Description

[0001] Locking System for a Pane of a Cover Assembly, in Particular for a Fuse Switch Disconnector

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The subject of the invention is a locking system for a pane of a cover assembly, in particular for a fuse switch disconnector.

[0004] Prior Art

[0005] From German patent document DE10109091 , a cover for a compact fuse switch disconnector is known with tiltable pane, which contains a locking element used to lock the pane of the disconnector, thereby preventing it from being opened. The applied pane, mounted in the cover of the disconnector, in tiltable way allows access to the fuse link for measurement purposes. The locking element is inserted from the inside of the disconnector cover in such a manner that, in the closed position of the pane, it is positioned between the protruding portion of the pane and a specially shaped socket in the cover, thereby blocking the movement of the pane.

[0006] Polish patent description PL218737 discloses a solution involving a cover for a compact fuse switch disconnector with a slidable pane, wherein the locking of the pane is achieved by resting a rib, located on a masking slider, against a locking pin. This locking pin is slidably moved within channels formed in the disconnector cover in order to lock the pane in place.

[0007] The known solutions in the prior art, in which the cover assembly of a fuse switch disconnector contains a slidable pane, do not simultaneously eliminate two problems: blocking the movement of the pane and securing it against removal from the cover assembly.

[0008] Aim of the Invention

[0009] The aim of the invention is to provide a locking system for a slidable pane of a cover assembly, in particular for a fuse switch disconnector, which simultaneously offers two functionalities, i.e. blocking the pane from sliding, thereby the measurement openings are not exposed, and at the same time securing the pane against removal.

[0010] Essence of the Invention

[0011] The essence of the locking system for a pane of a cover assembly, in particular for a fuse switch disconnector, containing a cover with at least one slidable pane, is that the cover includes at least one socket in which at least one locking element is detachably placed. The pane, in turn, contains at least one hook element that is detachably connected to at least one socket of the cover. In this solution, the hook element is locked within the socket of the cover assembly by the locking element in two directions. First, one of the walls of the locking element prevents the hook element from sliding within the socket. Since the hook element forms part of the pane, the entire pane is stabilized within the cover and cannot slide, thereby preventing exposure of the measurement openings. Simultaneously, the locking element and the hook element prevent the pane from being removed from the cover, because on one side the hook element is mounted e.g. via a mounting surface onto a rib of the socket, and at the same time, the shaft of the hook element is immobilized within the socket between the wall or walls of the locking element and the rib or ribs of the socket. As a result, inserting the locking element into the socket immobilizes the hook element of the pane such that the pane cannot be slid within the cover nor removed from it without destruction.

[0012] It is advantageous if the socket contains four ribs: a first rib, a second rib, a third rib forming a first connection between the first rib and the second rib, and a fourth rib forming a second connection between the first rib and the second rib.

[0013] It is advantageous if the locking element contains a first wall located opposite the first rib of the socket and a second wall located between the first rib of the socket and second rib of the socket. In this solution, the locking element optimally blocks the hook element within the socket, as the second wall prevents sliding of the hook element in the socket, while the first wall blocks the shaft from shifting and, together with hooking the hook element on the rib of the socket, prevents the pane from being removed.

[0014] It is advantageous if the hook element of the pane contains a shaft and a mounting surface and is detachably connected to the socket of the cover in such a manner that the mounting surface of the hook element overlaps the second rib of the socket, and the shaft of the hook element is located between the first wall of the locking element, the second wall of the locking element, the fourth rib of the socket, and the second rib of the socket. This solution is optimal because the hook element contains a mounting surface that anchors it to the rib of the socket, and it is simultaneously fully blocked (by the walls of the locking element and the socket ribs) against both movement and removal of the pane to which it belongs.

[0015] It is advantageous if the first rib of the socket is parallel to the second rib of the socket.

[0016] It is advantageous if the relative position of the first wall and the second wall of the locking element forms a T-shape.

[0017] It is advantageous if the first wall of the locking element has a length corresponding to the distance between the third rib of the socket and the fourth rib of the socket.

[0018] Advantages of the Invention

[0019] An advantage of the locking system for a pane of a cover assembly, in particular for a fuse switch disconnector, according to the present invention is that - with relatively simple installation of the locking element - the pane of the cover assembly can neither be slid to reveal the measurement openings nor removed from the cover assembly without physically damaging the pane.

[0020] Description of the Drawing

[0021] The subject of the invention, in an exemplary embodiment, is illustrated in the drawing, in which:

[0022] Fig. 1 shows an internal view of the cover assembly;

[0023] Fig. 2 shows an enlarged view of a portion of the cover assembly from the inside;

[0024] Fig. 3 shows a top view of the locking element;

[0025] Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of the pane;

[0026] Fig. 5 shows an enlarged perspective view of a portion of the pane with the hook element. Embodiment Examples

[0027] Example I

[0028] The cover assembly of the fuse switch disconnector comprises a cover 1 with one slidable pane 2. The cover includes two sockets 3. Each socket 3 has four ribs: a first rib 4, a second rib 5 located opposite the first rib 4, a third rib 6 connecting the first rib 4 and the second rib 5, and a fourth rib 7 connecting the first rib 4 and the second rib 5. The pane 2 includes two hook elements 11 , arranged to correspond with the two sockets 3 of the cover 1 , such that each hook element 11 enters into its respective socket 3. The hook elements 11 are provided with mounting surfaces 12 that overlap the second ribs 5 of the sockets 3. An identical locking element 8 is inserted into each socket 3. Each locking element 8 includes two walls: a first wall 9 and a second wall 10, arranged relative to each other in a T-shape. Each locking element 8 is inserted into its respective socket 3 in such a way that the first wall 9 is positioned opposite the first rib 4 of the socket 3, and the second wall 10 is positioned between the first rib 4 of the socket 3 and the second rib 5 of the socket 3. Once inserted into the socket 3, the locking element 8 blocks the hook element 11 in the socket 3 such that contact between the second wall 10 of the locking element 8 and the shaft 13 of the hook element 11 prevents the hook element 11 from sliding in the socket 3, thus preventing the pane 2 from sliding within the cover 1. Simultaneously, the locking element 8, by means of the first wall 9, blocks the shaft 13 of the hook element 11 between itself and the second rib 5. In addition, the shaft 13 of the hook element 11 is blocked against movement by the second wall 10 of the locking element 8 and the fourth rib 7 of the socket 3. With this construction and due to the presence of the mounting surface 12, the hook elements 11 are restrained from moving outward, and as a result, the pane 2 cannot be removed from the cover 1 without damage to the pane 2.

[0029] Example II

[0030] A cover assembly of a fuse switch disconnector and a locking element 8 were manufactured with an analogous construction to that in Example I, except that the first wall 9 of the locking element 8 has a length corresponding to the distance between the third rib 6 of the socket 3 and the fourth rib 7 of the socket 3.

[0031] Example III

[0032] A cover assembly of a fuse switch disconnector and a locking element 8 were manufactured with an analogous construction to that in Example I, except that the first rib 4 of the socket 3 is parallel to the second rib 5 of the socket 3.

[0033] The described embodiments of the invention are provided for illustrative purposes only and do not in any way limit the scope of the claimed invention.
