[0025] DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0026] Figure 1 schematically illustrates an exemplary visual aid device for a mobile device, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Shown in the figure is the visual aid device in a closed state. The visual aid device includes a rigid frame (14) on which a plated lens (12) is mounted, and a foldable arms (16) used to separate the plated lens from the mobile device screen for focusing purposes. The foldable arms (16) are pivotally connected to a mobile phone protective case (18).
[0027] Figure 2 schematically illustrates the exemplary visual aid device, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Shown in the figure is the visual aid device in an open state (22). In this state, the foldable arms (16) are raised and extends out of sockets (20) in the mobile phone protective case (18). The foldable arms (16) lift the frame (14) and the plated lens (12).
[0028] Figure 3 schematically illustrates the exemplary visual aid device, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Shown in the figure is the visual aid device in a disassembled state. The visual aid device is shown integrated in the mobile phone protective case (18) including the foldable arms 16A and 16B. Above the protective case (18) is a mobile phone (24) and above the mobile phone is the plated lens (12) connected to the rigid frame (14).
[0029] Fig. 4 is a side view of the protective case and of the plated lens of Fig.
[0030] 3, without the phone.
[0031] Thus, a lens apparatus 10 for a screen device according to one embodiment of the invention, includes protective case 18 for the phone or for a tablet or other screen device 24; and further includes protective case 18; and further includes arm 16A therebetween.
[0032] A hinge 52A which may include a rolled spring is disposed between arms 16A and 16B, for unfolding them.
[0033] Fig. 5 is a side view of the protective case and of the plated lens of Fig.
[0034] 3, without the phone, at the first step of expanding the plated lens.
[0035] Plated lens 12 includes a central plate 50A; and side plates 50B1 and 50B2, being folded onto central plate 50A.
[0036] A hinge 52B1 which may include a rolled spring is disposed between central plate 50A and side plate 50B1, for unfolding them to state 136, via rotation 138 therebetween. A hinge 52B2 which may include a rolled spring is disposed between central plate 50A and side plate 50B2, for unfolding them.
[0037] Fig. 6 magnifies a plate of Fig. 4. In zone 128, side plate 50B2 includes a round channel 132; and arm 16B includes a round hook 130, for being housed by round channel 132. Hook 130 rotating about hinge 52D, constitutes a latch, as it avoids unfolding side plate 50B2 against rolled spring 50B2.
[0038] Referring again to Fig. 5, unfolding arm 16B removes round hook 130 from round channel 132, for canceling the avoidance of the unfolding.
[0039] Fig. 7 is a top view of the plated lens of Fig. 5, at the first step of the unfolding being of Fig. 5.
[0040] Fig. 8 is the top view of the plated lens of Fig. 5, at the second step of the unfolding.
[0041] Plated lens 12 further includes plates 50C1 and 50C2, being folded onto central plate 50A.
[0042] Fig. 9 is the top view of the plated lens of Fig. 5, at the third step of the unfolding.
[0043] Plated lens 12 further includes plates 50C1 and 50C2, being folded onto plate 50B3 via hinges 52E for expanding therefrom; and plates 50C3 and 50C4, being folded onto plate 50B4, for being expandable therefrom.
[0044] Thus, expanding all plates expands plated lens 12 to be a rectangular being larger than phone 24 of Fig. 3.
[0045] Fig. 10 depicts the expanding of the plated lens according to another embodiment.
[0046] Plate 50B2 may expand from 50A by sliding (150) therealong and therefrom, rather than rotation 138 of Fig. 5.
[0047] Fig. 11 depicts the plated lens according to another embodiment. Plated lens 12 may be smaller than protective case 18, for allowing typing outside plated lens 12.
[0048] Fig. 12 depicts the plated lens according to another embodiment.
[0049] The thickness of plated lens 12 may thicken therealong for providing optical features for viewing the entire of the screen of the phone, even though plated lens 12 is smaller than the screen of the phone.
[0050] Thus, in one aspect, the invention is directed to a lens apparatus(lO) for a screen device(24), the lens apparatus(lO), including:
[0051] - a protective case(18), for confining the screen device(24), for protecting thereof;
[0052] - a plated lens(12); and
[0053] - an arm(16B), extending from the protective case(18) to the plated lens(12), the arm for attaching the plated lens to the screen device(24), and for disposing the plated lens(12) parallel to the screen device(24) distanced therefrom.
[0054] The arm(16B) is expandable, for drawing the plated lens (12) away from the screen device (24).
[0055] The plated lens(12) may be expandable.
[0056] The arm(16B) may include a latch(130), for allowing expanding the expandable plated lens(12) only upon expanding the arm(16B).
[0057] The plated lens(12) may include at least two plates(50A,50B2), for being disposed one on top of the other, and for being disposed one aside of the other. The plated lens(12) may further include a hinge(52B2) for rotating(138) the two plates(50A,50B2) one in relation to the other.
[0058] The plated lens(12) may include:
[0059] - a central plate(50A); and
[0060] - a side plate(50B2), for being disposed on top of the central plate(50A), and for being disposed aside it.
[0061] The plated lens(12) may include:
[0062] - a central plate(50A); and
[0063] - first(50Bl) and second(50B2) side plates, for being disposed on top of the central plate(50A), and for being disposed aside it.
[0064] The plated lens(12) may further include:
[0065] - a third plate(50B3), for being disposed on top of the first(50Bl) and second(50B2) side plates, for being disposed on top of them, and for being disposed aside the central plate(50A).
[0066] The plated lens(12) may further include:
[0067] - a fourth plate(50Cl), for being disposed on top of the third plate(50B3), and for being disposed aside the third plate(50B3).
[0068] The reference numbers in the claims should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any form.
