Abstract
Description
[0001] Element for packing at least one plate, kit for transporting plates and method for packing at least one plate
[0002] Technical field of the invention
[0003]
[0001] The present invention relates to an element for packing at least one plate, a kit for transporting plates and a method for packing at least one plate.
[0004] Background art
[0005]
[0002] Plates made of stone material and / or glass and / or other fragile materials are complex to transport, particularly if they have large dimensions and a small thickness.
[0006]
[0003] In fact, the small thickness (with respect to the other dimensions) increases the fragility thereof and, during the transport steps, this constitutes a serious problem.
[0007]
[0004] This problem is particularly perceived in the ceramics field because, in recent years, there has been encountered a strong growth in the demand for ceramic plates of a large format, the main dimensions of which can reach or even exceed (120 x 240) cm2 for a thickness of a few centimetres because they not only confer a unique appearance on the surface on which they are positioned, but are also easy to clean.
[0008]
[0005] Normally, the plates are loaded in groups on specifically provided stands so that they take up a vertical or inclined configuration, reducing the risk that there may occur fractures as a result, for example, of bumps of the vehicle on which the stands are arranged, which bumps could be brought about by potholes or bumps present on the road.
[0009]
[0006] It is also known to use the interposition of expanded material (for example, foam rubber) between the plate and the respective stand or between two adjacent stands in order to damp the potential bumps.
[0010]
[0007] However, this arrangement is not always sufficient because a bump could bring about an abrupt movement of the plate in a direction which is not sufficiently protected by the expanded material.
[0011]
[0008] It is particularly typical for the impact which damages the plate to occur along the perimeter thereof.
[0009] Furthermore, the use of expanded polymers as a result of the relevant high impact on the environment is increasingly opposed by new standards as well as the spirit of environmentalism.
[0012]
[0010] It may also be noted that the transport of a number of plates in a configuration one above the other also involves additional problems in relation to the risk that a relative movement between two contiguous plates may generate the breakage of or damage to one of them (or both of them).
[0013] [Oil] Furthermore, the packing process for the plates of the prior art is particularly time-consuming and consequently expensive because the positioning and alignment operations for the plates and where applicable the expanded material on the stand are mainly carried out manually.
[0014]
[0012] In addition, the transport by means of a stand is particularly disadvantageous for a small quantity of plates because the loading / unloading operations of the stand are particularly laborious and require the use of a movement machine (for example, a forklift truck).
[0015]
[0013] Nevertheless, unless positioning the stand directly inside the installation environment, the plates are not protected in any manner along the route of the stand to the installation environment, exposing them to additional dangers, particularly to peripheral impacts (for example, against a step or an edge of a wall).
[0016]
[0014] In addition, the above-mentioned movement from the stand to the installation environment is usually carried out manually by the operators, who can become injured as a result of the sharp edges of the ceramic plates.
[0017]
[0015] These disadvantages are particularly evident when ceramic plates of a large format are considered because a plate of such dimensions has a mass of several tens of kilograms.
[0018]
[0016] Therefore, this means that a stand loaded with large-format ceramic plates has a mass of several hundreds of kilograms.
[0019]
[0017] Furthermore, as a result of the weight and the high dimensions, where it is not possible to position the stand directly inside the installation environment, it is necessary to move one plate at a time, drastically increasing the chances of damaging or breaking one of them.
[0018] Therefore, it would be desirable to provide an alternative solution for packing one or more plates which is suitable for protecting the one or more plates during the transport operations and which facilitates the logistics thereof.
[0019] It would also be desirable to provide a solution which effectively protects the one or more plates from possible peripheral impacts during transport.
[0020]
[0020] Additionally, it would be desirable to provide a solution which has a low environmental impact.
[0021]
[0021] It would also be desirable to provide a solution which allows the one or more plates to be packed in a particularly simple and convenient manner in terms of time and costs.
[0022]
[0022] It would further be desirable to provide a solution which allows a safe and convenient manual movement of the one or more plates.
[0023]
[0023] It would further be desirable to provide a solution which is particularly congenial for transporting a large-format ceramic plate.

