Abstract

According to the present disclosure, a method by which an electronic device provides information is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring customer information; determining, on the basis of the customer information, a discount benefit to be applied when the customer purchases a specific item; acquiring a page including information that indicates the discount benefit; and providing the page to the customer.

Description

Device and method for providing information guiding discount benefits

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a device and method for providing information. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to an electronic device and method for determining a discount benefit applicable to a customer's purchase of a specific item based on customer information, obtaining a page containing information notifying the customer of the discount benefit, and providing the page to the customer.

[0002] With the advancement of electronic technology, e-commerce has become a distinct form of shopping. Customers can purchase items online without having to visit a physical shopping mall or market, and items purchased online are delivered to the customer's requested delivery address.

[0003] As e-commerce service delivery methods become more sophisticated, various information becomes involved in the sale of items, and as more information is provided to customers, problems arise where customers are not provided with the optimal benefits they deserve, or are unaware of the optimal benefits they can enjoy.
