Abstract
Description
Method for providing an option picker screen and device thereof
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method for providing an option picker screen for selecting purchase options for a purchase target, such as a product or service, and to a computing system employing the method. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a method for providing an option picker screen with an optimal layout in a situation where a purchase option comprising multiple attributes is selected, and to a computing system employing the method.
[0002] The process of purchasing a product through online commerce includes selecting a product, displaying a product purchase screen including an option picker screen for specifying purchase options such as quantity and size based on the properties of the selected product, specifying selection items through the option picker screen, and entering delivery address and payment information.
[0003] Even for the same product, as its attributes become more diverse, the number of options a buyer must choose from can vary. For example, when purchasing milk, a buyer may need to choose between two attributes: volume and quantity. The most basic layout for an option picker screen would be a list-view layout, where the available purchase options are arranged.
[0004] However, when an option picker screen having a list-type layout is provided despite the fact that there are multiple attributes constituting the purchase option as described above, it may be difficult for the buyer to select a single selection item. For example, if a product seller has registered four selection items for each of two attributes, the total number of combinations will be 16 (4 X 4). The buyer may find it difficult to select one item from 16 selection items. To address this issue, an option picker screen having a tab-view type layout may be provided. The tab-view type option picker screen may be understood as a screen in which each selection item of the first attribute is displayed as a tab, and each selection item of the second attribute of the selection item of the first attribute corresponding to the selected tab is displayed as an item of a list. An exemplary layout of the tab-view type option picker screen will be described later with reference to FIG. 3.
[0005] Accordingly, there is a need to provide an option picker screen with an optimal layout that takes into account various situations.
[0006] A technical problem to be solved in some embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method for providing an option picker screen for selecting a purchase option composed of selection items of a first attribute and selection items of a second attribute, using information about the purchase option to provide an appropriate type of option picker screen among a list-view type and a tab-view type, and a computing system for performing the method.
[0007] Another technical problem to be solved in some embodiments of the present disclosure is a method for providing an option picker screen of a type automatically selected from among a list-view type and a tab-view type to help a user's convenience of operation and intuitive understanding of selectable option information by reflecting the distribution of selection items for each attribute, and a computing system for performing the method.
[0008] Another technical problem to be solved in some embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method for providing an option picker screen of a type automatically selected from among a list-view type and a tab-view type in order to increase a purchase conversion rate, and a computing system for performing the method.
[0009] The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art of the present disclosure from the description below.
[0010] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure for solving the above technical problem, a method for providing an option picker screen may include the steps of: obtaining purchase option information for a first product, wherein the purchase option information includes information on a plurality of selection items for options of a first attribute and information on one or more selection items of a second attribute that are selection items for options of a second attribute different from the first attribute and that can be selected for each of the first attributes; determining whether a distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute satisfies an attribute merging requirement; and, if the merge-attribute display requirement is satisfied, generating an option picker screen of a list-view type including a list of option selection items of the merged attribute. In this case, the list of option selection items of the merged attribute may be composed of selection items of the merged attribute in which the first attribute and the second attribute are combined.
[0011] The step of generating the option picker screen of the above list-view type may include the step of generating the option picker screen of the above list-view type as an initial option picker screen in response to determining that the merge-attribute display requirement is satisfied.
[0012] The above attribute merging requirement may be determined to be satisfied by using at least some of the following: whether the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is at most 1; whether the maximum number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is less than or equal to a first preset criterion; whether the ratio of the number of selection items having one or fewer selection items of the second attribute among the selection items of the first attribute is greater than or equal to a second preset criterion; and whether the ratio of the number of selection items having multiple selection items of the second attribute among the selection items of the first attribute is less than or equal to a third preset criterion.
[0013] The above option selection item list may include merged-attribute option items that display the merged-attribute option name of each of the merged-attribute selection items. The merged-attribute option name is a sequential connection of the selection item name of the first attribute and the selection item name of the second attribute, and the step of generating the list-view type option picker screen may include a step of generating an option picker screen in which a merged-attribute indicator is displayed that sequentially connects the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute in an adjacent area of the option selection item list. At least one of the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute is a modified attribute name, and the modified attribute name may be a standard attribute name adopted using the original name of the first attribute entered by the seller of the first product among a plurality of pre-registered standard attribute names. The step of generating an option picker screen in which the above merge-attribute indicator is displayed may include: a step of determining, as the name of the first attribute, a standard attribute name selected using the original name of the first attribute among a plurality of pre-registered standard attribute names, if the length of the original name of the first attribute entered by the seller of the first product exceeds a fourth criterion; and a step of determining, as the name of the second attribute, a standard attribute name selected using the original name of the second attribute among a plurality of pre-registered standard attribute names, if the length of the original name of the second attribute entered by the seller of the first product exceeds the fourth criterion. The above merge-attribute indicator may be a combination of sequentially connecting the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute, and further connecting a selection item name of the currently selected merge-attribute option item.
