[0023] 3 is a block diagram showing the ECU 200 together with its peripheral configuration. As shown in FIG. 3, the vehicle 1 includes, as a control system, a vehicle speed sensor 110, a brake sensor 120, a shift position sensor 130, an ignition switch 140, a throttle valve 150, a hydraulic cylinder 160, a touch panel 180, a display device 30, and an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 200. Hereinafter, the ignition switch 140 will be referred to as an IG switch 140.
[0024] The vehicle speed sensor 110 detects the wheel speed of the vehicle 1. The vehicle speed sensor 110 outputs sensor data indicating the detected wheel speed to the ECU 200.
[0025] The brake sensor 120 detects the amount of brake operation and outputs sensor data indicating the detected amount of brake operation to the ECU 200.
[0026] The IG switch 140 is a switch that drives the engine 11 mounted on the vehicle 1. When the IG switch 140 is turned on, a signal notifying that the IG switch 140 is turned on is output to the ECU 200, and when the IG switch 140 is turned off, a signal notifying that the IG switch 140 is turned off is output to the ECU 200. When the IG switch 140 is turned on, the ECU 200 issues a drive command to a starter motor (not shown).
[0027] The shift position sensor 130 detects the shift position of a transmission (not shown) and outputs sensor data indicating the detected shift position to the ECU 200.
[0028] The throttle valve 150 adjusts the amount of intake air to the engine 11 under the control of the ECU 200 .
[0029] The hydraulic cylinder 160 adjusts the hydraulic pressure supplied to the suspension 170 under the control of the ECU 200. By adjusting the hydraulic pressure supplied to the suspension 170 by the hydraulic cylinder 160, the elasticity of the suspension 170 is adjusted.
[0030] The touch panel 180 is provided on the handle-side operation unit 36. The touch panel 180 includes an operation surface 181 and a touch sensor 183 disposed on top of the operation surface 181. The touch sensor 183 detects touch operations on the operation surface 181. The touch operations detected by the touch sensor 183 include swipe operations and flick operations. When the vehicle 1 is a saddle-ride type vehicle as in this embodiment, the instruments 31, 32 and the monitor 33 are small in size, and the occupant's line of sight tends to drop downward, so simple operation is required while traveling. For this reason, this embodiment shows an example in which the vehicle 1 is provided with the touch panel 180 as an operation unit.
[0031] The ECU 200 is a computer device including an input / output I / F 210 , a storage unit 230 , and a processor 250 .
[0032] Sensor data indicating the sensing results of the vehicle speed sensor 110, the brake sensor 120, and the shift position sensor 130 is input to the input / output I / F 210. The input / output I / F 210 outputs the input sensor data to the storage unit 230. The storage unit 230 temporarily stores the sensor data. The input / output I / F 210 is also connected to the IG switch 140, and is notified of the state of the IG switch 140.
[0033] In addition, the input / output I / F 210 is connected to the throttle valve 150 and the hydraulic cylinder 160. The ECU 200 controls the opening degree of the throttle valve 150 via the input / output I / F 210. The ECU 200 also controls the hydraulic pressure supplied by the hydraulic cylinder 160 via the input / output I / F 210 to adjust the elasticity of the suspension 170.
[0034] The storage unit 230 includes at least a nonvolatile storage device. The storage unit 230 may include a volatile storage device in addition to a nonvolatile storage device. The storage unit 230 includes, for example, a read-only memory (ROM), a flash memory, an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM), or the like.
[0035] The storage unit 230 stores the control program executed by the processor 250, sensor data, and judgment thresholds used to judge operations. The storage unit 230 stores a first judgment threshold, a second judgment threshold, a third judgment threshold, and a fourth judgment threshold. The storage unit 230 is also used as a calculation area for the processor 250.
[0036] The processor 250 is an arithmetic processing device including a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) or an MPU (Micro-Processing Unit). The processor 250 may be configured with a single processor or multiple processors. The processor 250 may also be configured with a SoC (System on a Chip) integrated with part or all of the storage unit 230 or other circuits. The processor 250 may also be configured with a combination of a CPU that executes a program and a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) that executes predetermined arithmetic processing. Furthermore, all of the functions of the processor 250 may be implemented in hardware, or may be configured using a programmable device.
[0037] [2. Operation of First Embodiment] ECU 200 includes, as functional units, an acquisition unit 251 and a setting change unit 253. These functional units are realized by processor 250 executing a control program stored in storage unit 230. The functional units indicate functional configurations, and specific implementation forms are not particularly limited. In other words, it is not necessary to implement hardware corresponding to each functional unit individually, and it is of course possible to configure one processor 250 to execute a program to realize the functions of multiple functional units. Furthermore, some of the functions realized by software in the above embodiments may be realized by hardware, or some of the functions realized by hardware may be realized by software.
