the server program 55P from the auxiliary storage device 55, expands it in the RAM 50B, and executes the processing. The server 5 that executes the server program 55P operates as an information processing device that outputs information to support processing for the route along which the mobile object 2 travels in accordance with information from the user terminal 3.
[0037] 6 is a block diagram showing an example of the functional configuration of the server 5 according to the present embodiment. As shown in FIG. 6, a CPU 50A of the server 5 executes a server program 55P to function as the information processing device of the present disclosure. The information processing device includes functional units that function as an acquisition unit 500, a calculation unit 502, and a control unit 504.
[0038] The acquisition unit 500 has a function of acquiring information output from the user terminal 3, and acquires at least the tire temperature, which is tire heat information of the tires 20 attached to the moving body 2. The acquisition unit 500 may also have a function of acquiring the remaining tread depth, which is driving information. Note that the tire temperature and remaining tread depth, which are tire heat information of the tires 20, are acquired for each of the multiple tires attached to the moving body 2.
[0039] The acquisition unit 500 also has a function of acquiring multiple pieces of route information related to the route traveled by the mobile object 2 in order to support processing of the route traveled by the mobile object 2. The route information is information indicating the route traveled by the mobile object 2 from a first point to a second point different from the first point. The route information may include information related to the route such as elevation difference, distance, and road surface conditions. The route from the first point to the second point may be a single route or a series of routes passing through multiple points.
[0040] Furthermore, the acquisition unit 500 has a function of acquiring designated values for a plurality of parameters (parameter information) that indicate driving conditions related to the driving of the mobile object along the route input by the user. One example of the plurality of parameters is a value that associates at least one of the following with the route: tire temperature, load (i.e., payload), driving speed, outside temperature, and tire pressure ( FIG. 8 ). Note that the parameters of outside temperature and tire pressure may be omitted from the plurality of parameters.
[0041] The calculation unit 502 is a functional unit that calculates tire conditions related to tire heat (tire heat condition information). Specifically, the calculation unit 502 calculates tire heat condition information and tire temperature increase / decrease information for each path as tire temperature fluctuation information using tire heat information including tire temperatures acquired by the acquisition unit 500, path information, and specified values related to multiple parameters. The tire temperature increase / decrease information is information that includes at least one of the amount of increase in tire temperature and the amount of decrease in tire temperature.
[0042] The tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route calculated by the calculation unit 502 is a prediction result of the increase / decrease in tire temperature when the mobile object travels along the route based on the route information acquired by the acquisition unit 500. The prediction of the tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route, i.e., the prediction of the tire temperature and the like along the route along which the mobile object travels, will be described later.
[0043] The control unit 504 is a functional unit that controls output of the predicted tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route calculated by the calculation unit 502 to the user terminal 3 or the display unit 53. The acquisition unit 500 is an example of an acquisition unit of the present disclosure, the calculation unit 502 is an example of an estimation unit of the present disclosure, and the control unit 504 is an example of a display control unit of the present disclosure. In addition, the functional unit in the calculation unit that predicts tire temperature and the like is an example of a prediction unit of the present disclosure.
[0044] Here, prediction of tire temperature increase / decrease information as tire heat state information will be described.
[0045] Heat accumulates in the tire 20 as the vehicle travels, which can cause problems such as separation between the tread and the belt of the tire 20 or smoke due to the heat. Since these problems are caused by increases or decreases in tire temperature, this embodiment makes it possible to assist in avoiding these problems by checking the increases or decreases in tire temperature. Specifically, this embodiment provides information for driving the vehicle so as to reduce the increase in tire temperature.
[0046] 7 is a diagram showing a schematic diagram of a path (travel route) traveled by a mobile vehicle at a work site such as a quarry site or a mine. At the work site, the mobile vehicle is loaded with a cargo such as excavated crushed stone and unloads the loaded cargo at a predetermined base. In FIG. 7 , the base where the cargo is loaded is designated as node L, the base where the loaded cargo is unloaded is designated as node D, and the path between the base where the cargo is loaded (node L) and the base where the loaded cargo is unloaded (node D) is designated as route R.
