[0087] To have a clearer understanding of the technical features, the objectives, and the effects of this application, specific implementations of this application are now illustrated with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0088] Many specific details are set forth in the following descriptions to facilitate a full understanding of this application, but this application may further be implemented in other manners different from those described herein and is therefore not limited by specific embodiments of this application below.

[0089] As shown in this application and the claims, words such as “a / an, ” “one, ” “one kind, ” and / or “the” do not refer specifically to singular forms and may alternatively include plural forms, unless the context expressly indicates an exception. In general, terms "comprise" and "include" merely indicate including clearly identified steps and elements. The steps and elements do not constitute an exclusive list. A method or a device may also include other steps or elements.

[0090] This application provides a recommendation method for device selection in a drive train, and devices in the drive train include a driver, a motor, and an actuator. In this embodiment of this application, device selection in the drive train is to select specific models of the converter, the motor, and the actuator. The specific models of the converter, the motor, and the actuator include device characteristic parameters. The specific models of the converter, the motor, and the actuator are defined by a manufacturer. Devices of a same model have a same device characteristic parameter. For example, converters of a same model have a same input voltage, output voltage, frequency range, rated output power, rated current, and the like Devices of different models have different device characteristic parameters. One device characteristic  parameter may be different, or a plurality of device characteristic parameters may be different. Converters, motors, and actuators of different models have different economical costs and have different impact on the environment. An objective of this application is to recommend a device portfolio in the drive train to a user, to take economical costs and environmental impact into account, and to help the user select drive-train devices with the desired cost and environmental performance faster and more accurately.

[0091] FIG. 1 is a flowchart of a recommendation method 100 for device selection in a drive train according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in FIG. 1, the method 100 includes the following steps.

[0092] Step 110: Receive an application scenario, an operation parameter, a performance label, a financial weight, and a sustainability weight that are entered by a user.

[0093] The user may enter the application scenario, the operation parameter, the performance label, the financial weight, and the sustainability weight through a human-machine interface (HMI) .

[0094] The application scenario represents a usage scenario of the drive train, and is mainly related to an actuator, such as a fan, a water pump, a ball screw, or a belt. An application scenario library may be pre-built and the user may select a target application scenario from the application scenario library. The user may further add a new application scenario in the application scenario library.

[0095] The operation parameter may be used to describe an operating condition of the actuator in the drive train. A water pump is used as an example. Operation parameters may include fluid density, a life span, a flow rate, a head, an operating time, and the like. The user may set the operation parameters to 998 kg / m3, 15 years, 100 m3 / h, 20 m, and 20 h respectively.

[0096] The performance label indicates a performance factor that the user needs to consider. For example, for the water pump, the user needs to consider performance such as corrosion resistance, explosion resistance, or power density of the water pump. Performance labels may include a mandatory label and an optional label. The mandatory label is a hard label, and a device must meet a condition that is set in the mandatory label. The optional label is a soft label, and the device preferably meets a condition that is set in the optional label. Recommendation of the performance label reduces a technical standard for device selection. The mandatory performance label plays a limiting role, while the optional performance label plays a role in quantifying user preferences.

[0097] The financial weight and the sustainability weight respectively represent a proportion of a financial factor and a proportion of a sustainability factor, reflecting an emphasis of the user  on the financial factor and the sustainability factor. In this embodiment of the present invention, sustainability means impact of the device or the drive train on the environment. A sum of the financial weight and the sustainability weight is 1. It may be considered by default that the financial weight and the sustainability weight are respectively 0.5. If the user pays more attention to the financial factor, the financial weight may be increased; and vice versa, the sustainability weight may be increased.

[0098] Step 120: Determine device portfolio candidates in the drive train based on the application scenario and the performance label, and calculate energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates based on a device characteristic parameter of each of the device portfolio candidates and the operation parameter.

[0099] The application scenario and the performance label that are entered by the user constitute filtering conditions, and a device portfolio that does not meet requirements of the application scenario and the performance label is filtered out from all device portfolios, to obtain a device portfolio candidate in the drive train. That the application scenario is a water pump and the performance label is high corrosion resistance is used as an example. A device portfolio with no water pump and whose corrosion resistance is not high in a water pump is filtered out, and a remaining device portfolio is a device portfolio candidate. After the device portfolio candidate is determined, the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates is calculated based on the device characteristic parameter of each of the device portfolio candidates and the operation parameter for use in a subsequent process. The device characteristic parameter may be obtained from a PLM system, and the operation parameter is entered by the user in the previous step.

