Description

[0001] MOBILE MILITARY STRUCTURE

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a mobile military structure for performing defense tasks against counter threats in military areas and civilian facilities.

[0004] In particular, the invention relates to a mobile military structure designed to be used in defense, surveillance and area defense missions with fire support, which offers fast access to military areas and areas to be protected, which is capable of self-loading and self-unloading from transport vehicles and similar platforms, which has all its needs on its own, which is fast to install, and which is designed to be used in defense, surveillance and area defense missions with fire support.

[0005] Know State of the Art

[0006] In areas that need of protection or defense, such as military areas or civilian facilities, or in active military areas, mobile military structures are used for support purposes to eliminate of threats. The feature of these structures which basically consist of a body and a watchtower, are characterized by the fact that they can be transported to the area with a transportation vehicle when needed and can be quickly installed in the area where they will be used. In the mentioned mobile structures, a living space has been created at the top tower for military personnel and they are accommodated here. The fact that the living space for the personnel is created in the tower causes them to be exposed to counter threats much more easily. The destruction of the firing and control systems in the tower is the primary goal when considered from the opposing front. Therefore, the risk of losing the lives to the personnel inside is very high.

[0007] The Mobile military structures in use today are also generally organized to operate in safe areas. The most obvious examples of this are the places where the legs that stabilize the structure are designed as hatches. Since these legs cannot be closed completely when outside, they pose a security risk at these points. Life support equipment such as generators, hydraulic units and similar life support equipment in the aforementioned area are open to external threats, and a counter threat that attempts to infiltrate can disrupt this structure, leaving personnel in a difficult situation and causing defense systems such as weapons and cameras to become unusable. Considering these threats, it is not possible to use the structure outside of a protected military area. In addition, the lower body is organized only for transportation purposes and is not protected as bulletproof in military-grade. Therefore, attacks on the body part cause the structure to become unusable in a short time. The tower located at the top of the mentioned mobile military structures can be equipped with large weapon systems. In this case, the control center and living area should be organized on intermediate floors within the structure. However, in the event of a hydraulic failure, the collapse of the structure may result in the death of personnel. Transferring this control system to the external environment requires moving an extra structure and creating a second system. This creates operational costs and time constraints.

[0008] Today, an example of security towers that can be transported to the area and installed and made ready for use when needed to ensure security in military and civilian areas is the invention subject to the patent application numbered TR2015 / 06094 and titled “Mobile-Rotating Security Tower”. The invention relates to a mobile-rotating security tower that can be used to ensure the safety of personnel such as soldiers, police, and security guards while monitoring or protecting the institution where they are located. This tower can rotate 360° around itself with the personnel inside. The location of the tower can be changed and fixed when desired.

[0009] As a result, the requirement for a mobile military structure which eliminates the abovementioned problems and the insufficiency of the current solutions makes it necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.

[0054] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0055] In this detailed description, the mobile military structure (100) used to perform defense tasks against counter-threats in the military areas and civilian facilities only as an example for a better understanding of the subject matter and non-limiting effect.

