[0002] The object of the invention is a transportable sanitary unit, intended especially for use at mass events, for individual rental, and as equipment for government institutions.
[0003] From the state of the art, sanitary units are known that can be retracted from an operational position into a transport position, where they have a lower height than in the operational position. Among others, from the European patent descriptions EP 2657414 Bl and EP 3724422 Bl, as well as the American patent US 9060652 B2, a sanitary unit is known in which there is an upper section and a lower section that are interconnected and can slide vertically into each other. The upper section is slid into the lower section, and the base of the lower section - which forms the floor - is parallel to the base of the upper section - which forms the roof - both in the transport and operational positions. Both the roof and floor have forklift fork openings: those in the floor allow the module to be moved and unloaded, and those in the roof enable the unit to be extended from the transport to the operational position.
[0004] From European application EP 0760618 Al, a device for separation-type toilet system is known, where the upper section, which by means of a hinge, is interconnected with the lower part of one of its walls. In the transport position, the ceiling (part of the upper section) lies parallel to the base (floor); but in the operational position, it forms an inclined rear wall at an obtuse angle to the lower rear wall. The height of the upper section in the operational position is not suitable for standing but is designed for sitting. A pneumatic actuator connects the lower side wall to the roof wall.
[0005] From Japanese patent JP 5186629 B2, a sanitary unit is known that includes a lower and upper section hinged together at the rear walls. In the operational position, the roof and floor lie parallel to each other. In the transport position, the upper rear wall lies parallel to the floor opposite to this floor, and the roof is perpendicular to it. The upper section is tilted 90° forward around the rear hinges. The lower section includes the floor, two side walls, a rear wall, and a lower door part; while the upper section comprises the roof, two upper side walls, an upper rear wall, and an upper door part.
[0006] Sanitary units known from the state of the art, which allow them to be retracted from the operational position to the transport position with a lower height than that of the operational position, are adapted to be extended and retracted using a forklift truck or, in the case of solutions where the upper section of the unit is interconnected to the lower section by a hinge, they are only adapted to single-seat solutions. The known solutions are not suitable for sanitary units containing more than one seat, which can be manually extended from the transport position to the operational position without the use of additional equipment.
[0007] A transportable sanitary unit containing a floor, a roof, side walls, a back wall, and a door leaf located opposite the back wall, its back wall being divided into a lower back wall and an upper back wall, and the upper back wall being connected to the roof and constituting, together with it, and other elements rigidly connected to the roof, the upper section of the unit, and the lower rear wall is connected to the floor and constitutes, together with it and other elements rigidly connected to the floor, the lower section of the unit, and the side walls are divided into a lower side wall and an upper side wall, and the lower side walls are rigidly connected to the floor, with the upper section on the side of the lower edge of the upper rear wall being pivotally connected to the lower section on the side of the upper edge of its lower rear wall, and the lower section containing a sanitary device, according to the invention is characterized by the following, that the lower side walls contain, on their edges perpendicular to the floor, first linear guides, in which the upper side walls can slide vertically, in addition, the upper section of the unit contains two rear upper posts that are perpendicular to the roof and rigidly connected to it at one of its ends, and the lower section of the unit contains two rear lower posts that are perpendicular to the floor, which are rigidly connected to the floor on the side of the rear wall that is between these rear lower posts, at its end on the side opposite to the floor the rear lower post is connected to the rear upper post by a first one- degree-of-freedom joint, and in addition there is at least one partition wall between the side walls, which includes a lower partition wall that is connected to the floor and has second linear guides on its edges that are perpendicular to the floor, and the upper partition wall is seated in these second linear guides and slides vertically, and furthermore, the unit includes two pneumatic actuators, each of which is interconnected by a hinge, at one end, to the lower section of the unit on one end and to the upper section on the other end, one of these pneumatic actuators being located on the side of one of the side walls and the other on the side of the other of the side walls.

Thanks to the upper wall being connected to the lower wall vertically and slidably, but not permanently, connected to the roof, the weight of the upper section of the unit is reduced during retracting and extending. In addition, the use of pneumatic cylinders further assists the assemblers in extending the unit from the transport position to the operational position, and allows the unit to be safely retracted from the operational position to the transport position. The use of forklift fork openings in the floor allows the transportable sanitary unit to be unloaded from the semi-trailer and positioned at its final destination.

