Description

Method and system for providing audio

[0001] The present invention relates to an audio providing method and system thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to an audio providing method and system thereof for providing audio to an audio output device using a communication chip.

[0002] Today, a variety of services utilizing electronic devices are available to consumers. These services are widely used because they can be updated via communication networks without requiring replacement of the devices. However, cases of illegal copying and unauthorized use of these devices are also on the rise.

[0003] To prevent such unauthorized use, authentication of electronic devices using various unique identification numbers is sometimes performed. However, since unique identification numbers such as serial numbers and manufacturing IDs are accessible to anyone, this method has limitations in preventing the production of counterfeit products that replicate genuine products.

[0004] Meanwhile, communication chips are assigned a manufacturing ID during the production process. Therefore, when integrating communication chips into electronic devices to provide services, a process of registering the communication chip identifier in a database is required. Currently, inspectors verify the identifier for each communication chip and register it on a server, which poses the risk of human error.

[0005] Accordingly, there is a growing need for methods to prevent duplication of electronic devices and minimize human error.

[0045]

[0046] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 10, an audio providing method and system according to some embodiments of the present invention will be described.

[0047] FIG. 1 is a conceptual diagram illustrating an audio providing system according to some embodiments of the present invention.

[0048] Referring to FIG. 1, an audio providing system (10) according to some embodiments of the present invention includes an audio output device (100), a content server (200), an electronic device (300), a sound doll (400), and a communication network (500).

[0049] The audio output device (100) may be configured to output sound content (Cnt) for auditory stimulation of infants and toddlers. Specifically, the audio output device (100) may recognize a sound doll (400) and output sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the sound doll (400).

[0050] The audio output device (100) can receive a password (PW) for the sound doll (400) from the electronic device (300). The audio output device (100) can transmit the password (PW) to the sound doll (400) and receive a content ID (CID) from the sound doll (400). The audio output device (100) can generate a content request signal (Rqst) using the content ID (CID).

[0051] The audio output device (100) can transmit a content request signal (Rqst) for sound content (Cnt) to the content server (200). Subsequently, the audio output device (100) can receive the sound content (Cnt) from the content server (200) and output the sound content (Cnt). Here, the audio output device (100) operates in connection with the content server (200) through a communication network (500) and can transmit and receive data.

[0052] The sound doll (400) may be equipped with a communication chip capable of transmitting and receiving data with an audio output device (100) and an electronic device (300). The communication chip may include a manufacturing ID (MID). The manufacturing ID (MID) may be identification information assigned to the communication chip during the manufacturing process. The sound doll (400) may provide the manufacturing ID (MID) to the electronic device (300). Subsequently, the sound doll (400) may be assigned at least one of a content ID (CID) and a password (PW) from the electronic device (300).

[0053] The electronic device (300) can transmit and receive data via the content server (200) and the communication network (500). In addition, the electronic device (300) can recognize the communication chip of the sound doll (400) and obtain the manufacturing ID (MID) of the communication chip. The electronic device (300) can perform an inspection of the communication chip. When the inspection of the communication chip is completed, the electronic device (300) can generate a content ID (CID) corresponding to the sound doll (400) and provide it to the communication chip. For example, the content ID (CID) can include information about the shape of the sound doll (400).

[0054] Additionally, the electronic device (300) may generate a password (PW) for manufacturing the sound doll (400) and provide it to the communication chip and audio output device (100). For example, the password (PW) may include information about at least one of the manufacturing plant and production unit (batch) of the sound doll (400). The password (100) may be used by the audio output device (100) to obtain a content ID (CID) from the sound doll (400).

[0055] When a content ID (CID) is generated, the electronic device (300) can provide information about the content ID (D_CID) to the content server (200). In addition, when a password (PW) is generated, the electronic device (300) can provide information about the password (D_PW) to the content server (200).

[0056] The content server (200) can receive and register information about the content ID (D_CID). In addition, the content server (200) can receive and register information about the password (D_PW). In this case, if both the content ID (CID) and the password (PW) are generated for the same sound doll (400), the content server (200) can group and store the content ID (CID) and the password (PW).

