[0007] (First embodiment) Hereinafter, an embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the following description, components having substantially the same functions and configurations are denoted by the same reference numerals, and explanations will be provided only when necessary. In addition, the embodiment can be combined with other embodiments, modifications, and conventional techniques.
[0008] Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram for explaining an overview of an information processing system S according to this embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the information processing system S according to this embodiment includes, for example, an information processing device 10 according to this embodiment, and at least one terminal device T1 to TN that can communicate with the information processing device 10 via a network N. The terminal devices T1 to TN are operated by, for example, users P1 to PN, respectively. Note that the configuration of the terminal devices T1 to TN will be described as an example.
[0009] Here, the information processing system S according to this embodiment is, for example, a system that supports document creation and review on a web browser of a terminal device T1. Hereinafter, the service provided by the information processing system S according to this embodiment will be referred to as a document creation support service.
[0010] The documents that the information processing system S of this embodiment deals with are primarily legal documents. In this specification, "documents" refers to documents in any language, for example. Furthermore, in this specification, "legal documents" includes contracts, terms and conditions, and other legal documents, as well as documents created in accordance with certain rules or standards, such as regulations, laws, or customs. For the sake of concreteness, the following description will be given with an example in which the documents handled by the information processing system S are legal documents written in Japanese (e.g., contracts). However, legal documents handled by the information processing system S are not limited to contracts and may be written in any language. For example, they may be company regulations written in English.
[0011] A legal document generally consists of, for example, a title, preamble, body, conclusion, date, and signature section. For example, if the legal document is a contract, the title is the title of the contract and generally indicates the type of contract described in the contract. The preamble is a sentence that briefly describes the parties to the contract and the history of the contract. The body is a sentence that specifically describes the content of the contract. Generally, the body is composed of three sections: "article," "paragraph," and "item." The conclusion is a sentence that describes the number of contracts created and the holders of the contracts. The date is the date the contract was signed. The signature section is a section where the parties to the contract enter their signatures. Note that the structure varies depending on the type of legal document, but generally, all legal documents include a body, which is divided into at least "articles." Articles within the body are numbered consecutively.
[0012] In the information processing system S of this embodiment, document data of a legal document is divided into edit units, and functions for editing each of the divided edit units and associating review information for each edit unit are provided. In this embodiment, an edit unit corresponds to, for example, at least an article in the document data.
[0013] In this specification, document data refers to information in which a document has been digitized using word processing software in an editable format, regardless of the data format. Document data is typically text data, but can also include image data, tabular data, and other data. Furthermore, documents or document data may include, as necessary, meta-information (version, creation date, update date, creator, updater, etc.) created by word processing software, format information (decorations such as underlines and highlights, font, indentation, etc.), change history information, comment information, and the like.
[0014] In addition, the document creation support service provided by the information processing system S of this embodiment is a service that includes at least one of the following: performing a document review process on document data to be supported on a web browser and providing the results to the user; performing document editing in response to instructions from the user; saving the edited document or providing it to the user; editing additional information associated with the document data to be supported (e.g., meta information, comment information, chat information, format information, etc.); creating a new document (including copies); comparing multiple documents (e.g., clearly indicating difference information); and automatically proofreading the document data to be supported.
[0015] In this specification, a document review process refers to a process of analyzing or evaluating information contained in document data to be supported based on certain criteria and outputting the results. For example, a document review process includes checking and examining whether the information contained in the document data to be supported is appropriate based on certain criteria. Specifically, the process includes comparing the text in the document with a pre-prepared checklist and outputting the results of the comparison or any issues noted in the checklist. Furthermore, editing refers to adding, deleting, or changing information contained in the target data.
[0016] The review information generated by the review process is, for example, text information including findings about the document data based on the standards of the legal document to which the document data belongs.
[0017] The meta information associated with the document data to be supported includes, for example, at least one of the following: document ID, document type (e.g., basic transaction agreement, non-disclosure agreement, outsourcing contract, etc.), version, creation date and time, update date and time, upload date and time, creator, updater, deadline, and document ID of related document.
[0018] In this embodiment, the comment information associated with the document data to be supported is additional information created by at least one user involved in the creation of the document, and is associated and managed for each version of the document data to be supported. The comment information associated with the document data to be supported is typically information separate from comments created by word processing software, but can also include comments created by word processing software as necessary.
[0019] In this embodiment, chat information refers to additional information generated by multiple users involved in the creation of the document data of the support target using a chat function for the document data, and is managed, for example, in association with multiple versions of the document data of the support target. This additional information is typically text data, but can also include other data formats such as images and audio.
[0020] The document data to be supported in this embodiment may be a document file uploaded from the terminal device T1, a file newly created on an online editor, or a file that has already been uploaded and saved and / or edited.
[0021] In this embodiment, the terminal device T1 is a client device managed by a user P1 who uses the document creation support service. The terminal device T1 displays the document review results and editing data on the screen of a display device while positionally associating them with each other, based on information from the information processing device 10, for example. In this embodiment, the user can use the document review results and editing screen displayed on the screen of the display device of the terminal device T1 to perform operations such as document review reference, comment input, comment reference, chat information input, chat information reference, document editing processing, and document storage for the document data to be supported.
[0022] Next, the specific configurations of the information processing device 10 and the terminal device T1 of this embodiment will be described.
