Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods and computer readable medium for a transmission enhancement. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, in a case that a boundary between a subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit and a non-SBFD time unit occurs during an uplink transmission associated with a de-modulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, the terminal device performs the uplink (UL) transmission by one of the following: i) determining that an actual time domain window (TDW) in a nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary, or ii) maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary. The nominal TDW is configured for the DMRS bundling and the SBFD slot is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions. In this way, the performance of transmission can be enhanced based on the SBFD mechanism.

Description

DEVICE, METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR COMMUNICATIONSFIELD

[0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to the field of communication, and in particular, to devices, methods and computer readable medium for transmission enhancement.BACKGROUND

[0002] With the development of communication technology, a time unit (for example, a symbol, slot, sub-frame, frame, and so on) can be divided into a plurality of frequency subbands in the frequency domain. The plurality of frequency subbands may be respectively used for different link directions, for example, uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) . This time unit may be also referred to as subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit. In turn, a device for communication (for example, a network device or a terminal device) may perform the simultaneous transmission and reception of channel in different link directions on these time units, in order to improve communication efficiency.

[0003] To achieve radio channel estimation, a concept of time domain window (TDW) has been introduced. During the TDW comprising multiple slots, the terminal device transmits uplink signal (for example, de-modulation reference signal, DMRS, for DMRS bundling) to the network device in a predefined criterion, so that the network device may estimate the channel state based on the received uplink signal. Furthermore, a transport block (TB) for data transmission can be transmitted across multiple slots, which may be also referred to as TB processing over multiple slots (TBoMS) . Accordingly, if the type of a slot is changed, the associated TDW and TBoMS may be affected.SUMMARY

[0044] The slot / symbol configured with SBFD communication or configuration may be also referred to as SBFD slot / symbol, and the slot / symbol not configured with SBFD communication may be also referred to as non-SBFD slot / symbol. The non-SBFD time unit may comprise UL slot / symbol and / or DL slot / symbol.

[0045] The term “resource” , “Physical Resource Block (PRB) or resource block” used  herein may refer to a resource base unit in the frequency domain.

[0046] The term “SBFD aware UE” used herein may refer to the terminal device which obtains the SBFD configuration for time units, for example, the subband division or location of the time units, and supports the SBFD operations with the network device.

[0047] In this disclosure, the terms “frequency subband” and “subband” can be used interchangeably without any limitation. In addition, the frequency subband configured for the uplink communication in the SBFD time unit may be also referred to be as “uplink (UL) subband” . In turn, the frequency subband configured for the downlink communication in the SBFD time unit may be also referred to be as “downlink (DL) subband” .

[0048] In this disclosure, the time unit may be any metric of the time domain. For example, the time unit may be a frame, a subframe, a slot, or a symbol. Without any limitation, the time unit may be any other time duration.

[0049] In this disclosure, the expression “frequency resources within a subband of the SBFD time unit” only refers that the resources are located within the subband with respect to the frequency domain, however, the time duration of the resources is unnecessary to be limited in the SBFD time unit.

[0050] In this disclosure, the time domain resource allocation (TDRA) list may indicate symbols for the downlink shared channel reception in at least one slot. The terms “TDRA list” and “TDRA table” can be interchangeably used in this disclosure.

[0051] In this disclosure, the term “frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) ” used herein may refer to a frequency resource configuration information which indicates frequency resources that are allocated to the terminal device or data / control channel.

[0052] In this disclosure, the terms “downlink (DL) shared channel” and “physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) ” can be used interchangeably. The terms “uplink (UL) control channel” and “physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) ” can be used interchangeably.

[0053] As mentioned above, since the TDW and TBoMS may include or cross multiple slots, the TDW and TBoMS may be affected if the type of a slot associated with the TDW and TBoMS is changed.

[0054] Specifically, during a nominal TDW, a terminal device tries to transmit DMRS (s) for enabled DMRS bundling by maintaining power consistency and phase continuity, except for one of certain events occurring. In this way, with the power consistency and phase  continuity, the network device may estimate the channel state based on unified conditions. In one implementation, the nominal TDW consists of one or more actual TDW, and the terminal device should maintain the power consistency and phase continuity in one actual TDW. In some cases, if the event which causes power consistency and phase continuity not to be maintained occurs, the terminal device may terminate the current actual TDW. Then, the terminal device may restart a new actual TDW (if enabled) in the nominal TDW after the event. In turn, with the SBFD mechanism being introduced, if the TDW for DMRS bundling encounters the SBFD time units, how to handle the TDW can be considered. In addition, if a downlink (DL) time unit is configured or indicated as a SBFD time unit, how to handle the TBoMS with respect to the SBFD time unit can be considered. Only for discussion purposes, examples of the above situations are shown in Figs. 1b and 1c.

[0055] In view of the above, the example embodiments of the disclosure propose a mechanism for transmission enhancement related to TBW. In this mechanism, in a case that a boundary between an SBFD time unit and a non-SBFD time unit occurs during an uplink (UL) transmission associated with the DMRS bundling, the terminal device performs the UL transmission by one of the following: i) determining that an actual TDW in a nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary, or ii) maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary.