[0057] The content server (200) can receive a content request signal (Rqst) from the audio output device (100). The content request signal (Rqst) can include a content ID (CID). Accordingly, the content server (200) can compare the registered content ID (CID) with the content ID (CID) included in the content request signal (Rqst) and, based on this, determine whether to provide sound content (Cnt).

[0058] Additionally, the content request signal (Rqst) may additionally include a password (PW). In this case, the content server (200) can determine the validity of the password (PW) and, based on this, determine whether to provide sound content (Cnt).

[0059] Meanwhile, the communication network (500) plays a role of connecting the audio output device (100), the content server (200), and the electronic device (300). That is, the communication network (500) refers to a communication network that provides a connection path so that the audio output device (100) can transmit and receive data after connecting to the content server (200). The communication network (500) may include wired networks such as LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks), MANs (Metropolitan Area Networks), and ISDNs (Integrated Service Digital Networks), or wireless networks such as wireless LANs, CDMA, Bluetooth, and satellite communication, but the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0060] In addition, although the drawing depicts the sound doll (400) as not being connected to a communication network (500), the present embodiment is not limited thereto. In other words, the sound doll (400) may transmit and receive data with at least one of an audio output device (100), an electronic device (300), and a content server (200) via the communication network (500).

[0061]

[0062] FIG. 2 is a flowchart for explaining an audio provision method performed in the audio provision system of FIG. 1.

[0063] Referring to FIG. 2, the electronic device (300) recognizes the manufacturing ID from the sound doll (400) (S10).

[0064] Specifically, the electronic device (300) can recognize the communication chip of the sound doll (400). At this time, the electronic device (300) can recognize the manufacturing ID (MID) of the communication chip. The manufacturing ID (MID) may include information about the manufacturing of the communication chip. For example, the manufacturing ID (MID) may include information about at least one of the unique identification number, manufacturing plant, production unit, and production time of the communication chip.

[0065] Next, the electronic device (300) generates a content ID for the sound doll (400) (S20).

[0066] The electronic device (300) can generate a content ID (CID) for a sound doll (400) whose manufacturing ID (MID) has been recognized. Here, the content ID (CID) can include information related to the sound content (Cnt) to be played by the sound doll (400). For example, if the sound doll (400) is set to play traditional fairy tales, the content ID (CID) can include information about this. In addition, the sound doll (400) can be set to play sound content (Cnt) of different categories depending on its shape. Accordingly, the content ID (CID) can include information about the shape of the sound doll (400).

[0067] Next, the electronic device (300) provides a content ID to the sound doll (400) (S30). In addition, the electronic device (300) transmits information about the content ID to the content server (200) (S33).

[0068] The electronic device (300) can provide a content ID (CID) to the sound doll (400). Specifically, the electronic device (300) can provide and record the content ID (CID) in the communication chip of the sound doll (400). In addition, the electronic device (300) can transmit information (D_CID) about the content ID (CID) to the content server (200).

[0069] Next, the electronic device (300) transmits a password for the content ID to the audio output device (100) (S34).

[0070] The electronic device (300) can generate a password (PW) that is mapped to a content ID (CID). In addition, the electronic device (300) can map the password (PW) to a manufacturing ID (MID).

[0071] Next, the content server (200) registers a content ID (S35).

[0072] The content server (200) can register a content ID (CID) using information (D_CID) about the received content ID. Registration of the content ID (CID) will be described later with reference to FIG. 6.

[0073] Meanwhile, the audio output device (100) recognizes the content ID of the sound doll (400) (S40).

[0074] When the sound doll (400) is placed within a predetermined distance from the audio output device (100), the audio output device (100) can recognize the content ID (CID) of the sound doll (400). At this time, the audio output device (100) can recognize (scan) the communication chip of the sound doll (400) to obtain the content ID (CID).

[0075] Next, the audio output device (100) generates a content request signal (S50). Next, the audio output device (100) transmits the content request signal to the content server (200) (S60).

