Abstract
Description
Golf ball inspection device
[0001] The present invention relates to a golf ball inspection device, and more particularly, to a golf ball inspection device capable of continuously inspecting a plurality of golf balls and classifying them according to their quality.
[0002]
[0003] Defects in golf balls can include core eccentricity, internal media imbalance, and damage to the outer shell. Defects like outer shell damage can be detected visually or tactilely by the inspector, or through image analysis after video recording. However, internal defects caused by core eccentricity or internal media imbalance are not easily identified.
[0004] One way to detect internal defects is to float a golf ball in a liquid mixture of salt water and surfactant, but this detection method is cumbersome and time-consuming, making it unsuitable for mass production.
[0005] In this regard, the applicant has developed a golf ball inspection device that can easily detect not only damage to the outer shell but also internal defects of a golf ball by transmitting electromagnetic waves to a golf ball, receiving the electromagnetic waves passing through the golf ball, and analyzing the magnitude and phase of the transmitted waveform.
[0006] However, the golf ball inspection device initially developed by the applicant only implemented the function of detecting defects in golf balls using electromagnetic waves, and in order to be applied to the inspection line of an actual golf ball manufacturer and inspect a large number of golf balls, additional functions such as supplying, transporting, and classifying golf balls are required.
[0007] The prior art is technical information that the inventor possessed for the purpose of deriving the present invention or acquired in the process of deriving the present invention, and cannot necessarily be said to be publicly known technology disclosed to the general public prior to the application for the present invention.

[0088] The above frame (10) is configured to provide an installation surface on which the supply unit (20), the transport unit (30), the inspection unit (40), and the classification and storage unit (50) are installed.
[0089] The above installation surface is divided into a main installation surface (11) and a sub-installation surface (13), and the frame (10) includes a plurality of skeletal members (12) that support the main installation surface (11) and the sub-installation surface (13).
[0090] More specifically, the frame (10) includes the main installation surface (11) that is horizontal to the ground and the skeletal members (12) for supporting it. In addition, the frame (10) includes the sub-installation surface (13) that is interposed at a higher position than the main installation surface (11) on the side of the main installation surface (11) and that is horizontal to the ground and the skeletal members (12) for supporting it.
[0091] The transfer unit (30), the inspection unit (40) and the classification and storage unit (50) are installed on the upper part of the main installation surface (11), and the supply unit (20) is installed on the upper part of the sub-installation surface (13).
[0092] A portion of the classification storage unit (50) and the control unit (60) are installed at the lower part of the above main installation surface (11).
[0093] In addition, although not shown, a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped space may be formed by the skeletal members (12) in the upper portion of the main installation surface (11), as in the lower portion, and doors may be installed on each outer edge of the space. That is, an installation space distinct from the outside may be formed in each of the upper and lower portions of the main installation surface (11), and the installation space may be configured to be opened and closed in a required direction by the door.
[0094] In addition, the frame (10) may be configured to have a plurality of wheels (14) at the bottom so as to easily move the golf ball inspection device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
[0095] The above supply unit (20) is configured to store a number of golf balls and supply the golf balls to the standby position support member (23).
[0096] The above supply unit (20) is installed on the upper surface of the above-described installation surface (13). The supply unit (20) is configured in a box shape with an open upper portion and includes a storage unit (21) capable of storing a plurality of golf balls, and a rotating member (22) having a substantially circular support ring (22a) provided at an end to support golf balls. The rotating member (22) is driven by a motor (not shown) provided inside the supply unit (20), and rotates outwardly from the supply unit (20) while a golf ball is placed on the support ring (22a), places the golf ball on the standby position support member (23), and then returns to the inside of the supply unit (20) repeatedly. In this case, a support pin (not shown) that can move inward and outward and supports the golf ball when protruding outward may be installed on the inner wall of the support ring (22a). The above-mentioned standby position support member (23) is a golf ball support member installed in the standby position before the golf ball is transferred to the inspection unit (40). The golf ball is first moved from the supply unit (20) to the standby position support member (23), and then secondarily moved to the inspection unit (40) by the transfer unit (30).
