[0002] The present invention relates to a suspension system for furniture, comprising a rail that can be fixed to a wall and has a retaining section, a furniture body with a top panel, a bottom panel and two side walls connecting the top panel to the bottom panel, at least two cabinet hangers fixed to the furniture body, each of which is suspended by a hook on the retaining section of the rail, and a fastening element arranged on a top side of the furniture body that is connected to the rail or is integrally formed with the rail, and a method for mounting a piece of furniture on a wall.
[0003] EP 2 745 739 B1 discloses a furniture suspension device in which a cabinet hanger is fixed to the back of a furniture carcass. This hanger is fixed to the carcass at one end and can be suspended from a rail, which is fixed to a wall, by means of a movable attachment point. The attachment point is movable relative to the furniture carcass for adjustment. Such cabinet hangers allow for the stable fixing of wall cabinets, especially when the fasteners on the rail are located in the area of the cabinet hanger. However, in lightweight walls with posts arranged at regular intervals within the wall, the fasteners for fixing the rail may be positioned at a distance from the cabinet hangers, which can lead to stability problems under heavy loads.

This object is achieved with a suspension system having the features of claim 1 or 13 and a method having the features of claim 14.
[0006] The furniture suspension system according to the invention comprises a rail with a retaining section that can be fixed to a wall, a furniture body with a top panel, a base, and two side walls connecting the top panel to the base, at least two cabinet hangers fixed to the furniture body, each of which is hooked onto the retaining section of the rail, and a fastening element arranged on the top of the furniture body, which is connected to or integrally formed with the rail, wherein the fastening element is fixed to the furniture body by at least one fastening means. The fastening element on the top of the furniture body thus not only provides protection against lifting the furniture body, but also a secure connection that improves the stability of the suspension.Especially when the furniture body is subjected to a high weight load, movement of the furniture body relative to the rail is limited or prevented by the fastening element, thus preventing the rail from detaching from the wall under heavy loads. The cabinet body 1 comprises a top panel 2, a base 4, and two side panels 3 that connect the top panel 2 to the base 4, with only one side panel 3 being shown. Adjacent to each side panel, a cabinet hanger 6 is fixed in the area of a rear panel 5 of the cabinet body 1. The cabinet body 1 can be part of a wall cabinet for a kitchen or bathroom, which is suspended from the wall. The cabinet body 1 is preferably made of panels of a wood-based material.

Claims
Claims 1. Suspension system for furniture, comprising a) a rail (10, 10', 20, 20') that can be fixed to a wall and has a retaining section (11, 21); b) a furniture body (1) with a top panel (2), a bottom panel (4) and two side walls (3) that connect the top panel (2) to the bottom panel (4); c) at least two cabinet hangers (6) fixed to the furniture body (1 ), each of which is hooked onto the retaining section (11 , 21 ) of the rails (10, 10', 20, 20') by means of a hook (8 ), and d) a fastening element (13, 25) arranged on a top side of the furniture body (1 ) which is connected to the rail (10, 10', 20, 20') or integrally formed with the rail (10, 10', 20, 20'), characterized in that the fastening element (13, 25) is fixed to the furniture body (1 ) by means of at least one fastening means.
2. Suspension system according to claim 1 , characterized in that the rail (10, 10', 20, 20') has a hook-shaped retaining section (11 , 21 ).
3. Suspension system according to claim 2, characterized in that the hook-shaped retaining section (11, 21) is located below mounting openings (16, 28) is arranged in the rail (10, 10', 20, 20') for wall mounting.
4. Suspension system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rail (10, 10') has an upper horizontal web which is integrally designed as a fastening element (13).
5. Suspension system according to claim 4, characterized in that the upper horizontal web has openings (14) for the at least one fastening means.
6. Suspension system according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the upper horizontal web extends over the entire length of the rail (10, 10').
7. Suspension system according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rail (20, 20') has an upper horizontal web (23) to which a separate fastening element (25) is fixed.
8. Suspension system according to claim 7, characterized in that the separate fastening element (25) is designed as a web which is suspended from an opening (24) of the upper horizontal web (23).
9. Suspension system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cabinet hanger (6) has an adjustment mechanism by means of which the height of the hanging hook (8) relative to the furniture body (1) is adjustable.
10. Suspension system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cabinet hanger (6) is screwed to a side wall of the furniture body (1).
11. Suspension system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rail (10) has several mounting openings (16) as elongated holes which are inclined with their longitudinal direction to the horizontal.
12. Suspension system according to claim 11, characterized in that at least one wall on a longitudinal side of the elongated hole is formed in a wave-like shape or with projections in order to secure the rail (10) to mounting means for wall attachment.
13. Suspension system for furniture, in particular according to one of the preceding claims, comprising: e) a rail (10, 10', 20, 20') fixable to a wall with a retaining section (11, 21); f) a furniture body (1) with a top panel (2), a bottom panel (4) and two side panels (3) connecting the top panel (2) to the bottom panel (4); g) at least two cabinet hangers (6) fixed to the furniture body (1), each of which is hooked onto the retaining section (11, 21) of the rails (10, 10', 20, 20') by means of a hook (8), characterized in that the rail (10, 10', 20, 20') which can be fixed to the wall has mounting openings (16, 28) for wall mounting which are arranged above the holding section (11 , 21 ).
14. Method for mounting a piece of furniture to a wall, with the following steps: - Fixing a rail (10, 10', 20, 20') with a holding section (11 , 21 ) to a wall; - Hanging at least two cabinet hangers (6) fixed to a furniture carcass (1) with a hanging hook (8) on the holding section (11 , 21 ) of the rail (10, 10', 20, 20'); - Arranging a fastening element (13, 25) on a top side of the furniture body (1) which is connected to the rail (10, 10', 20, 20') or integrally formed with the rail (10, 10', 20, 20'), and - Fixing the fastening element (13, 25) to the furniture body (1) via at least one fastening means.
15. Method according to claim 14, characterized in that after the furniture body (1 ) has been hung, the furniture body (1 ) is raised via an adjustment mechanism of the cabinet hanger (6).
