AI Technical Summary
Existing firearms lack a mechanism to limit trigger movement, leading to increased wear and the risk of unintentional firing due to uncontrolled hammer movement, especially when the bolt carrier assembly is in its rearmost position without ammunition, reducing firearm lifespan and increasing shooting errors.
A trigger restriction screw positioned above the trigger slot is activated by a release button, limiting trigger movement and hammer action until the button is pressed, providing a secondary safety mechanism to ensure controlled firing.
The solution restricts trigger and hammer movement during firing, enhancing safety and reducing wear, thereby improving firearm control and reducing the likelihood of unintentional discharges.

Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] SAFETY MECHANISM IN FIREARMS
[0003] Technical Field
[0004] The present invention relates to the safety mechanism in firearms, which enables a controlled shooting of firearms and offers additional shooting safety during shooting.
[0005] State of the Art
[0006] In the state of the art, an integrated button system is used to provide controlled discharge of firearms. During shooting, controlled shooting can be made similar to the art mentioned, but in existing techniques, the movement of the trigger is not limited. Since the trigger is free, the hammer will move with any movement of the trigger, making the firearm ready to fire. This allows the hammer to move in a shooting position even when the bolt carrier assembly is in its rearmost position. Thus, the hammer moves every time the trigger is pulled, even without the ammunition being loaded, and as a result, the parts wear out and the lifespan decreases.
[0007] In the state of the art, since the hammer is always free to operate, the probability of a shooting error, occurring in the firearm due to a shot timing error, increases.
[0008] As a result of the research on the subject, an application titled Safety mechanism in guns with folding stock was found, numbered TR2023 / 002586. The application relates to a safety mechanism (A) which can be used in all firearms with folding stock (1 ), both firearms and non-firearms, and which limits the movement of the folding stock (1 ) and the movement of the trigger (1 1 ), thereby preventing the weapon from firing involuntarily without any button, etc. The invention mentioned above is related to the safety mechanism that prevents the gun from firing unintentionally without containing a button and is different from the present invention.
[0009] As a result of the research on the subject, an application titled Safe mechanism in armaction rifles, numbered TR2022 / 016603, was found. The application relates to a safety mechanism (4) positioned on the frame (1 ) which stops / limits the movement of the trigger (5) in order to prevent unintentional firing in arm-action rifles (A), which are cocked by the circular movement of the cocking arm (3) positioned at the bottom of the trigger (5) by approaching and moving away from the rifle. The abovementioned invention relates to the safety mechanism in arm-action rifles and is different from the present invention.
[0010] As a result, due to the abovementioned disadvantages and the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter, a development is required to be made in the relevant technical field.
[0011] Object of the Invention
[0012] The present invention aims to solve the abovementioned disadvantages by being inspired from the current conditions.
[0013] The main object of the invention is to position the trigger restriction screw which is attached to the trigger restriction slide part, is positioned above the slot on the trigger and limit the movement of the trigger as long as the button is pressed. In this way, it provides a second safety system for the firearm and enables the firearm to fire in a more controlled manner.
[0014] The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0046] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0047] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the safety mechanism in firearms are described by means of examples only for clarifying the subject matter.
[0048] The invention comprises a housing sleeve (10) and a housing sleeve pin (70), which is mounted to the trigger guard (80). When the action bar catch protrusion (31 ) on the action bar catch (30) part enters the action bar slot (111 ) on the action bar (1 10) carrying the bolt carrier (120), which moves backwards due to the gas pressure during the shot, the action bar (1 10) is fixed at the rear.
[0049] When the release button (60), which is positioned on the receiver (130) and part of which is visible from outside the body (130), is pressed, the trigger restriction slide part (20) on which it contacts moves backwards. As a result of this movement, the trigger restriction screw (40) connected to the trigger restriction slide part (20) is positioned above the trigger slot (91 ) on the trigger (90). During this movement, the action bar catch protrusion (31 ) positioned on the action bar slot (11 1 ) on the action bar (1 10) leaves the action bar slot (11 1 ) and the action bar (1 10) moves in the forward direction by getting rid of its fixed position. Thus, the bolt carrier (120) ensures that the ammunition is chambered.
[0050] As long as the release button (60) is pressed, the trigger restriction screw (40) will be positioned on the trigger slot (91 ) on the trigger (90), the movement of the trigger (90) is restricted, and since the trigger (90), which limits the hammer (100) in the rear position, cannot move, the hammer (100) also does not move, and this situation provides a second safety for the firearm during firing.
[0051] When the release button (60) is released, the action bar catch (30) is positioned in its original position by the elasticity of the action bar catch spring (50) between the housing sleeve (10) and the action bar catch (30). During this situation, action bar catch (30), the trigger restriction slide part (20) moves in the same direction and is fixed in its previous position.
[0052] After the shot, the action bar (110), which moves backwards under the effect of gas pressure, comes into contact with the action bar catch protrusion (31 ) on the action bar catch (30) and as a result of this contact, the action bar catch (30) makes a sudden reciprocating movement due to the flexibility of the action bar catch spring (50). The action bar catch protrusion (31 ) on the action bar catch (30) is positioned in the action bar slot (11 1 ) on the action bar (1 10) and secures the action bar (1 10) in its rear-most position until the release button (60) is pressed again. The mentioned situation occurs throughout the shooting. The abovementioned technique ensures that the shot can be made in a controlled manner.
[0053] As long as the release button (60) is pressed, the trigger restriction screw (40) is positioned above the trigger slot (91 ) on the trigger (90) and prevents the trigger (90) from moving. Limiting the trigger (90) also limits the hammer (100) in front of the trigger (90). This creates a different safety system for the firearm during firing.