[0056] In this way, the case of a switching from one of the SBFD time unit and a non-SBFD time unit to the other one can be considered as the event which causes power consistency and phase continuity not to be maintained. For example, the power control parameters for UL transmissions in different type of time units may be different. Alternatively, the actual TDW may be not affected by the above case, that is, the terminal device may transmit the DMRS by maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary. In addition, the downlink channel in the same SBFD time unit can be adjusted accordingly. As such, the SBFD mechanism can be coordinated with the DMRS bundling.

[0057] Furthermore, the example embodiments of the disclosure propose a mechanism for transmission enhancement related to TBoMS. In this mechanism, the terminal device determines whether a first set of frequency resources is within a UL subband of an SBFD time unit. The first set of frequency resources is allocated to an uplink shared channel for TBoMS. Based on determining that the first set frequency resources is within the UL subband, the terminal device transmits, to a network device, the UL shared channel for the TBoMS in the SBFD time unit.

[0058] In this way, the frequency resources in UL subband of the SBFD time unit can be used to UL transmission of TBoMS. As such, the communication performance can be enhanced.

[0059] Fig. 1a illustrates an example environment 100 in which example embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented.

[0060] The environment 100, which may be a part of a communication network, comprises a terminal device 110, a network device 120. In some embodiments, the communication network may include NTN, NB-IoT and / or eMTC. In some other embodiments, the communication network may include any other possible communication network. It is to be understood that the number of network devices and terminal devices is given only for the purpose of illustration without suggesting any limitations. The communication network may include any suitable number of network devices and / or terminal devices adapted for implementing embodiments of the present disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be located in the environment 100. Without any limitation, the network device 120 supports the SBFD communication. For example, the network device 120 m ay transmit downlink (DL) channel to the terminal device 110 and receive UL channel from another terminal device 130 in the SBFD time unit, simultaneously. In this disclosure, the non-SBFD time unit may be UL only time unit or DL only time unit.

[0061] It is to be understood that the number of units and other objects in Fig. 1 is provided merely for the purpose of illustration without implying any limitations to the device environment 100. The device environment 100 may include any suitable number of functionality units configured to implement example embodiments of the subject disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be located in the device environment 100.

[0062] Fig. 1b illustrates an example of nominal TDW including one or more SBFD slots according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Fig. 1b, the nominal TDW may include one or more SBFD slots. That is, a terminal device tries to transmit, within the nominal, TDW DMRS for DMRS bundling by maintaining power consistency and phase continuity. However, once the uplink transmission of DMRS encounters the boundary between the UL slot and the SBFD slot, how to handle the uplink transmission of DMRS should be considered. In this disclosure, there may be at least two solutions, one  solution is that defining a new event triggering a new actual TDW, and the event can be the uplink transmission switching from the non-SBFD symbol to the SBFD symbol or switching from the SBFD symbol to the non-SBFD symbol. Another solution is that the actual TDW can cross the boundary, that is, the actual TDW may continue when encounters the SBFD slot. As such, the joint channel estimation (JCE) performance can be maintained. In addition, the UL DMRS can be transmitted on the DL subband of the SBFD time units. Furthermore, the associated downlink transmission can be transmitted by performing rate matching on the these DMRS resources. Regarding this case, some embodiments are discussed in this disclosure with reference to Figs. 2 to 5.

[0063] Fig. 1c illustrates an example of a TBoMS crossing one or more SBFD slots according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Fig. 1c, a terminal device transmits a TB over multiple slots (which also referred to as Transport Block processing over multiple slots, TBoMS) , and the TBoMS crosses one or more SBFD slots. In this case, how to handle the TBoMS with respect to the SBFD slots should be further considered. In this disclosure, the SBFD slots can be checked whether are valid for TBoMS. Regarding this case, some embodiments are discussed in this disclosure with reference to Figs. 6 to 8c.

[0064] Fig. 2 illustrates an example signaling process 200 for transmission enhancement related to TBW according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For illustrative purposes, the process 200 will be described with reference to Fig. 1.

[0065] In the signaling 200, in the case that a boundary between an SBFD time unit and a non-SBFD time unit occurs during a UL transmission associated with the DMRS bundling, the terminal device 110 performs (210) the UL transmission 215 by determining that an actual TDW in a nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary. For example, the boundary between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit can be considered as the event which causes the power consistency and phase continuity power consistency and phase continuity not to be maintained. In some embodiments, the DMRS bundling may be enabled or disabled.

[0066] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may detect (201) the boundary or the switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit. For example, the network device 120 may indicate to the first terminal device 110 which slot (or DL slot) is configured as SBFD slot. In this case, if the UL transmission associated with the DMRS  bundling encounters the boundary of the indicated SBFD slot, the terminal device 110 may detect that the boundary or the switching occurs. After detecting (201) that the boundary or switching occurs, the terminal device 110 may terminate (205) the current actual TDW in the nominal TDW. That is, in this case, the power consistency and phase continuity power consistency and phase continuity for the UL transmission of DMRS crossing multiple slots are not required to be maintained.

