Abstract
Description
[0001] “STYLUS WITH TIP AND HANDLE FOR ENVELOPING
[0002] SURFACES, IN INTERCHANGEABLE SYSTEM FOR FINISHING
[0003] INSTRUMENTS”
[0004]
[0001] This descriptive report refers to a patent application for a stylus that can be used interchangeably with various instruments for enveloping surfaces, either in a ramp system using its tip or by a quick coupling combined with a ramp system using its handle, making the professional's work easier and more versatile.
[0005] Technical comments
[0006]
[0002] As you know, the enveloping service necessarily requires the use of styluses to cut the film that is overlaying the surface.
[0007]
[0003] One example of this is the patent document BR 102018014465- 0 called “STYLE WITH PROTECTIVE MOUNTING AND DIRECTION SYSTEM AT THE CUTTING STAGE”, published on 04.02.2020, which was filed by the same inventor as the application described below. This application claims, as the title indicates, the mounting of the blade on the stylus, which provides, as a consequence, a system for safe steering during cutting, protecting the user's fingers in the task of enveloping surfaces.
[0008]
[0004] One problem observed, in addition to the need to facilitate assembly and provide safety for the professional, is that the stylus, despite having various types of blades and ways of attaching them to the handle, is generally limited to cutting, which is not always enough, for example, to finish off the cut edges of the film or even immediately after cutting. Finishing is usually done separately, but other procedures are also required, such as pulling or scraping the glue from a desired point on the film, which is done with the blade itself, making finishing difficult and time-consuming. In addition, for certain points that are difficult to access, it is necessary to change the blade.
[0009]
[0005] The patent document BR 102020008889-0 called “CONVERTIBLE STYLET AND SCRATCHER”, published on 19.01.2021 , protects a mechanism for the blade, positioning it for both cutting and scraping the surface coating film, which is done by means of an external button.
[0010] Objectives of the request
[0011]
[0006] The stylus in question, which is the subject of this patent application, provides finishing tools that can work immediately, i.e. simultaneously after the film has been cut, thanks to the shape of its tip and a constructive adaptation to the handle cover. The handle can be coupled with a variety of tools via its quick coupling system to finish, pull out desired points, scrape off excess glue, access difficult points on the surface and other maneuvers during wrapping. Therefore, the stylus, through its tip and handle, acquires multiple functions in a single piece, and can also, during work, be magnetically attached to any metal point in a workshop, for example, being always in sight and always at the professional's hand.
[0012]
[0007] Having been explained superficially, the stylus is now better detailed in the attached drawings, which show:
[0013] Figures 1 and 2 - show the system for attaching the cover, which, due to its constructive layout, allows for quick coupling combined with a ramp system, for coupling the various instruments used in the envelopment;
[0014] Figures 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8 - show the system for attaching the instruments to the stylus tip;
[0015] Figures 9 and 10, 1 1 and 12, 13 and 14, 15 and 16, 17 and 18, 19 and 20 - show the coupling of the various enveloping instruments to the stylus handle, starting from its cover, fixing them by means of a quick coupling combined with a ramp system.
[0016]
[0008] According to the attached figures, the “STYLE WITH TIP AND HANDLE FOR COATING SURFACES, IN AN INTERCHANGEABLE SYSTEM FOR FINISHING INSTRUMENTS”, the subject of this patent application, is made up of a stylus ( 1) with a tip end (2) fitted with an opening (3 ) for the cutting blade to exit and, at the handle end (4) fitted with a terminal (5) with rails (6) in which an angled projection (7) aligned with a cutout (8) with steps (9) is formed on one side, followed by an oblong hollow ( 10). The stylus ( 1) receives, at the handle end (4), an anatomical cover ( 1 1) closed by a rounded edge ( 12) and which, from the opposite front edge, open ( 13), incorporates longitudinal guides ( 14), as well as extending from one side, externally, a tongue ( 15) with a toothed edge ( 16). The cover ( 1 1) is inserted into the stylet
[0017] ( I) by sliding between the longitudinal guides (14) and the rails (6), being guided by the tongue ( 15), which, during insertion, opens flexibly to run along the aforementioned angled ledge (7) in a ramp system, maintaining, with the return, a lock between the steps (9) of the cut-out (8) and the toothed edge ( 16) of the aforementioned cover
[0018] ( I I), securing it to the stylet ( 1).
[0019]
[0009] As a novelty for the project, the tip end (2), after the widest edge ( 17) forms a gradual recess ( 18) until it reaches the opening (3) where the cutting blade exits, while at the handle end (4) the cover ( 1 1) is hollowed out on one side by a cut-out (19) receiving an actuator plate (20), oblong, laminar and rigid, which has a pair of flexible claws (21) with rounded ends (22) at one end, followed by a magnetized insert (23), as well as a female click (24) and an angled protrusion (25) aligned with its front edge.
