Abstract
Description
[0001] BLOOD SUGAR MEASUREMENT SIMULATOR
[0002] Field of the Invention
[0003] The invention relates to a blood sugar measurement simulator that can be used in the field of health (medicine, nursing, etc.) education.
[0004] The invention particularly relates to a blood sugar measurement simulator which is realistic, in which more students can receive blood glucose measurement training at the same time, eliminating the anxiety of the pain / aching feeling.
[0005] State of the Art
[0006] Today, diabetes is increasing day by day and accordingly, diabetes caused deaths are also increasing. The number of patients with diabetes worldwide is expected to increase by approximately 100% in 2045 compared to today. This situation further increases the importance of diabetes diagnosis and treatment.
[0007] Today, the current for diagnosing diabetes involves testing a blood sample taken from the patient's fingertip. The collection of the sample requires the training of healthcare personnel. However, the fact that students perform it on the patient without laboratory application causes them to feel inadequate, to make mistakes and to be worried about harming the patient and to be stressed accordingly. While applications were made on models in previous years, the trend to use simulation, which offers a more realistic application possibility, has increased in recent years. Since the use of simulation allows repeated applications, it ensures the active participation of students in the applications, contributing to them gaining experience by doing more applications, reducing the likelihood of errors in real life situations, increasing patient safety, reducing students' anxiety and increasing their self-confidence.
[0008] There are simulated sugar measurement devices in the prior art. However, since these devices are not wearable, they are far from providing a sense of realism. However, since more application areas are needed in laboratory applications, fewer students have the opportunity to do applications on these devices. In addition, the costs of these devices are high. As a result of the search on the subject, the document numbered CN113367694A has been encountered. The relevant document relates to the blood sugar monitoring management system. Since blood is taken many times to monitor the blood sugar in the present art, it is mentioned that medical personnel can take blood from the finger more easily and without causing pain to the patient. However, there is no information about a wearable glove used for educational purposes, which makes blood sugar measurement realistic and comprises a sponge and buffer part.
[0009] Another document encountered in the literature is the document numbered CN206964635U. The relevant document relates to a glove that can monitor its own blood sugar. In the prior art, a glove that offers the opportunity to monitor its own blood sugar in order to prevent the same point from being punctured again is mentioned. However, there is no information about a wearable glove used for educational purposes, which makes blood sugar measurement realistic and comprises a sponge and buffer part.
[0010] As a result, due to the said disadvantages and the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter, a development is required to be made in the relevant technical field.
[0011] Objective of the Invention
[0012] The object of the invention is to solve said disadvantages by being inspired from the current situations.
[0013] The main object of the invention is to provide a blood sugar measurement training simulator used in the field of health education, which allows students to measure blood sugar easily and without any worries.
[0014] Another object of the invention is to provide a more realistic sense of application to the student thanks to the fact that it is a wearable training simulator.
[0015] Another object of the invention is to prevent the occurrence of pain / aching feeling during blood sugar measurement and to reduce anxiety.
[0016] Another object of the invention is to enable more students to practice in the training simulation at the same time.
[0017] Another object of the invention is to provide a low cost training simulator. In order to fulfill the said objectives, the invention is a realistic blood sugar measurement simulator in which more students can receive blood sugar measurement training at the same time, eliminating the anxiety of pain / aching feeling, characterized by comprising:
[0018] • artificial blood with differing sugar ratios presented in a bottle to simulate realistic blood sugar measurement,
[0019] • an artificial glove that gives a real hand feeling by being worn by hand,
[0020] • a sponge with artificial blood on the fingertips of the glove and
[0021] • a glucometer that allows the measurement of the sugar ratio of the blood taken from the glove.
[0022] The structural and characteristic features and all the advantages of the invention will be understood more clearly by means of the figures and the detailed description with reference to these figures provided below and therefore, the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0034] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0035] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the blood sugar measurement simulator (1) of the invention are described only for a better understanding of the subject.
[0036] The blood sugar measurement training simulator (1 ) of the invention basically comprises of a glove (10), artificial blood (20) in a bottle and a glucometer (30) as seen in Figure 1 .
[0037] A blood sugar measurement simulator (1), which is realistic, in which more students can receive blood glucose measurement training at the same time, which eliminates the anxiety of the pain / aching feeling comprises artificial blood (20) with differing sugar ratio presented in a bottle to simulate realistic appropriate blood sugar measurement. Artificial blood (20) is a ready to use liquid in the bottle with different blood sugar values. The subject of the invention comprises an artificial glove (10) that gives a real hand feeling by being worn by hand alongside this. Said glove is made of silicone artificial leather material in one embodiment of the invention. The blood sugar measurement simulator of the invention also comprises a sponge (11 ) with artificial blood (20) at the fingertips of the said glove (10). In one embodiment of the invention, said sponge (11 ) is polyurethane foam with a porous structure.
[0038] The blood sugar measurement simulator (1 ) of the invention comprises a glucometer (30) that provides the measurement of the sugar ratio of the blood taken from the glove (10). There is a start button (32), a delete button (33) and a screen (31 ) on the glucometer. However, it comprises a strip (34) at its lower end and a biosensor in it. The screen (31) allows the blood sugar to be displayed on the glucometer (30) and the biosensor provides the measurement of blood glucose. Strip (34) is used to ensure the measurement of blood sugar by the glucometer.
[0039] The working principle of the blood sugar measurement simulator (1) subject to the invention is as follows: The blood sugar measurement simulator of the invention is used for the training of the medical team members involved in diabetes monitoring. Since the simulation training subject to the invention allows repeated application, active participation of the students is ensured, experience is gained by doing more applications, the likelihood of errors in real life situations are reduced, patient safety is increased, students' anxiety is reduced and their self-confidence is increased.
[0040] For said simulation training, firstly, of glove (10) shaped hand is worn which is made of special silicone material. There is a chamber at the tip of the index finger of this glove (10). There is a sponge (11 ) texture made of polyurethane porous foam material in this chamber This sponge (11 ) tissue is made to absorb artificial blood (20) with different glucose ratios. The artificial blood (20) is a red liquid with different glucose ratios in it and makes the blood sugar measurement more realistic. The finger containing the sponge (11) in which the artificial blood (20) is absorbed can be inserted and removed, or all three gloves (10) can have a chamber with different glucose ratios (normal blood glucose value, high blood glucose value, low blood glucose value). The student to be trained takes blood from the finger many times without feeling any anxiety, fear, pity and measures the sugar value by transferring it to the glucometer to measure the amount of sugar in the blood.
