Abstract
The present disclosure provides a PCIe add-in card, a signal transmission method and system and a microcontroller unit (MCU). PCIe add-in cards (each comprising a MCU and a connector) are respectively inserted into a root complex and an endpoint; a first MCU of a first PCIe add-in card inserted into the root complex is connected to a first optical module; a second MCU of a second PCIe add-in card inserted into the endpoint is connected to a second optical module; upon receiving a level control signal of the root complex, the first MCU controls the first optical module to send a specific LOS alarm signal to the second optical module; when it is detected that the second optical module has a specific LOS alarm signal, the second MCU outputs a corresponding level control signal to the endpoint, and transmits the specific LOS alarm signal by means of the optical modules of the root complex and the endpoint, so as to realize the transmission of a level control signal such as a reset signal and an in-position signal, without adding an additional optical channel, thereby reducing the transmission cost and solving the problem of limited transmission distance in transmission using electrical signals.