[0020]
[0010] The stylus ( 1) thus formed, through its tip (2) and the cover ( 11) of its handle (4) will receive various instruments, coupled respectively in a ramp system and in a quick-coupling system combined with the ramp, being instruments used for various manual maneuvers by the professional, to cut, trim edges, pull and other actions in coating films on various surfaces, in an enveloping service. [O i l] Thus, the tip (2) receives three types of tools created for enveloping, coupled from the recess ( 18), which is traversed in a ramp system with locking on the widest edge ( 17). To this end, as shown in figures 3 and 4, one of these tools, (26), has a semicircular front edge (27) with an opening (28) for the cutting blade to pass through, and an open but arched body (29) for coupling, after passing through the gradual recess ( 18) of the tip (2), hugging its widest edge ( 17). As you can see, the cut in the film made by the cutting blade passing through the opening (28) is finished immediately afterwards by means of the semi-circular front edge (27).
[0021]
[0012] As shown in Figures 5 and 6, another tool, (30), has a semicircular front edge (3 1), but combined with a stop (32) with an opening (33) for the cutting blade to pass through, as well as an open body finished with a contouring flap (34) and, on the opposite surface, forming a wider edge (35) followed by a gradual recess (36) up to the semicircular front edge (3 1), for coupling also by a ramp system and to hold the tip (2). The finish immediately after cutting, in this case, is provided by the stop (32), through which the cutting blade passes.
[0022]
[0013] As shown in Figures 7 and 8, the instrument (37) has a semicircular front edge (38), but combined with a stop (39) with an opening (40) for the cutting blade to pass through, delimited on the opposite surface by a sharp recess (41) followed by a plane (42) delimiting the widest edge (43), also to hold the tip (2) when coupled by a ramp system. The cut film is also finished by means of the stop (39) immediately after cutting.
[0023]
[0014] The handle (4), in turn, receives five types of instruments designed for enveloping, which incorporate its actuator plate (20). The actuator plate (20) is fastened to the cover ( 1 1) by means of the flexible claws (21) which close to pass through the cut-out (19) with their rounded ends (22), returning and forming a single piece with the instrument.
[0024]
[0015] As shown in figures 9 and 10, one of these instruments, (44), coupled with the actuator plate (20), has a cable terminal (45) extending a rectilinear perpendicular hook (46) (shown together with the cover ( 1 1) in detail A), which is coupled, by its actuator plate (20), to the handle (4) of the stylus ( 1). As can be seen, the angled protrusion (25) is passed through the angled protrusion (7) in a ramp system, until it is locked by the female click (24) on the pin (P) of the cutting blade, thus positioning the instrument (44) with the hook (46) exposed, for scraping glue onto any necessary point on the film. This system is the same for all the instruments in the handle (4).
[0025]
[0016] As shown in figures 11 and 12, another instrument, (47), coupled to the actuator plate (20) (shown together with the cover ( 1 1) in detail B), has a knife-shaped terminal (48) with a beveled tip, and is coupled by the combined quick-coupling and ramp system to the stylus ( 1). With the beveled tip (48), certain hard-to-reach points can be reached.
[0026]
[0017] As shown in Figures 13 and 14, the instrument (49) has a semicircular hook-shaped terminal (50) and is also locked to the actuator plate (20), (in detail enlarged C) by the same quick coupling and ramp system. The semicircular hook (50) allows the cut film to be pulled through.
[0027]
[0018] As shown in Figures 15 and 16, the same occurs with the instrument (51), equipped with a cable terminal (52) from which blades (53) and (54) extend, offset to each side, with locking on the stylus ( 1) by the cover assembly ( 1 1) and actuator plate (20) shown in detail D. The blades (53) and (54) reach various points for finishing the surface, even in places with difficult access.
[0028]
[0019] As shown in figures 17 and 18, another tool, (55), with a straight tip (56) with a gradually reduced thickness up to the edge (57), is attached to the stylus, as shown in the cover ( 1 1) and actuator plate (20) of detail E, for finishing at specific points.
[0029]
[0020] As shown in Figures 19 and 20, the tool (58) has a terminal with an overhang (59) in which a rim (60) is incorporated, as shown in detail F, also by the combined quick coupling and ramp system. Using the ring (60), the professional can finish in a circular direction, reaching specific sections on the cut made in the film.
[0030]
[0021] For use, the stylus ( 1), in any of its variations, can be adhered by the magnetized insert (23) to any metal surface in sight of the professional who, in this way, has the instruments of the tip (2) and the handle (4) in sight and at hand, as required in the surface enveloping service.