[0100] In some embodiments, the calculating energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates based on a device characteristic parameter of each of the device portfolio candidates and the operation parameter includes:

[0101] calculating a load point of an actuator based on the operation parameter and a characteristic parameter of the actuator in the device portfolio candidate;

[0102] generating a semi-analytic model based on a characteristic parameter of a converter and a characteristic parameter of a motor in the device portfolio candidate, and entering the load point into the semi-analytic model to calculate energy consumption of the converter and energy consumption of the motor; and

[0103] calculating energy consumption of the actuator based on the energy consumption of the motor, and adding the energy consumption of the converter, the energy consumption of the motor and, the energy consumption of the actuator in the device portfolio candidate to obtain  the energy consumption of the device portfolio candidate.

[0104] For example, for a water pump drive train, the energy consumption of the device portfolio candidate may be calculated according to the following steps:

[0105] (1) Estimate a load point

[0106] (1.1) Generate pump characteristic curve functions H-Q and η-Q based on a characteristic parameter of a water pump, where H represents a head, Q represents a flow rate, and η represents efficiency;

[0107] (1.2) Obtain η based on the function η-Q and entered Q;

[0108] (1.3) Calculate a water pump load power and a water pump input power;

[0109] (1.4) Calculate a relative load point according to an affinity law of the water pump, where

[0110] Pload=Q·H·ρ·g

[0111] Trelative=nrelative2

[0112] Pload represents the water pump load power of, ρ represents fluid density, g represents a gravity acceleration, Pinput represents the water pump input power, Pnormrepresents a normal pressure power of the water pump, nrelative represents relative efficiency, and Trelativerepresents the relative load point.

[0113] (2) Calculate energy consumption of the converter and the motor: generating a semi-analytic (semi-analytic) model based on a device characteristic parameter of a converter and a device characteristic parameter of a motor, and entering the load point into the semi-analytic model to obtain the energy consumption of the converter Lossconverterand the energy consumption of the motorLossmotor

[0114] (3) Calculate energy consumption of the water pump Losspump:

[0115] Losspump=Pinput·η-Lossmotor

[0116] (4) Calculate energy consumption Losstotal=Lossconverter+Lossmotor+Losspumpof the device portfolio candidate

[0117] Step 130: Calculate a financial score and a sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates, and calculate a total score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the  financial weight, the sustainability weight, and the financial score and the sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates; and

[0118] calculate the financial score and the sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates, so that a financial factor and a sustainability factor of the device portfolio candidate can be quantized. Based on the financial weight and the sustainability weight that are entered by the user, as well as the financial score and the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate that are obtained through calculation, the total score of the portfolio candidate can be calculated through weighted summation. To this end, the financial factor, the sustainability factor, a weight of the financial factor, and a weight of the sustainability factor are comprehensively considered, and both economical costs and impact on the environment are taken into account.

[0119] In some embodiments, the calculating a sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates includes: calculating the sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates by using a product environmental footprint (PEF) assessment model; and

[0120] the calculating the sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates by using a product environmental footprint assessment model includes:

[0121] obtaining a product environmental footprint category value of each device in the device portfolio candidate at a device manufacturing stage and at an end of life;

[0122] calculating a product environmental footprint category value of each device during operation based on the energy consumption of the device portfolio candidate;

[0123] obtaining a sum of the product environmental footprint category values of the device based on the product environmental footprint category value of each device in the device portfolio candidate at the device manufacturing stage, during operation, and at an end of life;

[0124] normalizing the sum of the product environmental footprint category values of the device, and performing weighted summation on a normalized sum of the product environmental footprint category values of the device, to obtain an environmental impact; and

[0125] calculating the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate based on the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate and a unit price of carbon dioxide.

