Description

[0001] LIFE JACKET with GPS and GLASS BREAKING DEVICE MOUNTED UNDER the SEATS of the MOTOR VEHICLE

[0002] Technical Area

[0003] This invention is about a life jacket equipped with a GPS transmitter and a glass-breaking device that allows drivers and passengers to get out of the vehicle by breaking the windows of the vehicle if they fall into the sea, lake or stream as a result of an accident, to stay on the water surface if they do not know how to swim, and to detect their location.

[0004] Background

[0005] It is known to everyone that life jackets are used under each passenger's seat or in a quickly and easily accessible place to be used in dangerous situations such as landing in the sea or sinking in airplanes and sea vessels. These life jackets may be of the type that provides buoyancy by being inflated by the passenger himself in airplanes, or they may be manufactured using solid buoyant materials, as in marine vessels.

[0006] In state-of-the-art land vehicles, very advanced airbags are used, but these prevent the persons inside the vehicle from crashing, falling, etc. They have no function beyond protecting against mechanical shocks.

[0007] Technical problems to be solved

[0008] Although rare, for example, if a car flies into deep, wavy, or stagnant waters such as the sea, a lake or a river, it becomes almost impossible to open the doors of the vehicle due to the pressure exerted by the water mass on the vehicle from the outside. In such cases, the priority is to leave the vehicle as soon as possible, swim to the surface of the water, and then provide location information to the teams that will respond to the emergency to help locate the location.

[0009] It is obvious that mobile phones will not work in such a situation due to contact with water. The life jacket of the invention was developed to overcome these problems.

[0010] Brief Description of the Drawings The life jacket and its movement mechanism, designed to provide solutions to the problems mentioned above, are presented in the attached figures;

[0041] List of References

[0042] The parts in the figures are numbered and their equivalents are shown below.

[0043] 1) Life jacket

[0044] 2) GPS

[0045] 3) Hammer

[0046] 4) Lock mechanism

[0047] 5) Velcro tape

[0048] 6) Rail

[0049] Detailed Description

[0050] The subject of the invention, the Life Jacket (1) (Figures 5 and 6), along with the window breaking Hammer (3) and GPS (2) tracking device, is placed as a kit in a waterproof bag on a rail mechanism that can move forward and backward, mounted under the vehicle seats. It is stored in the vehicle.

[0051] The Lock mechanism (4) of the Rail (6) system is designed completely mechanically to ensure that it moves forward easily when needed, without being blocked in any way. The life jacket (1) kit opens when it is held with one hand from below and pulled forward, as if opening a drawer. By pushing it backwards to set it in place, it is understood that the Lock mechanism (4) is closed when a clicking sound is heard, and it is placed under the vehicle seat in a way that will not be affected by vehicle movement, will not open spontaneously due to vibration, and will not make any noise.

[0052] As seen in Figure 7, the GPS (2) tracking device on the life jacket (1) is fixed on the vest with special protection so that it will not be affected by water contact and will not come off. The front of the life jacket (1) is closed with a Velcro band (5).

[0053] Application of the invention to industry

[0054] The life jacket (1) and its mounting mechanism, which are the subject of the invention, are included in the technical drawing sheets. Dimensions are within the scope of protection of the application and different dimensions and configurations may be possible for different applications while preserving the same functional features.
