Description

COMPOSITION FOR CARING FOR AND / OR MAKING UP KERATIN MATERIALSTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for caring for and / or making up keratin materials. In addition, the present invention also relates to a non-therapeutic method for caring for and / or making up keratin materials.BACKGROUND ART

[0002] The development of formulations dedicated to caring for and / or making up the skin and / or lips, is permanent.

[0003] The transformation of a cosmetic composition during application thereof is preferable because it could provide more pleasant feeling to use.

[0004] However, either some products for providing transformation are still not satisfying or some products have soaping issue.

[0005] It is desired that such cosmetic compositions can deliver a desirable transformation feeling, have an anti-soaping aspect and / or stable.

[0006] Thus, there is still a need to formulate a composition, preferably for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, especially the skin, which can demonstrate transformation, have an anti-soaping aspect and / or stable.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The inventors have now discovered that it is possible to formulate such compositions having the desired properties as described above.

[0008] Specifically, the inventors have discovered that it is possible to formulate compositions, preferably for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, especially the skin, which can demonstrate transformation, have an anti-soaping aspect and / or stable.

[0009] Accordingly, in a first aspect, the present invention relates to a composition, preferably for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, comprising the following components:

[0010] (i) at least one plant derived butter;

[0011] (ii) at least one hydroxyalkyl-modified starch; and

[0012] (iii) up to 1.5 wt. %of at least one acrylate polymer, relative to the total weight of the composition.

[0013] The inventors have found that the composition according to the present invention demonstrates transformation during application and have an anti-soaping aspect.

[0014] The inventors have further found that the composition according to the present invention is stable, i.e., there is no phase separation after being subjected to centrifugation at 25℃, 900 rcf for 1 hour.

[0015] In a second aspect, the present invention relates to a non-therapeutic method for caring for and / or making up keratin materials, comprising applying the composition according to the present invention to the keratin materials.

[0016] Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will be set forth in the description that follows, and in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the present invention.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0166] Stability

[0167] Stability of composition of invention example 1 was evaluated by centrifugation at 25℃, 900 rcf for 1 hour. If there is phase separation when the centrifugation is over, then the tested composition fails the stability test, and if there is no phase separation when the centrifugation is over, then the tested composition passes the stability test.

[0168] Herein, the term "phase separation" means the composition is not stable, water phase is at least partially separated out of the composition.

[0169] It was found that the composition of invention example 1 is stable, i.e., there is no phase separation after being subjected to centrifugation at 25℃, 900 rcf for 1 hour.

[0170] Transformation feeling

[0171] Transformation feeling delivered by each composition of invention example 1 and comparative examples 1-4 was evaluated by 10 skin experts during a blind test.

[0172] In order to assess the transformation feeling, the experts applied 0.3 g of each tested composition on the skin. Next, the degree of transformation feeling delivered by each tested composition was scored with a score of "1-5" according to the following standard and then the scores were averaged for each composition.

[0173] 1: means no transformation feeling,

[0174] 2: means a slight transformation feeling,

[0175] 3: means a moderate transformation feeling,

[0176] 4: means a moderate to strong transformation feeling,

[0177] 5: means a very strong transformation feeling.

[0178] During the test, dimethicone (and) polysilicone-11 was used as a standard sample and the transformation feeling delivered thereby was scored as 5.

[0179] For the purpose of the present invention, the higher of score value, the better of transforming feeling.

[0180] Anti-soaping aspect

[0181] Anti-soaping aspect delivered by each composition of invention example 1 and comparative examples 1-4 was also evaluated as follows.

[0182] 200 μL of each tested composition was applied on a bioskin of 6.3 cm x 6.3 cm, massaged with a finger glove at 2 rounds / sfor 30 seconds and evaluated in terms of soaping film intensity with a score of "0-5" by 10 skin experts according to the standard shown in Fig. 1, wherein 0 represents no soaping, and 5 represents the most soaping and then the scores were averaged for each composition. For the purpose of the present invention, the lower of score value, the better of anti-soaping aspect for the composition.

[0183] The results of transformation feeling and anti-soaping aspect for compositions of invention example 1 and comparative examples 1-4 were summarized in Table 3.