[0126] Specifically, the product environmental footprint assessment model is a method developed by the joint research center of European Commission for users to assess  greenhouse gas emissions of products. It aims to provide information on the greenhouse gas emissions and other impacts during a product life cycle, including a production and manufacturing stage, an operation and use stage, and a waste and recycling stage. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a product environmental footprint assessment model according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in FIG. 3, the product environmental footprint assessment model includes 16 category values, namely acidification, global warming potential, ecotoxicity, freshwater total, eutrophication, freshwater, eutrophication, marine, eutrophication, terrestrial, human toxicity, cancer total, human toxicity, non cancer total, ionising radiation, human health, land use, ozone depletion, a particulate matter, photochemical ozone formation, human health, resource use, fossils, resource use, mineral and metals, and water scarcity. Each category includes data from the production and manufacturing stage, the operation and use stage, and the waste and recycling stage.

[0127] Data of a device at the production and manufacturing stage and the operation and use stage may be obtained from a database or defined by a user. Data at the operation and use stage needs to be calculated based on energy consumption of a device portfolio candidate and an environmental footprint per kilowatt hour of a power grid used. For example, an energy mix (solar + wind) may be determined and an environmental footprint per kilowatt hour of the energy mix is obtained from an energy supplier. The environmental footprint per kilowatt hour is the same as a product environmental footprint, and also use 16 categories in the product environmental footprint assessment model. Category data of the device at the operation and use stage is calculated based on the environmental footprint per kilowatt of the energy mix and the energy consumption. It may be understood that each device in the device portfolio candidate corresponds to one product environmental footprint data table.

[0128] Category data of each category at the production and manufacturing stage, the operation and use stage, and the waste and recycling stage is added to obtain a category total of the category. For unification, the category total of each category is normalized. Specifically, the category total of each category is divided by a corresponding normalization factor (NF) , to obtain a normalized value of each category. Categories have different final weighting factors (FWF) , and the final weighting factor value may also refer to data released by the joint research center of European Commission. Weighting summation is performed on each category, so that an environmental impact of the device can be obtained, and can be expressed as the following formula:

[0129] Wherein, EF impact category value represents the category total of each category.

[0130] As shown in FIG. 3, the category acidification is used as an example. Category data of the category acidification in the production and manufacturing stage, the operation and use stage, and the waste and recycling stage is added to obtain a category total of the category. The category total of acidification is divided by a normalization factor NF of the category, and is multiplied by a final weighting factor FWF of the category, to obtain an environmental impact of the category. Environmental impacts of all 16 categories are calculated and then added up, to obtain an environmental impact of the device. The environmental impact represents a comprehensive score of environmental performance of a product.

[0131] An environmental impact of the converter, an environmental impact of the motor, and an environmental impact of the actuator in the device portfolio candidate are respectively calculated. The environmental impact of the converter, the environmental impact of the motor, and the environmental impact of the actuator are added to obtain an environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate.

[0132] The sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate may be calculated based on the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate and a unit price of carbon dioxide.

[0133] In some embodiments, an environmental footprint category includes a global warming potential category, and that the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate is calculated based on the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate and a unit price of carbon dioxide includes:

[0134] calculating an environmental impact per unit of carbon dioxide based on a weighting factor and a normalization factor of the global warming potential category;

[0135] calculating a unit price of the environmental impact based on the environmental impact per unit of carbon dioxide and the unit price of carbon dioxide; and

[0136] calculating the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate based on the unit price of the environmental impact and the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate.

[0137] For example, based on data from the joint research center of European Commission, the normalization factor of the global warming potential category is 5.35E+13, a weighting factor is 21.06%, and in this case, an environmental impact per unit of carbon dioxide is:

[0138]

[0139] Based on data from a carbon trading market of European Commission, a price of one ton of carbon dioxide is:

[0140] Price of 1 ton CO2=72.44 Euro

[0141] Based on the environmental impact per unit of carbon dioxide and the unit price of carbon dioxide, the unit price of the environmental impact is calculated as:

[0142]

[0143] The sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate may be calculated based on the unit price of the environmental impact and the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate.