[0038] The acquisition unit 251 acquires state information from the storage unit 230 and outputs the acquired state information to the setting change unit 253. The state information acquired by the acquisition unit 251 includes sensor data indicating the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor 110, sensor data indicating the amount of brake operation detected by the brake sensor 120, shift position information detected by the shift position sensor 130, information indicating the state of the IG switch 140, and the like.
[0039] The setting change unit 253 changes the relationship between the amount of operation received by the touch panel 180 and the degree of change to change the setting of the operation target, based on the state of the vehicle 1 acquired by the acquisition unit 251. When the vehicle 1 is a saddle-ride type vehicle as in the present embodiment, the occupant operates an operation unit such as the touch panel 180 while wearing gloves, which may make it more difficult to perform delicate operations than with bare hands. For this reason, the setting change unit 253 changes the relationship between the amount of operation received by the touch panel 180 and the degree of change to change the setting of the operation target, depending on the state of the vehicle 1, such as a traveling state or a stopped state.
[0040] Operation targets whose settings can be changed by operations received by the touch panel 180 include, for example, the elasticity of the suspension 170, the output of the drive source of the engine or motor, switching the headlights on and off, and switching the headlights between high beam and low beam. Operation targets also include settings for audio equipment installed in the vehicle 1 and changing speaker output. Furthermore, if the vehicle 1 is equipped with a short-range wireless communication unit such as Bluetooth (registered trademark) and is connected to a mobile device such as a smartphone via this short-range wireless communication unit, operation targets include settings for the mobile device. Settings for the mobile device include, for example, selecting a song to play on the mobile device and setting the volume.
[0041] First, the setting change unit 253 determines the state of the vehicle 1 based on the state information acquired by the acquisition unit 251. The states of the vehicle 1 determined by the setting change unit 253 include a running state in which the vehicle 1 is running and a stopped state in which the vehicle 1 is stopped.
[0042] The setting change unit 253 determines the state of the vehicle 1 based on at least one of the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 , the sensor data of the brake sensor 120 , and the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130 .
[0043] For example, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is stopped when the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 indicates that the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 is 0 km / h and the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130 is neutral or parking. Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is stopped when the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 indicates that the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 is 0 km / h and the sensor data of the brake sensor 120 indicates that the amount of brake operation is equal to or greater than a preset value. Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is stopped when the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 indicates that the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 is 0 km / h, the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130 is neutral or parking, and the sensor data of the brake sensor 120 indicates that the amount of brake operation is equal to or greater than a preset value.
[0044] Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state when the amount of brake operation indicated by the sensor data of the brake sensor 120 is smaller than a preset value and the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 indicated by the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 is greater than 0 km / h. Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state when the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130 is a position other than neutral or parking and the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 indicated by the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 is greater than 0 km / h. Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state when the amount of brake operation indicated by the sensor data of the brake sensor 120 is smaller than a preset value, the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130 is a position other than neutral or parking, and the vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 indicated by the sensor data of the vehicle speed sensor 110 is greater than 0 km / h.
[0045] Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 determines the driving mode of the vehicle 1 as the state of the vehicle 1. The driving modes determined by the setting change unit 253 include a normal driving mode, a traffic jam following mode, and a constant speed driving mode. The setting change unit 253 determines the normal driving mode, the traffic jam following mode, and the constant speed driving mode based on an operation received by the steering wheel side operation unit 36. The vehicle 1 changes the driving mode to the normal driving mode, the traffic jam following mode, or the constant speed driving mode through an operation of the steering wheel side operation unit 36. Furthermore, the setting change unit 253 may determine the driving mode based on external information detected by devices mounted on the vehicle, such as meter operation, accelerator operation by the occupant, vehicle speed, the state of the occupant, and surrounding traffic congestion, in addition to the operation received by the steering wheel side operation unit 36.
[0046] The normal driving mode is a mode in which the vehicle 1 is driven in accordance with the accelerator and brake operations of the occupant. The congestion following mode is a driving mode in which the vehicle 1 is driven to follow a preceding vehicle that is ahead of the vehicle 1 on a congested road. For example, the preceding vehicle is detected based on sensor data from a camera or a distance measuring sensor mounted on the vehicle 1, and the vehicle 1 is driven to follow the preceding vehicle based on the detected sensor data. The constant speed driving mode is a mode in which the vehicle 1 is driven at a constant vehicle speed.
[0047] Having determined the state of the vehicle 1, the setting change unit 253 then accepts an operation performed by the occupant on the touch panel 180, and changes the relationship between the amount of the accepted operation and the degree of change to change the setting of the operation target, based on the determined state of the vehicle 1. In the present embodiment, a determination threshold is prepared for each state of the vehicle 1 and stored in the storage unit 230. The setting change unit 253 reads out the determination threshold corresponding to the determined state of the vehicle 1 from the storage unit 230, and determines the amount of operation by the occupant on the touch panel 180. More specifically, the setting change unit 253 determines whether the amount of the accepted operation is a valid operation, and if it is a valid operation, determines the degree of change to change the setting of the operation target by comparing the amount of the accepted operation with the determination threshold.
