[0014] DE 10 2005 014421 A1 relates to a pull-out system for a kitchen appliance, in particular for an oven, comprising a cover element that can be pulled out or removed horizontally from the kitchen appliance. The cover element is connected to a guide having at least two rail elements that can be telescopically pushed together and pulled apart. To achieve improved handling of the kitchen appliance, at least one of the rail elements is provided with a locking element, with which the other rail element, which is displaceable relative to the one rail element, can be locked in at least one predetermined locking position.

[0015] The object of the present invention is to at least partially overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and, in particular, to provide a particularly simple, flexibly adaptable, and cost-effective way of extending a functional unit attached to a household appliance pull-out system in the manner of a drawer with at least one locking intermediate position. This object is achieved according to the features of the independent claims. Preferred embodiments can be found in particular in the dependent claims.

[0016] The object is achieved by a household appliance pull-out system, comprising at least one telescopic rail with a part fixed to the appliance and a movable part which can be pulled out in relation to it, wherein the part fixed to the appliance and the movable part are mutually

[0017] - a relative first position corresponding to a more compressed state ("first end position"),

[0018] - a relative second position corresponding to a more extended state compared to the first end position, in which the two parts are releasably locked together ("second locking position") and

[0019] - have at least one third locking position located between the first end position and the second locking position, wherein

[0020] - an element protruding in the direction of the other part ("locking projection element") is attached to the part fixed to the device or to the movable part,

[0021] - in a path of the locking projection element with respect to the other part between the first end position and the second locking position on the other part there is at least one element embedded in a recess ("locking receiving element") into which the locking projection element can be releasably locked in the third locking position.

[0022] This pull-out system has the advantage that, in a structurally simple manner, a practically unlimited number of third locking positions can be provided at any position between the first and second end positions. This in turn advantageously enables the extension and secure and precise positioning of a functional unit of the household appliance held by the pull-out system. This is particularly advantageous if the functional unit has several functional areas arranged one behind the other in the pull-out direction, which can then be precisely and flexibly pulled out of a drawer housing for operation using the third locking areas or can remain in the drawer housing, for example to protect a user. In particular, unintentional closing due to impact or contact can be prevented. A further advantage is that the locking elements are easy to replace when they become worn.

[0023] The household appliance pull-out system is designed for use in or with a household appliance. The household appliance can be, for example, a cooking appliance (e.g., an oven, a steamer, a vacuum cooker, etc.), a dishwasher, a sterilizer, a laundry appliance, etc.

[0024] The parts of the telescopic rail are designed in a rail-like manner or as rails. The fixed part can also be referred to as a guide rail, and the movable part as a running rail. As is generally known, the two parts of the telescopic rail can be moved parallel to each other, with each movement changing the overall length of the telescopic rail: when the movable part is extended relative to the fixed part (or vice versa), the telescopic rail becomes longer; when it is pushed together, it becomes shorter. The parts or rails of the telescopic rail can be connected to each other using, for example, plain bearings, roller bearings, ball bearings, etc.

[0025] In the first end position, which may correspond to a releasable locking position, the two parts are pushed closer together than in the second end position, which corresponds to an end position in which the two parts are releasably locked together. Between these two end positions, there may be one or more third locking positions, which correspond to different states of retraction or the total length of the telescopic rail.

[0026] A locking position prevents, in particular, a relative displacement of the two parts against each other until a certain (threshold) force acting in the direction of movement (here: in the extension or insertion direction) is reached or exceeded, whereby the locking is released. The threshold force is advantageously designed so that, on the one hand, derusting is noticeable for the user and, on the other hand, large movement of the functional unit is prevented. In a further development, the threshold force is the same for the extension direction and insertion direction. In a further development, the threshold force is different for the extension direction and insertion direction. The locking projection element is, in particular, a separately manufactured component that is subsequently attached to the part fixed to the device or to the movable part. In particular, it can consist of a different material than the part to which it is attached. The locking projection element can protrude on the device-fixed part in the direction of the movable part or conversely protrude on the movable part in the direction of the device-fixed part.

[0027] In a third locking position, the locking projection element engages in a locking manner in an opposite locking receiving element corresponding to this locking position.

[0028] The locking projection element can also be inserted into a recess. The locking projection element can be attached directly or indirectly to the movable part. An indirect attachment includes, for example, attachment to a component that is itself attached to the movable part at least in the direction of movement, e.g., a support frame.

[0029] The locking projection element can, for example, be designed in the form of a pin or a nose.

