Description

[0001] A SYSTEM FOR DETECTING UNUSED DATA IN A DATABASE

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The present invention relates to a system for detecting unused data in a database by means of machine learning algorithms.

[0004] Background of the Invention

[0005] Today, the importance of data increases day by day and the data size increases accordingly. Using the existing databases efficiently and reducing inevitable costs are of essential importance. Especially in systems with multiple users, there are objects that are created in a database yet not used. These objects occupy unnecessary space in a database and also cause performance and disk problems.

[0006] For this reason, considering the studies and deficiencies included in the current technique, it is understood that there is a need for a system which enables the objects defined but not used in a database to be detected by extracting the information in the form of object definition information and usage statistics in the respective database by means of machine learning, thereby deleting the objects from the database by presenting the respective unused object list to the users with an interface.

[0007] The Chinese patent document no. CN115374097A, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a device and system for cleaning a database. In the said invention, it is enabled to determine a predetermined cleaning strategy by analyzing the data recorded in the database by obtaining working status information and data protection information. As a result of the analysis, it is enabled to clean the database depending on the predetermined cleaning strategy. The strategies and data protection actions used during the cleaning process are determined by deep learning algorithms by using the historical cleaning strategies of the database. Status analysis is carried out by synchronizing the data protection requirements with the operational data of the database by using deep learning algorithms and it is enabled to keep a record of the data related to the cleaning action to be performed in the database. It is enabled to transmit the information regarding the cleaning operations of the database to the maintenance personnel through notification, and the cleaning analysis report can be queried, published and instructions thereof can be viewed.

[0008] Summary of the Invention

[0009] An object of the present invention is to realize a system developed for detecting unused objects in a database by means of machine learning algorithms.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to realize a system developed for enabling the objects defined but not used in a database to be detected by extracting the information in the form of object definition information and usage statistics in the respective database by means of machine learning, thereby deleting the objects from the database by presenting the respective unused object list to the users with an interface.

[0011] A further object of the present invention is to realize a system developed for preventing disk and performance problems that may occur in databases, saving costs and increasing the speed of applications as the load on the database will be reduced.
