Provided are a wireless communication method and a communication device. The method comprises: a first device communicates with a second device by means of a first channel, wherein whether the first channel is occupied is determined on the basis of a first channel sensing result obtained by the second device performing channel sensing and a second channel sensing result obtained by an assistant node performing channel sensing, and the assistant node is used for assisting in communication between the first device and the second device. In embodiments of the present application, a second device and an assistant node can simultaneously perform channel sensing for a channel (i.e., "the first channel"), and whether the channel can be reserved for a first device is determined on the basis of channel sensing results of the two devices, or whether a first device can use the channel is determined on the basis of channel sensing results of the two devices. Compared with a conventional channel sensing scheme in which a second device or an assistant node performs channel sensing, the present invention facilitates improvement of the accuracy of channel sensing results, thereby reducing interference generated during use of a first channel.