[0030] In one embodiment, the locking projection element and / or the at least one locking receiving element are made of elastic material. This facilitates the engagement and disengagement of the locking projection element and the locking receiving element, particularly with the desired threshold force, and minimizes wear. A further advantage is that plastic elements can be particularly easily attached to the corresponding parts of the telescopic rail, for example, by positive insertion into a recess provided for this purpose, by injection molding, hot-staking, with press rivets, press nuts, bushings, crimping, screwing, etc.

[0031] In one embodiment, the locking projection element and / or the at least one locking receiving element is made of plastic. If only the locking projection element or only the at least one locking receiving element is made of elastic material, in particular plastic, the other element can be made of metal, for example. The parts, in particular rails, can be made of metal, for example, which makes the telescopic rail particularly robust. In one embodiment, the locking receiving element is a component that projects in the direction of the part fixed to the device or the movable part, as the case may be, and has a recess arranged in the path of the locking projection element for engagement of the locking projection element. This is advantageously particularly easy to implement.

[0032] In one embodiment, the locking receiving element protrudes like a dome, with the recess located at its apex. This advantageously enables reliable and jerk-free locking and unlocking using simple construction means. The dome-shaped projecting area can, for example, be designed as a spherical section, a conic section, a section through an ellipsoid, etc. To lock into place, the locking projection element first moves up along the surface of the dome-shaped projecting area under the application of force until it dips into the recess and thus locks into place. To unlock, force must be applied to allow the locking projection element to slide out of the recess again. This embodiment therefore has the further advantage that the locking projection element does not need to slide in contact over the other part between the first and second positions outside of a locking receiving element. The flat back of the dome-shaped protrusion can be connected to a locking, clip, rivet, etc. area, which can be used to secure the protrusion in the recess. In particular, the locking element is made of an elastic material.

[0033] In one embodiment, the locking receiving element has at least one depression formed in the cutout, which is arranged in the path of the locking projection element, and the locking projection element presses onto the other part between the first locking position and the second locking position, at least outside of the at least one depression. This embodiment can be implemented in a particularly compact manner because no protruding area is required on the locking receiving element. The locking projection element contacts the other part outside the locking receiving elements under pressure and, upon reaching a locking receiving element, plunges into its depression. To disengage, force must be applied in order to allow the locking projection element to slide out of the depression again. The locking projection element is advantageously elastic and is advantageously elastically deformed outside the depression of a locking receiving element. One embodiment provides for the locking projection element to be attached to the movable part—directly or indirectly (e.g., to a support frame)—and the locking receiving element to be arranged on the part fixed to the device. This is advantageously particularly easy to implement.

[0034] In one embodiment, the household appliance pull-out system has two parallel telescopic rails, each with a part fixed to the appliance and a movable part, the movable parts of which are connected by a support frame, wherein at least one of these two telescopic rails is equipped as described above, in particular with a locking projection element or at least one locking receiving element. The other telescopic rail can also be designed as described above, but this is not necessary. For example, as a second position it can only have an end position without locking and / or no third locking position(s). The support frame serves in particular to accommodate / hold at least one functional unit of the household appliance and enables it to be pulled out and retracted like a drawer. It is a further development that the support frame also provides electrical connections for power supply and / or signal and / or data transmission.

[0035] It is an advantageous design for simple construction that—depending on the design—either the at least one locking receiving element or the locking projection element is attached to the support frame. This advantageously allows for a close arrangement of the two parts of the telescopic rail and / or the utilization of a comparatively large installation space.

[0036] One embodiment is that the first end position corresponds to a fully retracted state of the telescopic rail, and the second locking position corresponds to a fully extended state of the telescopic rail. This is advantageously particularly space-saving.

[0037] The object is also achieved by a household appliance, comprising a functional unit, in particular an electrically operated one, and a household appliance pull-out system, wherein the household appliance pull-out system has two telescopic rails, each with a part fixed to the appliance, which is connected to a drawer housing, and a movable part which can be extended horizontally in relation to it and is connected directly or indirectly (e.g. via a support frame) to the functional unit. In a first end position, in particular a locking position, of the household appliance pull-out system, the functional unit is fully inserted into a drawer housing of the household appliance, in a second locking position of the household appliance pull-out system (as part of normal operation of the functional unit) it is fully pulled out of the drawer housing, and in at least a third locking position of the household appliance pull-out system it is partially pulled out of the drawer housing.

[0038] The household appliance can be designed analogously to the household appliance pull-out system, and vice versa, and has the same advantages.

[0039] The drawer housing can correspond to the body of the household appliance. The functional unit is, in particular, inserted into a support frame held by two telescopic rails. The functional unit, possibly together with the support frame, functionally corresponds to a drawer that can be extended out of and retracted into the drawer housing.