[0048] The touch sensor 183 detects the amount and direction of movement of a touch operation performed by an occupant on the touch panel 180. The setting change unit 253 compares the amount of movement of the touch operation detected by the touch panel 180 with a determination threshold value to determine whether the operation detected by the touch panel 180 is a valid operation or to determine the degree of change to change the setting of the operation target.
[0049] The storage unit 230 of the first embodiment stores four determination thresholds: a first determination threshold, a second determination threshold, a third determination threshold, and a fourth determination threshold.
[0050] The first and second judgment thresholds are judgment thresholds used to determine when vehicle 1 is stopped. The first judgment threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by one level. The second judgment threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by two levels. The second judgment threshold is greater than the first judgment threshold.
[0051] The third and fourth determination thresholds are used to determine when the driving mode of the vehicle 1 is the normal driving mode.
[0052] The third determination threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by one level. The fourth determination threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by two levels. The fourth determination threshold is greater than the third determination threshold.
[0053] The first determination threshold value used to determine an operation in a stopped state is smaller than the third determination threshold value used to determine an operation in the normal driving mode. This is because, when the vehicle 1 is stopped, the occupant can perform more delicate operations than when the vehicle 1 is moving. For the same reason, the second determination threshold value used to determine an operation in a stopped state is smaller than the fourth determination threshold value used to determine an operation in the normal driving mode.
[0054] The setting change unit 253 acquires, from the storage unit 230, a determination threshold value corresponding to the determined state of the vehicle 1. When the setting change unit 253 acquires the determination threshold value corresponding to the state of the vehicle 1, the setting change unit 253 compares the acquired determination threshold value with the operation amount of the touch operation detected by the touch panel 180.
[0055] For example, assume that the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state and the setting change unit 253 has acquired the third and fourth judgment thresholds from the storage unit 230. The setting change unit 253 first compares the amount of touch operation detected by the touch panel 180 with the third judgment threshold. If the amount of touch operation is equal to or less than the third judgment threshold, the setting change unit 253 determines that the touch operation detected by the touch panel 180 is an invalid operation. If the amount of touch operation is greater than the third judgment threshold, the setting change unit 253 then compares the amount of touch operation with the fourth judgment threshold. If the amount of touch operation is greater than the third judgment threshold and equal to or less than the fourth judgment threshold, the setting change unit 253 changes the setting of the operation target by one level. If the amount of touch operation is greater than the fourth judgment threshold, the setting change unit 253 changes the setting of the operation target by two levels.
[0056] 4A and 5A show operations performed by the occupant on the touch panel 180, and FIGS. 4B and 5B show changes in the display state of the monitor 33. In particular, FIG. 4 shows changes in the display state of the monitor 33 when the amount of touch operation performed by the occupant is greater than the third determination threshold and equal to or less than the fourth determination threshold. Also, FIG. 5 shows changes in the display state of the monitor 33 when the amount of touch operation performed by the occupant is greater than the fourth determination threshold.
[0057] It is assumed that the vehicle 1 is equipped with an audio device, and that the song being played by the audio device is displayed on the monitor 33. It is also assumed that the song currently being played by the audio device is song A, and that the occupant touches the operation surface 181 of the touch panel 180 with a finger and scrolls the touched finger downward on the operation surface 181, thereby changing the song to song B, song C, song D, and so on.
[0058] When the amount of touch operation detected by touch sensor 183 is small, greater than the third determination threshold, and equal to or less than the fourth determination threshold, setting change unit 253 causes the audio device to play song B next to song A currently being played, as shown in Fig. 4. When the amount of touch operation detected by touch sensor 183 is large, greater than the fourth determination threshold, setting change unit 253 causes the audio device to play song C next to song A currently being played, as shown in Fig. 5.
[0059] Furthermore, the touch panel 180 detects the direction of movement of the touch operation, which is the direction of the operation, in addition to the amount of movement of the touch operation. After determining the state of the vehicle 1, the setting change unit 253 may acquire the direction of the touch operation detected by the touch panel 180 and determine, based on the state of the vehicle 1, whether the operation is a target for comparison with the determination threshold value, based on the acquired direction of the operation.
[0060] When the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state, it is difficult to perform fine operations. For this reason, the setting change unit 253 limits the number of operation directions to be determined when the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state to less than the number of operation directions to be determined when the vehicle 1 is stopped. This can improve the accuracy of determining operations performed by the touch panel 180.
[0061] For example, when the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state, operations in eight directions on the operation surface 181 of the touch panel 180 are subject to judgment: upward, 45 degrees diagonally upward to the right, right, 45 degrees diagonally downward to the right, downward, 45 degrees diagonally downward to the left, left, and 45 degrees diagonally upward to the left. When the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state, operations in four directions on the operation surface 181 of the touch panel 180, namely, upward, downward, leftward, and rightward, are subject to judgment.