[0034] Brief description of the invention
[0035]
[0034] These and other objects which will be appreciated by the person skilled in the art are achieved by means of an element for packing one or more plates, a kit for transporting plates and a method for packing one or more plates according to the invention.
[0036]
[0035] In a first aspect thereof, the invention is directed towards an element for packing one or more plates comprising a sheet which has a main panel with dimensions not less than those of the plate to be transported and which is provided with peripheral flaps which project from at least two peripheral sides of the main panel. Preferably, there is defined between each of the peripheral flaps and the respective peripheral side of the main panel a respective folding line for folding each of the peripheral flaps substantially on the main panel, with the interposition of the plate to be transported, with a resultant partial covering of the above-mentioned plate by the sheet with a protective function for the plate. Preferably, the main panel further comprises one or more shaped through-incisions near at least one of the peripheral sides, the folding of the one or more pieces of the main panel which are defined by the above-mentioned incisions defining travel limit stop abutments which can be used to block and contain the plate to be transported. Preferably, there is defined between the one or more shaped through-incisions and the at least one of the peripheral sides at least a first portion of the main panel which is free, in other words a portion of the main panel on which the plate to be transported is not supported. Preferably, the element for packing plates further comprises at least one handle for manually moving the element, which is preferably formed at the first free portion of the main panel.
[0037]
[0036] In a preferred embodiment, the element comprises a first shaped opening which is formed at the first portion of the main panel free from the plate to be transported and a second shaped opening which is formed at the peripheral flap which projects from the above-mentioned first portion, which are configured so as to overlap each other when the peripheral flaps are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel so as to define the at least one handle for manually moving the element.
[0038]
[0037] In particular, the shaped through-incisions can be arranged near at least two peripheral sides of the main panel, thereby also defining at least one second portion of the main panel free from the plate to be transported.
[0039]
[0038] In this case, the element for packing plates may advantageously also comprise at least a third shaped opening which is formed at the second portion of the main panel free from the plate to be transported and a fourth shaped opening which is formed at the peripheral flap which projects from the above- mentioned second portion, which are configured so as to overlap each other when the peripheral flaps are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel so as to define at least one second handle for manually moving the element.
[0040]
[0039] Even more particularly, the shaped through-incisions can be arranged near at least two peripheral sides which are opposite each other.
[0041]
[0040] Preferably, there are four shaped through-incisions, one pair being arranged at one of the peripheral sides and a second pair being arranged at the opposite peripheral side.
[0042]
[0041] Optionally, the pieces of the main panel defined by the shaped through- incisions comprise one or more adjusting folding lines which are configured to allow the height of the travel limit stop abutments to be adjusted. In other words, the adjusting folding lines allow the piece to be folded into shapes of different height with respect to the main panel so as to provide an effective abutment for all the potential plates which are supported on the main panel and to prevent the plates positioned above each other from sliding.
[0043]
[0042] Preferably, the above-mentioned adjusting folding lines can be spaced apart from each other by a predefined pitch.
[0044]
[0043] In particular, the pitch may be of 6 mm or 10 mm.
[0045]
[0044] The main panel may comprise at least one tooth which is defined by a through-notch which is placed near the above-mentioned through-incisions and which is configured to block the pieces of the main panel which are defined by the through-incisions in the folded configuration, wherein they constitute travel limit stop abutments for the plate to be transported. In this manner, the piece is retained securely in a folded position so as to provide an effective abutment for the plate.
[0046]
[0045] In detail, a tooth may be provided for each shaped through-incision.
[0047]
[0046] In even greater detail, the tooth may be placed near the or in contact with the respective shaped through-incision.
[0048]
[0047] Even more particularly, it is possible for the pieces of the main panel which are defined by the shaped through-incisions to be provided with a slot which is formed so as to engage with the tooth when it is in the folded configuration.
[0049]
[0048] Optionally, the element for packing plates may comprise at least one shaped aperture which is formed at one of the peripheral flaps.
[0050]
[0049] In particular, the at least one shaped aperture is preferably configured so as to allow the at least one tooth to be inserted therein when the peripheral flaps are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel. The at least one shaped aperture is also preferably suitable for defining a grip for manually moving the element for packing one or more plates.