[0097] The above supply unit (20) may be a golf ball supply unit, which is a component of a commercially available tee-up device, but is not limited thereto and may be manufactured in various forms that implement the same function.
[0098] The operation control of the motor that supplies the golf ball to the standby position support member (23) by the supply unit (20) is performed by the control unit (60).
[0099] The above-mentioned transfer unit (30) is configured to transfer the golf balls in the above-mentioned standby position support member (23) to the above-mentioned inspection unit (40), and when the inspection is completed, transfer the golf balls in the above-mentioned inspection unit (40) to the classification and storage unit.
[0100] The above-described transfer unit (30) includes a column (31) fixed to the main installation surface (11), a first cylinder (32) installed at the top of the column (31) and operated in the left-right (X-axis) direction, a moving plate (33) connected to the cylinder rod end of the first cylinder (32) via a connecting member, a second cylinder (34a) and a third cylinder (34b) installed at each end of the moving plate (33) and operated in the up-and-down (Z-axis) direction, and a first suction unit (35a) and a second suction unit (35b) installed at the lower ends of the cylinder rods of the second cylinder (34a) and the third cylinder (34b), respectively (see FIG. 3).
[0101] In addition, the transfer unit (30) is provided with an extension member (36) that protrudes and extends from the top of the column (31) toward the sorting and storage unit (50), and a chute (37) is provided at the end of the extension member (36) to receive golf balls transferred from the second suction unit (35b) and drop them into the sorting and storage unit (50). The chute (37) has an inclined surface (37a) formed at the bottom, and the inclined surface (37a) is formed to be inclined in a shape that allows golf balls to roll toward the sorting and storage unit (50) and drop.
[0102] The first cylinder (32) moves the moving plate (33) left and right, thereby moving the second cylinder (34a) and the third cylinder (34b) installed at both ends of the moving plate (33) left and right. Accordingly, the second cylinder (34a) can move between the upper part of the standby position support member (23) and the upper part of the inspection unit (40) (the upper part of the golf ball inspection position), and the third cylinder (34b) can move between the upper part of the inspection unit (40) and the upper part of the chute (37).
[0103] Although not shown, the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention may further include a pneumatic line for operating the first cylinder (32), the second cylinder (34a), and the third cylinder (34b), a vacuum line for operating the first suction part (35a) and the second suction part (35b), and a plurality of electronic control valves (solenoid valves) installed in the pneumatic line and the vacuum line to control the operation of the cylinder and the suction part. The plurality of electronic control valves are controlled for operation by the control part (60).
[0104] The above transfer unit (30) may have a sensor mounting unit (38) installed horizontally on one side of the column (31), and a golf ball detection sensor (39) that detects a golf ball placed on the upper part of the standby position support member (23) may be installed at the end of the sensor mounting unit (38).
[0105] More specifically, a horizontal sensor mounting portion (38) is installed at the same height as the top of the standby position support member (23) on the column (31), and a golf ball detection sensor (39) that detects a golf ball placed on the standby position support member (23) can be installed at the end of the sensor mounting portion (38). The golf ball detection sensor (39) transmits a golf ball detection signal to the control unit (60).
[0106] The above control unit (60) controls the operation of the transfer unit (30) in the following manner. When a golf ball placed on the standby position support member (23) is detected by the golf ball detection sensor (39), the control unit (60) controls the first suction unit (35a) to be lowered by the second cylinder (34a) to absorb the golf ball. Then, when the golf ball is absorbed by the first suction unit (35a), the control unit (60) raises the first suction unit (35a) by the second cylinder (34a). Then, the control unit (60) moves the moving plate (33) to the right (based on FIG. 3) by the first cylinder (32) so that the second cylinder (34a) moves to the upper part of the inspection unit (40). Next, the control unit (60) lowers the first suction part (35a) by the second cylinder (34a) and then controls the first suction part (35a) to place the golf ball at the inspection position of the inspection part (40) (the area between the three support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c) of FIG. 6, to be described later). Next, the control unit (60) raises the first suction part (35a) by the second cylinder (34a) and controls the moving plate (33) to return to the original position by the first cylinder (32). Immediately after this control, the third cylinder (34b) is positioned above the inspection part (40).