[0062] 6 and 7 are flowcharts showing the operation of the ECU 200 in the first embodiment. FIG. 8 is a diagram showing an example of a display on the monitor 33. The operation of the ECU 200 will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG. 6. In the following description, a display indicating the elasticity of the suspension 170 is displayed on the monitor 33, and the display on the monitor 33 is changed by touching the touch panel 180. For example, as shown in FIG. 8, the monitor 33 displays text 301 indicating the elasticity of the suspension 170 (low, medium, high), and check boxes 303 displayed for each text 301. A symbol such as a white circle is displayed in the check box 303 corresponding to the current setting of the suspension 170. The occupant operates the touch panel 180 to change the elasticity of the suspension 170.
[0063] First, the ECU 200 determines whether the IG switch 140 is turned on (step S1). If the IG switch 140 is not turned on (step S1 / NO), the ECU 200 waits until the IG switch 140 is turned on.
[0064] When the IG switch 140 is turned on (step S1 / YES), the ECU 200 acquires (step S2) status information indicating the status of the vehicle 1. The status information acquired by the ECU 200 includes the vehicle speed measured by the vehicle speed sensor 110, the brake operation amount detected by the brake sensor 120, the shift position detected by the shift position sensor 130, the status of the IG switch 140, etc.
[0065] Next, the ECU 200 determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state based on the acquired state information (step S3). If the ECU 200 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S3 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether an operation has been detected (step S4). In this processing flow, it is determined whether a touch operation on the operation surface 181 has been detected.
[0066] The ECU 200 determines whether or not an operation of the touch panel 180 is detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S4). If no operation is detected (step S4 / NO), the ECU 200 determines whether or not the IG switch 140 is turned off (step S5). If the IG switch 140 is turned off (step S5 / YES), the ECU 200 ends this processing flow and terminates control. Furthermore, if the IG switch 140 is not turned off (step S5 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S3).
[0067] Furthermore, when an operation is detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S4 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether the amount of the detected operation is greater than a first determination threshold (step S6). The first determination threshold is a determination threshold used to determine whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state. The ECU 200 regards the movement distance of the occupant's finger on the operation surface 181 detected by the touch sensor 183 as the amount of operation, and determines whether the amount of operation is greater than the first determination threshold.
[0068] If the amount of operation is equal to or less than the first determination threshold (NO in step S6), the ECU 200 determines that the detected operation is invalid. The ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state.
[0069] If the ECU 200 determines that the amount of operation is greater than the first threshold (YES in step S6), it then compares the amount of operation with a second threshold. The second threshold is also used to determine whether the vehicle 1 is stationary. If the amount of operation is equal to or less than the second threshold (NO in step S7), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by one level (step S8). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to medium.
[0070] Furthermore, if the amount of operation is greater than the second determination threshold (step S7 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by two stages (step S9). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to high.
[0071] Next, the operation of the ECU 200 when the vehicle 1 is traveling will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in Fig. 7. First, when the ECU 200 determines in step S3 that the vehicle 1 is not stopped, the process proceeds to the determination in step S10. The ECU 200 determines whether or not an operation on the touch panel 180 has been detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S10). If an operation on the touch panel 180 has not been detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S10 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is stopped.
[0072] When an operation of the touch panel 180 is detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S10 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether the amount of the detected operation is greater than a third determination threshold (step S11). The third determination threshold is a determination threshold used to determine whether the driving mode of the vehicle 1 is the normal driving mode. When the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the third determination threshold (step S11 / NO), the ECU 200 determines that the detected operation is invalid. The ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state.
[0073] Furthermore, if the amount of the detected operation is greater than the third determination threshold (YES in step S11), the ECU 200 determines whether the amount of the detected operation is greater than a fourth determination threshold (step S12). The fourth determination threshold is also a determination threshold used to determine whether the driving mode of the vehicle 1 is the normal driving mode. If the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the fourth determination threshold (NO in step S12), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by one level (step S13). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to medium.
[0074] Furthermore, if the amount of operation is greater than the fourth determination threshold (step S12 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by two stages (step S14). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to high.
[0075] 3. Operation of the Second Embodiment Next, a description will be given of the second embodiment. Note that the configuration of the vehicle 1 is the same as that of the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.
[0076] In the vehicle 1 of the second embodiment, the storage unit 230 stores a fifth and a sixth determination threshold in addition to the first, second, third, and fourth determination thresholds.
[0077] The third and fourth judgment thresholds are judgment thresholds used to determine when the driving mode of vehicle 1 is normal driving mode, and the fifth and sixth judgment thresholds are judgment thresholds used to determine when the driving mode of vehicle 1 is congestion following mode or constant speed driving mode.
[0078] The fifth determination threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by one level. The sixth determination threshold is a threshold for determining whether the amount of touch operation detected by touch panel 180 corresponds to an operation that changes the setting of the operation target by two levels. The sixth determination threshold is greater than the fifth determination threshold.
