Abstract
Description
[0001] “System for opening and sliding a mosquito net”
[0002] Description
[0003] Field of the art
[0004] The invention refers to an innovative system ideated for more greatly sealing mosquito nets with tank guide, in order to limit the infiltrations of insects and impurities in the small openings between the net and the guide, caused by the wind; the present invention further provides for a system for protecting the sheet, which prevents the breakage thereof during the opening and closing of the mosquito net.
[0005] Prior art
[0006] The mosquito nets with friction lateral sliding are one type of mosquito net designed for being laterally opened or closed without the use of springs or elastic components.
[0007] The “friction” element refers to the resistance offered by the sliding system, which can be controlled in order to ensure a fluid movement, obtaining the desired opening of the mosquito net.
[0008] In general, this mosquito net type uses a system with “tank” guide and rollers that slide along a lateral track.
[0009] The friction is incorporated in the sliding system in order to maintain the mosquito net in the desired position, without requiring the use of additional locking mechanisms. This design allows a more fluid operation and allows the users to position the mosquito net at different heights on the window or on the door.
[0010] The mosquito nets with friction lateral sliding offer an alternative to many of the conventional mosquito nets and they are often appreciated for their ease of use.
[0011] The operation of these mosquito nets is often rather intuitive.
[0012] The lateral guides contain rollers that recall the tracks of tanks, and that allow the mosquito net to slide thereon without stress. This roller system simplifies the opening and closing of the mosquito net, facilitating the daily use thereof.
[0013] The tank mosquito nets can be produced with different materials, such as aluminum, silicone or stainless steel.
[0014] Nevertheless, at the present state of the art, the problem has not yet been resolved tied to the infiltrations caused by the remaining spaces between the net of the mosquito net and said tracks or rollers; nor has the problem tied to the constant breakage of the sheet, an integral part of any tank mosquito net, been further resolved.
[0015] Indeed the tank guide, even if convenient for the opening and closing, is unable to render the internal rooms entirely hermetic, since any one gust of wind is capable of slightly moving the net, allowing the entrance of insects and dust.
[0016] Not even the patent NL2034964, published on 12 December 2023, resolves the abovementioned problems since it claims a system for constraining a mosquito net within an upright, without in any way resolving the problems tied to the infiltrations of impurities within the rollers that constitute the tank guide.
[0017] Object of the present patent application is therefore that of describing a system for opening a mosquito net that is totally hermetic, in order to minimize the entrance of insects and impurities from the lower edge of a common net engaged inside a tank guide.
[0018] Description of the invention
[0019] According to the present invention, a system is attained for opening and sliding a mosquito net that effectively resolves the abovementioned problems. The system, object of the invention, is adapted to seal rooms from infiltrations of dust and impurities that commonly find space between the net of the mosquito net and the tank guide used to open and close such mosquito net.
[0020] By employing at least two gaskets engaged inside said guide, or even only one suitable designed for being placed on the external side, it is possible to reduce the annoying noise caused by the wind, it is possible to reduce the infiltrations of the impurities, but above all it is possible to prevent the access of insects to the internal rooms.
[0021] The present system is suitable for being easily incorporated within any one pre-existing tank guide, attaining suitable grooves in the internal walls of the guide.
[0022] The system described in the present patent application thus comprises the use of at least one net, adapted to be rolled up and unrolled in order to allow the total protection of the window or of the door from insects.
[0023] The system then comprises a tank guide characterized by the presence of at least one groove placed on the external side of the mosquito net; if there are two grooves, each would house one gasket; such guide allows the opening and closing of the mosquito net door, allowing the lower edge of the aforesaid net at its interior.
[0024] When the mosquito net is opened, hence with the net completely rolled up, said tank guide is hidden within one of the uprights of the door.
[0025] Said two gaskets are designed to be engaged in the grooves comprised inside said tank guide, in order to tighten the aforesaid net at their interior. Such two gaskets are symmetric with respect to each other and allow a hermetic sealing of the tank guide which commonly houses dust and bacteria.
[0026] The movements of the net due to possible gusts of wind are therefore limited by said gaskets, since they are adapted to be overlapped on the lower edge of said net. Even only one gasket has proven suitable for maintaining the position of the net, if it is accompanied by a net-pulling device.
[0027] In one embodiment thereof, said gaskets are made of silicone, a flexible material such to facilitate the positioning thereof within the upright when the mosquito net is closed. Alternatively, said gaskets are made of silicone, in order to contribute to the lightness of the mosquito net, maintaining low production costs.
[0028] Above said net, a harmonic steel sheet is instead installed that is capable of accompanying the movement of the sliding system of the mosquito net, synchronizing the opening of the lower edge of the net with its upper edge. Said sheet is externally covered with a fiber that gives greater rigidity to possible deformations, which can cause breakages in the common sheets employed at the present state of the art.
[0029] By way of non-limiting example, said sheet is capable of being modulated with other sheets of the same type, thus varying the rigidity of the material and providing for possible breakages that would cause the mosquito net to malfunction.
[0030] In one embodiment thereof, the fiber that covers said sheet is based on glass and resin; alternatively the fiber that covers said sheet is carbon-based, in order to minimize the weights of the system, while maintaining acceptable aesthetics of the finished product.
[0031] In order to connect said tank guide with the harmonic steel sheet, at least one connection wire made of steel or fiber is employed, in order to synchronize the opening movement of both edges of said net.
[0032] The system, object of the invention, comprises a further novelty, identified in a magnet, installed underneath the tank guide, on the floor of the room where the present opening system is adapted to slide. Said magnet is suitable to mate with a ferromagnetic material placed inside said tank guide.
[0033] Said magnet and said ferromagnetic material, when they mate, are capable of more greatly tightening the two gaskets, constraining such net inside them, exploiting a mechanism activated by the generated magnetic system.
[0034] By way of a non-limiting example, said magnet and said ferromagnetic material are adapted to slide, along the entire sliding axis of the mosquito net, in order to allow the user to adjust the mosquito net in accordance with the actual dimensions of the fixtures in which the present system is installed.
[0035] An LED indicator is instead adapted to be installed on the sliding handle-bar used to open and close the present mosquito net. Such LED indicator is suitable to light up if the mosquito net is opened in an intermediate position, i.e. neither completely open nor completely closed; said LED indicator has proven to be capable of communicating with said magnet, in order to identify the opening percentage of the present mosquito net.
[0036] The advantages offered by the present invention are evident in light of the description set forth up to now and will be even clearer due to the enclosed figures and to the detailed description. Description of the figures
[0037] The invention will be described hereinbelow in at least one preferred embodiment by way of a non-limiting example with the aid of the enclosed figures, in which:
[0038] - FIGURE 1 shows a perspective view of the mosquito net obtained with the opening and sliding system, object of the invention, which is adapted to be opened and closed in a friction manner, at the same time limiting the infiltrations of dust and insects due to the advantageous sealing of the tank guide 15, obtained by means of the installation of at least two gaskets 14.
[0039] - FIGURE 2 shows a perspective view adapted to show the operation of the gaskets 14 placed inside said tank guide 15.
[0040] - FIGURE 3 shows a cross section of one of the tank guides 15, useful for showing the presence of suitable grooves 17 adapted to house at least two gaskets 14 at their interior.
[0041] Detailed description of the invention
[0042] The present invention will now be illustrated as a merely non-limiting or non-binding example, with reference to the figures which illustrate several embodiments relative to the present inventive concept.
[0043] With reference to FIG. 1, a mosquito net is illustrated that is equipped with the innovative opening and sliding system described in the present patent application.
[0044] The net 10 of the mosquito net is adapted to be opened and closed by exploiting the sliding of a tank guide 15, which, in closed position, is adapted to be internally comprised within one of the uprights 16.
[0045] The net 10 is adapted to be unrolled by employing a handle 13 that comprises an LED light 12 above, necessary for signaling, with its turning on, the incomplete opening or incomplete closing of the mosquito net.
[0046] The correct opening of the net 10 is ensured by the presence of a sheet 11, made of harmonic metal and installed above, suitable for synchronizing the opening and closing movement of the lower edge of the net 10 with its upper edge. Said sheet 11 is advantageously covered, in order to render said component resistant to shear and tensile stresses, to which it is subjected during the opening and closing of the mosquito net.
[0047] At least two gaskets 14 are adapted to isolate the space comprised inside said tank guide 15, so as to prevent the infiltration of dust and insects when the mosquito net is subjected to strong gusts of wind, which could lift the net 10 from the guide 15.
[0048] Such gaskets 14 are adapted to tighten said net 10, constraining it in position when the mosquito net is open, hence unrolled.
[0049] With reference to FIG. 2, an external view is illustrated of a tank guide 15, suitable for housing at least two gaskets 14 at its interior that are designed to be engaged within suitable grooves 17 which are made on the internal walls of said guide 15.
[0050] Such gaskets 14 are suitable to be overlapped on the net 10, in order to prevent each movement and oscillation thereof following gusts of wind. Such gaskets 14 are also advantageously adapted to seal the guide 15, which commonly contains dirt and impurities.
[0051] With reference to FIG. 3, a cross section is illustrated of the tank guide 15, suitable for housing at least said two gaskets 14 at its interior, in order to render the guide 15 hermetic, limiting the infiltrations of dirt at its interior.
[0052] In the present figure, the presence is shown of suitable grooves 17, suitable for housing said gaskets 14.
[0053] From this angle, there is quite clearly the presence of a plurality of magnets 18, installed underneath the guide, adapted to mate with ferromagnetic materials 19 placed inside the tank guide 15, constraining the position of the mosquito net, when subjected to external forces. Finally, it is clear that modifications, additions or variations that are obvious for a man skilled in the art can be made to the invention described up to now, without departing from the protective scope that is provided by the enclosed claims.
