Abstract
Description
Slide fasteners with fasteners and products with slide fasteners
[0001] The present invention relates to a slide fastener having a fastener disposed at the end of an element row, and to a product with a slide fastener.
[0002] Slide fasteners are generally used as opening and closing devices for products such as clothing, daily necessities, industrial materials, and various types of seats for automobiles, trains, aircraft, etc. Slide fasteners used in such various products generally have a pair of left and right fastener stringers on which element rows are formed on the tape side edges of the fastener tape, and a slider that slides along the left and right element rows.
[0003] On the other hand, there is also known a slide fastener that is integrally formed with the fastener-receiving member without using fastener tape by sewing an element member, in which multiple elements are attached to a string-like fixing member, directly to the fastener-receiving member. In such a slide fastener that does not use fastener tape, it is necessary to pass the slider through after sewing the left and right element rows to the fastener-receiving member, and it is also necessary to attach the stoppers arranged at the ends of the element rows after passing the slider through.
[0004] Patent Document 1 describes a slide fastener formed without using fastener tape, and a resin stopper disposed at the end of the element row of the slide fastener. This stopper has a housing main body portion capable of housing the longitudinal end of the element row, and a base main body portion extending outward from the housing main body portion in a thin plate shape. The housing main body portion is provided with at least one insertion hole that communicates the interior space with the space on the underside of the base main body. As a result, the end of the element row is inserted into the internal space of the housing main body, and a string-like fixing member is brought into contact with the underside of the base main body portion through the insertion hole, and the base main body portion of the stopper and the fixing member are fixed to the fastener-receiving member by sewing or the like.
[0005] Also, a known fastening part for a slide fastener having a fastener tape is one that consists of a rivet member and a back plate, and the rivet member has a protruding pin that penetrates and engages with a through hole in the back plate and is permanently deformed (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
[0006] International Publication No. 2020 / 213134 Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-68110
[0007] However, with the fastener described in Patent Document 1, the base body and fixing member of the fastener must be sewn to the fastener receiving member, and before that, the end of the element row must be inserted into the internal space of the housing body and the string-like fixing member must be brought into contact with the underside of the base body through the insertion hole. For this reason, there has been a demand for an improved fastener that is easy to work with for slide fasteners that do not use fastener tape.
[0008] Furthermore, in slide fasteners that do not use fastener tape, the fixing members extending from the ends of the element rows are not sewn to the fastener attachment members, and therefore, a slide fastener stopper having a fastener tape, as described in Patent Document 2, cannot be used as is.
[0009] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide a slide fastener with a fastener that can easily attach a fastener in a slide fastener that does not use a fastener tape, and a product with a slide fastener.

(2) The slide fastener with a stopper according to (1), wherein the front member has a front plate-like portion facing the front surface of the end element, a front flange portion extending in the front-back direction from the front plate-like portion toward the back member and facing the rear end surface of the end element, and a front protrusion portion extending in the front-back direction from the front plate-like portion toward the back member and facing the side surface of the end element, and the back member has a back plate-like portion facing the rear surface of the end element, a back flange portion extending in the front-back direction from the back plate-like portion toward the front member and facing the rear end surface of the end element, and a back protrusion extending in the front-back direction from the back plate-like portion toward the front member and facing the side surface of the end element. (3) The slide fastener with a stopper according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the tip portion of the stud can be crimped so as to fix the front member and the back member to each other. (4) The slide fastener with stopper according to (3), wherein the stud is fitted into the insertion hole formed in the end element or the insertion hole formed by the adjacent end element.(5) The slide fastener with a stopper according to (3) or (4), wherein the stud is fitted into the hole portion. (6) The slide fastener with a stopper according to any one of (1) to (5), wherein the end element of one of the pair of left and right element members has a first head in which the insertion hole is formed and a first body extending from the first head toward the rear of the end element and fixed to the fixing member, and the end element of the other of the pair of left and right element members has a second head provided with a notch so as not to interfere with the first head, and a second body extending from the second head toward the rear of the end element and fixed to the fixing member. FIG. 9(a) is a front view showing a slide fastener element member from which the fastener has been removed, according to a modified example of this embodiment, and FIG. 9(b) is a back view of (a).