[0051]
[0050] In detail, the at least one shaped aperture is preferably formed at the peripheral flap which projects from the peripheral side at which the at least one tooth is positioned.
[0052]
[0051] Even more particularly, the element may comprise one shaped aperture for each tooth.
[0053]
[0052] In particular, the sheet may be made from paper material, for example, from cardboard. In the present description, the term "cardboard" is intended to be understood to be any sheet made from paper material with a thickness sufficient to confer thereon a rigidity greater than that of card. More generally, therefore, the term "cardboard" is intended to be understood to be any paper material having a thickness greater than that of paper, having a weight per unit of surface-area greater than that of paper, where applicable constituted by an undulating central layer which is interposed between two lateral planar sheets.
[0053] In particular, the main panel may be rectangular and there may be four above-mentioned peripheral flaps, each one projecting from a respective peripheral side of the main panel. The folding of each of the peripheral flaps on a corresponding portion of the main panel at which the plate to be transported is arranged thereby brings about the protective peripheral covering of the plate.
[0054] Even more particularly, the main rectangular edge may have a width between 120 cm and 170 cm and a length between 245 cm and 340 cm.
[0054]
[0055] In detail, the peripheral flaps can have longitudinal ends which are chamfered in accordance with a shape which is mutually joined so that, in the folded configuration on the main panel, the contiguous longitudinal ends (and therefore the contiguous peripheral flaps) are substantially coplanar.
[0055]
[0056] In even greater detail, the longitudinal ends of the peripheral flaps can be cut in accordance with a line which is inclined at a predefined angle.
[0056]
[0057] For example, the cutting inclination angles may be acute.
[0057]
[0058] In particular, the cutting inclination angles of two contiguous longitudinal ends may be complementary.
[0058]
[0059] In some embodiments, the element for packing plates may comprise a plurality of through-notches which are profiled in a U-shaped manner and which are formed at a peripheral flap and connected in pairs by portions of the folding line which is defined between the above-mentioned peripheral flap and the respective peripheral side.
[0059]
[0060] In particular, the U-shaped through-notches define, when the peripheral flap is in a folded configuration on the main panel, a plurality of peripheral projections. Preferably, the peripheral projections are coplanar with respect to the main panel.
[0060]
[0061] The provision of such peripheral projections provides an effective protection of the plate against lateral impacts. Furthermore, the peripheral projections are configured to prevent straps, tapes, belts, cords and the like which surround the element which contains the plate from sliding along the respective peripheral edge.
[0061]
[0062] Preferably, the element for packing plates may also comprise an additional plurality of through-notches which are profiled in a U-shaped manner and which are formed at the peripheral flap opposite the preceding one and which are connected in pairs by portions of the folding line which is defined on the above-mentioned peripheral flap and the respective peripheral side.
[0062]
[0063] The additional plurality of through-notches which are profiled in a U- shaped manner thereby defines, when the peripheral flap is in the folded configuration on the main panel, an additional plurality of peripheral projections. Preferably, the additional plurality of peripheral projections is coplanar with respect to the main panel.
[0063]
[0064] In particular, the element for packing plates may comprise a blocking unit which can be secured to the external surface of the peripheral flaps when the peripheral flaps are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel for the relevant connection, with resultant blocking of the plate on the main panel.
[0065] Even more particularly, the blocking unit may be a component of the type selected from a strap which is arranged around one end of the main panel and surmounting respective contiguous peripheral flaps which are folded, a batten which is placed above and secured to respective contiguous folded peripheral flaps, a piece of adhesive tape, a covering with a film of polymer material, a clamping belt.
[0064]
[0066] In the above-mentioned first aspect of the invention, the kit for transporting plates comprises at least two elements for packing one or more plates according to what has been described above, which are placed one above the other and at least one mutual securing unit for the elements positioned one above the other, of the type selected from a rope, a tape, a belt, a strap, a polymer sheet which is wrapped above the elements and the like.