[0056] The inventive mobile military structure (100) shown in Figure-1 a is a structure that can accommodate all the equipment it needs, which can perform surveillance, counter-defense, communication and similar tasks in emergency situations or in areas where area protection is needed by taking the lower carrier body (101), which is manufactured in dimensions suitable for land, sea, train and air transportation, to the desired areas. The aforementioned mobile military structure (100) basically comprises a lower carrier body (101), which houses the entire system and is armored for protection against firearms, in dimensions in accordance with international transportation standards; and an upper tower (109) positioned on the upper part of this lower carrier body (101), containing only weapons, antennas, cameras, lighting and similar equipment, in a bulletproof structure, elevated with elevating elements and locked in position with a balance lock. In addition, two drones (119) are preferably hidden within the said lower carrier body (100) for surveillance and counter-attack. At the four corners of the aforementioned lower carrier body (101), hydraulic body legs (102) are positioned, which act as the necessary leverage for the mobile military structure (100) to get on and off the transportation vehicles and stabilize the system on uneven ground. The aforementioned hydraulic body legs (102) are placed at the apex of the connection interface to the lower carrier body (101 ), reducing the force load transferred to the ground from above. The side doors (103), which are positioned on the side of the aforementioned lower carrier body (101) and provide access to the area where vital equipment such as hydraulics and generators carried on the lower carrier body (101 ) are housed, are bulletproof and prevent external damage to the systems. The hydraulic leg cover (104), which closes the opening through which the hydraulic body legs (102), which keep the aforementioned mobile military structure (100) in balance outside and which must remain open continuously, is centered with sliders and similar systems to close the opening formed. Thanks to the aforementioned hydraulic leg cover (104), systems such as hydraulics and generators, which can be accessed through the gaps where the hydraulic body legs (102) exit, are prevented from being damaged or accessed from the outside. On the aforementioned lower carrier body (101), a personnel entrance door (105), which can be entered only after passing through various security steps from the outside and can only be controlled from the inside, where access from the outside is closed after entry, and which performs opening and closing operations by means of bolts and similar systems, is positioned for personnel to access the command and control center (118) and the area protected against armed fire. A bulletproof counter firing support window (106) is positioned on the lower carrier body (101) for the personnel to use for surveillance purposes while firing against imminent threats from outside while inside the bulletproof lower carrier body (101) on the ground floor. Personnel entry control (107), where the personnel first enter and the personnel entrance door (105) is opened after completing the security steps, allows limited control of the hydraulic body legs (102) that allow the mobile military structure (100) to be lowered from the vehicle top and similar places outside the entrance. The aforementioned personnel entry control (107) is the control panel where the personnel from outside communicate with video and audio after entering the building, before entering. For armed defense of personnel against imminent threats from inside the bullet-proof lower carrier body (101), there is a firing port (108) that can be controlled from the inside and can be opened and closed by means of bolt and similar systems. In the said lower carrier body (101), there is a bulletproof drone parking cover (116) that works with sliders and similar systems to open and close the area used for transportation and long-term parking of drones (119). A bulletproof personnel perimeter observation window (112), which opens for personnel to observe the outside, is positioned on the lower carrier body (101) shown in Figure-1 b. The upper tower elevation platform (110), which is located inside the upper tower (109) shown in Figure-2a, raises the weapon, antenna and various similar equipment on the upper tower (109) and makes it operational by opening the bulletproof protection curtain (114) after the upper tower (109) goes up. The upper tower (109) shown in Figure-2b is lifted / raised by tower lifting equipment (111 ) The bulletproof protection curtain (114) shown in Figure-3a and Figure-3b, which opens after the upper tower (109) is raised and covers the outer surface of the tower lifting equipment (111 ), can be positioned wherever desired and protects the tower lifting equipment (111). The drone exit stage (117), which is positioned on both sides of the lower carrier body (101) shown in Figure-4a and Figure-4b, allows preferably two drones (119) in the mobile military structure (100), to enter and exit by working out of the lower carrier body (100), and opens and closes with sliders and similar systems outwards. On the lower carrier body (101) shown in Figure-5a and Figure-5b, a drone parking area (115) is positioned for the drones (119) to stop between patrols and to be intervened from the inside. Inside the bulletproof lower carrier body (101 ) shown in Figure-6, there is a command and control center (118), which can be used as a vehicle control and monitoring center, where the command and control of all equipment in the mobile military structure (100) is carried out, and which can be made habitable for personnel with heating and cooling systems. The drone parking area inner loading cover (113), which is positioned inside the aforementioned bulletproof lower carrier body (101), accessible from the command and control center (118), enables personnel to perform all kinds of interventions on the drone (119) from inside the bulletproof lower carrier body (101 ) without going outside when the drone (119) is in the parking position.