[0067] In some embodiments, a reason of terminating the actual TDW before the boundary may be that the power control parameter (s) for UL transmission are different between SBFD time unit and non-SBFD time unit. For example, the cross link interference (CLI) may be handled by adjusting power control parameters or performing beam switching in SBFD slot. Accordingly, the power consistency and phase continuity cannot be maintained across SBFD slot / symbols and non-SBFD slot / symbols. Therefore, the actual TDW cannot cross the boundary of SBFD and non-SBFD slot.

[0068] Without any limitation, the event which causes the power consistency and phase continuity power consistency and phase continuity not to be maintained may include at least one of the following: the boundary between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit, a switching from one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit to another one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit, a DL channel that is not configured within a DL subband of the SBFD time unit, a UL channel that is not configured within a UL subband of the SBFD time unit, a resource allocation for one of a plurality of uplink channels being different from another resource allocation for another one of the plurality of uplink channels, a first power control parameter for UL transmission on the SBFD time unit being different from a second power control parameter for UL transmission on the non-SBFD time unit, or an cancellation of a UL channel which caused by a switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit.

[0069] In an example, the event may be DL receptions outside semi-statically configured SBFD DL subband and / or UL transmission outside semi-statically configured SBFD UL subband. In addition or alternatively, the event may be PUSCH transmission switching from the non-SBFD symbol to SBFD symbol or switching from SBFD symbol to non-SBFD symbol. In addition or alternatively, the event may be consecutive PUCCH / PUSCH transmissions that are mapped to different frequency resources position on different slot / symbols. In addition or alternatively, the event may be different set of power control parameters which are applied for UE transmission on SBFD slot / symbol. In addition or  alternatively, the event may be that a dropping or cancellation of a PUSCH / PUCCH transmission occurs due to dynamic switching between SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below:

[0070] Similarly, at the network device 120, in the case that the boundary between an SBFD time unit and a non-SBFD time unit occurs during a UL transmission associated with the DMRS bundling, the network device 120 performs a reception (220) of the UL transmission 215 by determining that the actual TDW in the nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary. The network device 120 may detect (203) the boundary or the switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit in the same way as the terminal device 110, except that the network device 120 may configure or determine the SBFD time unit autonomously. After detecting (203) that the boundary or switching occurs, the network device 120 may terminate (207) the current actual TDW in the nominal TDW, similarly. For example, the boundary or switching can be considered as the “events” .

[0071] In addition, if the current actual TDW is terminated, the nominal TDW may be divided into at least two actual TDWs and one of the at least two actual TDWs may be within a plurality of SBFD time units. The plurality of SBFD time units may be configured for the uplink transmission for the DMRS bundling. Only for discussion clarity, the divided nominal TDW is further discussed with reference to Fig. 3.

[0072] Fig. 3 illustrates example actual TDWs in a nominal TDW including one or more SBFD slots according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0073] As shown in Fig. 3, if the nominal TDW 305 for PUCCH / PUSCH multiple slot transmission is interrupted by SBFD slot, then the nominal TDW 305 may be separated into at least two actual TDW (for example, the actual TDWs 310 and 320) , and one TDW (for example, 320) may be within one or more SBFD slots. In some embodiments, a start of the one actual TDW 350 is the starting SBFD symbol of a first SBFD time unit and an end of the one actual TDW 350 is the last SBFD symbol of a second SBFD time unit. In addition, the first SBFD time unit is the starting one of the plurality of SBFD time units and the second  SBFD time unit is the last one of the plurality of SBFD time units. As shown in Fig. 3, the start of an actual TDW 350 is the first SBFD symbol of the first PUSCH transmission in a SBFD slot for PUCCH / PUSCH transmission. The end of an actual TDW 350 is the last symbol of the last SBFD slot for PUSCH / PUCCH transmission. In an example, the number of consecutive SBFD symbols may be a size of an actual TDW. The size of the actual TDW for SBFD slot is smaller than the nominal TDW and may be 1, 2, 4, 8, and the like. Alternatively, dedicated RRC parameter can be configured for TDW configuration for SBFD slot / symbols.

[0074] In addition or alternatively, if enabled, the terminal device 110 may restart a new actual TDW after the event. In , and some embodiments, a further actual TDW 330 may be restarted in the nominal TDW, and a start of the further actual TDW 330 is the starting symbol for the uplink transmission after the one actual TDW. For example, for SBFD aware UE, PUSCH-Window-Restart is always enabled, and the start of a new actual TDW is the first symbol of the PUSCH transmission after the SBFD symbols. As shown in Fig. 3, after two consecutive UL slots, there are two consecutive SBFD slots. The actual TDW duration is 2 slots, and the network device may perform DMRS bundling and joint channel estimation across two UL slot or two SBFD slot.