[0014] The transportable sanitary unit according to the invention, in the first embodiment, includes a rectangular floor 1, a rectangular roof 2, side walls 3, a rear wall 4, and two partition walls 5 that divide the sanitary unit into three stalls. Each stall contains a sanitary device in the form of a toilet bowl 6. In addition, each stall has a door leaf 7 opposite the rear wall 4. The rear wall 4 is divided into a lower rear wall 4a and an upper rear wall 4b. Each side wall 3 is divided into a lower side wall 3a and an upper side wall 3b. In addition, there are two rear lower posts 8a, perpendicular to the floor 2, connected to the floor 1, these are located opposite each other on the side of the rear lower wall 4a on the side of one of the lower side walls 3a each. Each of the lower side walls 3a has first linear guides 9 on its edges that are perpendicular to the floor 1. The upper side walls 3b slide vertically in these guides and are detachably connected to the roof 2 via their upper edges. In addition, two upper rear posts 8a perpendicular to it are rigidly connected to the roof 2 from below, and the upper rear wall 4b is connected to these upper rear posts 8a. Each rear lower post 8a is connected to the lower end of the rear upper post 8b by a first one-degree-of-freedom joint 10 at its upper end. Each partition wall 5 is parallel to the side walls, and is further divided into a lower partition wall 5a and an upper partition wall 5b. Each of the lower partition walls 5a is rigidly connected to the floor 1 and has second linear guides 11 on its edges that are perpendicular to the floor 1. The upper partition wall 5b slides vertically in these guides and is detachably connected to the roof 2 via its upper edge. In addition, the unit contains two pneumatic actuators 12, each of which is hingedly connected at one end, to the rear upper post 8a and at the other end, is hingedly connected to the floor 1. It contains two front lower posts 13a, each of which is rigidly connected at its one end to the floor 1, one on the side of one of the lower side walls 3 a and the other on the side of the other lower side wall 3a, each of the front lower posts 13a being connected by a second one-degree-of-freedom joint 14 to the front upper post 13b. In addition, the floor 1 on each of its edges contains two openings 15 for forklift forks. The floor 1 and the roof 2 contain brackets 16 for attaching the door leaves 7, which are detachably and pivotally connected to them. Each of the first joints 10 and the second joints 14 includes a first mechanical interlock 17 and a second mechanical interlock 18, respectively, which are located on the rear side of the transportable unit and are connected, respectively, to the rear upper post 8b, in the case of the first mechanical interlock 17, and to the front upper post 13b, in the case of the second mechanical interlock. The coaxial position of the respective lower posts 8a and 13a relative to the upper posts 8b and 13b is locked by a locking pin 19 that is seated in a hole in the interlock 17 and 18, as well as in a corresponding hole in the lower posts 8a and 13a. The elements rigidly connected to the floor 1, such as the rear lower posts 8a, the lower side walls 3a, the lower rear wall 4a, the lower partition walls 5a, and the front lower posts 13a, together form the lower section of the unit, while elements rigidly connected to the roof 2, such as the rear upper posts 8b, the upper rear wall 4b, together form the upper section of the unit. The side walls 3 have covers 20 that are detachably connected to the front posts 13a and 13b as well as to the rear posts 8a and 8b.
[0015] The following describes the principles of operation of the transportable sanitary unit according to the invention.
[0016] For the transportation purposes, the transportable sanitary unit is retracted from the operational position to the transport position, in which it has a lower height than in the operational position. First, the door leaves are removed, as well as the covers 20, and the upper side walls 3b are moved downwards in the first linear guides 9 of the lower side walls 3a, just as the upper partition walls 5b are moved downwards in the second linear guides 11 of the lower partition walls 5b, having first disconnected them from the roof 2. Next, the front upper posts 13b are retracted by rotating them 180° around the hinge. Then, the upper part of the transportable sanitary unit is retracted by rotating it through 90° in the first joints 10, which connect the lower rear posts 8a to the upper rear posts 8b, obtaining the transport position of the unit.

Patent claims1. A transportable sanitary unit containing a floor, a roof, side walls, a back wall, and a door leaf located opposite the back wall, its back wall being divided into a lower back wall and an upper back wall, and the upper back wall being connected to the roof and constituting, together with it, and other elements rigidly connected to the roof, the upper section of the unit, and the lower rear wall is connected to the floor and constitutes, together with it and other elements rigidly connected to the floor, the lower section of the unit, and the side walls are divided into a lower side wall and an upper side wall, and the lower side walls are rigidly connected to the floor, with the upper section on the side of the lower edge of the upper rear wall being pivotally connected to the lower section on the side of the upper edge of its lower rear wall, and the lower section containing a sanitary device, characterized in that, the lower side walls (3a) contain, on their edges perpendicular to the floor (1), first linear guides (9), in which the upper side walls (3b) can slide vertically, in addition, the upper section of the unit contains two rear upper posts (8b) that are perpendicular to the roof (2) and rigidly connected to it at one of its ends, and the lower section of the unit contains two rear lower posts (8a) that are perpendicular to the floor (1), which are rigidly connected to the floor (1) on the side of the rear wall (4) that is between these rear lower posts (8a), at its end on the side opposite to the floor (1) the rear lower post (8a) is connected to the rear upper post (8b) by a first one-degree-of-freedom joint (10), and in addition there is at least one partition wall (5) between the side walls (3), which includes a lower partition wall (5a) that is connected to the floor (1) and has second linear guides (11) on its edges that are perpendicular to the floor (1), and the upper partition wall (5b) is seated in these second linear guides (11) and slides vertically, and furthermore, the unit includes two pneumatic actuators (12), each of which is interconnected by a hinge, at one end, to the lower section of the unit on one end and to the upper section on the other end, one of these pneumatic actuators (12) being located on the side of one of theside walls (3) and the other on the side of the other of the side walls (3)2. The transportable sanitary unit as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that, it has two front lower posts (13a), each rigidly connected to the floor (1) at one end, one post is connected on the side of one of the lower side walls (3a) and the other on the side of the other lower side wall (3a), each lower front posts (13a) being connected to the front upper post (13b) by a second one-degree-of-freedom joint (14).
3. The transportable sanitary unit as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, the floor (1) on each of its edges contains two forklift fork openings (15).
4. The transportable sanitary unit as claimed in claim 1 or 2 or 3, characterized in that, the floor (1) and roof (2) contain brackets (16) for the rotary attachment of the door leaves (7).
5. The transportable sanitary unit as claimed in claim 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, characterized in that, each pneumatic actuator (12) is connected to the upper section via its rear upper post (8b), and to the lower section via its floor (1) on the side of the front lower post (13a).