[0013] A slide fastener with a stopper and a product with a slide fastener according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In this specification, the "vertical direction" refers to the sliding direction of the slider, the longitudinal direction of the element row, and the width direction of the element. In particular, the direction in which the slider slides to interlock a pair of left and right element rows is referred to as "upward," and the direction in which the slider slides to separate the left and right element rows is referred to as "downward." The "lateral direction" refers to the direction in which the pair of element rows are arranged, a direction perpendicular to the sliding direction of the slider, and can also be referred to as the front-to-back direction of the element. The direction toward the mating element is referred to as "forward," and the opposite side is referred to as "rearward." Furthermore, the "front-to-back direction" refers to a direction perpendicular to the vertical and horizontal directions, and can also be referred to as the height direction of the element. A pair of members may also be referred to as "left and right" members based on the drawings.
[0014] The slide fastener product 1 according to this embodiment is a garment (clothing) with a slide fastener, and a slide fastener with a stopper (hereinafter simply referred to as a "slide fastener") 5 as shown in Fig. 1 is formed in the placket portion of the front body of this slide fastener product 1. Also, left and right element attachment edges 7 for attaching left and right element members 10 (described later), respectively, are provided on left and right fabrics 6 forming the front body (particularly the placket portion) which serves as the opening and closing portion of this slide fastener product 1.
[0015] In this case, the fabric 6 (also called garment fabric) constituting the placket portion of the slide fastener product 1 becomes the fastener receiving member to which the element members 10 are attached. Therefore, as shown in Fig. 1, the slide fastener 5 formed in this embodiment has a pair of left and right element members 10 fixed directly to the fabric 6 and forming an element row 11, a slider 30 capable of engaging and separating the left and right element rows 11, and a stopper 70 attached to the lower end of the element row 11.
[0016] In this embodiment, the thickness, shape, flexibility, and other properties of the fabric 6 that serves as the fastener attachment member are not particularly limited, but it is preferable that the fabric 6 be formed so that it can be pierced by a sewing needle when sewing with a sewing machine.
[0017] In this embodiment, the element mounting edge portion 7 provided on the fabric 6 has a predetermined dimension in the width direction of the element member 10 from the opposing side edges of the fabric 6 constituting the left and right front portions toward the inside of the fabric 6 in the finished product 1 with a slide fastener, and is formed continuously along the length direction of the element member 10.
[0018] Each of the left and right element mounting edges 7 is formed by folding back in a U-shape the side edges that form the cut ends of the fabric 6 to the rear surface side. This makes the element mounting edges 7 locally thicker than other parts of the thin fabric 6, thereby increasing the strength of the element mounting edges 7.
[0019] Furthermore, even if the sewing thread 21 penetrates the element mounting edge 7 as described below, the element mounting edge 7 is less likely to be cut by the sewing thread 21, thereby increasing the durability of the element mounting edge 7. Furthermore, by increasing the strength of the element mounting edge 7, the element member 10 can be firmly fixed to the element mounting edge 7, and the position and posture of each fastener element (hereinafter also referred to as element) 40 fixed to the element mounting edge 7 can be stabilized.
[0020] 1, only the slider body 31 of the slider 30 is shown, and the pull tab held by the slider body 31 is not shown. The slider 30 has substantially the same structure as conventional sliders, and smoothly engages and separates the left and right element members 10 directly fixed to the element attachment edge 7 of the garment 1.
[0021] The element member 10 in this embodiment comprises a string-like fixing member 15 and a plurality of independent elements 40 attached to the fixing member 15. The fixing member 15 is in the form of a single string. The plurality of independent elements 40 are attached to the fixing member 15 at regular intervals in the width direction of the element 40 to form an element row 11. A pair (two) of element members 10 are treated as one set. The left and right element members 10 in Fig. 1 are sewn along the ends of the left and right element attachment edges 7 provided on the product 1 with a slide fastener, respectively.
[0022] The fixing member 15 is a flexible string (also called a knit cord) formed by wrapping a core yarn made of multiple parallel multifilaments in a hollow woven section made of multiple knitting yarns. The fixing member 15 used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it can attach multiple elements 40, and may be formed of, for example, monofilament or twisted yarn (twisted cord). The fixing member 15 is a member whose cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is approximately circular, and as shown in FIG. 2 , it has a flattened cross-sectional shape due to deformation within the element 40. However, the cross-sectional shape of the fixing member is not particularly limited in the present invention.
[0023] Each element 40 of the element member 10 is formed integrally with the fixed member 15 and covers the entire outer circumferential surface of a portion of the fixed member 15 by injection molding a thermoplastic resin such as polyacetal onto the fixed member 15. Note that in the present invention, the material of the elements 40 is not limited to the above-mentioned synthetic resin, and the elements can also be formed from, for example, other synthetic resins or metals. Furthermore, the element member of the present invention is not limited to elements formed on the fixed member by injection molding, and also includes elements formed by, for example, fastening an element formed in a predetermined shape to the fixed member by welding or adhesive.
[0024] 2 to 4, the multiple elements 40 of this embodiment have a coupling element 40A that couples the elements 40 of a pair of left and right element members 10, and a housing element 40B at least a portion of which is housed inside the stopper 70. The coupling element 40A has a coupling portion 42 that couples with the element 40 of the mating element member 10, and a body portion 41 that extends from the coupling portion 42 in the front-to-rear direction of the element 40 (a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the fixing member 15 in a plan view) and is fixed to the fixing member 15.
[0025] The coupling element 40A has an element front half 43 and an element rear half 44 that are distinguished based on an approximate midpoint in the height direction of the coupling element 40A (in this embodiment, the center position of the fixing member 15 in the height direction of the coupling element 40A). The element front half 43 and the element rear half 44 have mutually different shapes. In this case, the surface of the element front half 43 and the rear surface of the element rear half 44 are disposed perpendicular to the height direction of the coupling element 40A and parallel to each other.
[0026] The element front half 43 has a front engaging head 43b that engages with the mating engaging element, and a front body 43a that extends from the front engaging head 43b toward the rear of the element member 10 and sandwiches the fixing member 15 between it and the element back half 44.
[0027] The front body portion 43a is formed in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the front interlocking head portion 43b has a substantially triangular shape with the element width gradually decreasing toward the tip of the front interlocking head portion 43b.
[0028] The element rear half 44 has a rear interlocking head 44c that interlocks with the mating element, a rear neck 44b that extends from the rear interlocking head 44c toward the rear of the element and has a narrowed shape, and a rear body 44a that extends further toward the rear of the element from the rear neck 44b. In this embodiment, the rear neck 44b and the rear body 44a sandwich the fixing member 15 between themselves and the element front half 43. The front body 43a, the rear neck 44b, and the rear body 44a are located on the front and rear sides, respectively, of the fixing member 15 in the height direction of the element 40.
[0029] In the element front half portion 43, the element side surface of the front interlocking head portion 43b is brought into contact with the element side surface of the front interlocking head portion 43b of the mating interlocking element 40A, and in the element back half portion 44, the back neck portion 44b and the back interlocking head portion 44c engage with the element back half portion 44 of the mating interlocking element 40, thereby interlocking the left and right element rows 11. Therefore, the front interlocking head portion 43b, the back neck portion 44b, and the back interlocking head portion 44c constitute the interlocking portion 42.
[0030] Furthermore, on the side surface of the body 41 arranged opposite the fabric 6, i.e., on the side surface of the body 41 on the anti-meshing side (rear of the element 40) opposite the meshing portion 42 with respect to the fixing member 15, a recess 45 recessed toward the fixing member 15 is provided along the width direction of the element 40.
[0031] Also, a connecting portion 46 is provided within the recess 45 at the widthwise center of the element 40, connecting the front body portion 43a and the back body portion 44a and coming into contact with the fixing member 15 on the anti-mesh side. Therefore, as shown in Fig. 3, at the widthwise center of the element 40, the body portion 41 of the element 40 covers the entire outer peripheral surface of the fixing member 15 held at the heightwise center of the element 40.
[0032] On the other hand, at the widthwise center of the element 40, the opposing side edges of the element mounting edge portion 7 abut against the connecting portion 46, and the tip portion is bulged in the height direction of the element 40 and is accommodated within the recess 45.
[0033] In addition, the element member 10 on one side of the housing element 40B has a different shape from the element member 10 on the other side of the housing element 40B.
[0034] That is, the two accommodating elements 40B1 on one side of a pair of left and right element members have a first head 52 in which an insertion hole 51 is formed, and a first body 53 extending in the left-right direction from the first head 52 and fixed to the fixing member 15, and are formed symmetrically on the front and back with respect to approximately the middle position in the height direction of the accommodating element 40B.
[0035] On the other hand, of the three accommodating elements 40B2, 40B3, and 40B4 on the other side of the pair of left and right element members, the accommodating element 40B3, which is arranged between the two accommodating elements 40B1 on one side, has a second head 62 with notches 61 on both sides in the width direction of the accommodating element 40B so as not to interfere with the first head 52, and a second body 63 which extends from the second head 62 toward the rear of the accommodating element 40B and is fixed to the fixing member 15, and is formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to approximately the midpoint in the height direction of the accommodating element 40B.
[0036] Furthermore, of the three accommodating elements 40B2, 40B3, 40B4 on the other side of the pair of left and right element members 10, the two accommodating elements 40B2, 40B4 arranged outside the two accommodating elements 40B1 on one side become interlocking portions 42 (front interlocking head 43b, back interlocking head 44c) with a notch 61 on one side in the width direction of the accommodating element 40B so as not to interfere with the first head 52 of the accommodating element 40B1 on one side relative to the interlocking element 40A.