[0107] When the golf ball inspection by the inspection unit (40) is completed, the control unit (60) lowers the second suction unit (35b) by the third cylinder (34b) to absorb the golf ball, and then raises the second suction unit (35b) again by the third cylinder (34b). Next, the control unit (60) moves the moving plate (33) toward the chute (37) by the first cylinder (32), and in that state, removes the vacuum pressure of the second suction unit (35b), thereby controlling the golf ball to fall onto the inclined surface (37a) of the chute (37) and then roll along the inclined surface (37a). At this time, the golf ball is configured to fall and be stored in a location corresponding to the classification grade according to the inspection result among the plurality of storage boxes (53) of the classification and storage unit (50). Next, the control unit (60) controls the moving plate (33) to return to its original position by the first cylinder (32) after the golf ball falls from the second suction unit (35b). Immediately after this control, the second cylinder (34a) and the third cylinder (34b) are each in their initial positions before the golf ball inspection (state of FIG. 3).
[0108] The above inspection unit (40) is configured to perform an electromagnetic wave penetration inspection on a golf ball.
[0109] The above inspection unit (40) includes a support, the support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c), a transmitting antenna (46a), and a receiving antenna (46b) (see FIGS. 6 and 7). FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrate a state in which the outer cover plate (not shown in the drawing) of the inspection unit (40) has been removed.
[0110] The above support is installed at approximately the center portion of the main installation surface (11). The support includes a base support (41) that is installed long in the front-back (Y-axis) direction, and a center support (42) that is installed higher than the base support (41) at the center portion of the base support (41). The transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) are installed on the base support (41) so as to be able to move back and forth (Y-axis direction), and the support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c) are installed on the center support (42) so as to be able to rotate. The upper surfaces of each of the base support (41) and the center support (42) can be horizontal to the ground.
[0111] That is, the inspection unit (40) includes the base support (41) installed long in the front-back direction on the main installation surface (11), the center support (42) installed higher than the base support (41) at the center portion of the base support (41), three support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c) rotatably installed on the center support (42) to support a golf ball, the transmitting antenna (46a) that transmits electromagnetic waves to the golf ball placed on the supporting wheels (43a, 43b, 43c), and the receiving antenna (46b) that is arranged on the opposite side of the transmitting antenna (46a) with respect to the golf ball and receives electromagnetic waves that have passed through the golf ball.
[0112] The above support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c) are installed to be rotatable via a rotation axis on each wheel support member (44a, 44b, 44c), and the wheel support members (44a, 44b, 44c) are fixedly installed on the upper surface of the center support member (42).
[0113] The above support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c) support three points of the golf ball on the upper side of the center support (42) to stably position the golf ball at the inspection position. In addition, among the support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c), the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b) are installed such that their respective rotation axes are orthogonal to each other so that the golf ball can be rotated in all directions by adjusting the amount of rotation. Therefore, the golf ball inspection device according to the embodiment of the present invention is configured to be able to inspect the entire range of the golf ball by changing the posture so that all surfaces of the golf ball face the transmission antenna (46a).
[0114] Among the above support wheels, the third support wheel (43c) is a simple rotation wheel that is not driven by a motor and is installed at the center opposite to the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b) (the angle between the first support wheel (43a) and the third support wheel (43c) and the angle between the second support wheel (43b) and the third support wheel (43c) are the same) to stably support the golf ball together with the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b).
[0115] Among the support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c), the rotation axes of the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b) are configured to be rotatable by being connected to motors (45a, 45b), respectively. That is, the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b) are configured to control the rotation amounts of the motors (45a, 45b) by the control unit (60). The operation control of the motors (45a, 45b) can be performed as pre-programmed by the control unit (60). Therefore, the control unit (60) can be configured to appropriately control the rotation amounts of the first support wheel (43a) and the second support wheel (43b) so as to rotate the golf ball over the entire range with respect to the transmission antenna (46a), thereby inspecting the entire range of the golf ball.