[0065]
[0067] In the above-mentioned first aspect of the invention, the method for packing at least one plate comprises the steps of providing an element for packing one or more plates according to what has been described above. Preferably, the method provides for the arrangement of at least one plate on the main panel of the element for packing plates. Preferably, the method provides for folding each of the peripheral flaps substantially on the main panel, with interposition of the plate to be transported, with a resultant partial covering of the above-mentioned plate by the sheet with a protective function for the plate. Preferably, the method provides for folding the pieces of the main panel which are defined by the shaped through-incisions so as to define travel limit stop abutments in order to prevent the at least one plate from sliding with respect to the main panel.
[0066]
[0068] In particular, the method may also comprise a step of adjusting the height of the travel limit stop abutments.
[0069] In detail, the above-mentioned step of adjusting the height of the travel limit stop abutments is carried out by folding the pieces of the main panel which are defined by the shaped through-incisions along one of the adjusting folding lines.
[0067]
[0070] In even greater detail, the method may also comprise a step of reversibly blocking the shaped through-incisions in the folded configuration by means of the at least one tooth.
[0068]
[0071] In detail, the above-mentioned step of reversibly blocking the shaped through-incisions is carried out by inserting the above-mentioned at least one tooth inside the respective slot, which is formed so as to allow the passage thereof when the pieces of the main panel defined by the shaped through- incisions are completely folded and, vice versa, to prevent the passage thereof when they are partially extended.
[0069]
[0072] Optionally, the method may comprise a step of connecting the peripheral flaps by means of at least one blocking unit which can be secured to the external surface of the peripheral flaps when they are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel, with resultant blocking of the plate on the main panel.
[0070]
[0073] In a second aspect thereof, the present invention is directed towards an element for packing at least one plate comprising a sheet, having a main panel which has dimensions not less than those of the plate to be transported and which is provided with peripheral flaps which project from at least two peripheral sides of the main panel. In addition, there is defined between each of the peripheral flaps and the respective peripheral side of the main panel a respective folding line for folding each of the peripheral flaps substantially on the main panel, with the interposition of the plate to be transported, with a resultant partial covering of the above-mentioned plate by the sheet with a protective function for the plate. The element further comprises a plurality of through- notches which are profiled in a U-shaped manner and which are formed at one of the peripheral flaps and which are connected in pairs by portions of the folding line which is defined between the above-mentioned peripheral flap and the respective peripheral side. The U-shaped profiled through-notches define, when the above-mentioned peripheral flap is in the folded configuration on the main panel, a plurality of peripheral projections.
[0074] In the above-mentioned second aspect, the element for packing at least one plate may comprise one or more of the features set out above with reference to the first aspect of the invention.

[0082] Detailed description of the invention
[0083]
[0076] With reference to Figures 1 to 7, there is generally designated 1 an element for packing one or more plates A.
[0084]
[0077] In particular, the element 1 is particularly suitable for packing and transporting a large-format ceramic plate, for example, with dimensions of 120 cm x 240 cm, with a thickness of a few centimetres.
[0078] In a first embodiment of the invention, the element 1 comprises a sheet 2 made of cardboard which in turn comprises a main panel 3 which is substantially rectangular with a width slightly greater than the width of the plate A and a length of approximately 260 cm.
[0085]
[0079] This main panel 3 is advantageously provided with peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 which project from the peripheral sides 8, 9, 10, 11 thereof.
[0086]
[0080] There is defined between each of the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 and the respective peripheral side 8, 9, 10, 11 of the main panel 3 a respective folding line for folding the peripheral flap 4, 5, 6, 7 on the main panel 3 with the interposition of the plate A to be transported.
[0087]
[0081] As a result of the presence of the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 which are substantially folded on the main panel 3, it is possible to obtain a partial covering of the plate A by the sheet 2 with a protective function for the plate A itself, in particular the entire perimeter of the plate A.
[0088]
[0082] In practice, as shown in Figure 5, one of the faces of the plate A is juxtaposed with a surface of the edge 3 while the other face is directed towards the exterior, but all the peripheral edges of this face which is directed outwardly are covered by the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 which will protect the plate A from any possible impacts.
[0089]
[0083] In fact, it shall be noted that, during the transport, movement and storage, the portions of the plate A which are most subjected to striking external components are particularly the peripheral edges thereof which, thanks to the provision of the element 1, are instead effectively covered and protected by a layer of cardboard.