[0014] If the above merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied, the step of generating a list-view type option picker screen including a list of merged-attribute option selection items may include a step of generating the list-view type option picker screen if the merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied in a situation where a purchase conversion rate (CVR) of the first product is less than a preset fifth criterion. If the above merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied, the step of generating the list-view type option picker screen including a list of merged-attribute option selection items may further include a step of generating a tab-view type option picker screen if the purchase conversion rate of the first product is equal to or greater than the fifth criterion. In this case, the tab-view type option picker screen may be a screen in which each of the selection items of the first attribute is displayed as a tab, and each of the selection items of the second attribute of the selection items of the first attribute corresponding to the selected tab is displayed as an item of a list.
[0015] If the above merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied, the step of generating a list-view type option picker screen including a list of merged-attribute option selection items may include the steps of: determining a preference type of the option picker screen of a first user who requested information on the first product by synthesizing the types of the option picker screens of the first user at the time of purchase; if the preference type of the first user is the list-view type and the merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied, the step of generating the list-view type option picker screen; and if the preference type of the first user is not the list-view type, the step of generating a tab-view type option picker screen. In this case, the tab-view type option picker screen may be a screen in which each of the selection items of the first attribute is displayed as a tab, and each of the selection items of the second attribute of the selection items of the first attribute corresponding to the selected tab is displayed as an item of a list.
[0016] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure for solving the above technical problem, a method for providing an option picker screen may include a step of obtaining purchase option information for a first product, wherein the purchase option information includes information on a plurality of selection items for an option of a first attribute and information on one or more selection items of a second attribute that are selection items different from the first attribute and that can be selected for each of the first attributes, a step of determining a type of an initial option picker screen as one of a tab-view type and a list-view type using a distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute, and a step of generating an initial option picker screen of the determined type. At this time, the option picker screen of the list-view type includes a list of option selection items of the merged-attribute, and the option picker screen of the tab-view type is a screen in which each of the selection items of the first attribute is displayed as a tab, and each of the selection items of the second attribute of the selection item of the first attribute corresponding to the selected tab is displayed as an item of the list, and the option selection item list of the merged-attribute may be composed of selection items of the merged-attribute in which the first attribute and the second attribute are combined.
[0017] The above-determining step may include a step of determining the type of the initial option picker screen as a list-view type when the number of selection items of the second attribute per selection item of the first attribute is at most 1.
[0018] The step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute may include the step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute and the purchase conversion rate (CVR) of the first product. The step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute and the purchase conversion rate (CVR) of the first product may include the step of determining the initial option picker screen as a list-view type when the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is 2 or less at most and the purchase conversion rate of the first product falls below a preset fifth criterion.
[0019] The step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute may include the step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute and the preferred type of the option picker screen of the first user who requested information on the first product. The preferred type of the option picker screen of the first user may be determined by synthesizing the types of the option picker screens at the time of purchase by the first user.
[0020] The step of determining the initial option picker screen as either a tab-view type option picker screen or a list-view type option picker screen by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute and the preferred type of the option picker screen of the first user who requested information on the first product may include the step of determining the initial option picker screen as the list-view type option picker screen if the preferred type of the first user is the list-view type and satisfies the merged-attribute display requirement.
[0021] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure for solving the above technical problem, a product purchase screen providing system may include a memory for loading a product purchase screen providing program, and one or more processors for executing the product purchase screen providing program. In this case, the product purchase screen providing program may include an instruction for obtaining purchase option information for a first product, wherein the purchase option information includes information on a plurality of selection items for options of a first attribute and information on one or more selection items of a second attribute that are different from the first attribute and can be selected for each of the first attributes; an instruction for determining whether a distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute satisfies an attribute merging requirement; and an instruction for generating data of an option picker screen of a list-view type including a list of option selection items of the merged attribute if the merged-attribute display requirement is satisfied. The list of optional selection items of the above merge-attribute may be composed of selection items of the merge-attribute that are a combination of the first attribute and the second attribute.