[0116] The above transmitting antenna (46a) and the above receiving antenna (46b) are installed on both sides of the golf ball support position by the above supporting wheel (43a, 43b, 43c). The above transmitting antenna (46a) and the above receiving antenna (46b) are arranged on both sides of a straight line with the golf ball as the center, so that the above transmitting antenna (46a) transmits electromagnetic waves to the golf ball, and the above receiving antenna (46b) receives electromagnetic waves that have passed through the golf ball. The electromagnetic waves received by the above receiving antenna (46b) are transmitted to the above control unit (60), and the magnitude and phase change of the waveform are analyzed.
[0117] The above transmitting antenna (46a) and the above receiving antenna (46b) are each installed on one upper side of the antenna installation plates (47a, 47b) arranged in the front-back (Y-axis) direction of the center support (42).
[0118] The above antenna installation plates (47a, 47b) are installed on the base support (41) so that their positions in the front and rear directions can be adjusted via the antenna position adjustment unit (48).
[0119] The antenna position adjustment unit (48) is a linear movement mechanism using a screw bar. The antenna position adjustment unit (48) includes a fixed unit (48a) fixed to the base support (41), a moving unit (48b) installed so as to be linearly movable horizontally (front-backward in FIGS. 1 to 8) with respect to the fixed unit (48a) and having the antenna installation plate (47a, 47b) mounted on one end thereof, a screw bar (not shown) installed between the fixed unit (48a) and the moving unit (48b) and screw-connected to the moving unit (48b), and a handle (48c) formed at an end of the screw bar.
[0120] Accordingly, the inspector can rotate the handle (48c) to cause the moving part (48b) screw-connected to the screw bar to move forward or backward (movement in the Y-axis direction) with respect to the fixed part (48a), thereby allowing the antenna installation plate (47a, 47b) integral with the moving part (48b) to move linearly in the front-back direction (Y-axis direction). Accordingly, the inspector can adjust the positions of the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) with respect to the golf ball by rotating the handle (48c), thereby positioning the transmitting antenna (46a) so that it can accurately irradiate electromagnetic waves or positioning the receiving antenna (46b) so that it can more accurately receive electromagnetic waves transmitted through the golf ball, thereby improving the accuracy of golf ball inspection.
[0121] The above classification storage unit (50) is configured to classify and store golf balls transferred from the inspection unit (40) by the transfer unit (30) according to quality grade.
[0122] The above classification and storage unit (50) is installed on one side of the inspection unit (40) (the opposite side of the supply unit (20)) on the main installation surface (11). The above classification and storage unit (50) is arranged on the lower side of the chute (37) provided at the rear end of the transfer unit (30) on the main installation surface (11) so as to be able to classify and store golf balls falling from the chute (37).
[0123] The above classification storage unit (50) includes a forward-backward moving plate (51) installed so as to be movable in the forward-backward direction on the main installation surface (11), a left-right moving plate (52) installed so as to be movable in the left-right direction on the forward-backward moving plate (51), and a plurality of storage boxes (53) arranged in the forward-backward and left-right linear directions on the left-right moving plate (52).
[0124] The above forward-backward movement plate (51) is installed so as to be able to move linearly in the forward-backward direction along the first guide rail (51a) installed in the forward-backward direction (Y-axis direction) on the main installation surface (11). A fourth cylinder (51b) is installed on the lower surface of the main installation surface (11) to move the forward-backward movement plate (51) in the forward-backward direction. That is, the forward-backward movement plate (51) is connected to and operated by the fourth cylinder (51b) installed on the lower portion of the main installation surface (11).
[0125] The cylinder rod of the fourth cylinder (51b) is connected to the forward-backward moving plate (51) via a connecting member through a through hole formed long in the forward-backward direction on the main installation surface (11). Therefore, the control unit (60) can control the operation of the fourth cylinder (51b) to adjust the forward-backward position of the forward-backward moving plate (51).