[0090]
[0084] The peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 favourably have longitudinal ends 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a which are chamfered in accordance with a mutually conjugate shape so that, when the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 are in a folded configuration on the main panel 3, the contiguous longitudinal ends 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a (and therefore the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7) are substantially coplanar.
[0091]
[0085] In particular, the longitudinal ends 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a of the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 are cut in accordance with an inclined line at mutually complementary angles o and p, respectively (that is to say, angles, the sum of which corresponds to 90°), for example, 45°.
[0086] There are further formed in the main panel 3 shaped through-incisions near the longitudinally opposite peripheral sides 8 and 10 which define pieces 12 of the main panel 3 which can be raised from the main panel 3 and folded by approximately 180° about themselves, defining respective travel limit stop abutments which are advantageous for blocking and containing the plate A on the main panel 3, as shown in Figures 2 and 3. There are four shaped through- incisions, a first pair which is arranged at the peripheral side 8 and a second pair which is arranged at the opposite peripheral side 10.
[0092]
[0087] In this manner, the pieces 12 which are defined by the shaped through- incisions, once folded, will define an abutment surface which is sufficiently extensive and such as to ensure stable positioning of the plate A.
[0093]
[0088] In practice, the plate A, once supported on the main panel A, is blocked at the longitudinally opposite sides by the travel limit stop abutments which are constituted by the folded pieces 12.
[0094]
[0089] At the folded pieces 12, there is defined a first portion 3a of the main panel 3 which is free from the plate A to be transported, as shown in 2.
[0095]
[0090] As shown in Figure 5, the element 1 further comprises a handle 29 for manually moving the element 1 which is formed at the above-mentioned first portion 3a.
[0096]
[0091] In particular, as shown in Figures 2, 6, 7, the element comprises a first shaped opening 22 which is formed at the first portion 3a and a second shaped opening 25 which is formed at the peripheral flap 4 which projects from the first portion 3a. The first and second shaped openings 22, 25 are configured so as to overlap each other when the peripheral flap 4 is in the folded configuration on the main panel 3 so as to define the handle 29 for manually moving the element 1.
[0097]
[0092] As set out above, the shaped through-incisions which define the pieces 12 are also arranged near the peripheral side 10, thereby also defining a second portion 3b of the main panel 3 which is free from the plate to be transported, as shown in detail in Figure 2.
[0098]
[0093] Advantageously, a third shaped opening 27 is formed at the second portion 3b and a fourth shaped opening 28 is formed at the peripheral flap 6 which projects from the second portion 3b. The third and fourth shaped openings 27, 28 are configured so as to overlap each other at the folded configuration of the peripheral flap 6 on the main panel 3 so as to define a second handle 30 for manually moving the element 1.
[0099]
[0094] Optionally, as shown in the version of Figure 7, the pieces 12 of the main panel 3 which are defined by the shaped through-incisions comprise one or more adjusting folding lines 26 which are configured to allow adjustment of the height of the travel limit stop abutments.
[0100]
[0095] Preferably, the above-mentioned adjusting folding lines 26 can be spaced apart from each other by a predefined pitch.
[0101]
[0096] In particular, the pitch may be of 6 mm or 10 mm.
[0102]
[0097] In order to ensure the stability of the folded pieces 12, it is possible to provide for the main panel 3 to comprise at least one tooth 13 which is defined by a through-cut which is configured for blocking the pieces 12 of the edge 3: the blocking of the pieces which is ensured by the at least one tooth 13 will be such as to maintain them in the configuration folded about themselves, wherein they constitute travel limit stop abutments for the plate A.
[0103]
[0098] In particular, in the exemplary and non-limiting embodiment of Figures 1 to 7, the element 1 comprise a tooth 13 for each piece 12.
[0104]
[0099] Even more particularly, the pieces 12 of the main panel 3 are provided with a slot 23 which is formed so as to allow the passage of the respective tooth 13 when it is completely folded and, vice versa, to prevent the passage thereof when it is partially extended.
[0105]
[0100] In the first embodiment of Figures 1 to 5, the at least one tooth 13 is positioned near the shaped through-incisions which define the pieces 12.