[0047] When a moving object travels along a route, tire temperature increases or decreases depending on the traveling state of the moving object. That is, tire temperature changes depending on parameter values such as tire temperature, the load capacity of the moving object, traveling speed, outside air temperature, and tire pressure. Meanwhile, the values of these parameters change from moment to moment. On each route, the amount of increase or decrease in tire temperature also changes as the parameter values change. Therefore, in this embodiment, the user is configured to be able to specify the values of multiple parameters indicating the traveling state as designated values. Therefore, the user can check the increase or decrease in tire temperature for each route when the parameter values are changed.
[0048] FIG. 8 is a conceptual diagram illustrating a user interface through which a user specifies parameter values. The user interface 320 illustrated in FIG. 8 includes a display area 322 displaying the names of parameters indicating driving conditions, a display area 324 displaying parameter values in a manner that allows the user to specify them, and a display area 326 displaying the values of the parameters specified in the display area 322. In the example illustrated in FIG. 8, tire temperature, vehicle payload, driving speed, outside air temperature, and tire pressure are applied as examples of parameters indicating driving conditions displayed in the display area 322. The values of these parameters can be changed by sliding toggles 324T. The specified parameter values are then displayed in the display area 326. These parameters are also associated with a route. In FIG. 8, the display area displaying the route in a manner that allows the user to select one of multiple routes in a pull-down format includes a selection button 324S, which allows the user to select one of multiple routes, and a text box 324R, which displays information indicating the selected route. The information indicating the route includes at least one of the vehicle's driving distance and elevation difference. Therefore, the user interface 320 can change the conditions for predicting tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route, which will be described later.
[0049] The initial values of each parameter in the user interface 320 may be values detected in the current moving object, or may be predetermined values.
[0050] The user interface 320 can be provided as one function of the acquisition unit 500. The user interface 320 is an example of a designation unit of the present disclosure.
[0051] The user interface 320 is an example of a configuration capable of specifying parameter values, and is not limited to the configuration shown in FIG. 8 , as long as it includes a module that enables parameter values to be specified and confirmed. For example, a pre-specified numerical value may be acquired and specified as the parameter value. One example of acquiring the numerical value is acquiring a numerical value input by the user via the input unit 32. Thus, a parameter indicating the driving state can be specified as a parameter-based condition based on a numerical value intended by the user. Another example of acquiring the numerical value is pre-storing one or more parameter conditions based on at least one parameter value in a memory (such as the auxiliary storage device 35) and then reading the recorded parameter value from the memory to obtain the numerical value. Specifically, parameter conditions in which the parameter value is specified more frequently than the standard frequency may be pre-stored in a memory and read out, allowing confirmation of the parameter value without having to select each individual parameter value each time. Examples of such parameter conditions include a parameter condition with a high load (high load condition) indicating a larger load or a faster speed than the standard, and a parameter condition with a high load (low load condition) indicating a smaller load or a slower speed than the standard.
[0052] The calculation unit 502 predicts the increase or decrease in tire temperature when the mobile object travels along each route as tire temperature increase or decrease information for each route, based on the parameter values specified via the user interface 320. In other words, the tire temperature prediction can be realized as a prediction process executed by the calculation unit 502.
[0053] Here, a process for predicting the tire temperature, which increases and decreases when a moving object travels along a route, will be described.
[0054] The prediction process in the calculation unit 502 uses a trained learning model to estimate and output, for each route, an unknown tire temperature increase or decrease amount corresponding to the parameter value specified on the user interface 320. The learning model is trained using learning data including the parameter values indicating the driving conditions when traveling along each route and the tire temperature increase or decrease amount for those parameters.
[0055] Next, a learning process for generating a learning model will be described. In the learning process, learning is performed using the values (input data) of each parameter, labeled with the tire temperature increase / decrease amount (output data) for the parameter value indicating the driving state when traveling each route, as learning data (so-called teacher data). In other words, the learning model is trained to output the tire temperature increase / decrease amount for the input parameter value indicating the driving state of the route.
[0056] 9 is a diagram showing the conceptual configuration of a learning model generation device that generates a learning model 502M. The learning model generation device includes a learning processing unit 502P. The learning model generation device can be configured to include a computer that includes a CPU (not shown) (e.g., CPU 50A of the server 5), and is executed as the learning processing unit 502P by processing executed by the CPU to generate the learning model 502M.
[0057] The learning data used to generate the learning model 502M is a large collection of sets of data indicating the values of parameters that indicate the driving conditions when driving each route, and data indicating the amount of increase or decrease in tire temperature corresponding to those parameter values.
[0058] Therefore, the learning data is a set of data indicating the values of parameters that indicate the driving conditions when driving each route and data indicating the tire temperature increase / decrease amounts corresponding to the parameter values. An example of the learning data is shown in Table 1 below. Table 1 is an example of a data set that associates data (r) indicating the values of parameters that indicate the driving conditions with data (R) indicating the tire temperature increase / decrease amounts as learning data.
[0059]
[0060] The learning model is generated by a learning processing unit 502P of the learning model generating device shown in FIG. 9 through a learning model generation process, in which a learning model 502M is generated using the above-described learning data.
[0061] The learning processing unit 502P has a function of outputting the tire temperature increase / decrease amount in consideration of the interrelationships between the input values of multiple parameters. That is, the learning processing unit 502P has a function of generating a learning model that receives the input values of multiple parameters and outputs the tire temperature increase / decrease amount corresponding to the input values of the multiple parameters.
[0062] The learning processing unit 502P can be configured, for example, by a known neural network (NN) including an input layer, an intermediate layer, and an output layer. The neural network includes a large number of node groups (neuron groups) with inter-node connections and feedback connections in each layer. Input data is output via the input layer, intermediate layer, and output layer.
[0063] The learning processing unit 502P learns using a large number of parameter values, thereby generating tire temperature increase / decrease amounts corresponding to the multiple parameter values. That is, the data generated within the learning processing unit 502P is compared with the tire temperature increase / decrease amounts in the learning data, and the connections between all nodes, i.e., each of the weight parameters of the node connections, are optimized using techniques such as gradient descent or backpropagation so as to minimize the error in the comparison results. Note that neural networks are a well-known technology, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0064] As described above, the learning processing unit 502P generates the learning model 502M using the learning data described above through the learning model generation process. The learning model 502M is expressed as a set of information on weight parameters (weights or strengths) of connections between nodes as a result of learning, and is stored in a memory (not shown) (for example, the ROM 30C or the auxiliary storage device 35 of the server 5).
[0065] In the processing of the learning processing unit 502P described above, a set of data on parameters of the driving conditions and data on tire temperature increase / decrease is acquired as learning data, and a learning model 502M is generated using the acquired learning data. That is, a set of information on weight parameters (weights or strengths) of bonds between nodes as a result of learning using a large amount of learning data as described above is obtained. Then, data expressed as a set of information on weight parameters (weights or strengths) of bonds between nodes as a result of learning is stored as the learning model 502M. Then, the calculation unit 502 uses the trained learning model 502M (i.e., data expressed as a set of information on weight parameters of bonds between nodes as a result of learning) as the learning model 502M. If a sufficiently trained learning model 502M is used, it is not impossible to predict (estimate) tire temperature increase / decrease from any driving condition parameters.
[0066] Therefore, the calculation unit 502 uses the above-mentioned learning model 502M to predict the tire temperature increase or decrease along each route traveled by the mobile object as tire temperature increase or decrease information corresponding to the parameter values for each route specified via the user interface 320. That is, the calculation unit 502 inputs the parameter values for each route specified via the user interface 320 into the learning model 502M, and acquires the tire temperature increase or decrease amount, which is the output of the learning model 502M, as the prediction result.
[0067] 10 is a conceptual diagram showing, for each route, the tire temperature increase / decrease amount predicted according to the parameter values specified by the user. Fig. 10 is an example of display data resulting from control performed by the control unit 504 to display, on the display unit 33 of the user terminal 3 or the display unit 53 of the server 5, data that is the prediction result of tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route calculated by the calculation unit 502. That is, the control unit 504 generates the display data and controls outputting it to the user terminal 3 or the display unit 53.
[0068] The display data shown in FIG. 10 is an example including a display format in which tire temperature change information for each route is represented by a bar graph, and a display format in which cycle time for each route is represented by a bar graph. The tire temperature change information is distributed in the positive (+) direction when tire temperature increases and in the negative (-) direction when tire temperature decreases. The cycle time indicates the travel time between base stations. In each display format, data for travel without a load (unloaded state) is shown by a single-colored bar graph, and data for travel with a load (loaded state) is shown by a bar graph filled with diagonal lines.
[0069] Therefore, by changing the parameter values in the above-described user interface 320, the tire temperature increase / decrease information and cycle time for each route corresponding to the changed parameter values are changed and reflected in the bar graph. That is, the parameter values in the user interface 320 ( FIG. 8 ) and the height of the bar graph ( FIG. 10 ) are linked. Therefore, by the user specifying the parameter values indicating the driving conditions for each route and changing the conditions, the user can check the tire temperature increase / decrease information and the like corresponding to the changed (specified) driving conditions.
[0070] The display data is not limited to the tire temperature change information for each route and the cycle time for each route shown in Fig. 10, but may be, for example, only the tire temperature change information for each route. The display format is not limited to a bar graph, and any display format may be adopted as long as it allows the tire temperature change information and changes in the cycle time to be confirmed.
[0071] (Information Processing) Next, the information processing executed in the information processing system 1 will be described, focusing on the processing executed in the server 5.
[0072] The user terminal 3 executes a process for measuring tire temperatures (tire heat information) and transmits the measured data to the server 5. The user terminal 3 then waits for a response from the server 5. The user terminal 3 receives a response from the server 5, such as information indicating the route of the moving object 2, and controls output of the received information, such as displaying it on the display unit 33. The user terminal 3 can also receive information from the user interface 320 described above as a response from the server 5 and control displaying it on the display unit 33 ( FIG. 8 ). The user can specify parameter values for each route using the user interface 320 displayed on the user terminal 3. Once the parameter values for each route have been specified, the user terminal 3 can transmit the specified parameter values for each route to the server 5.
[0073] 11 is a flowchart showing an example of the flow of server processing executed in the server 5. The processing routine shown in FIG. 11 is an example of the flow of processing of the server program 55P stored in the server 5. The processing routine shown in FIG. 11 is executed by the CPU 50A in the server 5.
[0074] The information processing shown in FIG. 11 is an example of processing executed by an information processing method and an information processing program disclosed herein.
[0075] As described above, the CPU 50A, as the acquisition unit 500, executes a process of acquiring data (temperature data) based on tire heat information transmitted from the user terminal 3 in step S100. Also, in step S100, the CPU 50A executes a process of acquiring data indicating parameter values for each route specified using the user interface 320. Furthermore, in step S100, information indicating multiple routes along which the mobile object 2 will travel (e.g., FIG. 7) is acquired.
[0076] Next, in step S110, the CPU 50A, as the calculation unit 502, executes a process of predicting the tire temperature increase or decrease when the moving object travels along each route as tire temperature increase or decrease information for each route, based on the parameter values specified via the above-mentioned user interface 320. In this prediction process, the above-mentioned learning model 502M is used to obtain the tire temperature prediction results for each route.
[0077] Next, in step S120, the CPU 50A, as the control unit 504, executes processing to control output of tire temperature increase / decrease information (tire temperature increase / decrease amount) for each route, which is the tire temperature prediction result for each route calculated in step S110, to the user terminal 3 or the display unit 53. In step S120, the tire temperature increase / decrease information (tire temperature increase / decrease amount) shown for each route is generated as data in a predetermined display format (for example, FIG. 10 ), and output (i.e., transmit) the information to the user terminal 3, thereby ending this processing routine.