[0126] The above left-right movement plate (52) is installed so as to be able to move linearly in the left-right direction along the second guide rail (52a) installed in the left-right direction (X-axis direction) on the upper surface of the above forward-backward movement plate (51). A fifth cylinder (52b) for moving the above left-right movement plate (52) in the left-right direction is installed on the upper surface of the above forward-backward movement plate (51). That is, the above left-right movement plate (52) is connected to and operated by the above fifth cylinder (52b) installed on the above forward-backward movement plate (51).
[0127] The cylinder rod of the fifth cylinder (52b) is connected to one end of the left-right moving plate (52) via a connecting member. Therefore, the control unit (60) can control the operation of the fifth cylinder (52b) to adjust the left-right position of the left-right moving plate (52).
[0128] The above storage boxes (53) are provided in multiple numbers on the upper surface of the left-right moving plate (52). The multiple storage boxes (53) are arranged in multiple numbers on the same straight line in the front-back and left-right directions on the upper surface of the left-right moving plate (52) and are installed in close proximity to each other. This installation structure helps to facilitate and accurately sort and store golf balls and to increase the capacity of the storage boxes (53).
[0129] Position adjustment of the above storage boxes (53), i.e., position movement toward the lower side of the chute (37), is possible by controlling the operation of the fourth cylinder (51b) and the fifth cylinder (52b) to adjust the positions of the forward / backward moving plate (51) and the left / right moving plate (52), and the operation control of the fourth cylinder (51b) and the fifth cylinder (52b) is performed by the control unit (60).
[0130] Meanwhile, in the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the first cylinder (32), the second cylinder (34a), the third cylinder (34b), the fourth cylinder (51b), and the fifth cylinder (52b) do not require a large force, so it is preferable to use pneumatic cylinders. In addition, the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention may be equipped with an air compressor and an air tank for supplying operating pressure to each of the cylinders (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b). The above air tank and each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) are connected by hoses, and a plurality of electronic control valves (solenoid valves) for supplying and discharging operating pressure of each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) may be installed in the hose connection portion of each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) or in the flow control module to which a plurality of hoses are connected. The control unit (60) controls the operation of each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) by controlling the electronic control valves.
[0131] Accordingly, the control unit (60) can know the operating status of each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) according to the operating status of the electronic control valves, and can identify the positions of the components moved by each cylinder (32, 34a, 34b, 51b, 52b) accordingly. It goes without saying that the golf ball inspection device according to the embodiment of the present invention can install a detection sensor that detects the corresponding component at the moving path or stop position of each moving component in order to directly and more accurately determine the positions of each moving component.
[0132] The above control unit (60) controls the operation of the supply unit (20), the transport unit (30), the inspection unit (40), and the classification and storage unit (50), and is configured to analyze the waveform of the electromagnetic wave transmitted through the golf ball received from the inspection unit (40) to determine the quality grade of the golf ball.
[0133] The above control unit (60) is an electronic control unit that controls the overall operation of the golf ball inspection device according to the present invention and can be installed on the lower surface of the main installation surface (11). However, the installation location shown is merely an example and it goes without saying that it can be installed anywhere in the lower space of the main installation surface (11).
[0134] The above control unit (60) may include one or more printed circuit boards (PCBs) on which electronic components for performing necessary functions are mounted, and may further include power and data input / output ports.
[0135] In addition, the control unit (60) may include a program for controlling the operation of the supply unit (20), the transport unit (30), the inspection unit (40), and the classification and storage unit (50) individually and in conjunction with each other. That is, the control unit (60) may have a control command installed as a machine control program.
[0136] In addition, the control unit (60) includes a quality determination program that inspects the golf ball by analyzing the size and / or phase of the electromagnetic waves transmitted through the golf ball from the inspection unit (40), and determines the quality grade of the golf ball based on the inspection results and pre-established quality standards.