[0079] Of the first, third, and fifth judgment thresholds, the value of the first judgment threshold used to determine operation in a stopped state is the smallest, and the value of the third judgment threshold used to determine operation in normal driving mode is the largest.
[0080] Furthermore, among the second, fourth, and sixth judgment thresholds, the value of the second judgment threshold used to determine operation in a stopped state is the smallest, and the value of the sixth judgment threshold used to determine operation in normal driving mode is the largest.
[0081] The operation of ECU 200 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in Fig. 9. The flowchart in Fig. 9 shows a continuation of the operation shown in the flowchart in Fig. 6. That is, if the determination in step S3 of the flowchart shown in Fig. 6 is negative, ECU 200 executes the operation according to the flowchart shown in Fig. 9. The operation of ECU 200 according to the flowchart in Fig. 6 has already been described, and therefore will not be described in detail again.
[0082] When the ECU 200 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state (step S3 / NO), the ECU 200 determines whether the traveling mode of the vehicle 1 is a congestion following mode or a constant speed traveling mode (step S21). The ECU 200 determines whether the traveling mode of the vehicle 1 is a congestion following mode or a constant speed traveling mode through the operation of the steering wheel side operation unit 36.
[0083] When the ECU 200 determines that the driving mode of the vehicle 1 is the congestion following mode or the constant speed driving mode (step S21 / YES), it determines whether or not an operation on the touch panel 180 is detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S22). When an operation is not detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S22 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S3).
[0084] When the touch sensor 183 detects an operation (YES in step S4), the ECU 200 determines whether the amount of the detected operation is greater than a fifth threshold value (step S6). The fifth threshold value is a threshold value used to determine whether the state of the vehicle 1 is the congestion following mode or the constant speed traveling mode.
[0085] If the operation amount detected by the touch sensor 183 is equal to or less than the fifth determination threshold (step S23 / NO), the ECU 200 determines that the detected operation is invalid. The ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S2) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state.
[0086] If the ECU 200 determines that the operation amount is greater than the fifth threshold (YES in step S23), it then compares the operation amount with a sixth threshold. The sixth threshold is also used to determine whether the vehicle 1 is in the congestion following mode or the constant speed driving mode. If the operation amount is equal to or less than the sixth threshold (NO in step S24), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by one level (step S25). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to medium.
[0087] Furthermore, if the amount of operation is greater than the second determination threshold (step S24 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by two stages (step S26). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to high.
[0088] Furthermore, in step S21, when the driving mode of the vehicle 1 is not the congestion following mode or the constant speed driving mode, the operation is the same as the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 7, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0089] 4. Operation of the Third Embodiment Next, a description will be given of the third embodiment. Note that the configuration of the vehicle 1 is the same as that of the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.
[0090] In the above-described first and second embodiments, the judgment threshold used to judge an operation is changed depending on the state of vehicle 1. For example, when vehicle 1 is stopped, the first judgment threshold and the second judgment threshold are used to judge an operation on touch panel 180. Similarly, when vehicle 1 is in the normal driving mode, the third judgment threshold and the fourth judgment threshold are used to judge an operation on touch panel 180, and when vehicle 1 is in the congestion following mode or the constant speed driving mode, the fifth judgment threshold and the sixth judgment threshold are used to judge an operation on touch panel 180.
[0091] In the third embodiment, a single judgment threshold is used to judge an operation on the touch panel 180 whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state or a traveling state. Furthermore, when the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state, the setting of the operation target is changed by one step each time an operation with an operation amount greater than the judgment threshold is detected. On the other hand, when the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state, if the number of times an operation with an operation amount greater than the judgment threshold is detected is equal to or greater than a preset number, the setting of the operation target is changed. In other words, if the set number is n, the setting of the operation target is changed if judgment threshold x n ≤ operation amount. If the number of times an operation with an operation amount greater than the judgment threshold is detected is less than the set number, the setting of the operation target is not changed. As a result, when the vehicle 1 is traveling, even an operation with a large movement is changed by one step, which further reduces the need to operate while looking at the operation surface.
[0092] 10 and 11, the operation of the ECU 200 according to the third embodiment will be described. First, the ECU 200 determines whether the IG switch 140 is turned on (step S41). If the IG switch 140 is not turned on (step S41 / NO), the ECU 200 waits until the IG switch 140 is turned on.
[0093] When the IG switch 140 is turned on (step S41 / YES), the ECU 200 acquires state information indicating the state of the vehicle 1 (step S42).
[0094] Next, the ECU 200 determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state based on the acquired state information (step S43). If the ECU 200 determines that the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether an operation on the touch panel 180 has been detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S44).
[0095] If the touch sensor 183 does not detect an operation on the touch panel 180 (step S44 / NO), the ECU 200 determines whether the IG switch 140 has been turned off (step S45). If the IG switch 140 has been turned off (step S45 / YES), the ECU 200 ends this processing flow and terminates control.