[0023] (Hardware Configuration of Information Processing Device 10) Fig. 2 is a block diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the information processing device 10 according to the embodiment. The information processing device 10 according to the embodiment is connected to terminal devices T1 to TN via communication and performs various processes in response to requests from the terminal devices T1 to TN. The information processing device 10 is managed, for example, by a provider that provides document creation support services. For example, the information processing device 10 provides the document creation support service to the terminal device T1 in response to a document creation support instruction received from the terminal device T1 as a client device via the network N.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 2, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment is a computer, and includes, as an example, a processor 11, a main storage device (memory) 13, an auxiliary storage device (storage) 15, a network interface 17, a device interface 18, and a bus 19 connecting each component.
[0025] The information processing device 10 of this embodiment shown in Figure 2 includes one of each component, but may also include multiple of the same component. Also, while Figure 2 shows one information processing device 10, the software may be installed on multiple computers, with each of the multiple computers executing the same or different parts of the software. In this case, a form of distributed computing may be used in which each computer communicates with the other computers via a network interface 17 or the like to execute the processing. In other words, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment may be configured as a system that realizes various functions described below by having one or more computers execute instructions stored in one or more storage devices.
[0026] Various calculations of the information processing device 10 of this embodiment may be executed in parallel using one or more processors 11, or using multiple computers via a network. Furthermore, various calculations may be distributed to multiple processing cores within the processor 11 and executed in parallel. Furthermore, some or all of the processes, means, etc. disclosed herein may be executed by at least one of a processor and a storage device provided on a cloud that can communicate with the information processing device 10 via a network. Thus, the processing of the information processing system S of this embodiment may be executed in the form of parallel computing using one or more computers.
[0027] The processor 11 may be an electronic circuit (such as a processing circuit, processing circuitry, CPU (Central Processing Unit), GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), or ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit)) including a control device and an arithmetic device of the information processing device 10. The processor 11 may also be a semiconductor device including a dedicated processing circuit. The processor 11 is not limited to an electronic circuit using electronic logic elements, and may be realized by an optical circuit using optical logic elements. The processor 11 may also include an arithmetic function based on quantum computing.
[0028] The processor 11 performs arithmetic processing based on data and software (programs) input from each device, etc., configured internally of the information processing device 10, and can output arithmetic results and control signals to each device, etc. The processor 11 may control each component constituting the information processing device 10 by executing an OS (Operating System), applications, etc. of the information processing device 10.
[0029] The information processing device 10 in this embodiment may be realized by one or more processors 11. Here, the processor 11 may refer to one or more electronic circuits arranged on one chip, or may refer to one or more electronic circuits arranged on two or more chips or two or more devices. When multiple electronic circuits are used, the electronic circuits may communicate with each other via wire or wirelessly.
[0030] The main memory device 13 in this embodiment is a storage device that stores instructions executed by the processor 11 and various data, and information stored in the main memory device 13 is read by the processor 11. The auxiliary memory device 15 is a storage device other than the main memory device 13 and may be composed of a storage medium such as an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) or flash memory. Note that these storage devices refer to any electronic component capable of storing electronic information and may be semiconductor memory. The semiconductor memory may be either volatile memory or nonvolatile memory. The storage device for saving various data used in the information processing device 10 in this embodiment may be realized by the main memory device 13 or the auxiliary memory device 15, or may be realized by an internal memory built into the processor 11. For example, the main memory device 13 and the auxiliary memory device 15 may be collectively referred to as a storage unit or a storage device.
[0031] Multiple processors 11 may be connected (coupled) to one storage device (main storage device 13 and / or auxiliary storage device 15), or a single processor 11 may be connected. Multiple storage devices may be connected (coupled) to one processor 11. When the information processing device 10 in this embodiment is configured with at least one storage device and multiple processors connected (coupled) to this at least one storage device, it may include a configuration in which at least one of the multiple processors is connected (coupled) to at least one storage device. This configuration may also be realized by storage devices and processors 11 included in multiple computers. Furthermore, it may include a configuration in which a storage device is integrated with the processor 11 (for example, a cache memory including an L1 cache and an L2 cache).
[0032] The network interface 17 of this embodiment is an interface for connecting to the network N wirelessly or via a wire. The network interface 17 may be an appropriate interface, such as one conforming to an existing communication standard. Information may be exchanged with an external device connected via the network N through the network interface 17. The network N may be a wide area network (WAN), a local area network (LAN), a personal area network (PAN), or a combination thereof, as long as information is exchanged between the information processing device 10 and the external device. An example of a WAN is the Internet, an example of a LAN is IEEE 802.11 or Ethernet (registered trademark), and an example of a PAN is Bluetooth (registered trademark) or NFC (Near Field Communication), etc.
[0033] The device interface 18 of this embodiment is an interface such as a USB (Universal Serial Bus) that directly connects to an output device such as a display device, an input device, or an external device. The external device may also be a storage device (memory), network storage, or HDD. The external device may also be a device that has some of the functions of the components of the information processing device 10 of this embodiment. In other words, the information processing device 10 may transmit or receive some or all of the processing results of the external device. The display device connected to the device interface 18 may be, for example, a liquid crystal display (LCD), a cathode ray tube (CRT), a plasma display panel (PDP), or an organic electroluminescence (EL) panel. Various input interfaces, such as a keyboard, a mouse, or a touchpad, can be used as the input device connected to the device interface 18. Furthermore, the information processing device 10 may be configured to include an output device such as a display device and an input device.
[0034] (Hardware Configuration of Terminal Device T1) Fig. 3 is a block diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the terminal device T1 according to this embodiment. In the document creation support service, the terminal device T1 according to this embodiment displays various operation screens and documents generated by the information processing device 10. In addition, the terminal device T1 transmits information related to operations by the user P1 to the information processing device 10.