[0137] The above control unit (60) operates the supply unit (20) again when the transfer unit (30) transfers the golf ball from the inspection unit (40) to the classification unit (50) and returns to the initial state (state of FIG. 3). The supply unit (20) operates the rotation member (22) to place the golf ball on top of the standby position support member (23).
[0138] The above control unit (60) operates the transfer unit (30) to transfer the golf ball to the inspection position of the inspection unit (40) when the golf ball detection sensor (39) detects that a golf ball has been placed on the standby position support member (23). The specific operation of the transfer unit (30) has been described above, so a duplicate description will be omitted.
[0139] The above control unit (60) operates the inspection unit (40) to perform golf ball inspection when the golf ball is transferred to the inspection position of the inspection unit (40). That is, the control unit (60) transmits and receives electromagnetic waves using the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) to determine the size and phase of the electromagnetic waves transmitted through the golf ball. At this time, the operation of the motors (45a, 45b) may be controlled to perform inspection over the entire range of the golf ball, and the uniformity of the size and phase of the received electromagnetic waves may be determined so that the better the uniformity, the better the quality of the golf ball.
[0140] At this time, the quality grade of the golf ball can be classified into multiple grades based on several criteria for quality judgment, namely, the degree of eccentricity of the core, the degree of imbalance of the internal medium, and the degree of damage to the outer shell, and the same number of storage boxes (53) as the number of grades can be provided.
[0141] When the inspection of the golf ball by the inspection unit (40) is completed (the golf ball quality grade is determined), the control unit (60) operates the classification and storage unit (50) before transporting the golf ball to the transport unit (30) to move the location corresponding to the grade of the currently inspected golf ball to the lower part of the chute (37). As described above regarding the control unit (60) controlling the operation of the fourth cylinder (51b) and the fifth cylinder (52b) to move a specific storage box (53) to the lower part of the chute (37), a duplicate description thereof will be omitted.
[0142] The above control unit (60) moves the specific storage box (53) to the golf ball drop position (lower part of the chute (37)) according to the quality grade of the golf ball as described above, and then operates the transfer unit (30) to transfer the golf ball from the inspection unit (40) to the classification and storage unit (50). The control unit (60) controls the operation of the first cylinder (32), the third cylinder (34b), and the second suction unit (35b) to drop the golf ball from the inspection unit (40) to the chute (37) and transfer it to the classification and storage unit (50), and therefore, a duplicate description thereof will be omitted.
[0143] When the classification and storage of the golf balls for the corresponding inspection round is completed (more precisely, the transport section (30) transfers the golf balls to the classification and storage section (50) and returns to the initial state), the control section (60) operates the supply section (20) to prepare for the next round of golf ball inspection, and by repeating this process, inspection can be performed on a plurality of golf balls stored in the supply section (20).
[0144] As described above, the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention further includes not only the inspection unit (40) that inspects a golf ball using electromagnetic waves in one frame (10), but also the supply unit (20) that supplies golf balls to an inspection standby location, a transport unit (30) that transports golf balls from the inspection standby location to the inspection location and also transports inspected golf balls to the sorting and storage unit (50), the sorting and storage unit (50) that sorts and stores golf balls according to quality grade, and the control unit (60) that comprehensively controls the operation of each of the above components, thereby enabling easy installation and application to an inspection line of an actual golf ball manufacturer and enabling automatic inspection and classification of a large number of golf balls. In addition, the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention can of course also be usefully used to select and remove defective golf balls in golf courses, golf practice ranges, etc.
[0145] Meanwhile, the golf ball inspection device according to the present invention can accurately determine the internal structure of a golf ball through the above-described electromagnetic wave penetration inspection, and thus can be utilized to classify golf balls by brand or classify them as official or unofficial balls. The official balls refer to golf balls that have been certified by the United States Golf Association (USGA) or the Royal & Ancient Golf Club (R&A) and can be used in official competitions.