[0037] The fastener 70 includes a front member 71 and a rear member 81 that sandwich the receiving element 40B. The front member 71 includes a front plate portion 72 that faces the front surface of the receiving element 40B, two studs 73 aligned vertically and protruding vertically from the front plate portion 72 toward the rear member 81 at the left-right intermediate portion of the front plate portion 72, a front flange portion 74 that extends from the front plate portion 72 toward the rear member 81 in the front-rear direction and faces the rear end surface of the receiving element 40B, and a front protrusion 75 that extends from the front plate portion 72 toward the rear member 81 in the front-rear direction and faces the side surface of the receiving element 40B. The rear end surface of the receiving element 40B and the front flange portion 74 may abut. The side surface of the receiving element 40B and the front protrusion 75 may also abut.
[0038] As will be described later, the outer diameter of the stud 73 is configured to fit into the insertion hole 51 of the housing element 40B1 to prevent buckling when the tip of the stud 73 is crimped. That is, the inner diameter of the insertion hole 51 is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the stud 73. The front flange portions 74 are formed along the up-down direction at both left-right ends of the front plate-like portion 72, and the front protrusion portions 75 extend continuously from the front flange portions 74 in the left-right direction.
[0039] The rear member 81 also has a rear plate portion 82 facing the rear surface of the receiving element 40B, two holes 83 aligned vertically in the left-right middle of the front plate portion 72, into which two studs 73 are inserted, a rear flange portion 84 extending from the rear plate portion 82 toward the front member 71 in the front-back direction and facing the rear end surface of the receiving element 40B, and a rear protrusion 85 extending from the rear plate portion 82 toward the front member 71 in the front-back direction and facing the side surface of the receiving element 40B. The rear end surface of the receiving element 40B may abut the rear flange portion 84. The side surface of the receiving element 40B may also abut the rear protrusion 85. The rear flange portion 84 is formed along the vertical direction at both left-right ends of the rear plate portion 82, and the rear protrusion 85 extends continuously from the rear flange portion 84 in the left-right direction.
[0040] Furthermore, flange protrusions 76 extending in the front-to-back direction toward the rear-side member 81 are provided at positions corresponding to the left and right front flange portions 74 of the front-side member 71, the rear end surfaces of the two receiving elements 40B1, and the rear end surface of the receiving element 40B3. Similarly, flange protrusions 86 extending in the front-to-back direction toward the front-to-back member 71 are provided at positions corresponding to the rear end surfaces of the receiving elements 40B1 and the rear end surfaces of the receiving elements 40B3 on the left and right rear flange portions 84 of the rear-side member 81. Furthermore, the flange protrusions 76, 86 are provided to improve the strength of the front flange portions 74 and the rear flange portions 86, and the flange protrusions 76, 86 may abut against each other or may be slightly spaced apart.
[0041] Additionally, two recesses 87 recessed from the surrounding surface are formed around the two holes 83 on the back surface of the back plate portion 82 of the back member 81. Furthermore, it is preferable that the inner diameter of the holes 83 of the back member 81 is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the studs 73 so that the studs 73 fit into the holes 83, thereby preventing buckling during crimping.
[0042] The front member 71 and the back member 81 of the fastener 70 are also formed by injection molding a thermoplastic resin such as polyacetal. Note that in the present invention, the material of the fastener 70 is not limited to the above-mentioned synthetic resin, and the fastener can also be formed from, for example, other synthetic resins or metals.
[0043] Therefore, when forming the slide fastener 5 with stopper, the element members 10 are first arranged adjacent to the outer side of the element mounting edge 7 of the fabric 6 in the width direction, and are fixed by sewing with a zigzag sewing machine using the sewing thread 21. In this case, the sewing thread 21 is formed by bending in a zigzag shape in the length direction by lock stitching. As a result, the element members 10 are fixed to the element mounting edge 7 of the fabric 6 with the body 41 of each element 40 in contact with the element mounting edge 7.
[0044] Here, a zigzag stitch sewing machine is a sewing machine that can sew a zigzag lock stitch on fabric 6 or the like by oscillating the sewing needle in a direction intersecting the feed direction of the sewing machine. The oscillation of the sewing needle in a zigzag stitch sewing machine is sometimes called a zigzag swing. By using such a zigzag stitch sewing machine and setting coordinate data for the X coordinate (position in the feed direction) and Y coordinate (position in the intersecting direction) that represent the needle drop position of the sewing needle in the zigzag stitch sewing machine and performing sewing, the sewing thread 21 formed after sewing can be easily bent so as to form a zigzag shape in the intersecting direction relative to the feed direction of the zigzag stitch sewing machine.