[0076] The audio output device (100) can generate a content request signal (Rqst) using the acquired content ID (CID). At this time, the content request signal (Rqst) is a signal requesting sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the sound doll (400) and may include a content ID (CID). Subsequently, the audio output device (100) can transmit the content request signal (Rqst) to the content server (200).

[0077] Next, the content server (200) verifies the content request signal (S70).

[0078] The content server (200) can verify the content request signal (Rqst) received from the audio output device (100). At this time, the content server (200) can verify the content request signal (Rqst) using a registered content ID (CID).

[0079] Next, the content server (200) determines whether to provide sound content to the audio output device (100) (S80).

[0080] If the content request signal (Rqst) passes the verification, the content server (200) can provide the sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the sound doll (400) to the audio output device (100). On the other hand, if the content request signal (Rqst) does not pass the verification, the content server (200) may not provide the sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100).

[0081]

[0082] Figure 3 is a flowchart for explaining step S20 of Figure 2 in detail.

[0083] Referring to FIG. 3, the electronic device (300) performs an inspection on a communication chip built into a sound doll (400) (S21).

[0084] The electronic device (300) can perform inspection of the communication chip embedded in the sound doll (400). Here, the electronic device (300) can perform a quality control process for the communication chip. At this time, the quality control process can be performed using various known methods.

[0085] Next, if the inspection is not passed, the electronic device (300) does not perform subsequent steps. On the other hand, if the inspection is passed, the electronic device (300) generates a content ID corresponding to the sound doll (400) (S27).

[0086] If the communication chip fails the inspection, the electronic device (300) may not perform step S27. In this case, the electronic device (300) may transmit information about the communication chip that failed the inspection to the administrator, stop the operation, or perform the inspection on the communication chip in the next order.

[0087] On the other hand, if the communication chip passes inspection, the electronic device (300) can generate a content ID (CID) corresponding to the sound doll (400). At this time, the content ID (CID) may include information about the shape of the sound doll (400) or the sound content (Cnt) to be played by the sound doll (400). For example, the content ID (CID) may correspond one-to-one with the sound doll (400).

[0088] Next, the electronic device (300) generates a password corresponding to the sound doll (400) (S29).

[0089] Additionally, a password (PW) containing information about the manufacturing of the electronic device (300) sound doll (400) may be generated. Here, the password (PW) may contain information about at least one of the manufacturing plant and production unit of the sound doll (400). For example, the password (PW) may be generated identically for multiple sound dolls (400) produced in the same production unit.

[0090] Although the drawing illustrates step S29 as being performed subsequent to step S27, in some embodiments step S29 may be omitted. In other words, in some embodiments, the electronic device (300) may generate only a content ID without generating a password for the sound doll (400).

[0091]

[0092] Figure 4 is a flowchart for explaining steps S40 and S50 of Figure 2 in detail.

[0093] Referring to FIG. 4, the audio output device (100) recognizes the manufacturing ID of the communication chip (S41).

[0094] When the sound doll (400) is placed within a predetermined distance from the audio output device (100), the audio output device (100) can recognize the communication chip of the sound doll (400) and obtain the manufacturing ID (MID). Alternatively, regardless of the distance, the communication chip of the sound doll (400) can transmit the manufacturing ID (MID) to the audio output device (100).

[0095] Next, the audio output device (100) transmits a password corresponding to the manufacturing ID to the communication chip (S43).

[0096] Specifically, the audio output device (100) may store a plurality of passwords (PW) received from the electronic device (300). The audio output device (100) may transmit a password (PW) corresponding to a manufacturing ID (MID) among the stored plurality of passwords (PW) to the communication chip.

[0097] Next, the audio output device (100) obtains the content ID of the communication chip (S45).

[0098] If the password (PW) transmitted by the audio output device (100) to the communication chip matches the password (PW) of the sound doll (400), the audio output device (100) can obtain the content ID (CID) of the communication chip. On the other hand, if the password (PW) transmitted by the audio output device (100) does not match the password (PW) of the sound doll (400), the audio output device (100) cannot obtain the content ID (CID) of the communication chip.