[0057] Thanks to the hydraulic body legs (102), the mobile military structure (100) subject to the invention performs loading and unloading of vehicles and similar equipment without the need for an external vehicle such as a forklift or crane. The hydraulic body legs (102) first move away from the lower carrier body (101 ) by opening themselves to the outside and isolate themselves from the vehicle by the hydraulic body legs (102) pressing themselves on the ground. During this process, it senses the height differences that may occur on the ground through sensors and automatically lifts itself by balancing the lower carrier body (101) over the hydraulic body legs (102). After the process is completed, the vehicle exits under the mobile military structure (100) and the unloading process is completed. Depending on the terrain condition, the operator lowers the mobile military structure (100) automatically and in a balanced manner by means of the hydraulic body legs (102), so that it remains close to the ground.

[0058] When the hydraulic leg covers (104) on the lower carrier body (101), which takes its position above the ground, are closed, the area where access or access to the generator, hydraulic equipment and similar equipment inside the lower carrier body (101) is partially possible is re-protected as bulletproof. At this stage, the hydraulic body legs (102) stabilize the mobile military vehicle (100) on the outside, while the inside of the lower carrier body (101 ) remains a protected area. In addition, four side doors (103), which are organized for maintenance and access to the area where hydraulic equipment, generators and similar equipment are located, can be opened and accessed from the inside only with the command of the personnel.

[0059] After the mobile military structure (100) is placed in the area where it will operate, after a few levels of security approval through the personnel entrance control (107) located outside, the personnel entrance door (105) is opened and the system can be controlled from the inside. Following these procedures, the control of the mobile military structure (100) is automatically transferred only to the command and control center (118) located inside, and does not receive any commands from the outside.

[0060] Personnel entering the mobile military structure (100) can continue the installation of the system from inside by first closing the personnel entrance door (105) for security reasons, or they can manage the installation process from the outside by taking the external control unit inside. First of all, after ensuring that the mobile military structure (100) is stable and on a solid ground, the tower lifting equipment (111 ) is activated and the upper tower (109) is opened at the desired height. After ensuring the height of the upper tower (109), locking equipment is activated to ensure that it remains stable.

[0061] After the upper tower (109) is positioned and ready at the desired location, special weapons, radars, antennas, cameras and similar equipment carried inside or connected externally are taken out and made ready by means of the upper tower elevation platform (110) after the bulletproof protection curtain (114) is opened. In order to protect the tower lifting elements (111) and similar sub-equipment, the bulletproof interlocking bulletproof protection curtain (114) is lifted by means of various systems to protect the area from the lower carrier body (101) to the upper tower (109).

[0062] Once the aforementioned bulletproof protective screen (114) is removed, the personnel can control, monitor and keep operational the sub-systems organized according to their needs from the command and control center (118) located inside. In order to mark the area where it is located as a protection zone and to create a patrol area, the drone opens the cover (116) of the drone parking area and takes the drone exit stage (117) outside. Here, it now operates the drone (119) and teaches the desired patrol area. When it returns, it can leave the drone (119) in the previously defined drone parking area (115) and have it patrolled at desired periods. It automatically identifies these patrols and can also monitor and record the images taken by the drone (119) day and night via the command control center (118). It can be used in the same way to counterattack with a second drone (119). After performing the defense operation with the ammunition attached to the drone (119), the drone can come to the drone parking area (115) and the drone can be placed on the exit stage (117). After the said drone exit stage (117) is pulled inside, the drone parking cover (116) is closed and the drone (119) is parked in the safe area. The drone parking area inner loading cover (113), which provides access to this area, can be opened by the personnel and ammunition can be loaded in a safe area and can be used operationally. Drone (119) maintenance and similar needs can be organized through the said drone parking area inner loading cover (113). In order to observe the immediate area, personnel can observe the bulletproof personnel perimeter observation window (112) located inside the lower carrier body (101). In case of any infiltration attempt, it can observe the incoming threats, preferably through 2 firing ports (108) in the lower carrier body (101), with the counter fire support window (106) also in the lower carrier body (101), and can defend from the safe area.

[0063] Upon completion of the installation of the mobile military structure (100) in the desired area, all operations can be carried out by the personnel in a safe environment by controlling the equipment from the bulletproof lower carrier body (101).