[0096] Furthermore, if the IG switch 140 is not turned off (step S45 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0097] Furthermore, when an operation of the touch panel 180 is detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S44 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether or not the amount of the detected operation is greater than the judgment threshold (step S46). When the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the judgment threshold (step S46 / NO), the ECU 200 determines that the detected operation is invalid. The ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state.
[0098] If the amount of the detected operation is greater than the determination threshold (step S46 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the object of operation, by one level (step S47). For example, if the current setting of the suspension 170 is low, the setting of the suspension 170 is changed to medium. If the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the determination threshold (step S46 / NO), the ECU 200 returns to step S42, acquires state information again (step S42), and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0099] Next, the operation of the ECU 200 when it is determined that the vehicle 1 is not stopped will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in Fig. 11. When the ECU 200 determines that the vehicle 1 is not stopped (step S43 / NO), it determines whether or not an operation on the touch panel 180 has been detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S48).
[0100] If the touch sensor 183 does not detect an operation on the touch panel 180 (step S48 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0101] Furthermore, when the touch sensor 183 detects an operation on the touch panel 180 (step S48 / NO), the ECU 200 determines whether or not the amount of the detected operation is greater than a determination threshold value (step S49).
[0102] If the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the determination threshold (step S49 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0103] Furthermore, if the amount of the detected operation is greater than the judgment threshold (step S49 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether the number of times the operation whose amount is greater than the judgment threshold has been detected is equal to or greater than a preset number (step S50).
[0104] If the number of times that the ECU 200 detects an operation in which the operation amount is greater than the judgment threshold is not equal to or greater than a preset number (step S50 / NO), the ECU 200 adds 1 to the count value of a counter that counts the number of times that the ECU 200 detects an operation in which the operation amount is greater than the judgment threshold (step S51).
[0105] Furthermore, if the number of times that the operation whose amount is greater than the determination threshold is detected is equal to or greater than a preset number of times (step S50 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the setting of the operation target (step S52). For example, the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the operation target, by one stage.
[0106] 5. Operation of the Fourth Embodiment Next, a description will be given of the fourth embodiment. Note that the configuration of the vehicle 1 is the same as that of the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.
[0107] Similar to the vehicle 1 of the third embodiment, the vehicle 1 of the fourth embodiment also uses a single determination threshold value to determine operations on the touch panel 180 whether the vehicle 1 is stopped or moving.
[0108] Furthermore, when the vehicle 1 of the fourth embodiment detects an operation whose operation amount is greater than the judgment threshold while the vehicle 1 is in a traveling state, the setting of the operation target is changed after a preset time has elapsed since the detection of the operation. In this fourth embodiment, even if the occupant inputs an operation multiple times within a unit time, the setting is not changed until the preset time has elapsed, thereby increasing the reliability of the setting.
[0109] The operation of ECU 200 according to the fourth embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in Fig. 12. The flowchart in Fig. 12 shows a continuation of the operation shown in the flowchart in Fig. 10. That is, if the determination in step S43 of the flowchart shown in Fig. 10 is negative, ECU 200 executes the operation according to the flowchart shown in Fig. 12. The operation of ECU 200 according to the flowchart in Fig. 10 has already been described, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0110] First, the ECU 200 determines whether or not an operation on the touch panel 180 has been detected by the touch sensor 183 (step S61). If an operation on the touch panel 180 has not been detected (step S61 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0111] Furthermore, when an operation on the touch panel 180 is detected (step S61 / YES), the ECU 200 determines whether the amount of the detected operation is greater than a determination threshold value (step S62).
[0112] If the amount of the detected operation is equal to or less than the determination threshold (step S62 / NO), the ECU 200 acquires the state information again (step S42) and determines whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state (step S43).
[0113] If the amount of the detected operation is greater than the determination threshold (YES in step S62), the ECU 200 determines whether the time elapsed since the operation was detected is equal to or greater than a set time (step S63). If the set time has not elapsed since the operation was detected (NO in step S63), the ECU 200 waits until the time elapsed since the operation was detected is equal to or greater than the set time.
[0114] Furthermore, if the time elapsed since the operation was detected is equal to or longer than the set time (step S63 / YES), the ECU 200 changes the setting of the operation target (step S64). For example, the ECU 200 changes the elasticity of the suspension 170, which is the operation target, by one stage.
[0115] 13 is a diagram showing the configuration of an operation unit according to a fifth embodiment. In the first to fourth embodiments described above, the operation unit is a touch panel 180. In the fifth embodiment, a configuration will be described in which a scroll wheel 191 is used instead of the touch panel 180 as an operation unit 190 that allows the same operations as those described in the first to fourth embodiments. The operation unit 190 includes the scroll wheel 191, which is a rotary operator that is rotated by the occupant, and a rotation amount detection unit 193 that detects the direction and amount of rotation of the scroll wheel 191. The operation unit 190 also includes a tactile stimulus imparting unit 195 that imparts a tactile stimulus, such as a vibration, to the fingers of the occupant operating the scroll wheel 191.