[0075] Referring back to Fig. 2, alternatively to terminating the actual TDW, in the case that the boundary occurs during the UL transmission associated with the DMRS bundling, the terminal device 110 may perform (210) the UL transmission by maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary. In some embodiments, even if detecting (201) the boundary, the terminal device 110 may maintain the power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary without terminating the current actual TDW. Alternatively, during the UL transmission for the DMRS bundling, the terminal device 110 may omit the boundary or the switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit. For example, the terminal device 110 does not care about the boundary or the switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit. In this case, a DMRS for the DMRS bundling may be transmitted on a portion of the DL subband of the SBFD time unit. In this way, the performance of the joint channel estimation can be ensured.

[0076] In turn, since the portion of DL subband of the SBFD time unit is occupied by the UL transmission of DMRS, the network device 120 may refrain from transmitting DL information on the portion of DL subband. In an example, assuming that the DMRS UL transmission is transmitted in a set of frequency resources within the DL subband, the  network device 120 may transmit a DL channel to a further terminal device by performing (223) a rate matching on the set of frequency resources.

[0077] That is, power consistency and phase continuity may be kept for PUSCH or PUCCH transmission switching from SBFD and non-SBFD slot, and the TDW can cross the boundary of SBFD and non-SBFD slot. In an example, for PUSCH transmissions of PUSCH repetition Type A scheduled by DCI format 0_1 or 0_2, PUSCH repetition Type A with a configured grant, PUSCH repetition Type B and TB processing over multiple slots when PUSCH-DMRS-Bundling is enabled, and for PUCCH transmissions of PUCCH repetition when PUCCH-DMRS-Bundling is enabled, and if the frequency resource for PUSCH in SBFD slot and non-SBFD slot is different, then UL DMRS for PUCCH / PUSCH is allowed to be transmitted outside UL subband of SBFD configuration in SBFD slot / symbols. Moreover, the PDSCH is transmitted on the DL subband by performing a rate matching on these DMRS resources. As shown in Fig. 4, the frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) is different for PUSCH in different slot type, the DMRS PUSCH on the SBFD slot is transmitted on a portion of the DL subband of the SBFD. Moreover, the terminal device 110 may perform DMRS bundling in UL only slots and SBFD slots in the TDW. Only for discussion clarity, the actual TDW crossing the boundary is further discussed with reference to Fig. 4.

[0078] Fig. 4 illustrates example DMRS transmissions crossing the boundary between SBFD time unit and non-SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0079] As shown in Fig. 4, the terminal device 110 may transmit multiple DMRSs (410, 420, 430 and 440) for DMRS bundling crossing the boundary between SBFD slots and UL slots. The power consistency and phase continuity may be maintained for the multiple DMRSs crossing the boundary between the UL slots and the SBFD slots. Moreover, the transmitted DMRSs 430 and 440 may occupy a portion of the DL subband in the SBFD slots, as shown by blocks 435 and 445. The portion of the DL subband 435 and 445 may be the above set of frequency resources. Then, if the network device is to transmit DL information on the DL subband to a further terminal device, the network device 120 may transmit the DL information by performing the rate matching on the resources in the blocks 435 and 445. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0080] In addition, the network device 120 may transmit an indication of the set of frequency resources for the rate matching to the further terminal device. In some embodiments, this indication may be carried in at least one of the following: downlink control information (DCI) , UE-group common DCI, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) , or a radio resource control (RRC) signaling. In an example, one of the below methods for DCI design associated with UL DMRS pattern for CG / DG PUSCH can be considered. In these methods, the indication for other UE’s PDSCH rate matching receiving is carried in some alternative signaling.

[0081] For example, the rate matching for UL DMRS resource indicator bit field can be added in DCI format 1_x which used to tell UE to do rate matching or puncture, when receiving PDSCH on the DL subband that overlapped with the PUSCH DMRS resource on the SBFD symbols / slot. In addition or alternatively, UE-group common DCI format 2_x is used for carrying the rate matching for UL DMRS commands for PDSCH rate matching or puncture transmissions for one or multiple UEs. The one or multiple UEs are configured with PDSCH resource on the DL subband that overlaps with the PUSCH DMRS REs. In addition or alternatively, the MAC-CE may indicate rate matching or puncture when receiving PDSCH on the DL subband that overlaps with the PUSCH DMRS resource. In addition or alternatively, the dedicated parameters RateMatchPatternDMRS configuration for PDSCH rate matching pattern in SBFD slot are defined. Specifically, RateMatchPatternDMRS is the UE CG PUSCH DMRS configuration transmitted on DL subband. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0082] Referring back to Fig. 2, in some embodiments, an inter-slot frequency hopping is enabled for the uplink transmission. In an example, the above SBFD time unit is a SBFD slot and the non-SBFD time unit is a non-SBFD slot. In this case, the frequency hopping interval may be the number of consecutive SBFD slots comprising this SBFD slot. Only for discussion clarity, the inter-slot frequency hopping is further discussed with reference to Fig. 5.