[0146] In order to implement this function, the control unit (60) is configured to input analysis data obtained by performing an electromagnetic wave penetration test on golf balls by brand as classification reference data, and to include a quality determination program that compares analysis data obtained by inspecting a golf ball in the inspection unit (40) with the classification reference data to determine the brand of the corresponding golf ball, and to classify the inspected golf balls by brand and store them in the classification storage unit (50).
[0147] In addition, the control unit (60) includes a quality determination program that inputs analysis data obtained by performing an electromagnetic wave transmission test on an official golf ball as classification reference data, compares analysis data obtained by inspecting a golf ball in the inspection unit (40) with the classification reference data, and determines whether the golf ball is an official golf ball, and is configured to classify inspected golf balls into official and non-official balls and store them in the classification storage unit (50).
[0148] That is, the quality determination program of the control unit (60) may be a program that inputs analysis data obtained by performing an electromagnetic wave transmission test on golf balls by brand in advance and analysis data obtained by performing an electromagnetic wave transmission test on official balls as classification reference data, and compares analysis data obtained during actual golf ball inspection with the previously input classification reference data to determine the brand and whether the golf ball is an official ball.
[0149] Accordingly, the control unit (60) can use the quality determination program to determine the brand of the golf ball to be inspected and whether it is an official ball.
[0150] More specifically, the control unit (60) controls the operation of the classification storage unit (50) to classify golf balls that have been inspected by brand and store them in the classification storage unit (50). At this time, the control unit (60) may be configured to classify and store balls of a specific brand and balls that are not of a specific brand within an equal range.
[0151] Meanwhile, the control unit (60) controls the operation of the classification storage unit (50) to classify golf balls that have been inspected into official or non-official balls and store them in the classification storage unit (50).
[0152]
[0153] FIG. 9 is a perspective view illustrating another embodiment of an inspection unit, which is a component of a golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0154] The inspection unit (40) of the golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention can be implemented in a form as shown in FIG. 9. Referring to FIG. 9, the inspection unit (40) is characterized in that it has a cross-shaped base support (41') so that not only the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) in the front-back (X-axis) direction of the golf ball, but also the transmitting antenna (46a') and the receiving antenna (46b') are installed in the left-right (Y-axis) direction of the golf ball. A detailed description of the overlapping portions described above will be omitted.
[0155] The above base support (41') has a cross shape with the same left-right parts additionally formed on the existing front-back support. The cross-shaped base support (41') has the center support (42) installed at its center position.
[0156] A circular tubular golf ball support member (42a) is installed in the center of the above-mentioned center support member (42) so that a golf ball can be placed thereon. A golf ball transferred from the standby position support member (23) to the inspection unit (40) is placed on the golf ball support member (42a).
[0157] The antenna installation plates (47a, 47b) are installed at the front-back end of the base support (41') so that the front-back position can be adjusted via the antenna position adjustment part (48), and the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) are installed on each of the antenna installation plates (47a, 47b).
[0158] In addition, antenna installation plates (47a', 47b') are installed on the left and right ends of the base support (41') to enable left and right position adjustment via an antenna position adjustment part (48'), and the transmitting antenna (46a') and the receiving antenna (46b') are installed on each of the antenna installation plates (47a', 47b').
[0159] In summary, the inspection unit (40) includes a cross-shaped base support (41') installed on the main installation surface (11), a center support (42) installed at a higher position than the base support (41') in the center portion of the base support (41'), a golf ball support member (42a) installed on the center support (42) to support a golf ball, the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) arranged in the front-back direction of the golf ball, and the transmitting antenna (46a') and the receiving antenna (46b') arranged in the left-right direction of the golf ball. At this time, the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) arranged in the front-back direction of the golf ball are configured such that the front-back position can be adjusted via the antenna position adjusting unit (48) in the front-back direction of the center support (42), and the antenna installation plate (47a, The transmitting antenna (46a') and the receiving antenna (46b') are respectively installed on the antenna installation plates (47a', 47b') installed on the base support (41') so that the left and right positions can be adjusted via the antenna position adjustment part (48') in the left and right directions of the center support (42).