[0035] 3, the terminal device T1 is a computer, and includes, as an example, a processor 21, a main storage device (memory) 23, an auxiliary storage device (storage) 25, a network interface 27, a device interface 28, a bus 29 connecting the respective components, a display device 30 connected to the device interface 28, and an input device 31 connected to the device interface 28. Note that the specific hardware configurations of the processor 21, the main storage device 23, the auxiliary storage device 25, the network interface 27, the device interface 28, and the bus 29 are similar to those of the processor 11, the main storage device 13, the auxiliary storage device 15, the network interface 17, the device interface 18, and the bus 19, respectively, and therefore description thereof will be omitted. Specific examples of the terminal device T1 include, but are not limited to, a PC (Personal Computer) or a tablet terminal.
[0036] The display device 30 is a display device such as an LCD, a CRT, a PDP, an organic EL panel, etc. Based on instructions from the processor 21, the display device 30 displays, for example, a document creation support screen, which will be described later.
[0037] The input device 31 is a device such as a keyboard, a mouse, or a touch panel. The user P1 can input various editing instructions, for example, in a document editing process, using the input device 31. The instructions input from the input device 31 are sent to the processor 21.
[0038] The terminal device T1 may also include other external devices (for example, a camera, a microphone, a motion capture device, various sensors, etc.) connected via the device interface 18 in order to manipulate and edit document data.
[0039] (Functional Configuration of Information Processing Device 10) Next, the functional configuration of the information processing device 10 will be described. FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an example of functional blocks of the information processing device 10 according to this embodiment. The information processing device 10 includes, for example, an acquisition unit 111, a division unit 112, an analysis unit 113, an edit processing unit 114, a first control unit 115, and a storage processing unit 116 as functions realized by the processor 11. The functions realized by the acquisition unit 111, the division unit 112, the analysis unit 113, the edit processing unit 114, the first control unit 115, and the storage processing unit 116 are each stored as a program in, for example, the main storage device 13 or the auxiliary storage device 15. The processor 11 can realize various functions (the acquisition unit 111, the division unit 112, the analysis unit 113, the edit processing unit 114, the first control unit 115, and the storage processing unit 116) by reading and executing the program stored in the main storage device 13 or the auxiliary storage device 15.
[0040] The acquisition unit 111 of this embodiment acquires document data to be created with support. The acquisition unit 111 may acquire document data uploaded from the terminal device T1 via the network N, may acquire a file of document data newly created on an online editor or created based on a template, or may acquire a file of document data that has already been uploaded and saved and / or edited from the auxiliary storage device 15.
[0041] The dividing unit 112 of this embodiment divides the acquired or saved document data into appropriate units, specifically, into editing units corresponding to at least articles. More specifically, the dividing unit 112 of this embodiment divides the main text of the document data of a legal document into each article contained in the main text. Furthermore, the dividing unit 112 can divide the portion of the document data of a legal document that does not have articles other than the main text into editing units by category, such as preamble, conclusion, date, signature field, etc. The portion of the document data included in each editing unit is referred to as editing unit data corresponding to the editing unit.
[0042] The dividing unit 112 detects the boundaries of editing units based on, for example, sentences (text data) included in the document data. For example, if a sentence includes an article number such as "Article 1," the dividing unit 112 identifies a range of one or more sentences that form a group following the article number and sets the range as the editing unit corresponding to the article number. For example, the sentences of "paragraph" and "item" under the detected article number are included in the editing unit of the article number. Furthermore, sentences within one article may cite other articles. If an article number is located in the middle of a sentence rather than at the beginning of the editing unit, the dividing unit 112 can determine that the article number is the quoted article number and perform processing that does not use the article number as a boundary of editing units. This allows the editing units to be set appropriately.
[0043] The analysis unit 113 of this embodiment executes a document review process using document data to be supported. That is, the analysis unit 113 generates document review information for the document data as part of the document review process. The document review information is also referred to as review information or analysis information.
[0044] The analysis unit 113 of this embodiment extracts, for example, information contained in a document (document data) and necessary for generating review information. Various techniques can be employed to extract information from document data. For example, a keyword search of the document data may be performed to extract alphanumeric characters, etc., contained near the keyword. Information may also be extracted using morphological analysis, syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, or contextual analysis. Information may also be extracted using natural language processing using machine learning. Prior to these processes, information necessary for document review, such as text data, may be extracted from the received document data, or text data may be extracted from image data using OCR or other processing. Document review processing may also be performed on the received document without extracting information necessary for generating document review information, as described above.
[0045] The analysis unit 113 of this embodiment performs a document review process and generates document review information. The document review information includes, for example, findings about the document data based on the standards of the legal document to which the document data belongs. Specifically, the document review information is based on information obtained by analyzing the document based on rules or standards applicable to the document (e.g., certain regulations, laws, or customs). For example, review information for a contract may include: (1) a finding as to whether clauses contained in the document (in this embodiment, the contract) are favorable or unfavorable to the user (the parties); (2) advice regarding the modification or deletion of clauses contained in the contract; (3) a finding as to whether items or article numbers that should normally be included in the contract are missing or duplicated, and suggestions for items or article numbers to be added or modified; and (4) information on the importance or recommended level of each review result item. The document review information may also include formatting information, such as whether the text format meets standards, and whether specified terminology is used. For example, the document review information may include content suggesting the modification of article numbers if there are missing or duplicated article numbers. Furthermore, the analysis unit 113 may detect missing information in the document data. If there is missing information, the review information may include content suggesting the insertion of the missing information.
[0046] The analysis unit 113 can use various techniques to generate document review information. For example, the extracted information can be used to generate document review information based on a rule base. Alternatively, a trained model can be used that receives the extracted information as input and outputs corresponding document review information. Furthermore, a combination of a rule-based approach and a trained model can be used.