[0031] FIG. 16 is a hardware configuration diagram of a computing system described in some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0032] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The advantages and features of the present invention, and methods for achieving them, will become clear with reference to the embodiments described in detail below together with the accompanying drawings. However, the technical idea of the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments, but can be implemented in various different forms. The following embodiments are provided only to complete the technical idea of the present invention and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the scope of the present invention, and the technical idea of the present invention is defined only by the scope of the claims. In describing the present disclosure, if a detailed description of a related well-known structure or function is determined to obscure the gist of the present invention, the detailed description thereof will be omitted. Hereinafter, several embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0033] The configuration and operation of an online commerce system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 1. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the online commerce system according to the present embodiment may include an online shopping service server (1) and a product information management system (2).
[0034] The seller terminal (20) used by the seller can access the product information management system (2) and register product information related to the product to be sold. For example, the seller terminal (20) can register the product information through a product information input form provided by the product information management system (2). The product information may include detailed information content about the product and purchase option information about the product. The product information management system (2) can provide the product information registered in the online shopping service server (1) periodically / aperiodically, or provide product information of the requested product in response to a request from the online shopping service server (1). It goes without saying that the online shopping service server (1) can refer to the product information registered in the product information management system (2) by the seller terminal (20) when generating or searching data necessary for displaying a purchase screen for the product.
[0035] The online commerce system according to this embodiment should not be understood as solely selling products. For example, the online commerce system according to this embodiment could be a system that provides pages for selling or booking services. For example, the online commerce system could be a system that provides pages for booking hotels, travel products, concerts, insurance, or signing up for digital subscription products. Considering this, FIG. 1 clearly illustrates that the request made by the purchaser terminal (10) to the online shopping service server (1) is a request for a purchase screen for a first product or first service.
[0036] By referring to all objects that can be sold in this disclosure as "purchase objects," it is intended to make clear that this disclosure is not limited to the creation of an option picker screen related to a product purchase screen, but presents a technical idea that can be applied to various purchase objects such as products and services.
[0037] The online shopping service server (1) may be a server that serves as the front-end of the online shopping service. That is, the online shopping service server (1) may transmit data of a purchase screen displayed on a purchaser terminal (10) to the purchaser terminal (10). For example, in response to a request for a purchase screen for a first product from the purchaser terminal (10), the online shopping service server (1) may generate or retrieve data necessary for displaying a purchase screen for the first product, and transmit the generated or retrieved data to the purchaser terminal (10) as a response to the request for the purchase screen for the first product. The purchase screen may be configured according to a layout that includes a product information screen, an option picker screen, a purchaser review screen, etc.
[0038] In the present disclosure, the "option picker screen" may be understood as a screen including a user interface for selecting at least some of a plurality of selection items that must be input to accurately specify a product to be purchased. Typically, the option picker screen is displayed on a purchase screen that is displayed when a specific product to be purchased is selected from a screen listing multiple products to be purchased, along with product information or service information to be purchased. Hereinafter, the initial option picker screen, which is displayed along with product information, etc. when the purchase screen is displayed, and in which no user operation for selecting a purchase option has been input, will be referred to as the "initial option picker screen."
[0039] The above purchase screen may be created to implement various layouts and user input flows, depending on needs and screen design. For example, the purchase screen may be configured such that the product information screen and the option picker screen are placed adjacent to each other on a single screen. Alternatively, the option picker screen and the product information screen may be separate screens, and the option picker screen may be created so that the user can navigate to the option picker screen by clicking the "Select Purchase Option" button on the product information screen. In this case, the initial option picker screen may be understood as a screen displayed in response to selecting the purchase option selection button.
[0040] The data of the above purchase screen may be configured in the form of a web document based on HTML (HyperText Markup Language). Accordingly, the purchase screen data may be rendered by a web browser installed on the purchaser terminal (10) or a browsing module embedded in an application, thereby allowing the purchase screen to be displayed on the purchaser terminal (10). In other words, the data of the purchase screen is the data that is the object of rendering, and is referred to as rendering data. The rendering data may be any form of HTML-based data that can be interpreted by a web browser or a browsing module embedded in an application.