[0083] Fig. 5 illustrates example frequency hopping pattern for DMRS transmission crossing one or more SBFD slots according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0084] As shown in Fig. 5, assuming that the DMRS bundling and the inter-slot frequency hopping are enabled for PUSCH repetition type A / B, PUCCH repetitions and / or TBoMS transmission. The terminal device 110 may expect that the configured value of pusch-FrequencyHoppingInterval in DMRSbundling configuration equals to the consecutive SBFD slot number. In Fig. 5, the PUSCH repetition type A / B, PUCCH repetitions and / or TBoMS transmission may have three hoppings 510, 520 and 530. The interval of the second hopping 520 may equal to the consecutive SBFD slot number (i.e., two slots) . The above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0085] As mentioned above, how to handle the TBoMS with respect to the SBFD time unit should be considered. Specifically, the following situations may be considered: DL symbol  or flexible symbol configured by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated may include an UL sub-band for SBFD operation, then how to support the UL transmission in SBFD symbol; how to perform slot counting with respect to the SBFD slot; how to settle the collision with other channels; and how to perform the transport block size (TBS) calculation.

[0086] Fig. 6 illustrates an example signaling process 600 for transmission enhancement related to TBoMS according to some embodiments of the present disclosure

[0087] In the signaling 600, the terminal device 110 determines (610) whether a first set of frequency resources is within a UL subband of SBFD time unit. The first set of frequency resources is allocated to UL shared channel for TBoMS. For example, if a UL transmission for TBoMS encounters an SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the first set of frequency resources is within a UL subband of SBFD time unit. If the first set of resources is within the UL subband of SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may determine (615) that the SBFD time unit is a valid time unit for the TBoMS transmission. Otherwise, the terminal device 110 may determine (645) the SBFD time unit is invalid for the TBoMS transmission.

[0088] Then, if the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband of SBFD time unit, the SBFD time unit may be determined as valid time unit and the terminal device 110 transmits (620) , in the SBFD time unit, UL shared channel 625 for TBoMS to the network device 120. Accordingly, the network device 120 receives (640) the UL shared channel 625 for TBoMS. Alternatively, if the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband of SBFD time unit, the SBFD time unit may be determined as invalid time unit and the terminal device 110 may cancel or drop the UL shared channel for TBoMS scheduled or configured on the SBFD time unit. In addition or alternatively, whether the SBFD time unit is a valid time unit may be further based on DL information scheduled on the SBFD time unit, and this will be discussed with reference to Fig. 7c. For discussion clarity, the embodiments are further discussed with reference to Figs. 7a to 7c.

[0089] Fig. 7a to Fig. 7c illustrate examples of the determination of valid time unit for TBoMS from SBFD time units according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0090] As shown in Fig. 7a, the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband of the SBFD slots. In this case, the SBFD slots may be determined as valid slots. Then, the terminal device 110 may transmit the data 701, 703, 705 and 707 for TBoMS on the first  set of frequency resources of the UL slots and SBFD slots, respectively.

[0091] As shown in Fig. 7b, the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband of the SBFD time unit. In this case, the SBFD slots may be determined as invalid slots. Then, the terminal device 110 may transmit the UL transmissions 711 and 713, and drop or cancel the UL transmissions 715 and 717 on the SBFD slots.

[0092] In addition or alternatively, whether the SBFD time unit is a valid time unit may be further based on DL information scheduled on the SBFD time unit. In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine whether there is configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit. In an example, in the case that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, the SBFD time unit may be determined as invalid if there is configured DL information in the SBFD time unit. Only if there is no configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit, this SBFD time unit may be determined as valid time unit. In addition, a priority level may be predefined for the DL information. Then, in the case that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the DL information is configured in the SBFD time unit, the SBFD time unit may be determined as valid time unit if the DL information is below a priority threshold. Otherwise, the SBFD time unit may be determined as invalid time unit. In some embodiments, the DL information with priority level higher than the priority threshold may comprise at least one of synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SSB) and downlink control information (DCI) . Alternatively, if the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband or there is DL information on the SBFD time unit or the DL information is above the priority threshold, the terminal device may determine the SBFD time unit as invalid.

[0093] As shown in Fig. 7c, even if the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, the SBFD slots may be determined as invalid since there is SSB configured on the SBFD slots. Then, the terminal device 110 may transmit the UL transmissions 721 and 723, and drop or cancel the UL transmissions 725 and 727 on the SBFD slots.

[0094] In a specific example, assuming that configuration parameters (for example, FDRA, power control, spatial configuration) are unified for TBoMS transmissions in SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. If the frequency resource allocation of PUSCH is located within the UL subband in SBFD slot, and PUSCH TBoMS transmission does not overlap with the SSB transmission in one or more SBFD slots, these SBFD slots may be handled as valid slots for PUSCH transmission. Otherwise, if the frequency resource allocation of PUSCH is  located outside the UL sub-band in SBFD slot, or if the PUSCH TBoMS transmission overlaps with the SSB transmission in one or more SBFD slots, these SBFD slots may be determined as invalid. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0095] Referring back to Fig. 6, In turn, the network device 120 may also determine whether a SBFD time unit is valid for the TBoMS in the same way. Specifically, the network device 120 determines (630) whether a first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband. If the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, the terminal device may determine (635) the SBFD time unit as valid time unit. Otherwise, the network device may determine (645) the SBFD time unit as invalid. In addition, the network device 120 may also determine whether the SBFD time unit is valid based on the DL information on the SBFD time unit, in the same way.

