[0001] “Silicone-free hair care product”

[0002] The invention relates to silicone-free hair care products comprising a combination of specific diesterquats and vegetable oils. The invention further relates to the cosmetic use of the silicone-free products to improve the conditioning properties of hair.

[0003] Not least due to the heavy strain on hair, such as dyeing or perming, frequent cleaning with shampoos and subsequent drying with hairdryer heat, as well as environmental pollution, the importance of hair care products is constantly increasing.

[0004] At the same time, the issue of sustainability, driven by a steadily growing need among consumers, is increasingly coming into focus for cosmetics manufacturers.

[0015] The silicone-free hair care products according to the invention ensure an excellent balance between hair care and protection of the hair fibers. The specific care formula guarantees product stability while requiring minimal use of consistency enhancers.

5. Silicone-free hair care product according to any of the preceding claims, containing as vegetable oil b) sunflower oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil or mixtures thereof.

6. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims, comprising at least one vegetable oil b) in a weight fraction of 0.05 - 3 wt.% of the total weight of the hair care product.

7. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims, further comprising - based on its total weight - 0.1 - 10 wt.% of at least one conditioning active ingredient selected from the group of (i) Triglycerides with a carbon chain length of 6 to 14 carbon atoms, (ii) Isopropyl esters with a carbon chain length of 10 to 20 carbon atoms, (iii) C2-Ce polyols, (iv) Trimethylglycin (v) or mixtures thereof.

8. Silicone-free hair care product according to any of the preceding claims, comprising at least two conditioning active ingredients selected from among the INCI names (i) Caprylic / Capric Triglycerides, (ii) Isopropyl Myristate, (iii) Glycerines, (iv) Trimethylglycine known compounds.

9. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims, containing at least one - optionally canonized - amidoamine in a weight fraction of 0.1 - 3.0 wt.% of the total weight of the hair care product.

10. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims, containing at least one amidoamine known under the INCI name Behenamidopropyl Dimethylamine.

11. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding statements, containing at least one non-ionic emulsifier in a weight fraction of up to 3.0 wt.% of the total weight of the product.

12. Silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims, containing at least one hydroxycarboxylic acid in a weight fraction of 0.1 - 5.0 wt.% of the total weight of the product.

3. Cosmetic use of a silicone-free hair care product according to one of the preceding claims to improve the care properties of hair, in particular to improve detangling, wet and dry combing, feel, hair volume and shine.