[0099] Through this, if a third party modifies the password (PW) to obtain other sound content (Cnt), the audio output device (100) cannot obtain the content ID (CID). Accordingly, the present invention can prevent the provision of sound content (Cnt) that does not match the sound doll (400).

[0100] Next, the audio output device (100) generates a content request signal including a content ID and password (S51).

[0101] The audio output device (100) can generate a content request signal (Rqst) including a content ID (CID) and a password (PW). The content request signal (Rqst) can be a signal requesting sound content (Cnt) corresponding to a sound doll (400).

[0102] Although the drawing illustrates that the audio output device (100) generates a content request signal (Rqst) using both a content ID (CID) and a password (PW), the present invention is not limited thereto. In some embodiments, when step S29 is omitted and a password (PW) corresponding to a sound doll (400) is not generated, the audio output device (100) may generate a content request signal (Rqst) using only a content ID (CID).

[0103]

[0104] Figure 5 is a flowchart for explaining steps S70 and S80 of Figure 2 in detail.

[0105] Referring to FIG. 5, the content server (200) determines whether the content ID of the content request signal and the registered content ID are the same (S71).

[0106] The content server (200) can determine whether the content ID (CID) included in the content request signal (Rqst) and the content ID (CID) registered in the content server (200) are the same.

[0107] If the content ID of the content request signal and the registered content ID are the same, the content server (200) provides the audio output device (100) with sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the content ID (S81). On the other hand, if the content ID of the content request signal and the registered content ID are not the same, the content server (200) does not provide the sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100) (S82).

[0108] If the content ID (CID) of the content request signal (Rqst) is identical to the content ID (CID) registered in the content server (200), the content server (200) can determine that the content ID (CID) of the sound doll (400) is normal. Accordingly, the content server (200) can provide sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the content ID (CID) to the audio output device (100).

[0109] On the other hand, if the content ID (CID) of the content request signal (Rqst) is not identical to the content ID (CID) registered in the content server (200), the content server (200) may determine that the content ID (CID) of the sound doll (400) is abnormal. Accordingly, the content server (200) may not provide the sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100).

[0110] For example, in the case of a sound doll (400) produced by a third party through imitation, it may have a content ID (CID) different from the content ID (CID) registered in the content server (200). Accordingly, the content server (200) can block the use of the counterfeit product by not providing sound content (Cnt) for the counterfeit sound doll (400).

[0111]

[0112] Figure 6 is a drawing for explaining the content ID of Figure 5 in detail.

[0113] Fig. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a content request signal (Rqst), and FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a registered content ID (CID).

[0114] Fig. 6 Referring to , the manufacturing ID (MID) included in the first content request signal (D1) may be “10001”, the content ID (CID) may be “A0001”, the password (PW) may be “PWD1A”, and the issuer of the password may be “A”.

[0115] Fig. 6 Referring to , the content ID (CID) of the first registered content ID (D1_r) is “A0001”, which is the same as the content ID (CID) of the first content request signal (D1). Accordingly, when the first content request signal (D1) is received, the content server (200) can provide “The Sun and the Moon” and “The Rabbit and the Turtle”, which are the contents of the first registered content ID (D1_r), to the audio output device (100).

[0116] On the other hand, in the case of the second content request signal (D2), it includes “D0002”, which is a content ID (CID) that does not exist in the first to third registered content IDs (D1_r to D3_r). Accordingly, when the second content request signal (D2) is received, the content server (200) may not provide sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100). For example, the second content request signal (D2) may be a case where a third party has modified the content ID (CID).

[0117] In the case of the third content request signal (D3), it includes “B0001”, which is the same content ID (CID) as the third registered content ID (D3_r). However, the password status of the third content request signal (D3) may be Revoke. Accordingly, the content server (200) may not provide sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100).

[0118] Here, the password status can be set in the content server (200). The password status can be used for production management of the sound doll (400). The password status can include Active and Revoke.

[0119] For example, if a defect is discovered during the production process of a sound doll (400), the administrator can change the password status of the content server (200) from Active to Revoke. For a third content request signal (D3) in the Revoke status, the content server (200) may not provide sound content (Cnt). This makes it easier to recall the sound doll (400) by not providing service to it.

