Description

[0001] Toothpaste tube

[0002] The present utility model applies to a toothpaste tube which is designed as a twin tube .

[0003] At present , toothpaste tubes are tubes of simple design in which single or multi-component toothpastes can be stored . In the case of multi-component toothpastes , the individual components are mixed when the toothpaste is squeezed out . The disadvantage of such tubes is that they are not suitable for separate morning and evening toothpaste applications for children, elderly or mentally impaired people who are often forgetful , have di f ficulty understanding things and need supervision . Nor is it suitable for shared use , where users may use di f ferent toothpastes .

[0004] Patent document US2014374442 Al discloses a toothpaste tube that can be used by several people together . This is made possible by a cap with multiple openings . Thus , individual users can use the same toothpaste tube through di f ferent dispensing openings . The disadvantage of this solution is that it does not allow the use of several types of toothpaste so that one user can use it on di f ferent occasions .

[0005] Utility model CN2146440 Y shows a toothpaste tube with the short end opposite the dispensing opening attached to another toothpaste tube in the same arrangement . Thus the dispensing openings of the two toothpaste tubes are on opposite sides of each other . This allows independent application by two users or application by one user for two di f ferent toothpastes . However, the disadvantage of this solution is that it is cumbersome to use because of the weight distribution . I f the user squeezes toothpaste from one toothpaste tube , the other toothpaste tube must be held for comfortable use . Furthermore , the volume of each toothpaste tube cannot be compared at glance .

[0006] As a result , there is a need for a toothpaste tube that is suitable for sel f-storage of di f ferent toothpastes , convenient to use and comparable in terms of the amount of toothpaste in the tube .

[0007] The present utility model aims to provide a toothpaste tube that is suitable for sel f-storage of di f ferent toothpastes , is convenient to use and comparable in terms of the amount of toothpaste in the toothpaste tubes .

[0008] The present utility model is based on the recognition that attaching toothpaste tubes together along their longitudinal sides makes them suitable for easy access by a user to apply di f ferent types of toothpastes and to control the consumption of toothpaste from each toothpaste tube .

[0009] Accordingly, the present invention relates to a toothpaste tube comprising a first tube with a dispensing opening, a second tube with a dispensing opening and a cap, and characteri zed in that the first tube and the second tube are fixed to each other along their longitudinal sides .

[0010] Each preferred embodiment is described in detail in claims . The utility model is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying figure , which shows a preferred embodiment of the toothpaste tube of the model .

[0013] Figure 2 : top view of the preferred embodiment of the toothpaste tube with one cap ;

[0015] Description

[0016] The toothpaste tube according to the model consists of a toothpaste tube comprising a first and a second tube fixed along their longitudinal sides .

[0017] For the purpose of the present utility model , a toothpaste tube is understood to be a tube of flexible material with an interior space , which can be filled with toothpaste and which toothpaste can be dispensed from the toothpaste tube through a dispensing opening by pressing the tube .

[0018] In the context of the present utility model , toothpaste is understood to be a cream or paste for cleaning teeth, which may contain additional beneficial elements such as sleep aids , sedatives or stimulants . The toothpaste tubes (100) shown in Figure 1 contain a first tube (10) and a second tube (20) fixed along their longitudinal sides. The first tube (10) starts in a dispensing opening (11) in an area covered by a cap (30) , and the second tube (20) starts in a dispensing opening (21) in an area covered by a cap (30) .

[0019] The purpose of the first and second tube (10, 20) is to store toothpaste. Because of the two tubes, it is possible to store different toothpastes. The first and second tubes (10, 20) can be fixed with soluble or insoluble bonds. Preferably, they are fixed by insoluble bonding, for example by chemical adhesive or by forming the first and second tubes (10, 20) from a single material with one longitudinal side in common.

[0020] The end of the first and second tubes (10, 20) opposite the cap (30) is typically flattened, where the flexible material of the first and second tubes (10, 20) is sealed. As the toothpaste is squeezed out, the first and second tubes (10, 20) progressively lose their cylindrical character and assume a flattened shape. Typically, when the first and second tubes (10, 20) are secured together, the first and second tubes (10, 20) are placed side by side relative to the flattened shape, as shown in Figures 1 and 2. The advantage of this arrangement is that both the first and second tubes (10, 20) can be easily and simply squeezed out of their respective capacities. However, the possibility is also not excluded that the first and second tubes (10, 20) are fixed to each other along their longitudinal sides, but along their entire surface or at least along most of the surface of their flattened shape, as shown in Figure 3. The disadvantage of this arrangement is that it is more difficult to squeeze the contents of the first and second tubes (10, 20) through the dispensing openings (11, 21) . However, this arrangement takes up less space, especially as the capacity of the first and second tubes (10, 20) is used up .

[0021] The dispensing openings (11, 21) are used for dispensing the toothpaste from the tube.

[0022] The role of the cap (30) is to seal the toothpaste tube (100) . A cap (30) may be designed to fit separately into one of the dispensing openings (11, 21) or, as shown in Figure 2, the cap (30a) may fit into both dispensing openings (11, 21) simultaneously. In this case, for example, it may be configured to snap onto the dispensing openings (11, 21) . The design of the cap (30) may also be the usual screw design, with the disadvantage that the first and second tubes (10, 20) must be screwed one by one into a single cap (30) for attachment .

[0023] The first tube (10) can store morning toothpaste containing an invigorating and / or refreshing breath additive in addition to the toothpaste. Likewise, the second tube (20) can store evening toothpaste, which may contain a sleep-inducing, soothing additive in the toothpaste. This arrangement is particularly advantageous if the tubes containing the morning and evening toothpaste are separately labelled. In this way, children, elderly or mentally impaired people only need to keep one tube of toothpaste in front of them and can easily decide whether to use the first or the second tube (10, 20) when brushing their teeth. Furthermore, parents or carers can check at a glance whether the first and second tubes (10, 20) are used proportionally, as the first and second tubes (10, 20) , fixed at their longitudinal sides, can be checked at a glance to see whether they contain approximately the same amount of toothpaste. Or at least you can touch the first and second tubes (10, 20) along their shorter sides with a finger, so you can check and compare how much toothpaste has been consumed from the first and second tubes (10, 20) by pressing them.

[0024] Separate marking of the first and second tubes (10, 20) can be achieved by changing at least one of their external, i.e. visible physical characteristics. For example, they can be different colours, they can be labelled, they can have different tube designs, possibly with different surfaces.

[0025] Of course, cases where the first and second tubes (10, 20) contain the same toothpaste or the first tube (10) contain the evening toothpaste and the second tube (20) contain the morning toothpaste are not excluded from the scope of protection. It is also possible that the toothpastes differ in terms of the different active ingredients.

[0026] The advantage of a model is that it is suitable for the application of different toothpastes by one user with a suitable weight distribution and easy comparison of the amount of toothpaste in the different tubes.