[0041] In some embodiments, the online shopping service server (1) may generate the rendering data of the option picker screen, transmit the generated rendering data to the purchaser terminal (10), and the purchaser terminal (10) may render the option picker screen using the received rendering data, thereby causing the purchase screen to be displayed on the display of the purchaser terminal (10). In this case, it will be referred to as the online shopping service server (1) generating the option picker screen.
[0042] In addition, in some other embodiments, the buyer terminal (10) may perform at least part of the operation of generating the rendering data of the option picker screen using information such as a purchase option list for a purchase target received from the online shopping service server (1), and may display the option picker screen by rendering the completed rendering data. That is, the buyer terminal (10) may generate the entire rendering data of the option picker screen, or the buyer terminal (10) may finally complete the rendering data based on the rendering data of the incomplete option picker screen received from the online shopping service server (1). In this case, it will be referred to as the buyer terminal (10) generating the option picker screen.
[0043] That is, it should be understood that the technical idea according to the present disclosure may not specify the subject of generation of the option picker screen as either the online shopping service server (1) or the purchaser terminal (10). For example, when the available resources of the online shopping service server (1) fall below a reference value, the operation related to generation of the option picker screen according to the present disclosure may be performed by an option picker auxiliary server (not shown) prepared as a separate computing resource from the online shopping service server (1).
[0044] When the operation related to generating an option picker screen according to the present disclosure is performed by the option picker auxiliary server, the 'attribute merging requirement' described below may be a specific requirement that is pre-designated as a requirement for the consumption of computing resources among a plurality of applicable attribute merging requirements. Accordingly, in a situation of heavy traffic of the online shopping service server (1), the computational load related to generating an option picker screen can be flexibly migrated to the outside, and even when the available computational capacity of the option picker auxiliary server is not abundant, the option picker screen can be stably generated by efficiently using computational resources.
[0045] In this embodiment, the option picker screen generated by the online shopping service server (1), generated by the purchaser terminal (10), or generated by the online shopping service server (1) and the purchaser terminal (10) may have a list-view type or tab-view type layout.
[0046] In the present disclosure, the type of the option picker screen can be automatically determined as either a list-view type or a tab-view type. For example, if the online shopping service server (1) performs an operation to generate an option picker screen, the online shopping service server (1) can automatically determine the type of the option picker screen, and the purchaser terminal (10) can automatically determine the type of the option picker screen.
[0047] The layout of the tab-view type may be a screen in which each of the selection items (110) of the first attribute is displayed as a tab, as illustrated in FIG. 3, and each of the selection items (120) of the second attribute of the selection item of the first attribute corresponding to the selected tab is displayed as an item of a list. In some embodiments, the option picker screen (100) of the tab-view type illustrated in FIG. 3 may display a focus indicator (111) in a tab area corresponding to the selection item of the currently selected first attribute, thereby inducing the buyer to intuitively recognize the selection item of the currently selected first attribute.
[0048] However, if only a tab-view type option picker screen (100) is unconditionally created because the purchase option of the product to be purchased consists of two attributes, it may be inefficient compared to a list-view type option picker screen (200) as illustrated in FIG. 4 in situations such as when the number of selection items of the second attribute per selection item of the first attribute is at most 1. For example, the tab-view type option picker screen (100) requires a user input to select a tab corresponding to each of the selection items (110) of the first attribute in order to change the first attribute, and thus may require additional user input compared to the list-view type option picker screen (200).
[0049] Although the option picker screen (100) of the tab-view type requires a tab selection operation for changing the first property, if the number of selection items of the second property is multiple for each selection item of the first property, it may help the user make an individual selection for each selection item of the first property and the second property through the option picker screen (100) of the tab-view type to make decision making easier. That is, if the number of selection items of the second property is multiple for each selection item of the first property, the effect of making selection easier will offset the inconvenience of the tab selection operation.
[0050] However, in cases where the effect of the tab-view type option picker screen (100) in facilitating selection is not great, such as when the number of selection items of the second attribute per selection item of the first attribute is at most 1, creating a list-view type option picker screen (200) composed of selection items of a merged attribute in which the first attribute and the second attribute are combined, as illustrated in FIG. 4, can minimize user operations for option selection and provide intuitiveness of showing all option items at a glance.
[0051] To facilitate understanding, operations related to automatic generation of an option picker screen according to this embodiment will be described assuming a situation in which an online shopping service server (1) generates an option picker screen.
[0052] An online shopping service server (1) can obtain purchase option information for a product to be purchased. The purchase option information may include information on multiple selection items for options of a first attribute, and information on selection items for options of a second attribute that are different from the first attribute, and information on one or more selection items of the second attribute that can be selected for each of the first attributes. The purchase option information may be structured, for example, as illustrated in FIG. 7 or FIG. 8. The structure of the purchase option information will be described in detail later with reference to FIG. 7 or FIG. 8.
[0053] Next, the online shopping service server (1) can determine whether the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute satisfies the attribute merging requirement.
[0054] The above attribute merge requirement may be any one of the requirements of multiple purchase option information for which a list-view type option picker screen is expected to facilitate user option selection more easily than a tab-view type option picker screen. If a product to be purchased has purchase option information that satisfies the attribute merge requirement, it may be expected that the purchase conversion rate will further increase when the option picker screen for the product to be purchased is created as a list-view type. Accordingly, if the number distribution satisfies the merge-attribute display requirement, the online shopping service server (1) may create a list-view type option picker screen including a list of merge-attribute option selection items. If the number distribution does not satisfy the merge-attribute display requirement, the online shopping service server (1) may create a tab-view type option picker screen in a conventional manner.
[0055] In some embodiments, the online shopping service server (1) may determine the type of the option picker screen as either a tab-view type or a list-view type by using the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute. In addition, the online shopping service server (1) may also determine the type of the option picker screen by using one or more additional pieces of information in addition to the distribution of the number.
[0056] For example, the online shopping service server (1) may determine the type of the option picker screen as a list-view type only when the purchase conversion rate of the product to be purchased falls below a preset fifth criterion and the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute per selection item of the first attribute satisfies the attribute merge requirement, and otherwise may determine the type of the option picker screen as a tab-view type. In this case, by investing computing resources for configuring selection items of a merged attribute that combines the first attribute and the second attribute only when the investment is deemed justifiable as an attempt to increase the low purchase conversion rate of the product to be purchased, it will be possible to prevent unnecessary waste of computing resources.
[0057] In addition, for example, even if the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute satisfies the attribute merging requirement, the online shopping service server (1) may determine the type of the option picker screen as the list-view type only when the preferred type of the user's option picker screen of the purchaser terminal (10) is the list-view type. The preferred type of the user's option picker screen may be determined by synthesizing the types of the option picker screens when the user makes a purchase. For example, when the percentage of confirmed purchases after selecting a purchase option through the list-view type option picker screen according to the user's purchase history exceeds a preset threshold, the preferred type of the user's option picker screen may be determined as the list-view type. In addition, when the percentage of confirmed purchases after selecting a purchase option through the list-view type option picker screen according to the user's purchase history is less than the preset threshold, the preferred type of the user's option picker screen may be determined as the tab-view type.
[0058] In this case, by generating an option picker screen of a type that the user is likely to purchase, it is possible to prevent unnecessary waste of computing resources by investing computing resources to configure selection items of a merged attribute that combines the first attribute and the second attribute only when the investment is deemed justifiable as an attempt to increase the purchase conversion rate of the product to be purchased.
[0059] Above, the configuration and operation of the online commerce system according to the present embodiment have been described with reference to FIG. 1. The operation method of the online shopping service server (1) or the purchaser terminal (10) of the online commerce system of the present disclosure can be understood in more detail with reference to other embodiments described below. Furthermore, the technical concepts that can be understood through the above-described embodiments of the processing system according to the present embodiment can be reflected in other embodiments described below, even if not specifically stated.
[0060] In addition, with respect to the configuration of the online shopping service server (1) and the purchaser terminal (10) described above, reference may be made to the hardware configuration of FIG. 16, which will be described later. That is, the online shopping service server (1) and the purchaser terminal (10) may have the hardware configuration described with reference to FIG. 16. In addition, the technical concepts that can be understood through several embodiments of the present disclosure described below may be applied to the online commerce system described above, even without separate description.
[0061] Next, a method for providing an option picker screen according to another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 2. The method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment may be performed by one or more computing systems. Furthermore, some operations of the method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment may be performed by a first computing device, and the remaining operations may be performed by a second computing device. For example, some operations of the method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment may be performed by an online shopping service server, and the remaining operations may be performed by a purchaser terminal. Hereinafter, if the entity performing each operation is omitted, it will be understood that the entity performing the operation is the computing system. Furthermore, it should be noted that the embodiments related to the online commerce system described with reference to FIG. 1 can naturally be applied to the method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment, even without separate mention. Hereinafter, the description of this embodiment will be given on the assumption that the purchase target is a product.
[0062] In step S100, purchase option information for a first product for which provision of information has been requested by the user is acquired. As described above, the purchase option information may include information on a plurality of selection items for options of a first attribute of the first product, and information on selection items of one or more second attributes that can be selected for each of the first attributes as selection items for options of a second attribute that are different from the first attribute. As illustrated in FIG. 7, the purchase option information (300) may be composed of information including a selection item name (310) of the first attribute, a selection item name (320) of the second attribute, and additional information (330) such as a price, for each purchase option that can actually be selected when purchasing the first product. In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 8, the purchase option information (300a) may be composed of information of a two-dimensional matrix in which selection items of the first attribute are arranged on the first axis (310a) and selection items of the second attribute are arranged on the second axis (320a).
[0063] In step S200, it is determined whether the attribute merging requirement is satisfied using the acquired purchase option information. As described above, it may be determined whether the number distribution of the selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute according to the acquired purchase option information satisfies the attribute merging requirement. If the number distribution satisfies the attribute merging requirement (S300), a list-view type option picker screen that presents selection items in a merged form of the selection items of each attribute may be generated (S400), and if the number distribution does not satisfy the attribute merging requirement (S300), a tab-view type option picker screen in which selection items of each attribute are individually selected may be generated (S500). The option picker screen generated in this way will form a purchase screen together with a product detail information screen, etc. (S600).
[0064] Below, the attribute merging requirements according to some embodiments are described.
[0065] If there is only one or no selection item for the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute, it would be less practical to first select the selection item of the first attribute and then select the selection item of the second attribute through the option picker screen of the tab-view type. In some embodiments, taking this into account, the attribute merging requirement may be satisfied when the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is at most one.
[0066] In some other embodiments, somewhat more relaxed attribute merging requirements may apply. The relaxed attribute merging requirements are described below.
[0067] At least for some of the first attribute selection items, there may be multiple second attribute selection items. However, even if the maximum number of second attribute selection items per first attribute selection item is less than or equal to a first preset criterion, it may be less practical to first select the first attribute selection item and then select the second attribute selection item through a tab-view type option picker screen. For example, if the maximum number of second attribute selection items per first attribute selection item is 2 or 3, displaying all of the merged-attribute selection items at once through a list-view type option picker screen rather than a tab-view type option picker screen may help the user easily select an option. In some embodiments, taking this into account, the attribute merging requirement may be satisfied when the maximum number of second attribute selection items per first attribute selection item is less than or equal to a first preset criterion.
[0068] Among the multiple selection items of the first attribute, only some may have multiple selection items of the second attribute. For example, among the four selection items of the first attribute, only one selection item may have multiple selection items of the second attribute, and the remaining three selection items of the first attribute may have one selection item of the second attribute or none of the selection items of the second attribute. Even in this case, the practical benefit of first selecting the selection item of the first attribute and then selecting the selection item of the second attribute through the option picker screen of the tab-view type may be low. In some embodiments, taking this into account, the attribute merging requirement may be satisfied when the ratio of the number of selection items having one or zero selection items of the second attribute is greater than or equal to a preset second criterion, or may be satisfied when the ratio of the number of selection items having multiple selection items of the second attribute among the selection items of the first attribute is less than a preset third criterion. For example, the second criterion may be 75%. Additionally, for example, the third criterion may be 25%.
[0069] Meanwhile, in some embodiments, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the option picker screen (200) of the list-view may include a merge-attribute indicator (210). The option picker screen (200) of the list-view may include a list of option selection items. The list of option selection items includes merge-attribute option items. Each of the merge-attribute option items may display a merge-attribute option name (211) that sequentially connects the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute. The merge-attribute option names of each of the merge-attribute option items displayed on the option picker screen (200) of the list-view of FIG. 5 are "330ml X 24ea", "500ml X 12ea", and "1L X 12ea". However, the names of the optional items of the first attribute, "330ml", "500ml", and "1L", are units indicating the volume of liquid, but their exact meaning may be ambiguous. Considering this, a merge-attribute indicator (210) may be displayed in an adjacent area of the list of optional selection items, and the merge-attribute indicator (210) may prevent user confusion related to the interpretation of merge-attribute option items by specifying the attribute names of the first attribute and the second attribute.