[0120] In addition, in the case of the fourth communication chip (D4) of the fourth sound doll, it includes “A0001”, which is the same content ID (CID) as the first registered content ID (D1_r). However, the password of the fourth content request signal (D4) may be “XXX2B”, and the issuer of the password may be “X”. Here, the issuer of the password, X, may be a third party unrelated to the manufacturing and service of the audio provision system. Accordingly, the content server (200) may not provide sound content (Cnt) for the fourth content request signal (D4). Provision of sound content according to the password status will be described with reference to FIG. 7.

[0121] Meanwhile, the category of the first registered content ID (D1_r) may be "Traditional Fairy Tales", and the contents may be "The Sun and the Moon" and "The Rabbit and the Turtle". On the other hand, the category of the second registered content ID (D2_r) may be "Traditional Fairy Tales", but the contents may be "Kongjwi and Patjwi" and "Heungbu and Nolbu", unlike the first registered content ID (D1_r). In this way, the content server (200) may set or update detailed contents differently for content IDs (CIDs) having the same category.

[0122] In addition, the category of the third registered content ID (D3_r) may be different from the first and second registered content IDs (D1_r, D2_r) as "Lullaby". Accordingly, for a content request signal including "B0001", which is the content ID (CID) of the third registered content ID (D3_r), the content server (200) may provide "Island Baby" and "Little Star" belonging to the lullaby category to the audio output device (100).

[0123]

[0124] Figure 7 is a flowchart for explaining steps S70 and S80 of Figure 2 in detail. Parts that overlap with the above-described content are omitted or simplified.

[0125] Referring to Fig. 7, the content server (200) determines whether the password is trustworthy (S72).

[0126] The content server (200) can verify the issuer of the password (PW) included in the content request signal (Rqst). If the issuer of the password (PW) is trustworthy (e.g., manufacturer A), the content server (200) can determine that the password (PW) is trustworthy. On the other hand, if the issuer of the password (PW) is not trustworthy (e.g., third party X), the content server (200) can determine that the password (PW) is not trustworthy.

[0127] At this time, the content server (200) can verify not only the issuer of the current password (PW) but also the issuer of the past password (PW). For example, in some embodiments, the password (PW) may be updated. In this case, the content server (200) can verify the issuer of not only the current password (PW) but also the past password (PW) to determine whether the password (PW) is trustworthy. For example, the content server (200) can determine whether the password (PW) is trustworthy using a known method such as an SSL certificate, but the present embodiment is not limited to such an example.

[0128] If the password is trustworthy, the content server (200) determines whether the password is activated (S74). On the other hand, if the password is not trustworthy, the content server (200) does not provide sound content to the audio output device (100) (S82).

[0129] If the password is activated, the content server (200) provides sound content to the audio output device (100) (S81). On the other hand, if the password is not activated, the content server (200) does not provide sound content to the audio output device (100) (S82).

[0130] If the password (PW) is trustworthy, the content server (200) can determine whether the password (PW) is active. If the password is active, the content server (200) can determine that the content request signal (Rqst) is normal. Accordingly, the content server (200) can provide sound content (Cnt) corresponding to the content ID (CID) to the audio output device (100).

[0131] On the other hand, if the password is not reliable or is not activated, the content server (200) may determine that the content request signal (Rqst) is abnormal. Accordingly, the content server (200) may not provide the sound content (Cnt) to the audio output device (100).

[0132]

[0133] Figure 8 is a flowchart illustrating an audio provision method according to some embodiments of the present invention. Parts that overlap with the above description are omitted or simplified.

[0134] Referring to FIG. 8, the electronic device (300) recognizes a first manufacturing ID from a first sound doll (401) (S100). Subsequently, the electronic device (300) generates a first content ID for the first sound doll (401) (S200). The electronic device (300) provides the first content ID to the first sound doll (401) (S300) and transmits information about the first content ID to the content server (200) (S330). In addition, the electronic device (300) transmits a first password for the first content ID to the audio output device (100) (S340). The content server (200) registers the first content ID (S350).