[0116] The rotation amount detection unit 193 outputs information indicating the detected rotation direction and rotation amount of the scroll wheel 191 to the ECU 200. The tactile stimulus imparting unit 195 imparts vibration to the finger of the occupant operating the scroll wheel 191 in response to an instruction from the ECU 200.
[0117] When the vehicle is stopped, ECU 200 causes tactile stimulus imparting unit 195 to impart a tactile stimulus each time the amount of rotation detected by rotation amount detecting unit 193 becomes a predetermined first operation amount. Furthermore, when vehicle 1 is traveling, ECU 200 causes tactile stimulus imparting unit 195 to impart a tactile stimulus each time the amount of rotation detected by rotation amount detecting unit 193 becomes a predetermined second operation amount different from the first operation amount.
[0118] The first operation amount is, for example, an operation amount equal to or greater than a determination threshold corresponding to a stopped state, and the second operation amount is, for example, an operation amount equal to or greater than a determination threshold corresponding to a traveling state. This allows the occupant to be notified of the operation amount determined to be the first operation whether the vehicle 1 is in a stopped state or a traveling state, and allows the occupant to reliably perform the operation.
[0119] The above-described embodiment is a preferred embodiment. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, the functional units of the vehicle 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 indicate functional configurations, and the specific implementation form is not particularly limited. In other words, it is not necessary to implement hardware corresponding to each functional unit individually. Of course, it is also possible to implement a configuration in which one or more processors execute programs to realize the functions of multiple functional units. Furthermore, some of the functions realized by software in the above-described embodiment may be realized by hardware, and some of the functions realized by hardware may be realized by software.
[0120] The processing units in the flowcharts shown in Figures 6, 7, and 9 to 12 are divided according to the main processing content to make the processing of the ECU 200 easier to understand. The present invention is not limited by the manner in which the processing units are divided or the names of the processing units shown in the flowcharts shown in Figures 6, 7, and 9 to 12. Furthermore, the processing of the ECU 200 can be divided into more processing units depending on the processing content, or one processing unit can be divided so that it includes more processes. Furthermore, the processing order of the above flowcharts is not limited to the example shown in the figures.
[0121] (Configurations Supported by the Above-described Embodiments) The above-described embodiments are specific examples of the following configurations.
[0122] (Configuration 1) A vehicle comprising: an acquisition unit (251) that acquires status information indicating the status of a vehicle (1); an operation unit (180) that accepts operations; and a setting change unit (253) that changes settings of an operation target based on the operation accepted by the operation unit (180), wherein the setting change unit (253) changes the relationship between the amount of operation accepted by the operation unit (180) and the degree of change to change the settings of the operation target based on the status information acquired by the acquisition unit (251).
[0123] According to this configuration, the relationship between the amount of operation received by the operating unit (180) and the degree of change to the setting of the operation target is changed based on the state information indicating the state of the vehicle (1) acquired by the acquiring unit (251). Therefore, the setting of the operation target can be changed to the setting intended by the occupant according to the vehicle state by the operation performed by the occupant.
[0124] (Configuration 2) The vehicle according to Configuration 1, wherein the setting change unit (253) determines the operation accepted by the operation unit (180) based on an amount of operation accepted by the operation unit (180) and a determination threshold value corresponding to the state information acquired by the acquisition unit (251), and changes the setting of the operation target to a degree of change corresponding to the determined operation.
[0125] According to this configuration, the operation accepted by the operating unit (180) is determined using a determination threshold value corresponding to the state information acquired by the acquisition unit (251). For example, when the vehicle (1) is in a running state, it may be more difficult to perform delicate operations on the operating unit compared to when the vehicle (1) is stopped. Therefore, by determining the operation using a determination threshold value corresponding to the state of the vehicle (1), the accuracy of operation determination can be improved, and the operation intended by the user can be accepted with high accuracy.
[0126] (Configuration 3) The vehicle according to Configuration 2, wherein the state of the vehicle (1) indicated by the state information includes a stopped state in which the vehicle (1) is stopped and a running state in which the vehicle (1) is running, and the determination threshold value corresponding to the running state is greater than the determination threshold value corresponding to the stopped state.
[0127] According to this configuration, when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state, an operation is determined using a determination threshold value that is larger than when the vehicle (1) is in a stopped state. Therefore, even when the vehicle (1) is traveling and it is difficult for the occupant to perform delicate operations compared to when the vehicle (1) is stopped, the accuracy of operation determination can be improved and the operation intended by the user can be received with high accuracy.