[0047] The analysis unit 113 can also generate document review information according to the perspective of the user (the party) by using meta-information associated with the document data to be supported. Furthermore, the analysis unit 113 can also generate document review information by referring to the contents of other documents (other versions of the document data to be supported, other contracts related to the document data, etc.). Meta-information includes information added to the document file itself, such as information about the document creator, and information added by the user, etc., by inputting it separately from the file.
[0048] The analysis unit 113 of this embodiment associates the edit units divided by the division unit 112 with review information for the portions of the document data to be supported that are included in the edit units.
[0049] In addition, the division unit 112 and / or analysis unit 113 of this embodiment may perform the division and / or analysis process of the document data after receiving an editing instruction from user P1, or may perform the division and / or analysis process of the document data before receiving an editing instruction from user P1, for example, when the document data is uploaded or created.
[0050] The editing processing unit 114 of this embodiment converts the data format of the document to be supported (document data) to generate editing data. For example, the editing processing unit 114 converts document data in "DOCX" format received via the first control unit 115 into "JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)" format to generate editing data. Note that the "DOCX" format is an example of a data format for document data created by word processing software, and the format of the document data before conversion is not limited to this format. Furthermore, the format of the converted document data is not limited to the "JSON" format as long as it is suitable for processing and transmitting text data. Note that the editing processing unit 114 of this embodiment may convert document data to editing data after receiving an editing instruction from user P1, or may convert document data to editing data before receiving an editing instruction from user P1, for example, when the document data is uploaded or created. Furthermore, the dividing unit 112 and / or the analyzing unit 113 of this embodiment may perform dividing and / or analyzing processes on the editing data after the editing processing unit 114 converts the document data into editing data. Alternatively, after the division unit 112 and / or analysis unit 113 of this embodiment performs division and / or analysis processing on the document data, the editing processing unit 114 of this embodiment may perform conversion processing on the divided and / or analyzed document data into editing data.
[0051] Furthermore, the editing processing unit 114 of this embodiment executes editing processing on the data to be edited in response to an editing instruction received from the terminal device T1 via the first control unit 115. Here, the editing processing executed by the editing processing unit 114 includes, for example, adding, deleting, and changing information included in the data to be edited. More specifically, it includes adding, modifying, and deleting words, sentences, and character decorations (for example, font, character color, character size, character thickness, underlining, strikethrough, etc.) to the data to be edited.
[0052] Furthermore, the editing process performed by the editing processing unit 114 of this embodiment can be performed for each editing unit divided by the dividing unit 112. For example, the editing processing unit 114 edits the document data for each editing unit specified by the user of the terminal device T1. Editing of the document data includes changing and moving the document data. For example, the editing processing unit 114 performs a process of moving an editing unit corresponding to a certain article with an editing unit corresponding to another article, under user operation. For example, when an editing unit corresponding to an article in the document data is moved, the editing processing unit 114 updates the number of each article so that the numbers of each article included in the document data are sequential and ascending in order to match the position after the move. For example, when an editing unit corresponding to an article in the document data is deleted or added, the editing processing unit 114 also updates the number of each article so that the numbers of each article included in the document data after the deletion or addition are sequential and ascending in order. For example, when the number of each article is updated, the editing processing unit 114 also updates the review information corresponding to the editing unit of the article so that it is linked to the updated number of each article. Note that the updating of the article number may be defined in the layout information described later so that it can be executed by the browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 described later.
[0053] The first control unit 115 of this embodiment communicates information with the terminal device T1 via the network N. Specifically, the first control unit 115 receives various instructions, such as document data, document review instructions, editing instructions, and save instructions, transmitted from the terminal device T1. The first control unit 115 also transmits editing screen information (including information for executing document editing processing on the terminal device T1 side) to the terminal device T1. The first control unit 115 receives information including document data after editing processing from the terminal device T1.
[0054] The first control unit 115 of this embodiment generates layout information in the document review process and the document editing process. Here, the layout information in the document review process is, for example, information for displaying, on a browser screen of the terminal device T1, the document review information generated by the document review process and the editing units or support target documents to which the document review information corresponds in a predetermined format with their positions associated with each other. The layout information in the document editing process is, for example, information for displaying, on a browser screen of the terminal device T1, the document review information generated by the document review process and the editing data generated by the document editing process in a predetermined format with their positions associated with each other. More specifically, the first control unit 115 of this embodiment generates layout information that is displayed on the screen in a format that allows editing of document data for each editing unit and in a display mode that allows the correspondence between the editing units and the associated review information to be visually recognized.
[0055] Note that "mutual positional correspondence" refers to corresponding displayed positions to facilitate user viewing, specifically, corresponding positions on the screen, for example, by clause, paragraph, or sentence.
[0056] In addition, the first control unit 115 of this embodiment generates document creation support screen information that defines a document creation support screen on which the user P1 can start the document creation support process. The document creation support screen is, for example, a screen on which document data to be supported can be uploaded. In addition, the first control unit 115 of this embodiment generates preview screen information that defines a preview screen on which the uploaded document data can be previewed. The document creation support screen information and the preview screen information may be included in the layout information.
[0057] Furthermore, associating the positions of the document review information with the editing data generated by the document editing process includes, for example, displaying the corresponding portions closer to each other in the height or width direction on the screen than other portions, more preferably displaying them side by side. Furthermore, when additional information is also displayed, the layout information includes information for associating the positions of the additional information with the document review information and the editing data.
[0058] In this embodiment, the first control unit 115 generates layout information defined to move review information when one of the edit units included in the document data is selected on the browser screen so that review information corresponding to the selected edit unit is displayed next to the selected edit unit. Furthermore, the first control unit 115 generates layout information defined to move the display range of the document data when one of the review information included in the document data is selected on the browser screen so that the edit unit corresponding to the selected review information is displayed next to the selected review information. The layout information is an example of display control information in this embodiment.
[0059] The layout information may be generated by any method. For example, by assigning coordinates to each edit unit and associating the coordinates with the corresponding document review information, the edit unit and the document review information may be associated with each other in terms of display positions.
[0060] In this embodiment, the first control unit 115 transmits various types of information, such as document review information generated by the analysis unit 113, editing data generated by the editing processing unit 114, and layout information generated by the first control unit 115, in response to a request from the terminal device T1. The first control unit 115 also transmits editing screen information (including information for executing editing processing on the terminal device T1 side) to the terminal device T1. The first control unit 115 also receives information including document data after editing processing from the terminal device T1.
[0061] The layout information and data format transmitted by the first control unit 115 to the terminal device T1 is a format that allows control of display, such as HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) data or script (e.g., Java (registered trademark) Script) that can be executed by a general web browser. Note that, in addition to a web browser, a dedicated application, for example, may be used as a method for displaying various screens on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1.
[0062] The storage processing unit 116 of this embodiment stores in the auxiliary storage device 15 the document data uploaded from the terminal device T1, the division results of the document data, the new version of the document data generated from the editing data by the document editing process, additional information associated with each document data, etc.
[0063] (Functional Configuration of Terminal Device T1) Next, the functional configuration of the terminal device T1 of this embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an example of functional blocks of the terminal device T1 according to this embodiment. The terminal device T1 includes, for example, a second control unit 211 and a browser unit 212 as functions realized by the processor 21. The functions realized by the second control unit 211 and the browser unit 212 are each stored as a program in, for example, the main storage device 23 or the auxiliary storage device 25. The processor 21 can realize various functions (the second control unit 211 and the browser unit 212) by reading and executing the program stored in the main storage device 23 or the auxiliary storage device 25.
[0064] The second control unit 211 of this embodiment starts up the browser unit 212 in response to an instruction from the user P1, for example.
[0065] The browser unit 212 is, for example, a general web browser, and executes processing in accordance with HTML data, scripts, etc. When the browser unit 212 is started, for example, it transmits an initial access URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to the information processing device 10 and accesses it.
[0066] The browser unit 212 of this embodiment displays data including text data and image data received from the information processing device 10 in a predetermined format on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1. More specifically, in the document review process, the browser unit 212 displays the document review information, document data, additional information, etc. received from the information processing device 10 in a predetermined format based on layout information on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1. The browser unit 212 of this embodiment also receives editing screen information (including information for executing the document editing process) from the first control unit 115. The browser unit 212 of this embodiment also receives editing screen information (including information for executing the editing process) from the first control unit 117 and executes the editing process. In the document editing process, the browser unit 212 of this embodiment displays the document review information, editing data divided into editing units, additional information, etc. received from the information processing device 10 in a predetermined format based on layout information on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1. In other words, the browser unit 212 causes the display device 30 to display a screen generated by the first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10 .
[0067] Furthermore, the browser unit 212 of this embodiment transmits operations performed by the user P1 on the screen displayed on the display device 30 to the information processing device 10 via the network N. For example, in response to a document upload instruction from the user P1, the browser unit 212 transmits document data to be supported to the information processing device 10. Furthermore, for example, the browser unit 212 transmits to the information processing device 10 instructions input by the user to display a document creation support screen, to start a review process, to start editing, and to save the edited document data.
[0068] The browser unit 212 also edits the document data based on various operations performed by the user P1 on the editing screen of the web browser. The editing operations available to the user P1 are defined, for example, in layout information generated by the information processing device 10. In this embodiment, the browser unit 212 accepts editing of the document data by the user P1 for each editing unit divided by the dividing unit 112 of the information processing device 10.
[0069] 6 to 10, various screens displayed on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1 by the browser unit 212 will be described. The display of each screen is defined by, for example, layout information generated by the first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10.
[0070] 6 is a diagram showing an example of a document creation support screen 300 displayed on the display device 30 of the terminal device T1 in the document review process according to this embodiment. The document creation support screen 300 is, as an example, a document editing screen including an editing area 310 in which document data is displayed, and a document review area 320. In the example shown in FIG. 6, the editing area 310 is located on the left side of the screen, and the document review area 320 is located on the right side.
[0071] In this embodiment, the editing area 310 displays document data for which creation assistance is required. In this embodiment, the document data is a contract containing clauses with consecutive article numbers. User P1 can edit the document data displayed in the editing area 310 by operating the web browser. The editing area 310 can also display strikethroughs indicating deletions and underlines indicating additions. It is also possible to display only the latest state of the document data without displaying the editing history.
[0072] In this embodiment, additional information such as comments, review information, and chat information on the document data for which creation assistance is being provided is displayed in the document review area 320. In the example shown in FIG. 6, comments on the document data entered by the user are displayed in the document review area 320.
[0073] User P1 can input an instruction to save the edited data by, for example, pressing a save button 301 on the document creation support screen 300. User P1 can also select the type of additional information to be displayed in the document review area 320 using various buttons 302 on the document creation support screen 300. Note that the system may automatically save the edited data.
[0074] FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of the display mode of edit units of document data in the document review process according to this embodiment. In this embodiment, when user P1 hovers the mouse pointer 40 over document data or clicks somewhere in the document data with the mouse, the edit unit corresponding to the hovered or clicked position is selected as the edit target. In the example shown in FIG. 7, the mouse pointer 40 is positioned over the edit unit corresponding to Article 1. In this case, a frame 311 surrounding the scope of Article 1 is displayed on the document creation support screen 300. Of the document data displayed on the document creation support screen 300, the portion surrounded by the frame 311 corresponds to one edit unit data.