[0135] The first sound doll (401) may have a first communication chip built in, and the first communication chip may include a first manufacturing ID. The electronic device (300) may recognize the first communication chip and obtain the first manufacturing ID.

[0136] The electronic device (300) may perform a verification on the first communication chip and generate a first content ID for the first sound doll (401). Subsequently, the electronic device (300) may provide the first content ID to the first sound doll (401) and transmit information about the first content ID to the content server (200). The content server (200) may register the first content ID based on the information about the first content ID.

[0137] In addition, the electronic device (300) recognizes a second manufacturing ID from the second sound doll (402) (S400). Subsequently, the electronic device (300) generates a second content ID for the second sound doll (402) (S500). The electronic device (300) provides the second content ID to the second sound doll (402) (S600) and transmits information about the second content ID to the content server (200) (S630). In addition, the electronic device (300) transmits a second password for the second content ID to the audio output device (100) (S640). The content server (200) registers the second content ID (S650).

[0138] The second sound doll (402) may be equipped with a second communication chip different from the first communication chip. The second communication chip may include a second manufacturing ID different from the first manufacturing ID. The electronic device (300) may generate and provide the second content ID in the same manner as the first sound doll (401).

[0139] Meanwhile, the audio output device (100) recognizes the first content ID from the first sound doll (401) (S700). Subsequently, the audio output device (100) generates a first content request signal (S800) and transmits the first content request signal to the content server (200) (S900).

[0140] The first content ID recognition step (S700) of the audio output device (100) may be performed in the same manner as steps S40 to S80 described above. Furthermore, although not illustrated in the drawing, the same method may be performed even when the audio output device (100) recognizes the second content ID.

[0141]

[0142] Fig. 9 is an exemplary diagram for explaining the audio output device and sound doll of Fig. 1.

[0143] Referring to FIG. 9, a young child user can play sound content by placing a sound doll (400) in the docking space of an audio output device (100). At this time, the audio output device (100) can identify the first sound doll (401) placed in the docking space through near-field communication (NFC). In addition, the docking space of the audio output device (100) and the sound doll (400) may each include a magnet, and the docking space and the sound doll (400) may be fixed by magnetic force. However, the present embodiment is not limited thereto.

[0144] The sound doll (400) may be formed to a size that can be held with one hand by a young child. Accordingly, the docking space may be formed to a size that can sufficiently accommodate the sound doll (400). The sound doll (400) may be formed in the shape of an animal or character that can stimulate the curiosity of young children. Furthermore, the sound doll (400) may be formed in a round shape without sharp edges to ensure the safety of young children. In this case, the sound doll (400) may be formed in multiple shapes, and each sound doll (400) may correspond to different sound contents.

[0145] For example, the first sound doll (401) may correspond to content recorded by the user's guardian, and the second sound doll (402) may correspond to animal nursery rhyme content. The third sound doll (403), the fourth sound doll (404), and the fifth sound doll (405) may correspond to traditional fairy tales, rhythmic nursery rhymes, and language learning content, respectively. Accordingly, when the user wishes to play a desired sound content, the sound doll (400) corresponding to the sound content can be recognized by the audio output device (100) to play the sound content. However, the specific appearance of the sound doll (400) and the sound content corresponding to each may vary as needed.

[0146] A user can safely select a sound doll (400) with one hand and easily dock it into the docking space of the audio output device (100). Furthermore, the user can also detach the docked sound doll (400) with one hand. This allows the audio output device (100) to output sound content corresponding to the newly docked sound doll (400) when the user docks another sound doll (400).

[0147] The sound content output process of this audio output device (100) is simply composed of a docking and detaching process, so that even infants and toddlers can easily operate it.

[0148]

[0149] The audio provision method and system of the present invention can provide services using a content ID different from the manufacturing ID of the communication chip. Furthermore, the present invention can assign a password to the communication chip and provide services based on the reliability of the password. This can prevent third-party duplication using the manufacturing ID, thereby protecting copyrighted works.

[0150] Furthermore, the present invention can minimize human errors occurring in the identifier registration process by performing registration of a manufacturing ID and assignment and registration of a content ID simultaneously.