[0096] In addition, currently, if UL subband on SBFD symbols is configured / indicated for PUSCH TBoMS transmission, available slot is counted without considering the DL slot configured with UL subband as SBFD symbols. In some embodiments, if the SBFD time units are determined as valid time units, then these SBFD time units may be counted with respect to the TBoMS. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0097] In addition, a transport block size (TBS) for the TBoMS may be determined based on a first number of resource elements (RE) allocated to the uplink shared channel in the SBFD time unit and a second number of REs allocated to the uplink shared channel in the non-SBFD time unit. In an example, if the allocated PRB number for SBFD slot / symbols is different and separately indicated, then the RE number for TBS determination is also separately determined for SBFD slot / symbols and UL only slot / symbols. Moreover, the total REs for TBS calculation is the REs on the non-SBFD slots plus the RE number on SBFD slots for TBoMS transmission. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0098] In addition, in some cases, the uplink control channel (for example, PUCCH) and the uplink shared channel (PUSCH) may be scheduled on the same slots. In other words, the PUSCH may collide with PUCCH in the same time unit. The collision may be handled by means of the SBFD mechanism, in order to improve the UL transmission performance.

[0099] In some embodiments, assuming that each of a plurality of UL shared channels is allocated with the first set of frequency resources in different time units, respectively. Furthermore, a first UL shared channel of the plurality of UL shared channels is configured on a non-SBFD time unit and this non-SBFD time unit is further configured with a first UL control channel. In this case, if the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may transmit the first UL shared channel in a further SBFD time unit. Moreover, the further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time unit which is closest one to the non-SBFD time unit. Only for discussion clarity, the embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 8a.

[0100] Fig. 8a illustrates an example of adjustments of uplink shared channel and / or uplink control channel with respect to SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Fig. 8a, if TBoMS transmission collides with the PUCCH repetition transmission on the UL slot, and the FDRA for TBoMS transmission is within the UL subband in the SBFD slot, then the TBoMS transmission may be transferred to the nearest SBFD slot / symbols. Specifically, in Fig. 8a, the data for TBoMS is configured to be transmitted in a plurality of PUSCHs 801 and 803. Moreover, a plurality of PUCCHs 805 and 809 are to be transmitted. Therefore, the PUCCH 805 and PUSCH 803 are configured in the same UL slot. In this case, the PUSCH 803 may be adjusted into the nearest SBFD slot as the PUSCH 807. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0101] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine whether a second set of frequency of resources allocated to the first UL control channel is within the UL subband. If the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may transmit the first UL control channel in the further SBFD time unit. Similarly, the further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0102] Fig. 8b illustrates another example of adjustments of uplink shared channel and / or uplink control channel with respect to SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0103] For example, if TBoMS transmission collides with the PUCCH repetition transmission in the UL slot and the PUCCH frequency position is within the UL subband, then the PUCCH repetition can be transmitted on the UL subband in the nearest SBFD slot / symbols. As shown in Fig. 8b, the data for TBoMS is configured to be transmitted in a plurality of PUSCHs 811 and 813. Moreover, a plurality of PUCCHs 815 and 815 are to be transmitted. Therefore, the PUCCH 813 and PUSCH 815 are configured in the same UL slot. In this case, the PUCCH 815 may be adjusted into the nearest SBFD slot as the PUCCH repetition 817. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0104] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine which one of the uplink  control channel or the uplink shared channel is configured with resources within the UL subband. Then, the terminal device 110 adjust the one of uplink control channel or the uplink shared channel which is configured with resources within the UL subband. In some embodiments, if the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the second set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may transmit the first UL shared channel in a further SBFD time unit. Alternatively, if the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may transmit the first UL control channel in the further SBFD time unit.

[0105] Fig. 8c illustrates a further examples of adjustments of uplink shared channel and / or uplink control channel with respect to SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0106] In an example, if TBoMS transmission collides with the PUCCH repetition transmission and if the FDRA for PUCCH is within the UL subband in SBFD slot / symbols and the FDRA for PUSCH is out of the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may adjust the PUCCH transmission to the SBFD slot / symbols. Alternatively, if the FDRA for PUSCH is within the UL subband in SBFD slot / symbols and the FDRA for PUCCH is out of the UL subband, the terminal device 110 may adjust the PUSCH transmission to the SBFD slot / symbols. As shown in Fig. 8c, the data for TBoMS is configured to be transmitted in a plurality of PUSCHs 821 and 823. Moreover, a plurality of PUCCHs 825 and 827 are to be transmitted. Therefore, the PUCCH 825 and PUSCH 823 are configured in the same UL slot. In this case, the PUSCH 823 may adjusted into the nearest SBFD slot as PUSCH 829.