[0160] In this structure, the electromagnetic waves that pass through the golf ball and are received by the two receiving antennas (46b, 46b') are transmitted to the control unit (60), and the magnitude and phase of each waveform are analyzed.
[0161] Since the transmission and reception paths of the electromagnetic waves are arranged orthogonal to each other due to the positions of the two antenna pairs ([46a and 46b], [46a' and 46b']), the electromagnetic waves penetrate the golf ball with an angle difference of 90°, and the control unit (60) compares and analyzes each transmitted waveform.
[0162] Accordingly, the control unit (60) can inspect the core eccentricity of the golf ball, the imbalance of the internal medium, damage to the outer shell, etc., without rotating the golf ball. In addition, the control unit (60) can more accurately determine the brand of the golf ball to be inspected and whether it is an official ball using two pieces of measurement data.
[0163] In addition, this structure eliminates the need to install means for rotating the golf ball on the center support (42) (the support wheels (43a, 43b, 43c), the wheel support members (44a, 44b, 44c), and the motor (45a, 45b)). Accordingly, there is no need to install a program for controlling the motors (45a, 45b) on the control unit (60).
[0164]
[0165] FIG. 10 is a side view illustrating another embodiment of an inspection unit, which is a component of a golf ball inspection device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0166] First, in the case of Fig. 9, if the golf ball has a specific defect shape, that is, if the core of the golf ball is not circular but has an elongated shape in the vertical direction (roughly a rugby ball shape), the defect cannot be detected. In other words, if two electromagnetic waves that are orthogonal to each other are transmitted horizontally through the golf ball without rotating the golf ball, the defect cannot be detected because there is no difference in the magnitude and phase of the two electromagnetic waves that transmitted the rugby ball shape as described above.
[0167] Accordingly, referring to FIG. 10, by installing one of the two antenna pairs (46a and 46b) ([46a and 46b], [46a' and 46b']) at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal (horizontal to the ground) state, the above-described specific type of defect can be detected.
[0168] That is, FIG. 10 illustrates an embodiment in which a pair of antennas (46a and 46b) arranged on both sides in the front-rear direction of a golf ball are installed at a predetermined angle relative to the horizontal plane. In order to install the pair of antennas (46a and 46b) at an angle in this way, one of the antenna installation plates (47a, 47b) on which the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) are respectively installed is provided with a downwardly inclined portion (47aa) at the end for looking down at the golf ball from above, and the other end for looking up at the golf ball is provided with an upwardly inclined portion (47bb) at the end for looking up at the golf ball from below.
[0169] At this time, more specifically, the transmitting antenna (46a) and the receiving antenna (46b) are installed on the facing surfaces of the downward slope portion (47aa) and the upward slope portion (47bb), respectively.
[0170] In this way, it is preferable that the transmission and reception path of electromagnetic waves by one of the two antenna pairs (46a' and 46b') among the antenna pairs arranged in the front-back direction of the golf ball and the antenna pairs arranged in the left-right direction of the golf ball, that is, the two antenna pairs ([46a and 46b], [46a' and 46b']) be configured to be inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane. At this time, the control unit (60) can detect a specific type of defect in which the core is formed to be elongated in the vertical direction because the magnitudes and phases of the electromagnetic waves received by the two receiving antennas (46b, 46b') are different from each other.
[0171]
[0172] As described above, the golf ball inspection device according to the present invention can be applied to the inspection lines of actual golf ball manufacturers, enabling the inspection and classification of a large number of golf balls. Furthermore, the golf ball inspection device according to the present invention can inspect golf balls using an electromagnetic wave transmission method without a golf ball rotation device, thereby enabling the detection of defects in the shape of the core, such as an elongated vertical shape, even in the absence of a golf ball rotation device.
[0173]
[0174] As described above, the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings. However, these are merely exemplary, and it should be understood that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible based on common knowledge in the art. Therefore, the true technical protection scope of the present invention is determined by the claims set forth below and based on the specific details of the invention described above.