[0040] In one embodiment, the functional unit, when viewed from in front of the household appliance (when a user is standing directly in front of the household appliance and looking down at the functional unit), has a plurality of functional areas arranged one behind the other, and in the second locking position, more functional areas are accessible to the user than in the at least one third locking position. This advantageously makes it possible to partially pull the functional unit out of the drawer housing, lock it in an intermediate position, and allow the user to safely handle the functional areas exposed in this intermediate position. The further the functional unit is pulled out, the more functional areas the user can handle.

[0041] It is an embodiment that at least one of the telescopic rails is a telescopic rail as described above.

[0042] In one embodiment, the electrically operated functional unit is a steam treatment unit with a steam-loaded steam treatment chamber. In one embodiment, the steam treatment unit, viewed from the front of the household appliance, has an operating section and a steam treatment chamber behind it, and wherein

[0043] - in the second locking position, both the operating section and the steam treatment chamber can be handled by the user and

[0044] - in the third locking position, only the operating section can be handled by the user.

[0045] This advantageously allows the operating section to be operated in the third locking position while the steam treatment chamber is not yet accessible, for example, because it is still fully or partially inserted into the drawer housing and therefore cannot be opened. This is particularly advantageous if the operation is still taking place during a steam treatment process.

[0046] In one embodiment, the operating section comprises a user interface, e.g., an area for setting steam treatment parameters (e.g., a temperature and / or humidity in the steam treatment chamber and / or a duration of a steam treatment process), for selecting steam treatment programs, a start button, etc. In one embodiment, the operating section comprises a water tank that can be filled from the operating section. The water tank is provided, in particular, for supplying water to an evaporator of the steam treatment unit. The evaporator can be arranged in the operating section.

[0047] A further development is that the steam treatment chamber can be supplied with steam generated by the evaporator. The steam treatment chamber can have a tray ("steam tray"), the top of which serves as the loading opening and can be closed by means of a lid.

[0048] The problem is further solved by a method for user-side positioning of an electrically operated functional unit of a household appliance as described above, in which the functional unit is moved from the first locking position to the third locking position in the extension direction of the functional unit. In a further development, the functional unit is moved from the third locking position to the second locking position by applying force in the extension direction.

[0049] It is a further development that the functional unit is moved from the second locking position back into the third locking position in the opposite direction to the extension direction or by passing over the third locking position back into the first locking position.

[0050] The method can be designed analogously to the household appliance and / or the household appliance pull-out system, and vice versa, and has the same advantages.

[0051] The above-described properties, features and advantages of this invention, as well as the manner in which they are achieved, will become clearer and more clearly understood in connection with the following schematic description of an embodiment, which is explained in more detail in connection with the drawings.

[0052] Fig.1 shows an oblique view of a section of a household appliance with a drawer-like steam treatment unit;

[0053] Fig.2 shows an oblique view of another section of the household appliance from Fig.1;

[0054] Fig.3 shows an oblique view of a telescopic rail of the household appliance from Fig.1 according to a first embodiment; and

[0055] Fig.4 shows an oblique view of a telescopic rail of the household appliance from Fig.1 according to a second embodiment.

[0056] Fig.1 shows a view obliquely from the front of a section of a household cooking appliance 1 in the form of a double-decker cooking appliance with a drawer-like electrically operated steam treatment unit 2. The steam treatment unit 2 can be extended horizontally forwards from a drawer housing 3 and conversely retracted backwards into the drawer housing 3, as indicated by the double arrow.

[0057] The steam treatment unit 2 is inserted into a support frame 4, which is connected to the drawer housing 3 via two parallel telescopic rails 5 (arranged on the left and right in the front view). The support frame 4, together with the two telescopic rails 5, can be considered or referred to as a pull-out system 4, 5. The drawer housing 3 can be part of an outer housing or body 6, which has a space 7 above the drawer housing 3 for at least one additional cooking appliance (not shown), e.g., an oven. Such a household cooking appliance 1 can also be referred to as a "multi-cavity" appliance.

[0058] The steam treatment unit 2 has a front panel 8, behind which is an electrically operated operating section 9. Behind the operating section 9, a steamer tray 10 can be inserted into the support frame 4, which, together with a lid (not shown) that can be attached to the top, forms a steam treatment chamber 11.

[0059] At least one of the two telescopic rails 5 is designed so that the steam treatment unit 2 is fully retracted into the drawer housing 3 in a first end position (not shown), in particular a locking position. The front panel 8 then ends, in particular, flush with the front of the household cooking appliance 1.

[0060] In a second locking position (not shown) of the pull-out system 4, 5, the steam treatment unit 2 is practically completely pulled out of the drawer housing 3. The steam treatment chamber 11 is then exposed, and, for example, the lid of the steamer tray 10 can be removed, the steamer tray 10 can be loaded with food, etc.