[0075] In this embodiment, the browser unit 212 targets the edit unit specified by the user P1 of the terminal device T1 as the current edit operation target of the document data. For this reason, for example, when the shortcut key Ctrl+a (pressing the control key and the "A" key on the keyboard simultaneously) is used to select all within the edit unit, only the text within the frame 311 of the edit unit is selected.
[0076] In the example shown in FIG. 7, a plus button 303a, an up arrow button 303b, and a down arrow button 303c are displayed below a frame 311 surrounding the editing unit.
[0077] The plus button 303a is an example of a button that accepts an operation to add an input box for a new edit unit before or after, for example, below, a certain edit unit. For example, when user P1 performs an operation to add a new article to document data on the document creation support screen 300, user P1 presses the plus button 303a. This adds a new edit unit frame 311 to the document data, allowing user P1 to add the content of the new article in the blank edit unit frame 311. For example, when user P1 presses the plus button 303a on the document creation support screen 300 shown in FIG. 7, a frame in which a new Article 2 can be written is added below Article 1. In this embodiment, when user P1 writes the new Article 2 and then presses the save button 301 to save the document data, the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 updates the numbers of each article so that the numbers of each article included in the document data after the new Article 2 is added are sequentially numbered in ascending order. In this case, the pre-change Article 2 shown in Figure 7 becomes Article 3, and the pre-change Article 3 becomes Article 4. This makes it easy to edit the document. Note that updating the clause numbers when saving document data is just an example, and they may be updated as needed regardless of the saving process.
[0078] The up arrow button 303b and the down arrow button 303c displayed around the editing unit are examples of buttons that accept an operation to move the editing unit. In this embodiment, the up arrow button 303b is a button that accepts an operation to exchange the position of the editing unit surrounded by the frame 311 with the position of the editing unit one level above. In this embodiment, the down arrow button 303c is a button that accepts an operation to exchange the position of the editing unit surrounded by the frame 311 with the position of the editing unit one level below. For example, when user P1 presses the down arrow button 303c on the document creation support screen 300 shown in FIG. 7 , the positions of Article 1 and Article 2 are swapped. Then, when user P1 moves Article 1 and then presses the save button 301 to save the document data, the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 updates the numbers of each article included in the document data to match the moved position so that the numbers are sequentially numbered in ascending order. Note that the editing unit may be moved by drag and drop with a mouse or by keyboard input, in addition to using the up arrow button 303b and the down arrow button 303c.
[0079] Furthermore, if there is no more editing data in the editing unit, for example, by deleting all the characters in box 311, the article corresponding to that box and the editing unit may be deleted. Thereafter, when user P1 deletes all the characters in box 311 on the document creation support screen 300 shown in FIG. 7 and then saves the document data by, for example, pressing the save button 301, the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 updates the pre-change Article 2 to Article 1 and the pre-change Article 3 to Article 2. Note that even if all the characters in box 311 are deleted on the document creation support screen 300, the text data before deletion may be retained as history. In this case, if user P1 selects the document with the deleted old Article 1, box 311 is displayed as a frame surrounding the old Article 1.
[0080] 8 shows an example of a screen in which a quoted article is displayed as a pop-up in the document review process according to this embodiment. When an article included in a certain edit unit is cited in a sentence included in another edit unit, the layout information is defined so that when the edit unit is selected, the cited article is displayed in association with the edit unit.
[0081] In the example shown in Fig. 8, Article 2 is quoted within the text of Article 1 in box 311, which is designated as the object to be edited. Therefore, when Article 1 is the object to be edited, Article 2 is displayed adjacent to Article 1, preferably next to it. In the example shown in Fig. 8, a pop-up screen 340 displaying Article 2 is displayed next to box 311 surrounding Article 1. Furthermore, highlighting such as marker 350 is added to the portions of box 311 that cite other articles.
[0082] Preferably, the pop-up screen 340 also includes a link 341 that allows a user to jump to the description of another quoted edit unit. For example, when user P1 clicks link 341, Article 2 in the edit area 310 is displayed. In the example shown in Figure 8, the quoted Article 2 is originally displayed on the screen, but if, for example, Article 10, which is not displayed when Article 1 is displayed, is quoted, when user P1 clicks link 341, the edit area 310 may be automatically scrolled to display Article 10.
[0083] 9 is a diagram showing an example of the positional relationship between articles and the review information corresponding to the articles in the document review process according to this embodiment. In the example shown in FIG. 9, review information generated by the analysis unit 113 of the information processing device 10 is displayed as alerts in the document review area 320 in association with articles, which are editing units. Each alert may be displayed in a different color or other display mode depending on its level of importance.
[0084] For example, if an editing unit corresponding to Article 3 displayed in editing area 310 is selected as the object to be edited, review information for Article 3 is displayed next to Article 3 in document review area 320. Furthermore, for example, when there is a large amount of review information, the layout information may be defined to move the review information so that the review information corresponding to the selected editing unit is displayed next to the selected editing unit when one of the editing units included in the document data is selected on document creation support screen 300. Conversely, the layout information may be defined to change the display range of the document data so that the editing unit corresponding to the selected review information is displayed next to the selected review information when any piece of review information is selected on document creation support screen 300.
[0085] 9, review information may be associated with a specific portion (e.g., a word or a sentence) in an edit unit. In this case, a highlight such as a mark 351 or a marker 352 may be added to the portion associated with the review information.