[0045] The sewing thread 21 formed by the lock stitching has an upper thread (needle thread) that runs on the surface of the element mounting edge 7 and contacts the half of the surface side of the fixing member 15, and a lower thread (bobbin thread) that runs on the back side of the element mounting edge 7 and contacts the half of the back side of the fixing member 15. In this case, the upper thread and the lower thread are arranged in a positional relationship that is plane-symmetrical to each other in the up-down direction, except for the part where they intersect.
[0046] The upper and lower threads of the lock stitching are made of conventional sewing machine threads, and the upper and lower threads intersect (intersect) with each other at the position where the fixing sewn portion 20 pierces the element mounting edge portion 7 and at the position where the fixing sewn portion 20 contacts the outer peripheral surface of the fixing member 15.
[0047] Thereafter, the front member 71 and the back member 81 constituting the stopper 70 are attached to the housing elements 40B of the pair of left and right element members 10. First, as shown in Fig. 6(b), the housing elements 40B are placed on the surface of the front plate portion 72 defined by the front flange portion 74 and the front protrusion portion 75 of the front member 71. In this state, the two studs 73 are inserted into the respective insertion holes 51 formed in the two housing elements 40B1.
[0048] Then, by placing the back side member 81 over the front side member 71 on which the storage element 40B is arranged so that the stud 73 is inserted into the hole portion 83, the storage element 40B is arranged on the surface of the back side plate portion 82 defined by the back side flange portion 84 and the back side protrusion portion 85 of the back side member 81, as shown in (b) of Figure 7.
[0049] Then, using a punch 90 and a die 95 as shown in Fig. 8, the tip portions of the studs 73 of the front side member 71 are crimped. Note that Fig. 8 shows one punch 90 and one die 95, but in this embodiment, there are two studs 73, so there are two punches 90 and two dies 95. Note that in this embodiment, crimping is performed without applying heat.
[0050] Here, the punch 90 has a first recess 91 in the center of the annular protrusion 93 that accommodates the tip of the stud 73 during crimping, and a second recess 92 that accommodates the resin after crimping around the annular protrusion 93. The bottom surface of the first recess 91 is flat.
[0051] Therefore, the tip of the stud 73 is crimped to form a crimped flange 77 having an outer diameter larger than that of the stud 73, and this crimped flange 77 fits into and engages with a recess 87 in the back member 81. This fixes the front member 71 and the back member 81 to each other.
[0052] As described above, in the slide fastener product 1 of this embodiment, the multiple elements 40 of the pair of left and right element members 10 have coupling elements 40A that couple the elements 40 of the pair of left and right element members 10 together, and housing elements 40B at least a portion of which is housed inside the stopper 70, and the stopper 70 has a front member 71 and a back member 81 that sandwich the housing elements 40B. The front member 71 is equipped with studs 73, while the back member 81 has holes 83 into which the studs 73 are inserted. The front member 71 and the back member 81 are fixed to each other by the studs 73 that pass through the holes 83 and the insertion holes 51 formed in the housing elements 40B. This allows the stopper 70 to be easily attached to a slide fastener that does not have a fastener tape, making it possible to provide a slide fastener with a stopper 5 and a slide fastener product 1 that are easy to work with.
[0053] As a modification of the above embodiment, the receiving element 40B may be configured as shown in Fig. 9. Specifically, the receiving element 40B includes a receiving element 40B5 having a partial cylindrical surface 47 for forming an insertion hole 51A formed in the front-to-back direction across the meshing portion 42, i.e., the front-side meshing head portion 43b and the back-side meshing head portion 44c, in relation to the shape of the coupling element 40A. Therefore, the insertion hole 51A through which the stud 73 can be inserted is formed by the partial cylindrical surfaces 47, 47 of adjacent receiving elements 40B, 40B. The lowermost receiving element 40B is a receiving element 40B6 having the same shape as the coupling element 40A.
[0054] In this case as well, the front member 71 and the rear member 81 constituting the stopper 70 are attached to the housing elements 40B of the pair of left and right element members 10, so that the two studs 73 of the front member 71 are inserted into the insertion holes 51A formed between adjacent housing elements 40B5, and are further inserted into the holes 83 of the rear member 81. Then, as in the above embodiment, the tip ends of the studs 73 are crimped to form crimp flanges 77, thereby fixing the front member 71 and the rear member 81 to each other, and the stopper 70 is formed.