[0061] In the third locking position shown, the steam treatment unit 2 is partially pulled out of the drawer housing 3, specifically in such a way that the operating section 9 is completely exposed and can thus be handled. For example, a water tank 12 can be filled or settings can be made on the user interface 13. The steam treatment chamber 11, on the other hand, is only partially exposed. This allows a view into the steamer tray 10 through the transparent lid, e.g., to visually inspect the condition of the food being cooked, but the lid cannot be handled to remove it from the steamer tray 10. This advantageously ensures that the steam treatment chamber 11 is not accidentally opened.A user can thus extend the steam treatment unit 2 from the first end position like a drawer and then safely manipulate the operating section 9 in the third locking position, or move past the third locking position to reach the fully extended second locking position. The reverse movement process can be performed analogously.

[0062] Fig.2 shows an oblique view of another section of the household cooking appliance 1, specifically in the area of the support frame 4 and a right-hand telescopic rail 5, 5A, seen from the front, without the steam treatment unit 2. Fig.3 shows an oblique view of the telescopic rail 5, 5A from Fig.2 together with a locking projection element of the support frame 4.

[0063] The telescopic rail 5A comprises a device-fixed part in the form of a guide rail 15, which is attached to the drawer housing 3, and a longitudinally movable part in the form of a running rail 16, which is connected to the support frame 4. Guide rail 15 and running rail 16 are shown here in the first end position, in which they are maximally inserted into one another, corresponding to a retracted steam treatment unit 2.

[0064] Attached to the support frame 4 is a locking projection element in the form of a pin ("pressure pin" 17) that protrudes in the direction of the guide rail 15, the path of which runs linearly along the guide rail 15. Located in this path is a locking receiving element 18 that protrudes dome-like in the direction of the running rail 16 and has a recess or depression 19 in the center. When the steam treatment unit 2 with the support frame 4 extends from the first end position toward the second end position, the pressure pin 17 strikes the locking receiving element 18, slides up along it, and then into the depression 19. With this sliding into the depression 19, the telescopic rail 5A is in the third locking position, from which it can only be disengaged or released again by applying force along the direction of movement above a predetermined threshold.

[0065] In one variant, the pressure pin 17 is a rigid element, e.g., made of metal or hard plastic, while the locking receiving element 18 is made of flexible plastic. The pressure pin 17 can then engage, particularly under elastic deformation of the locking receiving element 18, until it slides into the recess 19, in which case the locking receiving element 18 then springs back. To disengage, the pressure pin 17 must be moved with a force that elastically deforms the locking receiving element 18 until it slides out of the recess 19.

[0066] In another variant, the pressure pin 17 is made of flexible plastic, while the locking receiving element 18 is a rigid element. As it slides over the locking receiving element 18, the pressure pin 17 deforms, e.g., bends or contracts. In yet another variant, both the pressure pin 17 and the locking receiving element 18 are made of flexible plastic. In yet another variant, the pressure pin 17 has a ball that can be elastically pressed into a sleeve.

[0067] What all these variants have in common is that the pressure pin 17 outside the locking receiving element 18 does not need to slide in contact over the guide rail 15, but can be moved at a distance from it.

[0068] Fig. 4 shows an oblique view of a telescopic rail 5, 5B of the household cooking appliance 1, which can be used as an alternative to the telescopic rail 5A. The telescopic rail 5B has a similar basic structure to the telescopic rail 5A. Instead of the projecting locking receiving element 18, a locking receiving element 22 is now inserted into a recess 20 of the guide rail 21 so that it does not protrude, or protrudes practically not at all / only slightly. The locking receiving element 22 has a recess 23 which is arranged in the path of the pressure pin 17. Outside the recess 23, the elastic, in particular soft-elastic, pressure pin 17 presses onto the guide rail 15 and is elastically deformed, e.g. bent. When the guide rail 15 and the running rail 16 are displaced relative to one another, the pressure pin 17 thus generates sliding resistance. When the pressure pin 17 enters the recess 23, it relaxes and can only slide out of the recess 23 again after overcoming a certain force, which is at least partially required to bend the pressure pin 17 again. This design is particularly space-saving. Furthermore, the sliding resistance can be advantageous for preventing excessively rapid relative movement and thus, for example, shaking or sloshing of the food in the steamer tray 20.

[0069] Of course, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. Generally, "a," "an," etc., can be understood as a singular or plural, particularly in the sense of "at least one" or "one or more," etc., unless explicitly excluded, e.g., by the expression "exactly one," etc.

[0070] A numerical value may also include the exact number stated as well as a usual tolerance range, as long as this is not explicitly excluded.