[0086] Furthermore, the editing area 310 and the document review area 320 may be scrollable by the user P1 using individual scroll bars 360a, 360b, respectively, but when any editing unit or review information is selected, it is preferable that the display range of the editing area 310 and the document review area 320 be changed by automatic scrolling so that the editing unit and the corresponding review information are aligned side by side.
[0087] Furthermore, if the analysis unit 113 of the information processing device 10 detects that a description in the document data is missing or missing, the review information may include content recommending or suggesting the insertion of the missing or missing description. For example, if the analysis unit 113 determines that adding the missing or missing description within an editing unit is appropriate, the location for writing the missing or missing description may be specified within the editing unit. For example, if the analysis unit 113 determines that adding a new editing unit as a new article is appropriate, the insertion of a new article may be suggested. In this case, the layout information is defined so that the review information suggesting the insertion of the missing description is displayed in association with the editing unit including the sentence related to the missing description. In the example shown in FIG. 9 , review information indicating "Omission," which suggests adding a new article as Article 6 after Article 5, is displayed in association with Article 5 in the document review area 320. When user P1 edits document data in accordance with the review information, for example, he or she may select Article 5 as the object to be edited, and then press the plus button 303a to display a frame 311 below Article 5 in which a new Article 6 can be written, or by another operation, an editing unit in which content recommended for addition as Article 6 has already been entered may be inserted.
[0088] Furthermore, for example, if there are missing or duplicated article numbers in the original document data, i.e., if the article numbers are not consecutive, review information indicating the existence of the missing or duplicated article numbers and suggesting that the article numbers be corrected is displayed in association with the editing unit of the missing or duplicated number and the adjacent article numbers. For example, if Article 6 follows Article 4 in the document data, review information indicating that Article 5 is missing and suggesting that the article number of Article 6 be corrected to Article 5 is displayed in association with Article 6. Note that the correction of the article numbers may be performed automatically.
[0089] In FIG. 9, the review information and the edit unit are displayed in association with each other, but the comment information may also be displayed in association with the edit unit.
[0090] FIG. 10 is a diagram showing an example of editing units for portions of document data other than articles in the document review process according to this embodiment. As described above, the dividing unit 112 of the information processing device 10 can divide portions of document data of legal documents that do not have articles other than the main text into editing units according to categories such as preamble, conclusion, execution date, party information, and signature / stamp fields. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 10 , the mouse pointer 40a is positioned over the preamble, so a frame 311a surrounding the preamble is displayed. Furthermore, the mouse pointer 40b is positioned over the execution date, so a frame 311b surrounding the execution date is displayed. On this document creation support screen 300, editing, moving, and association of review information for each editing unit may be possible even for portions that do not have articles other than the main text.
[0091] Although two pointers 40a and 40b and frames 311a and 311b are shown on one screen in FIG. 10 for the sake of explanation, in reality, only one editing unit is designated as an editing target at a time.
[0092] Next, a description will be given of the flow of the document creation support process executed in the information processing system S configured as above. Fig. 11 is a flowchart showing an example of the flow of the document creation support process according to this embodiment.
[0093] First, in response to an instruction from the user P1, the second control unit 211 of the terminal device T1 activates the browser unit 212. The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 transmits login information such as an initial access URL and a registration ID to the information processing device 10 (step S1).
[0094] The first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10 executes authentication processing in response to login information from the terminal device T1. The first control unit 115 transmits the generated document creation support screen information (step S2). Note that the authenticated user P1 has, for example, access rights to various document data and rights to perform various operations such as displaying, reviewing, editing, and deleting document data.
[0095] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 displays the document creation support screen on the display device 30 based on the document creation support screen information received from the information processing device 10 (step S3).
[0096] In response to a document upload instruction from user P1, the browser unit 212 of terminal device T1 transmits the document data of the support target to the information processing device 10 (step S4). This upload instruction may be issued by the user issuing the review instruction, or by a different user and / or terminal. For example, it may be issued by the terminal of a user in another department who requests the legal department to review the contract.
[0097] The acquisition unit 111 of the information processing device 10 acquires document data uploaded from the terminal device T1 via the network N. The storage processing unit 116 stores the acquired document data in the auxiliary storage device 15. This process may be executed by the first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10. The document upload instruction and the storage of the document data may be performed before the editing process, for example, by another user and / or another terminal in another department who requests the legal department to review the contract. The target document data may not be uploaded, but may be created on the document creation support screen.
[0098] The dividing unit 112 of the information processing device 10 executes a dividing process to divide the uploaded or created document data into edit units (step S5).
[0099] The analysis unit 113 of the information processing device 10 then executes a document review process on the document data after the division process to generate document review information (step S6). The generated document review information is associated with the target edit unit.
[0100] The first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10 generates layout information for displaying the document review information in association with the target editing unit in the document data to be supported. The first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10 transmits the document data to be supported, the document review information generated by the analysis unit 113, and the layout information generated by the first control unit 115 to the terminal device T1 (step S7).
[0101] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 displays a document review screen (step S8) based on the document data, document review information, and layout information received from the information processing device 10. Note that this document review screen displays the document review information and the editing units of the document data in a form in which their positions correspond to each other.
[0102] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 transmits the edit start instruction input by the user P1 to the information processing device 10 (step S9). The edit start instruction is input, for example, by the user P1 pressing an edit button displayed on the web browser screen.
[0103] In response to an instruction to start editing from the terminal device T1, the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 converts the data format of the document data into, for example, JSON format, to generate data for editing (step S10). Even after conversion to the data for editing, the correspondence between the editing units of the original document data and the document review information is maintained.
