[0003] It is known to provide a component for a vehicle interior such an armrest or glovebox or sun visor or floor console with a panel / lid as a door to present an overall appearance and style and / or comfort to the vehicle occupant. Such components may be manufactured by securing a soft foam pad to a rigid base / frame and providing a cover wrapped and stapled to the base / frame. Multiple materials and / or manufacturing steps may be required to secure the cover on the base / frame to achieve a desirable appearance (e.g. smooth, unwrinkled, high- quality, etc.).