[0128] (Configuration 4) The vehicle according to Configuration 2, wherein the state of the vehicle (1) indicated by the state information includes at least one of a normal driving mode in which the vehicle (1) is driven in accordance with accelerator and brake operations by an occupant of the vehicle (1), a constant speed driving mode in which the vehicle (1) is driven at a predetermined speed, and a traffic jam following mode in which the vehicle (1) is driven to follow a preceding vehicle ahead of the vehicle (1) on a congested road, and wherein the judgment threshold value corresponding to the traffic jam following mode or the constant speed driving mode is smaller than the judgment threshold value corresponding to the normal driving mode.
[0129] According to this configuration, the judgment threshold value corresponding to the congestion following mode or the constant speed driving mode is smaller than the judgment threshold value corresponding to the normal driving mode. Therefore, the operation performed by the occupant can be determined using the judgment threshold value corresponding to the driving mode of the vehicle (1), and the operation intended by the user can be accurately received.
[0130] (Configuration 5) A vehicle according to any one of configurations 2 to 4, further comprising a display unit (33) that displays settings related to a function provided in the vehicle (1) that is the object of operation, and the setting change unit (253) changes the settings related to the function when the amount of operation received by the operation unit (180) is greater than the judgment threshold value corresponding to the state of the vehicle (1) indicated by the state information.
[0131] According to this configuration, the operation accepted by the operation unit (180) can be determined using a determination threshold corresponding to the state information, and the settings related to the functions of the vehicle (1) can be changed.
[0132] (Configuration 6) The vehicle according to Configuration 2, wherein the states of the vehicle (1) indicated by the state information include a stopped state in which the vehicle (1) is stopped and a running state in which the vehicle (1) is running, the operation unit (180) has an operation surface (181) and detects an operation direction of a touch operation on the operation surface (181), the setting change unit (253) limits operation directions to be compared with the judgment threshold value among the operation directions detected by the operation unit (180), and the number of the operation directions limited when the vehicle (1) is in the running state is greater than the number of the operation directions limited when the vehicle (1) is in the stopped state.
[0133] According to this configuration, among the operation directions of the touch operation detected by the operation unit (180), the operation directions to be compared with the judgment threshold are limited. Also, the number of operation directions to be limited when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state is greater than the number of operation directions to be limited when the vehicle (1) is in a stopped state. Therefore, by increasing the number of operation directions to be compared with the judgment threshold when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state, it is possible to improve the accuracy of the judgment of the operation when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state.
[0134] (Configuration 7) The vehicle according to any one of Configurations 2 to 6, wherein the operation unit (180) includes an operator (191) operated by an occupant of the vehicle (1), and the states of the vehicle (1) indicated by the state information include a stopped state in which the vehicle (1) is stopped and a running state in which the vehicle (1) is running, and the vehicle (1) includes a tactile stimulus imparting unit (195) that imparts a tactile stimulus to a finger of the occupant that contacts the operator (191), and the setting change unit (253) causes the tactile stimulus imparting unit (195) to impart the tactile stimulus each time the operation unit (180) accepts an operation of a first operation amount when the vehicle (1) is in the stopped state, and causes the tactile stimulus imparting unit (195) to impart the tactile stimulus each time the operation unit (180) accepts an operation of a second operation amount different from the first operation amount when the vehicle (1) is in the running state.
[0135] According to this configuration, when the vehicle (1) is in a stopped state, a tactile stimulus can be imparted to the occupant's finger each time the operating unit (180) receives an operation of the first operation amount. Also, when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state, a tactile stimulus can be imparted to the occupant's finger each time the operating unit (180) receives an operation of the second operation amount. Therefore, a tactile stimulus serving as a guide for operation can be provided to the occupant both when the vehicle (1) is in a stopped state and when the vehicle (1) is in a traveling state.
[0136] (Configuration 8) The vehicle according to Configuration 7, wherein the first operation amount is an operation amount received by the operation unit (180) that is equal to or greater than the determination threshold corresponding to the stopped state, and the second operation amount is an operation amount received by the operation unit (180) that is equal to or greater than the determination threshold corresponding to the traveling state, and the first operation amount is smaller than the second operation amount.
[0137] According to this configuration, by providing a tactile stimulus to the occupant's fingers each time the operating unit (180) receives an amount of operation corresponding to one operation, it becomes easier for the occupant to perform operations in accordance with the state of the vehicle.
[0138] (Configuration 8) The vehicle according to any one of configurations 1 to 8, wherein the operation unit (180) is provided as one of handlebar switches on a handlebar of the vehicle (1) and includes a touch panel that detects a touch operation.
[0139] According to this configuration, operations can be input by touching the touch panel (180), and the number of parts of the handlebar switch can be reduced, thereby improving ease of operation.
[0140] (Configuration 9) The vehicle according to any one of configurations 1 to 8, wherein the operation unit (180) is a scroll wheel (191) provided as one of handlebar switches on a handlebar of the vehicle (1).
[0141] According to this configuration, input is possible by operating the scroll wheel (191), and the number of parts of the handle switch is reduced, thereby improving ease of operation.