[0107] In view of the above, the TDW for DMRS bundling and the TBoMS are enhanced with respect to the SBFD mechanism.

[0108] Fig. 9 illustrates a flowchart of a method 900 of communication implemented at a terminal device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 900 can be implemented at the terminal device 110 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 900 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to be understood that the method 500 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0109] At 910, in in a case that a boundary between a subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit and a non-SBFD time unit occurs during an uplink transmission associated  with a de-modulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, the terminal device 110 performs the uplink (UL) transmission by one of the following: i) determining that an actual time domain window (TDW) in a nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary, or ii) maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary. The nominal TDW is configured for the DMRS bundling and the SBFD slot is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions.

[0110] In some embodiments, an event which causes the power consistency and phase continuity within the nominal TDW not to be maintained comprises an occurrence of at least one of the following: the boundary; a switching from one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit to another one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit; a downlink (DL) channel that is not configured within a DL subband of the SBFD time unit; a UL channel that is not configured within a UL subband of the SBFD time unit; a resource allocation for one of a plurality of uplink channels being different from another resource allocation for another one of the plurality of uplink channels; a first power control parameter for UL transmission on the SBFD time unit being different from a second power control parameter for UL transmission on the non-SBFD time unit; or an cancellation of a UL channel which caused by a switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit.

[0111] In some embodiments, the terminal device is caused to perform the uplink transmission by determining that the actual TDW is terminated, and the terminal device may divide the nominal TDW into at least two actual TDWs, wherein one actual TDW of the at least two actual TDW is within a plurality of SBFD time units for the uplink transmission.

[0112] In some embodiments, a start of the one actual TDW is the starting SBFD symbol of a first SBFD time unit; an end of the one actual TDW is the last SBFD symbol of a second SBFD time unit; the first SBFD time unit is the starting one of the plurality of SBFD time units; and the second SBFD time unit is the last one of the plurality of SBFD time units.

[0113] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may restart a further actual TDW in the nominal TDW, and a start of the further actual TDW is the starting symbol for the uplink transmission after the one actual TDW.

[0114] In some embodiments, terminal device 110 may perform the uplink transmission by maintaining power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary, and a DMRS for the DMRS bundling is transmitted in a set of frequency resources that is within a DL subband of the SBFD time unit.

[0115] In some embodiments, a DL channel in the SBFD time unit is transmitted by performing a rate matching on the set of frequency resources.

[0116] In some embodiments, an indication of the set of frequency resources for the rate matching is carried in at least one of the following: downlink control information (DCI) ; UE-group common DCI; a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) ; and a radio resource control (RRC) signaling.

[0117] In some embodiments, an inter-slot frequency hopping is enabled for the uplink transmission, the SBFD time unit is a SBFD slot, the non-SBFD time unit is a non-SBFD slot, and a frequency hopping interval is the number of consecutive SBFD slots comprising the SBFD slot.

[0118] Fig. 10 illustrates a flowchart of a method 1000 of communication implemented at a network device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 1000 can be implemented at the network device 120 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 1000 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to be understood that the method 1000 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0119] At 1010, in a case that a boundary between a subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) slot and a non-SBFD slot occurs during an uplink transmission associated with a de-modulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, the network device 120 performs a reception of the uplink (UL) transmission by one of the following: i) determining that an actual time domain window (TDW) in a nominal TDW is terminated before the boundary, or ii) receiving the uplink transmission with power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary. The nominal TDW is configured for the DMRS bundling and the SBFD slot is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions.

[0120] In some embodiments, an event which causes the power consistency and phase continuity within the nominal TDW not to be maintained comprises an occurrence of at least one of the following: the boundary; a switching from one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit to another one of the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit; a downlink (DL) channel that is not configured within a DL subband of the SBFD time unit; a UL channel that is not configured within a UL subband of the SBFD time unit; a resource allocation for one of a plurality of uplink channels being different from another resource allocation for another one of the plurality of uplink channels; a first power control parameter  for the SBFD time unit being different from a second power control parameter for the non-SBFD time unit; or an cancellation of a UL channel which caused by a switching between the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit.

[0121] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may perform the reception by determining that the actual TDW is terminated, and the network device may further divide the nominal TDW into at least two actual TDW, wherein one actual TDW of the at least two actual TDW is within a plurality of SBFD time units for the uplink transmission.

[0122] In some embodiments, a start of the one actual TDW is the starting SBFD symbol of a first SBFD time unit; an end of the one actual TDW is the last SBFD symbol of a second SBFD time unit; the first SBFD time unit is the starting one of the plurality of SBFD time units; and the second SBFD time unit is the last one of the plurality of SBFD time units.

[0123] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may restart a further actual TDW in the nominal TDW, and a start of the further actual TDW is the starting symbol for the uplink transmission after the one actual TDW.