[0106]
[0101] As shown in the embodiment of Figures 6 and 7, however, it is possible to position the at least one tooth 13 "in contact" with the pieces 12 even when in the extended configuration.
[0107]
[0102] In other words, the through-cut which defines the at least one tooth 13 is contiguous with the through-cut which defines the respective piece 12.
[0108]
[0103] It is thereby possible to reduce the dimensions of the main panel 3, reducing the environmental impact of the element 1.
[0109]
[0104] There are further formed in the peripheral flaps 4 and 6 two shaped apertures 24 which are configured so as to engage with the respective teeth 13 when they are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel 3.
[0105] The shaped apertures 24 not only support the respective teeth 13 for blocking the pieces 12 of the edge 3, but also define respective grips which are useful for manually moving the element 1.
[0110]
[0106] The element 1 further comprises a plurality of U-shaped profiled through- notches 14 which are formed at a peripheral flap 5 and which are connected in pairs by portions of the folding line 14a which is defined between the peripheral flap 5 and the respective peripheral side 9.
[0111]
[0107] The U-shaped profiled through-notches 14, as shown in detail in Figure 5, thereby define, when the peripheral flap 5 is in the folded configuration on the main panel 3, a plurality of peripheral projections 15, which are coplanar with respect to the main panel 3 and which are arranged at regular intervals along the peripheral side 9.
[0112]
[0108] Preferably, as shown in Figures 1 to 7, the element 1 comprises an additional plurality of U-shaped profiled through-notches 14' which are formed at the peripheral flap 7 opposite the peripheral flap 5 and which are connected in pairs by portions of the folding line 14'a which is defined between the peripheral flap 7 and the respective peripheral side 11.
[0113]
[0109] The additional plurality of U-shaped profiled through-notches 14', as shown in detail in Figure 5, thereby defines in the folded configuration on the main panel 3 of the peripheral flap 7, an additional plurality of peripheral projections 15' which are also coplanar with respect to the main panel 3 and which are arranged at regular intervals along the peripheral side 11.
[0114]
[0110] In particular, the peripheral projections 15, 15' are configured to provide additional protection for the plate A against lateral impacts and also to prevent straps, tapes, belts, cords and the like, which surround the element 1 containing the plate A, from sliding.
[0115]
[0111] In fact, the element 1 according to the invention comprises a pair of straps 16, 17 which can be secured to the external surface of the peripheral flaps 5 and 7 when they are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel 3, in a state positioned between respective pairs of adjacent peripheral projections 15, 15'. In the exemplary embodiment described here, the peripheral projections 15, 15' are provided only on the pair of longer peripheral sides 9 and 11 of the main panel 3, but there may further be provision for them also to be able to be formed similarly on one or both shorter peripheral sides 8 and 10.
[0116]
[0112] The protection provided by the present invention also extends to a kit 100 for transporting plates A, which is schematically shown in Figure 8 and which comprises at least two elements 1 for packing one or more plates A which overlap each other and at least one mutual securing unit 18-21 for these elements 1 which overlap each other of the type selected from a rope, tape, belt, strap, polymer sheet wrapped above these elements 1, and the like.
[0117]
[0113] Reference will now be made to Figure 9 which schematically shows a method for packing one or more plates.
[0118]
[0114] The method comprises the step SI of providing an element 1 according to what has been described above, for packing plates and the step S2 of folding the pieces 12 which are defined by the shaped through-incisions so as to obtain the travel limit stop abutments for the plate A. If necessary, there is provided a step S3, in which the height of the abutments is adjusted by folding the pieces 12 in a suitable manner about one of the adjusting folding lines 26.
[0119]
[0115] Subsequently, there is provided a step S4, in which the pieces 12 are reversibly blocked in a folded configuration by means of the teeth 13.
[0120]
[0116] In the particular embodiment described here, the step S4 of blocking is carried out by inserting the above-mentioned at least one tooth 13 inside the respective slot 23, which is formed so as to allow the passage thereof when the pieces 12 of the main panel 3 which are defined by the shaped through-incisions are completely folded, and vice versa, to prevent the passage thereof when they are partially extended.
