Description

MASK FOR CARING FOR KERATIN MATERIALSTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a mask for caring for keratin materials and a non-therapeutic process for caring for keratin materials with said mask.BACKGROUND ART

[0002] Skin is the protective barrier for the human body. It protects the interior of the body form physical injury (such as trauma) and biological injury (such as bacterial, viruses or fungi) .

[0003] The development of formulations dedicated to caring for the skin is permanent.

[0004] Hydrogel is a kind of solid-gel comprising different types of polymers, which is able to hold big amount of water. The technology is wildly used as a kind of medical dressing to provide the soothing or wound healing effect. In cosmetic field, hydrogel can be used as a kind of substrate in the form of sheet mask.

[0005] The hydrogel mask releases cosmetic ingredients at room temperature and delivers them to the skin.

[0006] However, some hydrogel masks are not stable at a high temperature such as 45℃, which manifests the exudate released from the compositions in the hydrogel masks is either too high or too low, so that their shelf life is adversely impacted.

[0007] Therefore, there is a need to develop a mask which is stable at a high temperature such as 45℃.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] It is an object of the present invention to develop a mask which is stable at a high temperature such as 45℃.

[0009] Thus, according to a first aspect, the present invention provides a mask, preferably for caring for keratin materials, comprising:

[0010] A) a mask tissue comprising at least one water-insoluble multivalent metal salt, which is loaded with at least one glycosaminoglycan, and

[0011] B) a composition on the mask tissue, comprising:

[0012] a) at least one non-ionic polysaccharide selected from homopolymers of mannose, copolymers of mannose and glucose, copolymers of mannose and galactose, and a combination thereof; and

[0013] b) at least one water-soluble alkali metal salt.

[0014] According to a second aspect, the present invention also provides a non-therapeutic process for caring for keratin materials, comprising applying the mask according to the present invention on the keratin materials.

[0015] The inventors found that the mask of the present invention is stable for at least 2 months at a high temperature such as 45℃.

[0016] The viscosity of the exudate from the composition in the mask of the present invention is key parameter for measuring the stability of the mask at high temperature.

[0017] As used herein, “stable” means that the exudate from the composition in the mask of the present invention has a viscosity from 50 mPa·s to 350 mPa·s after the mask has been stored for 2 months at 45℃.

[0018] Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will be set forth in the description that follows, and in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the present invention.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