[0078] Therefore, the user terminal 3 can receive tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route traveled by the moving object 2. Therefore, the user operating the user terminal 3 can check tire temperature increase / decrease information (tire temperature increase / decrease amount) for each route traveled by the moving object 2. Therefore, the user can indicate an appropriate route according to the checked tire temperature increase / decrease information (tire temperature increase / decrease amount), indicate the traveling state of the moving object 2, or instruct the moving object 2 to stop traveling.
[0079] In this manner, the information processing system 1 of the present disclosure can estimate information related to the heat generated in a tire when a mobile object equipped with the tire is traveling, corresponding to the route. That is, in this embodiment, tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route corresponding to the traveling conditions (parameters) specified by the user is output so that the user can check it. This allows the user to specify the traveling conditions of the mobile object 2 for each route, check the heat generated in the tires mounted on the mobile object 2 (amount of tire temperature increase / decrease), and formulate a plan for the traveling of the mobile object 2 at a work site where the mobile object 2 travels. That is, the information processing system 1 of the present disclosure can support operations related to the traveling of the mobile object 2 traveling at work sites such as quarrying sites and mines.
[0080] The above describes a case where tire temperature fluctuation information for each route traveled by a mobile object is output to a user so that the user can check it using predetermined route information. However, at work sites such as quarrying sites and mines, the terrain changes from moment to moment as the work progresses. For this reason, it is difficult to determine the route of a mobile object traveling through an actual work site by constantly using predetermined route information. Therefore, in this embodiment, a process can be executed that enables the route information to be updated to reflect the constantly changing terrain.
[0081] For example, if the terrain changes as the work progresses, the bases and routes described above can be changed in accordance with the change in terrain. Specifically, if a base node no longer exists, the non-existent node can be used as a relay point on the route, or the non-existent node can be deleted and the routes of other nodes connected to it can be deleted. Furthermore, if a new base or route is added, a node and route indicating the added base can be added.
[0082] In this way, even if bases or routes disappear or are added, it is possible to appropriately update the bases and routes. Therefore, even if the terrain changes from moment to moment as work progresses at a work site such as a quarry or mine, tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route can be output so that the user can check it.
[0083] The above describes an example of outputting tire temperature increase / decrease information for each route so that it can be confirmed by the user. Meanwhile, heat accumulates in the tire 20 as the tire travels, which can cause problems such as separation between the tread and the belt of the tire 20 or smoke due to heat. Therefore, in this embodiment, it is possible to consider the risk of tire degradation, including tire components, that indicates the risk of causing such problems. Specifically, in this embodiment, it is possible to output a degradation index of the tire degradation risk, which indicates the risk of causing problems, together with or instead of the tire temperature increase / decrease information.
[0084] That is, the tire heat information can be applied to a thermal history indicating the tire heat that changes from moment to moment. The thermal history indicates the change characteristics of tire temperature shown in time series, and can be calculated, for example, by integrating the tire temperature shown in time series with the tire running time, etc. The thermal history can correspond to the degree of deterioration of the tire, including the tire constituent members. The tire heat information and thermal history can be used as an example of an index when predicting the risk of deterioration of a tire, including the tire constituent members.
[0085] Specifically, a function for calculating a degradation index of a tire degradation risk can be added to the calculation unit 502 described above. That is, the calculation unit 502 calculates the thermal history or the degree of increase or decrease in the thermal history indicating the degree of change in the thermal history using the tire thermal information acquired by the acquisition unit 500 and the calculated tire thermal state information. The degradation index of a tire degradation risk is a prediction result of the tire degradation state based on the thermal history or the degree of increase or decrease in the thermal history (the gradient of the thermal history). Note that it is possible to calculate the degradation index of a tire degradation risk by adding the remaining tread depth of the tire.
[0086] The calculation unit 502 determines the tire condition of the target tire indicated by the thermal history or the degree of increase or decrease in the thermal history (the gradient of the thermal history), and predicts the determined tire condition as the tire deterioration state. This tire condition determination and prediction of the tire deterioration state are performed using predetermined determination conditions.
[0087] FIG. 12 is a conceptual diagram showing the characteristics of thermal history with respect to tire running. FIG. 12 shows the characteristics of thermal history for a tire with a large thermal history gradient and a tire with a small thermal history gradient. As the thermal history gradient increases, the risk of tire degradation increases. A tire with a large thermal history gradient has a higher degradation risk than a tire with a small thermal history gradient. Note that the sum of thermal histories can also be applied instead of the thermal history gradient. In other words, a tire with a large total thermal history has a higher degradation risk than a tire with a small total thermal history.
[0088] Heat accumulates in the tire 20 as the tire 20 travels, causing separation between the tread and belt of the tire 20 and the generation of smoke due to the heat. For this reason, it is preferable to identify the state of tire deterioration and reduce the risk of deterioration before separation or smoke occurs in the tire 20. Therefore, the tire condition of the target tire is determined based on the thermal history or the degree of increase or decrease in the thermal history (the gradient of the thermal history), and the determined tire condition is derived as a degradation index of the tire degradation risk.
[0089] Fig. 13 shows an example of a determination map indicating the determination conditions for determining the state of tire degradation as a degradation index of the degradation risk. The determination map shown in Fig. 13 is stored in advance in table 55T. The determination map defines the state of tire degradation corresponding to the degree of increase or decrease in thermal history and the remaining tread depth of the tire in a coordinate space with the vertical axis representing the degree of increase or decrease in thermal history (the gradient of the thermal history) and the horizontal axis representing the remaining tread depth of the tire. Note that the vertical axis may also represent the sum of the thermal history.
[0090] As shown in FIG. 13 , the determination map is divided into small regions A, B, and C that indicate the tire degradation risk. Thermal risk can be applied to the tire degradation risk. That is, small region A is a region to which tires 20 with the highest thermal risk belong, and is, for example, a region to which tires 20 with a possibility of thermal degradation (e.g., smoke failure) that generates smoke as an example of thermal degradation such as a sudden thermal failure belong. Small region B is a region to which tires 20 with a medium degradation risk (thermal risk) lower than small region A belong, and is, for example, a region to which tires 20 with a possibility of thermal degradation (e.g., separation failure) that does not generate smoke but causes separation inside the tire 20 belong. Small region C is a region to which tires 20 with an even lower degradation risk (thermal risk) than small regions A and B belong. For example, small region C is a region to which tires with a possibility of tire degradation risk leading to a normal level of failure (normal failure) belong, and is a region to which tires 20 that deteriorate over time or in use belong. These small regions are classified using thresholds R1, R2, and R3, which classify the range of remaining tread depth of the tire into multiple categories, as boundaries, and thresholds th1 and th2, which classify the range of increase / decrease in thermal history (thermal history gradient) into multiple categories.
[0091] The thresholds R1, R2, and R3 can be determined using a first value Ra determined from a predetermined value (e.g., an upper limit) of the remaining tread depth at which smoke is predicted to occur in the tire 20, and a second value Rb determined from a predetermined value (e.g., an upper limit) of the remaining tread depth that is greater than the first value Ra and at which peeling is predicted to occur in the tire 20. The thresholds th1 and th2 can be determined using a predetermined value (e.g., an upper limit) of the rate of increase or decrease in thermal history (the slope of the thermal history) in a tire in the above-mentioned normal deteriorated state, and a predetermined value (e.g., a lower limit) of the rate of increase or decrease in thermal history (the slope of the thermal history) in a tire in a deteriorated state at which smoke is predicted to occur in the tire 20.
[0092] Therefore, in the determination map, these small regions of the same type are organized, and a region consisting only of small region A is defined as region ErA. Similarly, a region consisting only of small region B is defined as region ErB, and a region consisting only of small region C is defined as region ErC. It is also possible to set region ErAB, which is a combination of region ErA and region ErB, as a region where there is a high possibility of smoke being generated in the tire 20 or peeling occurring inside the tire 20.
