Method and system for filtering related products

Abstract

A method for filtering related products according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is performed by a computing device, and may comprise the steps of: in response to a user inputting a search term, rendering a search results page for displaying products corresponding to the search term; in response to the user's selection of a target product among the displayed products, rendering a first widget on the search results page; displaying similar products of the same type as the target product on the first widget; and filtering the similar products displayed on the first widget on the basis of one or more attributes.

Description

Method and system for filtering related products

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method and system for filtering related products, and more particularly, to a method for filtering products based on one or more attributes on a widget displaying related products.

[0002] With the advancement of logistics services and communication infrastructure, online transactions are becoming increasingly active. These online transactions are primarily conducted through online shopping malls. Online shopping malls display detailed information about products on their web pages, and users use this information to decide whether to purchase a product. Furthermore, users can also view detailed information about related products, such as similar products or products previously viewed or purchased by other users. Meanwhile, when purchasing a product, users are often prompted to select options. Product web pages typically contain descriptions of various options for the product and interfaces for selecting options. In particular, when a product has multiple attributes, users are required to select options for each attribute. Therefore, a more convenient method for viewing related product options is needed.

[0003] The technical problem to be solved through the embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method that allows a user to filter similar products or products additionally viewed or purchased by other users based on desired attributes on a related product widget.

[0004] In addition, a technical problem to be solved through embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method for improving the user's accessibility to the filtering operation of related products by displaying a widget in a pop-up form without having to display the related product widget by allocating a separate area.