[0121]
[0117] In a subsequent step S5, there is provision for arranging a plate A on the main panel 3 and, in a final step S6, each of the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 is folded substantially on the main panel 3, about the plate A to be transported, with a resultant partial covering of the plate A by the sheet 2 with a protective function for the plate A. Optionally, the method may comprise a step S7 of connecting the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 by means of at least one blocking unit which can be secured to the external surface of the peripheral flaps 4, 5, 6, 7 when they are arranged in the folded configuration on the main panel 3, with resultant blocking of the plate A on the main panel 3.
[0118] From what has been described above, it is evident that the element 1 for packing one or more plates A and the method for packing one or more plates A achieve all the objects set out, overcoming the disadvantages of the prior art.
[0122]
[0119] The element 1 for packing one or more plates A is suitable for protecting the one or more plates A during the transport operations.
[0123]
[0120] In fact, each plate A will have the individual sides and an individual face completely covered by the sheet 2 which constitutes the element 1, therefore being completely protected from accidental impacts as a result of the protective thickness of the sheet 2 made of cardboard.
[0124]
[0121] Furthermore, the overlaying of a multiplicity of elements 1 which contain one or more respective plates A allows them to be mutually arranged so that the face of each plate A which is not completely covered by the respective element 1 faces an additional element 1 so as to overlap each other at the external face of the respective main panel 3, thereby ensuring optimum insulation of each plate A with respect to the external environment.
[0125]
[0122] In addition to this, the element 1 according to the invention enormously facilitates the logistics of the one or more plates A.
[0126]
[0123] In particular, not only does it facilitate the transport of groups of plates A positioned one above the other (as shown above, each of them will be completely protected in any portion thereof when the elements 1 are placed one above the other), but also provides an alternative and advantageous solution for transporting a small quantity of plates.
[0127]
[0124] Even more particularly, the element 1 provides a particularly congenial solution for transporting a large-format ceramic plate.
[0128]
[0125] Nevertheless, the element 1 according to the invention allows the one or more plates also to be protected during the manual transport which is further particularly convenient and safe as a result of the presence of at least one handle 29 which is formed in a portion of the element 1 which is free from the one or more plates A and particularly remote from the sharp edges.
[0129]
[0126] In addition, the element 1 according to the invention has an extremely low environmental impact because cardboard is a material which is not very polluting and can be produced from recycled raw material.
[0130]
[0127] Furthermore, the element 1 according to the invention is potentially reusable a non-specific number of times: in fact, the cardboard of the sheet 2 does not suffer any damage during use and therefore the re-use thereof ensures optimum efficacy thereof in terms of protection of the one or more plates A.
[0131]
[0128] Furthermore, the element 1 according to the invention is recyclable, an intrinsic property of cardboard.
[0132]
[0129] The element 1 according to the invention is further relatively simple to produce in practical terms and with contained costs: these characteristics make the element 1 according to the invention an innovation for safe use.
[0133]
[0130] In addition, the element 1 according to the invention allows effective protection of the one or more plates A from possible peripheral impacts as a result of the peripheral projections 15 which attenuate the impact thereof.
[0134]
[0131] Clearly, the kit 100 for transporting plates according to the invention has all the advantages mentioned above.
[0135]
[0132] Finally, the method for packing one or more plates according to the invention is convenient in terms of time and costs.
[0136]
[0133] In the prior art, in fact, the plates are mainly loaded in groups on stands which are specifically provided so that they take up a vertical or inclined configuration and the positioning and aligning operations of the plates on the stand are carried out mainly manually.
[0137]
[0134] In a different manner, the positioning and aligning operations of the one or more plates on the element 1 are particularly simple (the one or more plates are arranged horizontally inside the element 1) and can therefore be carried out rapidly and readily automated.
[0138]
[0135] The invention may be subjected to a number of modifications and variants, which are all included within the scope of the inventive concept; furthermore, all the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.
[0139]
[0136] In the exemplary embodiments illustrated, individual features which are set out in relation to specific examples may be in reality interchanged with other different features which exist in other exemplary embodiments.
[0140]
[0137] In practice, the materials used and the dimensions may be freely selected in accordance with requirements and the state of the art.