[0124] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may perform the reception by receiving the uplink transmission with power consistency and phase continuity crossing the boundary, and a DMRS for the DMRS bundling is transmitted in a set of frequency resources that is within a DL subband of the SBFD time unit.

[0125] In some embodiments, a DL channel in the SBFD time unit is transmitted by performing a rate matching on the set of frequency resources.

[0128] Fig. 11 illustrates a flowchart of a method 1100 of communication implemented at a terminal device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 1100 can be implemented at the terminal device 110 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 1100 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to  be understood that the method 1100 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0129] At 1010, the terminal device 110 determines whether a first set of frequency resources is within an uplink (UL) subband of a subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit. The first set of frequency resources is allocated to an uplink shared channel for transport block (TB) processing over multiple slots (TBoMS) . At 1020, based on determining that the first set frequency resources is within the UL subband, the terminal device 110 transmits, to a network device, the uplink (UL) shared channel for the TBoMS in the SBFD time unit.

[0130] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may transmit the UL shared channel by:determining that there is no configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit, and the configured downlink information comprises at least one of synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SSB) and downlink control information (DCI) .

[0131] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine the SBFD time unit as a valid time unit. In some embodiments, the SBFD time unit is counted with respect to the TBoMS.

[0132] In some embodiments, the first set frequency resources is determined to be not within the UL subband or there is configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit, and the terminal device may: determine the SBFD time unit as an invalid time unit; and / or cancel the uplink shared channel configured on the SBFD time unit. The configured downlink information comprises at least one of SSB and DCI.

[0133] In some embodiments, a transport block size (TBS) for the TBoMS is determined based on a first number of resource elements (RE) allocated to the uplink shared channel in the SBFD time unit and a second number of REs allocated to the uplink shared channel in the non-SBFD time unit.

[0134] In some embodiments, the UL shared channel is one of a plurality of UL shared channels for the TBoMS, and the plurality of UL shared channels is allocated with the first set of frequency resources in different time units, respectively, a first UL shared channel of the plurality of UL shared channels is configured on a non-SBFD time unit, and the non-SBFD time unit is further configured with a first UL control channel.

[0135] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may: based on determining that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, transmit the first UL shared channel  in a further SBFD time unit, wherein the further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0136] In some embodiments, the terminal device may determine whether a second set of frequency of resources allocated to the first UL control channel is within the UL subband.

[0137] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may: based on determining that the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, transmit the first UL control channel in a further SBFD time unit. The further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0138] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may: based on determining that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the second set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, transmit the first UL shared channel in a further SBFD time unit; or based on determining that the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, transmit the first UL control channel in the further SBFD time unit. The further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0139] Fig. 12 illustrates a flowchart of a method 1200 of communication implemented at a network device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 1200 can be implemented at the network device 110 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 1200 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to be understood that the method 1200 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0140] At 1210, the network device 120 determines whether a first set of frequency resources is within an uplink (UL) subband of a subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit. The first set of frequency resources is allocated to an uplink shared channel for transport block (TB) processing over multiple slots (TBoMS) . At 1220, based on determining that the first set frequency resources is within the UL subband, the network device receives, from a terminal device, the uplink (UL) shared channel for the TBoMS in the SBFD time unit.

[0141] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may receive the UL shared channel by: determining that there is no configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit, and the configured downlink information comprises at least one of synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SSB) and downlink control information (DCI) .

[0142] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may determine the SBFD time unit as a valid time unit. In some embodiments, the SBFD time unit is counted with respect to the TBoMS.

[0143] In some embodiments, the first set frequency resources is determined to be not within the UL subband or there is configured downlink information in the SBFD time unit, and wherein the network device may further: determine the SBFD time unit as an invalid time unit, wherein the configured downlink information comprises at least one of SSB and DCI.

[0144] In some embodiments, a transport block size (TBS) for the TBoMS is determined based on the number of resource elements (RE) allocated to the uplink shared channel in the SBFD time unit.

[0145] In some embodiments, the UL shared channel is one of a plurality of UL shared channels for the TBoMS, and the plurality of UL shared channels is allocated with the first set of frequency resources in different time units, respectively, a first UL shared channel of the plurality of UL shared channels is configured on a non-SBFD time unit, and the non-SBFD time unit is further configured with a first UL control channel.

[0146] In some embodiments, the network device may: based on determining that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, receive the first UL shared channel in a further SBFD time unit, wherein the further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0147] In some embodiments, the network device may determine whether a second set of frequency of resources allocated to the first UL control channel is within the UL subband.

[0148] In some embodiments, the network device may: based on determining that the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband, receive the first UL control channel in a further SBFD time unit. The further SBFD time unit is the one of multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.

[0149] In some embodiments, the network device may: based on determining that the first set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the second set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, receive the first UL shared channel in a further SBFD time unit; or based on determining that the second set of frequency resources is within the UL subband and the first set of frequency resources is not within the UL subband, receive the first UL control channel in the further SBFD time unit. The further SBFD time unit is the one of  multiple SBFD time units which is closest to the non-SBFD time unit.