[0104] The first control unit 115 of the information processing device 10 generates layout information for displaying the editing data and the document review information in association with each other, and transmits the editing data, the document review information, the layout information, and information for executing the document editing process to the terminal device T1 (step S11).
[0105] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 displays a document editing screen (step S12) based on the editing data, document review information, layout information, and information for executing the document editing process received from the information processing device 10. Note that on this document editing screen, the document review information and the editing units in the editing data are displayed in a form in which their positions are mutually associated, as shown in, for example, Figures 6 to 10.
[0106] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 accepts various editing instructions input by the user P1 by specifying the target editing unit (step S13). The browser unit 212 accepts editing instructions input by the user P1, such as moving or adding an article, changing a sentence within an article, etc., as shown in Figures 6 to 10.
[0107] In response to the editing instruction, the browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 executes an editing process to generate editing data that reflects the editing instruction (step S14). Note that when the user P1 moves, adds, or deletes an article, the browser unit 212 may transmit the editing data to the information processing device 10, and the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 may execute an article number update process. Alternatively, the browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 may update the article number based on the layout information.
[0108] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 displays a document editing screen based on the edit data after the document editing process, the document review information, and the layout information (step S15).
[0109] The browser unit 212 of the terminal device T1 transmits the save instruction input by the user P1 (for example, an instruction by operating the save button 301 shown in FIG. 6) to the information processing device 10 (step S16). At this time, information about the edit data after the document editing process is also transmitted.
[0110] In response to an instruction to start editing from the terminal device T1, the editing processing unit 114 of the information processing device 10 converts the data format of the editing data and generates the next version of document data (i.e., a new version of document data in the same data format as the document data uploaded in step S4) (step S17).
[0111] The editing data that has undergone the editing process may be saved by overwriting the document data to be supported that was uploaded in step S4, or may be saved as separate data (for example, data of a different version).
[0112] Alternatively, a URL that allows access to edited document data may be issued without downloading the document data. The downloading terminal may be a terminal different from the terminal that performed the editing, and the download may be performed by a user in another department who requests the legal department to review the contract or by the other party in contract negotiations.
[0113] The storage processing unit 116 of the information processing device 10 stores the document data for storage in the auxiliary storage device 15 (step S18), at which point the processing of this flowchart ends.
[0114] In this manner, the information processing device 10 of the present embodiment associates review information for a portion of edit unit data, which is a part of the document data included in the edit unit, with document data divided into edit units, and transmits layout information to the terminal device T1, which displays the layout information on the screen in a format that allows editing of the document data for each edit unit and in a display mode that allows the association between the edit unit and the associated review information to be visually recognized. Therefore, the information processing device 10 of the present embodiment can provide support technology that enables more appropriate creation of documents, particularly legal documents such as contracts. For example, the information processing device 10 of the present embodiment can edit legal documents for each division unit and associate the division unit with a review. This allows the information processing device 10 of the present embodiment to improve the efficiency of user P1's document creation work.
[0115] Furthermore, when one of the edit units included in the document data is selected on the screen, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment generates layout information to move the review information so that the review information corresponding to the selected edit unit is displayed next to the selected edit unit. Therefore, with the information processing device 10 of this embodiment, when user P1 checks the review information, it is easy to view it next to the target article, thereby reducing the burden of comparing the review information with the document data.
[0116] Furthermore, when any review information is selected on the screen, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment generates layout information to change the display range of the document data so that the editing unit corresponding to the selected review information is displayed next to the selected review information. Therefore, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment makes it easy for user P1 to search for a target section in the document data from the review information, further reducing the burden of comparing the review information and the document data.
[0117] Furthermore, in the information processing device 10 of this embodiment, the review information includes points of criticism for the document data based on the standards of the legal document to which the document data belongs. Since legal documents are generally written in article units, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment is suited to dividing the document into editing units corresponding to the articles and associating the editing units with the review information.
[0118] Furthermore, when an editing unit corresponding to an article in document data is moved, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment updates the number of each article included in the document data so that the number of each article is sequentially increased according to the position after the move. Therefore, according to the information processing device 10 of this embodiment, when user P1 moves an article, there is no need to manually update the article numbers of the entire document data, thereby reducing the workload.
[0119] Furthermore, when an edit unit in a document contains a quotation in a sentence in another edit unit, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment generates layout information to display the quoted edit unit in association with the edit unit. Therefore, when the information processing device 10 of this embodiment reads an article containing a quotation, it becomes easy for the user P1 to check the content of the quoted article as well.
[0120] Furthermore, when an article number is missing or duplicated in the document data, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment generates layout information so that review information suggesting correction of the article number is displayed in association with the editing unit of the missing number and the adjacent number. Therefore, with the information processing device 10 of this embodiment, the user P1 can easily grasp the error in the article number.
[0121] Furthermore, the information processing device 10 of this embodiment detects missing information in document data, and if there is missing information, generates layout information so that review information suggesting the insertion of the missing information is displayed in association with an editing unit including a sentence related to the missing information. Therefore, with the information processing device 10 of this embodiment, the user P1 can easily understand which article should have a description added.
[0122] In the above embodiment, the editing unit of the document data corresponds to at least an article, but the editing unit may be a unit smaller than an "article." For example, the editing unit may correspond to a "paragraph" or "issue" in the document data. Furthermore, the dividing unit 112 of the information processing device 10 according to the embodiment may identify a hierarchical structure of the editing units of "article," "paragraph," and "issue."
[0123] Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described in detail above, these embodiments are presented as examples and are not intended to be limiting. Each embodiment can be modified by various additions, changes, substitutions, partial deletions, combinations, etc., without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention. These embodiments and their modifications are included within the scope of the invention described in the claims and their equivalents.