[0070] In some embodiments, the merge-attribute indicator (210) may sequentially connect the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute, and further connect the selection item name (212) of the currently selected merge-attribute option item. As the selected merge-attribute option item changes according to the user's selection input, the selection item name (212) may also be updated. Since the merge-attribute option name (211) and the selection item name (212) are sequentially connected and displayed, user confusion due to the first attribute and the second attribute being displayed in combination may be minimized.
[0071] As described above, the merged-attribute option name (211) sequentially connects the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute. However, the attribute name of the first attribute or the attribute name of the second attribute entered by the seller may rather cause user confusion. For example, if the attribute name entered by the seller includes excessive modifiers or is too long, the merged-attribute option name (211) may have difficulty minimizing user confusion. In preparation for such cases, at least one of the attribute name of the first attribute and the attribute name of the second attribute may be automatically replaced with a modified attribute name.
[0072] For example, if the length of the original name of the first attribute entered by the seller of the product exceeds the fourth criterion, a standard attribute name selected using the original name of the first attribute among the plurality of pre-registered standard attribute names may be determined as the name of the first attribute, and if the length of the original name of the second attribute entered by the seller of the product exceeds the fourth criterion, a standard attribute name selected using the original name of the second attribute among the plurality of pre-registered standard attribute names may be determined as the name of the second attribute.
[0073] The fourth threshold value may be a natural number that is variably adjusted based on the screen width of the user terminal, based on the maximum length of a commonly used attribute name. That is, the wider the screen width, the larger the fourth threshold value may be adjusted to. For example, the fourth threshold value may be 5.
[0074] The above-mentioned modified attribute name may be a standard attribute name adopted using the original name of the first attribute or the original name of the second attribute entered by the seller of the product among a plurality of previously registered standard attribute names. Furthermore, in some embodiments, if a standard attribute name corresponding to the original name cannot be determined among a plurality of previously registered standard attribute names, the merged attribute indicator (210) may not be displayed.
[0075] The above standard attribute name may be determined using output data of an attribute name output model that inputs an original name and outputs a modified attribute name that has high distinctiveness and a length shorter than the length of the original name. The attribute name output model may be an artificial intelligence model that is machine-learned using learning data including the original name, the standard attribute name, and the purchase conversion rate when the original name is replaced with the standard attribute name.
[0076] Next, with reference to FIG. 6, a method for providing an option picker screen according to another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described. The method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment, like the method for providing an option picker screen described with reference to FIG. 2, can also be performed by one or more computing systems. Furthermore, the method for providing an option picker screen according to this embodiment may have some operations performed by a first computing device, and the remaining operations performed by a second computing device.
[0077] In step S100, purchase option information for a first product for which information provision has been requested by the user is acquired. In step S150, the distribution of the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is determined based on the acquired purchase option information.
[0078] Based on the above number distribution, the type of the option picker screen can be determined (S300a). If the determined type is a list-view type, the option picker screen initially displayed without user intervention will be created as a list-view type (S400a). If the determined type is a tab-view type, the option picker screen initially displayed without user intervention will be created as a tab-view type (S500a). The option picker screen thus created will form a purchase screen together with a product detail information screen, etc. (S600).
[0079] As described above, if the number distribution satisfies the attribute merging requirement, the type of the option picker screen can be determined as a list-view type (S300a). As illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 12, the attribute merging requirement may be any one of a plurality of predetermined attribute merging requirements designated according to a preset policy. That is, step S300a may include obtaining information on a plurality of predetermined attribute merging requirements (S300a-1) and determining whether the number distribution satisfies the attribute merging requirement designated according to the preset policy (S300a-6).
[0080] The above multiple attribute merge requirements may include a first requirement that is satisfied when the number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is at most 1, a second requirement that is satisfied when the maximum number of selection items of the second attribute for each selection item of the first attribute is less than or equal to a first preset criterion, and a third requirement that is satisfied when the ratio of the number of selection items having one or fewer selection items of the second attribute among the selection items of the first attribute is greater than or equal to the second preset criterion, or the ratio of the number of selection items having multiple selection items of the second attribute among the selection items of the first attribute is less than or equal to a third preset criterion.
