AI Technical Summary
Existing liquid crystal polyesters are difficult to meet higher flexural modulus requirements in applications, limiting their use in more detailed and diverse applications.
By introducing units containing ether bonds into the liquid crystal polyester, in particular, ether bond monomers with specific structures, such as 4-(4-hydroxyphenoxy)benzoic acid and 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl ester, their molecular structure is adjusted to increase their bending modulus.
The liquid crystal polyester has been improved in high bending modulus while maintaining good thermal stability and tensile strength, making it suitable for more detailed and diverse electronic components and other applications.

Also, according to the present disclosure, there is provided a liquid crystalline polyester composition and a molded article containing the liquid crystalline polyester.
[0009] Preferred embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below.
[0010] The liquid crystal polyester of this embodiment (hereinafter also simply referred to as "liquid crystal polyester") contains a monomer unit (I) derived from a monomer (i) having an ether bond.