[0093] Therefore, the calculation unit 502 uses the determination map ( FIG. 13 ) to determine the degradation state of the target tire from the tire's thermal history or the degree of increase or decrease in the thermal history (the gradient of the thermal history) and the tire's remaining tread depth, and derives the determined degradation state of the tire as a degradation index for the tire degradation risk. That is, the calculation unit 505 derives degradation indexes for the target tire 20 corresponding to regions ErA, ErB, and ErC (and may further include region ErCe) shown in the determination map ( FIG. 13 ). Note that the above-mentioned predetermined values and thresholds are not limited to those described above, and may be within a predetermined range, or multiple values may be set in stages.
[0094] The deterioration index of the deterioration risk is not limited to being calculated by the calculation unit 502. For example, it may be manually input by the user.
[0095] The above-mentioned deterioration index may be derived for each tire 20 mounted on the mobile body 2, or a deterioration index for a representative tire on the mobile body 2 may be applied. The deterioration risk of the tires 20 on the mobile body 2 increases in the order of tires belonging to region ErC, region ErB, and region ErA, so the deterioration risk increases as the value of the deterioration index increases. For this reason, the deterioration index of the tire with the highest deterioration risk among the tires 20 mounted on the mobile body 2 may be used as the deterioration index for the mobile body's tires.
[0096] The control unit 504 may have a functional unit that outputs the deterioration index, which indicates the risk of deterioration, calculated by the calculation unit 502, in association with the route. The control unit 504 outputs information indicated by the deterioration index for each route to the user terminal 3. Thus, the user terminal 3 can receive information (deterioration index) indicating the deterioration state of the tires 20 of the mobile object 2. Therefore, the user operating the user terminal 3 can check the deterioration state of the tires of the mobile object 2 for each route. Therefore, the user operating the user terminal 3 can check and instruct an appropriate route according to the deterioration state of the tires of the mobile object 2.
[0097] (Modification) In the above embodiment, tire heat state information (e.g., tire temperature increase / decrease information) is estimated for each route and output to a terminal or a display unit. However, the tire heat state information may be output to an external device. An example of an external device is an automatic driving control device that controls automatic driving of a moving object. Furthermore, the technology disclosed herein can estimate and output an optimal route and optimal conditions based on the estimated tire heat state information for each route. For example, the information processing device may control the determination of a route for the moving object based on the estimated tire heat state information for each route, and then control the output of information to output information indicating the determined route to an external device or to display the information on a display unit such as display unit 33 or 53.
[0098] For example, the control unit 504 may be configured to include a functional unit that functions as an output unit. The mobile object 2 may then be provided with a mobile object control unit (not shown) that controls the mobile object to automatically travel along a specified route. The control unit 504 may be configured to include a derivation unit that derives control information indicating that control related to the travel of the mobile object is to be performed based on tire heat state information estimated from multiple specified parameter information, and a control information output unit that outputs the control information derived by the derivation unit to the mobile object control unit.
[0099] In addition, when estimating at least one of the optimal route and the optimal conditions, the derivation unit may treat the specified multiple pieces of parameter information as a parameter information set, and derive control information based on multiple pieces of tire heat state information estimated by each of multiple different parameter information sets in which different parameter values are specified.
[0100] The control information may be information indicating a route along which a mobile object travels from a first location to a second location.
[0101] When the control information to be provided to the mobile body 2 is provided from outside the mobile body 2, the control information may be generated outside the mobile body 2 and provided to an automatic driving control device that controls the autonomous driving of the mobile body 2. When the control information is derived in the mobile body 2, the control information may be generated in the automatic driving control device that controls the autonomous driving, and the automatic driving control unit may control the mobile body to drive autonomously in accordance with the control information.
[0102] In this way, the moving body 2 can automatically travel along an optimal route and under optimal conditions determined in accordance with the heat generated in the tires.
[0103] (Other Embodiments) The above-described user terminal 3 and server 5 may be a common device. In the above, data from the user terminal 3 is transmitted to the server 5, and the server 5 returns information indicating the response to the user terminal 3, but the functions of the user terminal 3 may be installed in an on-board device of the mobile object 2. In this way, it becomes possible for the mobile object 2 to check the route of the mobile object 2.