[0081] Below, a policy for determining attribute merging requirements according to some embodiments is described.
[0082] In a situation where the first policy is set, as illustrated in Figure 9, among the multiple attribute merge requirements, the actual applicable attribute merge requirement can be designated by the product seller (S300a-2). In this case, the type of option picker screen included in the purchase screen can be determined entirely based on the product seller's intention. In other words, through the first policy, the product seller will be able to independently make various attempts to increase the purchase conversion rate.
[0083] In a situation where a second policy is set, as illustrated in FIG. 10, among the multiple attribute merge requirements, the actually applicable attribute merge requirement can be automatically designated using the output data of the attribute merge requirement determination model (S300a-3). The attribute merge requirement determination model may be an artificial intelligence model that is machine-learned using learning data that includes situational information such as purchase conversion rates, product details, buyer information, and time zones for each option picker screen type collected while changing the type of the option picker screen. In other words, through the second policy, dynamic option picker screen type determination for increasing purchase conversion rates can be performed based on artificial intelligence technology.
[0084] In situations where a third policy is set, as illustrated in Figure 11, among the multiple attribute merge requirements, the actual applicable attribute merge requirement can be specified by the user (buyer) (S300a-4). In this case, the type of option picker screen included in the purchase screen can be determined based on the buyer's preference. In other words, through the third policy, the buyer can configure the purchase screen to include their preferred type of option picker screen.
[0085] In a situation where the fourth policy is set, as illustrated in Figure 12, among the multiple attribute merge requirements, the one actually applied can be automatically designated as corresponding to the category of the product being sold (S300a-5). In this case, by displaying an option picker screen appropriate for the category of the product being purchased, an increase in purchase conversion rate can be expected.
[0086] Next, some modified embodiments of the method for providing an option picker screen according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 13. As illustrated in FIG. 13, in addition to determining the number distribution (S150), additional contextual information related to the type of the option picker screen can be acquired (S160). Using the contextual information thus acquired and the number distribution, the type of the option picker screen can be determined (S300b).
[0087] For example, the above-mentioned situation information may be the purchase conversion rate of a product to be purchased. In this case, as illustrated in FIG. 14, even if the number distribution satisfies the attribute merge requirement, only if the purchase conversion rate of the product to be purchased falls below the fifth criterion (S300b-2), the type of the option picker screen may be determined as a list-view (S400a).
[0088] Since the type of option picker screen that intuitively shows that selection of two properties is possible in a situation where the purchase option information is composed of the first property and the second property is the tab-view type, if it is desired to apply only in limited cases to create a list-view type option picker screen even though the purchase option information is composed of the first property and the second property, the operation of Fig. 14 may be effective. That is, by investing computing resources for switching to a list-view type option picker screen only in cases where an attempt is needed to increase a low level of purchase conversion rate through the operation of Fig. 14, it will be possible to induce efficient use of computing resources.
[0089] The above situation information may be the buyer's preferred type. In this case, as illustrated in FIG. 15, even if the number distribution satisfies the attribute merge requirement, the type of the option picker screen may be determined as a list-view only if the user's (buyer's) preferred option picker screen is a list-view type (S300b-3). As described above, the buyer's preferred type of the option picker screen may be determined by synthesizing the types of the option picker screens at the time of the user's purchase. For example, if the percentage of confirmed purchases after selecting a purchase option through a list-view type option picker screen exceeds a preset threshold according to the user's purchase history, the preferred type of the user's option picker screen may be determined as a list-view type. That is, only when an attempt is needed to increase the purchase conversion rate by providing an option picker screen of a type preferred by the user through the operation of Fig. 15, the investment of computing resources for switching to a list-view type option picker screen will be made, thereby inducing efficient use of computing resources.
[0090] In some embodiments, even if the number distribution satisfies the attribute merging requirement, if the user (buyer) prefers an option picker screen of the list-view type, and at the same time, the purchase conversion rate of the product to be purchased is lower than the fifth criterion, then the type of the option picker screen may be determined to be a list-view, so that a list-view type option picker screen may be generated only when a more stringent condition is satisfied compared to the method of FIGS. 14 and 15.
[0091] The methods according to the embodiments of the present invention described so far can be performed by executing a computer program implemented as computer-readable code. The computer program can be transmitted from a first computing device to a second computing device via a network such as the Internet, installed on the second computing device, and thus used on the second computing device.