[0144] In some embodiments, that the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate is calculated based on the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate and a unit price of carbon dioxide comprises:

[0145] based on the environmental impact of the device portfolio candidate and the unit price of carbon dioxide, calculating sustainability costs of each of the device portfolio candidates, and determining lowest sustainability costs from the device portfolio candidates; and

[0146] calculating the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate based on the lowest sustainability costs and the sustainability costs of the device portfolio candidate.

[0147] For example, the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate may be calculated according to the following formula:

[0148] where XS represents the sustainability costs of the device portfolio candidate, SB represents the lowest sustainability costs, and HS represents a stringency factor of the sustainability score.

[0149] In some embodiments, the calculating a financial score and a sustainability score of each of the device portfolio candidates based on the energy consumption of each of the device portfolio candidates includes:

[0150] calculating financial costs of each of the device portfolio candidates, and determining lowest financial costs from the device portfolio candidates, where the financial costs include financial costs during device manufacturing, financial costs during operation, and financial costs at an end of life; and

[0151] calculating the financial score of the device portfolio candidate based on the lowest financial costs and the financial costs of the device portfolio candidate.

[0152] For example, the financial score of the device portfolio candidate may be calculated according to the following formula:

[0153] where XF represents the financial costs of the device portfolio candidate, SB represents the lowest financial costs, and HF represents a stringency factor of the financial score.

[0154] Step 140: Sort the device portfolio candidates based on a total score of each of the device portfolio candidates from high to low, and recommend a sorting result to the user.

[0155] The total score of the device portfolio candidate takes into account the financial factor, the environmental factor, and the weights of the two. A higher total score of the device portfolio candidate can better match a requirement of the user in terms of the financial factor and the environmental factor.

[0156] FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of a sorting result according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in FIG. 4, the financial score, the financial weight, the sustainability score, the sustainability weight, and the total score of each device portfolio candidate are presented to the user and sorted in an order of total scores from high to low. Among the device portfolio candidates, a model of the converter is 6SL3220-2YE36-OAF0, a model of the motor is 1LE1504-2BB03-3AA4, and a model of the water pump is 150 / 390HA_D300. The device portfolio has a highest total score.

[0157] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a recommendation method for device selection in a drive train according to an embodiment of this application. The following describes the recommendation method for device selection in a drive train in this application with reference to FIG. 2.

[0158] A user enters an operation parameter, a performance label, and a weight respectively by using an operation parameter input module 211, a performance label input module 212, and a weight input module that are in a user input module 21. The user further enters an application scenario (not shown) by using the user input module 21. A recommendation tool 23 determines a device portfolio candidate based on the application scenario, the operation parameter, the performance label, a financial weight, and a sustainability weight that are entered by the user by using the user input module. The energy consumption calculation module 231 calculates energy consumption of each device portfolio candidate by using models (such as a converter energy consumption model 231A, a motor energy consumption model 231B, a water pump energy consumption model 231C, and a load point calculation model 231D) , the operation parameter, a device characteristic parameter in a device  characteristic parameter set 22. Based on energy consumption data of each device portfolio candidate, a product environmental footprint assessment model 232 (as shown in FIG. 3) , and a calculation result of a baseline calculation module, a score calculation module 233A of a calculation module 233 calculates a financial score, a sustainability score, and a total score of each device portfolio candidate. The calculation module 233 sends the total score of each device portfolio candidate to a ranking and recommendation module 234. The ranking and recommendation module 234 sorts the device portfolio candidates in an order of total scores from high to low and recommends the device portfolio candidates to the user. A visualization module 235 visually presents a sorting result.

[0159] This embodiment of this application provides a recommendation method for device selection in a drive train. The financial score and the sustainability score of the device portfolio candidate are separately calculated. Weighting summation is performed on the financial score and the sustainability score, to obtain the total score of the device portfolio candidate. The device portfolio candidates are sorted based on the total scores, and the sorting result is recommended to the user. The economical costs and the environmental impact are comprehensively considered, and the weight of the financial factor and the weight of the environmental factor can be adjusted by the user, thereby improving accuracy and flexibility of device selection.

[0160] This application further provides an environmental impact assessment method for drive train. FIG. 5 is a flowchart of an environmental impact assessment method 500 for drive train according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Fig. 5, the method 500 comprises:
