Abstract

The invention is about an odor-proof waste bin for the collection of waste diapers, alternatively pet waste, household garbage, medical waste and all odor-containing waste for disposal, suitable for all areas where needed, such as homes, workplaces and hospitals.

[0003] The invention is about an odor-proof waste bin for the collection of waste diapers, alternatively pet waste, household garbage, medical waste and all odor-containing waste for disposal, suitable for all areas where needed, such as homes, workplaces and hospitals.

[0004] State of the Art

[0005] Waste bins are often used by families with babies. A 6-month old baby may need diaper changes 4-8 times a day on average. In this case, it's not possible to dispose of waste diapers in a garbage bin outside the home every time. When these waste diapers are disposed in the standard household garbage, there occurs a risk of odor and contamination. For this reason, odor-proof waste bins have been invented and developed overtime, for diapers or all kinds of wastes with odor contamination risk. And the invention subject to this specifications serves this matter.

[0006] In the current technique, there are waste bin systems working with different methods. In some of these products, a disc is moved by turning by hand (manually) and the wastes are thrown into the hopper through the gap created by the opening of the disc. The disc is turned manually while doing so, so it's up to the user to decide how much to turn the disc. Full hygiene cannot be ensured as there's is hand contact around the disc where the diaper is to be disposed of. Since the bagging is done individually, there's bag consumption and the process becomes neither environmentally friendly nor economical. There are also cartridge-free bag placing and difficulties in using in other different models. There's no child-lock function in the alternative models of the current technique. As a result, children are able to open the waste bin and cause odor and contamination spread around.

[0007] In conclusion, there's a need for a new waste bin which overcomes the disadvantages of the current situation of the technique.

[0009] The invention is a waste bin which overcomes the disadvantages of the current situation of the technique and additionally involves extra advantages.

[0010] The aim of the invention is to provide a waste bin that ensures the collection of wastes containing odor such as diapers, household wastes, medical wastes, in a way that does not leak odor and contamination, in compliance with hygiene rules.

[0011] Another aim of the invention is to provide a waste bin that's safe to use thanks to its included lock which cannot be opened by children.

[0012] Another aim of the invention is to provide a new waste bin that facilitates cartridge replacement, has a use and design suitable also for conventional waste and medical equipment waste and offers hygienic and practical use.

[0044] Description of the Invention

[0045] In this detailed description, the waste bin subject to invention is described with examples that does not create any limitation for better understanding of the matter in hand.

[0046] The perspective view of the waste bin subject to invention is given in Figure 1. Accordingly, the waste bin includes at least a hopper (10) for a bag (27) in which the waste is disposed, at least a frame (11) on the hopper (10) housing a cartridge (13) where bags (27) are stored and at least a lid (12) on the frame (11) which can be opened and closed. Said lid (12) can be opened and closed as seen in Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5 with an open-close button (16).

[0047] The exploded view of the waste bin subject to invention is given in Figure 2 and the perspective view with its lid (12) open is given in Figure 3. Accordingly, there's a lid pin (21) which makes the connection of the lid (12) with the frame (11) in a way to be able to be opened and closed and a lid spring (22) which automatically opens the lid (12). There's a cartridge (13) inside the frame (11) of the invention. Said cartridge (13) contains the bags stored in its interior space. A cartridge cover (14) on the top surface of the cartridge (13), contains a cartridge inner cover (15) placed in the gap in the middle of the said cartridge (14). The cartridge inner cover (15) opens inward when a force is applied from above. In this situation, the waste product is thrown into the bag (27) through the gap crated by the opening of the cartridge inner cover (15). Said cartridge inner cover (15) includes an inner cover spring (23) as seen in Figure 2 and when the force applied on the cartridge inner cover (15) is released, the cartridge inner cover (15) turns back to its initial closed position. There's a seal (24) around the cartridge inner cover (15) to prevent odor and contamination leak. The cartridge inner cover (15) also includes a safe-lock mechanism to prevent children open the cartridge inner cover (15). Said safe-lock mechanism consists of a lock button (18), a lock attachment (19) and a lock screw (20). The lock button (18) is used by turning it as seen in Figure 5.

[0048] There's a cartridge (13) inside the frame (11) in the invention. The cartridge (13) is the part containing the bag (27) as seen in Figure 7. There are hundreds of bags (27) inside the cartridge (13). When the waste bin is full, the full bag (27) is cut and removed and a clean bag (27) is pulled from the cartridge (13) and used. When the bags (27) are finished a new cartridge (13) is replaced with the old one.

[0051] (28), the frame (11) and the hopper (10) is separated from each other. Then, the full bag (27) is cut with the blade (26) in the blade bearing (25) located at the bottom of the frame (11). Afterwards, the clean bag (27) in the cartridge (13) is pulled and extended, and its bottom is knotted as seen in Figure 7. Then, the frame (11) is placed on the hopper (10) as shown with the arrows and the frame lugs (28) and the frame lug slots (29) are fit together. In the invention, if there's no bags (27) left in the cartridge (13), cartridge (13) will replaced. As seen in Figure 8, the cartridge (13) is installed to the bottom of the frame (11) with cartridge installation lugs (17). When pressure is applied to the cartridge installation lugs (17), the cartridge (13) and the frame (11) are separated from each other. The new cartridge (13) is installed to the frame (11) and the invention continues to be used.

[0052] The invention has a wide volume and a square and modern design. As it can be used for waste diapers, it's also suitable for all kinds of odorous and contaminated waste. Bag (27) and cartridge (13) replacements are easy. It involves a safety mechanism for children and pets. In this form, it can also be used as a traditional dustbin.

Claims

CLAIMS1. The invention is a waste bin that is used for the collection of all waste with odor and contamination for disposal, includes at least a hopper (10), a lid (12) and at least a cartridge (13) containing a plurality of bags (27), and its characteristics are;• including at least a frame (11 ) that is placed between the hopper (10) and the lid (12) and serves as a housing for the equipment in the invention,• including at least a cartridge inner cover (15) that is located on the top surface of the cartridge (13) placed inside the said frame (11) and opens and closes to provide reach to a bag (27) at the bottom of the cartridge (13),• including at least an inner cover spring (23) that ensures the said cartridge inner cover (15) to turn back to its closed state,• including at least a seal (24) that is placed around the cartridge inner cover (15) and prevents odor and contamination leak,• including a safe-lock mechanism to prevent the cartridge inner cover (15) opened by children or pets,• including at least a blade (26) and a blade bearing (25) at the bottom of the frame (11) that cuts the bag (27) while taking the full bag (27),• including the cartridge installation lugs (17) located at the bottom of the frame (11) for removing and installing the cartridge (13) for replacement.

2. The invention is a waste bin as mentioned in Claim 1 , and its characteristic is; the said safe-lock mechanism consisting of a turn-operated lock button (18), a lock attachment (19) and a lock screw (20).

3. The invention is a waste bin as mentioned in Claim 1 , and its characteristic is; said frame (11) including the frame lugs (28) and frame lug slots (29) that allow it to be installed to the hopper (10).

4. The invention is a waste bin as mentioned in Claim 1 , and its characteristic is; including an opening button (16) that is touch operated to open the said lid (12).

5. The invention is a waste bin as mentioned in Claim 4, and its characteristic is; including at least a lid pin (21) and a lid spring (22) that allow automatic opening of the lid (12) when the said opening button (16) is pressed.
